- 0:00When Netanyahu was the UN ambassador, a
- 0:03famous rabbi named Rabbi Minelson.
- 0:06So he said to Netanyahu, "What are you
- 0:08doing [music] to prepare the world? What
- 0:09are you doing to bring about the
- 0:10Messiah? Because there's only a few
- 0:12hours left."
- 0:19And Netanyahu, he referenced Purim. I
- 0:21mean, the attack on Iran was just before
- 0:23the holiday. So he's making that
- 0:25connection. He's making that connection.
- 0:26and the leadership in Iran, anyone who
- 0:28opposes the modern state of Israel uh is
- 0:31a Malachite and they're fair game when
- 0:33he said remember what Amalecch has done
- 0:35to you. So they already have the
- 0:37blueprints of the third temple.
- 0:39>> There's no reason why the miracle of the
- 0:41reestablishment of the temple on the
- 0:43temple mount is not possible.
- 0:44>> The sacrifice of the red heer was a
- 0:46necessary condition. [music]
- 0:47>> And you're saying it's taken place
- 0:48already?
- 0:49>> It's already happened. Yeah,
- 0:50>> it's already happened.
- 0:51>> Yeah, it's already happened. They
- 0:52sacrificed one. They said it was a test
- 0:54run, but I don't know if I really
- 0:56believe that it was a test run. It
- 0:59doesn't make sense to me. I don't find
- 1:00that very convincing.

- 1:45In today's episode, we'll be unpacking
- 1:47the religious symbolism shaping the
- 1:49conflict in the world today. As the
- 1:52crisis unfolds between Iran and Israel,
- 1:54we examine how ancient scripture and end
- 1:57times prophecy are influencing the
- 1:59scenes we are witnessing today. Dr.
- 2:01Aliatai is a scholar of biblical
- 2:04hermeneutics whose work sits at the
- 2:06intersection of sacred languages,
- 2:08comparative theology and comparative
- 2:10literature at Zetuna College. He has
- 2:13guided students through Arabic, creed or
- 2:15the cre credo theology, comparative
- 2:17theology, the sciences of the Quran,
- 2:20introduction to the Quran, and seminal
- 2:21ancient texts, helping bridge classical
- 2:24traditions with contemporary questions.
- 2:26He completed his MA in biblical studies
- 2:28at the Pacific School of Religion in
- 2:302011 before before going on to earn his
- 2:33PhD in cultural and historical studies
- 2:35in religion from the Graduate
- 2:37Theological Union in 2016. And something
- 2:41that you may not know about Dr. Ali is
- 2:43that he's also a native Iranian speaking
- 2:47Persian, Greek, Arabic, and Hebrew. Dr.
- 2:51Ali, it's an absolute honor to have you
- 2:53on. We're so thrilled and happy to see
- 2:56you. How is everything?
- 3:01Everything is well. Thank you for having
- 3:02me.
- 3:04>> Dr. Ali, we've been watching your
- 3:06videos. We've learned so much from them.
- 3:08Um, again, it really is an honor to have
- 3:10have you here. How is your Ramadan?
- 3:12Let's How is your Ramadan going so far?
- 3:14>> Alhamdulillah, everything's going well.
- 3:16Ramadan's a blessed time. It's a welcome
- 3:18interruption to the routine of life, you
- 3:20know, to kind of reset, refocus on
- 3:23what's really important. So, mah,
- 3:24everything's going well.
- 3:26>> Mashallah.
- 3:26>> M. I would have to say that for me, it's
- 3:29personally an honor to have someone from
- 3:31your background join this podcast. You
- 3:33know, often we're joined by people who
- 3:34are wellversed in the Islamic tradition,
- 3:36but then to have someone who's also
- 3:38wellversed in the Christian tradition,
- 3:40the Jewish tradition, and also someone
- 3:42who's fluent in the languages. Um, I
- 3:44believe, correct me if I'm wrong, but
- 3:46you can read Aramaic.
- 3:49>> Yeah, we can read and write and and
- 3:52write. This is like a great privilege
- 3:54and a great honor to have someone from
- 3:56the Muslim background
- 3:57>> explore this world and also convey it to
- 3:59us. So, for joining us, Great.
- 4:03>> Alhamdulillah. Thank you for having me.
- 4:04It's an honor for me to be here.
- 4:05>> Alhamdulillah. Dr. Ali, I think it's
- 4:08important that we start at what's
- 4:10happening right now in the world.
- 4:12>> We're seeing a lot of biblical symbolism
- 4:16being evoked in regards to the recent
- 4:18crisis unfolding in Iran and between
- 4:22Iran and Israel. Sorry. We heard that um
- 4:25Netanyahu himself, he referenced the
- 4:28holiday of Purin, if I'm correct, and
- 4:31the Amalcch in regards to the recent
- 4:34attacks on Iran like they were somehow
- 4:37meant to be synonymous with the dates.
- 4:40Is this correct? And and why is such
- 4:42symbolism being evoked?
- 4:45>> Yeah.
- 4:50So, fur is is a is a holiday in Judaism
- 4:54um that really celebrates the rescue of
- 4:58um the Jews in ancient Persia. So, the
- 5:03story of Podium is detailed in the book
- 5:04of Esther which is in the Hebrew Bible.
- 5:06Now, most historians don't believe the
- 5:08book of Esther is actually uh uh
- 5:11historical. Uh they consider it a
- 5:14historical novella which is to say it's
- 5:15it's it's fiction. Uh there's no
- 5:17evidence that Xerxes, you know, had a
- 5:20Jewish wife named Esther. Heroditus
- 5:22doesn't mention anything like that. Uh
- 5:24but nonetheless, they believe that it's
- 5:25that it's historically accurate. Uh and
- 5:28so um Esther is the wife of Xerxes, the
- 5:31king of Persia, the fifth century B.C.E.
- 5:34Uh and then uh Xerxes has a minister
- 5:37named Hmon or Hammon, right? And Hammon,
- 5:41we're told, is an Agite. So what is an A
- 5:45>> Yes. about to ask my next question.
- 5:47[laughter]
- 5:48>> Yeah. So, an Agite apparently is a
- 5:51descendant of Agag and Agag was the king
- 5:55of the Amalachites or the king of
- 5:57Amalcch. So, this goes all the way back
- 5:59to the time of Saul, the first king of
- 6:02Israel, uh who was commanded by God as
- 6:06it were, uh I believe through the
- 6:08prophet Samuel to massacre all of the
- 6:10Amalachites. So, the Amalachites were
- 6:12the first group. Um, and it's a little
- 6:15bit uh ambiguous who exactly they are,
- 6:18but apparently there was a group who
- 6:19attacked the Israelites while they were
- 6:21in Sinai uh during um their time in the
- 6:25Sinai, their wanderings in the
- 6:26wilderness. Uh, and so God commanded
- 6:29them to um make war against the
- 6:31Amalachites and kill them. So, at one
- 6:32point Saul was told to kill all of them.
- 6:34For some reason, he spares a gag, the
- 6:37king of the Amalachites. Now later on
- 6:39he's killed but we're told somehow that
- 6:43Hmon who's a minister of Xerxes in the
- 6:45fifth century BCE in ancient Persia is
- 6:47somehow a descendant of a gag. Uh and so
- 6:51uh this is why you know uh the um the
- 6:55the Persian um uh powers as it were as
- 6:59it were want to wipe out all of the all
- 7:01of the Israelites in in Persia. And so
- 7:04uh Esther is able to persuade Xerxes
- 7:08with another man named Mori uh not to
- 7:11kill all the Jews of ancient Persia. And
- 7:14then this is celebrated uh through a
- 7:16festival called Purim. And so yeah,
- 7:18Netanyahu he he he mentioned uh he
- 7:22referenced Purim. I mean the I think the
- 7:24attack on Iran was just before the
- 7:27holiday. Yeah.
- 7:28>> I think Purim was on March 2nd or
- 7:30something like that. Just a few a couple
- 7:32of days ago. uh actually. So he's making
- 7:34that connection. He's making that
- 7:36connection. The leadership in Iran,
- 7:37anyone who opposes the modern state of
- 7:40Israel uh is a Malikite and their fair
- 7:42game. Anyone who uh agrees with the
- 7:45regime is critical of the modern state
- 7:47of Israel. So that's a dog whistle. A
- 7:49lot of people are waking up to that dog
- 7:50whistle. I mean, he he did the same
- 7:52thing uh October 29th, 2023,
- 7:56uh when he said, "Remember what Amalecch
- 7:58has done to you." Mhm.
- 7:59>> Uh and so for the uninitiated, they're
- 8:02thinking, well, just some weird sort of
- 8:04vague biblical reference, you know,
- 8:06whatever that means. Uh but we know that
- 8:08this is actually a call to genocide to
- 8:10kill me men, women, and children
- 8:12>> uh who disagree with um what he
- 8:16considers to be, you know, his
- 8:17understanding of of of Israel. Um
- 8:21>> so it's quite disturbing, I would say.
- 8:23So he's made reference to to Amalcch
- 8:25twice. finds in October of 2023 and once
- 8:28and and another time just recently.
- 8:30>> Uh Dr. Alia, I wanted to ask you on that
- 8:32topic like we've recently heard that
- 8:34Netanyahu himself is an irreligious
- 8:36person, someone who doesn't necessarily
- 8:38practice Judaism. I think Tucker Carlson
- 8:40mentioned that in a recent podcast and
- 8:42it wasn't debated. This man is not
- 8:44religious. So why is he um you know
- 8:48quoting scripture um referencing
- 8:50scripture in the name of um conducting
- 8:53some of the most demonic acts we've ever
- 8:55seen? They literally just bombed a
- 8:57school in Iran, killing 160 school girls
- 8:59and staff.
- 9:00>> Why would they be quoting scripture?
- 9:03>> Yeah, he's probably an atheist, but he
- 9:05has a religious base that he's trying to
- 9:07plate. And so you have, you know, this
- 9:10lood party. They're kahanists. They go
- 9:12back to this radical uh rabbi who was
- 9:16assassinated, Mayor Kahana. Uh so
- 9:19Kahanism has infiltrated Netanyahu's own
- 9:22party. So that's his sort of religious
- 9:23base. I think he's trying to plate his
- 9:25religious base even though he's not uh
- 9:27religious. So um Mayor Kahana, so for
- 9:30example, um uh Ben Gavir, right, who's
- 9:33in his, you know, close circle, um he's
- 9:36a kahanist. He has he used to actually
- 9:38have a a portrait in his office of of
- 9:41Baroo Goldstein. I don't know if you're
- 9:43familiar with Baroo Goldstein, but he
- 9:45was um an Israeli Zionist terrorist who
- 9:48murdered 29 Muslims worshiping at uh
- 9:52Masid Ibrahim Alisam. Uh it's called the
- 9:54the cave of the patriarchs massacre. He
- 9:57opened fire.
- 9:57>> Opened fire. Yes.
- 9:58>> In 1994. That's Baruk Goldstein. And he
- 10:01he injured hundreds more. And itir
- 10:04Bengavir used to have a portrait of him
- 10:06in his office. And Ben Gave right now uh
- 10:09is in the cabinet of Benjamin Netanyahu
- 10:11whose real name by the way is
- 10:13Milikowski. I mean these they're not
- 10:15really Jew they're not really Seemitic.
- 10:17I mean
- 10:18>> I would I'm willing to wager that if you
- 10:20did a DNA if he did a DNA test you you
- 10:22wouldn't find any Seemitic blood. And he
- 10:24doesn't believe in God either. So what's
- 10:26he doing in historical Palestine? He's a
- 10:29European uh colonist. Um but yeah, he
- 10:33changed his name to Netanyahu, which
- 10:35means given by God to, you know, sort of
- 10:37present himself as someone who's um I
- 10:40don't know, religious or something like
- 10:42that, someone that his base will uh will
- 10:44will accept. Um but that's I think
- 10:47that's the reason why he's doing it.
