0:00The first question that we are going to
0:02be asking and answering tonight is a
0:03question of identity.
0:06Is a question, who am I? Please write it
0:08down. Who am I? Is a profound question
0:12that attempts to bring to your
0:14consciousness the concept and the value
0:17of identity.
0:21Psychologists and religious leaders and
0:23even scientists agree at this point that
0:26an individual who does not know himself
0:28or herself is already on the path to
0:31doom and the path to defeat. There are
0:34many people today who are under the
0:37pressure to become several things
0:39depending on who is putting the pressure
0:41on them. Hallelujah. And it is simply
0:44because they have not taken out time to
0:46study their identity. Identity is a very
0:50powerful thing. It's a very profound
0:53thing.
0:54Sadly, our world is gradually losing the
0:56sense of identity and it's resulting to
0:59all kinds of pressure. People trying to
1:02show that they are making it. Preachers
1:04not being patient with process until
1:06they become
1:07business people, leaders, and so on and
1:09so forth. Identity crisis is a dangerous
1:12psychological cancer. It can destroy a
1:16great destiny. It is important that from
1:19the onset, these are not questions you
1:22should ask at the end of your life.
1:24These are the questions that guarantee
1:27your reaching the end successfully.
1:30Are we together now? There are certain
1:32questions you have the liberty of asking
1:34as you go, but these are questions that
1:37ARE BEST ANSWERED BEFORE THE journey or
1:40at the infancy of the journey. So that
1:43if you HAVE TO TURN BACK, YOU WOULD NOT
1:45HAVE wasted years before making a
1:47U-turn.
1:49Are we learning now? The thing about the
1:51school of the spirit and the school of
1:53destiny is that even if you are in
1:55error, moving in the wrong direction for
1:5720 years, by the time you find the right
2:00path, God will mandate that you return
2:03back and start the journey afresh. You
2:05would think you would just shift to a
2:07new lane. It doesn't work like that in
2:09the spirit.
2:12Hallelujah.
2:13Imagine spending 10, 15 years of your
2:16life following a path that seemed and
2:18right onto you only to find out that is
2:21a way of destruction, is a way of
2:23failure and then you have to make that
2:25U-turn again.
2:28The same distance you wasted arriving at
2:30your place of error is the same distance
2:32you will spend to come back to the point
2:34where you will start again.
2:40I'm praying that you will pay attention
2:41to the things that you are hearing so
2:43that you will not have to answer this
2:45question when your children are
2:46answering their own.
2:48Did you hear what I said?
2:50There are many people who will refuse to
2:52answer this question and they will be
2:54forced to repeat the classes in the
2:56school of the spirit and now answer this
2:58question together with their children or
3:01answer this question together with their
3:03grandchildren AND LIFE HAS NO RESPECT
3:06for time
3:08that was ill-invested.
3:10If you did not invest in your time to
3:12maximize moments, you would your
3:14children will join you in the school of
3:16the spirit, your grandchildren will join
3:18you in the school of the spirit and they
3:20will ask you why are you answering this
3:22question at this point.
3:28The question of identity. Psalm 49 and
3:31verse 20.
3:35The Bible says a man that is in honor
3:38and understandeth it not
3:41is like a beast in the field that
3:44perisheth. Do you know what that means?
3:46Assuming you are royalty for instance,
3:48maybe you came from a royal family, but
3:50you were never told for whatever reason,
3:52you will act like a slave and even be
3:55victimized by people who you were
3:57supposed to be higher than in terms of
4:00the privilege that you have. Many
4:02believers because they do not understand
4:04their identity,
4:06they go through all kinds of
4:08psychological swings trying to become
4:11the kind of person who will gain an
4:13applaud from people. Let me tell you
4:15this, one of the cardinal pillars for
4:18effective leadership and becoming an
4:21influence is having a strong conviction
4:24of your identity. Because as you sojourn
4:26through life and destiny, hear me ladies
4:28and gentlemen, culture will try to
4:31redefine you.
4:32The failure of people will try to
4:34redefine you. The thinking of the time
4:37will try to redefine you. For instance,
4:40in our world right now, when you see a
4:41young man
4:43and perhaps PRESSING HONORABLY
4:46to his life and destiny, chances are
4:48excellent that he will feel like a
4:49failure because he does not have a car,
4:53he does not have maybe some house and so
4:56on and so forth. And there are many
4:58PEOPLE WHO ARE ACTUALLY DOING WELL, but
5:01simply because society has given a wrong
