0:34welcome back to another episode of
0:35grizzly True Crime my name is giz k and
0:38today we're going to be watching
0:39Chandler alderson's police interview
0:41together I'm also going to be recapping
0:43the case for you now some of you might
0:45be wondering why because we just watched
0:48the entire January 2022 trial of chander
0:51halderson together but I recently ran a
0:54poll when we had premiered part one and
0:57part two of his girlfriend of the times
0:59interviews name was Katherine melander
1:01so if you didn't see that check that out
1:02on the playlist and in that poll I
1:05realized that a large percentage of
1:07people had either never seen Chandler
1:09alderson's interview or they'd seen it
1:12but not all of it and they want to see
1:13it again so here we are but for those of
1:17you who are new to the case I know that
1:18we can't just like dive into it without
1:21you knowing what this case is about so
1:23what I did was I wrote a script yes look
1:25I have it here with me Grizzlies that
1:28are here with me no I don't usually
1:29write scripts but you know what I might
1:31just get into it because if I have
1:33something like this to read to you and
1:35it's got all the details that I don't
1:37want to miss that I can't just remember
1:38everything I do try I try to remember
1:40everything when I'm telling you but I
1:43just had to write some of this down
1:45because I don't want anyone that's like
1:46new to the case to miss any of these
1:48crazy details because this case is
1:51absolutely crazy it does come with a
1:53trigger warning it involves a
1:5523-year-old guy by the name of Chand La
1:57halderson who murdered his parents and
1:59dismembered them and all for what really
2:03for what because his lies were about to
2:05be exposed because he wanted life
2:08insurance money or what it's it's
2:10completely crazy so before we watch the
2:12police interview I'm going to be
2:14recapping the case for you if that's not
2:16something you want to see just skip to
2:18the next time stamp and then you can
2:20just skip right to the police interview
2:22we're going to watch the squad car ride
2:23if that's boring for you skip past that
2:25too go to the police interview but I
2:28would recommend watching the little
2:29mment after the police interview cuz I'm
2:31going to read you a portion of the
2:33criminal complaint where Chandler
2:35halderson tells police that he doesn't
2:37feel bad for what he did you know so
2:39everyone's been asking throughout the
2:40trial days where's that from because I'd
2:42read that portion throughout these long
2:44trial days and I want you to be able to
2:46have it right here on this video okay so
2:48I'm going to be reading this to you okay
2:50so if you see me looking down this is
2:51what I'm looking at and I just want to
2:54explain what happened here as best I can
2:57of course all the details and the
2:59biggest deep dive that you could ever
3:01have is on all the trial days which are
3:03def fluffed for you there's no coffee
3:05breaks no lunch breaks it's very
3:06efficient you can see every witness with
3:09a timestamps and I would just recommend
3:12checking it out if you want to know more
3:13about the case because the state did
3:15such an excellent job presenting the
3:17evidence and they only had six months to
3:19do so from the day of the murder to the
3:21day that the trial started was about 6
3:23months so what an amazing job they did
3:26at minimum please watch the opening
3:29statements they were so good okay so
3:32please note that this content is for

