I Tried 3D Printers for the First Time - ₹35K vs ₹1.5 Lakh — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:02On this channel we have covered all this technology, different things, and
- 0:06experiencing different things is a lot of fun. And I keep seeing on Instagram,
- 0:09people are making anything at all.
- 0:11They are making houses, making useful items.
- 0:14How are they made? So we ordered two 3D printers from Bambu Lab, one A1 and one X1 series
- 0:19Combo. And to make things you need filaments
- 0:21too, so that box is full
- 0:23as well. For this our whole team is excited, we will print things all day. I said, who is going to pay
- 0:28the electricity bill?
- 0:32By the way, pricing. The A1 Combo is around 47,000 and the X1 series Combo is around 1.5
- 0:37lakh. What is the difference, we will talk about all of it, and who should buy it
- 0:41and who should not. And I have
- 0:43heard that people have built big
- 0:44businesses from 3D printers. Let's build one too,
- 0:48a 3D printing business.
- 0:50CapCut is doing it. What is this?
- 0:52A Transformers machine. I think we need bodybuilder
- 0:54people, some heavy people. I said this needs two or three people.
- 1:00I said if I call two or three, let me just call one for the unboxing.
- 1:06Put your hand below. Yes, do this first. What will you make first?
- 1:13It had a
- 1:16user manual which I did not take too seriously.
- 1:19Who reads a user manual? Oh, this is accurate. Join their community too.
- 1:24All the stuff is in this, we have to
- 1:26assemble it. So what do we do, let's open the second one.
- 1:28Let me join one first.
- 1:33I thought we would open it and join one or two things and it would be done. But
- 1:36I don't know what is different. Let me open the second,
- 1:38and we will join them together, things will work somehow.
- 1:40Print something and something got made. Hey, a tube of grease too, the toothbrush type.
- 1:44This is lubricant grease.
- 1:47This will go here. In this, its filament
- 1:50will stick. Now this platform of its,
- 1:53this will move like this when printing happens. So this became our base.
- 1:58Our initial setup is done, but this fancy machine is still left.
- 2:04Finally we have assembled it fully. Turn the camera once. Three men,
- 2:08these are standing. Suppose the camera is here.
- 2:11Why is he standing here? There is no point.
- 2:13One extra entry is happening. What do you want?
- 2:16I want my money. My
- 2:20sewing machine, get it fixed. filament
- 2:22you have to buy separately. In the box there are one or two
- 2:24small things.
- 2:29Okay, this got fitted here. Here let's select English.
- 2:34We are in Asia Pacific. Select Wi-Fi, we have to install the Bambu Handy app.
- 2:39Here a lot of models are coming.
- 2:42Let's make a small item to understand. Where is the print?
- 2:45I am a beginner too, we don't know anything. So here some calibration.
- 2:49Here the printer ID is, and we start it.
- 2:52It has started. So while this calibration
- 2:56setup happens, let's open the second box. Easy.
- 3:00Glass items, handle with care, but this time in English.
- 3:04They have put a world of bubble wrap in this.
- 3:07Here, this is called team work. I'm mad.
- 3:14How lovely this looks, just like a microwave. Here, keep the user manual.
- 3:20By the way there are stickers on it, the kind that come on new freezers and washing machines.
- 3:24This
- 3:28glass. I was pulling it along
- 3:31when they were saying glass items, handle with care. Where have they put boxes?
- 3:38This is solid stuff.
- 3:40I loved it. Three filaments have come, green, black and white. My model to make first.
- 3:46And in this box, oh, a toffee. Sorry, this
- 3:48is grease, it looks like a toffee. Apart from that
- 3:51you get this wire, a power cord,
- 3:53and this, I don't know what it is. When we set it up
- 3:56we will see. In this there is another tamarind toffee, the booklet,
- 3:59extra Allen keys and screwdrivers. And this is the screen,
- 4:02in which our model will show. Oh
- 4:04wow, look sir. Do you know what we have to do?
- 4:06First it is boring. You can't open this.
- 4:10That came out very easily. So a barbecue will be made in this, it even looks like that.
- 4:14Put paneer pieces on it. Okay, so this is for the filament.
- 4:19Hold this, there is plastic on it.
- 4:21This plastic, these extra things are so that the machinery
- 4:26inside doesn't move. They just put it on
- 4:28so it stays exactly in place.