- 10:48Also, who knows? I mean, if if the war
- 10:51ends, he might be, you know, put under
- 10:53trial or something like that for for
- 10:55whatever if he's under investigation. So
- 10:57he actually benefits from a prolonged
- 10:59conflict
- 11:00>> uh right now. Uh but definitely there
- 11:03are people that are in his cabinet that
- 11:05are close to him uh that see this as a
- 11:08as a huge religious war and he's
- 11:11benefiting from that. It's keeping him
- 11:12in power. So So for example, one of the
- 11:15passages that they'll quote to is
- 11:17Ezekiel 38 and39. Right? This is a big
- 11:20topic right now uh among uh Zionist Jews
- 11:24as well as Zionist Christians. So,
- 11:26Ezekiel 38:39
- 11:28uh basically detail a future battle
- 11:30often called the war of Gog and Magog uh
- 11:33where a powerful enemy named Gog of Mog
- 11:37leads a coalition of nations uh to
- 11:40invade Israel and and God supernaturally
- 11:44uh intervenes and defeats Gog um you
- 11:48know demonstrating his power and
- 11:50sovereignty and the event is prophesized
- 11:52to occur in the latter days and of
- 11:54course the coalition against Israel
- 11:55according to those passages in Ezekiel
- 11:5838 and 39 includes Persia
- 12:00>> and so they're seeing uh Persia there as
- 12:03a fulfillment of what's happening right
- 12:04now uh with this conflict
- 12:08>> would that be the correlation uh goal to
- 12:10Jud Maj that we
- 12:13>> George Maj that we hear so would that be
- 12:15the is there correlation there
- 12:19>> yeah I think so I think it's the same I
- 12:21think it's the same uh Gog and Magog is
- 12:24Jew and Majj
- 12:25Um and there's actually um if you read
- 12:28those passages in 38 chapter 3839 of
- 12:31Ezekiel
- 12:32um there there's some correlation with
- 12:35uh with some of what we're told about
- 12:38Gog and Magog in the Quran uh as well as
- 12:41uh in the hadith. Um but uh if you read
- 12:46the context of those chap if you read
- 12:47those chapters very closely, it's not
- 12:49talking about current Persia. is talking
- 12:51about um some sort of uh Persia of the
- 12:55future.
- 12:56>> Um and we're told also in the hadith
- 12:58that that uh that an army of the
- 13:02antichrist will come from Persia. Um so
- 13:05it seems it seems like the the current
- 13:08regime in Iran will fall um and they'll
- 13:11be replaced by a regime that is much
- 13:13more congenial towards the whole Zionist
- 13:16project. M
- 13:17>> uh and then from there the army of the
- 13:19dhal will uh will basically be raised
- 13:22from our perspective.
- 13:24>> Well, I think we're going to come back
- 13:26to that conversation. But as Kamal was
- 13:28mentioning about Netanyahu, one thing
- 13:30that we also hear in a lot of this
- 13:32rhetoric that comes out is the phrase of
- 13:34greater Israel. Um that gets used in
- 13:37public debate quite quite often. uh
- 13:39sometimes, you know, meaning the West
- 13:42Bank, Gaza, perhaps the golden heights
- 13:44as well, and sometimes meaning a much
- 13:46larger map spanning uh Palestine,
- 13:48Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, and
- 13:52Saudi Arabia. I wanted to ask you, Dr.
- 13:54Ali, how many how mainstream is the idea
- 13:56of the greater Israel idea within
- 13:59Judaism? Or is it a nationalistic
- 14:02radical nationalistic view?
- 14:05No, I mean greater Israel, that's
- 14:07something that's found um in Genesis
- 14:09chapter 15. I mean, what is it's called
- 14:12um isma,
- 14:15which literally means like the fullness
- 14:17of Israel or something like that. Um and
- 14:20and so what we have in terms of between
- 14:23the river and the sea, that's just the
- 14:25tip of the iceberg. Greater Israel
- 14:27according to Genesis chapter 15, and
- 14:29this is something that the Orthodox
- 14:30tradition take very seriously, Christian
- 14:32Zionism takes very seriously. Mhm.
- 14:34>> Uh is the all of the land between two
- 14:36rivers. And um I mean there's there's a
- 14:40a theory that the Israeli flag
- 14:42represents because there's two blue
- 14:43lines right at the top and the bottom.
- 14:45And then you have the six uh the star of
- 14:48David in the middle.
- 14:49>> So there's a theory that those two blue
- 14:51lines represent the two rivers. These
- 14:53two rivers of the Nile and Euphrates.
- 14:56Okay. So then Israel proper uh is half
- 15:00of Egypt and then most of the Levant um
- 15:05including Palestine obviously even half
- 15:07of Iraq is is uh is greater Israel. Uh
- 15:12so I mean 10 years ago if we if we
- 15:15mentioned you know the greater Israel
- 15:17project and things like that the Yinon
- 15:18plan and things like that I mean these
- 15:20some of these documents are are public
- 15:22but if we mention these things in public
- 15:23they say oh you're you're a
- 15:25>> you're a conspiracy theorist and you
- 15:27know this is all this is just uh you
- 15:29know uh wearing a tinfoil hat but now
- 15:32you have uh Israeli establishment and
- 15:36and authority like Netanyahu talking
- 15:38about these things very openly. Mhm.
- 15:41>> So in the Yinon plan in 1982, O did
- 15:43Yinon who was part of the Israeli
- 15:45establishment administration, he says
- 15:47that a way in which we can gain greater
- 15:49Israel uh is to sew seeds of corruption
- 15:52amongst the surrounding Muslim nations
- 15:54that kind of destabilize the region uh
- 15:57and so that Israel with its superior
- 15:59military force can eventually sort of
- 16:02just take over the region. Um and so
- 16:04we've seen that happen. Of course, we've
- 16:06heard um Wesley Clark, who was a
- 16:09general, retired now, but he was a
- 16:12general in America, General Wesley
- 16:14Clark, uh during uh right during the
- 16:189/11 uh attack. And he said a few a few
- 16:21days after the attack, he actually saw a
- 16:24memo uh while he was in the Pentagon, a
- 16:27memo from a senior Pentagon official
- 16:29that said, "We need to take out, you
- 16:31know, seven countries in 5 years." Wow.
- 16:34>> Uh and the first country on that list uh
- 16:37was Iraq, right? Uh and then other
- 16:40countries as well, Syria, Somalia, uh
- 16:43Sudan, all of those countries, every
- 16:45single one of them except for the
- 16:46seventh country has gone through regime
- 16:48change. And of course, the seventh
- 16:50country on that list is Iran. So Iran's
- 16:53been on the plan for a long time. It
- 16:54took them longer than 5 years, but it
- 16:56seems like they're actually going to do
- 16:57this uh in 2026. Um but yeah, the
- 17:01Greater Israel Project, this is
- 17:03something that so they believe all of
- 17:04that land was promised to them that God
- 17:07promised Abraham, his his chosen seed.
- 17:10Um
- 17:12uh uh but the thing that they
- 17:14conveniently sort of leave out is that
- 17:16if you read the Bible, the Old
- 17:17Testament, it's mentioned many many
- 17:19times that God gave the land on
- 17:22condition. It's a conditional promise.
- 17:24>> It's not unconditional. is a two-way
- 17:26street that if they uh don't uphold the
- 17:29covenant of God and follow the Torah,
- 17:31then the land will thrust them out. And
- 17:34this is mentioned many many times and in
- 17:36fact you read places like in Jeremiah 11
- 17:38that the house of Judah, the house of
- 17:40Israel has uh has abandoned has broken
- 17:44my covenant. And so traditional
- 17:47traditional Orthodox Judaism uh okay
- 17:50what what are known as heredi uh Jews or
- 17:53we might just say traditional Orthodox
- 17:54Jews for hundreds and hundreds and
- 17:56hundreds of years almost 2,000 years
- 17:58believed that their exile uh was
- 18:01divinely decreed and they're not allowed
- 18:03to actually go back uh to the holy land
- 18:07and try to seize the land and set up a
- 18:09Jewish sovereignty.
- 18:10>> They're actually forbidden to do that.
- 18:12They have to wait until the coming of
- 18:13the Messiah. But of course the Zionists
- 18:16were able to kind of work their way
- 18:17around that understanding. Uh and that's
- 18:20what we have today.
- 18:22>> Early if we could perhaps frame this in
- 18:24some context
- 18:26greater Israel is that framed something
- 18:29that needs to be established before the
- 18:31coming of the Messiah or only after? And
- 18:34is it something that you know we've seen
- 18:36as you stated is kind of being
- 18:37orchestrated quite uh quickly to hasten
- 18:40the merge of the Messiah. Is this
- 18:41something that needs to be established
- 18:43before the arrival of the Messiah or
- 18:44after?
- 18:45>> That's the traditional understanding is
- 18:47that you have to wait for the Messiah. I
- 18:48mean, Jews can certainly live in that
- 18:50region, but they can't move their own
- 18:52mass and they can't attempt to set up
- 18:54any type of Jewish state or sovereignty.
- 18:56That's a traditional understanding for
- 18:58almost 2,000 years with uh Zionism. And
- 19:01this um you know, you can trace these
- 19:03things back to Ra Rabbi um Abraham Isaac
- 19:07Cook uh who was early 20th century. He
- 19:10was the he was the first Ashkanazi
- 19:13>> uh chief rabbi of of Palestine under
- 19:15British mandate. Uh so he had this idea
- 19:18that no we can actually take steps uh to
- 19:23prepare the way of the messiah. So this
- 19:26he he called it something like paving
- 19:28the way for the messiah or um taking
- 19:30steps for our redemption our messianic
- 19:32redemption. So in other words, we can
- 19:34actually start the work of the Messiah
- 19:36because they believe the when the
- 19:38Messiah will come, he will he will
- 19:39actually take control of that entire
- 19:41land. Um and uh and seize the land and
- 19:45set up his kingdom. Um but apparently he
- 19:48was taking too long. And so um with the
- 19:51onset of World War II and then you have
- 19:52the Holocaust, many European rabbis uh
- 19:55they just didn't want to wait anymore.
- 19:57And so a lot of them bought into Kuk's
- 19:59kind of revisionist [clears throat]
- 20:00ideas of we can actually go back on mass
- 20:03and set up a Jewish sovereignty for our
- 20:06protection and then we can sort of you
- 20:08know do get the ball rolling here and
- 20:11sort of force the hand of the Messiah
- 20:13because we're doing his job. He needs to
- 20:15show up at any time and eventually or
- 20:17soon he will show up and he'll complete
- 20:19the job.
- 20:21>> Uh and so yeah.
- 20:23>> No, no, continue. Continue. So that's
- 20:25yeah that's that's that would that's
- 20:27basically the idea is that it's it's
- 20:30basically a bida for them to um to re
- 20:34return to the land on mass and set up a
- 20:36Jewish Jewish sovereignty without the
- 20:38messiah. They have to wait for the
- 20:40Messiah. And there's different um
- 20:43there's there's different scripture
- 20:44verses that uh anti-ionists
- 20:47uh traditional Jews use um to
- 20:51demonstrate their point that that Jews
- 20:53must stay in exile uh and wait patiently
- 20:57for the Messiah. For example, I believe
- 20:58in Numbers chapter 14, some of the men
- 21:01around Moses, they said, "We're not
- 21:03going to wait any longer. We're going to
- 21:04go to the promised land." And Moses said
- 21:07to them, "If you do that, you're going
- 21:08to go against the word of the Lord." And
- 21:10this will never ever be successful. It's
- 21:13never ever a good idea to break the
- 21:16exile and um and uh go against uh God
- 21:22and Moses uh on mass into the promised
- 21:25land. It's not going to work out for
- 21:26you.
- 21:26>> Dr. Ali, I think last year we saw like
- 21:29the trend of the red hea go around the
- 21:31world. People were speaking about, oh,
- 21:33this sacrifice is going to take place.
- 21:35Was that another one of the actions that
- 21:37was being used to usher in the arrival
- 21:38of the Messiah to haste his arrival?
- 21:41>> It's actually more important than than
- 21:43[clears throat] we think. And I I
- 21:45actually mentioned the red heer
- 21:47uh in a hutbah
- 21:50in December of 2022.
- 21:52>> And uh I I got a lot of heat for it.
- 21:55People were calling me like, you know,
- 21:57you're crazy. This is all conspiracy
- 21:59stuff and nobody takes these things
- 22:00seriously.
- 22:02And I said, "Okay, but you know, it's um
- 22:04they have five of them." Yeah. So, they
- 22:07were actually um five red heers were
- 22:10they're probably genetically engineered,
- 22:11but they have to be perfect,
- 22:13>> right?
- 22:15>> Yeah. They they raised in Texas. Yeah.
- 22:17Of all places. Um I mean, that kind of
- 22:19makes sense. John Hegy is is based out
- 22:21of San Antonio, the biggest Christian
- 22:22Zionist in the world, and his
- 22:24organization Kufi, uh which is really
- 22:26Kufur, but anyway. [laughter]
- 22:29So, so they have to have in the namesake
- 22:32of
- 22:38right a bakar that is perfect, no
- 22:40blemishes, right? Uh so a perfectly red
- 22:44bak no white or black hairs between the
- 22:46age 2 to three between age 2 to three
- 22:48has to be sacrificed. Why does it have
- 22:50to be sacrificed? Well, according to the
- 22:52Torah,
- 22:54um in order for the temple to return,
- 22:57okay, the ashes of a perfect
- 23:01um u hepher bakar which is called a para
- 23:05aduma in Hebrew. The ashes have to be
- 23:08used to purify the vessels in the temple
- 23:13uh and the water for the purification
- 23:15ritual of the priests.
