1. 0:00- Let me tell you somethin' before you go.
2. 0:01Whenever people come see me live,
3. 0:04I try to say something meaningful to people.
4. 0:07And I'm in the laugh business.
5. 0:09That's my gift.
6. 0:09That's what God gave me at birth.
7. 0:12Your gift is the thing that you do the absolute best
8. 0:15with the least amount of effort.
9. 0:17It's my God-given gift.
10. 0:19I wanna tell you somethin' that can help enrich your life.
11. 0:22See, how I got to this point,
12. 0:24where I have the life I have today,
13. 0:26and he ain't even through with me,
14. 0:29just like he ain't through with you.
15. 0:30See, God ain't through with you.
16. 0:31That's why you keep wakin' up.
17. 0:34Because it's a sure sign from God
18. 0:35that he ain't through with you
19. 0:36'cause he wakes you up in the morning.
20. 0:38When he's done,
21. 0:39you won't wake up no more.
22. 0:40(audience voices agreement)
23. 0:41But as long as you wakin' up,
24. 0:42that means he has somethin' for you
25. 0:44that he hasn't been able to give to you,
26. 0:47for whatever the reason.
27. 0:49I'm gonna help you get to that reason a little bit quicker.
28. 0:52I'm gonna tell you somethin' that I learned
29. 0:54that changed my life.
30. 0:58I was reading a book one time
31. 1:00and it had a quote in there from Albert Einstein.
32. 1:03And Albert Einstein said, "imagination is everything.
33. 1:09It's the preview to life's coming attractions."
34. 1:13If you think about that,
35. 1:14that's a really, really true statement,
36. 1:17because everything you see in this world
37. 1:18came from somebody's imagination.
38. 1:21Everything.
39. 1:22Somebody was talkin' on the phone one day,
40. 1:25on that wall phone, connected to the cord,
41. 1:28and tried to walk and it didn't go no further,
42. 1:30and he wanted to just go outside
43. 1:32and get somethin' out the car.
44. 1:33He says, somebody said, you know what,
45. 1:35I wish I could take this phone outside.
46. 1:38(audience voices agreement)
47. 1:38Everybody in here got a cell phone.
48. 1:40(audience voices agreement)
49. 1:41It was in somebody's imagination.
50. 1:44Somebody imagined that.
51. 1:45Somebody imagined everything.
52. 1:47Somebody got tired of walkin'.
53. 1:49Somebody got tired of drivin' cars.
54. 1:51Somebody said we gonna fly.
55. 1:53You not fixin' to fly.
56. 1:54Everybody in here done been on a plane.
57. 1:56(audience member laughs)
58. 1:57See, your imagination is the evidence of things not seen.
59. 2:03You know why they call it the evidence of things not seen?
60. 2:06'Cause your imagination, you the only one can see it.

62. 2:10You the only one can see it.
63. 2:12See, so all this stuff
64. 2:14you been imagining
65. 2:16was not some hocus pocus.
66. 2:18When you imagine stuff,
67. 2:20it's actually God showin' you
68. 2:22a preview of a coming attraction
69. 2:25he has for you.
70. 2:26(audience applauding)
71. 2:30That's what your imagination is.
72. 2:33Why do you keep imagining yourself with a second home?
73. 2:38'Cause God wants you to have a second home.
74. 2:40Why do you keep imagining yourself
75. 2:41in a supervisory capacity on another job?
76. 2:45Because God really wants you to have that.
77. 2:47Why you keep dreamin' of opening a business one day?
78. 2:51That's 'cause that's what God really got for you.
79. 2:54And he put it in your imagination.
80. 2:56The problem with your imagination though,
81. 2:58is you tell it to the wrong people.

83. 3:03If you wanna kill a big dream,
84. 3:05tell it to a small-minded person.

