- 0:10I'm Mr bangar Raju and in this video I
- 0:12want to demonstrate you what is net and
- 0:16what exactly can we do with this
- 0:17particular
- 0:21net according to Microsoft there is no
- 0:25full form for this particular net we
- 0:26don't have any full form for this
- 0:28particular net and also so we don't have
- 0:30any standard definition for this
- 0:32particular net so what is this net means
- 0:35simply speaking we can just say it is
- 0:37going to be a
- 0:39software or a product that came from
- 0:42Microsoft which can be used for
- 0:43developing various kinds of applications
- 0:47so we use it in the development of
- 0:48various kinds of applications so if at
- 0:51all you want to develop any applications
- 0:52now you can develop them by using the
- 0:55net actually when we talk about
- 0:57applications we need to understand about
- 0:59this first applications are divided into
- 1:01various categories like we just call
- 1:04them as desktop
- 1:10applications web
- 1:15applications and the mobile
- 1:19applications like this we can just go
- 1:22for dividing an application into
- 1:24different categorizations first desktop
- 1:27applications web applications and mobile
- 1:29applications
- 1:30unfortunately what is the problem with
- 1:32the older programming languages is
- 1:35suppose if at all we are just going to
- 1:36work with older programming languages
- 1:38like C C++ we have a drawback the
- 1:41drawback is like uh we cannot use the
- 1:43same language for developing all the
- 1:46kinds of applications we cannot use the
- 1:48same language for developing all the
- 1:50kinds of applications where we required
- 1:52to use a different language for each
- 1:55application we are going to develop for
- 1:57example if you want to build a desktop
- 1:59applications we required to just use
- 2:02languages like C C++ Visual Basic power
- 2:05Builder so by with the help of those
- 2:07languages we can develop the desktop
- 2:09applications but those languages are not
- 2:12feasible for developing web applications
- 2:15if you want to develop web application
- 2:17we're required to just take the support
- 2:19of some other languages and Technologies
- 2:21like PHP CGI cold fusion ASP VB script
- 2:26JavaScript like this we need to take the
- 2:29help of a different language and
- 2:31technology for developing the web
- 2:32applications but when you come to mobile
- 2:34application development mobile
- 2:36application development was not
- 2:38available in the older days it will came
- 2:40into picture after 2000 so earlier
- 2:43mobile applications are not available in
- 2:45the industry so mobile applications came
- 2:47into picture after Java and net are
- 2:50introduced fine now so what is the
- 2:53drawback or what the problem I'm telling
- 2:55you is if you are a programmer if you
- 2:57are a programmer to develop different
- 2:59kinds of applications we required to
- 3:02just focus on or we required to learn
- 3:04different kinds of languages so as a
- 3:07programmer learning more number of
- 3:09languages putting all the syntaxes in
- 3:11the brain is a little bit confusing
- 3:13because we work with one language and
- 3:15from there if you go to the second
- 3:16language compulsory we Face the
- 3:18confusion with the old syntaxes in the
- 3:20new language so all the problems what we
- 3:24are talking right now are addressed with
- 3:26net what is it if you are going to use
- 3:29net with net we can develop desktop
- 3:32applications we can develop web
- 3:34applications we can develop mobile
- 3:36applications what not everything under a
- 3:39single roof so like this Microsoft has
- 3:41given as net a product that came from
- 3:44the Microsoft for developing various
- 3:46kinds of applications like desktop web
- 3:49and mobile now let us understand how to
- 3:52develop these applications if at all you
- 3:55want to develop these applications we
- 3:58right now require some from support now
- 4:01and to provide the support what did
- 4:03Microsoft done is under
- 4:07net under net it has provided as a set
- 4:11of
- 4:14languages
- 4:16see to develop an application you
- 4:18require a programming language so what
- 4:21did Microsoft done is under net it has
- 4:23provided you a set of programming
- 4:25languages not like one language n number
- 4:28of languages are provided for you so
- 4:30that's why I'm calling it languages
- 4:32officially there are 30 plus languages
- 4:36in net there are 30 plus languages in
- 4:40net so generally when we hear that 30
- 4:43plus languages we we get in a
- 4:46confusion what is the need of these many
- 4:48number of languages but the thing to
- 4:51understand here is the need for these
- 4:52many number of languages is different
- 4:55people come from different background
- 4:57means some people come from ball
- 4:59background some people come from Pascal
- 5:01background some people come from java
- 5:03background some people come from cc++
- 5:06background so when different people are
- 5:08coming from different backgrounds all
- 5:11these particular people if they want to
