If I Lost Everything, I'd Do THIS To Reach $10,000/Month ASAP — Transcript

- 0:00So, you want to make $10,000 a month,
- 0:02but you don't know which route to take.
- 0:04Most people take the traditional route.
- 0:06They go to school, study hard for their
- 0:08exams, get good grades, go to
- 0:11university, and then get a 9-5 job.
- 0:15Sorry to burst your bubble, but the
- 0:16average person makes $63,795
- 0:20per year, according to the latest data
- 0:23from the Social Security Administration.
- 0:25That's $5,316
- 0:28per month. So, nowhere near goal of
- 0:30$10,000 a month. Even worse, this data
- 0:33includes people who've been in the game
- 0:35for ages. So, if you're just starting
- 0:37out in your 20s, you'll probably be
- 0:39making way less than 5K a month if you
- 0:41stick to this old-school path. But, hey,
- 0:44let's say somehow you hit the jackpot
- 0:46and score a 9-5 gig that pays you 10K a
- 0:48month. Maybe you become a hotshot doctor
- 0:51or lawyer. Sounds great, right? Well,
- 0:53not so fast. You'll still be trading
- 0:55away your time and freedom for that
- 0:57paycheck. This was the route that my
- 0:59parents expected me to follow. They
- 1:01believed it was the only way to a secure
- 1:03future. Maybe some of you are sitting
- 1:05there right now feeling that same
- 1:07pressure with your parents expecting the
- 1:10same of you. However, deep down, you
- 1:12feel like there must be a faster way you
- 1:14can make over 10K per month with more
- 1:16freedom. And that's exactly where
- 1:19the new route comes in. Don't worry, I
- 1:22know this sounds like it's leading up to
- 1:23some sort of sales pitch, but I'm not
- 1:25going to try and sell you anything. So,
- 1:27feel free to relax. You can follow this
- 1:29route completely for free. And how you
- 1:31navigate it will depend on you. Many
- 1:34successful people like Steven Bartlett,
- 1:36Joe Fazer, and Ali Abdaal are taking
- 1:38this route already, but they aren't
- 1:40really talking about it. It also doesn't
- 1:42matter how old you are. You can switch
- 1:44to this new route no matter what stage
- 1:46of the traditional route you're
- 1:47currently on. However, the longer you
- 1:49wait, the tougher it gets to make that
- 1:51big jump. Why? Well, as you keep going
- 1:54down this usual path, life starts piling
- 1:57on more stuff. You know, like a
- 1:59mortgage, a partner, kids, the whole
- 2:01shebang. Don't get me wrong, you can
- 2:03still switch gears at any stage, but
- 2:05trust me, it's way easier if you do it
- 2:08sooner rather than later. I left school
- 2:10with no money or qualifications, so I
- 2:12was forced down this route early on, and
- 2:15I believe that's one of the key reasons
- 2:17I became a millionaire in my 20s and
- 2:19have been able to compound that wealth
- 2:21ever since. Hopefully, you're convinced
- 2:23that this new route to making a over
- 2:25$10,000 per month is at least worth
- 2:27learning about. So, let me break down
- 2:29the three steps involved. Step one is
- 2:32consume. Believe it or not, you don't
- 2:34know everything. If you think you do,
- 2:37then you're delusional and arrogant. So,
- 2:39what's the solution to this? It's
- 2:41simple, consuming knowledge. Think of it
- 2:44this way, it's like gathering resources
- 2:46in Minecraft. You need the right
- 2:48materials to build, survive, and
- 2:50ultimately conquer. However, the
- 2:52education system never really teach you
- 2:55how to find information worth consuming.
- 2:57It's not as simple as reading a boring
- 2:59textbook or a quick Google search. So,
- 3:02here's some advice. Before you even
- 3:04reach for your laptop, you need to
- 3:05identify what you want to learn. This
- 3:08needs to be some kind of high-income
- 3:10skill. Some examples that come to mind
- 3:12are video editing, high-ticket sales,
- 3:14web design, coding, graphic design, and
- 3:17copywriting. Honestly, there are so many
- 3:20out there. Just pick one that you feel
- 3:22you'd already have a little bit of a
- 3:23natural gift for. It's always easier to
- 3:26sharpen a strength than develop a
- 3:28weakness. Once you've narrowed it down,
- 3:30this area will become your focus. Now,
- 3:32you need time to seek out credible
- 3:34sources. I know I'm biased, but I think
- 3:36the best place to do this is on YouTube.