- 4:35Please remove the extra material, sir.
- 4:37The good stuff shouldn't get stuck. Keep it like this.
- 4:40Ahaha, what a thing, sir. So our printer is done. Let's put the power
- 4:46cord in and turn it on. It's Bambu Lab. Okay, let's calibrate it,
- 4:50let's make something and then meet you again. Actually I will meet you in the next shot,
- 4:54but there is a lot to print. It will take me a month easily. So approximately 4 months
- 4:59later, and these printers are behind me. And we hammered them, with these we
- 5:04printed a world of items. In the studio b-rolls you would have seen so many big items,
- 5:08a controller stand, on which we put a stylus and pull b-rolls.
- 5:12We printed cars. Look, in front of you,
- 5:15all this stuff, all of this we have printed with these two
- 5:17printers.
- 5:24And 3D printing was a first for me and I wanted to experience it. And after
- 5:27taking out so many prints in four months,
- 5:29I found out that some came out with perfection,
- 5:31somewhere something failed, some issues came up in these too, and many more things which I
- 5:36will cover in this video. If for the first time you are thinking
- 5:38of getting a 3D printer and you don't know anything,
- 5:40then I will explain exactly from that point of view. And
- 5:42here these two printers are, and there is a big difference
- 5:44in their pricing. One is 35,000 rupees, this
- 5:47printer, and around 1,50,000
- 5:49is this printer. I mean by looking it seems like
- 5:52the 1.5 lakh one will be very good,
- 5:54who knows what next level print
- 5:55it will produce, and in the 35,000 one nothing will happen.
- 5:57But here the game is very different, which
- 6:00you will get the answer to in this video. And if you are watching me
- 6:03for the first time, subscribe. Let me start with the 3D printer talk.
- 6:07The major difference you can tell by looking at
- 6:09these two side by side is
- 6:10the design. Here there is a completely open
- 6:13printer, printing happens right in the middle,
- 6:15its pipes come and go in the middle. But
- 6:17the other one, oh, absolutely premium. At the front
- 6:19glass, absolutely packed. Inside a small
- 6:20light is on, inside which printing happens. It feels
- 6:22like, oh, what strong work will happen. But like inside this, the AMS
- 6:26stand is on the side, in which all our
- 6:28filament is fitted. This filament
- 6:30is the same thing from which our print actually happens, it is a kind of plastic.
- 6:34And if you look at the other printer, its AMS,
- 6:36AMS means Automatic Material System,
- 6:38that it will go automatically. In that,
- 6:40it is on top of the printer like this, absolutely
- 6:43nicely covered. Everything is there. The work of both is the same, to do 3D printing. And both
- 6:47have a solid build. I mean if
- 6:48you look at the cheaper printer too,
- 6:50by looking it seems cheap, but whatever material is used inside it, wherever there is metal or
- 6:54plastic, that is good quality. And the 1.5 lakh one I would say, yes, this
- 6:57looks tremendous. And both have
- 6:59their own displays. The A1, which is the
- 7:01cheaper one, has a 3.5 inch display, a full
- 7:03touch display. And inside the X1
- 7:05we get a 5 inch display. And inside its display, if you have to start printing,
- 7:09if any issue comes, any error comes, calibration,
- 7:12loading filament,
- 7:13checking temperature, all these details you get inside their display.
- 7:16And this area
- 7:18where our print happens is called the heated
- 7:20bed, because it heats up.
- 7:23Things are made from heat after all.
- 7:25So here whenever printing happens, it heats
- 7:27to a specific temperature, and on top of that our printing starts like this.
- 7:31And when the print is done, taking it out
- 7:33is easy. The plate is metal, twist it slightly
- 7:35and it comes out automatically.
- 7:37Something like that. We did not need any tool
- 7:38at all. And one thing I found out from experience,
- 7:41this heated plate, if you touch it,
- 7:43any moisture from your skin or a bit of oil gets on it, because this plate
- 7:49is metal. Twist it slightly and
- 7:52it comes out automatically. Or we
- 7:55found out later that you should not touch it.
- 7:57So either you can wash it, then
- 7:58without touching it, after it dries, you
- 8:00print. Or through regular isopropyl alcohol
- 8:02you can clean it, and only after that do the printing. I mean these are small
- 8:06things that you need to keep in mind if you are getting a 3D printer for the first time.
