Invertir en Nvidia….o en AMD?🤔📈 — Transcript

- 0:00I hold Nvidia shares, but it's not
- 0:01really moving much. What do you think
- 0:02about rotating into AMD? Well, as usual
- 0:04, I have a short answer and a long
- 0:06answer. The short one is that I think
- 0:08it's a bad idea because, although they
- 0:09may seem the same, they are two very
- 0:10different companies to hold in a
- 0:12portfolio. And in the long answer, I'll
- 0:13go a bit deeper into this. For one,
- 0:16it's usually not a great idea when you
- 0:17see a stock you've bought isn't
- 0:19performing well for whatever reason, to
- 0:21just buy another one out of pure FOMO
- 0:22because it's going up, okay? Ideally,
- 0:25every time you buy or sell, there
- 0:26should be a reason behind it. There
- 0:28should be a system behind it indicating
- 0:30a buy point and an exit point, right?
- 0:32And on the other hand, as I was saying,
- 0:33I consider them to be two very
- 0:35different companies. Personally, I have
- 0:36Nvidia in my portfolio and I have AMD
- 0:38in my portfolio, but I trade them very
- 0:39differently. Nvidia is a market leader;
- 0:41it is number one and a much more mature
- 0:43, more consolidated company in the
- 0:45market. That makes it seem like a
- 0:47better long-term option to me
- 0:48personally. Even though it's worth five
- 0:51or six times more than AMD, I still
- 0:52think it's a better long-term choice.
- 0:55It’s a much more consolidated company
- 0:56, a market leader, showing a very clear
- 0:58trend, though often within tighter
- 0:59ranges. It is not a company that moves
- 1:02as vertically, and where we might
- 1:04expect such vertical trends as we might
- 1:05in AMD. And with AMD, we have a company
- 1:08that is starting to accelerate its
- 1:10revenue strongly. It is not the
- 1:12industry leader, but the market is
- 1:13positioning it better and better,
- 1:15rewarding those fundamentals, and at
- 1:16the same time, it’s not as mature in
- 1:18the market, even though it’s a giant
- 1:20company. That makes for the much more
- 1:22volatile movements we see. How do I
- 1:24trade Nvidia? As a long-term asset, a
- 1:25market leader, very robust to hold in a
- 1:27long-term portfolio. Do I trade AMD
- 1:29long-term? No, I hold AMD in a
- 1:31medium-term portfolio because I believe
- 1:33there is a better opportunity in AMD to
- 1:35catch a strong trend, but at the same
- 1:37time, I think it's a much riskier stock
- 1:39due to how it moves. Therefore, they
- 1:41are not the same companies, I wouldn't
- 1:42trade them the same way, and I wouldn't
- 1:44focus on, "Hey, AMD is rising more, so
- 1:46I'll sell Nvidia and buy AMD," because
- 1:47they are two totally different profiles
- 1:49. The ideal thing is for you to know
- 1:51how each of them behaves and what place
- 1:53it can have in your portfolio. And if
- 1:56you want to delve into how I personally
- 1:57am evaluating this trade in AMD, as I
- 1:59say, a more volatile stock, which can
- 2:01offer a great trend, yes, but at the
- 2:02same time is a higher-risk stock than
- 2:04Nvidia, which is a very consolidated
- 2:06company. Just these last few weeks I
- 2:08uploaded a video to this channel. You
- 2:10have the link right below. Click it and
- 2:12I'll take you there, because I discuss
- 2:14why I find AMD interesting, why I think
- 2:15it could have a good trend ahead, but
- 2:17above all how I will be trading it,
- 2:19because as I say, with a company like
- 2:20this it's not as easy as buy and forget
- 2:22. A less consolidated company that you
- 2:24have to know how to trade well.
