- 0:01inner circle trader aka ict
- 0:05the most popular forex teacher on the
- 0:07internet
- 0:08thousands of people sway by his
- 0:11teachings
- 0:12but is his system actually profitable
- 0:15does he actually have an edge
- 0:18to find this out we did a hundred trades
- 0:21back test
- 0:22on bar replay to see whether or not
- 0:25ict's teachings offer an age
- 0:28and the results were truly eye opening
- 0:32welcome to back test ball our goal is to
- 0:35help retail traders get an edge in the
- 0:37market
- 0:38before we begin
- 0:39don't forget to click the like and
- 0:42subscribe button for future videos
- 0:46ict teaches many styles
- 0:50however we went for one style that has
- 0:53zero discretion to get a fair
- 0:56and more accurate back test that is
- 0:58possible and what we think is achievable
- 1:00during live trading
- 1:03so
- 1:04here are the rules we followed the
- 1:06system has almost zero discretion
- 1:09therefore
- 1:10you should be able to easily spot trades
- 1:12and instantly know whether or not it is
- 1:14a trade you should take or shouldn't
- 1:16take
- 1:17now
- 1:18here are the rules we look for
- 1:20firstly 15-minute liquidity to be taken
- 1:24which is here's the types trendline
- 1:26liquidity
- 1:28equal highs and lows and asian session
- 1:30highs slash lows
- 1:32we only trade during london session and
- 1:34we aim for at least
- 1:36three rr
- 1:38so here you can see we've marked out
- 1:40session high
- 1:41session load which is two liquidity
- 1:43types and also this
- 1:45relatively equal high
- 1:47that gets taken and forms our
- 1:52liquidity grab which is step one now
- 1:56we're on the five minute but we saw it
- 1:58get taken under 15.
- 2:01then we look for market structure shift
- 2:03or break of structure on the five minute
- 2:05which this indicator here fractal
- 2:08breaking balance yeah you can put it on
- 2:11your chart these green dotted lines
- 2:14signal the breaks of structure
- 2:17and then we enter on a three minute or
- 2:19two minute or one minute fvg which this
- 2:22fvg by the king nephew sam highlights
- 2:25your
- 2:27fpg's automatically
- 2:30um so instead of entering here on the
- 2:32five minute we'd look for one under two
- 2:34minutes so now i'm going to walk you
- 2:37through an example before we take the
- 2:40full
- 2:40100 trades and then get the results so
- 2:45let's get into this live example
- 2:48so here you can see liquidity was taken
- 2:52now we zoom past
- 2:54over there the dotted line was passed we
- 2:57use wix because
- 2:58price is not candles
- 3:01price is a line
- 3:04we just view it as candles to make it
- 3:07easier to understand
- 3:08so this we count as a break
- 3:11we drop down to the two minute
- 3:13and look for these fvgs to enter off so
- 3:17for instance over here
- 3:20we place our position stop loss above
- 3:23the high
- 3:24of the liquidity that was taken
- 3:27and we aim for 3
- 3:29rr
- 3:34right
- 3:36and then let's just zoom past this and
- 3:38see
- 3:39does it hit tp
- 3:41and you'll see
- 3:42yes it does
- 3:44now we're going to go through do a
- 3:46hundred trades we're only gonna fast
- 3:48forward through the next trade that
- 3:50comes because
- 3:51you guys aren't here to have your time
- 3:53wasted
- 3:54so
- 3:56yeah we've done most of the other pairs
- 3:58so now we're gonna fast forward and
- 4:01go from there
- 4:04okay
- 4:26as you can see this second trade has
- 4:29also hit tp
- 4:32all right
- 4:34i've finished the back testing
- 4:36so
- 4:38here's the pace we used feel free to
- 4:40pause the video to go through
- 4:42and as you can see all winning trades
- 4:45have the lock and
- 4:46all losing trades don't have the lock
- 4:49now
- 4:50we are going to use our tool that we've
- 4:53developed for traders who use trading
- 4:56view to backtest
- 4:57to get the results of our backtest so

- 5:14you can see here
- 5:16make sure you use the website and not
- 5:18the desktop app to backtest

- 5:24slash
- 5:25go over to backtestbull.com link in the
- 5:28description click on add finish back

- 5:34correctly the drop down here will appear
- 5:37click all if you'd like to get
- 5:40the back testing data from all the
- 5:41charts and you can pick one if you'd
- 5:44like to get it from only one this will
- 5:46organize it in chronological
- 5:48order that they occurred to give you a
- 5:50more realistic sense of your back test
- 5:52give it a name ict fvg
- 5:55100
- 5:57trades
- 5:58and just simply click get back test
- 6:07voila
- 6:09and here you have the results
- 6:12the question
- 6:13we asked ourselves at the start of the
- 6:15video is is ict's teachings profitable
- 6:18and do they offer an edge
- 6:20in short
- 6:22yes
- 6:23this strategy is really high performing
- 6:26and
- 6:27over 114 trades which is a very good
- 6:30sample set the past few weeks that
- 6:32shadingview did let me go through on the
- 6:35pairs i had mentioned to get the 100
- 6:37trades
- 6:39this is the result overall we had a
- 6:41strike rate of
- 6:4351.7 percent
- 6:45which is really good considering average
- 6:48rr was three at least three r was the
- 6:51goal we had 59 ones
- 6:5455 losses a total risk reward gain of
- 6:57122.7
- 6:59the initial balance on baptist bull
- 7:02uh is
- 7:04one percent a hundred thousand dollars
- 7:07the initial risk is one percent
- 7:10so
- 7:11this 222 000 final balance means that if
- 7:15you started with a hundred thousand
- 7:16dollars and took a hundred trades you
- 7:18could possibly look at two hundred and
- 7:20twenty two thousand dollars
- 7:23at the end max drawdown was five
- 7:25thousand dollars it comes out to be five
- 7:28percent
- 7:29what back test bull does when you select
- 7:31all
- 7:32as in you want all the trades from all
- 7:34the charts like we did it will put them
- 7:36in chronological order and tell you how
- 7:39many wins in a row and how many losses
- 7:41in a row came across all the pairs in
- 7:44this case even though we were trading
- 7:46over five pairs we only got
- 7:48four maximum consecutive losses in a row
- 7:52and five maximum consecutive wins which
- 7:55means you can risk
- 7:56in the realm of about point seven five
- 7:59percent if you would like to do a
- 8:01funding challenge profit factor is two
- 8:05now when you wanna become a funded
- 8:07trader in general you should look for
- 8:09strategies that profit factor is to or
- 8:12above
- 8:13that's a sufficient edge however this is
- 8:16not
- 8:17financial advice in conclusion
- 8:21this strategy
- 8:22is really high performing
- 8:24although do your own research and go and
- 8:26check if it works for yourself this is
- 8:28definitely market
- 8:30beating
- 8:32we don't pick sides
- 8:34whether you like ict or not we just did
- 8:36a back test and got the results if you'd
- 8:39like to use backtestpool.com