- 23:17>> Um so so that has that that's a
- 23:19necessary condition. It has to be there.
- 23:21Uh or else you can't have a temple and
- 23:23you can't have a priesthood. Uh my
- 23:26monity says that uh nine uh perfectly
- 23:30perfect blemishfree red heers were
- 23:32sacrificed in the history of of of
- 23:35Israel. Uh and um there hasn't been one
- 23:38in 2,000 years. Uh and the ashes of a
- 23:40single red heer can last for hundreds
- 23:42and hundreds of years. Just a single red
- 23:44heer. and his opinion is that the 10th
- 23:47red heer would be sacrificed by the king
- 23:49Messiah himself. Um but there's
- 23:52difference of opinion. Uh other rabbis
- 23:53say no it doesn't have to be the
- 23:55Messiah. It can be sort of um a group of
- 23:57righteous uh Jews um who can do that. Uh
- 24:02and so there were five perfectly uh
- 24:05perfect red heers just a couple of uh
- 24:08just a short time ago. Uh and then I
- 24:10think it dwindled down to two or three
- 24:13or something like that. And and then
- 24:15they actually they sacrificed one of
- 24:16them a few months ago, I believe. Um I
- 24:19mean I have to I kept checking with the
- 24:21Temple Institute in Jerusalem for
- 24:23updates, but they did sacrifice one of
- 24:25them a few months ago. Uh and but they
- 24:28said it was kind of a test run. It
- 24:29wasn't for real. I don't know if I
- 24:31really supposed to believe that.
- 24:33>> Yeah, you're not going to waste a
- 24:35perfectly good a perfect red heer,
- 24:38right? Um, and so they probably did that
- 24:40already, which means that they would
- 24:43take that basically as a sign of Tofi or
- 24:46providence or permission from God that
- 24:48they can move forward uh with the
- 24:51construction of of the third temple
- 24:54>> uh and to bring back the priesthood and
- 24:56things like that. Um, and so they
- 24:58already have the, you know, the the
- 25:00blueprints of the third temple. And they
- 25:02have actually they have a group of young
- 25:04men in their in their teens. Uh, they're
- 25:06from the Levites. They're considered to
- 25:08be kohanim or priests. They're really to
- 25:10kind of move all of this into place uh
- 25:12right now. So yeah, the the sacrifice of
- 25:14the red heer was a necessary condition
- 25:18uh to bring back the temple and the
- 25:19priesthood and all of that.
- 25:20>> And you're saying it's taken place
- 25:22already?
- 25:23>> It's already it's already happened.
- 25:24Yeah,
- 25:24>> it's already happened.
- 25:25>> Yeah, it's already happened. They
- 25:27sacrificed one. They said it was a test
- 25:28run, but I don't know if I really
- 25:31believe that it was a test run. That
- 25:33doesn't make sense to me. I don't find
- 25:34that very convincing.
- 25:36>> Dr. Ali, let's get very concrete here.
- 25:38In classical Jewish Messiahism, why is
- 25:43building the temple such a central
- 25:46milestone?
- 25:48It's a very good question. Um, so let me
- 25:51give you a little bit of of history
- 25:52here. I think it's important for us to
- 25:54understand the history of Messianism in
- 25:56in Jewish tradition. So when the
- 25:59Israelites were uh in Babylon in
- 26:02captivity, so here we're looking at the
- 26:046th century before the common era, this
- 26:06called the exilic period during this
- 26:09time. So they were taken. So the the
- 26:11southern kingdom of Judah was attacked
- 26:13in 586 B.C.E. by the Babylonians,
- 26:16Nebuchadnezzar.
- 26:18And so you have um the Israelites
- 26:20sitting in in Babylon in captivity.
- 26:23During this time, Jewish uh prophets,
- 26:26Israelite prophets and seers, they began
- 26:29predicting that um a Davidic ruler, a
- 26:34Davidic king would arise and that he
- 26:38would uh somehow rebuild or restore or
- 26:42uh purify, rededicate the temple.
- 26:46Because remember now Nebuchadnezzar and
- 26:48his forces they destroyed the first
- 26:49temple the temple of Solomon
- 26:51>> which was built around 930 before the
- 26:54common era that temple was destroyed by
- 26:56by Nebuchadnezzar in the 6th century
- 26:59BCE.
- 27:00>> Okay. So this this this Davidic king
- 27:03this Davidic ruler he's called Hamel
- 27:06Mashiach ben Davided which is to say the
- 27:09Davidic king Messiah the king Messiah
- 27:12son of David or just simply the Messiah.
- 27:15Okay. And so you have passages in the
- 27:17book of Ezekiel, for example, Ezekiel
- 27:1940-48, Jeremiah 23, Zechariah chapter 6,
- 27:24which seem to describe this Davidic
- 27:26Messiah who's going to come uh in the
- 27:28future and restore or uh purify,
- 27:32rededicate or rebuild the temple. Now,
- 27:35the second temple was built by a man
- 27:38named Zerubabel. Okay, Zerubabel around
- 27:41520 BCE. And this was after a decree
- 27:45from Cyrus. Uh Cyrus um I think is
- 27:50probably Dorneain
- 27:52um the Persian king Cyrus who was a
- 27:54monotheist
- 27:55uh and who defeated the Babylonians and
- 27:58and allowed the Israelites to go back to
- 28:01Palestine to re rebuild their city. But
- 28:04the thing is Zerubabel um I mean he led
- 28:07the construction. This is according to 1
- 28:08Chronicles chapter 3 and he was a
- 28:10descendant of David. So he's a Davidic
- 28:13uh builder of the temple. Um he was born
- 28:16in in Babylon.
- 28:18Uh his name actually means born in
- 28:20Babylon. He was a grandson of a Jewish
- 28:22king named Jeaniah. And Jeconiah was the
- 28:26penultimate king of Judah just before
- 28:28Zedekiah who was the the last Davidic
- 28:31king. But the thing about Zerubbabel was
- 28:33that he he was never a king or a ruler.
- 28:36>> He was a he was a Persian appointed
- 28:39governor. Uh so I mean the land
- 28:42continued to be ruled by Persia. Uh
- 28:44Cyrus was really the king of Palestine
- 28:47at the time and he's also called the
- 28:49Messiah in in Isaiah 45:1. The Lord said
- 28:52to his Messiah, his Messiah Cyrus. So so
- 28:56the Jews did not see Zerubable as being
- 28:58the fulfillment of this great Davidic
- 29:01king Messiah. He didn't exactly fit the
- 29:03description. Uh and so if we fast
- 29:05forward a little bit um uh eventually uh
- 29:09Palestine fell out of Persian hands. The
- 29:12the Greeks uh conquered uh the region by
- 29:16under Alexander in 332 before the common
- 29:19era. And so um and then after that uh
- 29:23there was a um there was a revolt by a
- 29:25group of Jews called the Hasmonians, the
- 29:27Makabian revolt in 164 B.CE. And so
- 29:31during this time the Israelites actually
- 29:32had control of Palestine. Uh but they
- 29:35did not re uh they did not um they did
- 29:40not bring back the Davidic king. And the
- 29:42reason is because the Hasmonians were
- 29:44not Davidic. They were Levites. They
- 29:45were descendants of Aaron. Uh and then
- 29:48eventually the Hasmonians they the
- 29:50Makabians in other words they they had
- 29:52internal fitna and things like that. And
- 29:54so they called in a Roman general Pompy
- 29:57to be an arbitrator, which was a bad
- 29:58idea because when when the general Pompy
- 30:01came into Palestine, he decided he's
- 30:03going to basically uh rule the land
- 30:05himself. And so in 63 B.CE, uh Palestine
- 30:09became uh a a Roman occupied land. So
- 30:13now we're in the first century. The
- 30:16Pharisees who are the religious
- 30:17establishment at the time of Isaam
- 30:20um and the rest of the Jews were still
- 30:22expecting this Davidic king Messiah.
- 30:25Okay. Uh and they expected this Messiah
- 30:29uh to restore to purify to cleanse to
- 30:33rededicate the temple in some way. The
- 30:36second temple that that was still
- 30:38standing. This is similar to an Old
- 30:41Testament king mentioned by Isaiah named
- 30:43Hezekiah. Hezekiah
- 30:46who was a Davidic king Messiah during
- 30:48the Assyrian period. Uh he didn't
- 30:51rebuild the temple from nothing. He
- 30:53rededicated the temple. He cleansed the
- 30:55temple. Uh he purified uh the temple. In
- 30:58fact, there are some Telmudic rabbis who
- 31:01consider Zedekiah to be the Messiah.
- 31:04like Rabbi Hel he's quoted in the Talmud
- 31:07as as taking that position and so Isaam
- 31:12he cleanses the temple in all four
- 31:14gospels you know so he fulfills this he
- 31:17he is the Davidic king Messiah and it's
- 31:20really interesting because if if you
- 31:22read the four gospels in the New
- 31:23Testament and you read the letters of
- 31:24Paul there's one thing that Jesus does
- 31:27that's sort of just out of character you
- 31:30know the the Pauline uh christologology
- 31:33um
- 31:34>> the uh the description of Jesus in the
- 31:37four gospels in which is highly
- 31:40influenced by Paul, you know, Jesus is
- 31:42kind of meek and he goes willingly to
- 31:45his death and he says, "Turn the other
- 31:46cheek. Resist not evil." Um you know um
- 31:51uh this this type of ethic um you know a
- 31:55gentle a a gentle lamb led to the
- 31:57slaughter. He opened not his mouth.
- 31:59Things like that. But suddenly you have
- 32:01this event where he comes into Jerusalem
- 32:02and he makes a whip and he starts
- 32:04whipping people and throwing them out of
- 32:06the temple precincts and turning over
- 32:08their tables and and saying you know
- 32:10this is this is a house
- 32:12>> this yeah this is a house of of worship.
- 32:14You've turned it into a den of thieves.
- 32:16So this passes what's known as the
- 32:18historical criterion of embarrassment.
- 32:20This is so out of character for the
- 32:22Pauline Jesus to do that most historians
- 32:25believe that this is actually what he
- 32:26did that this is historical and it's
- 32:28mentioned in all four gospels and it's
- 32:30actually mentioned twice in the gospel
- 32:31of John. So in my mind is Alisam
- 32:35probably did do something like that and
- 32:37this is a clear claim to be this
- 32:39Messiah. However, the religious
- 32:42establishment at that time in Palestine,
- 32:45they sought to kill Isaam probably
- 32:47because he was stressing spiritual
- 32:51liberation over political liberation and
- 32:55and he criticized the Pharisees. That
- 32:57doesn't mean that he wouldn't liberate
- 32:58them politically, but he was taking care
- 33:01of uh his own people beforehand. So you
- 33:05have this famous passage in Matthew 23,
- 33:07the seven woes, where he says, "Woe unto
- 33:09you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites,
- 33:12brood of vipers. You've overlooked the
- 33:14weightier demands of the law, justice,
- 33:17mercy, good faith. You're hypocrites.
- 33:20You know, you're like whited supplers.
- 33:21On the outside you are clean, but on the
- 33:23inside uh you weak of death, hypocrites,
- 33:26brood, vipers." So he's attacking the
- 33:28religious establishment of his day. And
- 33:31so the Pharisees, I think they just kind
- 33:33of lost patience with that with with
- 33:34him. And so they probably attempted to
- 33:37force his hand like they're doing now.