4:0150-year-old Bart halderson and
4:0353-year-old Christ halderson were last
4:05seen and heard from on July 1st of 2021
4:08in Windsor Wisconsin they had two sons
4:1124-year-old Mitch halderson who worked
4:13in it and 23-year-old chander halderson
4:16who pretended to work from home for
4:18American Family Insurance he also
4:20pretended to attend college MATC and he
4:23was also pretending that he got a job at
4:25SpaceX and would soon be moving to
4:26Florida with his
4:28girlfriend yeah pretending Ed to because
4:30none of that was true Mitch was engaged
4:33he'd moved out of the home and Chandler
4:36was living at home 23 years old and
4:38mostly playing video games now remember
4:41that this was during the time of the
4:43pandemic so working from home was not
4:46unusual in fact his dad bought worked
4:48from home quite a bit his mom was a
4:51receptionist at a car dealership so she
4:53would go out and work there but I think
4:57it actually helped Chan pretend even
5:00more than usual because he could just
5:02close his room door and then just play
5:05video games and create fake email
5:08addresses and just pretend that he was
5:10you know studying from home working from
5:12home and doing all the things that he
5:14said he was doing when he wasn't now in
5:17June of 2021 Mitch halderson was
5:20diagnosed with diabetes and his family
5:23gave him of course a lot of love and
5:26attention they were very concerned about
5:28him and Chan didn't like that he wanted
5:31all the attention on him so the first
5:34thing he did was he sent his brother a
5:36gift okay while his brother was in the
5:38hospital recovering you know getting all
5:40the checks done um Chandler sent him a
5:43bullet with the words get well soon on
5:46them which in hindsight is a huge red
5:48flag and a big threat you'll find out
5:50later why just based on Chandler's next
5:53actions he then decided to um throw
5:57himself down the stairs I don't know how
5:59else to say it he said he just fell down
6:01the stairs at the house and uh sprained
6:03his neck okay but then he told everyone
6:06that this injury was life altering that
6:10he had nerve damage he would need brain
6:12surgery he'd need a colostomy bag that
6:16just so much he added so much to that
6:19neck brain that it's unbelievable he
6:22even said that he lost his SpaceX job
6:25because of this injury you know cuz
6:28apparently they just so in tolerant they
6:30wouldn't take him while while while he
6:33was recovering so he then wore a neck
6:36brace for two weeks to get as much
6:40sympathy and attention on himself from
6:43his parents as possible you know taking
6:45attention away from Mitch now in the
6:48meantime in mid June a friend that
6:51Chandler had connected with online
6:53through online gaming actually drove
6:56from Kansas to Wisconsin to visit him
6:59the two of them had connected while this
7:01friend Andrew Smith was stationed in
7:03Germany he was in the US Army and so
7:06they would meet up online and play
7:09firsters shooter games and there
7:11Chandler told him all the lies as well
7:13that he got this job at Space six and
7:15was studying all the lies he shared to
7:16everyone everywhere it wasn't just lying
7:18to his parents he lied to everyone
7:20including his girlfriend but he told
7:22Andrew that his favorite weapon was an
7:25SKS rifle so because Andrew bought and
7:29and collected and traded and sold guns
7:31he thought you know what I have an SKS
7:33rifle at home and I'm not using it so
7:36I'm going to give this to my best friend
7:38this is going to be such a cool gift CU
7:40that's the thing that they connected on
7:43so when he visited him for two nights in
7:46June of 2021 he brought this gun now
7:48little did he know that Chandler
7:50halderson was so unhinged that just two
7:52weeks later he would use that gift to
7:56shoot his parents he shot his dad in the
7:58back they're not quite sure exactly how
8:00his mother died because they didn't find
8:04much of her you'll find out why just now
8:08but wow just two weeks later he killed
8:10his
8:11parents supposedly with that gun they
8:14know he shot bot his dad with that gun
8:16in the back like the coward he is now
8:18ironically on that day July 1st of 2021
8:22that's the day the chander harderson
8:24murdered his parents that was also the
8:26day that his dad had set up a meeting at
8:29300 p.m. with MATC so that he could now
8:33confront the situation whatever it would
8:35be you know because he'd found out that
8:38Chandler had not actually been attending
8:40college and so he wanted to have this
8:42meeting find out what was going on and
8:44get Chandler back you know on the right
8:47path I think he was trying to help him
8:50but at the time when that meeting was
8:51supposed to take place around that time
8:53is when Chandler killed his dad let me
8:56explain that by just rewinding quickly
8:58to June 29th of 2021 because that's part
9:03of the explanation for you know
9:05Chandler's motive for why he did what he
9:08did which was to avoid being confronted
9:11with all of these lies that he was
9:13telling to his parents and everyone else
9:15and it was also likely to gain a home
9:18not have to work and get some life
9:20insurance because his brother said the
9:22life insurance in the event that both
9:24his parents passed away would be about a
9:27million dollars and I don't know with
9:29Chandler sending that bullet to his
9:31brother was he going to take his brother
9:32out as well I don't know but I think he
9:34was eyeing the life insurance money the
9:36home not wanting to work ever and then
9:39also not being exposed for the stories
9:43that he had sold to everyone so on that
9:45day June 29th of
9:482021 Bart halderson actually called MATC
9:52to find out what the hell was going on
9:54because Chandler kept on postponing you
9:56know his college results like where are
9:58the results of all your qualifications
10:01what is happening why don't we get any
10:03feedback so he phoned MATC and pretended
10:06to be Chandler and on that call he
10:10actually learned that Chandler had not
10:12been attending college for over a year
10:15and he also owed the college
10:19$500 servic this Zar how may I help
10:23you hi um I'm trying to get an
10:26appointment scheduled to meet with
10:28somebody
10:30um to mainly just get a copy of a
10:33transcript and also a printed copy of a
10:37certificate that was earned and and you
10:40know other degree
10:41verification Bart terson's last recorded
10:44words were that'll be it then now how
10:47Bart found out about this and how that
10:50call even happened is because he started
10:52going through all the emails that he had
10:54received and that Chandler had received
10:56and he started trying to call the people
11:00listed with their phone numbers and
11:02realized many of those people don't
11:04actually work at MATC only wondered Omar
11:08job and he testified at the trial so
11:11maybe you want to check that out as well
11:14but that's the only real person in the
11:16emails that Chandler had sent to his dad
11:19for over a year the others Chandler
11:21created from his room he created like
11:25five different personas with phone
11:27numbers attached uh to a boner phone
11:30that he had in his you know in his desk
11:32drawer in his
11:34room and so all of that would also be
11:38exposed you know Chandler making up
11:41people who worked at MATC and American
11:44Family
11:46Insurance so when Bart found this out
11:49the last recorded words were that'll be
11:51it then and then he texted Chandler and
11:53said I spoke to Omar job which I'm sure
11:57at that point Chandler's heart just sank
11:59and and he's like oh crap because he
12:00would realize oh man my dad's on to me
12:03he would have found out now that I
12:04haven't actually been going there and
12:06Bart had told him that he had set up a
12:09meeting for 300 p.m. on July 1st of 2021
12:13so that impending meeting was probably
12:16going round and round in Chandler's mind
12:19and instead of just dealing with it
12:20instead of just telling his dad well yes
12:22okay I didn't do very well in the first
12:24term or semester in college and I
12:26dropped out and haven't actually been
12:27going there I've been lying
12:29he dealt with that by killing and
12:32dismembering his parents that's quite a
12:35leap that's insane now when he shot his
12:37dad in the basement of the home in the
12:40back and they know that from finding his
12:43torso later he actually took his phone
12:47and texted his mother and said Dad's
12:50phone died can you bring me some soda
12:54like when you come home from work
12:55because I have an extra hour of work can
12:59you imagine that there was no need to
13:01send that text except to maybe say dad's
13:04phone died cuz maybe at that point he
13:06switched his dad's phone off but the
13:08truth is dad died and I'm thirsty bring
13:13me a soda Christa's last text went to
13:17Chandler where she said K I can and she
13:22brought him that soda she pulled into
13:24the house at 512 p.m. on July 1st of
13:272021 and police believe that he shot her
13:30also in the basement shortly after that
13:32his parents would have died not really
13:36knowing the full extent of his lies and
13:38can you imagine his mother coming home
13:40and him luring her to the basement and
13:43maybe even seeing her husband deceased
13:45in the basement I mean that is just that
13:47is
13:48horrifying so what chanler did next is
13:52where this case took a massive turn
13:55because that's already bad enough the
13:56story could end there it's terrible
13:59however he not only murdered his parents
14:02in their beautiful home and totally
14:05betrayed their trust but he then
14:07proceeded to dismember them and Scatter
14:11The Remains all over Wisconsin that
14:14weekend and he did that all while
14:16keeping up appearances with his
14:19girlfriend with her family with the
14:21neighbors with his brother with worried
14:23co-workers who were wondering where
14:24Christa was and just telling everyone a
14:27huge lie that his parents had gone up to
14:30their cabin they had a cabin up north
14:32which was near Sawyer Lake and they went
14:34there regularly but usually they would
14:36let people know and Chandler said no
14:39this was a spontaneous trip and actually
14:41friends picked them up and that all he
14:43knows is that they took liquor silver
14:46bars tools and a lot of cash and he
14:49thinks that they went gambling and they
14:50just having the best time there up north
14:54at their cabin and he kept that light
14:56going for a few days in fact he ran out
14:58of time really on July 7th of 2021
15:01because at that point he was forced to
15:03report them missing because of the
15:05amount of people that were so worried
15:06about them and you might wonder well how
15:08did he keep up that lie well he texted
15:11himself from his mother's phone saying
15:14we've arrived safely at the cabin and
15:16we're going to see the parade and he
15:18sent that to himself on July 4th of 2021
15:21but police quickly realized well the
15:23parade was on July 3rd so that's already
15:25a huge red flag and when you watch this
15:27police interview you'll see Chandler
15:29trying to cover for that lie cuz he's
15:31like yeah that was fishy why would they
15:34text me on the fourth when the parade
15:35was on the third so he realized later
15:38that he made a big mistake doing that
15:41okay but let's first go over some
15:43details of what he did so on July 1st of
15:462021 right after murdering his parents
15:48he hopped in the shower and facetimed
15:51his girlfriend now apparently they did
15:52that quite regularly but he just carried
15:54on as if nothing had happened which in
15:57hindsight must be so scary
15:59to think of that call Chandler halderson
16:02standing in the shower after he had just
16:04murdered his parents now his girlfriend
16:07the time Katherine Bena said that she
16:08noticed that he was a little bit tired
16:10but she didn't see anything different or
16:13strange about his demeanor she said that
16:15he was joking around with her like he
16:16always did and they were talking about
16:18their plans of meeting up for the
16:20weekend what's interesting is for the
16:22two weeks leading up to the murders
16:25Chandler had told Catherine that he was
16:27grounded and couldn't see her and yes 23
16:30years old grounded and couldn't see her
16:32I wonder what that was all about I
16:35wonder how long he was really planning
16:37these murders or what he was doing he'
16:40apparently told his friend Andrew Smith
16:42that he actually planned to break up
16:43with Katherine Melinda and he apparently
16:46cheated on her quite a bit in the past
16:48so yeah he's just a horrible I don't
16:51even want to say person is he really a
16:52person a human being I don't know he's a
16:54horrible creature all the way
16:57around he then went to buy two bags of
17:00ice and he was seen on surveillance no
17:03longer wearing his neck brace now he was
17:05fine he didn't need help with anything
17:07he could even carry heavy things which
17:09that must have been a shock for
17:10Katherine and everyone else to see at
17:12the trial because a lot of evidence was
17:14being gathered in the six months before
17:16the trial a lot of people really get
17:19snarky at Katherine and kind of writer
17:21off was still speaking to Chandler while
17:23he was in the jail after he was arrested
17:25but I mean evidence Gathering took time
17:28and it was all really presented at the
17:30trial that must have been a huge shock
17:32to everyone to realize not only that he
17:35killed and dismembered his parents but
17:38also they didn't ever have the job at
17:40SpaceX you know when you saw Katherine
17:42menander's mom on the stand it seemed to
17:44me like she still believed in all the
17:46other lives like the jobs that he had
17:48and you know these parents weren't very
17:50nice to him and he was he got this
17:53apartment in Florida and he was going to
17:54move there with her daughter Katherine
17:56like you know I think a lot of this took
17:59time to process that he just lied about
18:01everything when he got home after buying
18:03those two bags of ice he tried to burn
18:06his parents remains in the fireplace at
18:09the home like a dumbass if you follow
18:11True Crime cases you know that that's
18:13not possible doesn't get hot enough okay
18:16like this guy but he also had a
18:19measuring tape and all sorts of ss and
18:23lots of tools from the
18:26garage to cut the perfect sizes of
18:30remains so that he could just put them
18:31in the fireplace he apparently burnt his
18:35parents' heads in the fireplace and he
18:37also put fans in front of the fireplace
18:39to make sure it got extra hot and he
18:42apparently poured an accelerant on there
18:44as well which police think could be the
18:46alcohol that he reports the parents took
18:48to the cabin they found over 100 bone
18:51fragments from his parents remains in
18:54the ash trap at the home and that
18:57included teeth and skull fragments and
19:02neck vertebrae and you know remains from
19:05the their hands so he burnt his parents
19:07heads and hands in this fireplace for
19:11hours and you need to check out the
19:13trial to see that full fire presentation
19:16that is so Eerie where a neighbor's
19:18camera actually could see the window
19:21just glowing throughout the night you
19:23know as he was burning their remains in
19:26the
19:27fireplace but then he realized realized
19:29that this plan wasn't really going to
19:30work I think the process was too slow
19:33and also one of the glass panes had
19:35shattered which led to the home being
19:38filled with smoke and also yeah the
19:41remains weren't going to burn the way
19:42that he thought that they would so he
19:45then decided that he would need to
19:46scatter the rest of them in different
19:49locations they never found all of their
19:51remains which is very sad now that
19:54weekend that's what he did of course
19:55while doing many other things to again
19:57keep up appearances on Friday July 2nd
20:00of 2021 he actually invited his
20:02girlfriend to come over he asked her to
20:04bring hydron peroxide and a Swiffer
20:06because he said he'd hurt his toe on
20:08this glass you know that had broken the
20:11one of the paines on the fireplace and
20:13he said it's because he was throwing a
20:15ball for the dog and the dog get smashed
20:17into this glass pane so shame he blamed
20:19the dog he also called the dogs you'll
20:21hear it throughout the interview the
20:23girls so that might annoy you there's a
20:25spoiler alert for you he's going to say
20:26the girls a lot in this police interview
20:28about to see because um he that's how
20:31you refer to them but yet he blamed them
20:33for you know breaking the glass when
20:36really it was him and what he was
20:39doing so his girlfriend being worried
20:42about this tow hole that he said he had
20:44and how much blood he said was just all
20:46over the house brought the Swiffer in a
20:48hydron peroxide bottle and she slept
20:52over and they slept in this couch for in
20:55the living room that night why because
20:58he wanted a keep keep a close eye on her
20:59he didn't want her to tiptoe down to the
21:01basement to get some ice cream out of
21:03the chest freezer no because his parents
21:06remains were in there see that's what he
21:08needed the ice for as well I wonder if
21:10he also kept them elsewhere I don't know
21:11apparently everything very Sinister was
21:13in the basement and right there that
21:16fireplace also big red flag however the
21:19couch fought yes at age 23 the couch
21:22fought that he made was right there in
21:24front of the fireplace and Chad also
21:27just explained that way you know the
21:28Smoky smell using the fireplace in July
21:33and because she had believed everything
21:35that he had ever told her I mean there
21:36was no reason for her to jump to the
21:38conclusion that wait a minute he's lying
21:41something's up here he must have
21:42dismembered his parents uh bodies and
21:45put them in the fireplace no one's going
21:46to jump to that conclusion now on the
21:48Saturday he told her that he was doing
21:50chores when what he was really doing was
21:53scattering his mother's remains along
21:55the Wisconsin River investigators
21:58believe that they probably put her arms
22:01and torso in the Wisconsin River and the
22:04current's very strong and they tried to
22:05have divers in there to look for it but
22:08they never found the rest of Christa
22:10halderson in fact they only ever found
22:13her legs a full right leg and half a
22:17left leg and some bone fragments in the
22:19ash trap at the home it was actually
22:21because of Chanda halon's girlfriend
22:23Katherine melander taking a screenshot
22:26of a Snapchat location where where
22:28Chandler was which was at this like
22:31favorite swimming place you know he was
22:33a swimmer apparently in high school
22:35everyone said he was quite a good
22:36swimmer and he liked to go swim there at
22:39the spot um along the Wisconsin River
22:42and so that's where she saw him on
