- 0:13Randa has turned into a bit of a miracle
- 0:16in rebuilding itself from one of the
- 0:19most catastrophic types of War which is
- 0:21the Civil War the incredible steps that
- 0:23have been done in integrating the
- 0:26ethnicities into a one nation concept uh
- 0:30the schooling system uh that is free
- 0:33medical help uh the sense of security uh
- 0:38they are all positive gestures as the
- 0:41economy and business has been moving and
- 0:43the infrastructure has been totally
- 0:47modernized the empowerment of women
- 0:50there's the secret weapon giving women
- 0:52power to influence within the communal
- 0:56scenario the national scenarios in a
- 0:59variety of the professions that will
- 1:01break the code everything from the
- 1:04home right through to the president's
- 1:08office there's now 56% of all elected
- 1:12officials in in Randa are
- 1:14women a high uh areas of responsibility
- 1:18in a government are women we also see an
- 1:21encouragement of the small economy their
- 1:24micro economy in villages where they are
- 1:26run by the women H and young girls are
- 1:29encouraged courage to engage and to
- 1:31learn the skills in order to pursue that
- 1:34I think the other one is seeing more and
- 1:36more girls getting higher education and
- 1:39that will give more empowerment of
- 1:40course I think it's right to commemorate
- 1:43the 20th anniversary of the genocide
- 1:46because we cannot let the genocide die
- 1:50it must remain a focal point uh of
- 1:55humanity and its failings uh that can go
- 1:58so catastrophic when people simply do
- 2:01not care and we will not permit Humanity
- 2:06to set up a pecking order where some
- 2:08humans are not as significant or as
- 2:12human as others we are all equal and in
- 2:15those scenarios those who are vulnerable
- 2:19need protection and it's our
- 2:20responsibility to give it
- 2:27[Music]
