  1. 0:00We all want to be more productive with
  2. 0:01Claude using Claude's skills. But,
  3. 0:03there's over 85,000 skills and unlike
  4. 0:06the Apple App Store where you can search
  5. 0:07the top apps in the store, Claude skills
  6. 0:10doesn't have that feature yet. Wait a
  7. 0:12second. What's this? Yes, they do. I
  8. 0:15found the official Claude skills
  9. 0:18leaderboard that has ranked every single
  10. 0:20Claude skill by number of installs. And
  11. 0:23in this video, we are going to go from
  12. 0:25the 12th most installed skill at 560,000
  13. 0:29installs all the way to number one at
  14. 0:312.9 million installs. So, you can see
  15. 0:34what they're about, what other people
  16. 0:36are cooking up, and install them for
  17. 0:37yourself to 10x your Claude output.
  18. 0:40Starting with skill number 12. Now,
  19. 0:42number 12 is an interesting one. It's
  20. 0:44called Lark Doc and it has 560,000
  21. 0:48installs and it's official by Lark, also
  22. 0:52known as Feishu. Now, what is Lark or
  23. 0:55Feishu? Well, it is a workplace suite
  24. 0:57that is huge across Asia. Think Google
  25. 0:59Docs, Slack, and Zoom all rolled into
  26. 1:02one. And this is the official Feishu
  27. 1:04skill that lets Claude read and write
  28. 1:07Lark documents directly. So, we're not
  29. 1:09going to spend too much time here. If
  30. 1:10you want to go and check it out, you can
  31. 1:12go and click on Lark Doc and try that
  32. 1:14for yourself if you are in Asia.
  33. 1:16Otherwise, we're going to stay in the
  34. 1:17western world and go to the 11th most
  35. 1:20installed skill at 567,500
  36. 1:23installs by a guy called Matt Pocock.
  37. 1:26Now, Matt Pocock, you can see is the
  38. 1:28author of a lot of these skills inside
  39. 1:31the top 12. And this is the first one of
  40. 1:34the bunch called Triage. And what does
  41. 1:37Triage do? Well, Triage dumps a messy
  42. 1:39pile of bug reports and to-do's on
  43. 1:42Claude. And this skill sorts it like an
  44. 1:44ER nurse. What is critical, what is
  45. 1:47quick, what can wait, and what order to
  46. 1:49tackle it all in. It prioritizes your
  47. 1:52task for you. So, you start with the
  48. 1:54thing that matters the most, not the
  49. 1:55thing that reaches your Claude first.
  50. 1:57So, this is the official GitHub for the
  51. 2:00triage skill by Matt Pocock. You can see
  52. 2:02down here is two category roles. They're
  53. 2:04going to label something as a bug,
  54. 2:06something being broken, or something
  55. 2:08that is just an enhancement and needs a
  56. 2:10new feature or an improvement, which is
  57. 2:12of course less urgent. You can come and
  58. 2:14read this all for yourself, including
  59. 2:16the five-step formula of how they triage
  60. 2:19a specific issue or PR. And if you are a
  61. 2:21developer, you can simply install the
  62. 2:23skill by asking your Claude code to
  63. 2:25please install the skill with a link to
  64. 2:28Matt Pocock's triage skill. Now, coming
  65. 2:31in just above Matt Pocock's skill is
  66. 2:34another skill for Matt Pocock with 2,000
  67. 2:37more installs. This is called handoff,
  68. 2:41which packages context to pass between
  69. 2:43work sessions with your Claude code.
  70. 2:46Meaning, your AI chats have a memory
  71. 2:48limit, or you may need to reset your
  72. 2:50chat due to context rot or other
  73. 2:52technical reasons, including context
  74. 2:54rot, which is long sessions becoming
  75. 2:56forgetful. This handoff skill packs up
  76. 2:59everything that matters from that
  77. 3:00conversation with that Claude agent into
  78. 3:03a package that you can send your new
  79. 3:06agent, so it has all the relevant key
  80. 3:08points of what you've been talking to
  81. 3:09that agent about without that context
  82. 3:12rot. They say it's like a shift change
  83. 3:14at a hospital. It's also like talking to
  84. 3:15customer service on the phone and they
  85. 3:16pass you off to the next person you have
  86. 3:18to repeat all your info again. This will
  87. 3:20stop that. So, once again, to install
  88. 3:22any of these skills, including this one,
  89. 3:23you literally ask your Claude code
  90. 3:25please install this skill. I've got a
  91. 3:26link to the handoff skill, and you hit
  92. 3:28enter. And then Claude will go and grab
  93. 3:31all the relevant skill files and install
  94. 3:33them into our skills folder on our local
  95. 3:35desktop, so we can use them at any time.