22:44Saturday morning at 8 in the morning and
22:46she's like that's weird why why is he
22:48lying to me again is he cheating on me
22:49I'm taking a screenshot and she gave
22:51that to the police and they went to look
22:54in that area and that's where they
22:56discovered Christ's partial remains on
22:58Sunday the 4th of July of 2021 Chandler
23:01texted himself from his mother's phone
23:03to say that they'd arrived safely at the
23:05cabin and then they were going to this
23:06parade and we already know that that was
23:08a huge mistake which you'll see in the
23:09police interview him covering his own
23:11ass he wrapped his parents' phones in
23:15paper towels and also layers of foil and
23:19he put their driver's licenses in
23:20between the phones and then he stashed
23:23that little parcel in one of his
23:24mother's shoes that's another really
23:26weird thing that he did many people
23:28people throughout the trial coverage
23:29asked well why would he not just throw
23:30their phones away you know in the trash
23:33in the river or something like that but
23:34I think it's because he had future plans
23:37to pretend that they had been kidnapped
23:40or asking for ransom or who knows what
23:43cuz that is a very strange move and if
23:46you do some research on you know
23:47wrapping phones in foil and all of that
23:49it could actually work for them not to
23:52be detected but of course the detectives
23:55were digging through everything at the
23:57house at the time when he was
23:59the prime suspect and they had the
24:01search warrants they needed to really
24:03pick apart everything in the house and
24:04find all the evidence that they needed
24:06to charge him with eight different
24:08counts of the most Sinister things that
24:11they of course found that little parcel
24:13in his mother's shoes but that is so
24:15weird that he did that now that
24:17afternoon July 4th of 2021 Chandler went
24:20with his girlfriend to her mother dol's
24:24fiance's Farm property which was in
24:26Cottage Grove where they had a late
24:29lunch together and they took a stroll on
24:31the property which that sounded like
24:33they didn't often do that it's like he
24:34wanted to go for a walk and look at the
24:36berries and look at the wood line and
24:38check out the chicken Coupe and really
24:40he was sussing out the property because
24:43he had
24:45plans you know for the next day and wait
24:47till you hear what that was so he was
24:50still lying to Katherine his girlfriend
24:52about his symptoms you know from his
24:54neck injury and she was trying to
24:56nurture him and help him and so she
24:58suggested that he swim in this above the
25:01ground pool on the property so that he
25:04could have some sort of like Physical
25:06Therapy maybe that would help his injury
25:08it would be like you know low impact
25:10sort of training and so he swam that day
25:15and I think by scoping out the property
25:17and having a swim he came up with a
25:20horrible plan now that evening he'd
25:23actually said to his mother's coworker
25:26Dan who was very worried about Christa
25:28and had been to the house literally
25:30knocked on the door and Chandler
25:31answered the door and came out in his
25:32tail and he talked about his freaking
25:34toe injury and just said no his parents
25:37are they went to their cabin up north
25:39and he's trying to buy himself time
25:40because obviously people are like
25:41Christa would never be a noshow for work
25:44she was supposed to work on July 2nd so
25:46he knew he's got got to kind of you know
25:48keep his enemy close so to speak that
25:52Dan was a little bit suspicious about
25:55things so he decided to befriend him and
25:57say that he would like to come over and
26:00watch the 4th of July fireworks with him
26:02so Chandler and cat went over to Dan's
26:04house and watched the fireworks with him
26:07and took him a bottle of wine and I
26:10think that bought him a little bit of
26:12time while he's also expressing you know
26:13concern about yeah he doesn't think his
26:17parents are like missing missing at this
26:19point but he'll just keep an eye on it
26:20and keep Dan in the loop the next day
26:23Katherine went to work remember CH
26:25didn't work Katherine worked and so on
26:27July 5th of 2021 uh Chandler returned to
26:31that Cottage Grove property alone so to
26:35his girlfriend's mother's fiance's
26:37property who he wasn't very close to he
26:40arrived there alone in the afternoon I
26:42think it was around 4:30 p.m. and Chris
26:45the owner was very surprised like what
26:47is he doing here she was working in the
26:49garden and she's like okay hi like how
26:52are you what is happening and he just
26:54said you know he's got like brain fog
26:56and he's struggling with numbers and
26:58he's getting lost and she's like okay
26:59and he's like can I use the pool so she
27:02said sure you know he said that his
27:05girlfriend suggested that he used the
27:07pool for like physical therapy and so
27:10there he was saying can I use the pool
27:12and she's like okay so she let him in
27:15and then she let her fiance know and DOL
27:17was so worried like what why why is he
27:19there alone that she raced over there
27:22also because she knew that her fiance
27:24the property owner liked to swim topless
27:26and just walk around her property
27:28toplist and she was very worried about
27:29Chandler seeing that so she went over
27:32there so now the two ladies are sitting
27:34there looking at Chandler being like
27:36what what what's happening and so he
27:38told them a very big so story that his
27:41parents weren't very nice to him that he
27:43lost his job at spax that he had a
27:46doctor's appointment earlier that day
27:48and you know it was a grim diagnosis
27:51things were not looking good for him and
27:53he just didn't know what to do so they
27:55sat at the table in the house drinking
27:58coffee and coming up with a plan to help
28:01this poor guy meanwhile he said while
28:05you do that okay come up with a plan to
28:08save my life get me out of this mess cuz
28:12they felt sorry for him okay he's like
28:14I'm going to go swim so they said okay
28:17cool he was gone for an hour to an hour
28:21and a half is what they estimate and you
28:24will not believe what he did during that
28:26time and and after that time chis and do
28:30were like what is he doing it's taking
28:32so long let's go out there so they got
28:34on a little lawn mower and they went out
28:36to the pool they saw the pool cover was
28:38still on no one was swimming like where
28:40the hell was Chandler and they saw but
28:42his father's vehicle that he arrived in
28:44his parked there by the barn what's he
28:47doing there they went to the vehicle
28:49they couldn't see any sign of Chanda and
28:51they're like huh I don't know what he's
28:52doing who knows if he's like smoking
28:54weed in the woods or what he's doing but
28:55surely it'll come out soon so they went
28:57to the took off the cover and got in and
29:00Chris true to form she was swimming
29:03topless then Chandler comes walking out
29:07from that general area he's wearing
29:10board shorts and he walks up to the pool
29:12and says can I swim and DOL was like
29:15really uncomfortable because her fiance
29:17was topless like oh and chis said I
29:19don't mind I don't mind I don't care so
29:21Chandler got in the pool and remember
29:24that he was a swimmer so swimmers
29:26normally if you get in the pool you're
29:27going to get get in even though his neck
29:29was a little injured and just dip your
29:30head under or something but no he was
29:32washing his body he was washing his arms
29:35washing his chest washing himself off it
29:37looked like he was having a damn bath in
29:39that pool and not really
29:40swimming now in
29:43hindsight that's got to haunt them that
29:45is terrible cuz guess what he was really
29:47doing he had driven his father's vehicle
29:51parked it close to the barn opened the
29:54boot which I think you guys call the
29:56trunk in America
29:59and rolled out like a wheelie bin a bin
30:03with a tarp inside and his father's
30:06torso he wheeled that bin into the woods
30:09pulled the tarp out with his dad's torso
30:13moved his dad's torso covered it with
30:16sticks left the tarp there left the bin
30:19there probably because he ran out of
30:20time or he didn't want them to see him
30:22Wheeling the bin back to the vehicle I
30:23don't know if he was going to go back
30:24for it or what then he unloaded a whole
30:29stash of tools that he used to dismember
30:33his parents remains with and put them in
30:36this old oil drum on the property still
30:38stained with his parents' blood he also
30:42threw away a bag of bloody rags and it
30:45still had a receipt with his
30:47girlfriend's name on it cuz it was a
30:49Target bag from a pickup that she did
30:51when she brought him dinner on the
30:52Friday
30:53night so that's terrible that he would
30:57just her name on it you know in case it
30:59gets found or something he also hid the
31:03murder weapon in the barn he hid it well
31:06to the point where police when they
31:07searched that whole property didn't find
31:09that rifle Crest the owner of the
31:12property found it in October reported to
31:14the police and they came and got it so
31:17yes after being in the wood line and
31:19fiddling with his farest torso he got in
31:22the pool and washed himself off from
31:26touching the remains
31:28that's what they have to think back to
31:31oh man okay so after the swim he
31:34apparently got out the pool he said
31:35thanks a lot and offie went and he went
31:37to cat's house or cat's mother's house
31:39and they had dinner together now over
31:41the next few days Chandler had driven
31:43around quite far north as well uh in
31:47Wisconsin and yet they didn't find any
31:49evidence there but he was probably
31:51scattering more of his parents' remains
31:53in those areas and on July 7th uh being
31:56pressured by every everybody around him
31:59chanler decided okay it's time to report
32:01his parents missing and tell the police
32:02the lie that his parents went up to the
32:06cabin so he stuck with that story the
32:10police were already like what you know
32:13cuz it was first a missing person's
32:15investigation and all the news coverage
32:18and everything was about these missing
32:19parents who got picked up by some random
32:22couple in a car that nobody knew what it
32:24was and they went up to the cabin and
32:26they just disappeared so this could have
32:28been really anything but police very
32:32quickly zoned in on Chandler especially
32:34because on July 7th of 2021 they came to
32:37the house and he was walking them
32:38through the house trying to control
32:40everything of course and telling them
32:41about his toe injury and the blood that
32:44was everywhere that he cleaned up
32:46telling them the story about the
32:47fireplace and just saying things that
32:50they thought that's a lot of detail it's
32:52pretty sus they then started canvasing
32:55the neighborhood and getting
32:56surveillance footage from The Neighbors
32:59which Chandler then realized oh crap
33:00they're going to go and ask neighbors
33:02things so on July 8th of 2021 the first
33:05thing he did was in the morning was go
33:06to the neighbors houses and literally
33:10knock on the door or ring their Bell and
33:13say
33:14hey do you happen to have surveillance
33:17cameras and they're like some of them
33:18say yes oh what can they see and he's
33:20like measuring to see go check it out on
33:22the trial footage I think day two FY
33:25security system I was wondering if you
33:28were able to capture the road or my
33:30house um the the police actually came
33:33and and downloaded everything they have
33:35it's actually my sister's house oh okay
33:38yeah so they were
33:39here I think till like 9:00 last night
33:42and downloaded all the video she's got
33:44so we're hoping that yeah did it capture
33:47anything on we don't know we don't know
33:49they just took a copy of everything and
33:52so we're
33:53hoping wiing the lens yeah and it's all
33:57able to
33:58yeah and it's all HD and then I think
34:00there's one um especially in the dark it
34:02looks like it has a little bit of night
34:04vision yeah and there's one on the uh
34:08the corner of the garage too yeah he was
34:10trying to sus out oh crap what could The
34:12Neighbors cameras
34:14see so even those interactions I don't
34:18know it just it's very Sinister to watch
34:20that as well now that afternoon the
34:23police which is only the day after his
34:26parents were reported missing the police
34:28and Channel's brother actually went up
34:30north to the cabin along Sawyer Lake
34:33there to check you know if the cabin had
34:37even been visited that weekend and they
34:39realized the grass was long it wasn't
34:41like pushed down or driven over there's
34:44a certain log there that hadn't been
34:45moved and the parents really hadn't been
34:47there they could tell no one has been
34:48here for quite some time so that's a lie
34:51and while they were out there the police
34:54from chandless area were supposed to
34:57also come out out and search but they
34:58told the police locally there that they
35:00don't going to they're not coming out
35:02it's just them searching just search it
35:04thoroughly and the reason was because at
35:07around 300 p.m. on July 8th of 2021 the
35:11police had discovered Bart terson's
35:13torso they had gone out to that farm
35:15because they spoke to obviously cat they
35:17spoke to Dolce they spoke to chis they
35:19spoke to neighbors they spoke to Mitch
35:21the brother everyone they could Dan Mary
35:24right to get information the hilund
35:25dorfs the best friends of the halers
35:28they were gathering information and they
35:30realized oh so Chandler had been to to
35:33this Farm property over the weekend and
35:35C said well yeah he was somewhere there
35:37at the back near the Woodline I'm not
35:39too sure what he was doing so they went
35:40straight there they saw tracks in the
35:42grass where he had driven they went into
35:45the wood line and there they discovered
35:47something that they were they weren't
35:48too sure when they first saw like what
35:50is that what are we looking at and they
35:53realized it was a male's torso with gun
35:57shot wounds in the back and so it
35:59obviously took a few days to identify
36:01who those who those remains were and it
36:04turned out to be Bart halderson it took
36:07until July 14th to discover Christa
36:10halderson partial remains which as we
36:12know were her legs and in the meantime
36:16that same day Katherine Melinda and
36:18Chandler halderson were taken to the
36:20police station and they were questioned
36:22Katherine more because they wanted as
36:24much information about Chandler as
36:26possible but obviously also to you know
36:28eliminate her as a suspect a Chandler oh
36:31man on that day they just let him tell
36:34all the lies to his heart's content
36:36until at the end watch that part where
36:39where they literally like we're not
36:41bsing you okay we know that your parents
36:43are no longer alive we know what you did
36:46and so he's like lawyer right so you
36:50will see that so it's on the same day as
36:53this police interview that you're going
36:54to see that Chandler halderson was
36:55initially charged with lying in to the
36:58police about a missing person's
37:00investigation on July 14th is when they
37:02discovered Christ's partial remains and
37:04on July 15th Chandler was charged with
37:07the first-degree murder of both of his
37:09parents hiding a corpse mutilating a
37:12corpse and of course still the lying to
37:14police so eight counts and he was found
37:16guilty on all those counts in January of
37:192022 which is when his trial took place
37:21and he was sentenced to life without
37:23Parole in March of 2022 and then he had
37:26an app attorney you know who was going
37:29to file an appeal and that attorney
37:30actually filed a no merit report saying
37:33there are no grounds for an appeal so
37:35Chandler wrote an eight-page letter to
37:37the judge you know asking him to look at
37:41his case or overturn his conviction or
37:43whatever but that really went nowhere
37:46there are no grounds for an appeal so
37:47Chandler holders will be in the Dodge
37:49correctional institute where Chris wats
37:51also is for the rest of his life life
37:55without parole was his sentence okay so
37:58now I hope that those of you who are new
38:00to the case or just wanted that
38:01refresher of majority of the facts of
38:04course there's so much more if you watch
38:06the trial I hope that you feel like you
38:08know a little bit about it and now we
38:10can go into the squad car ride and this
38:11police interview with that knowledge I
38:14would recommend checking out the
38:15playlist where you will find all the
38:17trial footage there were nine days of
38:19trial it's not even that long you can
38:20catch up so quick and then you could
38:22just jump to the witnesses that you want
38:24to see testify I would highly recommend
38:27checking out the hundorf which were Bart
38:29and Christ's family friends their
38:31testimonies were great obviously Andrew
38:34Smith the guy that gave chanler
38:36halderson the gun and then his
38:38girlfriend the time Katherine melinder
38:39she's very very different to how you saw
38:41her in the police interviews if you
38:43didn't see that check out part one and
38:44two you know it just I think I think all
38:48the evidence just really hit her and she
38:51apparently stopped talking to Chandler
38:52about two months before the trial and
38:53has never spoken to him again so
38:57it's very sad to see her bubbly nature
39:01just she was just so obviously somber at
39:04the trial and she cried during her
39:06testimony as well so check that out too
39:07and then of course all the expert
39:08testimonies all the passionate
39:10detectives that worked on this case it
39:12was a really great trial to to watch
39:15together so thank you to all of you who
39:16did watch that with me okay so now we've
39:18come to the part where we're actually
39:20going to watch the squad car ride and
39:22cherson being like am I a suspect like
39:25you know he was he was very on Edge I
39:28think he he had a hunch that something
39:29was going on they've caught on they
39:32found something and yet still in the
39:35police interview he lies and lies and
39:37lies until those lies you know reach its
39:40expiration date and he is cuffed so you
39:44will see that and then follow the time
39:46stamps especially if you don't want to
39:47watch the squad car right follow the
39:49time stamps they are in the pinned
39:50comments and in the description box or
39:52you can just hover over the video you'll
39:53see the natural breaks you know the the
39:56points that I've made for you the
39:57chapters if you will and also right
40:00after the police interview I'm just
40:01going to read you the portion where
40:02Chandler says that he doesn't feel bad
40:04for what he did from the criminal

