- 0:00People are making thousands of dollars
- 0:01each month in passive income by drop
- 0:04shipping products from AI built Shopify
- 0:06stores.
- 0:07I've made millions of dollars with drop
- 0:09shipping.
- 0:09I've been able to make hundreds of
- 0:10thousands of dollars with AI.
- 0:12Hundreds of dollars a day working from
- 0:13home for a year.
- 0:15day from this side hustle. I mean
- 0:17$600,000
- 0:19this month alone.
- 0:20Apparently, anyone can do this from
- 0:22anywhere in the world. But, is this too
- 0:25good to be true? Well, today I want to
- 0:27put it to the test by only using free
- 0:29tools to make a Shopify store and see
- 0:32how many products I can sell online.
- 0:34But, I'm setting myself three rules.
- 0:37Number one, I must use free AI tools and
- 0:40keep the total cost of the shop creation
- 0:42to under $1. Number two, I have to be
- 0:45able to do it all from my laptop. And
- 0:48number three, I need to finish it in
- 0:50less than an hour. Okay, start the
- 0:52timer.
- 0:55Right. I've got a list of steps to
- 0:57complete. The first thing on my plan is
- 0:59to find a free AI tool to create our
- 1:02Shopify store. Now, I've done quite a
- 1:05lot of searching around and the best one
- 1:07I found is Build Your Store. It claims
- 1:09to be able to build a Shopify store for
- 1:11us and lets us sell other people's
- 1:13products without needing our own
- 1:15inventory or doing any of the work
- 1:17ourselves. The idea is when the store
- 1:20receives an order, the product is
- 1:21shipped directly to the customer which
- 1:24allows us to make a profit without any
- 1:26more work on our end. If you want to
- 1:27follow along, feel free to head down to
- 1:30the description of the video and click
- 1:31the top link. So, I've loaded up page
- 1:34and now I'm going to click this button
- 1:36here that says build my free store
- 1:39because that's exactly what we want it
- 1:41to do. Now, they're asking for my full
- 1:43name which is of course Mark Tilbury and
- 1:47they want an email address.
- 1:50And to pick a password.
- 1:53Right, that's done. And then just click
- 1:56next. Now, it's asking me to choose a
- 1:58niche. You have six options here to
- 2:00choose from. Fashion and apparel, pets,
- 2:03electronics and gadgets, home and
- 2:04garden, sports and fitness, and finally
- 2:07an option for I'm not sure. Lots of
- 2:09people would just pick something they're
- 2:11interested in. However, it's best to
- 2:13approach this with a business mind and
- 2:15think to yourself, what do you
- 2:17confidently know that has a large
- 2:19market? Honestly, all of these options
- 2:21are pretty good. However, I'm just going
- 2:23to go for sport and fitness because my
- 2:26son is always a boxing or running or in
- 2:29the gym. So, I'm pretty sure there's a
- 2:31big demand for these types of products,
- 2:33especially amongst younger people. I've
- 2:35even heard that Gen Z are now meeting
- 2:37people at running clubs instead of
- 2:39nightclubs. Very different from back in
- 2:41my day, that's for sure. Right, that's
- 2:43the first one off my list. The next
- 2:45thing on my list is to customize the
- 2:47store and make it appealing to our
- 2:49customers. Now, there are six banners on
- 2:52here to choose from. So, let's go
- 2:53through them and find out what suits our
- 2:55store best. The first one has a lot of
- 2:58different sporting items which may seem
- 3:01good, but if we don't end up selling
- 3:03those products, it could confuse our
- 3:04customers. So, we'll skip that one. Then
- 3:07there's this one with just a woman on
- 3:08her own. While it's a nice design, it
- 3:11doesn't really represent our entire
- 3:13audience and we want our store to appeal
- 3:15to both men and women. So, using this
- 3:17logic, the bottom right one also feels,
- 3:20well,
- 3:22a bit too female only. So, we'll pass on
- 3:24that. So, out of these remaining three,
- 3:26I think the bottom left one works great
- 3:28and the middle right one pops really
- 3:30nicely with the sunset which could help
- 3:33grab attention and create a positive
- 3:34first impression. Remember, the banners
- 3:36are the first thing our customers will
- 3:38see when they land on our store. So,
- 3:40it's important they reflect what we're
- 3:42about and what we're offering. If you
- 3:44don't feel like any of these work for
- 3:46you, then don't worry as you can always
- 3:48change them later on. Now that we've
- 3:50chosen our banners, let's hit continue
- 3:52and move on to the next step. To let the
- 3:54AI build our store, we need to set up a
- 3:57free Shopify account. So, that's the
- 3:59next thing on my list. The first thing
- 4:01I'm going to do is click on access
- 4:04Shopify which opens up in a new tab.