5:03parameter to measure masculinity, a
5:06wrong parameter to measure growth, a
5:09wrong parameter to measure ministry, a
5:11wrong parameter to measure success.
5:14The fake life that is eating up the
5:16average young man in our society is
5:19credited directly to identity crisis.
5:24Hallelujah.
5:25So, even if I'm a dummy, once I am in a
5:28car and I'm driving it, I immediately
5:31have a sense of superiority to everybody
5:33thinking. That is the reason why many
5:35young people today have found themselves
5:37in all kinds of destructive vices.
5:41Almost every week, the law enforcement
5:44agents are apprehending someone who is
5:47involved in some kind of shady practice,
5:49some kind of destructive practice. And
5:52you ask the young man, "What exactly are
5:54you looking for?"
5:58The cliche in our world today is I want
6:00to make it. Who is the I? That is the
6:02question we want to ask. Who is the I
6:04who wants to make it? Society has told
6:06us that we are failures when certain
6:09things does not happen, when certain
6:10things does not add up. Are we together?
6:13And some of you right now in this place,
6:15you are you literally you would have
6:18been BETTER [music and singing] BY FAR
6:20IF YOU HAD THAT SENSE of self-security
6:23for want of word.
6:25Upon the strength of who God has made
6:27you.
6:28Some gentleman looked at you and said
6:30you are not a beautiful lady and that
6:32destroyed your sense of self-worth and
6:34you started acting and doing things,
6:36even stupid things because you are
6:38trying to fit.
6:41There is a cancer [music and singing]
6:42that is eating up young people in our
6:44world today. It's the pressure to
6:46belong. Have you heard such a statement?
6:49So, they create mundane parameters that
6:52you must qualify to join certain groups
6:56or certain [music] people and they are
6:58not all wrong, but there are some that
7:00are so destructive.
7:04There are groups and people today that
7:07if you are a sound Christian and you
7:08love the Lord, living a responsible life
7:11as a young man and a young lady, those
7:14groups will send you away. They will say
7:15you are too innocent to be part of them.
7:17They want bad people. It's It's like a
7:20credit.
7:21If you say you are a well-behaved
7:22person, they say, "No, you are too naive
7:24and you are too stupid to work with us.
7:26We need people who are prone to
7:27destruction, prone to anger, prone to
7:30rebellion." Are we together? Someone who
7:33can beat anyone once you are angry and
7:35then they call it all kinds of names.
7:37And some of us who were once
7:39well-behaved are now becoming something
7:42that we were not designed by God because
7:45of the pressure to belong.
7:49Dressing,
7:50speaking,
7:52social media.
7:54There are people who were dressing well
7:55until they met certain groups of people
7:57and they told them, "If you keep
7:58dressing like this, you will not marry."
8:00Now that you have changed, what has
8:02happened?
8:05Say deception.
8:07Yeah.
8:09The basic definition of witchcraft is to
8:11cause someone to err using the tool of
8:13deception.
8:15Hallelujah. How about young men
8:18with the value of respect and dignity
8:21and honor, but then here comes a group
8:24of very confused but arrogant people who
8:27now begin to put pressure on your
8:28identity. And they say, "Mr. Man,
8:31at the rate at which you are going you
8:32will never get established. There is a
8:34way we do things." And after 2 years of
8:38foolish work you find yourself in the
8:40prison, perhaps for the next 10 years,
8:42perhaps for the next 15 years. And the
8:44thing is that when you get into trouble,
8:47all the people who motivated you into
8:49that trouble will not come and own up
8:51and say, "We are here for you."
8:54Mhm.
8:56Who am I?
8:57is a question that I had to answer in my
8:59life. If you know who you are, you will
9:02reject the pressure from men to become
9:05anything God did not say about you.
9:07Hallelujah. For instance, I learned from
9:10this revelation that having a car and
9:13having a house is not what defines me.
9:15I'm not saying those things are wrong,
9:17but if I suddenly feel good about my
9:20life just when I have a car and a house,
9:22it's a risk.
9:23What then happens when the car spoils?
9:26Your value for yourself also drops.
9:30So, if I stand in the midst of someone
9:32who has a better dressing than me, I
9:34begin to feel like A FAILURE. BY WHAT
9:37PARAMETER? WHO BROUGHT THESE PARAMETERS?
9:40It's time for you to begin to probe the
9:42things that represent
9:43[music and singing] the epicenter of
9:44your self-worth.
9:46Now, I'm not saying to not be challenged
9:49because there are some of us who really
9:50need to be challenged. If people don't
9:52challenge you, you will never leave that
9:54psychological cocoon that you are in.
9:57So, being challenged is a good thing for