1:09:01injured um but he was mad he didn't
1:09:06really talk to me too much that
1:09:09day uh my mom got home at 5: I believe

1:09:195:30 what time does she work you know

1:09:24hours but when she leaves at

1:09:29then all the way up till 5:00 and she

1:10:47you were injured what type of injury did
1:10:49I got a pretty deep hole in my foot uh
1:10:52last night Mary looked at it and she
1:10:53said the reason it keeps bleeding is cuz
1:10:56there's glass in it oh that's the you
1:10:58showed us your to yeah I showed the

1:11:49two and then the rest he didn't really
1:11:52talk to me I went back to doing doing

1:12:07of the jobs I liked um then 5:00 rolled
1:12:11up by and we M came home um

1:13:07outside she just kind of walked in I was
1:13:09I was wondering was when you were
1:13:11getting your wallet uh no we were we
1:13:14were um I was in the car waiting to
1:13:16leave I was just wondering if
1:13:18everything's okay cuz she said
1:13:20Something's Happened okay and we need to
1:13:23go down all right I'll find find out
1:13:25what that's about well has anything bad
1:13:28happened not sure all right so so
1:13:32Wednesday night mom comes home um Dad
1:13:34was angry was was he yelling or what was
1:13:38how how would you describe dad being
1:13:39angry it
1:13:41was if you he would yell if you said
1:13:46something to him I guess if you talk to
1:13:48him if you give him his space he'll be
1:13:51okay so Wednesday night Wednesday if
1:13:55just give him his
1:13:57space that's all we did just give him
1:13:59his space he he wouldn't yell or do
1:14:02anything
1:14:04okay that's all we had to do um just m
1:14:08and I went to clean the do some
1:14:12laundry uh make our
1:14:16beds stuff like that who's we m i your
1:14:21mom okay
1:14:25that was Wednesday night yeah that was
1:14:27we had an early night no no TV that
1:14:30night Goa
1:14:34um what time did your parents go to bed
1:14:36Wednesday night do you think I was in
1:14:39bed at 8 I yeah

1:14:49um I couldn't tell you when they went to
1:14:51bed okay no worries and you were down
1:14:55stairs that's where you've been sleeping

1:15:14downstairs why have you been sleeping

1:15:17bathroom the bathroom's right there need
1:15:19to be close cuz stairs I I can't see too

1:15:26gotcha and just like last night I'm

1:15:30doesn't mean one thing is more important
1:15:31than the other it just means that I need
1:15:33to remember stuff and understand

1:16:13we he likes the when we cook I okay does
1:16:19he ever cook I haven't seen him cook oh
1:16:22he grills he he likes to grill he
1:16:24grilled on Thursday
1:16:27nice all right I think I told one
1:16:31officer that green
1:16:33egg he got um it makes terrible food but
1:16:39yeah Dad does yeah oh the Green Egg
1:16:42itself oh the Green Egg that's like a
1:16:43grill or something yeah it's insulated
1:16:46and makes everything Smokey oh
1:16:49okay um it's Thursday morning
1:16:54wake
1:16:59up what time is that 6 okay
1:17:04dogs we talked about that yesterday 6
1:17:06a.m. is kind of your deal right 6 a.m.
1:17:09yep the internal clock now yeah I
1:17:12haven't used thing in a
1:17:18while I don't have any
1:17:21breakfast so I kind of just stay in my
1:17:24room on my pH
1:17:25phone um help my mom out getting
1:17:30ready in the morning she she left for
1:17:33work at
1:17:357:30 I got
1:17:38her um whatever she had to do what was
1:17:45it this is just meaningless tasks like
1:17:48just
1:17:50daily like pillowcase changes and Sheet
1:17:54changes es stuff like that you know in
1:17:56the morning before work yeah that's what
1:18:01we always do
1:18:05um then she's
1:18:11gone uh my dad starts the grill around
1:18:158:39 in the morning yeah to get the
1:18:18temperature
1:18:21right was she working from home that day
1:18:24or yes
1:18:27okay
1:18:29we um we ate the grill nothing really
1:18:32happened between that we kind of either
1:18:34were outside with the dogs from the
1:18:37lighting of the
1:18:38grill him going in taking a couple
1:18:42calls now and then or emails or
1:18:45something but we just kind of watched
1:18:47the grill and waited to get it set
1:18:48steady at uh hamburgers for 350 is okay
1:18:57then so yeah we just kind of
1:19:01waited for the
1:19:03burgers
1:19:05um and then we had we ate noon
1:19:14:30 or 12:30 sorry
1:19:17sure
1:19:19um then we went inside and had our TV
1:19:24show again Wheel of Fortune it's always
1:19:26on around our time for
1:19:28lunch or was it Family Feud that Family
1:19:32Feud was
1:19:33Thursday family cute
1:19:37um where did you guys watch that at
1:19:39downst same okay did you guys have a TV
1:19:42upstairs I don't remember no no okay
1:19:46not
1:19:53um sorry I'm really trying to the memory
1:19:56um that's
1:19:58why then yeah we went to go do our own
1:20:02things I went back to a little bit more
1:20:05job searching this time I branched into
1:20:07the forest instead of just Windsor
1:20:10looking he went back to work we
1:20:14planned
1:20:21on something went well
1:20:27oh we
1:20:34were I don't know something went well
1:20:36for him so that's
1:20:40all
1:20:43um then we were hanging out again my M
1:20:46texts
1:20:55um I I I believe I text her everything's
1:20:57going well uh his phone died my dad he
1:21:01he
1:21:02didn't he just kind of like charged it
1:21:05put it on the
1:21:06dock and left
1:21:09it
1:21:10um then we just kind of hung out and my
1:21:13ma gets home and I uh start the I start
1:21:18shrimp scampy for my dad cuz that's what
1:21:21he wanted but we didn't have shrimp so I
1:21:23I made shrimp was
1:21:26scampy
1:21:32um that's that's where they told me
1:21:34while we were eating it they they were
1:21:36going to go with their friends and I was
1:21:38like oh
1:21:40cool um and they said they were going
1:21:45cabin yeah well we're going up north
1:21:48that's how they refer to it who said
1:21:50that Mom or Dad ma my my dad doesn't
1:21:53talk well you
1:21:55okay um so there we are at Thursday
1:21:59dinner up north of the cabin my dad says
1:22:02I'll need a set for pipe repair and
1:22:06gas so I'm like all
1:22:09right I grabbed the pipe repair stuff
1:22:12from his um Plumbing chest or plumbing
1:22:16plumbing box it's like a tote of what
1:22:19you need for pipe repair mhm
1:22:25um and
1:22:28two whatever Jerry cans I I can't
1:22:32remember the
1:22:33amount but they're red with the safety
1:22:38nozzles got those squared away they had
1:22:42most of their duffles already packed at
1:22:44that point M and we all just started
1:22:46bringing them down to the mud room with
1:22:49the shoes by the garage where you show
1:22:52me
1:22:56um after that we
1:22:59watched
1:23:04uh what was that there a Netflix
1:23:08original um you know seven underground
1:23:11with they thrill seeking
1:23:15like it's like they they fake their
1:23:18deaths and they they fly airplanes and
1:23:22um they like fight at of evil of the
1:23:25World by being
1:23:27ghosts pretty cool I don't think I've
1:23:30seen that one yet who was watching that
1:23:33the three of us all three of you okay
1:23:35all three and that put it at 9 they had
1:23:39their
1:23:40drinks
1:23:43um went to my computer my computer was
1:23:46at that that black table we said it sure
1:23:49you saw the stuff um
1:23:54played played a video game called
1:23:57tarov for till
1:24:01midnight well after midnight maybe even
1:24:05kind of lose track of time and my
1:24:08parents by then were asleep got their
1:24:10teethbrush and
1:24:13everything
1:24:16um then I got I got
1:24:20upstairs oh that was Thursday yeah so I
1:24:23did
1:24:24so we got the bed all set before they
1:24:27before we played tarov and that's when I
1:24:30crawled into bed from the the black
1:24:34table so after our movie we set up my my
1:24:37couch bed and um the pillows for the
1:24:41girls who helped you set the bed up my
1:24:44dad dad okay yes he knew he was leaving
1:24:46and I would need
1:24:49that
1:24:51um Friday morning
1:24:55I woke up they had left with the stuff
1:24:59was all set out they remembered the
1:25:03gas um I found the the the folding
1:25:08chairs that they wanted to bring but
1:25:11they never brought them I'm assuming
1:25:13they can fit them they're
1:25:16big so I put those away
1:25:22um that was Friday morning I go
1:25:26upstairs do the dog or feed the
1:25:29dogs it was around 6ish not 6:15 when I
1:25:34woke up I was a little late that day
1:25:366:15 Friday
1:25:38okay uh just when I looked at my phone
1:25:44mhm
1:25:45dogs saw my Ma's note the insurance for
1:25:50my
1:25:52appointment I just
1:25:55ate whatever is on the counter I think
1:25:57it was
1:26:03cornbread where was the note from your
1:26:06mom that was on the the kitchen like
1:26:09there's a peninsula yeah with the
1:26:11insurance stacked up but I I moved it to
1:26:14the table
1:26:18okay and then those Insurance CS were
1:26:20there also that we saw yesterday yeah
1:26:23okay um I don't think she knew which one
1:26:26I would
1:26:27need but I have three now mhm
1:26:37um okay Friday yeah I hung out with cat
1:26:42Friday night I believe would you do
1:26:44Friday during the day oh oh yeah we just
1:26:47work backwards
1:26:53um I got of [ __ ] the day away play video
1:26:56games okay parents are gone why not
1:27:00right yeah I didn't do anything that I
1:27:03should have I should have been cleaning
1:27:05and all of
1:27:08that the house seemed pretty clean when
1:27:11I was there you see all the dog hair
1:27:13that that's got to be gone comes along
1:27:15with it right
1:27:17yeah all right so Friday during the day
1:27:20just played video games kind of yeah
1:27:23then after work I believe that was the
1:27:27day cat came over after whose work cat
1:27:30she is her work five is her when she was
1:27:34off believe she came
1:27:39over
1:27:43um so she's on her own five okay do the
1:27:46cat came at 5 you say I don't think she
1:27:49went straight herea I I believe she came
1:27:53over um
1:27:54it could have been later like 6 maybe
1:27:56give her time for like getting
1:27:58Clos
1:28:06um was after work you say she work at
1:28:11she works downtown Middleton is a farm
1:28:14Tech okay she um I believe she stayed
1:28:18with me on that couch that night
1:28:24so she spent the night
1:28:25over
1:28:32yeah you guys both slept on the couch
1:28:34downstairs
1:28:37yeah
1:28:39um what' you do before you went to bed
1:28:42that was Friday
1:28:46night that might have been my own night
1:28:49I might be wrong I'm wrong okay I think
1:28:51I spent that night alone I just kind of
1:28:53G
1:28:55online with some my friends oh is that
1:28:59Saturday night I'm so sorry guys I no
1:29:02wores man so one night I GED alone all
1:29:08night one night cat spent the night on
1:29:12the
1:29:13couch oh and Sunday she spent the night
1:29:15in my bed with me she helped me up
1:29:18stairs suay night Sunday night I know
1:29:21that
1:29:22because she didn't want to spend another
1:29:25night on the couch bed she didn't like
1:29:29it and she went to work on Monday
1:29:31morning so that was my bed night we um
1:29:37backtracking one night she spent on the
1:29:40couch with me with like the couch bed
1:29:44we've made mhm but one night I gamed all
1:29:48night or all day and night pretty much
1:29:52and I'm pretty sure that was
1:29:56Friday night and let's go with Saturday
1:29:59was my night alone
1:30:02okay so Friday we believe she came over
1:30:06yes and then Saturday was the game night
1:30:10yes so backtracking to
1:30:13Friday when she came
1:30:16by
1:30:19we um actually we just uh um oh bright
1:30:25no not bright um there's this movie or
1:30:29TV series on Netflix we watched pretty
1:30:32much the entirety of that into the
1:30:35morning it was
1:30:38um apocalypse show I don't know the
1:30:44name what time do you guys think you
1:30:46went to
1:30:50bed I say we stayed up Welling to
1:30:5510 I would say
1:30:58p.m. yeah okay got to be at
1:31:03least
1:31:06um the
1:31:13morning Saturday we didn't do much she
1:31:17left
1:31:19um this is when I'm really starting to
1:31:22notice my legs
1:31:24okay I'm kind of having
1:31:26the the anxiety and all of that and like
1:31:30getting a little frustrated with myself
1:31:32and all that like I it wasn't too bad
1:31:36until like last week Tuesday when I
1:31:39started noticing it and Saturday was
1:31:42like the peak and it's kind of stayed
1:31:45out like this okay Peak anxiety and and
1:31:50this kind of like set me like that asked
1:31:54for some space and I just kind of gamed
1:31:58Saturday
1:32:00um couldn't tell you when I went to bed
1:32:03I I think I might have even stayed up
1:32:05till
1:32:062 that
1:32:09yeah
1:32:15um yeah it just the same game escape
1:32:18from
1:32:20tarov
1:32:22um all right couldn't get a hold of any
1:32:24of my friends to play with unfortunately
1:32:27I played like some here and there mhm
1:32:30from Discord but none would like stick
1:32:33around for that late in the
1:32:36night then we get to Sunday it's the
1:32:424th the morning I'm a little worried
1:32:44about my
1:32:46family I think I called my
1:32:49mom oh throughout I've called I I don't
1:32:52know the times though
1:32:56throughout the weekend I mean but I
1:32:57called my M I
1:32:59believe in the morning or along those
1:33:02lines and I get a text from
1:33:05her it was a text message it wasn't even
1:33:08an iMessage so mhm I
1:33:11assume she said white L
1:33:14today so she sent it that
1:33:18day um I couldn't figure out where she
1:33:22was through because it was a text there
1:33:25was no iMessage so I kind of just like
1:33:27left it at that they're safe they're
1:33:30alive
1:33:36then get to the
1:33:39afternoon I'm talking to
1:33:43Dan I call him up and I ask him well
1:33:47what he's
1:33:49doing or maybe that was the morning but
1:33:52I I called Dan that Sunday ask him what
1:33:55he what he's up to if he wanted to hang
1:33:58out I don't like being alone at the
1:34:00house very
1:34:02long Dan is mom's coworker SL friend
1:34:05yeah he's
1:34:07guy
1:34:09um go over there for he invited me for
1:34:14fireworks in his his
1:34:22driveway um he said or you said
1:34:25yesterday he lived in the forest or
1:34:26Windsor when yeah close Okay I couldn't
1:34:30I could point it at a map one or the
1:34:32other I
1:34:35think so throughout the day um the dogs
1:34:39it's just me and the dogs the fireworks
1:34:42and the dogs are like running around in
1:34:45into things I'm trying to keep them okay
1:34:48all they're doing is knocking stuff over
1:34:52spill their water they hav't
1:34:55it won't go outside for me um even on a
1:34:58leash I couldn't get
1:35:00them
1:35:02out what was the deal with that
1:35:04fireworks oh the fireworks are spooking
1:35:06them so much yeah all
1:35:09day I put them both into the the fort
1:35:13crank the
1:35:18TV did that seem to help at all with
1:35:21them yeah good the the loud TV helped um
1:35:26Rizo doesn't like or maybe does like new
1:35:29girl the TV show so we watch that it's
1:35:32the it's the theme song that gets her I
1:35:35think she
1:35:37barks
1:35:38um so we watched
1:35:42that um Izzy fell asleep so Izzy's the
1:35:47the old dog the older one so we're in
1:35:50Sunday we're in Sunday evening cat comes
1:35:53by
1:35:54to help me with the girls so she wasn't
1:35:57there during the day no no it was just
1:35:59me and the dogs she left Sunday morning
1:36:04okay from the no no she
1:36:10left Saturday morning because I spent
1:36:13Saturday by myself I see that and then
1:36:16Sunday it was just me and the girls
1:36:21till whenever cat got there
1:36:25we didn't
1:36:26eat together I don't
1:36:30think no this is Sunday this is Sunday
1:36:33so I went to cat's
1:36:36house on Sunday I actually yeah so that
1:36:40was Sunday morning is when I left the
1:36:42girls so all of Sunday morning I had the
1:36:46girls in the fort we watched new girl I
1:36:49went to cat's house Sunday to eat but we
1:36:52ended up not eating there we went
1:36:55to um crest's
1:36:59house it's Cottage Grove or Cascade no
1:37:06cedarberg it's a sea town
1:37:11area Okay um is it where is it near I've
1:37:15never whose house was that CR oh Chris
1:37:19so CH is you seen her in my phone yeah
1:37:22yeah I saw the calls to she that's your
1:37:25helps me out with everything cat's mom's
1:37:28girlfriend mom's girlfriend okay's I try
1:37:31to talk to her as much cuz she's like I
1:37:34don't know Wise and she really helps me
1:37:37with what's going on with me I been in a
1:37:40slump I'd say okay
1:37:43but um so went to cats house Sunday to
1:37:45eat what time do you think you went over
1:37:50there food at 3:30 that's what they said
1:37:54so about 3 3 3:30 you went over to cats
1:37:58oh I was at cats well before I was out

