- 0:10So right talking about panel connection
- 0:12we're going to be using three of these
- 0:14panels as an example. So these are poly
- 0:16crystalline panels as we listed. So
- 0:19let's quickly dive into the connection.
- 0:22We have two types of connection. The
- 0:23first one with is parallel connection.
- 0:26Par connection occurs when all the
- 0:28positive goes to the positive terminal.
- 0:31This is example of the positive terminal
- 0:33and is a male connector and where the
- 0:36negative goes to the negative terminal.
- 0:39So all positive goes to positive and all
- 0:41negative goes to negative. That's
- 0:43parallel. For series positive of one
- 0:45panel goes to negative of the other
- 0:47panel. Series connection increase the
- 0:50voltage and keeps the current the same.
- 0:52while parallel connection increases the
- 0:54current and keeps the voltage the same.
- 0:57So in this case we're going to be doing
- 0:58parallel connection.
- 1:00So positive goes to positive
- 1:06once I connect it
- 1:10positive goes to positive
- 1:15and negative
- 1:18goes to
- 1:23negative goes to negative.
- 1:28So you see
- 1:33so
- 1:35you see so parallel connection
- 1:39has simply occurred. So you can now send
- 1:43the cable into the building after this
- 1:46connection has been done. All right, we
- 1:49are taping up our connection. Now we are
- 1:51using adhesive tape to tape up all the
- 1:54joinings that we did. So we are taping
- 1:56it up.
- 1:59So remember parallel connections are
- 2:02only used for 12vt systems. Y series
- 2:05connections are used for hybrid system
- 2:08which is the 24 volt and 48 volt system.
- 2:12So please take note of that whenever you
- 2:13are doing your panel connection. That's
- 2:16very very important.
- 2:19So we are done with the connection of
- 2:22the panels. So this is the panel cable.
- 2:25This is 4 mm copper. So what we did
- 2:30all red to red, all black to black. So
- 2:32this is the cable that we sent down from
- 2:34positive and negative of the last panel.
- 2:37So we done with that. So this our PWM
- 2:40charge controller. This our PWM charge
- 2:42controller.
- 2:44Now what we have to do is in the change
- 2:46over of the building we have to
- 2:50construct our own feeder.
- 2:52Okay. This is 30 amp plug head that we
- 2:55construed and we linked it. We choose
- 2:58the down part of the change as the speed
- 3:02of solar to the building. All right. So
- 3:05this is the cable that we used.
- 3:10This is the wire. So now we have to
- 3:13connect our battery. Now you know can't
- 3:16insert this cable into the controller
- 3:18without the battery first. So let's
- 3:22connect our battery now. So this is a
- 3:24ring spanner
- 3:26that we using because it's a notch
- 3:29is noted. So we are using ring spanner.
- 3:33So this is a ring spanner.
- 3:36to
- 3:40open it.
- 3:48All right. So, we are opening.
- 3:51So, we have already designed two cables
- 3:54that we'll be using for battery
- 3:56connection. We going to choose this as
- 3:57our positive.
- 4:00So, this is the positive terminal which
- 4:02is red.
- 4:04So
- 4:06since we using this as our positive.
- 4:14So
- 4:16we'll be connecting our inverter at once
- 4:19to it since our inverter also requires
- 4:22that same kind of connection.
- 4:26So we using modify sign for this
- 4:28example.
- 4:32So,
- 5:18All right. So, we're connecting the
- 5:20inverter.
- 5:22We're connecting the inverter to
- 5:25the positive cable we used
- 5:28our system,
- 5:31right?
- 5:33So we're using not so
- 5:37we have to pin the cable for this series
- 5:40for it to understand properly.
- 5:43So the boot cable goes
- 5:46to each other and
- 5:49the nut has to pass through both of
- 5:52them. So you see
- 5:54tighten both of them together.
- 5:59So
- 6:05So now we tighten it
- 6:11using our 12 SP
- 6:25to avoid
- 6:27to avoid current loss. You have to
- 6:29tighten it very well.
- 6:43So you see the way it
- 6:51keeping
- 7:06Okay. So you see now that we have gotten
- 7:11our positive we have to send it to the
- 7:13controller.
- 7:19So this the trunking pipe. This is where
- 7:22the wire passes through.
- 7:25So we send this to the top.
- 7:32Send this to the top
- 7:36into
- 7:38the positive part where they indicate
- 7:41battery. So you see the controller
- 7:46here is battery. You see the sign here
- 7:49is so you see the design. So we putting
- 7:51it in the battery
- 7:53using the
- 8:02input that's the port going through
- 8:04that's going to insert the cable. So
- 8:09it
- 8:11pass it through the channel properly.
- 8:14So see that's it for positive. So we do
- 8:18the same
- 8:20for negative cable. We choose our cable
- 8:25of them together
- 8:27using our
- 9:03There's a little spark. So you see that
- 9:05shows that the inverter is connected.
- 9:10So we tighten
- 9:13same titly.
- 9:19All
- 9:31right. So, same thing we did for the
- 9:34positive pass it via the
- 9:39see have to arrange it properly
- 9:44fitting
- 9:46it by the trunk. have to do this
- 9:49carefully
- 9:53via the phone.
- 9:55Okay.
- 9:57And insert in the negative
- 10:00just like before. So now you see that
- 10:03the controller is on.
- 10:08So you tighten.
- 10:13As soon as you insert the battery, the
- 10:15controller will turn on and then tighten
- 10:17it firmly. Okay. So you see we have
- 10:20connected our battery successfully
- 10:23positive to positive, negative to
- 10:25negative. The controller is on show
- 10:2913.7 vol. So once it's fully charged
- 10:35remember this cable
- 10:38I'll see you
- 10:43properly.
- 10:47Thank you.
- 11:09Okay. So same thing positive goes to
- 11:13positive
- 11:15then
- 11:24okay then finally goes to negative.
- 11:30So if you observe something
- 11:32automatically the test panel
- 11:35the screen and it's charging.
- 11:38Okay. So you tighten it.
- 11:50So
- 11:53we successfully done with installing
- 11:56solar panels into control and battery
- 11:59into controller. Now to send light into
- 12:02the building,
- 12:07we mount our inverter
- 12:09so that it can reach the source cable.
- 12:13So
- 12:15mount it
- 12:19to the wall.
- 12:26So
- 12:32what do we do this?
- 12:48also
- 12:51in the parts.
- 12:58So
- 13:05spread. So all you have to do is insert
- 13:10the building
- 13:14the inverter.
- 13:19All right.
- 13:21So once that is done, we have to turn on
- 13:23our inverter.
- 13:25There's a switch here. So we turn it on
- 13:34it can send out light into the building.
- 13:42So should change over there's light.
- 13:47So now let's change the building is on
- 13:52utility power currently on generator
- 13:54power. So let's change it to solar now.
- 14:01See J is gone. And now we're on solar.
- 14:06So you see there's lights. Show them.
- 14:09There's light in the box. There's lights
- 14:12in the extension.
- 14:15Okay. Phones are charging. There's also
- 14:18light here.
- 14:23All right. So we are finally done with
- 14:25the installation. So you see the system
- 14:27is running.
- 14:30System is running.
- 14:32Controller is charging.
- 14:35Okay.
- 14:37So everything is
- 14:40completed.
- 14:42There's light in the building. So that's
- 14:44it guys for a simple 12vt setup.
