- 0:07train Journeys are just so much fun
- 0:10especially with all the scenery
- 0:13around oh hey there friends I'm sure
- 0:17you've enjoyed train rides as much as I
- 0:20have trains are one of the best and most
- 0:23important modes of Transport even today
- 0:27but do you know the story behind the
- 0:29invention of trains let's begin our
- 0:34journey zoom
- 0:37in work in the coal mines was growing
- 0:40rapidly during Industrial Revolution in
- 0:43the
- 0:441800s but they were facing two major
- 0:48problems first was the inefficient
- 0:51transportation system of coal to
- 0:53different parts of the country the
- 0:56carriages were being pulled by horses
- 0:59that proved to be quite
- 1:03unsuitable and secondly in the excess wo
- 1:07the excessive water
- 1:10logging in the mindes made it difficult
- 1:13for workers to dig
- 1:17through surprisingly the solution to
- 1:21both these problems was one man in
- 1:251804 a giant Cornish engineer Richard
- 1:29Trev everything stepped in Richard was
- 1:32hard-headed and curious since childhood
- 1:36no one really believed in his ideas but
- 1:40he proved everyone wrong he created an
- 1:43engine that contained a burning hot
- 1:46Firebox that was fed by coal and burned
- 1:50at a very high temperature the heat
- 1:54turned the water in the tender into High
- 1:56Press steam this highpressure Steam
- 1:59energy then passed through the machine
- 2:02using steam pipes Steam from the boiler
- 2:06caused the Piston to move one way and
- 2:09then the other the Piston was connected
- 2:12to a drive wheel and the movement of the
- 2:15Piston made the wheel go a full circle
- 2:19Richard then created an extended design
- 2:22in order to use his invention as a means
- 2:25of traveling and
- 2:28transporting this is when mankind took
- 2:31baby steps towards a great invention the
- 2:34train this was then known as a
- 2:38locomotive this creation was put to test
- 2:42Richard's locomotive train traveled a
- 2:45distance of
- 2:479.75 Mi and carried a load of 10 tons of
- 2:53iron however the locomotive was so heavy
- 2:57that it broke many of the cast iron
- 3:00plate rails which made people doubt his
- 3:03creation Richard made many more designs
- 3:07but unfortunately they didn't work out
- 3:10so he abandoned a poor little friend
- 3:13train he moved on and continued other
- 3:17experiments in South
- 3:19America in the following 20 years many
- 3:23Engineers tried to make the engine more
- 3:25feasible but it was George Stevenson who
- 3:29took m
- 3:30into his own hands George was asked to
- 3:34make an iron Road for better
- 3:36transportation using horses but George
- 3:39being a smart man saw what our friend
- 3:42train was capable of George had always
- 3:46been great at improving things he
- 3:48learned that the locomotive didn't
- 3:51create enough energy so he studied the
- 3:55design of the engine that was created by
- 3:58one of the engineers
- 4:00unlike his predecessor George filled his
- 4:03design with more coal and
- 4:05boilers and used rot iron instead of
- 4:09cast iron to avoid breakage his new and
- 4:13improved baby was called The Locomotion
- 4:17number
- 4:18one in 1825 Locomotion number one became
- 4:23the first public steam Railway in the
- 4:26world it ran from Darlington to Stockton
- 4:29carrying ing 450
- 4:32passengers for the next few years George
- 4:35Stevenson turned into a very busy man he
- 4:39had visitors from around the world who
- 4:41wanted to learn from him the trade of
- 4:45Railways that is what made him the
- 4:47father of
- 4:49rails we have come a long way since then
- 4:52my friends in order to operate faster
- 4:56Innovative magf technology has been in
- 4:59use
- 5:00the magl technology uses magnets to
- 5:03levitate the train above the track
- 5:05reducing friction and allowing higher
- 5:08speeds that sounds magical right let me
- 5:13tell you something even more
- 5:15exciting trivia
- 5:18time did you know when trains were first
- 5:21invented back in 1804 people were
- 5:24worried that the speed of the train
- 5:26would make it impossible for passengers
- 5:29to bre breathe seems weird right in fact
- 5:33the train was so slow that it lost its
- 5:37first ever race to a
- 5:40horse now can you imagine that the
- 5:44longest train station in the world is
- 5:46gorakpur railway station in India it is
- 5:514,483 Ft long and the world's longest
- 5:56route without changing trains is one of
- 5:59of
- 6:016,346 mil which runs from Moscow to
- 6:06North Korea the journey takes 7 Days 20
- 6:10hours and 25
- 6:12minutes wo that's a long time isn't
- 6:17it so I'm off to the mountains with my
- 6:21friend train until next time this is me
- 6:25zooming out