- 8:09And one main question comes to people's minds, if it is a cheap printer then in this we will
- 8:12make small things, and if it is an expensive printer
- 8:14then big things will get made.
- 8:16But no, both printers' build
- 8:18volume, basically the surface area of the plate,
- 8:20is exactly the same. Meaning whatever you can make in the 1.5 lakh printer,
- 8:24you can make in this 35,000 one too.
- 8:26Now one major component of this printer which
- 8:28gets used a lot, that is the extruder. This front part you are seeing,
- 8:32which actually starts the drawing, which starts the 3D
- 8:34printing on our heated plate.
- 8:36Inside this there are the highest chances of problems coming, and in our case
- 8:40it did come. Sometimes the filament gets stuck inside it,
- 8:42which is why its regular cleaning is very important,
- 8:44because this is where your filament
- 8:45comes out from, as it heats to a set temperature
- 8:47from inside and after that the filament
- 8:49starts coming out, from which our 3D printing
- 8:51starts. So in between, as we were printing
- 8:53and watching, in the X1 our problem started in the extruder.
- 8:55Then we opened that
- 8:56extruder and checked, and some
- 8:58gears inside it had worn out. So because of that we had to change the whole extruder.
- 9:02But this extruder was available for 4,500 rupees, so we changed the whole thing.
- 9:06And along with this let me tell you one thing, all the parts of a 3D printer
- 9:09are easily available, like we have Bambu Lab printers. So whenever you buy a 3D printer,
- 9:14do think about its service, because this is a thing that runs a lot.
- 9:17So there are high chances of it breaking, or chances of issues coming.
- 9:20So whichever printer's parts are available,
- 9:22buy that one. Now connected to the extruder
- 9:24is one of the most important, the nozzle,
- 9:26from where our filament comes out to start
- 9:28the printing. And here you find out the difference between an expensive and a cheap printer,
- 9:31the two models I have. And by default with both printers we get a 0.4mm
- 9:35nozzle. But if you want you can change it too. For different printing
- 9:39you get options of different mm nozzles,
- 9:42from 0.2mm up to 0.8mm. And whichever
- 9:44nozzle is fitted in your 3D printer,
- 9:46you have to select it
- 9:47at the time of printing. Now here the mm
- 9:49difference comes in our printing speed
- 9:51and its finishing. So the thinner the
- 9:53nozzle you select, the finer the printing will be,
- 9:56but it will be that much slower.
- 9:57The thicker the nozzle, you can understand that a lot will come out from inside, the filament.
- 10:02Now after that comes the filament, which is the
- 10:04material. What you are seeing, which we have
- 10:06fitted inside its AMS, this is a plastic.
- 10:08filament is a very universal word,
- 10:10a lot of filaments come. I will put it on screen,
- 10:13like PLA, ABS,
- 10:14PETG, TPU. Now these have their own advantages and disadvantages.
- 10:18Suppose one is very strong, one prints slowly, one is because of heat.
- 10:21Like that, different materials online
- 10:27you can buy their filaments, and with that do your printing. It depends on
- 10:30what you have to print. One thing is, at home if you normally pick up a 3D printer for the first time,
- 10:33like I had brought it, then we
- 10:35ran PLA filament, which is a basic
- 10:37filament. A roll comes for around 600 to 700 rupees, it is 1 kg.
- 10:41With this you can do single colour printing,
- 10:42or when you buy single colour, or multi
- 10:44colour printing you can also do.
- 10:46This is basic, meaning the quality is also okay, the type
- 10:48you get, it is like the plastic of Chinese toys.
- 10:51It does that type of printing. But then as you increase the quality,
- 10:54like glossy plastic comes, or if you want to print transparent type material,
- 10:58then the filament keeps getting that much more expensive. So all this became slightly advanced level
- 11:02information, for when you reach a bit of an upper level in 3D printing.
- 11:05If you are a bit upper level then
- 11:07either you are watching the video to test my knowledge.
- 11:15After that, a very important thing in printing is the sensors that
- 11:18are fitted inside both printers. There is a camera too, which records this footage
- 11:21while printing. Those time lapses get recorded.