9:59many people.
10:01Hallelujah.
10:02Yes.
10:04There are people today, for instance,
10:07who are not earning
10:09up to
10:10say 100,000 a month, but every great
10:14hotel, maybe in this city or restaurant,
10:16you will find them there.
10:18You are here again, say yes.
10:21Who is paying for this? No, by myself.
10:2420,000 out of a salary of 100,000.
10:28You didn't tithe, you didn't give, you
10:30didn't save, you didn't do anything.
10:32AND THEN, WHILE THE food is there, you
10:35now take this thing people take, and
10:37then you send it and say, "Look, maybe
10:39God is good or to God be the glory."
10:43And then the people you hope to see, as
10:46always, you know I'm not being
10:47sarcastic, I'm probing you.
10:50What you see today that you call
10:52Koinonia, ladies and gentlemen, is not
10:55just a journey of faith alone, is a
10:57journey of patience.
11:00Life challenge our identity in various
11:03ways, but thanks be to God for the
11:06resilience to remain.
11:08When you find out what GOD HAS SAID
11:10ABOUT YOU, it doesn't matter who
11:12misunderstands or many of us today want
11:15great organizations, you want to lead
11:18ministries, you want to lead businesses,
11:21and someone says stupid and you are
11:22crying.
11:24Am I Is this how I am?
11:26You mean this sister just looks at me
11:27and says I'm But the question is, are
11:29you stupid?
11:31Has the word of God ever told you you
11:32are stupid? Those who mentor and lead
11:34you, have they ever told you you are
11:35stupid? So, someone who has no
11:37investment whatsoever in your life wants
11:40to come and stake claim a stake in your
11:42mind, and you give them permission, you
11:44give them entrance into your mind.
11:47Before I listen to you, I must see the
11:48contribution you have made to my
11:50destiny.
11:52You don't come as a stranger and want
11:54the seat
11:56of somebody who has made meaningful
11:58investments.
11:59Is someone learning now?
12:02So, you must know how to edit opinions
12:04and throw rubbish to the to the bin and
12:06keep moving. Someone looks at you and
12:08said, "You look like you are not a
12:10powerful Christian. From you I I suspect
12:13that I said this lady, you will most
12:15likely not be a great lady.
12:17Congratulations for your ignorance.
12:19Watch as you learn and ask God for
12:20forgiveness for the remaining part of
12:22your life because as for me, I'm
12:24evolving because like our people sang,
12:27the word of God is with me, the Holy
12:29Spirit is with me, God has placed models
12:32before me and a determination to
12:34succeed, no, there is no power in
12:36existence that sustains what it takes to
12:38keep you down.
12:42Are we together?
12:44I don't have the time to tell you
12:46everything the Bible says you are, but I
12:47will keep reminding you, my dear people.
12:49Among the many things the Bible says
12:51about you is that you are light, you are
12:54salt. Say I am light.
12:56Let the devil hear it.
12:58Say I am salt.
13:00Yes, he says you are wonderfully and
13:02fearfully made. Yes, sir, he says you
13:04are the apple of his eyes.
13:06If God IS THAT VULNERABLE ABOUT YOU,
13:09DON'T LET SOME GUY WHO has not made any
13:11meaning to your life, is still figuring
13:13his left from his right, just comes and
13:15uses his ignorance to define you and you
13:18go back crying and begin to live a life
13:20that is outside the script of your
13:22destiny.
13:27Our world has gained mastery in bullying
13:31people psychologically.
13:34Oh, look at this lady, she's not fine.
13:36Look at this guy, his head is too big.
13:38What kind of human being is this?
13:46Many of our children today are joining
13:47occults and joining all kinds of satanic
13:50things thanks to [music] those kinds of
13:53negative statements.
13:55So, when you tell a lady she's not
13:57beautiful enough, when you tell a guy
13:59he's broke, he doesn't have money
14:00enough,
14:02YOU PUT PRESSURE ON THEM TO START DOING
14:05A LOT of things.
14:07But in the name of Jesus, I'm telling
14:08you now, everything Satan has been
14:11whispering to your ears that did not
14:13come from scripture, we decree and
14:15declare may those sounds cease in your
14:17life.
14:22Is someone learning?
14:25Sinach taught us powerfully.
14:28I live a life of favor.
14:31I know why.
14:34There's a part of the song I like.
14:36Take [music] a look at me, I'm a wonder.
14:38Listen, you've been singing it ace.
14:41Listen, this is how you people will
14:44You have been crying with that song in
14:46your head. Now, allow me to teach you
14:48what the song means.
14:55You hear what that song says? It says,
14:56"Take a look at me, I'm a wonder." It
14:59doesn't matter what you see now.
15:01Sounds to me like scripture.
15:06It doesn't matter what [music] you see.
15:08Don't let the 20 naira trouser deceive