86. 3:07You can't, aw man.
87. 3:10Think about this in your life.
88. 3:12How many times have you had
89. 3:13this really incredible idea,
90. 3:15and you took it to your family and your friends?
91. 3:19You shared it with 'em, and they shot it down.
92. 3:22You know why they shot it down?
93. 3:23'Cause they couldn't see it.
94. 3:24(audience voices agreement)
95. 3:25Because God didn't put it in they imagination,
96. 3:27He put it in yours.
97. 3:29It was your evidence of things not seen.
98. 3:32See, all this stuff you've been imaginin',
99. 3:34you oughta start working on it.
100. 3:36'Cause that's what God really got for you.
101. 3:38Your real life is in your imagination.
102. 3:40I'm here to tell you that.
103. 3:42You think I'm here by accident?
104. 3:44I'm here because he put this
105. 3:46in my imagination when I was 10.
106. 3:49When I was 10, he showed me I was gonna be on TV.
107. 3:53That's all I ever wanted.
108. 3:54The assignment when I was in the sixth grade was
109. 3:57everybody write they name on a piece of paper,
110. 3:59and write what you wanna be.
111. 4:00You know what I wrote on my paper?
112. 4:02I wanna be on TV.
113. 4:03(audience member laughs)
114. 4:04Now, the problem I had, though,
115. 4:07was I used to suffer with a serious stuttering problem.
116. 4:11I couldn't talk outside my house.
117. 4:13I stuttered for years.
118. 4:15I flunked out of school.
119. 4:17I'm on my third marriage.
120. 4:19I lost everything I ever owned twice.
121. 4:21I been homeless and lived in a car for three years.
122. 4:24But at 10, though, I wrote on a piece of paper
123. 4:27I wanna be on TV.
124. 4:29So, the teacher went around the room
125. 4:31and read everybody's paper.
126. 4:32She had you stand up when she called your name,
127. 4:35and the only assignment was your name
128. 4:36and what you wanna be.
129. 4:38Doctor, lawyer, dentist, basketball player, football player.
130. 4:41I wrote I wanna be on TV.
131. 4:42She saved me for last.
132. 4:44She said, Little Stevie come to the front.
133. 4:47And I'm thinking, I'm goin' to the front
134. 4:49'cause I got the best answer.
135. 4:51(audience members laugh)
136. 4:52'Cause ain't nobody had put that on they paper.
137. 4:55She called me to the front,
138. 4:56I'm thinking I'm fixin' to get me a gold star,
139. 4:59but I was wrong about that.
140. 5:01She called me to the front to humiliate me.
141. 5:04First of all, you know I can't talk.
142. 5:07I suffered with stuttering stammer so bad, man,
143. 5:11I couldn't talk at all.
144. 5:13And that lady lit in on me.
145. 5:15"Why did you write this on your paper?"
146. 5:17And I'm standing there, I can't talk,
147. 5:20"I, I, I, I--"
148. 5:21"Who in this school ever been on TV?"
149. 5:24"I, I, I--"
150. 5:25"Who in your family ever been on TV?"
151. 5:27"I, I, I, I--"
152. 5:28"Who in this neighborhood ever been on TV?"
153. 5:31"I, I," I'm crushin', man.
154. 5:33I'm standing there, dyin'.
155. 5:34She said, "Look at you standing there, you can't even talk.
156. 5:38How they gonna put somebody like you on TV?"
157. 5:41So, every Christmas I send her a flat screen TV.
158. 5:45(audience cheers)
159. 5:48'Cause I don't want her to miss me.
160. 5:51I do not want her to miss not nare episode of me,
161. 5:55'cause I wanted her to see what God had done for me.
162. 5:58- [Audience Member] That's right.
163. 5:59- The fact that you couldn't see it,
164. 6:02it wasn't for you to see.
165. 6:04He put it in my imagination.
166. 6:06But after three years of homelessness,
167. 6:08losing everything I ever owned twice,
168. 6:11sufferin' through, flunkin' outta school,
169. 6:13go home and cut your TV on.
170. 6:15- [Male Audience Member] That's right.
171. 6:16- That little boy with the stuttering problem,
172. 6:18he all over that TV.
173. 6:20You can't cut your TV on,
174. 6:22(audience applauding, cheering)
175. 6:23you can't cut your TV on not nare day of the week,
176. 6:26and you don't see that little boy.
177. 6:27That little boy with the stutterin' problem
178. 6:29is all over that TV,
179. 6:31because God put it in my imagination.
180. 6:35All I did was hang on to that thought.
181. 6:38I just kept hopin'.
182. 6:40I just kept hopin' that what I had wrote on the paper
183. 6:43would come true.
184. 6:44I had a lot of times it wasn't 'bout no faith.
185. 6:47I didn't believe it sometimes.
186. 6:48When you homeless and livin' in a car,
187. 6:50how you see yourself as a TV star?
188. 6:52(audience member laughs)
189. 6:53But I just kept hangin' on there.
190. 6:55'Cause my mama's Sunday school teacher,
191. 6:56I kept hearin' her say, "God..."
192. 7:02- [Male Audience Member] It's okay, it's okay.
193. 7:05- "God didn't bring you this far to leave you."
194. 7:08(audience voices agreement)
195. 7:09God didn't bring you this far to leave you.
196. 7:12Why do you think He keeps wakin' you up?
197. 7:14'Cause he got more for ya.
198. 7:16He got way more for ya.
199. 7:18He got plans for ya.
200. 7:20But he needs your faith.
201. 7:22He just needs you to call on him.
202. 7:23He needs you to dust off your imagination,
203. 7:26and just got for it.
204. 7:27You got to try.
205. 7:28Quit waking up
206. 7:29thinkin' you ain't got no say so in your life.
207. 7:31You have a choice in this matter.
208. 7:33You can't stop what happened to you,
209. 7:35but you can doggone sure do somethin'
210. 7:37about what happened to you.
211. 7:38Life is 10% what happened to you,
212. 7:40it's 90% what you do about it.
213. 7:42Somebody in your family gonna die.
214. 7:44Somebody in here gonna get fired.
215. 7:46Somebody here gonna get an eviction notice.
216. 7:48Somebody gonna get laid off.
217. 7:49Somebody's company gonna close.
218. 7:52That's life.
219. 7:54Somebody you love gonna break up with you.
220. 7:57That's life.
221. 7:59But what you gonna do about it, though?
222. 8:01Since it's gonna happen anyway.
223. 8:04Trust me, go home and ask God to open up your imagination.
224. 8:08And then pursue it with everything in you,
225. 8:10and watch what he do for you.
226. 8:11'Preciate y'all.
