Full transcript
- 0:00I'm spending the next 24 hours with a
- 0:01pro [music] football player. He plays
- 0:03for Manchester United, Bryan Mbeumo.
- 0:07Do you think I can survive today?
- 0:08>> [music]
- 0:08>> Well, I hope so. Let's see.
- 0:10>> Let's see.
- 0:11>> I've played football since I was 5 years
- 0:13old and like [music] 80% of kids, I
- 0:15wanted to be a pro football player.
- 0:18But only 0.05% [music] actually make it
- 0:22pro and I obviously didn't make it.
- 0:26But Bryan, also 26 years old, did make
- 0:30it pro.
- 0:30>> Big breaking transfer news. Manchester
- 0:32United have finally announced the
- 0:34signing of Bryan Mbeumo.
- 0:35>> And that deal is worth 71 million
- 0:38pounds.
- 0:39>> Starting in a small town in France as a
- 0:40kid to today playing in the toughest and
- 0:43most expensive league in the world.
- 0:47>> [screaming]
- 0:49>> But there are hundreds of fake workouts
- 0:51or even fake day in the lives out there
- 0:53claiming to know what a real pro
- 0:54footballer's day looks like. But we will
- 0:56find out what it actually looks like and
- 0:58making this possible to come once
- 1:00because we are one of the few people
- 1:01that actually have such close access to
- 1:03a pro football player for an entire day
- 1:05and we are allowed to record everything.
- 1:07>> This is like a 5-year-old me dream
- 1:09coming true.
- 1:09>> From eating his exact diet with him to
- 1:11using everything in his luxury villa,
- 1:13even joining his football training.
- 1:16Training MMA against his personal
- 1:18special [music] forces coach.
- 1:19>> Looks kind of dangerous.
- 1:20>> Face Bryan in a 1 V 1 football battle.
- 1:23>> What?
- 1:24>> And even join his favorite hobby.
- 1:26>> What a flex. Scoring with yourself.
- 1:28>> Just to find out if my years of working
- 1:29[music] out and football make me fit
- 1:31enough to be a pro football player.
- 1:33>> And the first thing on his schedule is
- 1:34have breakfast
- 1:35>> [music]
- 1:35>> at his house. At least, I think it's his
- 1:37house. We're here at a secret location
- 1:39in Marbella.
- 1:39>> Bryan spends [music] part of his summer
- 1:41here to train and get ready for the
- 1:42upcoming season.
- 1:43>> Bonjour.
- 1:44>> Bonjour.
- 1:44>> They're calling it pre-preseason [music]
- 1:46training and when I entered this
- 1:47beautiful looking villa, he welcomed me
- 1:49right away.
- 1:50>> Nice to meet you, man.
- 1:50>> Nice to meet you, man.
- 1:51>> How are you doing?
- 1:51>> Yeah, I'm good. Thank you.
- 1:52>> Good. Nice to meet you. Excited for
- 1:54today?
- 1:54>> Bryan told me that we will already leave
- 1:55for his football training soon. But
- 1:57first he always eats breakfast.
- 1:59>> What are we eating?
- 1:59>> Toast with the avocado, salmon, and
- 2:02poached eggs.
- 2:03>> A lot of fats, a lot of healthy fats.
- 2:04>> Yeah.
- 2:05>> A little bit of carbs. We got the carbs
- 2:06right here. Energy, carbs right there. A
- 2:08little bit of protein, get some eggs in
- 2:10the salmon. So, basically everything.
- 2:12>> Yeah, everything you need.
- 2:13>> How many calories do you eat a day?
- 2:14>> I don't know.
- 2:16This is the chef This is the chef who
- 2:17knows.
- 2:17>> So, Emil, he needs to eat about the the
- 2:20double of his weight in in proteins,
- 2:23between 100 and 200 g of vegetables, and
- 2:27for the carbs it depends of
- 2:29of the meal.
- 2:30>> Yeah, given you train so much I would
- 2:31expect a lot of carbs, but if you have
- 2:33three meals and you don't eat anything
- 2:36in between?
- 2:36>> Not really. Sometimes I'll have
- 2:39a little bit of snacks.
- 2:40>> Nice.
- 2:41>> So, after breakfast
- 2:42I'm just going to get ready, go and
- 2:44train.
- 2:44>> I've seen the schedule. You like
- 2:46training and you like training hard.
- 2:48>> To be ready for today, huh?
- 2:49>> Let's hope I survive.
- 2:50>> Let's go.
- 2:51>> On to training.
- 2:52Picked up in a Range Rover. So, we
- 2:53stepped into the car and Brian's
- 2:55personal driver is bringing us to the
- 2:56pitch.
- 2:57>> Right now we're going to practice.
- 2:58>> [music]
- 2:58>> Yeah, today is going to be like some
- 3:00activation in the gym, probably
- 3:02technical drills.
- 3:03>> Technical drills?
- 3:04>> Yeah.
- 3:04>> Where are you mainly based? Are you in
- 3:06Manchester?
- 3:06>> Yeah.