15:11The person inside is a company that is
15:14rising.
15:19Don't be deceived that after the grace,

15:48other versions that are still in you?
15:51You have seen the weak one. Thank God
15:53you have seen the weak one once and for
15:55all, SO THAT EVERY OTHER THING YOU SEE
15:57is the strong one evolving.

16:06Man of God, I know you've not started
16:08ministry, but it doesn't mean the call

16:12You think we are always celebrated? No.
16:14I told my dear people in Zaria, you work

16:20It does not start with doing. It starts
16:22with believing something about yourself.

16:31When people hang themselves, what do you
16:33think leads them to go and get a rope?
16:36You know how painful it is to hang
16:38yourself and watch yourself die? Yet,
16:40there are people who prefer that because
16:42life has told them something.
16:45I was told a story. I think it's just a
16:47maybe some [music]
16:48fiction to illustrate a point that
16:50somebody was angry with life
16:53and he was wearing some clothes that
16:55were not really nice and he was on his
16:56way to go and hang himself. And there
16:58was a beggar who was watching him. When
17:00he saw him trying the rope, he said,
17:02"Please, sir, since you are going to
17:03die, why don't you remove what you have
17:05and just give me? Because at least if
17:07you die, you'll be naked."
17:10And the man turned and said, "So, what
17:11I'm wearing that I think is a shame is
17:14somebody's prayer request." Do you know
17:16how many people are secretly praying to
17:18be you?
17:20They have seen something in you you have
17:21not seen.
17:23Your focus is just beauty, [music]
17:25whereas they've seen virtue and they're
17:27praying. They've seen character and
17:29they're praying. Is someone learning?
17:34You are just looking at uh for want of
17:36what? Six-pack or whatever number you
17:39are you are looking for.
17:43Whereas someone IS SEEING A LOYAL, a
17:45trusted person.
17:48If you are hearing, say amen.
17:53God used Dr. Monroe to train some of us
17:55to understand
17:57that the world will only celebrate what
18:00you celebrate.
18:02If you hate yourself and you do not
18:03celebrate yourself, it is fraud to ask
18:06people to celebrate someone you hate
18:08yourself.
18:12Somebody after this service, you need to
18:15go back and say, "Lord, you've done me
18:16well, oh. Thank God for the gift of me."
18:20Are we together?
18:23That there's somebody today with all due
18:24respect, with no arms and no feet, and
18:28yet he's still confident about his life.
18:30Have you seen people like that?
18:32God left them, I believe, to be
18:34inspirations to us. You have your hand,
18:37you have your feet, YOU HAVE EVERYTHING
18:39COMPLETE, AND YOU are still saying you
18:40are not good enough.
18:44No.
18:47Who am I?
18:48You need to answer that question now.
18:51And you do not identify yourself with
18:54things. If you say, "I am a
18:55millionaire."
18:57Uh that is not bad, but that is not an
18:58intelligent answer. A millionaire means
19:01one who has millions. No.
19:04There is a more superior understanding
19:06that produces such a person.
19:08What happens to you if all the millions
19:10leave?
19:11What happens to you if all the fame and
19:13everything leaves? Most people have
19:16defined themselves with the things
19:17around them. So, you live a life that
19:19looks like a failure and a miserable
19:21person. Suddenly, you get a job with
19:23some oil and gas firm, AND YOU SQUARE UP
19:25IMMEDIATELY.
19:30HALLELUJAH.
19:32Sitting in front here
19:34does not change me.
19:36Truly, I I tell you. Believe me when I
19:37tell you this. If I sit at the back, I'm
19:40still Joshua Selman, full of everything
19:42God gave me. And if you doubt it, you
19:44will give me time to prove it.
19:46Are we together now? Many people,
19:48because of identity crisis today, have
19:51gathered all kinds of enemies. I came to
19:53the occasion, and they called me Joshua
19:55Selman, not Apostle Joshua Selman.

