IMAGINE the RELIEF of having that removed!!!! — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00There's a massive stone stuck right up
- 0:02through this cow's foot and removing it
- 0:05is going to be the ultimate relief. This
- 0:08is the hoof chep and a young cow with a
- 0:10very sore foot.
- 0:12[Music]
- 0:15>> When I see you dance
- 0:20[Applause]
- 0:21slow,
- 0:23I fall into you.
- 0:28The cow in the cush is actually a young
- 0:29heer and she lives out in the field and
- 0:31she has gone incredibly lame which is
- 0:34actually pretty unusual. So, we're not
- 0:36actually going to trim her other three
- 0:37feet. It's just this front right one
- 0:39that is causing all of the bottle.
- 0:42[Music]
- 0:43Huh. I think uh I think the problem's
- 0:47fairly obvious then. Wow.
- 0:51Is it a stone? Oh, it's maybe not
- 0:52actually.
- 0:54Is it a stone?
- 0:57Yes, it is definitely a stone.
- 1:00And it's pushed right. Look at that.
- 1:04Hopefully, it doesn't go in too far.
- 1:07So, clearly, well, hopefully I don't
- 1:09need to tell you, but is she's got a
- 1:10huge stone right up inside her foot. So,
- 1:13this this claw here is almost perfect.
- 1:16It's worn down perfectly because she's
- 1:18trying to walk on that when she does use
- 1:20this foot at all. But obviously she's
- 1:22avoiding using this outer claw because
- 1:24there's a bloody great stone in it.
- 1:26First we need to get that huge stone
- 1:28out.
- 1:31I'm actually going to trim round about
- 1:32it to begin with so it's easier to come
- 1:35out.
- 1:38[Music]
- 1:39It looks like it's going to be in quite
- 1:41a long way.
- 1:45Uh uh uh uh.
- 1:52[Music]
- 1:59Oh my god. So you can see this black
- 2:03part here
- 2:05pushing right up into foot. So in other
- 2:07words, it must go all the way up in
- 2:09here. So we can take all of that away.
- 2:14The damage is clearly
- 2:17huge. I'm going to snip away all of
- 2:19this.
- 2:20It all needs to be removed anyway. So,
- 2:22might as well remove it before we try
- 2:24and
- 2:26Jeez. Oh, that is wedged in there.
- 2:32Oh, moving. There's more than one
- 2:34actually. I can hear them,
- 2:38I think.
- 2:41Ah.
- 2:45Oh, that like gong coming out. Look at
- 2:47the size of that. Bloody huge. Poor
- 2:49lass. Right. What mess has it made?
- 2:55So, all that gge coming out.
- 2:58You can see right up into inside her
- 3:01foot.
- 3:03Oh, little stones as well. I can hear
- 3:04them hitting my knife, destroying my
- 3:06blade in the process. Obviously,
- 3:20we just saw the tip of that that stone
- 3:22sticking out all last.
- 3:25But it has done but it has done some
- 3:28very substantial damage.
- 3:33Can actually see right up in there. Look
- 3:36at that for a mess. Ouch.
- 3:40Right.
- 3:44Luckily, it's pretty localized.
- 4:00Still right. I think we'll get a block
- 4:02on that right now. Actually, like that.
- 4:05Lovely.
- 4:15strip back as much of this as possible.
- 4:18Because she's going out into the field,
- 4:19it actually presents a problem with the
- 4:21block because it'll sink into the dirt
- 4:23as she walks and she won't get the full
- 4:25benefit of it.
- 4:27Oh, I can actually see it goes right up
- 4:29inside her. Look, it goes all the way up
- 4:30inside her white line there. See it up
- 4:33there? There's a cavity all the way to
- 4:34the top.
- 4:49That cavity actually extends up to about
- 4:50here. So, we need to get rid of all of
- 4:53this.
- 4:57Look at all that gum.
- 5:01Right. How are we looking?
- 5:03Sore. So right at the heart of this, you
- 5:06can clearly see where the stone has
- 5:09penetrated all the way through the foot
- 5:10and where the real problem is now. It
- 5:13actually looks a bit like an ulcer. So
- 5:14it's possible that's that it's possible
- 5:17the hole was there first and then the
- 5:19stone has gone right up into it.
- 5:20Actually just noticed that's a little
- 5:22rough, too. So I'll just reduce the size
- 5:24of that.
- 5:28>> And that's her almost done. Except she
- 5:32needs a little splash of iring. I think
- 5:34we need to wrap that. Ah, she's whipped
- 5:36me with her tail.
- 5:39[Music]
- 5:40Right. Slightly worried that there's a
- 5:43little bit of uh dermatitis on that as
- 5:45well. So, we're going to wrap it, but
- 5:47we're going to wrap it very loosely so
- 5:48it falls off in a day or two.
- 5:55Definitely don't want to leave that
- 5:56sitting there.
- 6:01It's still clearly hurting a huge
- 6:04amount, but your foot would be too if it
- 6:06had an open leion like that. But there
- 6:09is zero chance it's going to feel like
- 6:11it did yesterday tomorrow, if that makes
- 6:13sense.