- 3:39Find some trustworthy experts with large
- 3:41audiences. Watch their videos and note
- 3:44down their key points. You need to
- 3:46extract the key information, not copy
- 3:49down their life story. Ask yourself,
- 3:51what point is that person actually
- 3:53making and what lesson is behind their
- 3:55story or experience. Once you've done
- 3:57that and your notes are looking solid,
- 3:59I'd start to look at the types of people
- 4:01that are watching and engaging with that
- 4:03content. If you notice they have a
- 4:05strong community, then get stuck in. I'd
- 4:08even go the extra mile and head over to
- 4:09Reddit and Discord. This way, you'll be
- 4:12able to connect with people that are
- 4:13passionate about the same niche as you.
- 4:15Engage with them, ask questions and
- 4:18learn from their experiences. I
- 4:19guarantee you, joining these types of
- 4:21groups will give you a proper insight
- 4:23into the real struggles that people are
- 4:25facing, which is far more valuable than
- 4:27watching only the creator's videos. It's
- 4:30one thing to learn from top creators
- 4:31online, but when you dive into these
- 4:33communities, you get a front row seat to
- 4:36see what's really going on, giving you
- 4:38access to priceless knowledge. Trust me,
- 4:41this will come in very handy later on. A
- 4:43word of warning though, it can be very
- 4:45easy to fall into the trap of only
- 4:47watching one person or even just
- 4:49watching YouTube videos. If you want to
- 4:52get the most from this, then you need to
- 4:53be consuming from a variety of different
- 4:55people and mediums. In other words, you
- 4:58really shouldn't be shying away from
- 5:00books. I'm a huge fan of books. They're
- 5:02like a shortcut to someone's entire life
- 5:04experience, but I'm dyslexic, so plowing
- 5:07through a whole book can be a real pain
- 5:09sometimes. That's why I'm all about
- 5:11these short-form guides. For me,
- 5:13short-form is the go-to for diving deep
- 5:16into books like The Intelligent Investor
- 5:18and gaining in-depth insights. They're
- 5:20the best summary service out there and
- 5:22let me learn from five books in the time
- 5:24to read one. I'll drop a link in the
- 5:26description that you can use to try it
- 5:28for free and get 20% off. Step two is
- 5:30apply. If you want to get rich, then you
- 5:33have to apply the things you consume.
- 5:35This is super important as you need to
- 5:37get out there in the real world and test
- 5:38what you've learned. The best way to do
- 5:40this is to consume, then apply, consume
- 5:43some more, and then apply again. It's a
- 5:45cycle that only stops when you want to
- 5:47stop progressing. Let's say you've
- 5:49decided to consume content on coding.
- 5:52Now is the time to make your first
- 5:53simple app. It sounds daunting and at
- 5:56first, you're probably going to suck,
- 5:58but that's okay. You've got to give
- 6:00yourself permission to fail. Mark
- 6:02Zuckerberg didn't create Facebook for
- 6:03his first project. J.K. Rowling got
- 6:06rejected 12 times before she published
- 6:09Harry Potter and Beyoncé made hundreds
- 6:12of songs before her first smash hit. In
- 6:14the words of Mark Zucker berg himself,
- 6:16"The greatest successes come from having
- 6:18the freedom to fail." As soon as you
- 6:20feel confident enough, start charging
- 6:22for your skills. If you edit videos,
- 6:24then take on a few lower paying clients
- 6:27at first and work your way up. Just
- 6:29think, all you need to do is get five
- 6:31clients paying $2,000 a month or 10
- 6:34clients paying $1,000 a month for your
- 6:36video editing services and you've
- 6:38already hit the 10K per month target.
- 6:41The better you get, the more you'll be
- 6:43able to charge and the easier it will be
- 6:45to make more and more money. However,
- 6:47this is a game of diminishing returns,
- 6:50meaning the hours you put in learning
- 6:51the skill at the start will have more
- 6:53impact on your income than the hours
- 6:55later down the line. It's like when you
- 6:57first start to work out at the gym, you
- 6:59get newbie gains. It's best to consume
- 7:02and apply until you get to the point
- 7:03where you aren't noticing an increase in
- 7:05the amount you're able to charge for
- 7:07your services. This is how you know
- 7:09you've reached pretty much expert
- 7:11status. During this time, make sure to
- 7:13keep note of all the challenges you face
- 7:16and problems you overcome. These will
- 7:18become stories you can draw on heavily
- 7:20in the future. Believe it or not, during
- 7:23the apply stage, the most important
- 7:25thing you're gaining isn't the money,
- 7:27but instead the experiences themselves.
- 7:29Once you're an expert in a specific high
- 7:31income skill, it can be very easy to get
- 7:33stuck here trading every hour you have
- 7:36to earn 10K per month, but remember, the
- 7:39goal isn't to reach 10K and lose all
- 7:41your freedom. So, instead, I recommend
- 7:43doing these two things. Firstly, start
- 7:46to scale your high-income skill into a
- 7:48real business. I know you might be
- 7:49thinking, "It's already a business."