- 3:07>> You like that or
- 3:08>> To be honest, I I'm not really going
- 3:10out.
- 3:10>> Are you Yeah, you don't go outside?
- 3:12>> I just chill at home.
- 3:13>> Yeah, you're locked up between home and
- 3:14football.
- 3:14>> Yeah, so just watching a series,
- 3:17watching animes. What's that?
- 3:19>> Animes?
- 3:20>> Yeah.
- 3:20>> Which one?
- 3:20>> At the moment I'm I'm catching up on One
- 3:23Piece.
- 3:23>> Do you think I will survive today? This
- 3:25training.
- 3:26So, I played football since I was five
- 3:28and I still sometimes play in the
- 3:29weekends. But, I actually started to get
- 3:31a little nervous being around actual
- 3:33pros. But, first
- 3:34>> All right, we're getting ready in the
- 3:35gym.
- 3:35>> We are luckily starting somewhere where
- 3:37I feel a little bit more comfortable.
- 3:38>> Do you do like any routines?
- 3:40>> I do a lot of training with body weight
- 3:42and and [music] weights.
- 3:44>> Oh, in the gym.
- 3:44>> How are your pull-ups?
- 3:46>> I don't like this.
- 3:48>> I don't like this.
- 3:48>> Just as I don't really like mobility and
- 3:50activation exercises as you will see.
- 3:52>> Do you ever do this?
- 3:53>> What is it?
- 3:53>> This? No, I do this with not often
- 3:55enough.
- 3:56>> Would like just wake up the the muscles
- 3:57here.
- 3:58>> Blood flow. I do the bike like they do.
- 3:59>> Yeah.
- 3:59>> Do you like train with weights?
- 4:01>> Squats.
- 4:02>> Oh, yeah.
- 4:03>> You do?
- 4:04>> Yeah.
- 4:04>> Cuz you've got you've got good legs.
- 4:06>> But my dad was a weightlifter. That's
- 4:08why we have like good legs.
- 4:09>> Yeah, yeah, look at
- 4:10>> Good genetics. But we actually have like
- 4:12decent ones as well.
- 4:13>> Trying to get
- 4:14bigger legs. What was the big
- 4:16breakthrough for you?
- 4:16>> I think like obviously you have to
- 4:19to work pretty hard. Luck as well. I
- 4:21think like there is always a a part of
- 4:24luck in football to make it. Obviously
- 4:26you need to to want it as well. You
- 4:28know, you need to to give everything for
- 4:29it.
- 4:30>> I'm getting a little bit nervous for the
- 4:31training because they were still
- 4:32doubting if I could actually join. They
- 4:34need to see my level. I'm ready. You
- 4:36feeling ready?
- 4:37>> Feeling ready.
- 4:38>> And we put on our football shoes.
- 4:39>> Look at that.
- 4:40>> That's the quality of my shoes.
- 4:42There's always this thing that goes
- 4:43around where they say football players
- 4:45have new boots every game.
- 4:46>> Not every game, but like every month.
- 4:49>> Cuz when they are new, like they are
- 4:51really tight.
- 4:52>> The football training is guided by a
- 4:53professional team of coaches who train
- 4:55footballers at the highest level. But
- 4:57Brian is still helping me wherever he
- 4:58can for now because later in this
- 5:00training we will actually be opponents.
- 5:05>> Same again, acceleration, five steps.
- 5:06>> Yeah, five [music] steps.
- 5:07>> Yeah.
- 5:07>> Yeah, anyway.
- 5:10>> And break. And again.
- 5:12And now rest.
- 5:13>> You are the trainer.
- 5:14>> Yes.
- 5:14>> Nice to meet you, Stan.
- 5:15>> Great to meet you, Steve.
- 5:17>> How long have you been doing this?
- 5:18>> [music]
- 5:18>> 20 years.
- 5:19>> I can see you you look confident. You
- 5:22look knowledgeable.
- 5:23>> Yeah, I know and I got just strength and
- 5:26conditioning.
- 5:27>> And you got football coach right there.
- 5:28>> Yes. You love what you do?
- 5:29>> Yeah, I like
- 5:30>> I can see it, man. I can see it.
- 5:32>> Thank you.
- 5:32>> Is this different from a training on
- 5:34Manchester United?
- 5:35>> Of course like this is less tactical
- 5:36things.
- 5:37>> Yeah.
- 5:37>> But to be honest like we kind of do the
- 5:39same as kind of similar.
- 5:40>> So you're doing rondos now?
- 5:42>> Yeah, we do rondos now.
- 5:43>> A rondo is a possession drill where
- 5:44players stand in a circle and pass the
- 5:46ball trying to keep it away from the
- 5:47defenders in the middle. And for me,
- 5:49this rondo is the moment where I can
- 5:51prove myself.
- 5:51>> Nervous?
- 5:52>> A little bit. Like, I hope I'm doing all
- 5:54right.
- 5:55The coaches are watching and deciding if
- 5:56I'm good enough to join the rest of the
- 5:58training. Because if I'm not, I would
- 5:59not just interrupt their training
- 6:00[music] too much, but I can also not
- 6:02prove myself to Brian and ask him if he
- 6:04wants to sign the contract that I
- 6:05brought.
