  1. 0:00starting a YouTube channel today, I
  2. 0:02would do probably everything completely
  3. 0:03different. Now, I've been creating
  4. 0:05YouTube videos for a long time. And I've
  5. 0:09created YouTube videos in a variety of
  6. 0:10niches. And so, I feel pretty good idea
  7. 0:13of what's worked. Uh more importantly, I
  8. 0:16know a lot of what doesn't work. I'm
  9. 0:17looking at some of my channels now. Uh
  10. 0:19this channel, I think is the first one,
  11. 0:21is over 7 years old. And so, I made
  12. 0:25And so, I I made a lot of mistakes and I
  13. 0:28made a lot of
  14. 0:30money mistakes. I left a lot of money on
  15. 0:31the table. And what I want to do is I
  16. 0:34want to
  17. 0:36tell you how I would start
  18. 0:39if I were just getting started today.
  19. 0:40Now again, I I just looked My oldest
  20. 0:43YouTube video appears to be about 7
  21. 0:45years old.
  22. 0:46And in those 7 years, I have done a lot.
  23. 0:50I've made a lot of money with my YouTube
  24. 0:52channel, which I'm really grateful for.
  25. 0:54And I've made a lot of mistakes and I
  26. 0:56want to reveal what you should do so
  27. 0:58that you can kind of skip the mistakes
  28. 1:01and the frustration.
  29. 1:02And so, if we just take a look at my
  30. 1:03screen here,
  31. 1:05um my oldest video on this channel is 7
  32. 1:08years old. You can see I I started off
  33. 1:10talking about Amazon Web Services. My
  34. 1:13most viewed videos have 1.1 million
  35. 1:15views from 3 years ago.
  36. 1:17Um my first real channel when I got
  37. 1:19serious was about security cameras and
  38. 1:21it's still up today. You can see this
  39. 1:22video is 7 years old.
  40. 1:24Um
  41. 1:25it one video has over 1,000 views,
  42. 1:28283,000 views from 7 years ago. And then
  43. 1:31the faceless video that I was using
  44. 1:33mostly AI for, my oldest video is I
  45. 1:37started off showing my face.
  46. 1:38And but but the oldest video on this
  47. 1:40channel, I think, is
  48. 1:42um 4 years ago. But the most popular
  49. 1:45videos have over 104,000 views from just
  50. 1:486 months ago. So, I have been through a
  51. 1:51lot, I've done a lot, and I want to
  52. 1:53share with you what you should do so
  53. 1:55that you can be successful. Okay? So,
  54. 1:58you can skip the line, skip the
  55. 1:59frustration because if you let it,
  56. 2:02YouTube will be frustrating and
  57. 2:03maddening and will wear you out and burn
  58. 2:06you out before you even really get
  59. 2:08started. All right. So, let's go ahead
  60. 2:10and get into the things that I would do
  61. 2:13if I were just starting over from today.
  62. 2:16The first thing that I would do is I
  63. 2:17wouldn't rely on getting paid by the
  64. 2:19YouTube Partner Program. I would not
  65. 2:21focus on subscribers. I wouldn't even
  66. 2:24really focus on watch time because when
  67. 2:27you focus on those things, you start
  68. 2:29creating content that isn't necessarily
  69. 2:33in your best interest. You start chasing
  70. 2:35views. You start trying to go viral. You
  71. 2:37start comparing yourself to other
  72. 2:40creators that are out there and not in a
  73. 2:42good way. You should definitely be
  74. 2:44comparing and contrasting what you're
  75. 2:46doing to what others are doing, but
  76. 2:48there's a healthy way to do it and
  77. 2:50there's an unhealthy way to do it.
  78. 2:52For a long time, I was I was doing the
  79. 2:54unhealthy way
  80. 2:56where I was getting frustrated because
  81. 2:59I was doing the same type of content as
  82. 3:01another creator and I wasn't getting the
  83. 3:03views and the watch time. So, stop.
  84. 3:06Number one,
  85. 3:07don't focus on the YouTube Partner
  86. 3:09Program. Don't focus on getting
  87. 3:11monetized by the YouTube Partner Program
  88. 3:13because that's going to lead you astray.
  89. 3:15That's going to ultimately frustrate you
  90. 3:17and you're not going to get where you
  91. 3:18want to go.