21:03call to a settled sense of confidence.
21:06No matter what you say about me,
21:08provided you are not God and you are not
21:11anyone in front of me that I respect,

21:15your sound.
21:16Do you have that kind of courage?
21:18Because there are many times as you'll
21:19be learning, you will have to walk
21:21alone.

21:28I believe everything God says he has
21:31made me.
21:32My sufficiency is not of myself but of
21:34Christ who has made me an able minister.
21:38Many years ago I used to share this
21:40humorously.
21:41Um, those days when we started and I
21:43started traveling, I didn't used to wear
21:45all these kinds of things. I would just
21:47wear a polo and a jean and my palm just
21:50flying and you see the people waiting at
21:52the airport for the great man of God
21:54whose message I have listened to largely
21:55audio. So most of them have not seen me.
21:58Usually a few people will recommend to
22:00the church you need to bring this man of
22:01God.
22:03Then I come down from the plane and
22:04they're looking at me. They're wondering
22:05is it my protocol? Is it this? And when
22:08they see me, you can see the shock and
22:10the disappointment. I mean, this is what
22:12we've been waiting for?
22:17And then I greet them sometimes and
22:18they're like, "Okay, that's the car.
22:19Please enter and let's go."
22:24It's not my fault. God put the grace in
22:26me.
22:32Hallelujah.
22:36And then usually after the meeting they
22:38are now saying sir, when again are you
22:40going to be um
22:42um when will you be free? It's such a
22:44privilege and I'm saying look at the
22:45same people.
22:46Let me tell you the truth. When you know
22:48who you are, you don't need to waste
22:50time telling people who you are.
22:54If you find yourself always trying to
22:57say who you are,
22:58it is a mechanism to manage you not
23:01knowing who you are. Does a lion tell
23:03you it's a lion?
23:04Lions roar and it stops there.
23:08An eagle does not need to tell you I'm
23:09an eagle. Keep watching the sky. Sooner
23:12or later, you will see that there is
23:13only one bird that is soaring with such
23:16level of mastery. That bird is not
23:18called a pigeon, it's called an eagle.
23:21Are we together? The pressure to try to
23:24prove a point is something that must die
23:27permanently. If anybody thinks you are a
23:29failure, forgive their ignorance while
23:31they learn.
23:33And if they insist that you are a
23:34failure, leave them with God, the one
23:36who called you to make you successful.
23:38If a gentleman looks at you and says you
23:40are not fine enough, thank God because
23:42you would have married the wrong person.
23:43Let him carry his trouble and go. Are we
23:45together now? Did you hear what I'm
23:47saying?
23:49And if some lady tells you that she
23:50wants somebody with all the money in the
23:52world, bless God for her.
23:55And thank God for the one who will see
23:57you while you are rising, so that you
23:58will not have any fear when you rise.
24:03Identity crisis.
24:05My dear people, hear me. There is more
24:08within you than you will ever imagine.
24:11There is more within you. Yes, you can
24:14be a work in progress. Don't let your
24:17limitations define you. Did you hear
24:20what I said? Yes.
24:23It does not mean to embrace everything,
24:26including what is destroying your life.
24:28That's not what I'm advocating. Some of
24:30you have very bad manners, with all due
24:31respect. Some of you are not people of
24:33character. Some of you are not visionary
24:35people. I'm not saying embrace that part
24:37of you, but have it that there is
24:39potential within your spirit.
24:42The Bible says we are born of the
24:44incorruptible seed of the word of God.
24:48Hallelujah.
24:50I heard God's servant Bishop David
24:52Oyedepo say that there's no way he will
24:54go in the world that the Lord gave him
24:56something he calls a far above
24:58mentality. That there is no way he will
25:00go in the world that he will allow
25:02himself to be intimidated, and he's
25:04proved it with his life.
25:06Now, there is a false sense of
25:09confidence where you abuse and insult
25:11people. They say lift your hand, you say
25:13no. I'm fearfully and wonderfully. No,
25:14you are rude and ill-trained. That is
25:17not how fearfully and wonderfully made
25:19people behave. This is not my advocacy.
25:21Are you Are you getting me now?
25:23Yes. Or you sound very sarcastic, you
25:25laugh at people, you fight people, and
25:27say I'm like that. No, that's an attack.
25:30Come next week so that your problem is
25:32solved once and for all.