- 11:24Apart from that there is a LiDAR sensor which
- 11:26recognises depth. And this sensor
- 11:28information is Crucial for a consumer and also not,
- 11:30it depends
- 11:32on what level of user you are. If you are entry level then it is fine, it is a machine, press the on
- 11:36button and it will start printing. Otherwise the more
- 11:38advanced printers get, inside them
- 11:40more sensors get added. What their benefits are, until I test it
- 11:43how do I tell you. And the most important thing inside a 3D printer is
- 11:47the software experience. And here Bambu Lab, I think, has done
- 11:51the best work in software itself, because they have a whole ecosystem. One is the Bambu
- 11:55Studio application which we get on both Windows and Mac,
- 11:57and through this
- 11:59you can start printing. I mean inside it
- 12:00you have to import a model, select printer,
- 12:02select the filament, and your printing starts. And inside it there are quite
- 12:05a lot of settings like layer height,
- 12:07infill, support, wall count, speed, temperature,
- 12:10which obviously when you use it you will see. And then there is an app called Bambu Handy
- 12:14which runs on both Android and iPhone. And this is the application we have used the most.
- 12:17Inside it too we can start printing, pause printing, see the live
- 12:21camera, which I was showing you too,
- 12:23and we get printing progress
- 12:24as well. And when printing completes, a notification comes
- 12:27too. Suppose I set the printing and left,
- 12:29and it prints a few hours, then a notification comes on my phone
- 12:31saying yes, the print is done. And through live printing I can also see
- 12:34whether the printing is going right or not,
- 12:35because if an issue comes in between,
- 12:37after that it keeps running and spoils
- 12:39the print. So if I want, I can stop it from my phone.
- 12:41And now the biggest question comes to mind, if we don't know 3D designing or 3D modelling,
- 12:45how will we run a 3D printer? You don't need to take
- 12:47much tension, a world of
- 12:49models are online. There is a website called Maker
- 12:51World, inside which there are so many ready
- 12:53to print models.
- 12:55Just download directly and print straight from the phone or through its PC app.
- 12:59From the internet you will get a lot of .STL
- 13:02or .3MF files, a lot of 3D
- 13:05models which you can print. If you watch a lot of short reels, people
- 13:08have printed so much stuff.
- 13:13Do it. Apart from that we have printed all this stuff too,
- 13:15all of this by downloading online. Which
- 13:173D modelling artist do we have?
- 13:19And whenever you print any model, before that you get all the information about
- 13:22how many hours it will take to print,
- 13:24at which settings how much time. Basically
- 13:26there are different printing settings which I will cover later in the printing experience.
- 13:29So you will be able to see how long your task will take. Otherwise
- 13:33if you want you can do remote printing too,
- 13:34because its application works
- 13:36remotely too. From your phone you control the printer,
- 13:38your printer just needs to be on,
- 13:40and from there you can start printing.
- 13:41So overall the software experience
- 13:43is quite good, and because of that it becomes very easy to use. I mean for a
- 13:47beginner like me too. Our team was
- 13:48using it and we did not face that many issues
- 13:50in using it. Like our normal paper printer,
- 13:53you give a command for a PDF or anything and it gets printed. It just doesn't print as fast
- 13:58as paper. And here in place of paper
- 14:01filament goes in. Now the AMS I was talking about
- 14:03at the time of design, inside which our filament is kept. Now the one with the A1,
- 14:09it is an open affair, all the filament is lying open, so an issue can come in this,
- 14:12that is moisture. The more moisture free the filament,
- 14:14the better the print will be,
- 14:17the chances of printing failure will be minimum. And here inside the X1, if you look,
- 14:20our filament is completely nicely covered.
- 14:22Inside it stays in a controlled environment,
- 14:24because of which you don't get printing issues. But that did not happen in our case
- 14:28either, because printing issues we did get some, which obviously
- 14:31I will tell you about later. And with filament
- 14:33one thing to keep in mind is that the filament
- 14:35should not get tangled. When it gets stuck our printing stops, and when
- 14:38printing stops then the print gets spoiled
- 14:39and sometimes it does not resume
- 14:41that way either. And after this mainly comes
- 14:43our printing experience. And we have printed a world
- 14:45of items. Some are kept on our table here too.
- 14:50We keep them too. And now we have become wholesale sellers of toys. Look at the stuff
- 14:55here, how much there is. And I will show you all the stuff one by one. Here
- 14:58one thing we saw in printing, first of all we did single colour printing.