- 33:39The Zionists are trying to force the
- 33:41hand of the Messiah by going back on
- 33:43mass to to to historical Palestine to
- 33:46historical Israel uh and and starting
- 33:48the work of the Messiah. So I think what
- 33:50the what the Pharisees did with Isaam is
- 33:53that they put him in trouble with the
- 33:55Romans
- 33:56>> uh because they knew that the Romans
- 33:57would have zero I mean the Romans
- 33:59generally were very tolerant of
- 34:01different religions. But you know they
- 34:03had zero tolerance for any type of
- 34:05political sedition or insurrection or
- 34:08anything like that. And they would
- 34:09crucify so many Jews, so many zealots
- 34:11that Josephus said they actually ran out
- 34:13of lumber. They ran out of trees uh in
- 34:16Palestine. Uh so so they put him in a
- 34:19conflict I think with the Romans
- 34:20expecting Isaam to say okay you forced
- 34:23me now and and he would fight fight the
- 34:25Romans. Uh in fact some some scholars
- 34:29believe that that Judas right the man
- 34:31who betrayed uh Jesus uh that was his
- 34:33intention to kind of force Jesus to act
- 34:36as a political messiah but that was that
- 34:39didn't happen was saved by Allah
- 34:41subhanahu wa ta'ala Allah subhanana
- 34:43waala Allah subhana wa tala took him up
- 34:45to the sah and and delayed Jesus's
- 34:49kingly role uh until after the coming of
- 34:52the universal messenger the prophet
- 34:54Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam and
- 34:56as a punishment really God uh destroyed
- 34:58the temple. He allowed the temple to be
- 35:00destroyed. Um which is essentially a
- 35:02sign that God was angry with the Bunni
- 35:04Israel and he scattered them uh among
- 35:07the nations and now they have to wait uh
- 35:10for the Messiah. Uh so when the second
- 35:12temple was destroyed in 70 CE, it's then
- 35:16when we get all of this explicit third
- 35:18temple language. Okay, all this third
- 35:22temple talk is all post70 of the common
- 35:25era because the Israelites at the time
- 35:27were saying, "Oh, you know, God must
- 35:29have been talking about a third temple
- 35:31uh in those prophecies and you know,
- 35:33Jeremiah and Ezekiel and so on and so
- 35:35forth. This is all post 70 CE, the idea
- 35:38of a third temple. Uh and so until this
- 35:42day uh the majority of Jews, I mean uh
- 35:45the Jews basically as a as a as a group
- 35:48continue to wait for this king who will
- 35:50build a third temple. In reality, the
- 35:54prophets during the exilic period uh
- 35:56were predicting a second temple, not a
- 35:58third temple, which came true. The
- 36:00second temple was built and they also
- 36:02predicted a Davidic ruler, right? A a
- 36:05messiah, a messiah would be born in
- 36:07Bethlehem. um Micah 5:2 Issa Alisam was
- 36:11born in Bethlehem in the New Testament.
- 36:12There's also a hadith in our tradition
- 36:14that he was born in Bethlam. Uh and this
- 36:17Messiah would cleanse or purify the
- 36:19temple uh and then rule from Jerusalem.
- 36:22So this this Messiah was Isaam
- 36:25>> whom they rejected and slandered and so
- 36:27God removed him, destroyed the second
- 36:29temple and postponed his messianic role
- 36:32as political ruler until much later. Um,
- 36:35so his first coming is really as a
- 36:37prophet Messiah. There's different type
- 36:38I know it's kind of technical and I'll
- 36:40and I'll and I'll end my spiel in a
- 36:42minute, I promise you. Uh, but there's
- 36:44different types of mashim or messiahs
- 36:46that are in the Old Testament in the
- 36:47Tanakh, the Hebrew Bible. Yes, there are
- 36:49king messiahs. There are also prophet
- 36:51messiahs. And so his first coming was as
- 36:54a prophet Messiah. Okay? And a prophet
- 36:57Messiah essentially is the is the true
- 36:59interpreter of the Torah. And that's
- 37:01what Isaam did in his first coming. He
- 37:04gave them the true interpretation uh of
- 37:06the Torah. Uh and he gave them the injil
- 37:09which is a type of tesia
- 37:12um uh spiritual training for the bani is
- 37:15and he also gave them good glad tidings
- 37:17of the coming of the final prophet the
- 37:19prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
- 37:20wasallam. Uh so there's a reason for
- 37:22Jews today to believe in him because he
- 37:24was a true messenger and he was a
- 37:26prophet Messiah. Uh and then he'll he'll
- 37:28return towards the end of time.
- 37:30>> Wow. I I think like based off of your
- 37:33understanding, the Messiah, the awaited
- 37:35Messiah was Isaam, but he's obviously
- 37:37being rejected. So who exactly are the
- 37:40Jews currently waiting for? And is that
- 37:42the in Islamic doctrine?
- 37:45Yeah, it seems likely that's that's
- 37:47what's happening here. Um so the Djal
- 37:50there's indications in our tradition
- 37:52that in the Islamic tradition that the
- 37:54the Jal, you know, will come from the
- 37:56east. So he's not Arab. All right. Um he
- 38:00and there's indications that he's from
- 38:01Bani is because there was a a young
- 38:03Jewish boy in Medina named Sad that many
- 38:06of the Sahaba believed it was the Djal
- 38:09um uh and so they wouldn't believe that
- 38:11um uh if they didn't have a reason to.
- 38:14So they're indications that he himself
- 38:16is from a Jewish background. Certainly
- 38:18his army, the 70,000 coming from Isvahan
- 38:22uh they're from Israel as well. So yeah,
- 38:25so the the Jewish world will not accept
- 38:29any Messiah unless he's Jewish, right?
- 38:33So that's that's a that's a a synanon.
- 38:35That's like a a really um important
- 38:39necessary condition of the Messiah in
- 38:41Jewish tradition for him to be uh for
- 38:44him to be from Bani is. Um, and so
- 38:48another interesting aspect of of Jewish
- 38:50messianism that a lot of people don't
- 38:52know is that that Jews are actually in
- 38:54the Orthodox tradition are actually
- 38:56waiting for two messiahs. There are two
- 38:58endtime messiahs. Okay? So there's the
- 39:02Messiah Ben Ysef, the the Messiah, the
- 39:04son of Joseph. So this is an end time
- 39:07messiah who is a descendant of Ysef
- 39:11Alisam from his son Ephraim. So his
- 39:13father is from Ephraim, the tribe of
- 39:15Ephraim, which is Joseph essentially.
- 39:17And he will come to the earth first and
- 39:20he will actually be defeated by his
- 39:22enemies. And so this is stated in the
- 39:25Talmud. This is stated in the Midrashim.
- 39:27This is part of Orthodox traditional
- 39:29Judaism. And there's some indications of
- 39:31him like in Zechariah 12 that Orthodox
- 39:34authorities claim or descriptions of
- 39:36him. So, so the the the Josephite
- 39:39Messiah, he will fight Gog and Magog uh
- 39:43and they will kill him. He'll die. He'll
- 39:46he'll be martyed by Gog and Magog. Um
- 39:49what's really interesting
- 39:52uh I just um perhaps I can I can read
- 39:55this. There's a short passage in a book
- 39:57that I recommend called Zionism, a brief
- 40:00history by Michael Brener. It's it's a
- 40:02short paragraph. I'll just read it real
- 40:04fast. is published in n uh 2003. So he
- 40:07says that in semand at Serbia Yehuda al-
- 40:11Kalai a rabbi born in Sievo wrote a
- 40:14series of uh treatises for the Jews to
- 40:17return to Palestine. At the same time in
- 40:19West Prussia, Thorne, Rabbi Si Kalisher
- 40:23was citing biblical and rebbitical texts
- 40:25in his uh Dishhat Zion seeking Zion 1862
- 40:29to demonstrate that the salvation of the
- 40:31Jews would result from human efforts and
- 40:34would not depend simply on divine
- 40:36providence in the messianic age. So this
- 40:38is this idea again um Rabbi Cook would
- 40:41pick up on these ideas in the early 20th
- 40:43century uh that we can get the ball
- 40:45rolling for the Messiah. we can um we
- 40:49can start moving back to Palestine and
- 40:51doing the work of the Messiah,
- 40:53cleansing, you know, the land and things
- 40:54like that and then he'll come. So he
- 40:56continues and would not depend simply on
- 40:58divine prophet. I read I read that part.
- 41:00Khalisher contended that the
- 41:01colonization of Palestine could begin at
- 41:03once. That's the bid right there. It is
- 41:05noteworthy that both rabbis, one
- 41:07Sphartic Alkali was a Spanish Portuguese
- 41:09descendant, and the other Ashkanazi
- 41:11Kalisher's origins were in Pausnan,
- 41:14which is Polish, who who thought and
- 41:16argued so traditionally were profoundly
- 41:18affected by current political
- 41:20developments. Al Kalai regarded the
- 41:22traditional Jewish idea of the first
- 41:24temporary Messiah from the house of
- 41:27Joseph not as an individual,
- 41:30>> but as a kind of Jewish national
- 41:33collective. end quote. Okay, so there's
- 41:36a strong opinion now that the Joseph the
- 41:39Josephite Messiah is actually the
- 41:42current state of Israel. [clears throat]
- 41:44>> Uh and Rabbi to Tovia Singer takes this
- 41:47position and that what happened on
- 41:49October 7th is actually the death that's
- 41:52considered the death of the Josephite
- 41:54Messiah. So now the door is open for the
- 41:58more important Messiah, the Davidic
- 42:00Messiah, uh to arrive on the scene. And
- 42:04in Jewish esquetology, the Davidic
- 42:06Messiah is not defeated by his enemies.
- 42:08There's a few things that he'll do. One
- 42:10of the things that he'll do is that he
- 42:13will rebuild the the temple, the third
- 42:16temple. As I said, I don't think there's
- 42:18any indication in the Hebrew Bible of
- 42:20the third temple. Everything in Ezekiel,
- 42:22Jeremiah, etc. is describing the second
- 42:24temple. Why would they skip the second
- 42:26temple and go straight to the third
- 42:28temple? So I think that's a little bit
- 42:30of um uh you know kind of interpretive
- 42:34>> yeah distortion um and kind of ad hoc
- 42:37exesus
- 42:38>> uh to kind of contend with you know the
- 42:40destruction of the second temple which
- 42:41they did not see coming. Uh so oh it
- 42:44must have been talking about a third
- 42:45temple. Uh the Messiah will also
- 42:48basically fight something called the
- 42:49milat adonai which is basically like
- 42:52big-time wars uh malahim right uh he'll
- 42:56purify uh the um the greater Israel uh
- 43:00Israel proper uh he'll institute
- 43:04uh the Torah as the the law of the
- 43:07entire uh planet and he'll basically
- 43:09basically be the king of the whole
- 43:11world. Uh okay. And then he'll usher in
- 43:14a um a an era of peace. Um so from our
- 43:21perspective, the Djal
- 43:24right initially, you know, he's going to
- 43:25he's going to claim to be a prophet and
- 43:27he's going to claim to be the Messiah.
- 43:30And I think a lot of what he'll do will
- 43:32be very convincing for many Jews around
- 43:35the world. uh but when he claims to be
- 43:39Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala I think he'll
- 43:41lose a lot of support and in fact it
- 43:44seems likely that many Jews will
- 43:46actually defect from his ranks and
- 43:49believe in Isaam as the true Messiah and
- 43:52I think a lot of Christians as well so
- 43:53he'll Isaam will rectify the
- 43:57and the Quran says
- 44:06uh um I don't know if I quoted that
- 44:08right
- 44:13that there that there will be none of
- 44:14the people the book uh left except that
- 44:17they believe in Isaam right so the
- 44:20commentators of this ayah they say the
- 44:21meaning is that yeah initially there's
- 44:23going to be some tension and resistance
- 44:26to Isaam uh but he'll show convincing
- 44:29proofs that he's the Messiah and
- 44:31Especially when the Antichrist claims to
- 44:33be God. I mean, that's that's just a
- 44:35that's a a non-negotiable for at least
- 44:38>> Could it be too late by then after
- 44:40you've given him so much support and
- 44:42you've believed in every one of his
- 44:43miracles and everything? It could very
- 44:45well be too late for them to
- 44:47>> be. Yeah. I mean, they could be um
- 44:49convinced that he is because he's going
- 44:51to do certain things. Whether he has
- 44:52supernatural abilities like real
- 44:54supernatural abilities given to him as a
- 44:56fitna by Allah subhana wa ta'ala or it's
- 44:58kind of smoke and mirrors, right? It's
- 45:00just kind of or or it's a sorry it's a
- 45:02type of like you know kind of slight of
- 45:04hand maybe just technology. It seems
- 45:06like he has access to some incredible
- 45:08technology that's going to fool a lot of
- 45:11people. Um but but the majority of
- 45:15Zionists by the way um who identify as
- 45:17Jewish are not religious. So I don't I
- 45:19don't think they're going to care if he
- 45:20claims to be God at all.
- 45:22>> You know the the the de Jal, he has
- 45:24control over resources. you know, he has
- 45:27control over the skies and the crops and
- 45:30uh the seas and things like that. Uh so
- 45:33I [snorts] think for the majority of
- 45:34them, they just won't care what kind of
- 45:36supernatural claims he's making.
- 45:38>> Dr. Ali, you've made um in some of your
- 45:40previous talks, you mentioned something
- 45:42regarding the Jewish year 6,000 and the
- 45:45arrival of the Messiah. Could you
- 45:47perhaps walk us through that?
- 45:49Yeah. So this is an interest this is
- 45:51found all over the the the traditional
- 45:54uh understanding of of the Messiah. Um
- 45:58is very prevalent uh teaching is that
- 46:01you know this um that this creation uh
- 46:05is you know 5787
- 46:09something years old. Um uh and so uh the
- 46:14year 6000 represents what's known as the
- 46:16coming of the day of the Lord or the
- 46:18Sabbath of the Lord. So many many
- 46:22traditional authorities consider that to
- 46:23be sort of the cut off day of the
- 46:25Messiah, like the deadline of the
- 46:27Messiah. He has to come before the year
- 46:296000. I think there's something like 215
- 46:32years until we get to the year 6,000.