  92. 3:20Number two, and I think this is probably
  93. 3:221A, is actually start with the end in
  94. 3:25mind. Okay? And what's the end? What's
  95. 3:28the end goal? Why do we create YouTube
  96. 3:30videos? We create YouTube videos to make
  97. 3:31money. I know people are going to say,
  98. 3:33"Well, I do it for funsies."
  99. 3:35If you did it for funsies, you wouldn't
  100. 3:37put it on the internet. You would keep
  101. 3:38it on your hard drive and you'd probably
  102. 3:41um you'd probably
  103. 3:43maybe share the video with your friends
  104. 3:45and family. But if we're being honest,
  105. 3:48one of the reasons why you're creating
  106. 3:50YouTube videos
  107. 3:51and and you can lie to yourself if you
  108. 3:53want to, but one of the reasons why
  109. 3:54you're creating videos is the
  110. 3:55opportunity
  111. 3:57to make money.
  112. 3:58Right?
  113. 4:00What you should be doing, what I should
  114. 4:02have done is I should have started with
  115. 4:04the end. How am I going to get paid
  116. 4:06first?
  117. 4:07Don't start like once you
  118. 4:10once you establish your niche and who
  119. 4:11you want to help or who you're creating
  120. 4:13content for, start with how you're going
  121. 4:15to get paid because if you don't have a
  122. 4:17clear path of how you're going to get
  123. 4:19paid, you're going to start doing those
  124. 4:21things like chasing views and trying to
  125. 4:23go viral and your content is going to be
  126. 4:25scattered. One minute you're creating
  127. 4:26content about Amazon Web Services, the
  128. 4:28next minute, like I was the next minute
  129. 4:30you're creating review type videos and
  130. 4:33your content's all over the place. And
  131. 4:35when your content's all over the place,
  132. 4:36YouTube has no idea
  133. 4:38who to serve your content to. So, I
  134. 4:40think it's really really important to
  135. 4:42start with the end. I personally, I feel
  136. 4:45like the best way to monetize is with
  137. 4:47digital products and we'll talk a little
  138. 4:48bit more about that in just a moment,
  139. 4:50but I think that is the best way to
  140. 4:52monetize
  141. 4:53your YouTube channel.
  142. 4:55So, that way you're not chasing brand
  143. 4:58deals and sponsorships. You're not
  144. 4:59chasing the YouTube Partner Program. But
  145. 5:01ultimately, write down number one, your
  146. 5:03niche, who you want to help and and
  147. 5:05niche down. Um
  148. 5:07Niche down a little bit.
  149. 5:09Number one, who you're going to help,
  150. 5:10who you want to serve. Number two, how
  151. 5:12you're going to get paid.
  152. 5:14You should at least have one direct way
  153. 5:16where people are going to pay you. Okay?
  154. 5:18Really important. Even if you don't have
  155. 5:19it set up yet, have a plan for getting
  156. 5:22paid.
  157. 5:24Um and this is more for content. Use the
  158. 5:27piggybacking strategy. One of the things
  159. 5:29that I tried to do in the very beginning
  160. 5:31is I tried to be kind of unique. Tried
  161. 5:34to be
  162. 5:35um
  163. 5:36tried to be different and YouTube
  164. 5:39doesn't want different. It sucks to say,
  165. 5:42but for the most part, YouTube wants to
  166. 5:44show videos that have been proven to
  167. 5:46work. And the best way to show videos
  168. 5:48that have been proven to work is to uh
  169. 5:51piggyback off of what's already working.
  170. 5:53Uh now, just give you a quick example.
  171. 5:55And the reason why I brought I wanted to
  172. 5:56show you these videos is, you know, this
  173. 5:59video, 10 Best Neutral Paint Colors
  174. 6:00Sherwin-Williams for a Timeless Look,
  175. 6:02100,000 views from 6 months ago. You can
  176. 6:05see that this channel only has 3,000
  177. 6:06subscribers.
  178. 6:08This is
  179. 6:09I want to say almost a direct copy-paste
  180. 6:12copy pasta from a video that had
  181. 6:14performed well. So, you can see there.