- 4:07Now, I'm going to type in my email
- 4:08address
- 4:12and then hit start free trial. Then I
- 4:15just need to pick a password
- 4:18and click create Shopify account. Now,
- 4:21as you can see, Shopify is now asking us
- 4:24a few setup questions, but since AI is
- 4:27going to handle most of the work for us,
- 4:29we can just select I don't want help
- 4:31setting up to save us time. Now, it's
- 4:34asking us to choose a plan for when the
- 4:36free trial ends. The basic plan looks
- 4:38good enough for what we're building as
- 4:40it's designed for solo entrepreneurs and
- 4:42it's also the most popular option. So,
- 4:45I'm just going to go ahead and select
- 4:46that one. Then, I'll quickly add in my
- 4:49payment details so we're all ready when
- 4:51the trial ends, but don't worry right
- 4:53now because it's completely free. And
- 4:56after the trial, it's just £1 or $1 per
- 4:58month for the first 3 months. As we're
- 5:00not paying anything right now, this
- 5:02doesn't count towards our $1 budget. I
- 5:04know we'll probably have to pay it
- 5:06before we get some sales in, but
- 5:07technically, I haven't paid it yet. So,
- 5:10I think you can let me off with this
- 5:11one. Once that's all set up, Shopify
- 5:14takes us to this dashboard for our new
- 5:16store where we can manage everything.
- 5:18Now,
- 5:19it does look pretty confusing, but
- 5:21that's fine as we won't have too much to
- 5:23do in here ourselves because soon the AI
- 5:26will be taking control. That sounded
- 5:28pretty scary. I hope this AI stuff
- 5:30doesn't lead us into a Terminator
- 5:32situation. Now, we need to install the
- 5:34Build Your Store app. This might seem
- 5:36like it's getting a bit confusing, but
- 5:38after this, it gets a whole lot easier.
- 5:40So, I'm going to click access Shopify
- 5:42again which opens another tab. On this
- 5:46page, I'm going to click the install
- 5:48button to add the app to our Shopify
- 5:51account. With this done, I can click
- 5:53create my custom store. Now, we just
- 5:56need to give the AI a bit of time to
- 5:58work its magic and build the store
- 5:59website for us in the background. We'll
- 6:01check out the results later to see what
- 6:03it's created, but for now, let's keep
- 6:05things moving and jump onto the next
- 6:07step. Right, the next thing on my list
- 6:09is to find some winning products for our
- 6:11store. This is so important because the
- 6:13right products can make or break the
- 6:15store. They attract customers, drive
- 6:18sales, and ultimately set us apart from
- 6:21our competition. To make this as easy
- 6:23and efficient as possible, we're going
- 6:25to register for AutoDS.
- 6:27This tool does the heavy lifting for us
- 6:29by selecting products that are proven to
- 6:31sell. It also takes care of pricing,
- 6:34uploading professional photos, and once
- 6:36we start making sales, it will also ship
- 6:39the products directly to our customers.
- 6:41I'm going to go back to the Build Your
- 6:43Store website and select register to
- 6:45AutoDS. This gives us the option to
- 6:48either sign up with a Google account or
- 6:50to enter your details manually. Just
- 6:53make sure that you use the same email
- 6:55address you used for Shopify and Build
- 6:57Your Store to keep everything linked.
- 6:59Okay. So, now it's asking me, where will
- 7:02we be selling? So, of course, I'm
- 7:04choosing Shopify.
- 7:07Now, we need to pick the right plan.
- 7:08AutoDS offers the first 30 days for just
- 7:1199 cents on any plan. This gives us a
- 7:14chance to test everything out and see
- 7:16how well it works. In my opinion, the
- 7:18basic plan doesn't have enough features
- 7:20to make this truly passive, but we don't
- 7:22need the advanced plan yet either. The
- 7:24Starter 500 plan looks perfect for what
- 7:27we need. So, I'm selecting start now for
- 7:3099 cents. There are a few different
- 7:32payment methods available. I'm going to
- 7:35go with PayPal as I always use it.
- 7:38Right, so there we go. All sorted and
- 7:42just like that, that's my $1 budget
- 7:45officially spent. Hopefully, there's
- 7:46nothing else left to pay for while
- 7:48setting up this store because at this
- 7:49point, I've only got 1 cent left. Now,
- 7:51it's finally time to publish our store.