- 46:34But he has to come well before that
- 46:36because he has to do everything.
- 46:38uh you know he has to fulfill all of the
- 46:40conditions. Um and so yeah, this is a
- 46:43very very prevalent tradition, the year
- 46:456000,
- 46:46what's known as the uh the Sabbath, the
- 46:49Sabbath of the Lord. And so there's
- 46:51there's a uh there's a famous
- 46:52interaction uh I actually found this on
- 46:54YouTube recently. I think people can
- 46:56find it. There's a famous interaction
- 46:58between uh a famous rabbi named um Rabbi
- 47:02Minah Mendel Schmeersen uh who is
- 47:05actually believed by many um Kabad
- 47:08Lavure Hassidic Jews to be the Messiah.
- 47:12Um, and if that's kind of a side note,
- 47:14but when Netanyahu was the UN
- 47:17ambassador,
- 47:19um, uh, in 1994,
- 47:22I believe, something like that, he
- 47:24actually met with this rabbi and the
- 47:27rabbi, they're speaking in Hebrew, and
- 47:29the rabbi says to him, you know, you
- 47:31know, there's only a few hours left in
- 47:33the day. So, you know, what does that
- 47:35mean? Few hours. Yeah, the few hours
- 47:38left in the day. That means on this on
- 47:40this day, you know, uh on this the sixth
- 47:43day, you know, it's it's like it's like
- 47:46offser time, right? So the day starts at
- 47:48Mb. So when Mb hits hits, that's the
- 47:50seventh day, right? And that's
- 47:52considered the sort of olam hab, the
- 47:54world to come and the end of the world
- 47:55as we know it. So he said to Netanyahu,
- 47:58"What are you doing to prepare the
- 47:59world? What are you doing to bring about
- 48:00the Messiah?" Because there's only a few
- 48:02hours left, right? Which is very
- 48:05interesting. um you know uh and so you
- 48:10know that's that's that that's their
- 48:11belief that the Messiah will come before
- 48:13the before the seventh day before the
- 48:15year 6000.
- 48:16>> Dr. Ali, you also mentioned just uh
- 48:18before that about the dja being followed
- 48:20by 70,000 of uh of the Jewish population
- 48:24of uh in Isra.
- 48:26>> Uh some narrations say that they'll be
- 48:29wearing dressed in robes of green or
- 48:31colored satin Persian uh shaws. What's
- 48:34the significance of this hadith of uh
- 48:36the number 70,000? Because today
- 48:38approximately in the country right now
- 48:41there's around 9,000 to 10,000 Jews in
- 48:44Iran. There isn't a significant amount
- 48:46of Jewish adherence there. So what's the
- 48:49significance of this hadith in the scale
- 48:52of what we're seeing today for example?
- 48:54>> Yeah. Theith is
- 49:02Yeah. And then another version. Yeah,
- 49:04wearing Persian shaws. Yeah, I always
- 49:06thought about this hadith. You know, I
- 49:08for years I've been thinking about this
- 49:09hadith and I'm like 70,000 from Isvahan.
- 49:12It just doesn't seem likely. Um, you
- 49:15know, how is that even going to be
- 49:16possible?
- 49:17>> But we see like with what's happening
- 49:19right now uh with the current conflict
- 49:21if there's regime change in Iran. I
- 49:24mean, this guy who's waiting in the
- 49:25wings, this Bahni character,
- 49:28you know, he's he's gone he's he's been
- 49:30public about, you know, if you know, if
- 49:32I should go back to Iran, and I don't
- 49:33know how he put it, paraphrasing, if I'm
- 49:36placed back into power, the first thing
- 49:38that Iran will do,
- 49:40>> recognize Israel,
- 49:41>> recognize uh Israel. And so, Zionism has
- 49:45um uh been steadily growing, I think, in
- 49:48Iran, even under the the current regime.
- 49:51Um
- 49:53uh and so uh I mean you have groups of
- 49:57Iranians that go and they they cluster
- 50:00around the grave of of Cyrus. They
- 50:03consider Cyrus to be like this kind of
- 50:05archetypal Zionist cuz he allowed the uh
- 50:08the the Jews, Israelites to go back to
- 50:11to Palestine. um which I think is uh a a
- 50:16a big mischaracterization of Cyrus
- 50:19because he didn't give them autonomy in
- 50:20Palestine. Uh Palestine was still under
- 50:22Persian rule. Uh Palestine was still a a
- 50:26Persian uh satre at the time. Uh and he
- 50:30did not allow them to rule Palestine. Um
- 50:33but anyway, and he might have even the
- 50:34Persians might have even commissioned
- 50:36the the um the compilation of the Torah
- 50:40as we know it. uh the five books of
- 50:43Moses, it was probably done by a
- 50:45committee that was patronized by by
- 50:47Persia, but that's a different story. Uh
- 50:50but if we if we imagine what's going to
- 50:52happen in the future, uh Iran kind of
- 50:55changing its political landscape and
- 50:57becoming very uh congenial towards the
- 51:00Zionist project, we can see how
- 51:02thousands upon thousands uh of of
- 51:05Iranians will embrace uh Zionism,
- 51:09>> right?
- 51:10uh and then you know obviously at some
- 51:12point follow this this impostor messiah.
- 51:16>> I wanted to ask you I know it's a bit of
- 51:18a subnote and I know it's kind of an
- 51:20oxymoron but Christian Zionism. We've
- 51:24seen recently uh there have been reports
- 51:27that emerged of US military commanders
- 51:29have actually told the troops that a
- 51:31potential war with Iran is actually
- 51:33anointed by Jesus and is kind of part of
- 51:36this larger Armageddon prophecy.
- 51:39um what why would that be? I know
- 51:41there's a commander there who's has his
- 51:43own kind of like breeding club about
- 51:45these kind of texts but um if you could
- 51:48just walk us through that like this use
- 51:51of you know that this is an appointed
- 51:53war by Jesus himself what we're seeing.
- 51:56>> Yeah. So, this all goes back to a
- 51:58scripture verse, Genesis 12:3, right?
- 52:00So, there's a senator in Texas named Ted
- 52:03Cruz, uh, who did an interview recently
- 52:06with Tucker Carlson, um, well, a few
- 52:08months ago, I think maybe a year ago,
- 52:10something like that, where he he quoted
- 52:12this verse as, um, basically being his
- 52:15justification for being a Christian
- 52:16Zionist. Um, and he didn't even know
- 52:18where the where the verse was in the
- 52:20Bible.
- 52:21>> He couldn't quote it. Yeah. So, Genesis
- 52:2312:3. Um and so he said it it says
- 52:26something like if you bless Israel, God
- 52:28will bless you. If you curse Israel, God
- 52:30will curse you. Uh so it's a misquote.
- 52:33First of all, the text does not say
- 52:35Israel in in Hebrew. Uh God is speaking
- 52:38to Abraham Ibrahimam who's called Abram
- 52:40at the time. So if you bless Abram, God
- 52:43will bless you. And if you curse Abram
- 52:45or Abraham Ibrahim, then God will God
- 52:47will curse you. So that's the first
- 52:49thing. The second thing, so he misqued
- 52:51it. Second thing is that uh he's
- 52:53partially correct in the sense that you
- 52:55know it's implied in the text that God
- 52:57is talking about the descendants of
- 52:58Abraham some descendants of of Abraham
- 53:01or followers of Abraham in some sense um
- 53:04uh and and so um so biblical
- 53:07commentators would say yeah he's talking
- 53:09about Israel as a people not as some
- 53:12nation and certainly not as you know
- 53:15this ethnostate that was founded by
- 53:19uh Ashkanazi atheists
- 53:21that are currently committing a
- 53:22genocide. I don't think that's what uh
- 53:25what God had in mind when he spoke those
- 53:27words to Abraham. Um uh so he's talking
- 53:30about Israel as a people, you know,
- 53:32descendants of Jacob. Um
- 53:36uh but even if it were true, I always
- 53:38make this point, even if it were true,
- 53:39let's say, yeah, that's what that's what
- 53:41God is saying. He's saying bless the
- 53:44current state of Israel founded by uh
- 53:48you know, founded in 1948.
- 53:50um etc etc. Let's say that's what God is
- 53:52talking about. That verse Genesis 12:3
- 53:56uh is countenanced by New Testament
- 53:58writers, especially Paul in the book of
- 54:00Galatians.
- 54:02>> Uh and Paul is supposed to be a I mean
- 54:05he is the basically the the principal
- 54:08writer of the New Testament. Now we not
- 54:10we may not agree with a lot of what Paul
- 54:12says as Muslims and that's fine. But
- 54:14Christians who profess Christianity and
- 54:18profess to believe in the New Testament,
- 54:19they have to make a good faith effort
- 54:21>> to understand what the New Testament is
- 54:24actually teaching. Uh and stop making
- 54:26basically making tak of their leaders
- 54:29>> that are probably being paid by God
- 54:32knows who uh to support the modern state
- 54:35of Israel. Uh but Paul says in Galatians
- 54:38that what God what God meant when he
- 54:41spoke those words to Abraham was that he
- 54:44was talking about Jesus and he was
- 54:46talking about those who believe in Jesus
- 54:48as the Messiah. Right? Those are the
- 54:51ones that that we should be blessing.
- 54:53And so in the New Testament it's very
- 54:55very clear the chosen people are
- 54:58Christians who believe in Christ. Now
- 55:00that might include some ethnic Jews. I
- 55:02mean, many Christians are ethnic Jews,
- 55:05but disbelieving in Jesus and still
- 55:07considering yourself chosen by God, this
- 55:10is absolutely antithetical to the New
- 55:12Testament, antithetical to all or the
- 55:15early church fathers. Nobody took this
- 55:17position. This is this is a later uh
- 55:20this is a later development. Again, a
- 55:21bida, this is a theological anathema.
- 55:25This is just um it's it's it's a total
- 55:28misreading of the New Testament. Jesus
- 55:31is the third temple in the New
- 55:33Testament. It's very very clear. Jesus
- 55:35is the new temple. Um now I know I might
- 55:38not necessarily believe that. Uh but
- 55:40that's the teaching of the New
- 55:41Testament. Uh Jesus is the ultimate uh
- 55:44sacrifice for sin. I definitely don't
- 55:47believe that. But that's the teaching of
- 55:48the New Read Hebrews, read Paul uh and
- 55:51he's the ultimate high priest. Ultimate
- 55:53means the last the last high priest, the
- 55:55last sacrifice and the ultimate temple.
- 55:57So, Christian Zionists who support
- 56:00Israel, the modern state of Israel, who
- 56:02want to bring back the temple and bring
- 56:04back the whole sacrificial system and
- 56:06bring back the the priesthood, they're
- 56:07actually throwing Jesus away, their
- 56:10Jesus, the New Testament Jesus.
- 56:12>> And it's it's completely antithetical to
- 56:14to to the to traditional Christianity.
- 56:17And it's just it's mindboggling how that
- 56:20happened. But um I mean it's a long
- 56:22story but John Nelson Darby we'd have to
- 56:24look at you know what happened with the
- 56:26PL the Plymouth Brethren in in UK John
- 56:29Nelson Darby he was probably the first
- 56:31one to come up with this idea that
- 56:33there's two there's two covenants it's
- 56:35called dual covenant theology um that
- 56:38two simultaneous covenants. So the
- 56:40Mosaic covenant was never superseded
- 56:43uh by the Christian covenant. That's his
- 56:46idea. And so the Jews are still chosen
- 56:48by God irrespective of their of their
- 56:51rejection uh of Isaam.
- 56:54Um so that that comes from him and this
- 56:58was adopted
- 56:59by many many Christians and of course
- 57:01the Scoffield study Bible there's a lot
- 57:03a long long history about how that Bible
- 57:06um which is not really a translation. I
- 57:08mean Scullfield, he took the King James
- 57:11version translation and just added a few
- 57:12notes. But those notes turned out to be
- 57:15very very influential
- 57:17>> and gave rise to this whole idea that
- 57:19the Mosaic covenant is still open. it
- 57:21was never superseded uh by what Jesus
- 57:24did by the New Testament and that the
- 57:26Jews are still the chosen people and
- 57:28that Christians uh they have to support
- 57:31um uh the modern state of Israel founded
- 57:34by uh founded by Jews um irrespective of
- 57:38their disbelief in Jesus irrespective of
- 57:40their disbelief in God.
- 57:43>> I call it the con job of the millennium.
