  1. 0:00People underestimate how much effort it
  2. 0:02takes to stick with one thing rather
  3. 0:04than jumping to the next shiny
  4. 0:05opportunity every 6 months.
  5. 0:08The price of wanting to be good at
  6. 0:09everything is being good at nothing.
  7. 0:12And so, this happens at all stages in
  8. 0:15business. So, being good at everything
  9. 0:16versus being good at nothing, typically
  10. 0:18you could think about that as a business
  11. 0:19owner in terms of the number of
  12. 0:21services, the number of products that
  13. 0:22you try to provide, the number of SKUs,
  14. 0:24because you're like, "Well, they want
  15. 0:25this. Well, they want this. Well, they
  16. 0:26want this." The thing is is that if you
  17. 0:28give customers everything they want,
  18. 0:29they will create their own demise.
  19. 0:31Nobody wants a thing that has
  20. 0:33everything. It doesn't work.
  21. 0:35Right? This is where simplicity, this is
  22. 0:37where design, this is where elegance,
  23. 0:38this is where moving friction. All of
  24. 0:40these these things matter, but they are
  25. 0:41strategies. They are decisions, and
  26. 0:43decisions comes from the Latin which
  27. 0:44means dicidere, which means to cut off,
  28. 0:47which means which path do we remove when
  29. 0:49we make decisions? And when people are
  30. 0:52afraid of making decisions, they say yes
  31. 0:53to everything, because they're so afraid
  32. 0:55of saying no.
  33. 0:59And so, the effort that it takes to
  34. 1:02compound is the length of time you have
  35. 1:05to say no to everything else.
  36. 1:07It is the paths untaken, the opportunity
  37. 1:10that you believe in your mind
  38. 1:11imaginarily that you're missing out on
  39. 1:14is the price of getting good at any one
  40. 1:16thing.
  41. 1:17And most people can't succeed on
  42. 1:19whatever they're going for if you just
  43. 1:21give it 6 months.
  44. 1:22100 days.
  45. 1:24That's less than 6 months.
  46. 1:26But if you just did one thing for that
  47. 1:28period of time, you'd be amazed at what
  48. 1:29could happen. There is a company that is
  49. 1:31beating Y Combinator in terms of its
  50. 1:33returns. It's called HF0. They've like
  51. 1:35tripled Y Combinator's returns. Let me
  52. 1:37tell you their operating model. So,
  53. 1:39first off, of course, they've got a lot
  54. 1:40of founders that that that apply because
  55. 1:42they now have a reputation, but I think
  56. 1:44something they were able to have they
  57. 1:45promised like the average uh company
  58. 1:47they had like 70% of their companies get
  59. 1:49to 2 million in ARR within 12 weeks,
  60. 1:51which is pretty crazy, right? 70% very
  61. 1:53high success rate. So, how are they able
  62. 1:54to do this? This is what they've
  63. 1:55operationalized. They operationalized
  64. 1:58putting someone in a hole and not
  65. 1:59letting anything bother them.
  66. 2:01So, this is a residence. People fly out,
  67. 2:03founders fly out, they go in these
  68. 2:05windowless rooms in the basement, and
  69. 2:07they take care of literally everything
  70. 2:09that the founder has, and they remove
  71. 2:11every distraction.
  72. 2:13And so, the only thing that they have to
  73. 2:15confront is the work in front of them.
  74. 2:17And so, what they have found is that the
  75. 2:18compounding effect of having full
  76. 2:20context of big, hard problems in your
  77. 2:22head, where you don't have to switch
  78. 2:24contexts uh because you have to take a
  79. 2:26call or do a meeting or someone says
  80. 2:28something mean to you online, where you
  81. 2:30actually can just wade through and swim
  82. 2:32through these complex problems, the
  83. 2:34compounding returns that comes from that
  84. 2:36time of uninterrupted flow, that is
  85. 2:38where huge amounts of value get created.
  86. 2:41And it is impossible to do that if every
  87. 2:436 months you change your mind.
  88. 2:45If you like this video and you're
  89. 2:46business owner who wants to break
  90. 2:47through your current revenue ceiling, I
  91. 2:48just took every lesson from scaling 10
  92. 2:50businesses past 10 million and three
  93. 2:52businesses past 100 million into a
  94. 2:53completely free scaling roadmap that
  95. 2:55I've used to go from zero to one, zero
  96. 2:57to 10, and zero to 100 plus. And so, you
  97. 2:59can click here and you can check it out.
  98. 3:00Again, absolutely free, and since you're
  99. 3:02business owner appreciates you, and uh
  100. 3:04enjoy.
