I Tested Every Legal Gaming Enhancer (Only 4 Matter) — Transcript

- 0:00I tried the most powerful legal gaming
- 0:01enhancers I could find, the energy
- 0:02powders, the focus gum, the e-sport hand
- 0:04warmer, the sleep drink, plus normal
- 0:06stuff people use anyway. And all of this
- 0:08cost me like $250 of my own money, and I
- 0:10tested every single one in real ranked
- 0:12games. And look, after more than 10,000
- 0:14hours in shooters, I know exactly how I
- 0:16play on a normal day. So, if any of
- 0:17these actually changes something, I will
- 0:19notice. But before we jump into it, this
- 0:21video is sponsored by ExitLag. And
- 0:23honestly, this is one of those programs
- 0:24I always heard about, but never really
- 0:26understood how it actually works. So,
- 0:27let me explain it the way I understood
- 0:29it. play online games, your internet
- 0:31provider routes your connection however
- 0:33it wants. And that path is not always
- 0:35the best one for gaming. Sometimes it
- 0:37takes some weird detour through half of
- 0:39Europe before it reaches the game
- 0:40server, and that's where your random
- 0:42ping spikes come from. Now, ExitLag
- 0:44fixes that path. It sends your
- 0:46connection through multiple optimized
- 0:47routes at the same time. It's called
- 0:49multipath, and keeps you on the fastest
- 0:51one using AI route optimization. They
- 0:53have over 1,200 servers on five
- 0:54continents, and it works with more than
- 0:564,000 games. So, you get like Valorant,
- 0:58CS:GO, League of Legends, Fortnite,
- 1:00whatever you're playing, it's in here.
- 1:02And me, it actually works. This is a
- 1:03Valorant ping before ExitLag and ping
- 1:05after. Now, setup is genuinely easy. You
- 1:07make an account, download the latest
- 1:08version, install it, pick your game and
- 1:10your server, hit activate, that's it.
- 1:12It's like 1 minute. And you can just
- 1:13leave it on automatic and never touch
- 1:15[music] it again. Or if you're the type
- 1:16of person who wants to see what your
- 1:17connection is actually doing, they have
- 1:19a diagnostic center where you can check
- 1:21everything yourself. Now, if you want to
- 1:22try, they have the level up deal going
- 1:24on right now. The annual plan is 50%
- 1:26off, plus you get 90-day free on top.
- 1:28And you can use those yourself or share
- 1:30them with your squad. It's for new
- 1:31subscription on annual plans, and you
- 1:33need the coupon code to activate the
- 1:35discount. And the link and the code are
- 1:36in the description. Now, back to the
- 1:38video. And we start with what you
- 1:39swallow because that's where most of
- 1:41your money goes. And because honestly,
- 1:42half of this pile runs on the exact same
- 1:44ingredient, caffeine. So, of course, I'm
- 1:46going to start with black coffee. Now,
- 1:48this is my go-to for like 10 years at
- 1:49this point. Small, concentrated, made on
- 1:52one of those Italian moka pots. No
- 1:54sugar, no milk, nothing. And that comes
- 1:56around about like 80 mg of caffeine per
- 1:58cup. And since I drank like two of these
- 2:00a day, my tolerance is stupid high by
- 2:02now. So, keep that in mind for this
- 2:03entire video. Now, what coffee actually
- 2:05does is pretty simple. It blocks the
- 2:07thing in your brain that makes you feel
- 2:08tired, and that's it. But, the real
- 2:10secret with coffee is water, because if
- 2:11you only drink coffee and no water, you
- 2:13end up dehydrated, and you feel worse,
- 2:15not better. At least for me, that means
- 2:17cloudy head, slow reaction time, kind of
- 2:19sleepy, basically the opposite of what
- 2:21you want. Now, coffee plus water though,
- 2:23you're like 10 times better, zero
- 2:24problem. And that's the part nobody
- 2:26sells you. You make it at home exactly
- 2:27how strong you want it, no gaming logo,
- 2:29no markup, no mystery blend on the
- 2:31label. So, that's an easy eight out of
- 2:3210 for me. Honestly, the best thing you
- 2:34can do if you understand what you want
- 2:35from it. Which also means that from this
- 2:37point on, everything in this pile has
- 2:39one job, beat eight out of 10 at
- 2:41basically zero cost. And the first
- 2:42challenger is probably the most famous
- 2:45gaming drink on this planet. And I'm
- 2:46talking about G Fuel, around like 50
- 2:48bucks where I live. And I used it for
- 2:50like four to five days straight in
- 2:51ranked, in aim training, the whole
- 2:53routine. Now, the taste is honestly
- 2:54pretty good, not wow, not bad. It goes
- 2:56down easy, you drink it like a juice.
