  1. 0:00All right, what's up? It's Thrax Trades.
  2. 0:02We are back for another video. In this
  3. 0:04video, I'm going to be doing a monthly
  4. 0:06recap of January. I'm going to talk
  5. 0:08about what we did well, what we did
  6. 0:12wrong, and what we're going to do
  7. 0:14heading into next month to hopefully
  8. 0:16make next month a better month than we
  9. 0:18had this month. Um, but just to get the
  10. 0:20numbers out of the way in the beginning,
  11. 0:23this is the calendar for the main
  12. 0:25account I've been trading. It's
  13. 0:27currently sitting at about a $20,500
  14. 0:30balance on a 50K Express account. This
  15. 0:33month, out of all of the trading days
  16. 0:35that we had, I had two losing days. The
  17. 0:38good thing is that I did keep them
  18. 0:40relatively smaller than the winning
  19. 0:42days, and we had an absolutely massive
  20. 0:45week uh last week on this account. Just
  21. 0:49a little bit of backstory. Um, when I
  22. 0:52came into this month with trading at
  23. 0:55least Topstep, I had about four funded
  24. 0:59accounts with Topep. They all had about
  25. 1:01like a I don't know $2 to $3,000
  26. 1:04balance. And then in the very beginning
  27. 1:06of the month, I actually went on tilt. I
  28. 1:09tilted pretty hard. I think it might
  29. 1:11have been on this somewhere in this
  30. 1:14week. Uh, I basically blew all of my
  31. 1:17accounts except for this one. Um, and
  32. 1:20when I did that, I decided not to buy
  33. 1:22any more accounts. Um, and just for the
  34. 1:25meantime, go just with this account,
  35. 1:27focus on only one account. Um, which is
  36. 1:30different than what I usually do because
  37. 1:32I'm usually focusing on like four, five,
  38. 1:34six, sometimes eight funded accounts at
  39. 1:37a time. And I don't really copy trade
  40. 1:39them. Usually, I'm focusing all on all
  41. 1:42these different accounts throughout the
  42. 1:43week. Um, but I decided to take a step
  43. 1:45back and only focus on one account. We
  44. 1:47kept it pretty consistent this month.
  45. 1:50From this month, I'll tell you about how
  46. 1:52much I actually pulled in payouts and
  47. 1:54then how much I spent in fees. So, for
  48. 1:57this month, and this is really from one
  49. 1:59account in terms of payouts um with
  50. 2:01TopSep, I spent about $1,168.
  51. 2:05I did end up blowing um those funded
  52. 2:08accounts in the beginning and then after
  53. 2:10that I kind of went on tilt and I was
  54. 2:12just full porting some evals trading
  55. 2:14silver and just got absolutely rinsed.
  56. 2:17So we ended up giving Topstep about
  57. 2:19$1,168.
  58. 2:22But from this account I did pull uh
  59. 2:25after the split I took about $12,369
  60. 2:29in payouts this month from this account.
  61. 2:31So that puts us at profit before taxes
  62. 2:34about $11,21.
  63. 2:37So not too bad of a month for uh a
  64. 2:40singular 50k account basically.
  65. 2:44Now this account also I have three days
  66. 2:47done in this payout cycle. So next week
  67. 2:51hopefully um starting off February I'll
  68. 2:53take another $5,000 payout. Uh and then
  69. 2:56after split it will be 4,500 bucks. So,
  70. 2:59we're just going to try and basically
  71. 3:01milk this account at this point. There
  72. 3:03is no reason for us to continue trading
  73. 3:05this account aggressively because the
  74. 3:08max amount that you can actually take is
  75. 3:10that $5,000 payout. I can make, you
  76. 3:13know, 10, 20, 30 grand on this account
  77. 3:15more. I can make more money, but it's
  78. 3:17not going to really change anything.
  79. 3:19We'll go over the stats a little bit.
  80. 3:21This month in total on this account
  81. 3:25there was about $31,777
  82. 3:28in profit. I took over
  83. 3:32I don't know 250 trades. Although this
  84. 3:35is not necessarily that accurate because
  85. 3:37it counts a trade when you're like
  86. 3:39scaling in and out of micro contracts.