26:23you become bigger than that room, that
26:25room will run away from you.
26:28It's true.
26:32There is a level you get to in the
26:34spirit where it becomes unfair to remain
26:37there. That room will run away even if
26:39you don't leave it, it will leave you.
26:46Who am I?
26:47I'm showing you the kind of training
26:49that constructed our understanding.
26:52SO THAT TODAY BY THE PRIVILEGE OF GOD'S
26:55grace
26:56things and people and achievements is
27:00not what defines some of us by the grace
27:02of God.
27:06Thank God for the crowns, the accolades

27:10but my identity as the son of God
27:15supersedes my identity as any other
27:17thing.
27:18I know that I'm the son of God. I'm a
27:20child of God, loved by him, jealously
27:24loved by him.
27:25Koinonia or otherwise, if you have this
27:28mentality, believe me, there are many
27:31things you will not cry about again.
27:33There are many things you will not have
27:34to discuss about again. You will save
27:36yourself wasteful um times in prayer and
27:40invest in constructive prayer. Lord,
27:42look at what people are saying about me.

27:51Some gentleman who just came here now,
27:53you may not look like it, but my
27:55goodness, God is doing something in you.

28:02So we live fake lives trying to buy a
28:05designer watch. I'm not saying anything
28:06is wrong with that. Designer this,
28:09designer that,
28:10and claiming all kinds of things,
28:12running into debt, getting into trouble,
28:15aligning with wrong people who bring
28:18wrong values to destroy us,
28:20and many of us cannot be alone.
28:23One of the ways that you have truly
28:25gained security is the power to be
28:28alone, and yet know you are not alone.
28:34Though I walk through the valley of the
28:35shadow of death, I fear no evil. What's
28:38the revelation? For thou art with me.
28:44Who am I?
28:45This is what we teach and train the
28:47students in the school of ministry among
28:49the many things. Listen, my life
28:51changed. I don't know how insecure,
28:54maybe how I don't know what kind of life
28:56I would have been living today. And with
28:58all due respect, I have watched people
29:00and I continue to watch with shock and
29:02sympathy, genuine sympathy. I have seen
29:06the danger of identity crisis when it
29:09comes upon a leader, when it comes upon
29:11an individual, it will make you do
29:13things you will hate, but you will still
29:14keep doing it.
29:16Because you are trying to gain the
29:18applause of men.
29:28First John chapter 3 and verse 1.
29:31We need to hurry up.
29:34I sense that God is speaking to someone.
29:37I sense that God brought someone to
29:39church tonight to tell the person, "The
29:41way you are going, you will not make it
29:43that way." The pressure to prove a
29:45point, you borrow cars, you borrow
29:48clothes, you borrow everything.
29:50Are we together? You want to That that
29:53obsession for visibility. No, God gives
29:57visibility, but not by manipulation.
30:00When you merit it by growth, it comes
30:02naturally. I taught you here in Koinonia
30:052 years or so ago that success is not
30:07what you pursue. Success is what you
30:10attract by who you become.
30:15If you steal tomorrow's bread today, you
30:17will be hungry tomorrow. You are
30:19stealing from tomorrow's kitchen to eat
30:21it today.
30:28If all I have is Jesus,

31:09The journey from where most people are
31:12until they become is quite long.
31:15It will take time and for the most part
31:18of that journey you will be walking

31:20You will walk alone in the midst of
31:22noises that you will be hearing. You
31:25will not make it. You can't go far. I
31:28taught them in Zaria again. If you had
31:30looked at Joseph, the one in the pit,
31:32not the one in the palace, you would
31:34look at him and there would be nothing
31:35that looked like prophecy upon him. But
31:38he had the self-security
31:40to continue such that even when he was
31:42in the prison, he knew he was not in a a
31:45prisoner. He was just in a prison. It's
31:47one thing to be in a prison, but it's
31:49another thing to identify yourself as a
31:52prisoner. If you are call yourself a
31:54prisoner, even if you are in a palace,
31:56you are still a prisoner.