- 2:58And that right there is actually my
- 2:59biggest problem with this product, but
- 3:00I'll get to that in a second. Because
- 3:02first, the real question is what did
- 3:04they actually do? And the honest answer
- 3:05is for me, basically nothing. And once
- 3:07you look at what's inside, it makes
- 3:09sense. Because G Fuel is essentially a
- 3:10pre-workout with a gaming logo on it.
- 3:12It's like a pre-workout without the
- 3:14beta-alanine. So, don't get those
- 3:15tingles on your skin. It usually has
- 3:17less caffeine than one, and the rest of
- 3:19the formula is a bunch of ingredients
- 3:20you can't really feel anyway. And even
- 3:22accounting for my tolerance, there's
- 3:23just nothing here that justifies the
- 3:25price. Because a decent pre-workout is
- 3:27like 25 to 30 bucks. [music] This is
- 3:28almost double. Now, the part I said that
- 3:30I come back to. The taste being good is
- 3:32not a feature here, it's a trap. Because
- 3:33these drinks are like juice, and if
- 3:35you're a young and you like the flavor,
- 3:36nothing stops you from mixing scoop
- 3:38after scoop until you casually drank
- 3:40like 400 mg of caffeine without feeling
- 3:42like you took anything serious. So, did
- 3:44it beat coffee? Not even close. And the
- 3:46score is like a four out of 10 for me.
- 3:48But, here is where it gets interesting,
- 3:49because the The product has no flavor,
- 3:51no branding, no marketing budget, and
- 3:53it's the best thing I tested in this
- 3:54entire pile. Two separate bottles,
- 3:56caffeine pills, the one I tested were
- 3:58like 200 mg and L-theanine pills next to
- 4:01them. No flavor, no mascot, no esports
- 4:04team, and this combo is the best thing I
- 4:05swallowed in this entire pile. So, the
- 4:07idea is simple, you take them together,
- 4:09and in theory the caffeine gives you
- 4:10like the alertness while the L-theanine
- 4:12[music] adds calmness on top. Normally,
- 4:14I'm very skeptical about the in theory
- 4:16part, but this one I actually felt.
- 4:17Because here is the problem with
- 4:19caffeine alone. If you go too hard on
- 4:20coffee, you get palpitations, you get
- 4:22agitated, you have energy, but it's not
- 4:24that type of energy like sitting in a
- 4:25chair energy. Your body wants to move,
- 4:27and that's the worst possible energy for
- 4:29like holding an angle in CS2. And this
- 4:31combo is a bit different. You're alert,
- 4:33but calm. Focused, but no jitters, no
- 4:35shaking, no tunnel vision like when you
- 4:37overdo coffee. Just this clean, calm
- 4:39focus that works for gaming, for work,
- 4:41for anything where you need your brain
- 4:43on it, but your hands steady. And for me
- 4:45personally, the reaction time felt nice.
- 4:47I felt more locked in, and I had like
- 4:49none of the downsides that I know from
- 4:50years of caffeine. One important thing
- 4:52though, if you already love drinking
- 4:53coffee, the ritual, the taste, the whole
- 4:55thing, the pills won't feel like some
- 4:56upgrade because it's the same caffeine
- 4:58at the core. The pills are for when you
- 5:00want the effect without the drink. And
- 5:01that's the actual use case. So, 8.5 out
- 5:04of 10. And it beat my own coffee, which
- 5:06after like 10 years I didn't expect to
- 5:07say. And with that, the swallow category
- 5:09should be done except there's one more
- 5:11product, same two ingredients, same
- 5:13promise, completely different format.