- 6:06>> This is so small. It's so crazy.
- 6:07>> And already after my first touch with
- 6:09the ball,
- 6:09>> Oh, what the
- 6:10>> I fail and have to go into the middle.
- 6:14>> [singing]
- 6:15>> And also being in the middle trying to
- 6:17stop the passes from the pros seems to
- 6:19be nearly impossible. And genuinely for
- 6:21a moment, I was afraid that we would
- 6:22miss out on experiencing a pro football
- 6:24training like no one before.
- 6:29>> Nice. Good pressing.
- 6:35Oh, what the
- 6:39Okay. Okay. Okay.
- 6:40>> [laughter]
- 6:42>> How did I do? [music]
- 6:43>> Quite good, to be honest.
- 6:44>> Yeah. Yeah.
- 6:44>> So, the coaches are allowing me to join
- 6:46the full training.
- 6:47>> Yes, you can join the full training.
- 6:47>> Wow.
- 6:48>> Yeah, you can join.
- 6:49>> This is like a 5-year-old me dream
- 6:51coming true. Normally, no one is allowed
- 6:53to join pro football players in their
- 6:55training, but today I am.
- 6:56>> first of three drills before we play a
- 6:58match is focused on accuracy. And of
- 7:00course, Brian
- 7:03easily does it.
- 7:04>> Hey, he finishes it.
- 7:05>> And right away, it's my turn.
- 7:10>> Oh, one touch. Sorry.
- 7:11>> It's okay.
- 7:12>> No.
- 7:12>> Oh.
- 7:13>> One touch.
- 7:14>> Lucky.
- 7:14>> Like Brian, I am right-footed, which
- 7:16doesn't really help on this side of the
- 7:18field, but that can't be an excuse at
- 7:19this level.
- 7:20>> I have to score with left.
- 7:22I'm not left-footed, so I'm going to try
- 7:23to get it to my right in one touch. Woo,
- 7:25nervous.
- 7:26>> Brian once again proves his perfect
- 7:28accuracy.
- 7:30>> Woo.
- 7:31>> While I am improving.
- 7:36>> No.
- 7:38>> Yeah.
- 7:38>> [laughter]
- 7:42>> YES. [screaming]
- 7:43WOO.
- 7:45LET'S GO!
- 7:47>> [laughter]
- 7:48>> NEXT DRILL IS FOCUSED ON COORDINATION.
- 7:50AGAIN, passing the ball, but then
- 7:51turning, [music] getting it back from
- 7:52the other side, and score.
- 7:54>> Woah, okay. It's crazy stuff.
- 7:55>> And once again, Brian does it first try.
- 8:04Well, I hit the post.
- 8:06>> You hit the post?
- 8:08>> I'm constantly being watched by the
- 8:09coaches.
- 8:14>> Lucky, lucky, lucky. You got this, you
- 8:15got this.
- 8:16>> Close, but not not there yet. This is
- 8:18not easy.
- 8:18>> This looks like it's made up, but just
- 8:20as before,
- 8:24I score on MY THIRD ATTEMPT.
- 8:28BUT FOR THE THIRD AND LAST DRILL, THE
- 8:30coaches don't change the exercise.
- 8:31[music] They only add one piece of
- 8:33information. It is now a battle. And
- 8:35this definitely showed the winner
- 8:36mentality of everyone on this field.
- 8:39>> Always win.
- 8:40>> The side that scores three goals first
- 8:42wins.
- 8:47>> [laughter]
- 9:03>> Come on, son.
- 9:04YOU GOT IT?
- 9:05YES! [screaming]
- 9:07COME ON!
- 9:09WE WON? LET'S GO!
- 9:11LET'S GO!
- 9:12>> How did I do?
- 9:13>> Very good, to be honest.
- 9:14>> Yeah?
- 9:14>> Very good.
- 9:15>> Yeah?
- 9:15>> Scored three goals.
- 9:16>> Yeah?
- 9:17>> Amazing. It's not easy, I swear.
- 9:19>> You come up with these drills?
- 9:20>> Yeah. The team. We are team.
- 9:22>> Yeah, good, good, good. I like it, I
- 9:23like it. Hard work.
- 9:24>> So, before we go to the final part of
- 9:25this training, where it's going to be my
- 9:27team against Brian's team, I found out
- 9:29how much pro football players actually
- 9:30drink.
- 9:31>> There's electrolytes in there. My
- 9:32electrolytes, but that's it. Like these
- 9:33are gel, yeah.
- 9:35You use these?
- 9:36>> Uh, sometimes, yeah.
- 9:36>> Yeah?
- 9:37>> Especially um before games. So, I use a
- 9:39gel, I use a carbohydrate.
- 9:42>> Mhm.
- 9:42>> Yeah, this has this has uh electrolytes
- 9:44and carbs.
- 9:45>> Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:45>> Yeah, that's what I'm using the day
- 9:46before the game as well.
- 9:48>> Make it going. They They're already
- 9:49there again.