  182. 6:17This video, the the way that I went
  183. 6:18about this is I found videos that had a
  184. 6:21great view-to-subscriber ratio. So,
  185. 6:2219,000 views, 7,000 subscribers, and I
  186. 6:27just made the exact same video. But not
  187. 6:30the exact same video. Um you can see my
  188. 6:32video is a little bit longer, it's a
  189. 6:33little bit more thorough, but you can
  190. 6:35see, you know, this person did it too
  191. 6:37from 10 months months ago.
  192. 6:39Uh 10 Best Sherwin-Williams Interior
  193. 6:41Paint Colors for for 2025. What I could
  194. 6:44do is make this exact same video, but
  195. 6:46for 2026.
  196. 6:48And it has been proven to work. You
  197. 6:50know, if we scroll through, you can see
  198. 6:52time and time again
  199. 6:54this video has been proven to work. And
  200. 6:57so, that's a signal to me to make this
  201. 7:00video. All right. In fact, what I would
  202. 7:03do to take it a step further is I keep
  203. 7:05seeing the same YouTube channels pop up.
  204. 7:07Why don't I
  205. 7:09go look over on this YouTube channel and
  206. 7:11look at the videos that are performing
  207. 7:12well in the last
  208. 7:14a few months. Right? So, this video,
  209. 7:165,000 views, um I would want to make it
  210. 7:19because it has a good view-to-subscriber
  211. 7:21ratio.
  212. 7:23That's the right way to get attention.
  213. 7:25Find things that are working recently.
  214. 7:26You can go back as far as probably 1
  215. 7:28year.
  216. 7:29And find things that are working so that
  217. 7:31you can uh piggyback off of that. I call
  218. 7:34it the piggybacking strategy.
  219. 7:36Right? Use videos already working.
  220. 7:38In addition, the next thing that you can
  221. 7:40do is you can niche bend ideas. Now, I
  222. 7:42didn't uh
  223. 7:43I I didn't know it was called niche
  224. 7:45bending. I I called it going out and
  225. 7:48finding things that were working in in
  226. 7:50other niches and combining it with
  227. 7:52things that were working in my niche.
  228. 7:54Right? So,
  229. 7:56I I've seen a couple people call it
  230. 7:58niche bending,
  231. 7:59um but I'll give you an example. Niche
  232. 8:01bending.
  233. 8:02This video here
  234. 8:04that has
  235. 8:051.1 million views from 3 years ago is a
  236. 8:09niche bending example. This I tried it
  237. 8:12was really popular. In fact, if I go uh
  238. 8:15if I go here and I type in um I tried
  239. 8:19staying
  240. 8:21at the most dangerous hotel.
  241. 8:24You can see this got 24 million views.
  242. 8:28Um I tried staying in the most dangerous
  243. 8:29So, this has 375,000 views.
  244. 8:33I survived
  245. 8:35could be a another example. I tested
  246. 8:39could be another example. You can see
  247. 8:40this got 43
  248. 8:43million views. And so, what I did was I
  249. 8:44said
  250. 8:45and and this is the niche bending of it.
  251. 8:47I said, "Okay, how can I use I tested
  252. 8:49because it's a pretty common thing. I
  253. 8:51stayed.
  254. 8:53I did something. How can I combine this
  255. 8:58with a video that is already proven to
  256. 9:00do very well
  257. 9:01in my niche? Oop, let me go forward one.
  258. 9:04Uh popular.
  259. 9:06And so, you can see the top two, four,
  260. 9:09six videos um
  261. 9:11top seven out of eight top uh
  262. 9:14six videos are all I tried it. I tried
  263. 9:16it earn blah blah blah. I tried it
  264. 9:18because this video earn $7 every 60
  265. 9:21seconds was a video that was going viral
  266. 9:23at one point on on YouTube.
  267. 9:26And so,
  268. 9:27if you look,
  269. 9:29you wonder where all of my subscribers
  270. 9:31come from, it comes from I tried it. I
  271. 9:33tried it. I tried it. And that's the
  272. 9:35other thing I I should put in there, but
  273. 9:37I I didn't is just keep doing what
  274. 9:40works. And I'm going to add that real
  275. 9:42quick so that you can see it. Um
  276. 9:45I'm going to put do the same thing.
  277. 9:47Do the same thing.
  278. 9:51Uh
  279. 9:52just keep
  280. 9:54doing
  281. 9:56what works.
  282. 9:58Okay?
  283. 10:00And it might feel like it's boring and
  284. 10:02repetitive, but this I tried it series
  285. 10:05proved to work for my channel, and so
  286. 10:07you just keep going back to the well.