- 7:54I'm actually quite excited to see
- 7:55everything come together. The last thing
- 7:57we need to do here is to click access
- 8:00Shopify and then uncheck the box that
- 8:02says restrict access to visitors with a
- 8:04password. Now, that's done. I'm going to
- 8:07press continue and boom, our store is
- 8:11officially live with winning products.
- 8:13Now that our Shopify store is live, the
- 8:15next thing on my list is to take a
- 8:17proper look and make any tweaks we might
- 8:20need before sending customers over
- 8:21there. This actually looks a lot better
- 8:24than I thought it would. Our two banners
- 8:26were in place and the AI has set up
- 8:28buttons that lead straight to the new
- 8:30product arrivals page which should make
- 8:32it easy for customers to get around the
- 8:34site. Down here are some of the winning
- 8:36products that AutoDS has added for us.
- 8:39First, we have what looks like some kind
- 8:41of breathing trainer. Actually, I have
- 8:43seen my son use one of these before. It
- 8:46works kind of like high altitude
- 8:47training by limiting the amount of
- 8:49oxygen you can take in. I think the idea
- 8:52is that when you're in a competition,
- 8:53your body can carry more oxygen in your
- 8:55blood which should make you perform
- 8:57better. To be honest, the more I'm
- 8:59talking about it, the more I want one
- 9:01for myself. I think this will sell
- 9:03really, really well. Next, we've got bag
- 9:05clips for your golf club. Now, I
- 9:07personally use these all the time
- 9:09because they stop the clubs rattling
- 9:10together and getting damaged. And if
- 9:12you've ever had to replace a carbon
- 9:14shaft, you know how expensive that can
- 9:16be. Then, we have the classic resistance
- 9:18band which
- 9:20I imagine is always a good seller and a
- 9:22warm jogging hat to round things off as
- 9:24it's getting a little bit chilly this
- 9:25time of year. So, honestly, I'm pretty
- 9:28impressed with the items it's picked.
- 9:30But, if we did want to pick more, then
- 9:32it's pretty simple to do that, too. I
- 9:34just have to head over to AutoDS, click
- 9:37marketplace, and then trending products.
- 9:40Now, this brings up a page with all the
- 9:43products that are selling very, very
- 9:45well and we can pick any of these even
- 9:48if they don't necessarily fit with our
- 9:50niche. To be honest though, it's
- 9:51probably not a good idea to be too
- 9:53random with it as your customers need to
- 9:55know what your store is about. I'm going
- 9:57to click on this filter for sports and
- 10:00fitness and it pulls up some products
- 10:02that would fit really well into our
- 10:04store. Now, if I wanted to add one of
- 10:06these, then all I'd have to do is click
- 10:08import draft and then wait for the
- 10:11import of the product. Then it gives me
- 10:12the option to adjust all the information
- 10:15and photos before publishing it onto the
- 10:17store. Now, I'm pretty impressed so far,
- 10:20but let's dive a bit deeper and check
- 10:22out what our product page looks like and
- 10:24see if we can spot any mistakes we need
- 10:26to fix. Let's click on the golf club
- 10:28clips. Now, there is a decent selection
- 10:31of product photos and to be fair, they
- 10:34do look quite professional. There's also
- 10:36quite a wide range of different shots,
- 10:38which is important because when I'm
- 10:40buying something, I always like to look
- 10:42at a few different photos. According to
- 10:44AutoDS, these golf clips cost me $6.84
- 10:49and drop shippers normally sell their
- 10:51items for two to two and a half times
- 10:53their cost. So, I should be able to sell
- 10:55these for at least $13.68,
- 10:58which would give us $6.84
- 11:01profit per sale, not taking into account
- 11:04any marketing costs. Now, I'll be
- 11:06honest, that's not a crazy amount of
- 11:08money, but when you're selling at scale,
- 11:10it could definitely start to add up.
- 11:12Plus, if I think these clips could sell
- 11:14for more than $13, I can always bump up
- 11:17the price manually and see how it goes.