  87. 3:41And I do trade micro contracts and I do
  88. 3:43scale out and take partials and things
  89. 3:46like that. So, we're at about a 68% win
  90. 3:48rate with an average win to loss ratio
  91. 3:51of 1.2. Basically, the profit factor is
  92. 3:56a 2.6,
  93. 3:57which is not bad, but the equity chart's
  94. 4:00pretty nice. Some of these dips here
  95. 4:02though are from when I was taking
  96. 4:03payouts. But yeah, we had a pretty good
  97. 4:06month on this account. I would say for
  98. 4:08the most part, our analysis this month
  99. 4:10was pretty good. And a lot of these
  100. 4:14profits actually came from trading
  101. 4:16silver uh during the Asia session. It
  102. 4:18was just so volatile. There were so many
  103. 4:20opportunities for us to actually make
  104. 4:22money. So we ended up trading a lot of
  105. 4:26silver Asia sessions making some profits
  106. 4:28and then risking profits heading into
  107. 4:30New York session with NASDAQ trying to
  108. 4:33trade that. Then what ended up happening
  109. 4:36so again in the beginning I blew a bunch
  110. 4:38of funded accounts. Then what ended up
  111. 4:40happening this past week here, the last
  112. 4:43week of January, is I did pass two
  113. 4:48funded accounts with Topstep, and I ran
  114. 4:51them up to one of them was at like a
  115. 4:53$6,000 balance, and the other one was at
  116. 4:56a $4,800 balance, and they're brand new
  117. 5:00uh on the first payout cycle. And then I
  118. 5:02ended up like getting greedy. I was on a
  119. 5:0513-day winning streak with silver and I
  120. 5:09got greedy. I think this was on Tuesday
  121. 5:11night. I ended up blowing those
  122. 5:13accounts. So, that was pretty nasty
  123. 5:15because that was basically I mean, one
  124. 5:18of them was on their fourth day, one of
  125. 5:20the other one was on the third day. So,
  126. 5:22it was basically like $5,000 in payouts
  127. 5:25that just disappeared. But that's
  128. 5:27totally my fault, you know? Got
  129. 5:29overconfident. I thought basically I was
  130. 5:32the [ __ ] man. You know what I mean?
  131. 5:34like I I was on a win streak. I got way
  132. 5:36too overconfident. I was oversizing. I
  133. 5:38was taking stupid trades. I just wasn't
  134. 5:41really using proper risk management at
  135. 5:43all. And so we ended up losing those
  136. 5:44accounts. So that was a a good humbling
  137. 5:47experience to say the very least. And
  138. 5:49then I just ended up finishing out the
  139. 5:51month on this account just trying to
  140. 5:52milk more payouts. This is probably the
  141. 5:55best that I've ever done on a single 50k
  142. 5:59account or a single funded account.
  143. 6:02Obviously, there's other times where,
  144. 6:04you know, I'm trading multiple accounts
  145. 6:05and, you know, if you were to add up all
  146. 6:08the profits, they would, you know, look
  147. 6:10pretty good, too. But as far as it goes
  148. 6:12for a single XFA account, we did all
  149. 6:15right. We did pretty good. And now we
  150. 6:18got an account where we can basically uh
  151. 6:20milk those $150, $200 days and just pull
  152. 6:24payouts from it. So, as long as I don't
  153. 6:27tilt away $20,000, which
  154. 6:32if I do, that's actually crazy of me and
  155. 6:34I'd probably cry. But as long as I don't
  156. 6:38tilt this away, I think we should be
  157. 6:40okay heading into next month to start
  158. 6:42out. So, we're not net negative uh by
  159. 6:45buying challenges. I don't really think
  160. 6:47they're going to move me to live. If
  161. 6:49they were going to move me to live, they
  162. 6:51would have done it on the fifth payout,
  163. 6:52which was last week, but they didn't do
  164. 6:55it, so I'm fine with that. I don't
  165. 6:57really want to be in their live account.
  166. 6:58I don't find a benefit for it
  167. 7:00whatsoever. We'll continue to stay in
  168. 7:02these SIMF funded accounts and just try
  169. 7:05and rack up more accounts again uh and
  170. 7:07more payouts. But what I am going to do
  171. 7:10heading into next month is I'm going to
  172. 7:12start trading with other firms, uh, and
  173. 7:15start slowly stepping away from Topstep.
  174. 7:18And I have a plan for that and I'll go
  175. 7:19over that in a second. But this does
  176. 7:22mark like the eighth or nine month,
  177. 7:24ninth month in a row where I'm net
  178. 7:27positive with top step which is great.