  96. 3:37And you can see that's fully installed,
  97. 3:39and the code to type, or the hot key to
  98. 3:42press, is {forward-slash} handoff. So,
  99. 3:45if I go to this old chat where I was
  100. 3:47bringing together all of Tony Robbins'
  101. 3:49key concepts inside Personal Power II,
  102. 3:52which is a program by Tony Robbins out
  103. 3:54of the late '80s, I believe. And I type
  104. 3:56{forward slash} hand off and send that.
  105. 3:59You can see that Claude will now go
  106. 4:01scrape the main components of this chat,
  107. 4:04and Claude will come back with this hand
  108. 4:07off MD file. You can see it is quite
  109. 4:09long, but it is light in terms of data
  110. 4:12size. You can see here it says date, the
  111. 4:15date that I was actually doing it,
  112. 4:16previous session. Benji explored the
  113. 4:18Compass Wiki for personal power two
  114. 4:20content and deep dives Tony Robbins full
  115. 4:21body of work and produced a gap analysis
  116. 4:24of concepts yet ingested by my personal
  117. 4:27Wiki. Where things stand, exactly what
  118. 4:29I've been asking it to do, and the key
  119. 4:30parts moving forward. So, if I was to
  120. 4:33start a new session now, all I would
  121. 4:35have to do is paste it that hand off
  122. 4:38file, and it would know exactly where to
  123. 4:40pick up from without the lag and the
  124. 4:41context rot. Which takes us inside the
  125. 4:44top 10 to number nine. At 606,000
  126. 4:48installs, once again the trifecta from
  127. 4:51Matt Pocock. And this one is a weird one
  128. 4:54because it's kind of a meta skill. It is
  129. 4:56set up Matt Pocock skills skill, which
  130. 4:59is basically all of Matt Pocock skills.
  131. 5:01As you saw, there was like seven of them
  132. 5:03in the top 12, or six of them in the top
  133. 5:0412. You can install them all at once by
  134. 5:08using this skill. They call it the
  135. 5:09bundle installer, which I'm not going to
  136. 5:11go through with you here because we are
  137. 5:13going to be talking about them
  138. 5:14individually. Taking us to number eight.
  139. 5:17At 625,000
  140. 5:19200 installs, this is the official
  141. 5:22Vercel Labs skill, which is Vercel React
  142. 5:26Best Practices. Now, if you don't know
  143. 5:28what that means, React and Next.js are
  144. 5:31the LEGO kits that most modern websites
  145. 5:33are built with. And this skill will
  146. 5:34preload their official
  147. 5:36how-to-build-it-right rulebook. So,
  148. 5:39Claude code can follow the official
  149. 5:41rulebook and follow the patterns that
  150. 5:42the pros are using instead of a
  151. 5:44five-year-old tutorial habits that a
  152. 5:46random developer uses. It basically
  153. 5:48takes random code and upgrades it to
  154. 5:50follow the official rulebook of best
  155. 5:53practices, which is excellent if you're
  156. 5:55a developer. If you're not, we're going
  157. 5:56to move on to Vercel Labs' next skill,
  158. 5:59which is an agent browser with a way
  159. 6:01more general audience because this, as
  160. 6:05you can see, gives your agent a browser
  161. 6:08that it can drive, which means your
  162. 6:10Claude code will now have its own web
  163. 6:11browser. It can open pages, click
  164. 6:13buttons, fill in forms, and read what is
  165. 6:15on your screen. It upgrades it from a
  166. 6:18write me the code to go do this on the
  167. 6:20web for me, testing your site, checking
  168. 6:22a flow, or filing a dashboard, or
  169. 6:24ordering food from Uber Eats. This is
  170. 6:26the official GitHub from Vercel Labs'
  171. 6:29agent browser, and you can see it has
  172. 6:31over 40,000
  173. 6:32stars. And to install it, you can either
  174. 6:35copy the link like I've shown you a
  175. 6:36couple times here, or come down and copy
  176. 6:39the Homebrew Mac install right here. So,
  177. 6:41once you install the agent browser, you
  178. 6:43go {forward slash} agent browser, and
  179. 6:45then say, "Please buy everything I've
  180. 6:50ever bought from Amazon
  181. 6:54again."