- 15:01There are a lot of products
- 15:02which are in single colours, and then some are multi colour.
- 15:05In multi colour, if you look more,
- 15:07mostly we have done dual colour
- 15:08printing, because whenever we were doing multi colour printing,
- 15:10one, it is the rainy season,
- 15:12moisture is very high, and in that filament
- 15:15issues come. Whatever we print in multi
- 15:17colour, like we printed this GTA 5 logo.
- 15:20Inside it there is black colour, green and white
- 15:22too. If you look closely,
- 15:26this could not print in that much detail, an issue was coming in between. And many times printing
- 15:29fails too, meaning it printed half and after that it got spoiled. A lot of our things
- 15:33got spoiled.
- 15:37For this, if you have to make decorative items,
- 15:39we printed quite a few. First of all,
- 15:41if we look at useful items, here we printed a lot of things.
- 15:44And when
- 15:48we put a controller on this, how lovely it looks. And we have shown you in quite a few b-rolls
- 15:52in our videos. And by the way we printed this white, but on top of
- 15:55that we printed over it. And this is
- 15:59very much. And there is the GTA 5 logo, the lizard. We have printed
- 16:03names like this too, like mine is Shiva Maroda,
- 16:06Venom Tech, and our
- 16:07team's names we printed quite a few, for our
- 16:09office. If you want to print something,
- 16:10it looks very good. If you want to do it in multicolour, in a different font style, this can be useful in businesses too.
- 16:16Apart from that there are keyboard stands like this which you can put under a keyboard,
- 16:19so the keyboard inclines a bit. If someone's stand broke
- 16:23and you still want to incline the keyboard
- 16:24like this, then these stands
- 16:26can come in handy. And these are just one or two things. Apart from that we made a cushion pillow, on which
- 16:29you can stand a controller like this. And we were printing this with one filament,
- 16:33but one of ours finished, so we started another filament, so this became dual colour.
- 16:36Otherwise if you want to spray paint
- 16:38on this type of plastic, it happens comfortably
- 16:40and looks quite good. Apart from that we made a vegetable cleaner like this,
- 16:43inside which if you have to clean things,
- 16:46it is quite good. We made an egg shell cracker,
- 16:48put the egg in the middle and after that here we get two hooks, and with that our
- 16:52egg breaks. But its size is quite big, so if the egg
- 16:55is small then pour water, if you have to clean
- 16:59anything. A headphone stand, like look at this skull, put headphones on it.
- 17:06One we made of a steering wheel, like alloys
- 17:07are, we made a headphone stand of that. It looks quite good,
- 17:10put headphones on, and behind it we fitted an LED
- 17:11light. And lying on the table
- 17:13it gives such a lovely vibe. And we made a monitor slab on which you can keep
- 17:17a few things. Like the
- 17:18Moza steering wheel we have to test,
- 17:20on it we have to fit a smartphone
- 17:22holder. So for that we
- 17:25printed a holder too, and there we fitted a whole tablet in the middle. So
- 17:28if in your real life some problem is coming and you have to find a solution, then that
- 17:32happens in 3D printing. And all the models
- 17:33are easily available. Anything you think of
- 17:35in your mind, its model will be easily available. And one we saw a lot in Instagram reels,
- 17:39this is a stress buster type thing of ours.
- 17:42We keep playing with it, but its plastic
- 17:44sound causes a bit of irritation. And like
- 17:46guns we printed. Single colour printing was coming out the best. If
- 17:50you look at this one closely, its detail came out
- 17:52quite well. But yes, to make the detail a bit more precise,
- 17:54a tool kit comes, with that you have to do a bit of
- 17:56finishing, so that if you want the
- 17:58item to look a bit better. And there is a lot of wastage. Like we made a console type thing
- 18:02for a Nintendo Switch,
- 18:03in which the Nintendo Switch fits. Now
- 18:05we printed it three times, all three times some issue was coming, sometimes the printing stopped
- 18:09in between, so there is a lot of wastage. A
- 18:11good temperature in which your filament keeps printing well,
- 18:13apart from that your electricity, and many more issues come in between. It is
- 18:17not like what we see in reels, quick quick quick
- 18:20and the printing is done. It is not
- 18:21like that, you will get issues. Otherwise there are a lot of items. We made a PS5 stand,
- 18:25one we made Virat Kohli's signature, and we made this jersey, printed India Knight,
- 18:30which we use in videos. We put a stylus in its hand,
- 18:33so it looks quite good, like it is holding a sword.