- 11:19One small detail I really like on here
- 11:21is the little animation on the PayPal
- 11:23button. Now, I've always found that
- 11:25having PayPal payments available on my
- 11:27website adds a bit more trust and often
- 11:30improves sales. The AI has even written
- 11:33the product descriptions for us and
- 11:34thrown in some emojis. I'll admit, that
- 11:37is handy and saves a lot of time, which
- 11:39I am a bit short of right now. It's also
- 11:42included related product suggestions at
- 11:44the bottom of each page, which could
- 11:46help with upselling. I'll admit, it's
- 11:48fairly basic, but I found that basic
- 11:51websites often perform better. This
- 11:53footer is actually a bit of a surprise,
- 11:55huh? I wasn't expecting much here
- 11:57because let's be honest, footers are
- 11:59usually an afterthought, but the AI has
- 12:02done a decent job with it. All the
- 12:04important pages are already set up like
- 12:06the shipping policies and terms and
- 12:08conditions. These little details might
- 12:10not seem like a big deal, but they do
- 12:12make the store look a lot more
- 12:14professional. Now, let me click into the
- 12:16terms and conditions page and take a
- 12:18look. Yep, most of the heavy lifting's
- 12:21already been done. All I need to do is
- 12:23drop in a store name, our location, and
- 12:25some contact details to finish off. Now,
- 12:27the only thing letting the store down
- 12:29right now is the domain name. It's just
- 12:32a random jumble of characters and
- 12:33honestly, it doesn't scream
- 12:35professional. A good domain name is so
- 12:38important because it's the first thing
- 12:40customers see. So, I'm going to head
- 12:42back to Build Your Store AI to sort that
- 12:45out. I'm going to set up a .store domain
- 12:47instead of a .com because it's
- 12:49specifically designed for online stores.
- 12:51There's actually been studies that show
- 12:53websites with a .store domain get 87%
- 12:56more traffic and ranked two times higher
- 12:58on Google. So, using a domain like this
- 13:01should actually help us sell more. When
- 13:04you think about it, this makes sense
- 13:06because when someone sees a .store
- 13:07domain, they know right away they're
- 13:09visiting a shop. Luckily, we can get a
- 13:12.store domain for free as we're using
- 13:15the Build Your Store AI tool. However,
- 13:17if you aren't using this, then you can
- 13:19also buy one from sites like GoDaddy and
- 13:21Namecheap. Let's go with something
- 13:23simple like Kilbury Fitness because
- 13:27let's face it, I have the body of a
- 13:29Greek god and obviously everyone wants
- 13:31to look like me. Now, I've got to link
- 13:34the domain name to the store. So, I'm
- 13:36going to press connect now and enter the
- 13:39new domain name here. Now, it will take
- 13:42a few moments to verify and then we're
- 13:44ready to go. Before we officially start
- 13:46selling, I'm going to spend my last bit
- 13:48of time left on the clock to tweak the
- 13:50website. Stuff like filling in the
- 13:52footer details, linking some social
- 13:54media accounts, and making sure
- 13:55everything looks polished.
- 13:59There we go. All done and just in time.
- 14:02Now, it's time to move on to the
- 14:04exciting part, promoting the store and
- 14:06getting those first sales in.
- 14:09Okay, so it's a couple of days later now
- 14:11as I needed some time to order a couple
- 14:13of the products. The next thing on my
- 14:15list is to advertise our store. So, to
- 14:18get some eyeballs on our store, I've
- 14:20decided to work with some influencers.
- 14:22Now, Gymshark has proved this strategy
- 14:24works very well in the fitness niche and
- 14:26it's great because I'll get a positive
- 14:29endorsement from a trusted figure and
- 14:31traffic to my store. So, it's
- 14:33essentially killing two birds with one
- 14:35stone. But don't worry, I'm not going to
- 14:36be spending thousands of dollars working
- 14:38with huge influencers. I've got a much
- 14:41better plan. I'm going to use
- 14:43micro-influencers.
- 14:45These are accounts with anywhere from 10
- 14:48to 50,000 followers, whereas
- 14:50macro-influencers are accounts with
- 14:52500,000 to a million followers. So, what
- 14:55does that make me then? Super macro?
- 14:57That is terrible.
- 14:59I'm not
- 15:01I'm not doing this just to save costs.