- 57:45It's it's really it's a total it's a
- 57:48total grift. M I know this is a big
- 57:50question Dr. Ali so please answer within
- 57:53whatever capacity you have. The Israel
- 57:55that's mentioned as you were saying in
- 57:56in the Bible and and in the Jewish
- 57:58scriptures is that necessarily the same
- 58:01Israel that exists today. I know you
- 58:04talked about it roughly but
- 58:06>> it's definitely not the same. Um
- 58:09>> I mean
- 58:12people forget that
- 58:14that again the the land was given on a
- 58:16condition. This is this is very apparent
- 58:19when we read the Hebrew Bible. For
- 58:21example, if we look at Exodus chapter 9,
- 58:24chapter 19 verse 5, right? Uh this is
- 58:29just just before what's known as the
- 58:31covenant code was revealed to the
- 58:33Israelites, right? And it says, "If you
- 58:36obey my voice and keep my covenant, then
- 58:39you'll be a treasure to me above all
- 58:41people." So on and so forth. Um so
- 58:44that's called a conditional statement.
- 58:46And many many times we find in the
- 58:48Hebrew Bible uh that God warns them that
- 58:52if you go against my covenant then this
- 58:54land will thrust you out. Okay. Uh and
- 58:58so um Israel as a nation uh must be
- 59:03founded uh upon upholding the covenant
- 59:06of God.
- 59:07>> Okay. The current state of Israel was
- 59:09not founded uh by such elements. It was
- 59:12founded by uh Ashkanazi which are
- 59:15probably not Semites atheists. Um and uh
- 59:20it was you know founded on blood and
- 59:23genocide and all of these
- 59:24>> occupation
- 59:25>> all of these horrible events planned
- 59:26dallet that are mentioned in books like
- 59:28the ethnic cleansing of of Palestine. Uh
- 59:31and so they call themselves Israel.
- 59:34>> Uh but that's just sort of hijacking the
- 59:37name. From our perspective, uh, Israel
- 59:39is the name of Israel is the name of
- 59:42Yakisam.
- 59:44And it doesn't mean wrestles with God.
- 59:45That's what that's what Genesis chapter
- 59:4832 mentions. They make up this fake
- 59:50eeology, the story of Jacob wrestling.
- 59:53It says wrestling the Lord. He wrestles
- 59:56the Lord. He wrestles God and he's able
- 59:58to beat God uh in a wrestling match,
- 1:00:00which is very strange. Um, really
- 1:00:03strange incident in Genesis chapter 32.
- 1:00:06Uh, and then the angel, um, some say
- 1:00:09it's an angel, uh, but it says, you
- 1:00:12know, you've wrestled, you've struggled
- 1:00:13with man and God, and therefore you're
- 1:00:15no longer known as Jacob, but known as
- 1:00:17Israel. Most historians believe Israel
- 1:00:20or Israel means God prevails. It doesn't
- 1:00:23mean wrestles with God. U so this this
- 1:00:26story appears to be a fake ideology.
- 1:00:28It's because the Israelites at the time
- 1:00:29were trying to grapple with why God is
- 1:00:32punishing them quite often. you know,
- 1:00:34why is God fighting or grappling with us
- 1:00:36so much? And it's because they they slip
- 1:00:39into idolatry, you know, they they uh
- 1:00:42they violate the covenant that God made
- 1:00:44with them. Um, so Israel today has has
- 1:00:48no bearing on biblical Israel uh
- 1:00:51whatsoever. Um, you know, you're just
- 1:00:54kind of hijacking the name. Uh, and it's
- 1:00:57very very clear from the Old Testament
- 1:01:00Jewish tradition, thousands of years,
- 1:01:012,000 years of Jewish tradition, that
- 1:01:03Jews are to remain in exile and await
- 1:01:07the coming of the Messiah. Uh, and then
- 1:01:10the Messiah will gather them back uh
- 1:01:13into the land and and and reconstitute
- 1:01:15the kingdom.
- 1:01:16>> But they've already done that. They've
- 1:01:17already done that.
- 1:01:18>> They've already done that. Yeah. So,
- 1:01:20yeah, they forced his hand. They tried
- 1:01:22to do that with Isaam
- 1:01:24as well.
- 1:01:25>> Wanted to ask you Dr. Ali um it's kind
- 1:01:28of hard in today's kind of climate to
- 1:01:30see perhaps the link between Judaism and
- 1:01:33Islam or any significant figures but
- 1:01:35Moses Mymonades in particular. What
- 1:01:38could you tell us about Moses Mymonades
- 1:01:40and his connection uh to the Islamic
- 1:01:42world?
- 1:01:45>> Mymonades probably the most the greatest
- 1:01:47philosopher and theologian uh in Jewish
- 1:01:50history. He's uh initially he was a bit
- 1:01:52controversial for some of his uh
- 1:01:54principles. He wrote this very famous
- 1:01:56the very famous 13 principles of Jewish
- 1:01:58faith that he articulates in his Mishna
- 1:02:00Torah. He also read the wrote the
- 1:02:04guide for for the perplexed. Uh he
- 1:02:07actually wrote that in Judeo Arabic. So
- 1:02:08he wrote everything in Arabic with
- 1:02:09Hebrew letters. Um so he was highly
- 1:02:13influenced I think by Islamic uh
- 1:02:15theology, Islamic philosophy and a lot
- 1:02:17of his 13 principles that he considers
- 1:02:19to be absolutely foundational and
- 1:02:22fundamental for every Jew to believe in.
- 1:02:24I think a lot of those things were a lot
- 1:02:26of his principles were influenced by
- 1:02:28Islamic theology. Um for example, he
- 1:02:30says things like you know any prophet
- 1:02:32who comes after Moses who says that the
- 1:02:35Torah has been abregated or brings a new
- 1:02:37law that's a false prophet and things
- 1:02:38like that. So he's kind of responding to
- 1:02:40these Islamic talking points and he also
- 1:02:42mentions uh that the true Messiah will
- 1:02:45build the third temple and again I don't
- 1:02:47think any I don't think any Jews in the
- 1:02:49first century the time of Isaam knew or
- 1:02:51expected that the second temple was
- 1:02:53going to be destroyed. That's a later
- 1:02:55development. Um
- 1:02:57uh but um and so yeah, he's he he
- 1:03:02initially he was a bit controversial uh
- 1:03:04for some of his principles, but uh
- 1:03:06eventually um most most Jews at least in
- 1:03:09the Orthodox tradition, they they accept
- 1:03:11him as as an authority in in in Orthodox
- 1:03:13Judaism. And so he has these detailed
- 1:03:16principles, as I said, and one of the
- 1:03:17most detailed ones is his his um
- 1:03:20description of the coming of the
- 1:03:21Messiah. And it's some of the things I
- 1:03:23mentioned earlier. He's going to rebuild
- 1:03:24the temple. who's going to fight the
- 1:03:25wars of the Lord. He's going to be from
- 1:03:27the the seed of David. But that's the
- 1:03:29other thing is that's very strange is
- 1:03:32when the second temple was destroyed in
- 1:03:3470 of the common era by the Romans, the
- 1:03:37temple also housed the genealogical
- 1:03:39archives uh of of the Jews. Um and so
- 1:03:44when the temple was destroyed,
- 1:03:46[clears throat] those archives, those
- 1:03:48those genealogies were also destroyed.
- 1:03:50In other words, there there's no way any
- 1:03:52Jew today can establish that he's from
- 1:03:55David's line. The only tribe that kept
- 1:03:58their records to a certain degree are
- 1:04:00the Levites, right? The priests. And
- 1:04:02that's why they have, you know, in in
- 1:04:04so-called Israel today, they have a
- 1:04:05group of young men that that are ready
- 1:04:07to become the new priests at the third
- 1:04:09temple. But there's no way for a a
- 1:04:12Jewish man to establish that he's from
- 1:04:14David. I don't know how my monities
- 1:04:16actually deals with that. uh maybe you
- 1:04:18just have to sort of trust this person
- 1:04:20based on other things that he'll do that
- 1:04:23he's from David's line but it but it's
- 1:04:25just very strange there's no way for a
- 1:04:27Jew today to to actually to prove that
- 1:04:30but the most important thing for
- 1:04:31Ammonades is the building of the third
- 1:04:33temple right so there was a there was a
- 1:04:35Jewish leader
- 1:04:37named Simon Barokba in the middle of the
- 1:04:39second century uh who was endorsed as
- 1:04:42the messiah
- 1:04:43>> um this is after the second temple had
- 1:04:45been destroyed and he actually defeated
- 1:04:47the Roman Romans at Fort Antonia in
- 1:04:49Jerusalem actually seized control of
- 1:04:51Jerusalem was starting to bring back the
- 1:04:54priesthood was minting coins and had
- 1:04:57plans to rebuild the temple but then he
- 1:04:59was crushed by the emperor Hadrien uh
- 1:05:02and so uh they rejected him as the mess
- 1:05:04he was a good candidate for the messiah
- 1:05:06but eventually uh they didn't they
- 1:05:08didn't accept him uh to be the messiah
- 1:05:11so the third temple is is extremely
- 1:05:13important uh in in Orthodox Judaism and
- 1:05:16the Christians inherited that uh in the
- 1:05:18book of second Thessalonians which is
- 1:05:20written by pseudo Paul most historians
- 1:05:23don't believe Paul wrote second
- 1:05:24Thessalonians they think it's
- 1:05:25pseudonymous in other words someone
- 1:05:27claiming to be Paul in other words it's
- 1:05:30a forgery in Paul's name but okay let's
- 1:05:32just say Paul wrote it uh Paul says that
- 1:05:35the man of lawlessness will be will sit
- 1:05:37in the temple of God okay the man of
- 1:05:40lawlessness which is taken to mean the
- 1:05:42antichrist although it doesn't say
- 1:05:43antichrist uh in 2 Thessalonians it says
- 1:05:46the man of lawlessness which is taken by
- 1:05:48Christian exits and early church fathers
- 1:05:50to be the antichrist. It says he'll sit
- 1:05:52in the temple of God. But you know if
- 1:05:55Paul wrote that Paul was killed
- 1:05:56according to Christian tradition in 67
- 1:05:59of the common era the second temple was
- 1:06:02standing until 70 of the common era. So
- 1:06:05that's the second temple that Paul is
- 1:06:07talking about. The temple was still
- 1:06:08standing. It's amazing. You'll have
- 1:06:10Christians read that and say you see
- 1:06:12this is evidence of a third temple. But
- 1:06:13you believe Paul wrote this. If Paul
- 1:06:15wrote this, he's writing before
- 1:06:17>> the destruction of the second temple. I
- 1:06:19mean, maybe it's the third temple, but
- 1:06:21there's no reason to jump to a third
- 1:06:22temple when the second temple is is
- 1:06:24already standing. Yeah. So, that doesn't
- 1:06:27make a lot of sense there.
- 1:06:29>> Um, the only time the word antichrist is
- 1:06:31used in the New Testament is in the the
- 1:06:34first epistle of John. The first epistle
- 1:06:36of John is the only time, not even the
- 1:06:38book of Revelation uses antichrist. It
- 1:06:40says the theionon which means the beast,
- 1:06:42the beast of the sea, the beast of the
- 1:06:44earth which Christians take to mean the
- 1:06:46antichrist whose number is 666 etc. But
- 1:06:50in in first the first epistle of John is
- 1:06:53the only time we find the the word
- 1:06:54antichrist and it says something very
- 1:06:57interesting about the antichrist. So the
- 1:07:00uh the community that authored first
- 1:07:03John, the Johannan community, um they
- 1:07:06were [clears throat] dealing with
- 1:07:06different sort of Christian schismatics,
- 1:07:09Christians that they considered to be
- 1:07:11heretics and also Jews that didn't
- 1:07:13believe in Jesus. So there were
- 1:07:15Christians called the dose who actually
- 1:07:17believed that Jesus was uh God uh but he
- 1:07:20didn't actually have a a physical body.
- 1:07:24He was immaterial. He was like a
- 1:07:25fantasm, right? So there were Christians
- 1:07:27who believed that. So he didn't he
- 1:07:29didn't really die, right? And there of
- 1:07:31course there were Jews who rejected
- 1:07:32Jesus. So the the author of the first
- 1:07:34epistle of John, he says, "Whoever says
- 1:07:36that Jesus did not come in the flesh, he
- 1:07:39is an antichrist."
- 1:07:41>> Okay. So the dose are considered
- 1:07:43antichrist. Those who said that Jesus
- 1:07:45was sort of just like this ghost or a
- 1:07:47fantasm. And then he says, "Whoever
- 1:07:49doesn't believe that Jesus is the Christ
- 1:07:51is an antichrist."
- 1:07:53Which is very interesting.
- 1:07:54>> So if you don't if Yeah. If you don't
- 1:07:57believe Jesus is the Messiah, you are an
- 1:08:00antichrist according to the New
- 1:08:01Testament. That's the New Testament.