- 9:50>> Yeah, yeah.
- 9:50>> I got to be fast.
- 9:51>> Need to be fast.
- 9:53>> Go Brownie
- 9:54>> [music]
- 9:54>> at Myprotein for the biggest discount.
- 9:55Best high protein snacks and
- 9:56supplements.
- 9:56>> The last part of the training is like a
- 9:58match. Two teams, but only one goal in
- 10:01the middle. Goals can be scored from
- 10:02both sides. As soon as a team completes
- 10:05seven passes
- 10:06>> After the seven passes, you're free.
- 10:08>> Okay. I'm I'm against Brian now. Brian
- 10:10is the opponent now.
- 10:13>> The pace in this open field is even
- 10:15higher than before.
- 10:17>> This is tough.
- 10:18>> But, I do feel like I've adapted a
- 10:19little bit to their speed.
- 10:25Of course, this one training won't turn
- 10:27me into a pro football player right
- 10:28away, but I feel like this one training
- 10:30improved my focus so much because there
- 10:31is so much pressure on every decision
- 10:33being surrounded by so many talented
- 10:35football players.
- 10:38>> That's a goal. I did something. Yes.
- 10:43>> [screaming]
- 10:45>> And just when I thought we would score
- 10:47another goal.
- 10:53>> This is the best goalkeeper I've ever
- 10:55seen in real life. Crazy.
- 10:56>> Almost as crazy as the temperature here
- 10:57because running in this Spanish heat is
- 10:59no joke. And not just for me.
- 11:02Being surrounded by all these talented
- 11:03players is honestly insane. And for a
- 11:05moment, I forgot that we were recording
- 11:07a video and I was just ENJOYING [music]
- 11:08PLAYING FOOTBALL.
- 11:13>> THAT'S A GOOD SHOT, BRO.
- 11:13>> AND EVEN THOUGH THIS FELT LIKE [music]
- 11:14THE highlight of the day
- 11:16the next things on his to-do list are
- 11:18even more intense and more exclusive.
- 11:20>> Here we go. That was an intense
- 11:21training.
- 11:22>> Yeah.
- 11:22>> Also because of the heat.
- 11:23>> As well, yeah.
- 11:24>> What are we doing now?
- 11:25>> You will see.
- 11:26>> Okay.
- 11:27How far is the drive?
- 11:28>> Six six seven minutes.
- 11:29>> Six seven minutes?
- 11:30>> Yeah.
- 11:30>> That's not far.
- 11:31>> No.
- 11:32>> But, even if traveling takes long, Brian
- 11:34doesn't mind because he's enjoying his
- 11:35anime.
- 11:36>> And I also don't mind traveling
- 11:37especially since I got my Revolut card,
- 11:39which is the sponsor of today. You don't
- 11:41have to get a physical card, but hey, I
- 11:42could even customize it with this epic
- 11:44bicep emoji. But with Revolut, I can
- 11:46easily pay in local currency, exchange
- 11:48money directly inside the app, and keep
- 11:50everything in one place while traveling.
- 11:52helps me to only focus on making videos
- 11:54and just enjoying it instead of wasting
- 11:56time on annoying things like is my
- 11:58credit card going to work here?
- 11:59>> And if you sign up to Revolut using this
- 12:00QR code on the screen or the link in the
- 12:02description or pinned comment, you get
- 12:0440 bucks if you use your card for the
- 12:05first time.
- 12:06>> Huge shoutout to Revolut for making this
- 12:07video possible and making me survive
- 12:09travel. But unfortunately, Revolut can't
- 12:10help me survive the next thing on
- 12:12Brian's to-do list.
- 12:12>> This is the most complete gym I've ever
- 12:15seen in my life. You can do everything
- 12:17here.
- 12:17>> Okay, I see some insane cars. What do
- 12:19you drive? [music]
- 12:20>> Me, uh Aston Martin.
- 12:22>> Aston Martin, how is it?
- 12:23>> Yeah, it's really good.
- 12:24>> And Brian was definitely not joking.
- 12:26This gym is insane.
- 12:27>> Wow, what the How big is this?
- 12:30This is insane. They have everything.
- 12:32>> But the only thing in here that we need
- 12:34is
- 12:34>> This is it?
- 12:35>> Yeah.
- 12:35>> The octagon.
- 12:36>> Octagon.
- 12:37>> This is the boss?
- 12:38>> What is your name?
- 12:39>> Uh David. I'm a former crisis negotiator
- 12:42in special forces.
- 12:43>> Special forces?
- 12:44>> Yeah, in GIGN. I was 12 years in the
- 12:47special forces.
- 12:48>> Wow.
- 12:49>> And I help Brian to have a strong mind.
- 12:52>> The first thing they do
- 12:53>> Oh, this is interesting.
- 12:54>> is the complete opposite of what I
- 12:56thought they would do.
- 13:04>> [music]
- 13:20>> I personally never done MMA training.
- 13:22>> But this way of training to shield the
- 13:23ball just seems genius.
- 13:25>> Very interesting. I did not expect this
- 13:27to be on the schedule today.