  287. 10:10Right? The only reason why I I stopped
  288. 10:12doing the I tried it thing
  289. 10:14uh quite honestly is one, a lot of these
  290. 10:16videos
  291. 10:18from the original creators are being
  292. 10:19taken down.
  293. 10:21Like this video, if you try and look for
  294. 10:23earn $7 every 60 seconds or just by
  295. 10:25watching videos, this video is no longer
  296. 10:27on YouTube. In fact, the channel I think
  297. 10:29has been deleted.
  298. 10:32And so, I kind of had to stop because
  299. 10:33people stopped making these types of
  300. 10:35videos. Um and I didn't want to risk
  301. 10:37getting
  302. 10:39um getting my account deleted as well,
  303. 10:41so I I kind of had to stop it. In fact,
  304. 10:43you know, when I start making these I
  305. 10:45tried it, there were a whole slew of
  306. 10:48YouTube video YouTube channels in my
  307. 10:50niche that were making videos
  308. 10:51piggybacking off of what I was doing.
  309. 10:53And so, you know, if you want to be a
  310. 10:55trendsetter, you want to be unique, you
  311. 10:56want to be cute, combine two things.
  312. 10:58Combine what works outside of your
  313. 11:00niche, so the I tried it with what is
  314. 11:02working inside of your niche.
  315. 11:04I guarantee if you try and find these
  316. 11:06videos, a lot of them are gone uh off of
  317. 11:09YouTube completely.
  318. 11:10Uh so, yeah, let's go back. So,
  319. 11:13uh
  320. 11:13do the same thing. Just keep doing the
  321. 11:15same thing over and over again. If it if
  322. 11:17it's proven to work on your YouTube
  323. 11:18channel, just keep doing it. Um
  324. 11:22it might get repetitive and boring and
  325. 11:25tedious, but that's what YouTube wants.
  326. 11:27YouTube wants to keep people on the
  327. 11:28platform, and the best way to do it is
  328. 11:30to serve them what they already are
  329. 11:33interested in.
  330. 11:34The next thing that you should do, if
  331. 11:36you want to make long-term money, you
  332. 11:38want to make money outside of the
  333. 11:40platform and have more stability and
  334. 11:42security, start sending emails now.
  335. 11:45Start building a mailing list, start
  336. 11:46email marketing. And essentially what
  337. 11:48email marketing uh consists of is you
  338. 11:50build a a one-page landing page, um you
  339. 11:54give away you build a lead magnet, so
  340. 11:56you give away something for free, and
  341. 11:57then you do autoresponder emails. You
  342. 11:59send out emails automatically on your
  343. 12:01behalf. Now, those emails can be sending
  344. 12:04people back to your content, which is
  345. 12:05really popular. It can be selling a
  346. 12:08product or service, or it could be
  347. 12:10recommending other people's products and
  348. 12:12services.
  349. 12:13But the benefit of of collecting emails
  350. 12:16is that emails are the one thing that
  351. 12:19you can take with you. If I lose my
  352. 12:21YouTube channel tomorrow, I still have
  353. 12:23access to 20,000 emails.
  354. 12:26Um
  355. 12:2720,000 emails
  356. 12:29that
  357. 12:31that people have given me throughout the
  358. 12:32years. So, start email marketing now.
  359. 12:35And if you don't have a product or
  360. 12:37service,
  361. 12:38start email marketing. And then ask your
  362. 12:41your people on your mailing list, what
  363. 12:43do they struggle with? And then they
  364. 12:44tell you what they struggle with, and
  365. 12:46then go out and build it, and then sell
  366. 12:47that to them, and they'll say you're a
  367. 12:49genius.
  368. 12:50Okay?
  369. 12:52Um
  370. 12:53really important, start with a simple
  371. 12:55digital product. Create something small
  372. 12:58to sell to your audience.