- 1:08:05>> Uh Dr. Ali, [cough and clears throat] um
- 1:08:07obviously you've very well verssed in
- 1:08:10the esquetology of Judaism, esquetology
- 1:08:13of Christianity and also esquetology of
- 1:08:15Islam. Now many people are saying we're
- 1:08:18like in endgame. It's like the end of
- 1:08:20days. The emergence of AI has lit
- 1:08:23literally like thrown us into the
- 1:08:24stratosphere when it comes to
- 1:08:25technology. So how close are we in your
- 1:08:30reading in your like speculation? How
- 1:08:33close are we to like the emergence of
- 1:08:35the antichrist
- 1:08:38>> and no one knows of course.
- 1:08:40>> Yeah. Yeah. I mean certainly
- 1:08:42>> one can argue that all of the minor
- 1:08:44signs are fulfilled. You know the the
- 1:08:47major signs are left. I mean the first
- 1:08:49major sign is the coming of the ultimate
- 1:08:52prophet the prophet sallallahu alaihi
- 1:08:53wasallam. That's the first that's the
- 1:08:55first major sign and he said
- 1:08:58and he put up his his two fingers like
- 1:09:00that. So it's I mean if you look at the
- 1:09:02whole spectrum of human civilization you
- 1:09:04know the last 1400 years is just a drop
- 1:09:06in the bucket uh
- 1:09:09um when you compare it to how long homo
- 1:09:10sapiens if you want to use that term
- 1:09:12have been on this earth whatever if it's
- 1:09:15100,000 or 200,000 now they're saying a
- 1:09:17million years. So it's it's it's always
- 1:09:19been close right the sah has always been
- 1:09:21close and really our our death is our
- 1:09:23sah
- 1:09:24>> right and that that's something that we
- 1:09:26should always you know rather than
- 1:09:28because you know the prophet sallallahu
- 1:09:29alaihi wasallam he said if the end of
- 1:09:30time should come upon you and you're
- 1:09:32planting a seed finish planting the seed
- 1:09:34even though you'll never see the fruits
- 1:09:35of that tree that's not the point we
- 1:09:37just have to do what we believe is right
- 1:09:40and our priority is always on the a but
- 1:09:44certainly when we look around the world
- 1:09:45it does seem like you know it seems like
- 1:09:47It's it's drawing very close. The whole
- 1:09:51idea of, you know, like I said, the last
- 1:09:53like just 10 years ago, talking about
- 1:09:55greater Israel is just taboo and you're
- 1:09:58crazy and you're anti-semitic and things
- 1:10:00like that. I mean, they still say you're
- 1:10:01anti anti-semitic if you talk about
- 1:10:03greater Israel. Uh but it's becoming
- 1:10:05much much more mainstream and then
- 1:10:07what's happening with uh you know these
- 1:10:09conflicts in that region and and so
- 1:10:12certainly something is drawing uh is
- 1:10:14drawing close. Um but you know Allah um
- 1:10:20you know may Allah help us you know it's
- 1:10:21it's
- 1:10:23the worst fitna the prophet sallallahu
- 1:10:25alaihi wasallam he said it's the worst
- 1:10:27fitna uh to come and so you know we
- 1:10:30really don't want to be you know around
- 1:10:33during that time uh because it's it's
- 1:10:36going to be a very very difficult time
- 1:10:38and yeah the rise of technology that's I
- 1:10:40mean dal the word dejal literally means
- 1:10:43the deceiver
- 1:10:44>> deceiver Yes.
- 1:10:45>> Yeah. He He's going to deceive. I mean,
- 1:10:47you know, he'll issue a command to the
- 1:10:49sky. It will rain. Issue a command to
- 1:10:50the crops. It will grow crops. He has an
- 1:10:52arm that reaches the bottom of the
- 1:10:54ocean, you know. Um he'll he'll cut a
- 1:10:57man in half and put him back together
- 1:10:59again. Uh you know, you know what is
- 1:11:02that about? Is it is it this type of
- 1:11:03sort of uh you know, deep fake or is it
- 1:11:06some sort of transhumanist, you know,
- 1:11:08technology or something like that? Is he
- 1:11:11asking the jin, you know, to take on the
- 1:11:13appearance of dead people, to fool
- 1:11:15people? Is it more sort of like or
- 1:11:17supernatural or is he using technology?
- 1:11:20Uh, I mean, even right now, I mean,
- 1:11:21there was a there was a um a open AI,
- 1:11:24they released this app called Sora, and
- 1:11:27somebody sent me a video and I thought
- 1:11:29it was real and it's just like
- 1:11:31>> we can't we don't even know it's real
- 1:11:32anymore. And so you know there's a
- 1:11:35beautiful dua of the prophet sallallahu
- 1:11:36alaihi wasallam you know what's really
- 1:11:38apt for our time you know
- 1:11:44right that show us the truth as truth
- 1:11:47and give us the ability to follow it and
- 1:11:50then show us the
- 1:11:53and show us the the falsehood as
- 1:11:55falsehood uh and give us the ability to
- 1:11:58to shun it. Um but when we we look
- 1:12:02around the world I mean yeah it's just
- 1:12:03incredible what you know like the
- 1:12:05prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam he
- 1:12:06said that um you know between the eyes
- 1:12:09of the antichrist is written kaf
- 1:12:12you know and uh every every believer
- 1:12:15will be able to read it um whether
- 1:12:18they're literate or illiterate and it's
- 1:12:20just amazing in the last 20 years
- 1:12:24a very popular type of tattoo has
- 1:12:26emerged where people get caffir Yeah.
- 1:12:29>> Yeah. One of the US ministers actually
- 1:12:32has a tattoo.
- 1:12:33>> The Department of War minister.
- 1:12:36>> Yeah. He has it on his arm. He has um
- 1:12:39Deos Vault, which was the cry of the um
- 1:12:42the battle cry of the crusaders. God
- 1:12:44wills it. God wills it for us to go and
- 1:12:47and kill these Muslims. And then Cather,
- 1:12:50it it's so strange. They even have like
- 1:12:52patches now on their uniform. Kafir. I
- 1:12:55was I was in my parents' city um a few
- 1:12:58years ago and I was behind a van and the
- 1:13:00van had a bumper sticker that said kafir
- 1:13:02mah
- 1:13:04armed cafir and it didn't even it didn't
- 1:13:07even translate it. It's just in Arabic.
- 1:13:10So, it's becoming, you know, like um
- 1:13:12>> I hate to use this example, but I guess
- 1:13:14it's a it's an okay example because
- 1:13:16we're talking about Kufur, but you know,
- 1:13:18like the golden arches of McDonald's,
- 1:13:20>> you know, you know, in McDonald's
- 1:13:22commercials, they don't even they don't
- 1:13:23even need to say McDonald's. They just
- 1:13:25flash the golden arches and you know
- 1:13:26exactly that it's a McDonald's
- 1:13:28commercial. So, it's now like you just
- 1:13:30see the word cathart and everyone knows
- 1:13:32what it means.
- 1:13:34>> It's just it's just incredible. And then
- 1:13:36the one eye symbolism is everywhere. M
- 1:13:40you know just if you Google celebrities
- 1:13:42one eye the iconography it's everywhere
- 1:13:47the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
- 1:13:48he said I'm going to tell you something
- 1:13:49about the antichrist that no other
- 1:13:51prophet told his people he's oneeyed and
- 1:13:53there's different ways of looking at
- 1:13:54that he's literally one eyed because
- 1:13:57he's you know m like he's he's
- 1:14:00transfigur he's uh he's um uh deformed
- 1:14:05right so like one of his eyes is like
- 1:14:07it's wiped away it's deformed
- 1:14:09Right. Uh but having one eye being
- 1:14:12myopic like you know if you have one eye
- 1:14:14you can't tell how far away things are
- 1:14:16perception
- 1:14:17>> you lose your Yeah. So if you're a
- 1:14:19fighter and you know like if you're an
- 1:14:21MMA fighter and the referee sees that
- 1:14:22one of your eyes is closed. He has to
- 1:14:24stop the fight because you can't see the
- 1:14:26punches coming. So for the djal
- 1:14:28everything is here and now. There's
- 1:14:29nothing off. There's no a everything is
- 1:14:32here and every it's just hedenism right?
- 1:14:34So that's one interpretation but
- 1:14:35literally he has one eye. We have a
- 1:14:37description of him in our tradition.
- 1:14:39He's short. He's stocky. He's muscular.
- 1:14:42He has really thick j like curly hair,
- 1:14:45right? One of his eyes is is blind. The
- 1:14:48other one looks like a floating grape.
- 1:14:50Uh he's most likely from he comes from
- 1:14:53the east, right? Um we so we have we
- 1:14:57have his descriptions. Uh but it's just
- 1:15:00amazing that the one eye symbolism. Uh
- 1:15:02so
- 1:15:04you know the prophet the prophet
- 1:15:05sallallahu alaihi wasallam he gave us
- 1:15:06these things so that we don't lose hope
- 1:15:08because a lot of people they're going to
- 1:15:10become depressed they're going there's a
- 1:15:12lot of shouhat that's the other thing
- 1:15:13that a jal does he's an expert at
- 1:15:15raising shouhat according to the hadith
- 1:15:17a shupa is a pseudo verarity in other
- 1:15:20words he's an expert at causing
- 1:15:21confusion and giving you halftruths
- 1:15:24right um
- 1:15:27uh and so um we have to stay vigilant
- 1:15:30and so like in the hadith Jabrel, you
- 1:15:33know, Jirelam, he didn't stop at three
- 1:15:36questions. A lot of people think, oh, he
- 1:15:37asked him about Islam and iman. He asked
- 1:15:40him five questions, you know, tell me
- 1:15:43about the
- 1:15:46one big question knows no more than a
- 1:15:48questioner. Then tell me about its
- 1:15:49signs, its port tense. That's the fifth
- 1:15:51question. What's the point of those
- 1:15:53signs and port tense? So that Muslims at
- 1:15:54the end of time when they're seeing all
- 1:15:56of these and types of things, these very
- 1:15:59disturbing things, you know, a genocide
- 1:16:01happening uh under our noses and we
- 1:16:03can't do anything about it and people
- 1:16:05are justifying it, you know, things like
- 1:16:07we see all this and all this crazy
- 1:16:10technology
- 1:16:11>> epineph.
- 1:16:14Exactly. Exactly. That that we see. Oh,
- 1:16:18he told us about this. He told us about
- 1:16:20this. Yeah. The the Epstein thing. Yeah.
- 1:16:23Yeah, that's the other thing is like
- 1:16:24again if we talk about these things that
- 1:16:26there's like a Jewish cabal that
- 1:16:28believes that the right that the
- 1:16:30the Gentiles are here to serve them. I
- 1:16:32mean it's written in the Talmud. I mean
- 1:16:33not every rabbi takes this position but
- 1:16:35it is something that's part of their
- 1:16:37tradition and Judah Halevi says and as
- 1:16:39Kab it's called um Huzari the book of
- 1:16:42Huzari that Jews have two souls. They
- 1:16:45have a divine soul and a beastly soul
- 1:16:46but Gentiles only have a beastly soul
- 1:16:49and that they're a lesser kind of human
- 1:16:51being. It's not a qualitative
- 1:16:52difference. It's a difference in
- 1:16:53species. I mean, you find these writings
- 1:16:56uh and we and we find this in the
- 1:16:58Epstein files. I mean, right, the Quran
- 1:17:00says they're not all the same. They're
- 1:17:02not all the same.
- 1:17:06And from the people of Moses are those
- 1:17:08that guide to the truth and they're just
- 1:17:11But there are also
- 1:17:13they're also Jews who say,
- 1:17:16"We're not going to be held accountable
- 1:17:18for exploiting these. We can do whatever
- 1:17:20we want with them. They're our slaves
- 1:17:22and we can herd them up and rule over
- 1:17:24them. And
- 1:17:24>> you you find us
- 1:17:26>> sending Americans to die for their wars,
- 1:17:28to die for their goals. It's crazy.
- 1:17:31>> I I think just as a disclaimer, cuz I'm
- 1:17:33sure there'll be people that will come
- 1:17:34after us for this podcast, but like is
- 1:17:36anything that we said anti-semitic?
- 1:17:40>> And no, of course not. Anti-Semitic? I
- 1:17:42mean, Arabs are see, right? I
- 1:17:44[clears throat] I can't be an
- 1:17:45anti-Semitic. because because I love
- 1:17:48Israelite and Muslim pro I love
- 1:17:50Israelite and Ishelite prophets
- 1:17:53>> right it's it's it's part of our faith
- 1:17:55it's a it's a it's a requisite it's a
- 1:17:57foundation principle in our faith to
- 1:18:00love Musam
- 1:18:02>> to love Harunam to love
- 1:18:06to love is Ali we we pray upon the
- 1:18:09family of Ibraim we send blessings upon
- 1:18:12his family
- 1:18:14>> yeah and exactly and that's just not the
- 1:18:16Ishraelites. Those are the Israelites as
- 1:18:19well from his from from his progeny. Uh
- 1:18:23so uh you know this it's just a uh it's
- 1:18:26a thoughts stopper. It's a way to stifle
- 1:18:28discussion. It's an ad hominemum attack
- 1:18:30and it just it doesn't hold any water.