- 15:03According to Socialbakers,
- 15:05micro-influencers boast up to a 60%
- 15:08increased engagement rate compared to
- 15:10macro-influencers. Micro-influencers
- 15:12also have a 20% plus higher conversion
- 15:16rate. This can help brands boost their
- 15:18e-commerce sales. That sounds perfect
- 15:20for what we need. So, I've reached out
- 15:22to a couple of lads I know called the
- 15:23Gray's brothers. They've been making
- 15:25short videos for a couple of years now
- 15:27and have around 14.5 thousand followers
- 15:30on Instagram. They do have more on other
- 15:33platforms, but I'm more interested in
- 15:35Instagram because I want them to post a
- 15:37story with a link. I could also get them
- 15:39to promote the other products, but
- 15:41first, I want to test out if their
- 15:43audience will actually buy before
- 15:45risking any more money. And who knows,
- 15:47people might even explore the shop and
- 15:49buy other items without me having to
- 15:51promote them directly. I approved their
- 15:53script yesterday and they just sent me
- 15:55the final video. But before we have a
- 15:57look, let's do a bit of quality check on
- 15:59the items I ordered. This is the
- 16:02breathing trainer and it feels pretty
- 16:04damn good and built to last. I think my
- 16:06son might even take it for himself. But
- 16:09seriously, it's always good to know that
- 16:11the quality is good because the last
- 16:13thing we want is unhappy customers
- 16:15wanting refunds. Okay, so we also have
- 16:18the hat. Nice and woolly, that should
- 16:20keep nice and warm. I like the fact it's
- 16:22got a peak on it, very stylish. Can't be
- 16:25bad. And the golf clips.
- 16:28Do you know what?
- 16:30They are really good. They are better
- 16:32quality cuz my ones slip off and they've
- 16:34got a lot more power behind them. So, I
- 16:36think I'll be having those for myself.
- 16:39And then a resistance band, they're
- 16:41always popular. So, I think we should be
- 16:43on to a winner with those. Right, let's
- 16:45take a look at the video. What are you
- 16:47doing? I'm just wearing my respirator.
- 16:50Respirator? You're in a gym, not a
- 16:52hospital, mate. But it's improving my
- 16:55cardio. What are you on about?
- 16:57The breathing training respirator
- 16:58restricts your breathing, which
- 16:59increases your red blood cell count,
- 17:01helping you improve your cardio. Buy it
- 17:03today using the link in the bio. Well,
- 17:05that's definitely a bit wacky, but
- 17:07that's part of the charm. It's quick,
- 17:09attention-grabbing, and shows off the
- 17:11breathing trainer in action, which is
- 17:13exactly what we needed. That
- 17:14high-energy, slightly off-the-wall style
- 17:17works really well on Instagram stories
- 17:19because it stops people from skipping
- 17:21and pulls them in. Even though it's not
- 17:23the most traditional approach, it fits
- 17:25the Gray's brothers' audience perfectly.
- 17:27Their followers love this kind of
- 17:29content and it feels so natural coming
- 17:31from them. I'm going to get them to put
- 17:33this story up with a link to the product
- 17:35page and check back tomorrow. So, let's
- 17:37hope we make some sales.
- 17:40So, it's been 24 hours and I've got some
- 17:42exciting news. We've made some sales.
- 17:45Now, it doesn't seem like my approach of
- 17:47only promoting one product really worked
- 17:50as people didn't buy anything else. But
- 17:52as of today, we've sold 12 of these
- 17:55breathing trainers. Okay, two of those
- 17:56sales were technically me for testing,
- 17:58of course, but the other 10 were legit.
- 18:01So, not counting my two orders, 10
- 18:03genuine purchases for £13.42
- 18:06is £134.20
- 18:10and converted to US dollars is $170.85.
- 18:14But of course, not all of that is
- 18:16profit. The items cost me an average of
- 18:18$3.95
- 18:20each. So, $39.50
- 18:23went towards product costs and shipping.
- 18:25As AutoDS shipped all the orders for us,
- 18:28we didn't need to worry about anything.
- 18:30After factoring in the $50 I paid the
- 18:32Gray's brothers and the $1 Shopify fee
- 18:35after our three-day trial ran out, our
- 18:38total cost came to $90.50.
- 18:42That leaves us with a profit of $80.35.
- 18:46Now, I know $80 might not sound
- 18:49life-changing, but let's put this into
- 18:51perspective. This was all done with
- 18:53minimal effort using AI tools and a
- 18:56budget of just $1 to set everything up
- 18:58and $50 for marketing. Now, imagine
- 19:01scaling this. If we promoted 20 products
- 19:04and they kept ticking along making
- 19:06regular sales, this could easily turn
- 19:08into thousands of dollars in profit
- 19:11every month. If you'd like to see a
- 19:12follow-up video in the future, be sure
- 19:14to give this one a thumbs up. Of course,
- 19:17before I post this, I'll need to change
- 19:19the name of the store to make sure no
- 19:20one stumbles across the site and starts
- 19:22buying products as that wouldn't make
- 19:24any a fair test. If you want to see more
- 19:26ideas for making passive income, I've
- 19:29got another video right up there, but
- 19:30don't click on it just yet. Make sure to
- 19:32subscribe if you want to grow your
- 19:34wealth, okay? I'll see you over there.
