  1. 0:00Do you think Gen Z are still competent
  2. 0:02enough for business or are reliable
  3. 0:04workers?
  4. 0:06>> I think there are humans that are
  5. 0:07reliable independent of age.
  6. 0:10Right? And so this idea of like Gen
  7. 0:11Alpha, Gen Z, Gen W, Gen, you know, X,
  8. 0:15whatever, who cares?
  9. 0:16Um,
  10. 0:17you have people and there's stuff that
  11. 0:18needs to get done and people who have
  12. 0:20skills in order to do it. I have very
  13. 0:22little, I put very little weight in
  14. 0:24terms of generations. I think these are
  15. 0:26also labels that we apply to blocks of
  16. 0:29years arbitrarily. You know, who I'm
  17. 0:31actually a Gen Z millennial hybrid.
  18. 0:34Okay, you know, it's not like you're a
  19. 0:36you know, a werewolf vampire hybrid with
  20. 0:38split DNA. It's like you've got a mom
  21. 0:40named Mary and a dad named David and you
  22. 0:42went to school just like everyone else
  23. 0:44did and some technology changed in the
  24. 0:46meantime and you either had the skills
  25. 0:48to learn the technology or you didn't. I
  26. 0:50don't think the basic drives of human
  27. 0:51have gone away. I've met some absolute
  28. 0:53savages who are Gen Z and Gen Alpha and
  29. 0:56I've met some absolute duds and that
  30. 0:58goes all the way up.
  31. 1:04I'll actually say this.
  32. 1:07You know, this generation doesn't want
  33. 1:08to work as hard.
  34. 1:10This generation has it so easy. Well,
  35. 1:13what the [ __ ] did you think was going to
  36. 1:14happen if our whole goal was to make it
  37. 1:16better for the next generation? We
  38. 1:18wanted to make it better and wanted to
  39. 1:20make it easier than we had it. We,
  40. 1:23right? And so if we actually
  41. 1:24accomplished that objective then it
  42. 1:25means that there's going to have less
  43. 1:26hardship for someone to go through.
  44. 1:29Isn't that the [ __ ] point?
  45. 1:31Right? And so in either way, either you
  46. 1:33make the argument that maybe they did
  47. 1:35get softer and whose fault is that?
  48. 1:36Ours. And if they didn't get softer,
  49. 1:39which again, there are spikes. If we're
  50. 1:41looking at generalities, maybe.
  51. 1:44But I think it's more so that those
  52. 1:45people they just work differently than
  53. 1:47they work not as hard. I think it's more
  54. 1:48likely they just don't want to work hard
  55. 1:50for you.
  56. 1:53It's like saying there's no good girls
  57. 1:55out there. It's like there's tons of
  58. 1:56good girls out there. They're just
  59. 1:57probably aren't good girls out there
  60. 1:58that want to date you. So, let's look
  61. 2:00inwards cuz that we can control.
  62. 2:01>> If you like this video and you're a
  63. 2:02business owner who wants to break
  64. 2:03through your current revenue ceiling, I
  65. 2:05distilled every lesson from scaling 10
  66. 2:06businesses past 10 million and three
  67. 2:08businesses past 100 million into a
  68. 2:10completely free scaling roadmap that
  69. 2:12I've used to go from zero to one, zero
  70. 2:13to 10, and zero to 100 plus. And so, you