1:38:50went and then they get home around 2:30

1:38:57girls out and we go back straight to the

1:39:03you went to let the dogs out or no we
1:39:06were at cat's like it's like a duplex so
1:39:09Cat's Cat's house Sunday around noon um
1:39:13you went to sleep with well cat her
1:39:17sister her brother Cat's brother and his
1:39:21date and his date okay sorry about that
1:39:25went with a thrift
1:39:26store then then we went to crest's and
1:39:30we ate um after that James left after
1:39:34dinner leaving his date with us and we
1:39:37we took a swim after the swim we we left
1:39:43um went to cat's house to drop off his
1:39:47date the date stayed at cat's house
1:39:54I think the date it was a rose maybe is
1:39:58what her name was
1:40:00Rose um had you ever met her before no
1:40:03this was a Tinder match from her brother

1:40:17went to cr's house so got to cats around
1:40:21noon they got back okay cat and I went

1:40:25house to let the dogs out then we

1:40:32gas and then we went to crestes so I

1:40:37to it was maybe 4 when we got there we
1:40:41were late for
1:40:42dinner but it was good cuz it was still

1:42:33Rose got cat's dirty or wet clothes she

1:42:41clothes because she was going to dry
1:42:43them and we went to my house
1:42:47together so roll got dropped off at
1:42:49cat's yeah the duplex in the East Side
1:42:54okay was James with you guys at that
1:42:57point or no James left after dinner
1:43:01around 4:35 okay
1:43:07um got to keep day or some
1:43:11[ __ ] was he not getting along with rose
1:43:14or no he he had work oh okay
1:43:19um that sucks
1:43:23working on the 4th of July um
1:43:27something so you Dro did Rose get
1:43:30dropped off at cat's duplex then yes we
1:43:33refer to cat's house is a duplex yep
1:43:36Crest Crest is the farm you grow berries
1:43:41yep my house is my house that's how I

1:43:49um where are we Sunday night about 7
1:43:53Sunday night about 7 we get Rose dropped
1:43:56off we get to my
1:43:58house and we go to my house in De Forest
1:44:02Winter we feed the
1:44:04girls we put her clothes that she
1:44:07brought the wet stuff in the dryer
1:44:10because that's what she needed to
1:44:13do we'll get her clothes
1:44:15dry uh that's after we get back
1:44:18actually
1:44:20um and then we go to dance
1:44:23okay um for the fireworks that he asked
1:44:26us to come by
1:44:298:30 um for some reason I I was trying
1:44:32to leave
1:44:34but I was making a a joke about it that
1:44:37we're we're going to be late like stuff
1:44:39like that goofy crap uh I drove to dance
1:44:44okay which car were you going my dad's
1:44:46Subaru it's a blue the one in the
1:44:49garage
1:44:51yeah gotcha
1:44:54then we get there we stay for 45 to an
1:44:59hour there that's how I got the bottle
1:45:02rocket marks show me
1:45:04those that oh The Spar I think this was
1:45:09a wad or something that flew back shot
1:45:12back out of it yeah that one stuck in
1:45:15for a little bit that's why it's so bad
1:45:17but these are sparks okay those are a
1:45:20dance house you got those dance a dance
1:45:24I I didn't know the stick you you don't
1:45:27hold the stick the stick flies with it
1:45:29oh sure I didn't
1:45:32know
1:45:38um so you're over at Dan's house about
1:45:4145 minutes to an hour yeah get my hands
1:45:43a little bit I'll we find a firework
1:45:48that it spins and takes off and it went
1:45:51straight to the bush
1:45:53so we were like no more of that we're
1:45:56done
1:46:00um to light the Bush on
1:46:03fire no no thankfully it wasn't hot
1:46:06enough for that good after that we
1:46:09cleaned I gave him a bottle of wine as a
1:46:12thank you for letting
1:46:13us
1:46:16come I thankfully I still have a couple
1:46:20bottles at home
1:46:26um while we were there Dan had a few
1:46:29beers his girlfriend was there or fiance
1:46:33or or wife I'm not sure their
1:46:36relationship but she was
1:46:39there know her name never got her
1:46:43name Just Dance girlfriend she's got
1:46:46purple hair she's it at MATC like the
1:46:49school is own
1:46:51it okay anybody else there just the two
1:46:55of us and then the neighbors watched one
1:46:58to our left and one across the street
1:47:01one
1:47:03group um the one across the street had
1:47:06some cooler stuff than I've ever seen a
1:47:09person be able to own firework
1:47:14wise um but there there we are and then
1:47:19then someone in the distance kind of
1:47:21closer to our house lach
1:47:23a
1:47:24mortar artillery firework mhm and then I
1:47:28was like okay we have to go home for the
1:47:30dogs so we went and that was
1:47:36pushing 9:30
1:47:389:45 we got
1:47:41home we uh got into the couch fort
1:47:54and put on Daybreak was the apocalypse
1:47:56show