  373. 13:00Um I'm talking about templates, cheat
  374. 13:02sheets, workbooks, planners, um swipe
  375. 13:06files,
  376. 13:07something small and specific that will
  377. 13:09help your target audience achieve a
  378. 13:11specific result. Really, really
  379. 13:13important, because when you create and
  380. 13:14sell a digital product, that puts money
  381. 13:15directly into your pocket. You're not
  382. 13:17splitting the revenue with anybody. Um
  383. 13:20and it will give you more freedom. It'll
  384. 13:21give you more freedom earlier, and that
  385. 13:24way when you have freedom earlier. So,
  386. 13:25like let's say you create a digital
  387. 13:27product five videos in, you can start
  388. 13:29making money five videos in,
  389. 13:32and you're not worried about the YouTube
  390. 13:33Partner Program. You're not worried
  391. 13:34about saying and doing things that might
  392. 13:37get you demonetized. Right? One of the
  393. 13:39issues with the YouTube Partner Program
  394. 13:41is
  395. 13:42you have to play by their rules. You
  396. 13:44have to tow the line. But if you're if
  397. 13:47you've got your own product, your own
  398. 13:49digital products and services,
  399. 13:50you can play by your own rules. You can
  400. 13:53build your own income outside of
  401. 13:55YouTube, and you're not dependent on a
  402. 13:57platform that ultimately doesn't care
  403. 13:59about you. They um
  404. 14:02you're not a partner to YouTube. You are
  405. 14:04just a you're kind of almost like an
  406. 14:06employee um or a contractor or
  407. 14:08subcontractor, and they can pull the
  408. 14:10contract at any point. So, I want you to
  409. 14:12create a a simple digital product. You
  410. 14:15can create it using uh Canva.
  411. 14:18It can be, like I said, a template based
  412. 14:20on whatever your niche is and and what
  413. 14:22they need. You can create it with a
  414. 14:23Google Doc and save it as a PDF, and a
  415. 14:26simple PDF will will get the issue uh
  416. 14:29will solve the problem. My first digital
  417. 14:30product was a 60-second business
  418. 14:33blueprint. It was a step-by-step guide
  419. 14:36on how to create TikTok videos back
  420. 14:38before people were using TikTok to make
  421. 14:40money. This is back when people were
  422. 14:42just dancing on TikTok.
  423. 14:44This is before you could put a link
  424. 14:46and I think even go live.
  425. 14:48And so, um I sold that to
  426. 14:52uh internet marketers, affiliate
  427. 14:54marketers,
  428. 14:55people that wanted to make money from
  429. 14:56TikTok. But create something small and
  430. 14:58specific
  431. 15:00for your target audience. Really
  432. 15:01important.
  433. 15:03Next, I would have a weekly affiliate
  434. 15:05marketing video. So, one video focused
  435. 15:08on affiliate commissions. Now, you
  436. 15:11should be able to go out and find at
  437. 15:14least one video. For example, I could do
  438. 15:17the best tools for um making digital
  439. 15:20products or the best tools for content
  440. 15:22creation. And then I
  441. 15:24I put together together a list of tools,
  442. 15:26apply to become an affiliate, and put
  443. 15:28those links in the description. The
  444. 15:30great thing with affiliate marketing,
  445. 15:31and you can do the same thing with
  446. 15:32painting, um the great thing with
  447. 15:34affiliate marketing is
  448. 15:36you don't have to worry about shipping
  449. 15:37or customer service. Uh people will
  450. 15:39discover your videos for weeks, months,
  451. 15:40and years to come, and they'll click on
  452. 15:42those affiliate links, and it's another
  453. 15:44income stream. You don't have to focus
  454. 15:46your entire YouTube channel on affiliate
  455. 15:48marketing, but it's a nice little
  456. 15:50additional revenue stream that you can
  457. 15:52build up over time and get paid by a a
  458. 15:55different party. So, we've got multiple
  459. 15:57revenue streams coming in just from your
  460. 16:00YouTube channel. But if you look at
  461. 16:01this,
  462. 16:02you know, this Ring video doorbell video
  463. 16:04here uh earned me a bunch of
  464. 16:06commissions. I've made a lot of money
  465. 16:09with just this one video. And it's
  466. 16:11simple.
  467. 16:13Oh, that's a younger me, but if we look,
  468. 16:14you can see I've got affiliate links
  469. 16:16right in here sprinkled in,
  470. 16:18and then I've got a link to my
  471. 16:20my blog. I don't know if this blog is
  472. 16:22even still up.
  473. 16:23Okay, yeah, this blog is is not working.
  474. 16:27Um but you can see, this is a
  475. 16:306-minute video.
  476. 16:31Uh it's a talking head video.