- 13:28>> I never connected these sports together.
- 13:30Like look at this.
- 13:35It just makes so much sense. [music]
- 13:37>> And it got a lot more intense as well.
- 13:42>> Look, it looks physical. Looks kind of
- 13:44dangerous.
- 13:44>> Because they now [music] got rid of the
- 13:45ball to get into some even more physical
- 13:47training.
- 13:48>> Is this for like being open and getting
- 13:51used to physicality?
- 13:52>> Should be
- 13:54connected to the team
- 13:56and balance it because you need to
- 13:59connect [music] it but not really
- 14:02actually smooth and strong in the same
- 14:04time.
- 14:05>> If you play football on the field, you
- 14:06have some physicality [music] but here
- 14:08you're really focused on something so
- 14:10specific. It looks like a unique
- 14:11training for a football player.
- 14:13>> Yeah, well, I've done some like boxing
- 14:14but like this one is the first one like
- 14:16MMA and you know contact physicality.
- 14:19>> Very cool, yeah.
- 14:19>> And I actually was allowed to try this.
- 14:21>> You need to just protect the ball. Let's
- 14:23go.
- 14:23>> So
- 14:30>> Touch the ball. Touch the ball. Touch
- 14:31the ball.
- 14:32Yeah.
- 14:33Good. If you don't touch the ball, he
- 14:35can take it.
- 14:36Yes. Yes.
- 14:39Push me. Push me.
- 14:40>> Okay.
- 14:41>> Ah, to create space. Yeah.
- 14:43He was doing perfectly. It looked easy.
- 14:45>> to to keep his mind in the ball and to
- 14:48manage
- 14:49>> Yeah.
- 14:50>> Let's go.
- 14:51>> On TV you might think this looks easy
- 14:53when football players shoot the ball but
- 14:54this was honestly really hard.
- 14:56>> and keep the ball. Okay, that's right.
- 15:01>> Wow.
- 15:02That is intense.
- 15:04He made it look easy.
- 15:05>> Okay, I will let him continue with the
- 15:06session. Like he said, it's really about
- 15:08focusing mentally so I don't want to be
- 15:10the guy who interrupts it with the
- 15:11camera right now.
- 15:13>> So while Brian is working with the
- 15:15special forces coach, I got to know
- 15:16someone from the team a little better.
- 15:18>> It's good to have a driver just drive
- 15:20you around. If he would have to drive
- 15:21himself, I mean, he's walking already a
- 15:23bit difficult. So, you enjoying the job?
- 15:24>> Yes,
- 15:25Brian is a very good uh man.
- 15:27>> Brian's a good man?
- 15:28>> Very good man.
- 15:29>> Everyone keeps saying that, and that's
- 15:30what I've experienced. Brian is such a
- 15:32nice dude. Is this like what you do? You
- 15:33drive footballers around or mainly
- 15:34Brian?
- 15:35>> This is summer only for Brian.
- 15:37>> Only Brian. Talking about Brian, so how
- 15:39was that? That was good?
- 15:41>> I'm good, but tired, man.
- 15:43>> Tired?
- 15:43>> Yeah.
- 15:44>> You haven't had a lot of food yet, in my
- 15:45opinion.
- 15:46>> Yeah. We're going to go back home and uh
- 15:48have some some food.
- 15:49>> You're hungry?
- 15:50>> Oh, yeah.
- 15:50>> Luckily, while we are driving back,
- 15:52Brian's private chef is already
- 15:53preparing food at the villa.
- 15:55>> I have few people around me to to help
- 15:57me. I like doing things about myself,
- 15:59but obviously like there is some uh
- 16:01tasks like people are better than me to
- 16:03do, so
- 16:04>> I can see the difference. You're getting
- 16:05a little tired, and now you need some
- 16:07energy again, but you're excited for the
- 16:08rest of the day?
- 16:09>> Yeah, of course. Always.
- 16:10>> So, football-wise, what is your biggest
- 16:12goal?
- 16:12>> Would love to win the Premier League one
- 16:14day as well.
- 16:15>> Next year?
- 16:16>> Uh
- 16:16who knows?
- 16:17>> Next year?
- 16:18>> At least like
- 16:20doing as good as this year
- 16:22in the league and then competing in the
- 16:24Champions League.
- 16:25>> Is there still a player you want to play
- 16:27with?
- 16:28Or against? Or score on?
- 16:30>> I would say Messi.
- 16:31>> Messi?
- 16:32>> Yeah, Messi, cuz I already played
- 16:33against Ronaldo, and I think for me is
- 16:36like
- 16:36two best footballers in in the world.
- 16:38>> So, with Danny driving us to the villa,
- 16:40making sure lunch is ready when we
- 16:41arrive, and even picking a band-aid for
- 16:43Brian's blisters from the MMA training.
- 16:45You have a really good team.
- 16:46>> I have a good team.
- 16:47>> We entered a private gated community to
- 16:49get into the villa again.
- 16:53I'm honestly used to eating a lot more
- 16:55during the day, so I'm happy it's time
- 16:56to eat again.