- 18:35This Wolverine claw
- 18:36we printed, it is quite good.
- 18:38It goes inside and when you push it forward it comes out.
- 18:41I mean they became toy types. And a flute
- 18:45was working too. I thought it wouldn't work,
- 18:46that it would just print nicely. Apart from this
- 18:48Harry Potter wand we printed. There are
- 18:50so many items. If you look, we have printed
- 18:53all sorts of things.
- 18:59Like I was talking about failure, I was making my own miniature, so here you can
- 19:02see, this print
- 19:03was done. Like my glasses, their full detail
- 19:07did not print, so it became quite bad. And
- 19:09like this a lot of things get spoiled
- 19:11in between. And one question was in our mind, if we print the same thing from both printers,
- 19:14will there be a difference in their quality? So like we printed this PlayStation 5
- 19:17stand, one we did from the X1 Carbon and one from the A1. And
- 19:22after looking closely we felt that yes, there is a minor difference, but as such no major difference
- 19:26was felt in the printing. Just a few details
- 19:28go up and down. The X1
- 19:30Carbon's details come out slightly better. And the printing varies more than the printer,
- 19:33yours.
- 19:37It spoils the filament, so keeping it clean is very important.
- 19:42And yes, when the printer runs, it is quite
- 19:49loud. I mean it can be clearly noticed.
- 19:52If it is running in one room and you are
- 19:53in the room next to it, you will know. And where the printing happens,
- 19:58inside that too there is a small fan,
- 19:59and it moves quite fast because it has to
- 20:01maintain the temperature of the filament,
- 20:03and that makes a fair bit of noise.
- 20:05Otherwise it depends on the speed you are
- 20:06running the printer at, and with that your noise
- 20:08happens. The noise is audible. And
- 20:10by the way, the brand claims that
- 20:12there is power loss recovery, that if
- 20:14the light goes while printing, and when it comes back
- 20:16your print will continue from there
- 20:17and won't be spoiled. In some cases it happened
- 20:19that the print continued and printed well
- 20:21too. But in most cases the print
- 20:23got spoiled, because as per our temperature the filament prints one on top of another,
- 20:28it sticks on top. So if
- 20:30the temperature below has changed, or above
- 20:32has changed, or inside your extruder the temperature has changed, it recalibrates,
- 20:36so 90% of the time it cannot
- 20:39print, it just spoils the print
- 20:41completely. So the biggest solution for this is a UPS. How to buy a UPS,
- 20:43through power output,
- 20:45we have made a video on the channel. Do watch that video, then you will be able to
- 20:48select a UPS depending upon the power output, and which printer you have taken.
- 20:52And in these printers we also get speed.
- 20:54And the same thing, if you print at three different speeds,
- 20:56the difference is a lot. But as much speed as you use,
- 20:59that much speed you get. To print some small item
- 21:01on the go, then it can be useful.
- 21:03If you want some other type of item for further
- 21:05selling, or if you want something for your own usage,
- 21:07then you have to print at a slow speed.
- 21:09So a nice print quality comes,
- 21:11meaning the details are very good.
- 21:13And as of today people are taking 3D printers for businesses too,
- 21:16that if we print things at home
- 21:17and sell them on Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho,
- 21:19then there is profit. Yes, you
- 21:21can earn if you are printing good things
- 21:23in bulk. A lot of people have built businesses on this. But that
- 21:26one printer.
- 21:28If you are selling any item, at least you will print 5 units or 10 units
- 21:31at a time, so at least 5 to
- 21:3310 printers you will need. I would recommend
- 21:35that you can start with the A1.
- 21:37It does quite good printing for its price point,
- 21:39it gives good output. There is no need to go towards the more expensive one
- 21:42either. That is a learning curve. When
- 21:44you learn to run the slightly cheaper one,
- 21:46after that if you feel some differences, if your need
- 21:48grows. And if we look at real life
- 21:52printing cost, like we printed this
- 21:54boat. Now to print it we
- 21:55used around 12 grams of filament.
- 21:58The full details I will put on screen,
- 21:59how many hours it took.