- 1:18:32You know there are there are Jews sat
- 1:18:35the satar hassidic community that are
- 1:18:38vehemently anti-ionist and they're Jews.
- 1:18:42>> Okay. Are they anti-semitic? you know,
- 1:18:44is Rabbi Joel Tidlebomb is he
- 1:18:47anti-Semitic? He has a huge community in
- 1:18:49New York that uh that um condemn Zionism
- 1:18:53uh and accuse Zionists of hijacking uh
- 1:18:57the religion of Judaism. Um is he
- 1:18:59anti-semitic? Are the Notoriarta, right?
- 1:19:02Uh another group of Orthodox Jews, are
- 1:19:05they anti-Semitic? Voice, Jewish voices
- 1:19:07for peace, are they anti-Semitic?
- 1:19:09>> It just it's just a label they want to
- 1:19:11throw out. uh that just you know um it's
- 1:19:15I think it's a desperation tactic is
- 1:19:17they can't engage with the argument so
- 1:19:19you're going to use an ad hominemum
- 1:19:20attack which is the the worst kind of
- 1:19:22argument.
- 1:19:23>> I have one last question for [laughter]
- 1:19:24myself and I'll leave it with Malik to
- 1:19:26close. Um, doctor, I've seen you before
- 1:19:29go through the Quran and like pick out
- 1:19:31references that would otherwise go over
- 1:19:33the top of Muslims heads, even Muslim
- 1:19:36scholars heads, just through your
- 1:19:38ability to point out is Iliat or like
- 1:19:41verses from the Bible or verses from the
- 1:19:43Torah. Um you mentioned once um the
- 1:19:46Queen of Sheba how she raised her um she
- 1:19:49exposed her shin and you said that was a
- 1:19:51reference to a biblical story that many
- 1:19:53Muslims may not be aware of or or if I'm
- 1:19:56correct I I wanted to ask you
- 1:20:00the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
- 1:20:02he said this was the antidote this was
- 1:20:03the remedy this is your protection from
- 1:20:05the dal is there anything inah that the
- 1:20:08Muslim may not be aware of
- 1:20:12wellam this uh idea of
- 1:20:17protecting yourself against antichristic
- 1:20:20ideas. That's something that we have to
- 1:20:22think about. You know, the Quran says
- 1:20:25this is not this isn't but the lesson is
- 1:20:29is apt.
- 1:20:39You're going to hear a lot a lot from
- 1:20:43the people of the book, Jews and
- 1:20:44Christians, people of the Bible. Kab
- 1:20:47Bible means kab maybe we can translate
- 1:20:49kab here as Bible. The people of the
- 1:20:51Bible and those who associate with go
- 1:20:53with God a lot of harm a lot of
- 1:20:57disturbing depressing things but if you
- 1:21:00uh are patient soar patience
- 1:21:04perseverance self-control discipline
- 1:21:07that's all part of patience.
- 1:21:10And you protect yourself from tawa to
- 1:21:14protect yourself. How do you protect
- 1:21:16yourself from hearing all of this white
- 1:21:18noise coming from and from the mushik is
- 1:21:22that you just don't engage with things?
- 1:21:24So I always tell Muslims we have to
- 1:21:26limit our engagement uh with social
- 1:21:29media. You know doom scrolling going
- 1:21:31down YouTube rabbit holes unless they're
- 1:21:33good content obviously but you know
- 1:21:35>> religial one path.
- 1:21:37>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, the but that's the
- 1:21:39thing is the algorithm it gets you. It
- 1:21:41throws something in. It's it's kind of
- 1:21:43titillating and people quote on it and
- 1:21:44they quote click on it and then they go
- 1:21:47down this this rabbit hole of shouhat
- 1:21:49and and they're just exposing their
- 1:21:51hearts to all of these all of these
- 1:21:53confusing things that that different
- 1:21:55types of people are raising about our
- 1:21:57tradition about the prophetam about the
- 1:21:58Quran and then they wonder why am I so
- 1:22:00anxious why am I depressed why can't I
- 1:22:02sleep why can't I wake up with fudger
- 1:22:04>> so to just to protect yourself to have
- 1:22:06that balance and so you have the youth
- 1:22:08that betook themselves to the cave a
- 1:22:11type of isolation
- 1:22:12right? a type of kalwa. Uh and that's
- 1:22:15something that we have to think about as
- 1:22:18you know as the time of the djal draws
- 1:22:21close we have to think about just
- 1:22:23protecting our hearts and maybe taking a
- 1:22:25more isolationist approach to things.
- 1:22:28>> Just Dr. Alask mentioned you know we
- 1:22:32we're trying to utilize as much as we
- 1:22:34can. So he has some questions. I've got
- 1:22:35one question that kind of uh uh I know
- 1:22:39you've done a talk on this beforehand
- 1:22:40and I know it could be a big answer but
- 1:22:42again in the capacity that you have. You
- 1:22:44just mentioned recently um you were just
- 1:22:46saying that we won't be the adherence
- 1:22:48would be saying we will not be accounted
- 1:22:51for our actions. So I want that led me
- 1:22:53to a question in Judaism and I know this
- 1:22:56could vary. What is the concept of the
- 1:22:58afterlife? Do they believe in heaven or
- 1:23:01hell? because I recall you having a
- 1:23:03conversation with one of your professors
- 1:23:05before perhaps you could mention that to
- 1:23:07us
- 1:23:08>> also your time we're conscious of your
- 1:23:10time
- 1:23:10>> that's the last question for us
- 1:23:11>> okay yeah that's inshallah I'll answer
- 1:23:14the question thank you so much um so
- 1:23:17this a very good question actually there
- 1:23:19is nothing in the entire Tanakh by
- 1:23:22Tanakh I mean the old testament
- 1:23:25Christians call it the old testament
- 1:23:28Jews call it the Tanakh Tanakh is an
- 1:23:29acronym for Torah nabbim ketubim those
- 1:23:3239 books that start at Genesis and go to
- 1:23:34Malachi, there's really nothing
- 1:23:37explicitly about an afterlife
- 1:23:40in the whole of the Tanakh. Okay? Not
- 1:23:42even in the Psalms really there's
- 1:23:44anything about an afterlife which is a
- 1:23:46bit strange. Uh so um there are many
- 1:23:49Jews who don't believe in an afterlife
- 1:23:51because there are many Jews who don't
- 1:23:53put a lot of stock in the Talmud because
- 1:23:55the afterlife talk actually comes in the
- 1:23:57Talmud. the Mishna and Gomorrah, right,
- 1:24:00which is more traditional orthodoxy. So,
- 1:24:03I would say probably the majority of
- 1:24:04Jews in the world today uh that are even
- 1:24:08religious Jews don't believe in an
- 1:24:10afterlife because the Orthodox community
- 1:24:11is only about 10%
- 1:24:14uh of the Jewish community, the
- 1:24:15religious Jewish community. We're
- 1:24:16talking traditional Orthodox and modern
- 1:24:18orthodoxy. Uh so many reformed and
- 1:24:21conservative Jews do not believe in an
- 1:24:22afterlife. I asked one of my teachers uh
- 1:24:24when I was an undergraduate uh he was a
- 1:24:26conservative rabbi and I said, "Do you
- 1:24:28believe in an afterlife?" And he said,
- 1:24:29"Me." He just went or something like
- 1:24:32that. Uh and so there's there's there's
- 1:24:35nothing really there. Um and so the the
- 1:24:39understanding of many Jews who do not
- 1:24:41believe in an afterlife is that
- 1:24:42everything happens in this world,
- 1:24:44>> right? Rewards and punishments are in
- 1:24:46this world. uh and so if you're doing
- 1:24:49well in this world and you're prosperous
- 1:24:50and uh you know you have wealth and you
- 1:24:53have influence and you have power then
- 1:24:54this is a sign that God loves you and
- 1:24:56God is blessing you. So they really
- 1:24:58don't have this idea okay maybe that's
- 1:25:00maybe that's a type of fitna and God is
- 1:25:02testing me with these things you know so
- 1:25:04that that becomes dangerous that becomes
- 1:25:05kind of a prosperity gospel type of
- 1:25:07understanding which is a lot of a lot of
- 1:25:08Christians they buy into this idea
- 1:25:10>> is that why it says in the Quran
- 1:25:14they wish to live for a thousand years
- 1:25:17>> yeah and and a lot of these AI guys
- 1:25:20these tech guys I mean they come from a
- 1:25:22Jewish background and they're and
- 1:25:23they're really involved in this
- 1:25:24transhumanism they're trying to get to a
- 1:25:27point where they and upload their
- 1:25:28consciousness into clouds and then
- 1:25:30download them into these robotic avatars
- 1:25:33so that they can basically become
- 1:25:35immortal. I mean Ray Kerszswwell uh who
- 1:25:38did a TED talk um you know he was asked
- 1:25:40do you believe in God and he said not
- 1:25:42yet uh you know so with their technology
- 1:25:45they're trying to play God um you know
- 1:25:48so
- 1:25:50but I will say this mymonities does
- 1:25:52consider it a pillar to believe in an
- 1:25:54afterlife. Okay. So, Mymones again
- 1:25:56[clears throat] who's considered uh one
- 1:25:59of the greatest if not the greatest
- 1:26:00theologian and philosopher. He says it
- 1:26:02is a a pillar of Jewish faith to believe
- 1:26:04in an afterlife. So, that's the
- 1:26:06traditional orthodox uh position. Uh but
- 1:26:09it's not clear because not all Jews
- 1:26:11believe in the Talmud. Uh and um there's
- 1:26:15a lot of different opinions about an
- 1:26:16afterlife, what actually happens in an
- 1:26:18afterlife. like my monities position. So
- 1:26:20even rabbis that do believe in an
- 1:26:22afterlife, they have they have a
- 1:26:23difference of a position as to what
- 1:26:24actually happens. Mymonities believes
- 1:26:26that those who lived unrighteous lives,
- 1:26:29they're never resurrected. They just
- 1:26:30stay dead and God takes them out of
- 1:26:32existence. It's called kadith in in in
- 1:26:34Hebrew, annihilation. And only and only
- 1:26:37righteous people are resurrected. Uh you
- 1:26:40know those who are Jewish and those who
- 1:26:42follow the Noah laws, right? The seven
- 1:26:44laws that were given to Noah. We would
- 1:26:45we would be considered Noah Noah heights
- 1:26:47by the way according so we would be
- 1:26:49resurrected but then we have different
- 1:26:50stations the in the afterlife right um
- 1:26:53Sadia Gayon another very influential
- 1:26:5610th century of the common era um rabbi
- 1:27:01uh his position is more similar to ours
- 1:27:04probably influenced by us know that
- 1:27:06everyone is resurrected and there's
- 1:27:08heaven which is eternal and there's hell
- 1:27:09which is eternal or um for everlasting I
- 1:27:12should say not necessarily eternal
- 1:27:14they're both everlasting Fasting
- 1:27:15>> Dr. Ali it's been a very profound
- 1:27:18profoundly interesting conversation I
- 1:27:20know as we're talking you know people
- 1:27:21are going through heightened anxieties
- 1:27:24but as you me as you just recalled from
- 1:27:26the pro if the hour should come keep
- 1:27:28planting that seed to plant that tree
- 1:27:30and I think that's a message we should
- 1:27:32all take uh you know to heart and
- 1:27:34especially in the times that we're
- 1:27:35living in Dr. Ali, thank you so much for
- 1:27:38the conversation. We've learned so much.
- 1:27:40And again, Camal and myself, we've been
- 1:27:42trying to been thinking to get on for so
- 1:27:43long. And we do apologize that it's
- 1:27:45taken us this long to get you on, but
- 1:27:47inshallah, this is not the last. And for
- 1:27:49those who are viewing this at home,
- 1:27:51please let us know if you like to see
- 1:27:52Dr. Ali uh more often on the channel,
- 1:27:54myself and Kamal, we're already
- 1:27:56committed to the next one. We'd love to
- 1:27:57see you again. Thank you so much.
- 1:28:00Absolute honor, Dr. Ali.
- 1:28:02>> Thank you so much. The honor is mine.
- 1:28:04Thank you so much.
- 1:28:04>> Thank you so much. and forgive us for
- 1:28:05asking so many questions, but you are