- 16:57>> It's time to refill my friend.
- 16:58>> This was literally here when we arrived.
- 17:00It was just ready for you?
- 17:01>> Yeah.
- 17:01>> Do you choose your own meals or did
- 17:03>> No, I let him choose. I eat everything
- 17:05anyway, so
- 17:06>> Is this lunch? Is it all of it?
- 17:07>> No, this is just a starter.
- 17:08>> Do you eat dessert?
- 17:09>> Only fruits.
- 17:10>> Only fruits?
- 17:11>> Yeah.
- 17:11>> No chocolate mousse?
- 17:13>> Not now.
- 17:14>> Not now?
- 17:14>> No, yeah.
- 17:15>> Fruits are underrated. Talking about
- 17:17something that's really good. This is
- 17:19really good. Not super high protein yet,
- 17:21but the main course is [music]
- 17:22definitely making up for it. Mashed
- 17:23sweet potatoes, vegetables, and high
- 17:25protein tuna. This is my type of meal.
- 17:27This is what I'm talking about. You
- 17:28always have a chef?
- 17:29>> Yeah.
- 17:29>> Saves time. [snorts]
- 17:30>> That's actually why
- 17:31I have a chef. I was too
- 17:33>> [music]
- 17:33>> focused on my video games.
- 17:35>> I thought you were going to say
- 17:35football, but too focused on the video
- 17:37game.
- 17:37>> And he actually has his own gaming setup
- 17:39that he can bring everywhere in the
- 17:40world. And I will actually play against
- 17:42him today.
- 17:43>> What's next on your schedule?
- 17:44>> So, next on my schedule
- 17:46is recovery.
- 17:47>> Sounds very important for an athlete.
- 17:48>> I'll make a ice bath in the in the bath.
- 17:51>> We're going to make an ice bath?
- 17:52>> Yeah.
- 17:52>> I love an ice bath. Almost as much as I
- 17:54love dessert.
- 17:55>> It's a nectarine for the main course in
- 17:57the oven with just a little bit of honey
- 17:59and rosemary. That's all.
- 18:00>> Sounds perfect. So far, the total
- 18:02calories haven't been crazy for the
- 18:04amount of training you do. When the
- 18:05season starts, do you need to be lower
- 18:08in weight?
- 18:08>> When you have a food break, obviously
- 18:10you
- 18:11you take a bit less of what you're
- 18:13eating, but now of course now you have
- 18:15to
- 18:15to get back to shape. So, now I'm 81 and
- 18:1882. Just have to
- 18:20to lose a little bit.
- 18:21>> 79 to 80 is where you're going?
- 18:22>> Yeah.
- 18:23>> That can be done in 3-4 weeks. Minimal
- 18:25deficit. Three course lunch is something
- 18:27I didn't expect.
- 18:29But I'm happy. Last bite.
- 18:30>> So, now that we have some energy again,
- 18:31it's time to recover.
- 18:33>> Let's go. One of the best parts of this
- 18:36house.
- 18:36>> One of the best parts of this house?
- 18:38>> Brian's physio already prepared
- 18:39everything for the treatment, including
- 18:41some fancy electric gloves.
- 18:43>> So, now we start with the the
- 18:45>> hammam.
- 18:45>> A hammam is a traditional steam bath
- 18:47that helps [music] to calm the body and
- 18:48relax the muscles.
- 18:49>> So, part one of the recovery session.
- 18:51>> Ooh.
- 18:52>> [music]
- 18:52>> Oh my goodness.
- 18:53Let's go.
- 18:54>> Let's go.
- 18:54>> Brian says we're staying in here for 10
- 18:56minutes, which sounds crazy to me
- 18:58because
- 18:58>> It is hot in here.
- 19:00>> It's really really hot.
- 19:01>> How hot is it in here? Do you know?
- 19:03>> It's like 80.
- 19:055 minutes.
- 19:06>> Yeah.
- 19:07Why are you doing this?
- 19:08>> Because after I'm going to go
- 19:10ice bath.
- 19:11>> Ah.
- 19:11>> So, I like the transition of hot and
- 19:13cold. [music]
- 19:13>> All right. Something to look forward to.
- 19:15Something cold.
- 19:16>> And I'm not going to lie.
- 19:17>> Finished. That's what I
- 19:18>> Yeah. This was one of the hottest things
- 19:20I've ever experienced.
- 19:22>> I was about to tap out. I thought these
- 19:24guys are crazy, but luckily they thought
- 19:26it was hot too. Everything you're seeing
- 19:27is
- 19:29sweat.
- 19:29>> You can put on the recovery. It's
- 19:30important.
- 19:31>> Sweat out all the toxins.
- 19:32>> I am ready for the ice bath, for which
- 19:34Brian even lets me go into his room.
- 19:35>> You made the ice bath. More than a
- 19:37driver. You help with everything.
- 19:39>> Thank you.
- 19:39>> His treatment is amazing.
- 19:40>> Almost as amazing as the ice bath feels
- 19:42after the insane heat.