1:48:00um I put on that because we're were
1:48:02trying to finish it on Netflix

1:48:11dogs are pushing me nosing me and
1:48:14everything and so we kind of stop and
1:48:18stop watching and she goes to
1:48:20bed um
1:48:23I'm trying to let the dogs out her at
1:48:25least go to bathroom a little bit but
1:48:27the fireworks they she they
1:48:31couldn't um we get to bed upstairs in my
1:48:36room because she doesn't like the couch
1:48:40and she had work in the morning
1:48:42yeah and I'd say that's 10ish 10
1:48:4810:30 and the whole time the younger dog
1:48:51keeps jumping on us
1:48:53um so I leave cat in the bed and I go
1:48:57sit out out down in the the the couches
1:49:01and chairs down by the real dinner table
1:49:03mhm I go sit there and just hang out
1:49:06with the dog so cat can get asleep where
1:49:09we first started talking last night like
1:49:11kitchen dining room and the coaches okay
1:49:13got I sit down there so cat can get some
1:49:15sleep cuz I don't work tomorrow she does
1:49:18MHM um then I put the ladder in front of
1:49:21those steps so the girls can't come
1:49:24up I uh they pee on the kitchen the ties
1:49:30so I clean that and like well at least
1:49:33they went before bed you know it wasn't
1:49:35the worst thing they're not going to go
1:49:36outside
1:49:38yeah then I go to bed
1:49:42okay then it's Monday
1:49:45morning cat goes to work 7:50 is maybe
1:49:50earlier
1:49:52then I'm left to myself
1:49:55so we put on new girl in the couch for
1:49:58it on Monday
1:50:02morning I go back and forth through some
1:50:04video games and then
1:50:07back video
1:50:16games back and then
1:50:24those don't like to stand up very good
1:50:26yeah I'm sorry I'm trying to stretch a
1:50:27little bit while I'm sitting hurts
1:50:30um new girl video games this is
1:50:37Monday um we're getting later I have a
1:50:40little bit of tea for
1:50:46lunch I well at the end of the day on
1:50:50Monday I did go
1:50:53or the afternoon I did go to the farm to
1:50:58talk to Crest and Cat's
1:51:01mom I told them what's happening with my
1:51:03health because I had the appointment at
1:51:06two did you go to the farm before or
1:51:08after after because I told them what
1:51:10happened to me and I told them the legs
1:51:14are probably going to be permanent and
1:51:16the headaches should be fixed after the
1:51:19Hemorrhage is cleared a little bit
1:51:24so now that I'm
1:51:29there I talked to their mom
1:51:35um and Crest
1:51:37together
1:51:39and I think cat's mom is all right with
1:51:44me
1:51:47she's I don't know if she wants me to
1:51:49move into her the east side
1:51:53cat's house okay and start paying rent
1:51:55as an apartment because she doesn't like
1:51:57that live at home does cat live with her
1:51:59mom or cat has an apartment okay
1:52:03somewhere cat does yeah it's on it's by
1:52:07Mifflin okay the party Avenue it's by
1:52:10there
1:52:15um
1:52:17okay so I'm there talking to their mom
1:52:20and chis
1:52:23then I
1:52:24um then I go up to have you know a break
1:52:30down by their shed and they go
1:52:34swimming um right by the swimming pool
1:52:37is the shed so they're they wanted to
1:52:40watch me
1:52:41like you
1:52:44know break down and all that so after I
1:52:48noticed they're just watching I I just
1:52:51walk over to them
1:52:55describe your breakdown to
1:52:56me uh I actually
1:53:01cried started kicking grass just doing
1:53:06the toddler tantrum [ __ ] um then
1:53:10I hopped in the water with them okay so
1:53:13it was too late I was in the water and
1:53:16he realized Crest didn't have a top um
1:53:19and that was uncomfortable but I talk to
1:53:22them more and that's when she brought up
1:53:24the housing situation how she doesn't
1:53:26like how my parents
1:53:29like are I guess I don't know she knows
1:53:33she doesn't know them that well she's
1:53:35never met them okay CHR was saying that
1:53:38cat's mom C's mom is U speaks
1:53:43his first thought right away yeah so
1:53:47she's so they're offering me to get a
1:53:51job live with
1:53:53them work for them while I'm working and
1:53:58pay rent and that's kind of their their
1:54:00deal I would have like a month free of
1:54:02rent or a month or two maybe if if
1:54:05they're thinking um I could be able to
1:54:08borrow a car from Crest maybe if she's
1:54:12nice or not using it I'd be able to go
1:54:15to work do she have a lot of cars or
1:54:17something no no okay just an extra one
1:54:21probably she stays at the farm okay so
1:54:25if she didn't need it I could use it
1:54:27true to go to a job or at least
1:54:31interviews yeah y I was hoping for a job
1:54:35you know near where I live so I could
1:54:37bike that that would keep me you know
1:54:41these going I don't I don't think they
1:54:42can get worse but I I could keep doing
1:54:45it you
1:54:46know
1:54:49um what was I doing where where are we
1:54:52Sunday so you were swimming um a little
1:54:55breakdown what were we having a
1:54:57breakdown
1:54:59about you ever have your legs down yeah
1:55:03no I it's
1:55:06just I don't even know if they're done
1:55:08getting like as bad as they they can be
1:55:11yet so that's a that's not fun and you I
1:55:14think you were telling me last night it
1:55:16was it's a symptom of a concussion right
1:55:18so that's not it that's a it's a symptom
1:55:21of nerve damage from the hit to my spine
1:55:24so it's permanent okay I understand that
1:55:26now better yeah um so it's just legs
1:55:30thankfully it's waste feeling is
1:55:34probably colos bag down the road and all
1:55:37of that but here we are Sunday
1:55:42yeah okay we're sitting in the pool
1:55:45we're hanging
1:55:48out um they're just talking to me
1:55:54sometimes they're being nice sometimes
1:55:55they're like making the offer like hey
1:55:57if you move in you can pay rent this is
1:55:59a good
1:56:00neighborhood um it's called a sack
1:56:03there's
1:56:06parking
1:56:08so yeah on the east side just off of
1:56:11Milwaukee Street that's Andrew Andrew
1:56:14you take a left turn onto Andrew got
1:56:17Milwaukee
1:56:18yep so that's
1:56:21it um so it's a good neighborhood kind
1:56:24of like the one by my parents
1:56:27mhm I if I live there I at least be on
1:56:31doing my own
1:56:33thing and then they're like well
1:56:36appreciate you stopping by so I I I head
1:56:39out and I go it was Monday afternoon I
1:56:44go to dinner at cat cat's house on the
1:56:46east side
1:56:48okay what time do you think that was
1:56:54had to be 7:30 I left the farm which is
1:56:57cres 7:30
1:57:00p.m. the F
1:57:03okay
1:57:09so all right we
1:57:13cats and then
1:57:17she's she's planning on feeding me on
1:57:21this is Monday day correct yeah that's
1:57:24after the farm swim of
1:57:30crust I think we just eat and cuddle a
1:57:33little bit okay when I go
1:57:38home there's the girls um let them out
1:57:42and go to bed cuz I kind of had a day
1:57:46yeah what time you think you left her
1:57:49place say 9
1:57:53left about 9: okay
1:57:57um she didn't come with you no I was
1:58:00alone that night
1:58:02okay
1:58:05um don't really want to drag her away I
1:58:08think she stayed at her apartment that
1:58:10or her house that night not apartment
1:58:13okay so there we
1:58:18are Tuesday Tuesday morning
1:58:22or
1:58:29just I can't remember to um
1:58:33oh Dan wakes me up I believe with
1:58:37something or not wakes me up I I did the
1:58:39six again with the dogs and the food but
1:58:42I got back in bed I don't know if I
1:58:43passed out or zoned out a little bit
1:58:48but um Dan is worried about my Ma on
1:58:52Tuesday I
1:58:54think did you call said no no word my ma
1:59:00I don't know if he called or I think he
1:59:02just contacted that's what I can think
1:59:03of reached out yeah he reached
1:59:05out then I'm like oh it's Tuesday
1:59:07morning they should be
1:59:09here um no worried I think I called my
1:59:12mom that
1:59:17day all right and
1:59:20then you talk for
1:59:23no she never picked up it's always
1:59:27the the voicemail in same voicemail you
1:59:30know when yeah so it's off out of
1:59:34range I don't know the other factors
1:59:36that could give you that it's like a
1:59:38voicemail right away go right to
1:59:40voicemail right yeah okay so whatever
1:59:42factors can give you that so I might
1:59:45have missed it so from the time like
1:59:47they left did you talk to them at all
1:59:50when they were I got you got the one
1:59:53text and I that you mentioned earlier
1:59:55don't even like it right yeah but that
1:59:57was it nothing else yeah so that's
2:00:00that's fishy to me even the text because
2:00:02I realized Memorial Day is when the
2:00:04White Lake parade is oh sure there's no
2:00:08Fourth of July maybe there's cheap
2:00:10drinks but there's no parade quite like
2:00:13on the 4th
2:00:16so well maybe there is
2:00:19now I realize I I've always gone on
2:00:22Memorial because that's that's the
2:00:25weekend I I get timed off from school
2:00:28and all of that you don't get time off
2:00:29for the fourth so so basically from the
2:00:32time that they're gone at the cabin and
2:00:34your home you know running around doing
2:00:36what you're doing you said one
2:00:39communication with Mom yeah that's kind
2:00:42of how I just assumed the amount of
2:00:45people the where they're at and whether
2:00:47they're all well I understand I'm just
2:00:49making sure was one her not Conta acting
2:00:52but this is the only text was there
2:00:54anything with Dad no I I would even
2:00:57bother talking to him he he wouldn't use
2:00:59his phone while he's up there he loves
2:01:01it oh
2:01:03do you know does he keep his phone on
2:01:06him when he's up there it's prob it's
2:01:08usually in the car oh okay um my brother
2:01:12and I just text all the time while we're
2:01:14up there we even set up wire and Tennis
2:01:18sometimes to make makeig better
2:01:20connection sure um so here we are where
2:01:25Tuesday um called Mom voicemail
2:01:27immediately voicemail immediately
2:01:31Tuesday where Dan Dan called worried
2:01:34about mom not coming to work um you had
2:01:37already fed the dogs and that before Dan
2:01:39called you or reached out to you
2:02:00so doing this
2:02:05crap I I got a coffee at a quick trip
2:02:09one
2:02:10day well I think that could have been
2:02:12Tuesday morning okay at quick trip I got
2:02:15a coffee and
2:02:18I um I use my dad's number at a quick
2:02:21trip to get me the free one because it
2:02:24was the creba gold I I could have I
2:02:26could have afforded it but you know
2:02:27there's a free one and it's Tuesday or
2:02:30it was a Monday I could have gotten a
2:02:32dollar one but was full price I believe
2:02:35and I I grabbed the the Cofe cuz it was
2:02:37a free one he hasn't used it for weeks
2:02:39so we grabb that had a quick trip I
2:02:43couldn't tell you which one I was just
2:02:44driving at that point um when you get
2:02:48when you use a it's a rewards card is
2:02:50what they call it right you just enter
2:02:51his phone number typ it you type
2:02:54it okay
2:02:58um but I got a coffee had to be I'm
2:03:01assuming
2:03:03Tuesday and I got a free
2:03:06one sweet it's it was terrible oh it was
2:03:10I yeah I wanted to try Kupa gold yeah it
2:03:13was
2:03:15bad um then we're on
2:03:17Tuesday uh cat's working up and I'm
2:03:21gaming job hun and then I um then I
2:03:25started trying to get the the
2:03:29glass I've been a little lazy on the
2:03:33glass I just kind of had chairs in front
2:03:35of it I have broom
2:03:38and you know a little sweeper holder you
2:03:41know you broom it into that dust pan
2:03:44yeah um tossing the glass into recycling
2:03:53um I get most of it there's there's a
2:03:56bunch in the cracks of the stone that
2:03:59I'm picking out by hand I think I didn't
2:04:02injure myself from that
2:04:04but um
2:04:07just
2:04:13yeah just
2:04:16um my blood was kind of on the floor so
2:04:20I got the swipper I borrowed from cat
2:04:23from the the
2:04:25foot I brought a Swiffer to mop I
2:04:28Swiffer the the floor floor like not the
2:04:31stone but the
2:04:32floor and then I got a little bit in the
2:04:35kitchen and then everywhere kind of I
2:04:38walked pretty much the the bathroom the
2:04:41kitchen and then I couldn't get the
2:04:44carpet so I still stained that up real
2:04:46crappy where was there carpet at the
2:04:49stairs between basement and kitchen oh
2:04:52that's right carpet
2:04:54stairs um I tried I can't get it
2:04:59out I don't know how to do that
2:05:03but um then all the way up to my the
2:05:06laundry room where I found my first aid
2:05:08kit I just tried to stop all the
2:05:10bleeding but I you know it wouldn't stop
2:05:15so that blood was all coming from your
2:05:18left foot yeah left foot hole
2:05:22a footo hole Yeah I mean we're talking
2:05:25are we talking massive amounts of blood
2:05:27are we talking you know a little bit
2:05:30like describe um it started as
2:05:33drops until I got to the
2:05:36bathroom and then I got back to go grab
2:05:38my sock and some of the the paper towel
2:05:43and then I see the glasses in there so I
2:05:45grab a twe and I pull it out and then it
2:05:47starts squirting out and I I got some oh
2:05:51know a little bit of the rock it wasn't
2:05:53that bad of the rock but it
2:05:57um I think the worst was the that floor
2:06:01that like it kind of like you know like
2:06:05this lid puddles mhm it was wasn't good
2:06:09we the floor down in the basement well
2:06:12that one um and then I go
2:06:16upstairs to the kitchen and it's still
2:06:20going and I'm trying to get my put in
2:06:21the sink just to slow it down and pinch
2:06:24it
2:06:27maybe um and then I waddle upstairs to
2:06:33the the the IAC or the the first
2:06:38a and um once I got it kind of bundled
2:06:43up that's it stopped for for what I
2:06:48know then I
2:06:50go I need to get some
2:06:53tape um we have a tape box in the
2:06:56basement I go there and I I opened it up
2:06:59again I bled a little bit more but the
2:07:01basement was easy to clean that just
2:07:04cement just little bit of water and I
2:07:06ragged that up but I grabbed the tape
2:07:09box and I wrapped it um after that that
2:07:14was that's Tuesday
2:07:18yep that's Tuesday
2:07:24wings I go to
2:07:25cats okay we had wings what
2:07:28time um that could have been I've been
2:07:32doing the BS of first aid and all that I
2:07:35go to cat's house with her mom and her
2:07:38brother that could have
2:07:41been five or
2:07:43six I couldn't give you the
2:07:46exact did you guys pick up the wings and
2:07:48go there
2:07:49or no I I drove to cats okay straight
2:07:55there um what' you drive the
2:07:58Subaru car choice I just um the with the
2:08:03Volvo seat it
2:08:06like you know I can't do it with my foot
2:08:09okay
2:08:14um where so you're talking about wings
2:08:17did you guys go pick up wings or yeah so
2:08:20we get there and we're calling around
2:08:23seeing what's up James is getting home
2:08:25with Jimmy
2:08:29Johns um and we're like oh don't eat all
2:08:33of it he's like I'm hungry now doing all
2:08:35that post gym
2:08:38crab so he grabs eats half of his
2:08:41sandwich and then we go cat and I the
2:08:44Two of Us in my car we go
2:08:47to Buffalo wildlings
2:08:52do you remember which one I couldn't
2:08:54tell you okay I
2:08:56don't
2:09:01um it had to be East right that's close
2:09:03to it's by a mall prob e by a mall
2:09:08there's a mall
2:09:10um we go in we get the wings we go
2:09:17out we go to cats we eat
2:09:22um we watched this movie pretty and pink
2:09:25or something it's about a girl with that
2:09:27likes fashion and goes to
2:09:31Harvard so is that on Netflix or just
2:09:34normal
2:09:36TV they have like everything there I
2:09:39didn't I didn't
2:09:41know all right so you at the wings at
2:09:44cats watch pretty and
2:09:46pink yeah is your mom's choice but um
2:09:51the four of us yeah we all ate okay and
2:09:54then went upstairs laid down in her bed
2:09:57for a few
2:10:01minutes just letting the food settle or
2:10:04yeah hanging
2:10:05out notice she's kind of falling
2:10:10asleep so I'm like okay I'm ready to get
2:10:12out of here and I go home get the girls
2:10:17all ready for bed with going
2:10:20outside get get them
2:10:24water what time do you think you made it
2:10:29home say
2:10:31N9 at the latest
2:10:36um so
2:10:38girls food water well not really food
2:10:41they've ate before but
2:10:43water and played like indoor playtime
2:10:46and bathroom sure so
2:10:52did you guys go to so you were home
2:10:54alone then um well I've been home alone
2:10:57this whole weekend really except when
2:10:58cat comes yeah so cat didn't come that
2:11:02night so now we're we're pushing
2:11:05Wednesday aren't we
2:11:10um what time do you think you went to
2:11:12bed on Tuesday night um probably pretty
2:11:17dang close to when I got home 10: at the
2:11:19latest
2:11:22yeah kind of been tired lately sure um
2:11:27then in the morning
2:11:30on Sunday or no wait where are we

