  1. 0:00There are hundreds, maybe even thousands
  2. 0:02of videos on YouTube right now talking
  3. 0:03about the laziest way to make money with
  4. 0:05AI. And they all kind of go something
  5. 0:07like this. All you got to do is copy a
  6. 0:09prompt in and paste it into chatbt or
  7. 0:13whatever you want to do and all of a
  8. 0:15sudden a completed video or script is
  9. 0:18going to be printed out for you to just
  10. 0:20directly implement and you're going to
  11. 0:22make $500 a day. It basically those are
  12. 0:25all of the videos. There are a number of
  13. 0:27problems with those videos that we're
  14. 0:30going to talk about in this video and
  15. 0:32what you should do instead. Now, I
  16. 0:34personally have been using AI in various
  17. 0:37ways for I don't know maybe five or 6
  18. 0:39years now. I was one of those people
  19. 0:41that has an AIdriven YouTube channel
  20. 0:45about painting. I followed all the
  21. 0:47guru's advice. Uh I got the prompts. I
  22. 0:51used Hey Jen, which is a um which is an
  23. 0:55AI avatar software. It takes your voice
  24. 0:57and it takes your face and it creates um
  25. 1:00um videos based off of script and then I
  26. 1:03would then take I would use CHBT to
  27. 1:06create images
  28. 1:08for my painting videos. Now those videos
  29. 1:10have some of them have done very well.
  30. 1:13Um it's called Pallet Perfect if you
  31. 1:14want to look it up yourself. The videos
  32. 1:16are still up today, but I can tell you
  33. 1:19for a fact it is not lazy. It is not
  34. 1:22easy. The process itself is really
  35. 1:24simple, but there's a lot of steps that
  36. 1:26you've got to get right in order to find
  37. 1:28the lazy way. And you got to keep
  38. 1:30finding different and new and better
  39. 1:33ways to keep the lazy uh thing going.
  40. 1:36So, let's go ahead and talk about all of
  41. 1:38the problems with the laziest way to
  42. 1:39make money according to these gurus.
  43. 1:41Again, let's just say uh copy and paste
  44. 1:44a prompt. First of all, you have to
  45. 1:46spend a decent amount of time figuring
  46. 1:49out the best prompts to create. You
  47. 1:52don't you you can't just start off with,
  48. 1:53"Write me a 10-minute script about how
  49. 1:56to make money online." You have to do a
  50. 1:58lot of trial and error. You're going to
  51. 2:00spend a lot of time upfront trying to
  52. 2:02figure out which prompts are the best.
  53. 2:05Now again, this was maybe four or five
  54. 2:07years ago at this point, maybe five or
  55. 2:08six. But
  56. 2:11the uh LM LL LLM models, learning
  57. 2:15language models, they weren't as
  58. 2:17advanced or as sophisticated as they are
  59. 2:19today, but you still had to figure out
  60. 2:22exactly what to say. Um, I know that
  61. 2:24when I first got started, you couldn't
  62. 2:26ask for a full 10-minute script because
  63. 2:28about a minute and a half into it, it
  64. 2:29would start to um it would start to just
  65. 2:32kind of drift and you would have to
  66. 2:34bring it back. And so, what I had to do
  67. 2:36is I had to write a script for the intro
  68. 2:38or a prompt for the intro and then I had
  69. 2:40to write a prompt for the individual
  70. 2:42sections of that video, which again
  71. 2:45takes a significant amount of time to
  72. 2:47learn if you're just getting started.
  73. 2:49It's not something that you're going to
  74. 2:50be able to get done overnight. In
  75. 2:52addition, you have to go out and spend
  76. 2:54time and do the research. You've got to
  77. 2:55figure out what videos to make. You
  78. 2:57can't just sit down one day and say,
  79. 2:59"I'm going to make videos." Now, again,
  80. 3:01AI can help you, but this is far from
  81. 3:03lazy. In the very beginning, you are
  82. 3:05going to spend probably 10 hours a week
  83. 3:10trying to get your lazy method set up,
  84. 3:12trying to figure out the exact prompts
  85. 3:13that you can use, trying to figure out
  86. 3:16and do a little bit of research to
  87. 3:18figure out what's going on in your
  88. 3:19niche, what people are actually
  89. 3:21responding to. You're going to spend
  90. 3:22time trying to figure out the thumbnails
  91. 3:24and the thumbnail prompts. Now again,