- 19:43>> This and the lodge together is preparing
- 19:46me for the biggest challenge of the day.
- 19:49>> And I'm not talking about our gaming
- 19:50battle, but our challenge on the field.
- 19:52>> Crazy. That is cold.
- 19:54>> So after also Brian cooled off and our
- 19:56bodies are fully recovered,
- 19:57>> It feels so good. Like so, so good.
- 19:59>> It's time for his final treatment.
- 20:01>> So I'm connecting
- 20:03uh the machine with the frequencies
- 20:05to the gloves. And now with the gloves,
- 20:07I can work and doing all my manual
- 20:09stuff. I protect more or less myself
- 20:12that the frequency not going into my
- 20:14body through the gloves.
- 20:16So that the frequencies all going to
- 20:18Brian.
- 20:20>> Ah.
- 20:21>> I have honestly never seen a treatment
- 20:22like this. And because Brian's physio is
- 20:24all the way here from Germany, he gets
- 20:25the full 2-hour treatment right now.
- 20:28>> Do most football players do this or is
- 20:29he one [music] of the few?
- 20:30>> He's one of the few.
- 20:31>> One of the few. Oh. You got an edge.
- 20:35>> But let's see if I have an edge playing
- 20:37FIFA against him, because my chances of
- 20:39winning a 1v1 against a pro footballer
- 20:40on a real pitch are not that high.
- 20:42>> What's your [music] favorite game by
- 20:44far?
- 20:44>> I think it would be GTA.
- 20:46>> GTA?
- 20:46>> Yeah.
- 20:46>> So you're going for GTA 6? [music]
- 20:48>> Ah, come on, man. Watch.
- 20:50>> You already pre-ordered [laughter]
- 20:51GTA 6?
- 20:52>> I'm just waiting now. The game [music]
- 20:54will make myself stay at home every
- 20:56single day.
- 20:57>> After training. After training.
- 20:59>> After training.
- 20:59>> After training.
- 21:00>> But GTA 6 is not out yet, so of course
- 21:02we play FIFA.
- 21:04>> uh United.
- 21:04>> One of the The flexes ever, playing
- 21:06[music]
- 21:06>> yourself.
- 21:07>> First time I've been on FIFA, I was so
- 21:09happy.
- 21:10>> Yeah, I was like 19, I think.
- 21:11>> So, you've been on FIFA for 7 years
- 21:13already.
- 21:14>> Yeah. So, who you want to take?
- 21:15>> I'll play PC.
- 21:16>> You good at FIFA?
- 21:18>> I am the best.
- 21:19>> Yeah?
- 21:19>> No.
- 21:21>> [laughter]
- 21:21>> I don't really have time to game, so I
- 21:22don't game. And literally within the
- 21:24first few seconds of the game
- 21:26No!
- 21:27Oh!
- 21:28Did you almost score?
- 21:29>> [laughter]
- 21:31>> Almost scored with yourself.
- 21:33>> Meanwhile, this is what I'm doing.
- 21:34>> What?
- 21:35>> Nervous?
- 21:35>> I'm nervous, yeah.
- 21:36>> Never played FIFA before?
- 21:37>> It's been long, long time, man. No.
- 21:41No.
- 21:43No!
- 21:44>> What a flex, scoring with yourself.
- 21:47Are you happy with your score on FIFA?
- 21:48>> Uh yeah, it's actually good. Hopefully
- 21:50next season higher, but
- 21:51>> But from this moment
- 21:54>> [laughter]
- 21:55>> He just keeps scoring with himself. Do
- 21:57you play the ball to yourself?
- 21:58>> Yes.
- 21:58>> On purpose?
- 21:59>> Yes.
- 22:00>> I would do the same.
- 22:01>> How do
- 22:02No!
- 22:04>> [laughter]
- 22:05>> And I am doing the exact opposite.
- 22:07>> Oh, that's not great.
- 22:10Oh.
- 22:14Look at [music] that.
- 22:16Boom.
- 22:18Happy with that.
- 22:18>> I really hope I do better in the final
- 22:20challenge Brian has for me, because this
- 22:22game just ended in
- 22:23>> 6-1?
- 22:24>> It's fair, yeah.
- 22:24>> 6-1? Let's see if I'm a little bit
- 22:26better in real life.
- 22:28>> Yeah.
- 22:28>> Brian prepared three football challenges
- 22:30for me. What he doesn't know is that I
- 22:31also got something prepared for him.
- 22:33>> So, we're going to start with the
- 22:34classic second one is the crossbar.
- 22:36>> We both have to shoot from this line
- 22:38right here, and whoever hits the
- 22:39crossbar first wins the first challenge.
- 22:42>> Rock, paper, scissors, shoot.
- 22:44>> I lost.
- 22:45>> So, you start.
- 22:45>> That is not a good start to winning the
- 22:47challenges.
- 22:47>> Ah, okay.
- 22:49No! Way too soft. [music]
- 22:51Eh.
- 22:52Brian, it's my go, yeah?
- 22:55Oh.
- 22:56>> Oh, we did the same. Yes.