2:11:37um I try to go to the farm I keep
2:11:41spamming Crest and spamming
2:11:44Crest I kind of needed someone to talk
2:11:46to cuz freaking out about my parents um

2:11:52to go to the farm or to the to the cabin

2:12:02hondorf um never picked up from Crest so
2:12:06I go
2:12:10home um did you drive over to the farm
2:12:13or H yeah yeah yeah cuz she wasn't
2:12:16answering her phone right no I got close
2:12:19but then I realized I can't just show up
2:12:20there they'd shoot me I don't know when
2:12:24I drive or what it look like with a hat
2:12:27on they got guns over there or would
2:12:30they actually shoot you no I'm just
2:12:32saying there her dad lives there he's
2:12:35he's
2:12:3690 he he got a buck when he was 95 or
2:12:40something so I I know if he didn't know
2:12:43who I was he could have
2:12:45yeah so he's he's
2:12:49a but can use a gun that's why I would
2:12:53do that yeah so cr's dad lives there too
2:12:57yeah who's play is it cr's Farm or Dad's
2:13:00it's for Dad's he built it oh okay and
2:13:02then she he lives there she's managing
2:13:04the property because he's in a chair
2:13:07yeah he's
2:13:08old
2:13:09um so then it's not really a farm it's a
2:13:13it's a farm hobby Farm yeah yeah okay I
2:13:16got you I haven't never been there let
2:13:18wild flowers grow for the the beast
2:13:20that's pretty much much it and their own
2:13:22berries but it's
2:13:24um then here we are I turn around and
2:13:28then Jane
2:13:30calls I get a picture of the property at
2:13:34the
2:13:36cabin I see
2:13:38that so I'm looking at the
2:13:42cabin and it doesn't look right there's
2:13:45a birch tree in in
2:13:48front and I I didn't like the look of it
2:13:50cuz that didn't that didn't just sit
2:13:53right with me a little bit but I it
2:13:55looked like tracks or pushed down into
2:13:57the grass a little bit I don't know in
2:14:00the picture and Mike said there was like
2:14:03light tracks like someone was
2:14:06there where was the birch tree at it
2:14:09looked like it was in the middle of the
2:14:10drive and sometimes we do do that we we
2:14:14find a fallen log and we put it like a
2:14:17you know a double door entrance so you
2:14:20go in from the gate you park you move
2:14:23the next and then you drive there yeah
2:14:26sure so that's like the only security we
2:14:29can get up
2:14:30there um some we have done that
2:14:33before the grass is overgrown but that's
2:14:36from the storm and the Fallen trees you
2:14:39can't mow there because the
2:14:46flowers so with the birch tree I mean if
2:14:49you guys typically put stuff down like
2:14:51security why why did it look weird to
2:14:54you this time you never seen that log we
2:14:57have we have this log that's close to
2:15:00the shed
2:15:02it's I would say closer to petrified
2:15:05than rotten it's hard like really
2:15:09hard yeah I don't know what kind of tree
2:15:11but that's what my dad and I use when we
2:15:14go so we typically use the same tree
2:15:16this one just seem to have place too
2:15:18yeah that's not the tree we use
2:15:21gotta
2:15:26um where where are we Wednesday morning
2:15:30uh Jane sends you a picture up the cabin
2:15:32you see the Birch Street and look right
2:15:34to you then I go to police station
2:15:37because I ask her when should I make a
2:15:40thing a point
2:15:45or I'm sorry um no worries man
2:15:51what Wednesday morning you said you went
2:15:53to the police department yeah to make
2:15:56a I still think of it talk to him about
2:15:59my
2:16:00parents and um then I met with three
2:16:05sheriffs that came three you said
2:16:08three there was a cely he's bearded the
2:16:13guy that drove me here I'm not sure the
2:16:16name and then Collins uh
2:16:22she was also
2:16:24doing canvasing
2:16:27MH so
2:16:30canvasing so here we are throws three I
2:16:33get the questions
2:16:35answered
2:16:39then oh then we go to my house and then
2:16:42there's three more the same three
2:16:46sheriffs um so they talk to you at the
2:16:48police station or wherever you guys yeah
2:16:51get the information and stuff like that
2:16:52and then they came to your house yeah
2:16:55okay and that's probably about then I
2:16:58came a couple hours later they were
2:17:00there questioning you're here now
2:17:01questioning MH and then that night that
2:17:07what what night are we on Wednesday
2:17:08Wednesday night I um go to Dan and
2:17:12Mary's Wednesday night Wednesday night
2:17:15what time do you think they feed me um I
2:17:18had probably 7 7:30
2:17:21and you said he wented Dan and Mary S or
2:17:24Mary Sesto and
2:17:26Dan something
2:17:29aich so Mary Sesto house Mary Sesto
2:17:32house it's it's um on the same
2:17:36road yeah they just up the curv around
2:17:39the corner for dinner you went there
2:17:42yeah well they just fed me they didn't
2:17:43eat okay they just wanted to
2:17:48brainstorm any good ideas come out of it

2:17:54think of Dan and Dan's been here yeah so
2:17:58you said you went to the the police
2:17:59department to talk about your parents
2:18:02what just tell me what exactly did you
2:18:04talk about your parents with the
2:18:06deputies about oh we're making a report
2:18:09a report that I thought I had to do that
2:18:12at a at a station
2:18:14okay and you were reporting like what
2:18:17were you reporting exactly just I just
2:18:19want to write down and yeah have it on
2:18:21there U they're missing this okay

2:18:38gone into a lot of detail last night and

2:18:52the bleeding and the fireplace yeah um
2:18:56the sheriff's kind of gave what they
2:18:58need to make reports and you just asked

2:19:12are and throughout the weekend I've been

2:19:24Wednesday um mom had work you and your
2:19:28dad watched Wheel of Fortune just going
2:19:31to kind of read stuff back through a
2:19:32little bit okay um and we kind of ended
2:19:34it last night because that's I've been
2:19:36talking to you since then you know so I
2:19:38don't think there's much else that I
2:19:39need you to tell me from last night
2:19:44um so watching Wheel of Fortune uh
2:19:47you're on the couch table down stair
2:19:49couch with the back back to the table
2:19:51downstairs kind of toss in the the ball
2:19:53around for the dog and broke the glass
2:19:56fireplace um your foot gets hurt dad
2:19:59gets
2:20:00mad right yeah mom left for work in the
2:20:04morning comes home later on
2:20:07um dog was fine not injured at all was
2:20:10it the dog or the ball that crashed into
2:20:11the glass both the ball bounced it but
2:20:14the the dog hit it with the shoulder
2:20:16that's how it broke it would the ball
2:20:18would have done it yeah

2:20:26um playing games watching YouTube job
2:20:30search I'm just going to instead of
2:20:32reading out loud just make sure I don't
2:20:34have any

2:20:40every day look like they were made
2:20:42yesterday when I was there yes okay we
2:20:45usually do sheets every few days in beds
2:20:53you change the sheets every day every
2:20:55few yeah they get changed going to say
2:20:57that's B is or the dog hair it's kind of