- 5:12work in the same language in one
- 5:14language they required to be they
- 5:17required to just have some confusion
- 5:19they face some confusion in acquainting
- 5:21with one L language so that's where
- 5:23Microsoft what it has done is it has
- 5:25given you multiple languages and said
- 5:28that if you come from a particular
- 5:30background you can use a particular
- 5:33language that is available here so
- 5:34suppose if you come from cc++ background
- 5:37Microsoft provides us a language called
- 5:41C so this C language is can be
- 5:45considered as an extension for C++ see
- 5:48all of us know that extension is C++ now
- 5:52you can just understand you can take c
- 5:54as an extension for C++ so because C is
- 5:57an extension for C++ what whatever we
- 6:00learned in C language or whatever we
- 6:02learned in C++ language can be applied
- 6:05in cop means we basically know the
- 6:07fundamentals of the language now data
- 6:09types conditional statements whatever we
- 6:11learned in ccpp can be used in C as it
- 6:14is with some minor differences same way
- 6:16if at all you come from VB background
- 6:19the classical Visual Basic there is a
- 6:21language from Microsoft in the '90s and
- 6:23if you come from that background
- 6:25Microsoft has given one language for
- 6:27developing applications called as vb.net
- 6:31so now you can build applications by
- 6:33using vb.net language so this is one
- 6:35programming language this is another
- 6:37programming language like this we have
- 6:40vc+
- 6:45plus.net
- 6:52f.net jp.net
- 6:57we have n number number of programming
- 7:00languages like this and we have nearly
- 7:0230 plus languages like this so what is
- 7:04the advantage for a programmer here is
- 7:07programmer has a choice of choosing a
- 7:10language according to his interest
- 7:12generally when we purchase a product we
- 7:15always take like this a a better color
- 7:18in the product if you're purchasing a
- 7:19mobile what you see you just try to
- 7:21check it out what are the various colors
- 7:23available and you pick the color of your
- 7:25choice and all the people will not pick
- 7:27the same color I may pick one color you
- 7:29pick another color so like this net is
- 7:32also offering you number of languages
- 7:34and telling you pick a language of your
- 7:37choice so what you can do if you are
- 7:39from cc++ background choose C if you are
- 7:42from VB background choose vb.net if you
- 7:44are from VC Plus+ background choose vc+
- 7:47plus.net if you are from java background
- 7:50choose J shop.net like this 30 plus
- 7:53languages are available for you to
- 7:56choose and you can choose any language
- 7:58according to your interest
- 7:59and no two people can or no people need
- 8:03to work with the same language all the
- 8:06people can work with the different
- 8:07different net language available but if
- 8:09not the case in Java if you go to Java
- 8:11Java means one programming language and
- 8:14all the developers has to build their
- 8:15applications by using the same
- 8:17programming language that is Java but
- 8:20come to net it's not like this you have
- 8:22a choice of choosing a language
- 8:24according to your interest but see even
- 8:28though a product is offered in multiple
- 8:29colors and we choose a color there will
- 8:31be one color which is fast moving one
- 8:33fast moving color exactly even though we
- 8:36have 30 plus languages in net the more
- 8:39powerful language or most used language
- 8:42in the industry right now is C so C
- 8:45plays the lead role here so applications
- 8:48basically are developed by using the C
- 8:51in the industry one of the most widely
- 8:53used language and the second preferred
- 8:55language is vb.net but the first
- 8:57preference is cop and as of today it was
- 9:00a right competitor for Java in the
- 9:02market so today if applications are
- 9:05being developed in the industry 70% of
- 9:07the applications we come up in the
- 9:09industry are developed either by using
- 9:11Java or net 70% applications are
- 9:14developed either by using Java or net so
- 9:18if you understand a point here if they
- 9:20are being developed in Java net Java
- 9:22means a Java language but if you come to
- 9:25net means any language we can use but
- 9:27the most preferred language is C
- 9:30so it was a big commentator for Java in
- 9:32the industry right now now let us
- 9:35understand about this
- 9:38C
- 9:41CA so if we follow this particular thing
- 9:45carefully when we learn C language or
- 9:48C++ languages we just they say like this
- 9:51what is it C++ language is an extension
- 9:53for C language if you have C the
- 9:56extension for this is
- 9:58C++
- 9:59why whatever you have in C is available
- 10:02for you in C++ with extra features like
- 10:05object oriented programming and now if
- 10:07you understand the extension for C++
- 10:09what I say is is
- 10:14C according to me c is an extension for
- 10:18C++ language so whatever things you find
- 10:21in C++ you'll find in C also so C++ if
- 10:25you just see it object oriented C is