32:01I can be
32:02in a condition that does not exactly
32:06reflect prosperity, but in my mind I can
32:09be rich unto God and rich unto a sound
32:12mind. I will not fake my life, but right
32:15where I am, I know in my mind that the
32:18nations, this is the orientation that we
32:21had.
32:24You may be in THE PRISON, BUT NEVER CALL
32:27YOURSELF A PRISONER.
32:29If you call yourself a prisoner, even if
32:31the door is open, you are still in
32:33prison.

33:14value of answering this question. Where
33:16am I from?
33:19Because the Bible says
33:22in John chapter 3 and verse 31. John
33:263:31.
33:27He that cometh from above.
33:32He that cometh from above.
33:36He that comes from the west
33:39is most likely a westerner.
33:42He that comes from the east
33:44is most likely an easterner. He that
33:46comes from the north is a northerner, a
33:49middle belter, and so on and so forth.
33:50He that comes from America is most
33:53likely an American, and so on and so
33:54forth. And wherever you come from, you
33:58will also be a victim of the limitations
34:01that are domiciled there. Did you get
34:03this?
34:04So, when the Bible says he that cometh
34:06from above, the revelation there is that
34:09even though I have a natural descent, I
34:12come from a place
34:15plagued with advantages and
34:16disadvantages like we all have, but that
34:19you sustain an orientation that even
34:22though I am from Lagos, Port Harcourt,
34:25I'm from America, I'm from UK, I'M FROM
34:27BAUCHI, WHEREVER I AM FROM,
34:30MY REAL ORIGIN
34:32is not the place that I filled in a
34:34form. My real origin is that I come from
34:37above. And the Bible says by reason of
34:40that source
34:42there is something within you that is
34:44consistent with where you come from and
34:47eventually it will emerge.
34:51Are we together?
34:52John chapter 1 6 and 7. The Bible says
34:56there was a man
34:58sent from God whose name was John.
35:02I've taught you here whose name was
35:04Joshua Selman. Verse 7, THE SAME CAME
35:08FOR a witness to bear witness to THE

35:42Anybody waiting for a worse tomorrow is

36:27Nigerian. Very proud of my nation. I
36:30tell you, unashamedly proud of my
36:32nation, but I can tell you one thing, I
36:35come from above.
36:39The color of my skin looks Nigerian, but
36:41watch the results. You will know that it
36:43comes from a realm that is not even
36:46earthly.
36:47Are we together?
36:49God is helping you solve something here.
36:51So, when people look at you and say you
36:54come from this region, you people are
36:57angry people, you come from this region,
36:59you are jealous people, you come from
37:01this region, you don't live long. They
37:03may be right by your natural descent,
37:05but remind yourself that I have been
37:07called out of every tribe, out of every
37:10tongue, out of every nation. Are we
37:12together now?
37:15Say I come from above.
37:17Say it convincingly, I come from above.
37:21Yes, sir.
37:23Nathanael looked at Jesus and said, "Can
37:25anything good come out of Nazareth?"
37:27Jesus was not offended because from an
37:30earth standpoint, Nathanael [music] was
37:31right.
37:33I've taught you here. Remember Samson
37:35was a Nazarene. They didn't have
37:37longevity of impact. Something would
37:40happen to them and bring them down. But
37:42Jesus said, "Mine is me."
37:45In the name of Jesus Christ,
37:47I come from above. [music]
37:49That is why the power I carry is from
37:51above. That is why when I speak to you,
37:53the result comes from above. Because I
37:56come from above, the Bible says, "Set
37:58your mind your affection on the things
38:00that are above." Listen, this revelation
38:03has helped me in ministry. I have never,
38:05with all due respect to my nation, I
38:08have never done ministry like a
38:09Nigerian. I have never acted just with
38:11the mindset of a limited a limited
38:14mindset. When I hear people abuse Africa
38:17and say all kinds of things, I respect
38:19them, but I know that we are a superior
38:21breed. Here's what the Bible says, "You
38:23are a chosen generation, a royal
38:25priesthood, a peculiar people." Say
38:28[music and singing] it again, "I am from
38:29above."
38:32You may not see that in my speaking.
38:35You may not see that in my the color of
38:37my skin, perhaps. You may not see that
38:39in in my my body, my size, and all of
38:41that. But there is a divine ability. We
38:45are born of the spirit.
38:51Does a man lay hand on a man and heal
38:53the person by his strength? No.
38:56It takes a man plus something divine.
38:59Nicodemus comes to Jesus by night and
39:01says, "Rabbi, we know that thou art a
39:03teacher sent from God, for no man can do
39:06these miracles which thou doest, except
39:10God be with him."
39:11Except God be with him. Except God be
39:16with him. We look like ordinary men, but
39:18we can speak to nations and speak to the
39:21gates of nations to be open. And if you
39:23ask why, it is not just the size of my
39:26hand, the size of my mouth, what I'm
39:28saying, it is because we come from
39:30above. If you know that you come from
39:32above, you will know that that business
39:33will not fail. You will know that that
39:35destiny will not fail. That even though
39:37my beginning is small, there is
39:39something from above that does not allow
39:42me to be a failure. So, when you fail as
39:44an event, you dust YOURSELF AND AND
39:47SQUARE UP AND KNOW THAT a champion is
39:49still emerging.