  477. 16:34Not a great video, didn't get a ton of
  478. 16:35of positive responses, but the people
  479. 16:38that did appreciate the video, they
  480. 16:39clicked on this affiliate link, and they
  481. 16:42give me money. Right? It's your
  482. 16:44opportunity to partner with established
  483. 16:46brands without
  484. 16:49having to form like a formal formal
  485. 16:51relationship. People trust and
  486. 16:53understand Ring, the Ring video
  487. 16:55doorbells, and so they feel comfortable
  488. 16:58clicking on that link and buying.
  489. 17:00But I would dedicate at least one video
  490. 17:02per week
  491. 17:03to um affiliate marketing.
  492. 17:06I think that's really import- important,
  493. 17:07so skip that. Um next, really, really
  494. 17:10important is add a CTA or call to
  495. 17:12action. Most people
  496. 17:14don't know what to do unless you tell
  497. 17:16them what to do.
  498. 17:17Okay? A lot of
  499. 17:19most people will just watch your video,
  500. 17:22and
  501. 17:24that's it.
  502. 17:26What you should be doing in your videos
  503. 17:29is, you know, maybe teaching something,
  504. 17:30explaining something, and then give them
  505. 17:32instructions on what to do next. For
  506. 17:34example, later on in this video, I might
  507. 17:36say something like, "Hey, if you want to
  508. 17:38learn how to create your first digital
  509. 17:39product and sell it through your YouTube
  510. 17:41channel, click the first link in the
  511. 17:43description and download the Beyond
  512. 17:45AdSense workbook." That's my workbook
  513. 17:47that I'm selling. Right? Tell viewers
  514. 17:50what to do next, because if you don't
  515. 17:51tell them what to do, they're not going
  516. 17:53to do it. And somebody else is already
  517. 17:54telling them what to do, and they're
  518. 17:56making
  519. 17:57money off of your customer. So, you're
  520. 17:59warming them up, you're getting them
  521. 18:00excited and fired up, and then they're
  522. 18:02going on to the next video where someone
  523. 18:05is adding a call to action, and um and
  524. 18:08then they're they're buying and they're
  525. 18:09spending money that could have been
  526. 18:10spent with you. You're you're leaking
  527. 18:12money. And your call to action can be to
  528. 18:14subscribe. It can be to share the video.
  529. 18:17Um or it can, like I said, be to join
  530. 18:20the mailing list that you've created or
  531. 18:22built out, or the digital product that
  532. 18:23you're selling. But really important to
  533. 18:26make sure that you have a call to action
  534. 18:28in every one of your videos.
  535. 18:30Um next, really important is instead of
  536. 18:33trying to go viral,
  537. 18:35instead of um creating content that's
  538. 18:40trendy all the time, try and create
  539. 18:42content where people are actually
  540. 18:44searching it. Make videos that people
  541. 18:46are looking for. And the benefit of
  542. 18:48search-based videos is that your
  543. 18:50search-based videos are going to be
  544. 18:52relevant for years. Right? The reason
  545. 18:55why this has 283,000 views over 7 years
  546. 18:59is because people are always asking how
  547. 19:01to install Ring video doorbell. And the
  548. 19:03simple thing that you can do is you can
  549. 19:05say something like um we can start off
  550. 19:08with a a keyword. We can say like like
  551. 19:10how to lose weight,
  552. 19:13and then go through each letter of the
  553. 19:14alphabet. So, how to lose weight Q,
  554. 19:16quickly. Okay, take a screenshot, write
  555. 19:18all of those down. That might be an
  556. 19:20idea. Or what you can uh uh this is
  557. 19:22called the Alphabet Soup method, where
  558. 19:24you just go through each letter of the
  559. 19:26alphabet
  560. 19:27and record
  561. 19:28the um the the responses. Now, what you
  562. 19:31could do is go to how to lose weight
  563. 19:33quickly while pregnant, hit the space
  564. 19:35bar, and then go through each letter of
  565. 19:37the alphabet again.
  566. 19:39You know?
  567. 19:40And then just record all of those.
  568. 19:43And now you've got an infinite list, but
  569. 19:46but this is just step one. So, what I
  570. 19:48would do is how to lose weight while
  571. 19:50pregnant third trimester. Now, I want to
  572. 19:52take a look and see if
  573. 19:54um if it has a good view to subscriber
  574. 19:57ratio, but this is from 4 years ago. So,
  575. 19:59maybe
  576. 20:01uh may maybe I think about
  577. 20:04improving this video.