- 10:28also object
- 10:29oriented and C++ provides you Securities
- 10:33reusability and all the things what we
- 10:35come in object or programming you can
- 10:37find all the things in C also but C++ is
- 10:41best used for developing desktop
- 10:43applications only but cop can be used
- 10:46for developing any kind of application
- 10:48that what I said to you desktop
- 10:50applications web applications mobile
- 10:52applications what not anything can be
- 10:54developed by using C so one language for
- 10:58developing all kinds of application so
- 11:00we have the same Advantage with the Java
- 11:02also but Java and C are two different
- 11:05Company products actually so whoever are
- 11:08interested with Java will go with Java
- 11:10whoever interested with net will go with
- 11:13c not like net whoever interested
- 11:16working with Microsoft products will
- 11:17always prefer the C language but whoever
- 11:21prefer working with sun Microsystems or
- 11:23Oracle Corporation will go with Java
- 11:25technology but it's a very widely used
- 11:29according to the recent statistics there
- 11:31are nearly 8 to 10% of the world
- 11:34programmers developing applications in C
- 11:388 to 10% of the world programmers are
- 11:40developing applications by using the C
- 11:42language so very powerful language what
- 11:45we can use in the industry for building
- 11:48a very excellent application now let us
- 11:52understand how do we use this particular
- 11:54C in application development or what can
- 11:57we do with this particular C
- 12:04so first let me tell you the G features
- 12:06of the C first it is
- 12:15objectoriented objectoriented the main
- 12:17strength of objectoriented programming
- 12:19is security reusability so what is that
- 12:23security reusability I will just explain
- 12:26you in the further videos we'll just
- 12:28practically see what is security and
- 12:30what is reusability in the further
- 12:32videos
- 12:36second flatform
- 12:43independent what is this platform
- 12:45independent the applications that you
- 12:47develop by using C you can run them on
- 12:50multiple platforms as of the current
- 12:53version of the net there's a direct
- 12:55support for building your cop
- 12:56applications to run on Windows Android
- 12:59phones as well as iPhones direct support
- 13:03is available in all the three things
- 13:04earlier also support was available but
- 13:06third party support but right now direct
- 13:08support from Microsoft for building
- 13:10applications to Windows phone iPhone as
- 13:13well as the Android phones in all the
- 13:15three places we can just use so that's
- 13:17what we call platform independent that
- 13:19is crossplatform
- 13:27language
- 13:33independent so what is this language
- 13:35independent language independent in the
- 13:37sense just now I was telling you C is
- 13:41one language in net but like this we
- 13:43have 30 plus languages in net so because
- 13:47we have 30 plus languages in net
- 13:49programmers can develop the applications
- 13:51by using any language of their choice
- 13:54like no two programmers required to
- 13:56write the code in the same language so I
- 13:58can choose one language you may choose
- 14:00another language suppose right now we're
- 14:02discussing on C that doesn't mean that
- 14:03everyone has to develop applications in
- 14:05C only so we are interested with c and
- 14:08going with C some other one can develop
- 14:10an application by using VB in a company
- 14:13two product two projects are being
- 14:15developed one project is developed in
- 14:17cop another project can be developed in
- 14:19vb.net so in this situation what you can
- 14:23do is suppose if any code what we are
- 14:26writing in C if can be used in vb.net if
- 14:30can be used in vb.net we can directly
- 14:33give our code to them and they can start
- 14:35consuming that code or if we want any
- 14:38code being written in VB to be used in
- 14:41cop we can directly take the code from
- 14:43them and we can use it in C so this is
- 14:46called as language independent or
- 14:49language independency simply speaking
- 14:52cross language reusability Java gives
- 14:55you reusability C++ gives you
- 14:57reusability but the thing to understand
- 14:59is the replace the reusability available
- 15:02in C++ language is a specific to C++
- 15:05mean c code can be reused in other net
- 15:08languages but not the case with C++ and
- 15:10Java C++ code can be reused in C++ only
- 15:13Java code can be reused in Java only but
- 15:16C code can be reused in all the 30 plus.
- 15:19net languages that's what we call cross
- 15:21language reusability or language
- 15:24independency so these are the three main
- 15:26features what you come across in
- 15:29object oriented security reusability
- 15:31platform independent that is cross
- 15:34operating system or cross platform
- 15:36execution language independency is cross
- 15:40language communication of your
- 15:41particular code between the languages of
- 15:44net so these are the interesting things
- 15:47about your particular
