- 1:07but the downtown here goes on forever.
- 1:09So, we're in one tiny part of the
- 1:10downtown. We're near the river.
- 1:13If it has a tourist destination, we're
- 1:15near it. So, yeah. They got a They got
- 1:17slums here. They have
- 1:19this one particular area that is
- 1:21notorious.

- 1:53China.
- 1:54Right? From that perspective, I prefer
- 1:57China than Japan. And if you've been to
- 1:59China, you'll understand what I'm
- 2:00saying.
- 2:01But this place, from my hotel room,
- 2:05cuz the whole place is smoke.
- 2:07This morning I woke up and I'm like,
- 2:09"There's no way that's pollution."
- 2:12I seen it when I was flying.
- 2:14And I was like, "No, but has to be um
- 2:17mist or a bushfire." Nah, bro. This is
- 2:20one of the most polluted cities on Earth
- 2:22and there is so much thick pollution
- 2:25uh ChatGPT explained to me that the
- 2:27reason why there's an odorless pollution
- 2:30and you may find it hard to breathe, but
- 2:32there's no odor, is because a certain
- 2:34toxin, it's like PMA.5,
- 2:37some stupid chemical compound,
- 2:39uh in the in the pollution
- 2:41binds with the humidity and creates a
- 2:43thick gray blanket that blocks your
- 2:46vision that won't leave cuz the humidity
- 2:49keeps it trapped. Brother, I'm telling
- 2:51you, if we can get a hot You can't see
- 2:53it cuz the buildings are so close, you
- 2:55know? Like you have to look. But look,
- 2:57even just there, things start smoking
- 2:59out just down the end of the street. I'm
- 3:01in my hotel and bro, the whole thing is
- 3:03like a bushfire.
- 3:05And when you walk around, you it

- 3:12you got that dry throat and it's like it
- 3:13hurts and it makes your eye water.

- 3:23just paint the picture of where we are.
- 3:26There's a place here. There is a It's
- 3:28called Hanli
- 3:32community. And it's dead set like The
- 3:35comparison is made here to when in Hong
- 3:38Kong they had that Kowloon
- 3:41Walled City and it is like bro, it's a
- 3:43full proper slum. It's a full proper
- 3:44slum here in the middle of Wuhan. You
- 3:47want to know what's even worse?
- 3:49Guess what's in
- 3:51this slum area that we're going to,
- 3:54the wet markets. The wet markets where
- 3:57the story goes the person ate the bat
- 3:58and it all started
- 4:01like the wet markets of
- 4:04Wuhan is literally two streets away
- 4:07from
- 4:09the slums we're going to eat in.
- 4:12Like it just couldn't it couldn't have
- 4:13all got any better.

- 4:18line four.

- 4:33the Wuhan wet markets.
- 4:35Um but they're closed down. They've been
- 4:36closed down since like the start of um
- 4:39since COVID started. It's been
- 4:40permanently closed. It never started
- 4:42again. But um yeah, we're going to walk
- 4:45straight past the front of it and we'll
- 4:47see it all blocked off. And literally
- 4:49about two two streets behind it.
- 4:52But by the way, people sneeze. How did
- 4:54you hear that? But people do not care.
- 4:58I genuinely feel like I should be for
- 5:00the first time in my life wearing one of
- 5:02those
- 5:03masks.
- 5:07Two streets behind those wet markets is
- 5:09the slums.
- 5:10Hanli community is the exact name of it.
- 5:13Hanli community.

- 11:01either in the 70s or it's 2000 2050, you
- 11:04know what I mean?
- 11:06All right, we're now in the suburb that
- 11:08the Wuhan wet market is in.
- 11:10This is the This in itself like who's
- 11:12ever seen the suburbs a neighborhood or
- 11:14got an image? Like what image did you
- 11:16put to your mind of that place?

- 11:21I definitely didn't get the a downtown
- 11:24hood image. I got sort of like small
- 11:28town rural vibes, industrial area by the
- 11:31water, wet markets, like sort of like a
- 11:34seafood market on a bay in a small town.

- 11:40very much in a downtown
- 11:43sort of ghetto slum
- 11:45in a city of 12 million people.

- 24:22make a a hot feed, a hot roll, a hot

- 24:32like if you put the salad in and then
- 24:34cook it,