  182. 6:55All right, and you can see it's pulled
  183. 6:57up Amazon in its own Chrome window, and
  184. 6:59is now navigating the site, adding my
  185. 7:02last purchases to my cart. So, while
  186. 7:05that does the shopping for us, we come
  187. 7:06back to number six, which beats out
  188. 7:09number seven by about a thousand
  189. 7:11dollars. Not even 600 downloads.
  190. 7:14Clicking on that, it's Matt Pocock
  191. 7:15again, and it's called TDD,
  192. 7:18which is a very interesting skill. It
  193. 7:20stands for test-driven development.
  194. 7:23Write the exam before studying. So,
  195. 7:26Claude, your Claude will now first write
  196. 7:29a test that defines what correct looks
  197. 7:32like. So, it doesn't matter if you're
  198. 7:33coding, or writing emails, or creating
  199. 7:34content for your social media, you need
  200. 7:37what a correct looks like before Claude
  201. 7:40writes a line of code or starts the
  202. 7:42work, because normally what happens with
  203. 7:44Claude in this is why it generates AI
  204. 7:46slop is the classic AI problem of code
  205. 7:49that looks right or output that looks
  206. 7:51right, but quietly isn't and Claude is
  207. 7:54telling you yes, this is right. Instead,
  208. 7:56if you install test-driven development,
  209. 7:58just like the Kapathy loops that we put
  210. 8:00together on this channel, your AI has to
  211. 8:03meet your criteria of what done is and
  212. 8:06what good looks like and not tell you
  213. 8:08and gaslight you into whatever Claude
  214. 8:10being good. And so now we enter the top
  215. 8:13five. The third last Matt Pocock skill
  216. 8:15at 682,000
  217. 8:18installs is called improve code base
  218. 8:21architecture, which is another developer
  219. 8:23heavy skill. What it does, picture a
  220. 8:25garage where everything got dumped
  221. 8:27wherever there was space. All the files
  222. 8:29are messed up and in different folders
  223. 8:30and all this data is everywhere. This
  224. 8:32skill will have Claude walk through your
  225. 8:34code, spot the mess and reorganize it so
  226. 8:37everything has a logical home, which
  227. 8:39makes every future change faster and
  228. 8:41less likely to break something. So if
  229. 8:43you want to make sure that your code is
  230. 8:45set up in the perfect way or the best
  231. 8:47way possible, you can improve your code
  232. 8:50base architecture with Matt Pocock
  233. 8:52skill. Taking us to the second last Matt
  234. 8:54Pocock skill called grill with docs. It
  235. 8:58says the same grilling backed by your
  236. 9:00project documentation. And so the same
  237. 9:03as what? And this is where we need to
  238. 9:04reveal Matt Pocock's number one skill up
  239. 9:07here with 831,000 download, which is a
  240. 9:10very famous skill called grill me, which
  241. 9:12interrogates your code and all of your
  242. 9:14work if you're not doing code directly
  243. 9:16decisions before you ship them. So
  244. 9:19imagine handing your homework to the
  245. 9:21strictest teacher in school before you
  246. 9:23turn it in, before she's actually going
  247. 9:25to grade it. This skill makes Claude
  248. 9:27grill your plan with hard questions. Why
  249. 9:30are you doing it in this way? What will
  250. 9:32break if your traffic doubles? The weak
  251. 9:34spots will show up while they're still
  252. 9:36cheap to fix. So, I'm back in Claude
  253. 9:39Code. I've installed the Grilling skill,
  254. 9:41and I have a project I want to start. I
  255. 9:43want to create an app that would
  256. 9:44download anyone's thumbnail on YouTube
  257. 9:46and automatically generate a better one
  258. 9:48that's going to get a higher
  259. 9:49click-through rate. I want to sell this
  260. 9:52software as a service {slash} Grilling.