39:54This is the mindset we had. Right from
39:56the days of infancy when we were
39:59organizing small crusades with small
40:01people, limited resources, full of all
40:04kinds of troubles that were evolving
40:06beyond our knowledge.

40:13lend to nations. I saw it from

41:59but in the name of Jesus Christ, it will
42:02not be at the expense of my
42:04self-confidence.
42:06That is not a wise bargain.
42:09The noblest honor any man can be given
42:12on earth is to be the son of God.
42:17The only other in my opinion that is
42:19greater than that
42:21or that is after that is the position of
42:24a monarch because if you're a monarch,
42:26you stay there till you die.
42:30Presidents and prime ministers come and
42:32go and they have 8 years perhaps. Some
42:34have stretched it to decades, but it
42:36still ended. But this status, there is
42:39no taking it from me.

42:45Can't be a slave to fear. I come from
42:47above.
42:48I'm living in Abuja. The geography of my
42:51witness is Abuja. But in the name of
42:54Jesus, any spirit You may have heard me
42:57tell you this years ago.

43:05I remember coming and I I boarded a cab,
43:08and once we were traveling, the man said
43:11something that blessed me.

43:19to consult with some medium, and they
43:21told him that there was a spirit in this
43:23city, that if you hold money in this
43:25city, it must finish in this city.

43:30gets money, he will run out of the city
43:32and go and start a project. He was about
43:34to finish it. I was listening to him
43:36while he was speaking. He I think they
43:38consulted with some medium, and the man
43:40was giving him his word of knowledge.
43:43And you'll find that truly from an
43:45external point, it's true.
43:46MANY PEOPLE EARN SO MUCH, AND AFTER
43:49DECADES, they do not have any even even
43:51a piece of land. Something just drains
43:54them completely. It's because you think
43:56that your supply comes from here. The
43:58day you understand
44:02that I come from above, I come from
44:05above, I refuse to be limited by what
44:09limits men. I come from above. As a man
44:12of God, you must believe this. An

44:42A superior thinking is that while we are
44:44praying for it to go down so everybody
44:46can afford, for me, an exemption has
44:49been designed in my life by reason of
44:52where I come from.

46:01flights. You go to a nation you have no

46:05just have to be there as a stop point
46:07for a few hours to get to your final

46:15say to America and you find me in UK,
46:17you are asking, "What are you doing
46:19here?" I tell you I'm on transit.
46:22My final destination and where I'm
46:24coming from are the two most important
46:26things. Are we together now?
46:28You came from above, and by his wisdom,
46:32God passed you through where he passed
46:33you. So, it doesn't matter. You are
46:35still on transit.

46:41The limitations of my territory will
46:43never find expression in me. By faith, I