- 22:01So our price per gram
- 22:05came to around one and a half rupees, so here 18 rupees of filament was used. And after that
- 22:08if we look at electricity, it took 1 hour
- 22:10to print, so accordingly if we calculate the electricity
- 22:13bill it comes to 1 to 1.5 rupees per print. And apart from this the printer's
- 22:17maintenance, if some issue happened in between or your print got spoiled, that cost
- 22:20we also add, approximately 20 rupees. So this boat took around
- 22:2530 minutes. So if we calculate the electricity bill, or if you are using it at home
- 22:31too, then you get an idea of the cost. Further
- 22:33if you want to look at it for business,
- 22:34this is as per single printing. But if
- 22:36you are doing multiple printing side by side
- 22:38then your efficiency, you can reduce the cost
- 22:40a bit too. On one bed multiple
- 22:43printing you can also do together. Like this,
- 22:45on its whole bed you can print 5-6 boats together
- 22:48as well. So there the cost works out. So there are a lot of things. If you
- 22:51are thinking from a business perspective then watch a few more videos.
- 22:55Don't form an opinion from one video. I am taking a
- 22:56base, that if you are new to 3D printing
- 22:58time, then a bit of understanding. Let me give you some 3D printing
- 23:02tips. Like however many times you print, the waste that comes out. Whenever
- 23:06our printing starts,
- 23:07some extra plastic wire comes out.
- 23:08Then when the colour changes, then too our extra plastic comes out from behind like this.
- 23:11So this is basically 3D printing poop, like humans have. This printer
- 23:16go and print.
- 23:20We had printed something, a small bucket, so all of it went inside.
- 23:22And this too you can convert into filament.
- 23:24Recycler machines come for it,
- 23:26so you can use that after some time
- 23:28too, because this is plastic and for our
- 23:30environment it is not good. So by recycling it you can do more printing of usable
- 23:34items. And if for a business purpose you have a 3D printer and you have to print something
- 23:38you want to sell, then don't print one item at a
- 23:41time. Print multiple items at once,
- 23:43meaning the same looking item. If three or four items can be printed on one plate,
- 23:47then do it together, so your time will be saved a lot.
- 23:49And this Maker World website,
- 23:51on it there are so many useful items related to 3D printing, so many useful items.
- 23:55If you have to make a holder for something,
- 23:58some item used at home, it is very
- 24:00good. I mean you must look at this website if you
- 24:01get a 3D printer. And one more important tip,
- 24:03the drier your filament stays,
- 24:05the better print you will get. Moisture
- 24:07should not come, otherwise printing stops in between,
- 24:10filament can get stuck in the extruder.
- 24:11There are a lot of things. So this was my full 4
- 24:13month experience with these two 3D printers,
- 24:15I mean a 35,000 rupee 3D printer versus
- 24:17a 1.5 lakh 3D printer. So if I give a final verdict
- 24:20from my side, both printers are good in their own place.
- 24:23But if you are a beginner, if you just want a 3D printer for home,
- 24:26if you have to print things for your home,
- 24:28if you use the printer for educational purposes,
- 24:30useful items at home,
- 24:31then it is value for money.
- 24:36With it you get this AMS slide too, in which all the filaments fit, and
- 24:39you can do multi colour printing,
- 24:40you can do single colour printing too. Just one thing
- 24:42which I told you earlier, inside it you can use only PLA and PETG filaments.
- 24:46Apart from that, the advanced level filaments cannot be used in our Bambu Lab A1.
- 24:51If you are a content creator, or have to use engineering
- 24:53filaments, because
- 24:553D printers are used not only in homes but in a lot of businesses too,
- 24:58they are used in a lot of professions
- 25:00too. So in that, different types
- 25:01of filaments are used. For that
- 25:03you take the advanced 3D printer, inside
- 25:05which, the X1 I have used, inside it ABS,
- 25:07ASA, Nylon, Carbon Fiber, all of those.
- 25:10So in that, different types
- 25:14of filaments are used. For that
- 25:19you take the advanced 3D printer. You will have to do it, you will have to fit it.
- 25:22So it is not that you just set it up and keep running it and it will keep running. Issues will come, problems
- 25:27you will have to solve yourself. But in itself
- 25:28it is a good thing, so do check it out. I
- 25:30had Bambu Lab ones. If you want a video on any other printer, comment
- 25:33and tell me. Otherwise like, share, subscribe. See you in the next video. Till then, bye.