  578. 20:06Right? And so, the great thing is is
  579. 20:09someone will be searching. I guarantee
  580. 20:11you there probably hundreds of people,
  581. 20:12if not thousands of people, searching
  582. 20:14how to lose weight while pregnant in the
  583. 20:15third trimester.
  584. 20:17And so, your content can get
  585. 20:18discoverable. I remember Brian G Johnson
  586. 20:21once said, you know, make a video
  587. 20:23that'll get you 20 views every day. Now,
  588. 20:2520 views doesn't feel like a lot,
  589. 20:26doesn't seem like a lot, but if you get
  590. 20:2820 views a day, 20 views, that should be
  591. 20:31the minimum, the baseline. 20 *
  592. 20:33uh 365,
  593. 20:35that gives you 7,000 views a year.
  594. 20:38And if you have 7,300 views a year,
  595. 20:417,300,
  596. 20:42and you do that with, I don't know,
  597. 20:44let's say 100 videos, you do one video
  598. 20:47every 3 days,
  599. 20:49that gives you 730,000 views
  600. 20:52for a year.
  601. 20:54You know, or if you do the math,
  602. 20:56you do it every e- over over 200 videos,
  603. 21:01that gives you over
  604. 21:03um
  605. 21:041.4 million views, right? In a year.
  606. 21:07Which is pretty good.
  607. 21:09And if you've got the monetization down
  608. 21:11pat, you can take 1. 1.4 million views,
  609. 21:15maybe you get 1% of those people to buy
  610. 21:18a product from you. So, we could say
  611. 21:20like 1.4 million
  612. 21:23uh
  613. 21:24million times 1%.
  614. 21:28That comes out to 14,000.
  615. 21:31So, if we take 14,000, 14,000,
  616. 21:34and we multiply that by uh seven, cuz
  617. 21:36we're going to sell sell a $7 product,
  618. 21:39that gives you $98,000
  619. 21:42in 1 year, just from the digital product
  620. 21:44that you created. That doesn't include
  621. 21:46affiliate marketing, it doesn't include
  622. 21:47if you ever join the YouTube Partner
  623. 21:48Program.
  624. 21:49So, you can see how, you know, small
  625. 21:51numbers they they add up to big numbers.
  626. 21:54If you're just getting 20 views uh
  627. 21:5720 views
  628. 21:59per day per video
  629. 22:01for the entire year.
  630. 22:03Okay?
  631. 22:04So, that's why
  632. 22:05Hopefully, this is all starting to make
  633. 22:07sense, why you don't want to go viral.
  634. 22:09Right? You're You don't want to chase
  635. 22:11ads because these small numbers that I'm
  636. 22:13giving you actually add up to something
  637. 22:15pretty substantial
  638. 22:17if you if you've got a plan, if you're
  639. 22:19putting the plan in place, if you're
  640. 22:20implementing the plan.
  641. 22:22Uh next, one video, one purpose. Every
  642. 22:25video should lead somewhere. That's kind
  643. 22:26of like adding that CTA, and that
  644. 22:28somewhere should be to follow you, to
  645. 22:31your mailing list, to the digital
  646. 22:32product that you're selling, or to an
  647. 22:33affiliate uh product that you're
  648. 22:35promoting. Make sure every video has a
  649. 22:38purpose and it's just not aimlessly
  650. 22:41wandering around.
  651. 22:42Really, really important.
  652. 22:44Make sure every every video has a job,
  653. 22:47and you're not just creating empty
  654. 22:48videos or wasteful videos.
  655. 22:51Right?
  656. 22:52And as I mentioned earlier, I'm going to
  657. 22:54give you this call to action. If you
  658. 22:56want to
  659. 22:58make money from your videos, check out
  660. 23:00the Beyond AdSense workbook.
  661. 23:03It is a step-by-step workbook that
  662. 23:05you're actually going to write in, where
  663. 23:07you uh are are given the tools to create
  664. 23:11your first digital product and how to
  665. 23:13implement it. Okay? You're going to get
  666. 23:15everything that you need to be
  667. 23:16successful creating and selling a
  668. 23:18digital product all through your YouTube