  92. 3:26the learning language models have gotten
  93. 3:28better and smarter, but it's not just a
  94. 3:31snap of your fingers, $500 a day falls
  95. 3:34out of the sky and into your lap. The
  96. 3:36other bigger issue, I think, is that
  97. 3:39when you rely on these platforms, you're
  98. 3:41getting paid by YouTube, you're getting
  99. 3:42paid by Tik Tok and Facebook and
  100. 3:44Instagram, you are a you're leaving a
  101. 3:46lot of money on the table, b you're
  102. 3:48putting your hands and your fate into
  103. 3:50something that you have absolutely no
  104. 3:52control over. If you've been around the
  105. 3:54content creation game for a while, you
  106. 3:56can see the playbook being written. You
  107. 3:58can see the formula and the blueprint
  108. 4:00that all of these platforms follow. Tik
  109. 4:02Tok just did it. What normally happens,
  110. 4:04and this happened with Pinterest a few
  111. 4:05years ago, what normally happens is a
  112. 4:08platform will try and get a bunch of
  113. 4:10eyeballs because they know that they
  114. 4:11make their money from ads, right? They
  115. 4:13make their money from companies like
  116. 4:15Disney and Best Buy playing displaying
  117. 4:18ads on their platform. And so what they
  118. 4:20promise to do is they promise to pay
  119. 4:22people a bunch of money. They promise to
  120. 4:24pay regular creators and make them rich
  121. 4:26beyond their wildest belief. And that
  122. 4:28drives a bunch of eyeballs to the
  123. 4:30platform. And then once they get a bunch
  124. 4:33of eyeballs to the platform, they may
  125. 4:34make a few people rich. They they may
  126. 4:36may not. They may not. Uh once they get
  127. 4:38a bunch of eyeballs on the platform,
  128. 4:40they slowly reduce the amount of
  129. 4:42payouts. We just saw this with Tik Tok a
  130. 4:45few years ago. Pinterest had its own
  131. 4:46platform. They stopped paying people
  132. 4:48entirely. Facebook recently cut back on
  133. 4:50the amount of money that they're paying
  134. 4:52people. You can go on these different
  135. 4:53platforms and see that people are
  136. 4:55complaining about how they were making
  137. 4:57$10,000 a month and now they're making$1
  138. 5:00or $2,000 and they may have quit their
  139. 5:02job or, you know, they've put all their
  140. 5:04eggs in this content creation basket.
  141. 5:07Relying on a platform to pay you is
  142. 5:09incredibly risky because you have
  143. 5:11absolutely no control. You don't have
  144. 5:13control over the number of views that
  145. 5:15you're going to get every day. You don't
  146. 5:17have any control over what your payouts
  147. 5:18are going to be, your CPMs, your RPMs,
  148. 5:20the amount of money that the platforms
  149. 5:22are going to pay you. You don't really
  150. 5:24have any control over what you can
  151. 5:26monetize. For example, this video
  152. 5:28[clears throat]
  153. 5:29over on YouTube probably wouldn't get
  154. 5:31monetized because I talk about money.
  155. 5:34Whereas on Tik Tok, it might get
  156. 5:36monetized, but I I would only make like
  157. 5:38a $1 or $2 CPM or RPM. On YouTube, you
  158. 5:42make a significantly more amount of
  159. 5:44money. However, you're competing with
  160. 5:45long form and shorts and and other
  161. 5:47things. So, relying on a platform for
  162. 5:50the laziest way, I think is incredibly
  163. 5:52risky. I think it's very shortsighted
  164. 5:55and people that ultimately rely on this
  165. 5:57method uh are going to struggle. Now,
  166. 6:00that's not to say that AI video content
  167. 6:03creation doesn't work because there is a
  168. 6:05home for it. I think there is a market
  169. 6:07for it and I think the market is ever
  170. 6:09growing. What I do think also though is
  171. 6:11people value and crave authenticity
  172. 6:13more. So, if you can show up on camera
  173. 6:15regardless of what you look like,
  174. 6:17regardless of what you sound like, and
  175. 6:19you can be honest and transparent, I
  176. 6:21think there is a significant group group
  177. 6:23of people that want to follow that. Um,
  178. 6:25as I mentioned with my pallet perfect
  179. 6:27YouTube channel, it was AI video to AI
  180. 6:30voice using Hey Gen and then overlay.