- 23:00>> Oh.
- 23:00>> No!
- 23:03No! No!
- 23:05Oh, so fast. Second try.
- 23:08>> So, Brian Nacho takes the lead and
- 23:10already has a match point.
- 23:11>> The next is two touch.
- 23:13>> Two touch?
- 23:13>> So, we are keeping the ball up yeah with
- 23:15only two touch. The first to three
- 23:17mistakes lose.
- 23:18>> Okay, I'm tense. [snorts] Here we go.
- 23:25But is that yeah?
- 23:27Oh, but
- 23:27>> So, one mistake for me.
- 23:28>> I'm Is it a mistake for you?
- 23:29>> Yeah.
- 23:30>> Okay.
- 23:31>> Comment down below how nervous you would
- 23:32be here and which athlete we also have
- 23:34to spend 24 hours with. But I was
- 23:36definitely feeling the pressure of a pro
- 23:37watching.
- 23:40No.
- 23:40>> Yes. 1-1.
- 23:46>> Going to play IT HARD.
- 23:48NO. THAT IS TOO THAT'S too hard. That's
- 23:50a mistake on me.
- 23:51>> pressure was only rising because if I
- 23:52make another mistake now, Brian Nacho
- 23:54wins this challenge but the entire
- 23:56battle.
- 24:03>> Ah, okay. [laughter] Was that good?
- 24:04>> I'm a player. 2-2.
- 24:05>> Okay.
- 24:06All right. Okay.
- 24:18Ah. Yeah, is that Is that too hard?
- 24:21>> No, it's my mistake. I have to deal with
- 24:23>> Oh, okay. Oh, my
- 24:25>> I won. One more challenge. The aim is to
- 24:27to finish on the corners.
- 24:29>> In the corners?
- 24:30>> Yes.
- 24:30>> So, whoever scores in both corners first
- 24:32wins this challenge and the entire
- 24:34battle.
- 24:35>> It's going to be crazy.
- 24:36>> Brian goes first and right away
- 24:40gets scary close.
- 24:41>> Look at that.
- 24:42>> I'm still alive.
- 24:43>> But also I
- 24:46get pretty close.
- 24:49>> That was so close.
- 24:50So close.
- 24:52Control.
- 24:53Got it.
- 24:55Oh, so close.
- 24:56>> Every time I miss.
- 24:59>> Unlucky.
- 24:59>> I feel like it's done for me.
- 25:04Oh.
- 25:05>> Yeah, it was in. That was beautiful.
- 25:07Yeah, it was in. It was in.
- 25:09>> Let's go, good honor.
- 25:10>> Okay, so it's now my TURN TO SCORE.
- 25:14>> [music]
- 25:15>> YES! [screaming]
- 25:21>> OH MY DAY.
- 25:22>> CRAZY, BRO.
- 25:23>> Oh my day.
- 25:24>> One one.
- 25:24>> So now for Brian, it's only the right
- 25:26and for me only the left corner
- 25:28remaining.
- 25:32Brian started this challenge. So if I
- 25:34now make it, I actually win.
- 25:41No.
- 25:41>> Oh, unlucky.
- 25:50>> Oh.
- 25:51What? What?
- 25:53>> Remember what I said about actually
- 25:55using the chances given to you? Well,
- 25:56Brian is the pro after all.
- 25:59>> I started so you have one chance.
- 26:00>> One chance left.
- 26:02>> This is literally my last chance to
- 26:04avoid losing.
- 26:07Yes.
- 26:15No.
- 26:17But if I am honest, losing a football
- 26:18chance against a pro football player
- 26:20that has been working so hard from such
- 26:22a young age, gave everything and made so
- 26:24many sacrifices, and was actually an
- 26:26extremely nice guy, showing us around
- 26:28the entire day and letting us experience
- 26:30literally everything is probably not
- 26:31something to be ashamed of.
- 26:33>> Well done.
- 26:33>> You won.
- 26:34>> Deserved.
- 26:35>> Thank you.
- 26:36>> What's the gift I got for you for you?
- 26:37>> Right.
- 26:38>> Oh, look at that. The Manchester United
- 26:40jersey.
- 26:41>> Cuz you actually did very well today.
- 26:43Really happy with the with the work.
- 26:45Yes.
- 26:46>> So happy. Thank you so much. Let me Let
- 26:48me try this on.
- 26:49>> Getting this jersey is so epic, but I
- 26:50still have something for Brian.
- 26:52>> Uh, actually, not over here. I'm already
- 26:54wearing a jersey. Got a contract right
- 26:55here to be [music]
- 26:57your team player, is that right?
- 26:59>> Yeah, I don't think I can sign this.
- 27:01>> No, you can't sign it?
- 27:01>> No, I can't sign this one. You did so
- 27:03great, but still need improvement.
- 27:06>> bit of work.
- 27:06>> Yeah.
- 27:07>> Okay. Um, well, let us know who we
- 27:08should spend 24 hours with next, and
- 27:10thank you so [music] much, man.
- 27:12>> This is amazing. Also, go check out
- 27:14Brian's socials.