  261. 9:55So, I'm going to send that off, and Matt
  262. 9:57Pocock's skill is now going to find all
  263. 9:59the flaws in this plan and grill me on
  264. 10:02them, make me answer them ahead of time
  265. 10:04before we actually build it because it's
  266. 10:06then going to be incorporated into the
  267. 10:08build. Okay, and you can see Claude
  268. 10:09says, "Both researchers are now
  269. 10:11running." It's spun up two researchers,
  270. 10:14and you can see it started to ask me
  271. 10:16these eight questions. What is this
  272. 10:17strategically? And it's giving me some
  273. 10:20suggestions here. Who exactly pays? What
  274. 10:22does a landing page promise? Whose face
  275. 10:24is going to be in the output? The
  276. 10:26product shape at launch? What's the
  277. 10:28wedge? The market is crowded. Outlier
  278. 10:31libraries, AB testers, how are we going
  279. 10:33to wedge our way into that market? What
  280. 10:35proof of demand before this earns
  281. 10:38serious build time? How do you validate
  282. 10:40this idea? And the bar and the kill
  283. 10:42switch. What is going to be a miss in
  284. 10:45terms of this business, which is pretty
  285. 10:47awesome to start looking at cuz there
  286. 10:49are so many people out there building AI
  287. 10:52software without answering or being
  288. 10:54grilled or looking at any of the
  289. 10:56potential downsides of just joining
  290. 10:59another one of the billion types of
  291. 11:01software that is currently being built
  292. 11:02with no audience. Now, back on our
  293. 11:05Claude Skills leaderboard, we are going
  294. 11:08backwards to number three at the moment
  295. 11:10to have an Anthropic official skill. At
  296. 11:14767,200
  297. 11:17downloads, we have Front End Design. And
  298. 11:21this makes Claude designs distinctive
  299. 11:23and non-generic user interfaces because
  300. 11:26they say AI-built websites tend to all
  301. 11:28look the same, the same fonts, the same
  302. 11:30purple gradients, the same layout,
  303. 11:32Anthropic's official design skill
  304. 11:34teaches Claude actual taste, real
  305. 11:37typography, spacing, and layout craft.
  306. 11:39So, what it builds looks custom and
  307. 11:41expensive instead of obviously AI-made.
  308. 11:44You can go to the official GitHub repo
  309. 11:47by Anthropic and see this has 168,000
  310. 11:51stars. You can, of course, install this
  311. 11:54in one click. We're going to be doing a
  312. 11:56full breakdown on Claude design skill
  313. 11:59and how to get the best design out of
  314. 12:01Claude that is non-generic, non-sloppy,
  315. 12:04and exciting to actually be launching.
  316. 12:06So, if you want that, hit the subscribe
  317. 12:07button that is coming next week. Which
  318. 12:09takes us to the number one skill out of
  319. 12:12all Claude skills. This is by Vercel
  320. 12:16Labs and it has 2.9 million installs.
  321. 12:20Honestly, this is a strong skill for you
  322. 12:23to have. It's also one of those meta
  323. 12:25skills again because the number one
  324. 12:26skill on Claude is called find skills.
  325. 12:29This will help you find the most
  326. 12:32in-demand and most used and highly
  327. 12:34polished skills that you can install
  328. 12:37into your Claude. This one, they say, is
  329. 12:39the App Store search bar. You tell
  330. 12:41Claude what you wish it could do and it
  331. 12:43will go find that skill that does
  332. 12:45exactly that and install it for you. It
  333. 12:48sits at number one because it's the
  334. 12:49front door to everything else on the
  335. 12:51list. This is literally the Google
  336. 12:53search bar. Now, this skill install is
  337. 12:55only available inside your terminal or
  338. 12:57CLI command line interface window. You
  339. 13:01can paste it in there and Claude will go
  340. 13:04ahead and install the mother of all
  341. 13:07skills skill, the actual skill search.
  342. 13:10So, once that's installed, you type NPX
  343. 13:13space skill space find and I'm just
  344. 13:15going to dictate with Whisper Flow here
  345. 13:17with my voice and say, "Please find me a
  346. 13:19skill that allows me to paste a meme and
  347. 13:21someone's face and it will paste that
  348. 13:24person's face into that meme." And then
  349. 13:26you can send that back to Claude and he
  350. 13:28will go and find the most relevant skill
  351. 13:31for your request. So, you can see Claude
  352. 13:33went and found this skill, the clear
  353. 13:35winner, called Face Swap, at 342,000
  354. 13:39installs, by far the most popular, which
  355. 13:41I could pull that into my Claude right
  356. 13:42now. It's also given me the runners-up
  357. 13:45for the three other most popular, which
  358. 13:47is 900 installs, 366.
  359. 13:50If you've enjoyed this video, hit that
  360. 13:52subscribe button below, and I'll see you
  361. 13:53in the next one.