2:21:27as as far as the blood on your
2:21:30foot um how did you clean that up so we
2:21:34we were talking you got you had blood on
2:21:37Swiffer Wet jet okay Swiffer Wet jet and
2:21:41where did you get that from can't let me
2:21:43borrow it um where's it at now I
2:21:46returned it to cat yeah
2:21:54okay I don't know where it's at now I
2:21:58just brought it back um it back to work
2:22:03um did you use anything
2:22:06else hydrogen peroxide for the the tiles
2:22:11and the hard
2:22:15floors um just the big Globs needed a
2:22:19little bit
2:22:21hydrogen peroxide do that seem to help
2:22:23get rid of the blood well it hurt my
2:22:26foot that stuff um but it didn't really
2:22:29help okay it kind of just made a mess
2:22:32and when you say only on tiles I'm
2:22:34trying to remember your house I couldn't
2:22:35do carpet with it it would ruin the
2:22:37carpet right it would I think so um
2:22:41tiles are we talking kitchen cuz
2:22:43downstairs is just like some well when I
2:22:45had some blood on the basement I used
2:22:47the
2:22:49peroxide okay basement floor and tiles
2:22:52in the kitchen yeah okay yeah I
2:22:55peroxided there it wasn't as much like
2:22:58there were like this size pools in the
2:23:00kitchen okay I was pinching it pretty
2:23:02dang hard but which was also cutting
2:23:05deeper cuz I had another might still
2:23:07have another piece of glass is that the
2:23:10biggest pool that you saw was something
2:23:12this was downstairs this was kind of on
2:23:15the
2:23:16Stone close to the glass and then there
2:23:19was one right at the base kind of where
2:23:22the chairs I
2:23:23put like a
2:23:26good like 2 3 in diameter 2 3 in
2:23:31diameter okay
2:23:34um more than
2:23:46that did you do anything to so I wrote
2:23:49down on Tuesday that you tried getting
2:23:51the glass cleaned up in the basement um
2:23:53tossed it in the glass or glass in
2:23:55recycling did you clean up at all when
2:23:57it actually happened no my dad was
2:24:00Furious um so he he did stuff to clean
2:24:04it yeah I don't know what he
2:24:09did but I he's sent me to my room
2:24:12upstairs and he did whatever he did but
2:24:14it still was on the floor after he was
2:24:16done
2:24:18okay um
2:24:22did your dad get injured at all when the
2:24:24glass broke did he step on any here he
2:24:26sent me up but
2:24:28I don't doubt it he gets mad he's not
2:24:32thinking so we don't know if your dad
2:24:35got hurt no okay no but my best kiss is
2:24:40that guy reached into the fireplace and
2:24:42cut off his arm or
2:24:47something all right
2:24:51what the head pain do you guys have like
2:24:54Tylenol or
2:24:56something I know you guys can't really
2:24:58offer anything like that but like a
2:25:00headache yeah I've been getting the
2:25:02migraines from all the the hits and
2:25:05stuff we can try to give you something
2:25:09MH um so right so cleaning up the blood
2:25:12we just got the Swiffer and the and the
2:25:14hydrogen
2:25:16peroxide just kind of smeared it around
2:25:19there
2:25:23uh there's another thing U paper
2:25:26toweling yeah the just that okay and
2:25:29then
2:25:31there's I don't
2:25:35know where did all those paper tows go
2:25:39just in the trash yeah um
2:25:44some everywhere my car trash in my my
2:25:49trash
2:25:53um they ended up in the car trash
2:25:56there's a bag in the car that I carried
2:25:58around it's a car trash okay it's like a
2:26:00gallon bag okay that's more portable
2:26:03than the garbage
2:26:05can so yeah bloody rag after bloody rag
2:26:09just trying to get it all up and mhm I
2:26:12don't know it it was a lot I I didn't
2:26:16feel sick so it couldn't have been that
2:26:17much right yeah you didn't lose enough
2:26:19to pass OD and
2:26:21is there any reason to believe Mom or
2:26:23Dad's blood would be somewhere in the
2:26:27house if they been injured at all that
2:26:29you're aware of well my dad scratches
2:26:32his psoriasis till he like gushes blood
2:26:36okay gushing would describe gushing to
2:26:38me enough to run down your leg like um
2:26:43like cover your leg I suppose like he
2:26:45has it on his
2:26:46knee so when he does this it just like
2:26:51drips
2:26:53down I ask him to stop but he doesn't do
2:26:55it when he's stressed out he just kind
2:26:58of like it's his te yeah probably itches
2:27:02does he um like does it enough to get on
2:27:05the floor does it leave oh yeah like how
2:27:08much like before we were talking the
2:27:09water bottle lid and the yeti lid is
2:27:11there I mean like are we talking puddles
2:27:13like that or just ribb or it could be
2:27:17enough okay but I'm thinking yeah L if
2:27:20he's there and I don't catch him soon
2:27:22enough oh jeez my Ma's
2:27:25blood D just from her bloody nose as she
2:27:29gets sometimes when she wakes up that's
2:27:31why we've been doing the dehumidify or
2:27:35humidifier and
2:27:37dehumidifiers yeah probably downstairs
2:27:40you get the we we have to do multiple of
2:27:42them but she can't be in the living room
2:27:44too long cuz that's a dehumidifier and
2:27:47if she does her nose gets
2:27:51bad not like a regular one it gets it
2:27:55bad
2:27:57um but she either goes to the kitchen to
2:28:00fix it her vanity or the
2:28:06bathroom um when she has bloody noses
2:28:08are we talking it's just spraying around
2:28:11is it just dripping well it's not
2:28:12squirting but it's dripping and she
2:28:14doesn't notice it okay she can't feel it
2:28:17anymore okay
2:28:21um is there any reason to believe that
2:28:23in either one of their vehicles there
2:28:25would be any of their
2:28:29blood their vehicles yeah or anybody's
2:28:33vehicle I say that no maybe car
2:28:36trash mom's car trash would definitely
2:28:39the past few days my dad's car
2:28:44trash why would they have blood in their
2:28:46car
2:28:48trashes well my mom does the bloody
2:28:51noses with the air conditioning so okay
2:28:53in the when we have air conditioning my
2:28:55mom will will have to use
2:28:58um uh bring towels and stuff because in
2:29:02the hot days you can't have your windows
2:29:04open you'll you won't drive well you
2:29:06know so air conditioning my mom will
2:29:08have nose
2:29:11bleeds um my dad hasn't had them as much
2:29:15as she does but he gets some okay um his
2:29:19are worse than my m
2:29:22does he ever get them in the house then
2:29:24or um mostly just with air conditioning
2:29:28sometimes sometimes with a
2:29:31dehumidifier
2:29:32okay me personally just in air
2:29:35conditioning mhm I get them but I'm not
2:29:39as bad as my parents I it's um not bad
2:29:45okay all right
2:30:11yeah I'm just thinking it's kind of
2:30:16absorbing I just want to make sure that
2:30:18I'm masing everything so I don't have to
2:30:20keep calling me and stuff do you know my
2:30:22brother is he okay Mitch yeah did he
2:30:25make it I know that's a long drive he
2:30:28has called yeah he hasn't called me at
2:30:30all so I don't know I don't think
2:30:32they've ever done a trip like that so
2:30:35it's like 3 hours three and a half Mitch
2:30:39okay
2:30:42okay um as far as up at the
2:30:46cabin when do you think the last time
2:30:49you were up
2:30:50personally last year last year Memorial
2:30:53Day I believe if it wasn't the weekend
2:30:55before
2:30:59Memorial I didn't make the parade I
2:31:02never got to go last
2:31:04year when do you think the last time
2:31:07your mom or dad were at the cabin before
2:31:09my dad went when my brother was
2:31:11diagnosed with
2:31:13diabetes when was
2:31:15that the weekend before my concussion so
2:31:191 two three not including this week
2:31:23three four yeah
2:31:27four four weeks brother he went up
2:31:30brother doing okay he wasn't born with
2:31:33diabetes then no this was okay like it's
2:31:36the kind you're born with in June of
2:31:37this year like 3 4 weeks ago yeah okay
2:31:40he went up notice uh our Plumbing's gone
2:31:45to crap and he bought a new set or
2:31:47something at a a fleet farmer Home Depot
2:31:50it's like
2:31:52a it's like a four-way converter type
2:31:55thing for the plumbing something for the
2:31:58cabin yeah for the cabin for like a
2:32:00toilet or yeah we have we have a toilet
2:32:02up there actually now nice um not just
2:32:05an out house no there is an out
2:32:09house yeah you want an as
2:32:12for yeah I
2:32:14appreciate cool what did you say I got's
2:32:16that work yeah I was like I thought you
2:32:18said add or on no no not not that this
2:32:21ad just over the counter stuff thank you
2:32:24like three of them

2:32:44plum on CRA no no is it is it like uh
2:32:49was it a sink or the toilet or what was
2:32:51it with the plumbing that went bad um so
2:32:54when we have to pour water in every time
2:32:57we go up to start the pump oh okay so
2:33:01some reason by pouring water in the
2:33:03water never Rose in the toilet bowl
2:33:06apparently so you couldn't flush it you
2:33:08know it the water didn't come to the
2:33:10toilet mhm um so you need a new thing to
2:33:14stop whatever the problem was I think
2:33:17leaking I don't know I didn't hear
2:33:20everything from him sure how did he find
2:33:22out about
2:33:23that he yeah how did he know that there
2:33:27was a plumbing issue up there well he
2:33:29went up there just to go see the cabin
2:33:31oh so when he went up a couple weeks ago
2:33:33he realized an issue this time he wanted
2:33:35to fix it well he fixed the the major
2:33:38issue so won't be flooding the the house
2:33:41okay the
2:33:43cabin no he wanted the pipe set to redo
2:33:48it okay
2:33:50because we we need new pipes cuz they're
2:33:55lead and I think we might be moving to
2:33:58plastic because there's no water heat we
2:34:00can do plastic
2:34:04yeah
2:34:09um okay I'm trying to figure out what
2:34:11that part was but that was when Mitch
2:34:14diabetes the the number
2:34:17one did Mitch go up there with him when
2:34:19you no my M and I were kind of with
2:34:22Mitch all that weekend doing stuff dad
2:34:25just went to LA yep and later that week
2:34:29I had my
2:34:30fall and I I've just started getting my
2:34:33memory back okay
2:34:36so where did has mom been up there this
2:34:39year at all mom has not been up there
2:34:42this year maybe they were up there
2:34:44before uh no I think Dad Dad did it all
2:34:49himself
2:34:52maybe this is first and Mitch hasn't
2:34:55been in the cabin in a while right today
2:34:58well than today yeah I I couldn't say
2:35:00he's been there he didn't go last year
2:35:03okay okay does he kind of do his own
2:35:05thing or um Mitch hasn't lived with us
2:35:09or you know like he's got a family now
2:35:14dog a girlfriend no kids but cool he's
2:35:18kind of you know AB time you know how it
2:35:21is with Brothers yeah yeah he's flew the
2:35:25coupe got a few of them myself yeah all
2:35:28right I've started thinking about that
2:35:30myself and my parents are trying to
2:35:33figure that out with me
2:35:38mhm right
2:35:41that we got all the background I think
2:35:43right yeah I think so so I think it's
2:35:46time we start talking about what
2:35:48happened to your parents the truthful
2:35:50version okay okay so we have like 20
2:35:55pages of writing we're going to start
2:35:57with a clean white piece of paper if you
2:35:59to start telling the truth okay what
2:36:01because listen listen to me this is the
2:36:03only chance you're going to have to tell
2:36:05us the truth okay okay what we listen
2:36:08listen I'm I can't tell you what we know
2:36:11but we know you're not telling us the
2:36:12truth we know your parents are no longer
2:36:14with us okay and we know the reason
2:36:17why okay you need to tell the truth
2:36:20there's listen listen you need to tell
2:36:23the truth about what happened and just
2:36:25tell us why it
2:36:26happened okay if something happened if
2:36:29you were defending yourself or if you
2:36:31just got fed up with stuff you need to
2:36:33tell us the truth okay this is your
2:36:36chance to tell us why okay I'm not bsing

2:41:48Hendrickson reports towards the end of
2:41:51this interview at approximately 6:41
2:41:53p.m. the defendant invoked his rights to
2:41:55an attorney and the interview concluded
2:41:57the defendant was advised he was under
2:41:59arrest at that point in time and was
2:42:00taken into custody as detective
2:42:03Hendrickson and the defendant were
2:42:04walking towards booking he made an
2:42:06unsolicited comment that he wanted to go
2:42:08back up and he would tell me everything
2:42:11detective Hendrickson informed the
2:42:12defendant he could not speak with him
2:42:14any longer regarding his missing parents
2:42:16as he had invoked his right to an
2:42:18attorney only minutes earlier the
2:42:20defendant then asked something to the
2:42:21extent of what if I want to tell you
2:42:23everything with an attorney there to
2:42:25guide me detective Hendrickson informed
2:42:27the defendant that would be entirely his
2:42:29decision to make it a later time but at
2:42:31this point he was not going to be
2:42:32questioning him any further about his
2:42:34missing parents as again he had invoked
2:42:36his right to an attorney the defendant
2:42:38then proceeded to make another
2:42:40unsolicited comment that he again wanted
2:42:43to tell me everything during the course
2:42:45of completing the booking paperwork
2:42:46specifically the booking sheet and the
2:42:48medical take questionnaire they
2:42:50defendant and asked something to the
2:42:51effect of what was different in
2:42:53comparison to when he was interviewed
2:42:55yesterday compared to this date
2:42:57detective Hendrickson's response to the
2:42:59defendant at that point in time was that
2:43:01they had found something and the
2:43:03defendant had become very wide-eyed
2:43:05similar to his reaction when prior to
2:43:08invoking his right to an attorney and
2:43:10made a comment to the extent of you
2:43:12don't know the whole story don't they
2:43:15all say that especially these Liars
2:43:17right you don't know the whole story
2:43:19story oh but they do well they did later
2:43:22during the course of completing the
2:43:24booking questionnaire detective
2:43:25Hendrickson asked the defon if he was
2:43:29having thoughts about ending his own
2:43:30life and his response to detective
2:43:33Hendrickson's question was that he
2:43:36didn't feel bad about what I did so he
2:43:38said I don't feel bad about what I did
2:43:41in response to that question Deputy
2:43:44plenty had a search War for the
2:43:45defendant for collecting a DNA sample
2:43:47and also for a search of his person
2:43:49along with photo documentation Deputy
2:43:51plenty reports his observations of the
2:43:53defendant while he was taking pictures
2:43:55was that he had bruising on the backside
2:43:56of one of his upper arms the coloration
2:43:59appeared to be purple and
2:44:01yellow so I don't know if that's from
2:44:03every all the activities that he was
2:44:05doing again if you want to read this

2:44:44worst way and he also lost his brother
2:44:47because of what he did of course it
2:44:48seemed like Mitch didn't speak to him at
2:44:51all again after Chandler was arrested
2:44:53and Mitch holders also testified at the
2:44:55trial and he just had this look of utter
2:44:58disgust when he had to identify Chandler
2:45:01in the courtroom I also hope that
2:45:03Katherine melinder is doing well I hope
2:45:05that she's been able to move on because
2:45:07this is something absolutely horrendous
2:45:08to try to recover from and that everyone
2:45:11affected by this horrifying crime is
2:45:13doing okay today in 2025 and Beyond