- 5:14And somehow, it barely did anything. And
- 5:16I'm talking about NeuroGum, caffeine
- 5:18plus L-theanine again. combo I give an
- 5:218.5, but this time in a chewing gum. So,
- 5:23on paper this should be great. But in
- 5:25reality, at least for me it barely
- 5:26registered anything. And the reason is
- 5:28pretty simple, the dose. One piece of
- 5:29this gum has a fraction of the caffeine
- 5:31from the pills. So, at my tolerance,
- 5:33chewing this was basically chewing
- 5:34normal gum with extra steps. Now, to be
- 5:36fair, if you're like caffeine sensitive
- 5:37or you just like having something to
- 5:39chew during games like you're some kind
- 5:41of maniac, this might actually be your
- 5:43format. The delivery is faster, too,
- 5:45because it absorbs through your mouth
- 5:46instead of your stomach. So, in theory,
- 5:48it kicks in quicker. But, quicker to
- 5:50what? The dose I can feel and the market
- 5:51value it's worth. You pay more per
- 5:53serving than buying caffeine and
- 5:55L-theanine in pills separately for less
- 5:57of both. Same ingredients, smaller dose,
- 5:59higher price just because it's portable
- 6:00and has focus written on the back,
- 6:02basically. So, it's a three out of 10
- 6:04for me. If the pills exist, I don't see
- 6:06the point. And that closes the swallow
- 6:07category, where the pattern is already
- 6:09obvious. Everything here runs on the
- 6:10same molecule and the more gimmicky
- 6:12marketing on the label, the worse the
- 6:14deal gets. And before someone types in
- 6:15the comments, yeah, I know about the
- 6:17nicotine stuff, the snus, the zyn, the
- 6:19patches, everything the CS scene is
- 6:20basically famous for. And I tried the
- 6:22nicotine patch once as a non-smoker and
- 6:24I almost threw up. And if you don't
- 6:25smoke, starting an addiction just to aim
- 6:27better is one of the dumbest things you
- 6:29can do. And what is next doesn't go in
- 6:30your body at all, it goes on it. And the
- 6:32first one is something I was already
- 6:33using daily before this video even
- 6:35existed. And I'm talking about the
- 6:36gaming arm sleeve. So, what does it
- 6:38actually do? It's simple. It sits
- 6:40between your arm and the pad. No more
- 6:41skin sticking to the surface, no more
- 6:43sweat soaking into the cloth, no more of
- 6:45that stop-start friction that you get
- 6:47when your forearm drags to the mouse
- 6:49pad. And on a glass pad, this goes from
- 6:51nice to have to basically mandatory.
- 6:53Bare skin on glass sticks and [music]
- 6:54there's nothing you can do about it.
- 6:56Now, the honest part, how much it helps
- 6:57depends on the sleeve itself, because
- 6:59the material matters way more than
- 7:01people think. I've tested around like 10
- 7:02of these at this point and the
- 7:04difference between a good one and a bad
- 7:05one is kind of huge. Some glide super
- 7:07clean, some catch onto the pad and make
- 7:09everything worse. And from everything I
- 7:10tried, the best options right now are
- 7:12from War Hack or Pulsar. These are the
- 7:14ones that actually pulled you through.
- 7:15And the best part is the price, because
- 7:17these are kind of cheap. Course, it's
- 7:18subjective, but for what they give you,
- 7:20it's one of the best value purchases in
- 7:22this entire pile. So, I would score this
- 7:24like a eight out of 10. So, of course,
- 7:26this one earned its place. The next
- 7:27thing on this desk, though, doesn't
- 7:29touch your setup at all. Its whole job
- 7:31is just to sit in your hands between
- 7:32rounds. And this is the ESL hand warmer.
- 7:35You see pro players between rounds
- 7:36holding some black object or like green
- 7:38in my case, just playing with it. And
- 7:39that That my first contact with this
- 7:41thing. At first, I thought it was like a
- 7:42fidget spinner and then I found out it's
- 7:44actually a thing. Now, when you're
- 7:45stressed, when you have much nerves,
- 7:47your hands go cold. So, pros hold this
- 7:50to keep the aim hand warm, which as a
- 7:52concept makes sense and this one, the
- 7:53officially SL version made with Warmly
- 7:56as a product, honestly, it's well-made.