- 7:51But, if you have to be working to
- 7:53generate income, then the truth is you
- 7:56just have a high-paying job. So, how can
- 7:58you scale a high-income skill into a
- 8:00proper business? Well, I know a guy that
- 8:03started editing shorts for YouTubers. He
- 8:05was working every hour under the sun.
- 8:07However, one day, he just got fed up
- 8:10with working all the time and not having
- 8:12the freedom to take vacations. So, he
- 8:14started to note down all the steps he
- 8:16would take to make the shorts. From the
- 8:18way he selected the clips to the font he
- 8:20used and the time of day he posted to
- 8:22social media. He didn't know it at the
- 8:25time, but he was creating a system. He
- 8:27realized that he wasn't going to be able
- 8:29to find someone to do all the tasks like
- 8:31him. However, he could split the tasks
- 8:34into separate jobs such as time stamper,
- 8:37text editor, and poster. This way, he
- 8:39could find far less skilled people to
- 8:41fill in the roles for him. So, he could
- 8:43focus on the quality control and take on
- 8:46more clients. You can do this with any
- 8:48high-income skill. The system will also
- 8:50become super useful for the next thing I
- 8:52highly recommend doing, teaching others
- 8:55your high-income skill. That brings me
- 8:57on to step three, educate. Most of the
- 9:00young millionaires that have gained
- 9:01success recently have made their
- 9:03fortunes teaching others. I'm talking
- 9:05Iman Gadzhi, Ali Abdaal, Graham Stephan,
- 9:08the list goes on. The education industry
- 9:11is booming, and I believe everyone
- 9:13making decent money from some kind of
- 9:15high-income skill should also have an
- 9:17education business. I mean, just imagine
- 9:19you created a course that you sold for
- 9:21$100. All you'd have to do is sell that
- 9:24course 100 times in a month, and you'd
- 9:26hit that 10K per month. The great thing
- 9:28is you only have to make it once, and
- 9:30then you can sell it again and again,
- 9:32getting your freedom and time back.
- 9:34Education products don't just have to be
- 9:36online courses. You could also start
- 9:39exclusive membership sites, subscription
- 9:41podcasts, communities, personalized
- 9:44coaching, and more. These types of
- 9:46businesses are extremely cost-effective
- 9:48to set up and run. They also have the
- 9:50upside of being extremely scalable as
- 9:52they generate predictable reoccurring
- 9:54revenue. Now, reoccurring revenue is the
- 9:57holy grail in the business world. I
- 9:59mean, there's a reason why everything is
- 10:01turning into a subscription nowadays. If
- 10:03you know how much money is coming in
- 10:05every month, then it gives you the
- 10:07confidence you need to expand your
- 10:09business and eventually hire people
- 10:11without worrying too much about your
- 10:13cash flow. I know multiple people making
- 10:15millions using this business model all
- 10:17from their laptop. Look, I know it might
- 10:19sound super complicated, but all you
- 10:22have to do is sign up to an all-in-one
- 10:24platform like Kajabi, and they'll handle
- 10:26all the business stuff for you so you
- 10:28can focus on creating your education
- 10:30products. Just make sure the platform
- 10:32you choose to host your course or
- 10:33community doesn't take a cut from your
- 10:35revenue and that everything remains
- 10:37controlled and owned by you. That's why
- 10:39I like Kajabi as you keep 100% of what
- 10:42you earn. They also give you lots of
- 10:44analytic tools, easy payment options,
- 10:47email marketing tools, and customizable
- 10:49website templates all built in. To build
- 10:52a successful business on Kajabi, all you
- 10:54need is 10,000 loyal fans buying a $100
- 10:57product and you've got a million-dollar
- 11:00education business. I'll talk about how
- 11:02you can build an audience like this in a
- 11:04second. I reached out to Kajabi to see
- 11:06if they'd be interested in sponsoring
- 11:08this portion of the video. They agreed
- 11:10and are offering a free 30-day trial to
- 11:13start your business if you go to
- 11:15kajabi.com/mark.
- 11:17So, feel free to head over there and
- 11:19sign up. Once you're ready to host your
- 11:21education product and make some
- 11:23predictable reoccurring revenue, you
- 11:25might be thinking that giving away your
- 11:26secrets will impact your earnings.
- 11:28However, honestly, only a very small
- 11:31percentage of people actually take
- 11:32action. That's what separates us from
- 11:35most people. And honestly, if you don't
- 11:38teach others, then someone else will.
- 11:40But why would someone listen to you and
- 11:42not someone older and more experienced?
- 11:45Relatability. It's as simple as that.