  179. 7:30So previously I used to basically spend
  180. 7:33as much fees as I get in payouts or
  181. 7:35spend more in fees than I get in payouts
  182. 7:37and I was either break even or net
  183. 7:40negative on the month with Topstep. But
  184. 7:42over the past, you know, 8 to nine
  185. 7:44months, I would say since 2025 in June,
  186. 7:48we've been able to take out more in
  187. 7:50payouts than what we pay in fees. And at
  188. 7:52the end of the day, when you're trading
  189. 7:54SIM prop firm accounts, that's really
  190. 7:56all that matters. So, this month pretty
  191. 7:59good. You know, over $11,000 before
  192. 8:02taxes. We're starting off the next month
  193. 8:05basically with a $5,000 payout or $4,500
  194. 8:08after the split just immediately the
  195. 8:10first week of February. And then I'm
  196. 8:13going to be looking at copy trading and
  197. 8:16getting more allocation with other
  198. 8:18firms. And so I need to decide what
  199. 8:21firms I'm going to be trading with. Now
  200. 8:24there's a few firms I have in mind. And
  201. 8:27the way that I actually figured out like
  202. 8:29what firms I want to be trading with is
  203. 8:32I'm using something called prop firm
  204. 8:34match. So I'm actually going to show you
  205. 8:35guys what prop firm match is because
  206. 8:37it's pretty good. It's a great way to
  207. 8:40basically compare accounts and rules
  208. 8:43against each other to find out which
  209. 8:45accounts are the best for you and the
  210. 8:46way that you like to trade and the rules
  211. 8:48that you like to trade. So, if the goal
  212. 8:50is next month I need to basically build
  213. 8:52up more accounts and try and make more
  214. 8:55money from payouts, then the idea is I
  215. 8:58need to trade with other prop firms. I
  216. 9:00need to trade with new accounts and I
  217. 9:02need to understand their rules. So, I'm
  218. 9:04going to take you to look at prop firm
  219. 9:06match just really quickly so you
  220. 9:08understand what I'm looking at and how
  221. 9:10I'm using it. So, this is proper match.
  222. 9:13Um, I use this heading into next month
  223. 9:16to basically figure out what firms and
  224. 9:18what accounts I like to trade with. The
  225. 9:20cool thing about profirm match is they
  226. 9:22do allow you to basically compare
  227. 9:24accounts, look at different challenges,
  228. 9:27uh, basically see what the rules are
  229. 9:28here, what type of draw down it is, the
  230. 9:31max loss limit, um, and as well as
  231. 9:34profit splits. So, it's a great way to
  232. 9:36actually compare accounts against each
  233. 9:38other and figure out what firms you want
  234. 9:39to trade with. Because the goal for us
  235. 9:41is with prop firms, we have this
  236. 9:43opportunity where we can basically
  237. 9:45leverage multiple accounts. I mean, I
  238. 9:49can continue to trade this account, but
  239. 9:50of course, due to the rules, you know,
  240. 9:53I'm limited to a $5,000 payout every 5
  241. 9:55days. Well, if you get more accounts, it
  242. 9:58could be more than that, right? It could
  243. 10:00be more profit than $5,000 payouts. And
  244. 10:02that's kind of the goal. We want to
  245. 10:04scale this. The only way to scale it is
  246. 10:06by using more accounts and more prop
  247. 10:08rooms. So, if you do want to check out
  248. 10:10Proper Match, you can actually use the
  249. 10:12link in the pinned comment down below
  250. 10:15and go check it out. But as for me, next
  251. 10:18month we're coming out, we're still on
  252. 10:20decent a pretty decent win streak for
  253. 10:22this account. But next month, the goal
  254. 10:24really is to just work on evaluations,
  255. 10:27get more allocation, and try and
  256. 10:29continue our progress here with these
  257. 10:32prop firm accounts to hopefully have a
  258. 10:34bigger month next month. But that's
  259. 10:35basically it. Just want to do a quick
  260. 10:37overview of what happened this month.
  261. 10:39Blew some accounts in the beginning.
  262. 10:42Kept this account going strong. Ran up
  263. 10:44some more accounts at the end of the
  264. 10:45month. Ended up blowing them. Uh but
  265. 10:47nonetheless, we kept this account and
  266. 10:50next month we're going to be trying to
  267. 10:51grow more funded accounts and copy trade
  268. 10:54them together. If you guys want to watch
  269. 10:56me trade, I do trade basically every day
  270. 11:00or I try to trade every day live on
  271. 11:02YouTube and in the Discord. That's about
  272. 11:05it for this video. Just a quick recap
  273. 11:07and a quick plan of what I'm going to be
  274. 11:09doing next month. If you guys have any
  275. 11:11questions, feel free to ask them in the
  276. 11:12comment section below. I'm more than
  277. 11:14happy to answer them. And I will catch
  278. 11:16you guys next time I trade.