- 7:57It's a properly charges fast, two
- 7:59magnetic pieces that [music] you can
- 8:01split, one in each hand or snap
- 8:03together. Generally, interesting object,
- 8:04but the question was never does it warm
- 8:06your hand? The question is did it change
- 8:08anything in my games? And for me, no. My
- 8:10hands got warm, sure, but not in the
- 8:11same way where my aim suddenly felt
- 8:13different. It's not like you touch this
- 8:15thing and your fingers become new. For
- 8:17me, it ended up being an expensive
- 8:18feature toy between rounds and that's
- 8:20the honest frame for it. This is not
- 8:21like some performance enhancer, it's
- 8:23more like a stabilizer. If you play in a
- 8:24cold room, if you're like at a LAN with
- 8:26the AC blasting, if your hands generally
- 8:28go cold from stress, warming them is
- 8:31like real. Cold fingers really are much
- 8:33slower. But at home, normal temperature,
- 8:35warm hands, there's nothing to fix. So,
- 8:37for my case, it's a three out of 10,
- 8:38waste of money, basically. Which brings
- 8:40us to the last product in this group and
- 8:41this one you stick on your face. And I'm
- 8:43talking about nasal strips and yeah, I
- 8:45stuck this on my face for you. So, the
- 8:46pitch sounds simple, the strip pulls
- 8:48your nostril open, you breathe easier,
- 8:50more air and in theory, that means more
- 8:52oxygen, better focus. At least that's
- 8:53what the box wants you to believe. And
- 8:55pros started wearing them in official
- 8:57matches, on camera, in front of
- 8:58millions, so I tested the expensive one,
- 9:00the cheap ones, basically everything I
- 9:02could find. And look, the breathing part
- 9:03is kind of real. You do feel your nose
- 9:05more open, the sensation exists, but
- 9:07that was the entire experience. Because
- 9:09feeling more air in your nose and
- 9:10playing better are two completely
- 9:12different things. And in my games, I
- 9:13felt nothing. No extra focus, no better
- 9:15aim, no difference at all. As a gaming
- 9:17product, it's a placebo, at least for me
- 9:18and on top of doing nothing, they're
- 9:20generally annoying. You have a sticker
- 9:22pulling on your face the whole session
- 9:23and good luck if it's like summer. So,
- 9:25for me, it's a one out of 10, the worst
- 9:26thing in this entire pile. But there is
- 9:28exactly one thing on that box that's not
- 9:30nonsense. [music]
- 9:31Because the one place where these strips
- 9:33have an actual legit use case is sleep.
- 9:34And that word is the perfect bridge
- 9:36because the last product on this desk
- 9:38doesn't do anything while you're
- 9:39playing. It works while you're
- 9:40unconscious. And I'm talking about Mad
- 9:42Monk Zen Plus, a sleep drink made for
- 9:44gamers from a brand that follows me
- 9:46around the internet non-stop. Their ads
- 9:47are everywhere, so at some point I said,
- 9:49"Fine, let's actually test it." And the
- 9:51logic behind it is honestly the most
- 9:52solid one in this entire pile. You sleep
- 9:54better, you wake up fresh, and if you're
- 9:56fresh, you play better. So, I took it
- 9:57for a few nights and I track everything
- 9:59on my Whoop. And the recovery scores
- 10:00those days were generally high, so case
- 10:02closed, I guess, but not really. Well,
- 10:04here's the part the marketing doesn't
- 10:05tell you. When you look at what's
- 10:06actually inside, the two ingredients
- 10:08doing the heavy lifting are like
- 10:09magnesium, and they don't even specify
- 10:11which type of magnesium on the box,
- 10:12which is, again, a red flag in my case.
- 10:15And again, L-theanine, the same
- 10:16L-theanine from earlier in this video.
- 10:18And here is the problem. Before this
- 10:20product, I was already taking generic
- 10:21magnesium and L-theanine before bed.
- 10:23Same combo, both separately, way
- 10:25cheaper. And my recovery scores on that
- 10:26generic stack, the same. So, this drink
- 10:29didn't beat my normal routine, it just
- 10:30repackaged it with a gaming brand on top
- 10:32and a better story. And honestly, when
- 10:34the combo is secondary, because the real
- 10:36secret to waking up fresh is stuff
- 10:37nobody can sell you. Drink your water,
- 10:39don't eat 3 hours or 4 hours before bed,
- 10:41and don't doom scroll on your phone till
- 10:43like 2:00 a.m. Now, do those things and
- 10:45you're already ahead of any powder. So,
- 10:47is it worth it? In my opinion, no,
- 10:48because the same ingredients exist
- 10:50without the mascot for less money. So,
- 10:52it's a five out of 10. The logic is
- 10:54right, the price is not. And with that,
- 10:55the pile is done. Except the best
- 10:57enhancer I own isn't even on this pile,
- 10:59which brings me to the real one, my
- 11:01glasses. Now, real prescription glasses
- 11:03made for my eyes, my correction, my
- 11:05face, not gamer glasses with zero
- 11:07diopters they sell online. Actual
- 11:09glasses made from an actual optician
- 11:10because I can test powders and stickers
- 11:12all day, but nothing on this desk comes
- 11:14closer to the difference between seeing
- 11:16clearly and not seeing clearly. And
- 11:17that's a 10 out of 10. So, that's the
- 11:19real takeaway. Find the thing that
- 11:20actually holding you back, tired eyes,
- 11:22bad sleep, sweaty arms on the pad,
- 11:23whatever it is for you. That will do
- 11:25more than this entire pile combined. And
- 11:27if you've tested any of this stuff
- 11:28yourself, tell me in the comments what
- 11:30it did for you. Now, the scores are on
- 11:31screen, and that's the video. And if you
- 11:33want to see more about gaming
- 11:34peripherals in general, check out the
- 11:35next video.