- 11:48You've recently been in their shoes and
- 11:50can relate to how they're feeling much
- 11:52better than an old professor that's
- 11:53teaching from textbooks. That's part of
- 11:55the reason my channel has been so
- 11:57successful. I've been there and done it.
- 11:59I know what it's like starting with no
- 12:01money or qualifications, and I put in
- 12:04the hard work. That's why you can't just
- 12:06skip to this step before actually
- 12:08applying what you consume online. There
- 12:10are too many parrots out there. Your
- 12:12real stories and experiences will make
- 12:14you stand out. But what if I get lots of
- 12:17hate? Look, what's scarier to you?
- 12:20Looking back 10 years from now, seeing
- 12:22your life exactly as it is, the same
- 12:24job, same income, same routine, or
- 12:27facing a few harsh comments online? To
- 12:30build any kind of audience online,
- 12:32you're going to have to deal with a
- 12:33small group of people who don't like
- 12:35you. But that's how you know you're
- 12:37doing it right. The worst thing to be is
- 12:39vanilla. So, how can you actually build
- 12:42an audience and educate people through
- 12:43your experiences? Most people will tell
- 12:45you to start with your story. But the
- 12:48issue with this is that no one actually
- 12:50knows who you are yet. You don't have
- 12:52that social presence online to make
- 12:54people care. Sure, sometimes out of the
- 12:57blue these videos can hit an algorithm,
- 12:59but these people never build a lasting
- 13:01following. I would personally start with
- 13:03posting content that directly speaks to
- 13:06your audience and their needs. You could
- 13:08do a combination of videos, blog posts,
- 13:11or tweets. You need to talk about a
- 13:13shared problem and teach people how to
- 13:16fix that problem through actionable
- 13:18advice. Really think back to when you
- 13:19started and all the problems you were
- 13:21facing. This is your superpower as you
- 13:23can really tap into their thoughts. When
- 13:26people scroll through social media, the
- 13:28posts that make them stop are often the
- 13:30posts that make them feel something.
- 13:32Posts that hit that emotional trigger.
- 13:34So, hit them hard in your first line.
- 13:37Make them stop and think, "Wow, this is
- 13:39just how I feel." One of the best tips
- 13:41is to use something I created called the
- 13:43Impact Principle. I is for inspire. You
- 13:47want your audience to feel motivated by
- 13:49your story, showing them that change is
- 13:51possible. M is for message. You should
- 13:54always try to have a clear and concise
- 13:56message that's not only easy to
- 13:58understand, but easy to remember. Every
- 14:01time they think of that message, they'll
- 14:03think of you and your content. P is for
- 14:05practical. You should always be
- 14:07providing actionable steps that they can
- 14:10take immediately to improve their
- 14:11situation. Forget all that mindset
- 14:14stuff, that's not helping anyone. A is
- 14:16for authentic. You should always be
- 14:18yourself and speak about your own
- 14:19experiences from the apply stage to
- 14:22really resonate with your audience. C is
- 14:25for connection. You need to build a
- 14:27really strong connection with your
- 14:29audience by addressing their needs and
- 14:31concerns. So, reply to comments, and
- 14:33within C is another C really,
- 14:36conversation. You need to be creating a
- 14:38conversation to help build a strong,
- 14:40haha, you guessed it, community. All the
- 14:43C's, there's so many. Lastly, we have T,
- 14:47which is for timing. I know what you're
- 14:48thinking, finding the best time to post
- 14:51using stats. Nope, that's not what I'm
- 14:53about to say. For timing, it's more
- 14:56about releasing your content at the
- 14:58right time to maximize its relevance and
- 15:00impact. So, jump on trends and follow
- 15:03the news so you stay relevant. It's all
- 15:05about catching and riding the waves
- 15:07which will shed light on your other
- 15:09content. If you aren't comfortable
- 15:10sitting down in front of a camera and
- 15:12talking, that isn't the only strategy
- 15:15that works. Look at people like Steven
- 15:17Bartlett. He failed at vlogging for many
- 15:19years, and then he started his podcast,
- 15:22Diary of a CEO. He now gets the experts
- 15:25on and draws out their insights for his
- 15:27audience. There is no right way to go
- 15:29about it. It's just trial and error
- 15:32until you find what works for you. So,
- 15:34don't be afraid to try a few different
- 15:36approaches. So, are you going to keep
- 15:38going down the traditional route or are
- 15:40you going to hop on to the new route and
- 15:42start making over a 10k a month? I'll
- 15:44leave that down to you. If you want to
- 15:46know the seven things to avoid if you
- 15:48want to get rich, then I'll leave that
- 15:50video right up there. But don't click on
- 15:52it just yet. Make sure to subscribe if
- 15:54you want to grow your wealth, okay?
- 15:56I'll see you over there.