  181. 6:33So, it was a faceless AI video. I just
  182. 6:35had I had B-roll that I had uh
  183. 6:38downloaded from Storyblocks, which I
  184. 6:40paid a subscription for, and the images
  185. 6:43of the different houses were just AI
  186. 6:45that I quickly created over on over on
  187. 6:49Adobe Photo, Adobe Premiere Pro. The
  188. 6:52other thing that you've got to
  189. 6:53understand too when it comes to these
  190. 6:55different lazy ways is that you're going
  191. 6:56to wind up spending a bunch of money
  192. 6:58upfront or a bunch of time upfront with
  193. 7:01the possibility, the hopefulness that
  194. 7:03you're going to make that money back
  195. 7:04later. There's no guarantee that you're
  196. 7:06going to make the money back if you
  197. 7:07don't get monetized by the YouTube
  198. 7:09partner program, if you don't get
  199. 7:10monetized by the Tik Tok creativity
  200. 7:12fund. What I think that all people
  201. 7:14should do instead is you should have
  202. 7:16alternate forms of monetization. You
  203. 7:18should get monetized by affiliate
  204. 7:20marketing that's recommending other
  205. 7:21people's products and services. For
  206. 7:23example, with my pallet perfect YouTube
  207. 7:25channel, I've got affiliate links to
  208. 7:26paint brushes and um paint rollers and
  209. 7:30you know the drop cloths, all the paint
  210. 7:32a cruamon that someone would need in
  211. 7:34order to paint a house. And the reason
  212. 7:36why that's better in my opinion is that
  213. 7:38I can monetize from day one. I don't
  214. 7:40have to hope and wish that I get
  215. 7:42monetized by the YouTube partner program
  216. 7:43and then have my eggs all in that one
  217. 7:46basket. Another thing that you can do
  218. 7:48for the pallet perfect example is you
  219. 7:50sell a digital product or sell a
  220. 7:52calculator. How much paint do you need,
  221. 7:54right? Uh you can sell a a painting
  222. 7:57list, an organization list, uh letting
  223. 8:00people exactly letting people know
  224. 8:02exactly what they need when they go to
  225. 8:04paint a house. Now, you might think,
  226. 8:05Alustin, people will can just buy that
  227. 8:08or they can Google it or they can use
  228. 8:10AI. That's true, and some people will do
  229. 8:13that. But oftentimes people will buy
  230. 8:15from you because they know, like, and
  231. 8:17trust you. They know, like, and trust
  232. 8:18your information. If people spend time
  233. 8:21with you via watching your content, they
  234. 8:23say, "I trust this guy. I trust that he
  235. 8:26has the best um he he's going to make
  236. 8:30the best recommendations for me." It's
  237. 8:32that pairocial relationship that um is
  238. 8:35both very good and and can be very bad
  239. 8:37at times. So, what I would tell you to
  240. 8:40do is one, stop trying to be lazy. Often
  241. 8:44times people that are lazy
  242. 8:47struggle with consistency. They struggle
  243. 8:49with cons success, which is um more
  244. 8:52important. Being consistent and
  245. 8:54persistent is the most important thing
  246. 8:56that you're going to have to learn when
  247. 8:58it comes to creating YouTube videos.
  248. 9:01I can't tell you how many times where I
  249. 9:03would rather not make a YouTube video,
  250. 9:06whether it's for this channel or whether
  251. 9:08it's for my pallet perfect or one of my
  252. 9:10other channels. how I would rather just
  253. 9:13sit around and do nothing. But at the
  254. 9:15end of the day, we know that sitting
  255. 9:16around and doing nothing and being lazy
  256. 9:19quote unquote [snorts] um will hold you
  257. 9:22back both now and in the future because
  258. 9:24whatever you do today is going to pay
  259. 9:26you off next week, next month, and next
  260. 9:29year. So, if you don't make that video
  261. 9:30or you try the laziest way to make a
  262. 9:33video and it's not successful, one,
  263. 9:35you're going to be losing money with um
  264. 9:37with with the AI products that you that
  265. 9:39you're buying that you're using every
  266. 9:41single month. Like, hey Genen, it used
  267. 9:43to cost me $99 a month. Uh Adobe
  268. 9:46Premiere Pro is a subscription service.
  269. 9:48So, what usually happens is you're going
  270. 9:50to lose a significant amount of money up
  271. 9:52front if you go through these lazy
  272. 9:53methods. If you get monetized, which is
  273. 9:56no guarantee, um YouTube could reject
  274. 9:59you from the the YouTube partner program
  275. 10:01because it just doesn't like your
  276. 10:02content, you're going to be making
  277. 10:03pennies upfront and for a significant
  278. 10:06amount of time.
  279. 10:09You will need multiple viral videos
  280. 10:12every single month in order to make a
  281. 10:15successful amount of money.
  282. 10:18Again, what I think you should be doing
  283. 10:19instead is if you go the affiliate
  284. 10:21marketing route, you can create content
  285. 10:22on YouTube. You can add in your
  286. 10:24affiliate links and start making money.
  287. 10:26Another option I think is a slightly
  288. 10:28better option is selling digital
  289. 10:30products. That way, you sell a digital
  290. 10:31product, you have your own customer
  291. 10:33base. Then from there, you can sell them
  292. 10:36multiple products and services. For the
  293. 10:38first thing you sell, you you sell them
  294. 10:40that uh calculator or the the DIY
  295. 10:42checklist or spreadsheet. And then maybe
  296. 10:44the next thing you sell them is a how to
  297. 10:47paint a wall course, how to add accent
  298. 10:49painting, or you know, how to paint a
  299. 10:51bathroom, remodel a bathroom. You sell
  300. 10:53them an entire course and you can make
  301. 10:55more money from those same customers. I
  302. 10:58talked about that a lot in my last video
  303. 10:59yesterday. But stop listening to the
  304. 11:03gurus that are telling you about the
  305. 11:04laziest way to make money with AI
  306. 11:05because hell, they know how much time,
  307. 11:08energy, and effort it requires to be
  308. 11:11successful. Um, you're usually the last
  309. 11:13one to find out. Let me know what you
  310. 11:15guys think in the comment section. Do
  311. 11:16you agree? Do you disagree? How do you
  312. 11:17guys feel about these quick hitting
  313. 11:19YouTube videos? If you do you want to
  314. 11:21see more of them? Do you want to see
  315. 11:22less? Let me know. And we'll see you in
  316. 11:23the next video.
