I Recreated a $200K/Month App's Ads Using AI — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Coming up, Shotsy makes over $200,000
- 0:04a month. And one of their best ads is a
- 0:06hand-drawn whiteboard explainer video.
- 0:11>> [music]
- 0:15>> Now, the old way to make this type of
- 0:18video is to find an illustrator, an
- 0:20animator, and a voice actor costing you
- 0:24thousands of dollars and weeks of
- 0:27production. Today, I'm going to create
- 0:30the same kind of ad for your app in one
- 0:34sitting for a fraction of the cost. By
- 0:38the end of this video, you'll learn how
- 0:40to find your competitors'
- 0:42best-performing ads, break it down, and
- 0:46remake it for your own app with AI
- 0:49faster and better than hiring an
- 0:52animator. All right. Let's get started.
- 0:55All right, here's the app that we're
- 0:57going to take a look at, Shotsy, right
- 0:59now. And according to similarweb.com,
- 1:01the app makes over $200,000.
- 1:05And it's a great indie app success
- 1:07story, and we're going to break down
- 1:09their entire ad strategy using Claude.
- 1:12Now, to run the research, the
- 1:14generation, and the editing, you usually
- 1:18have to jump between a lot of different
- 1:20tools. Today, I'm going to be using the
- 1:23Max Fusion MCP, so I can do it all
- 1:26within Claude without opening a single
- 1:30UI. Shall we get into it? All right.
- 1:33First and foremost, we need to connect
- 1:35the Max Fusion MCP to Claude. So, here's
- 1:38how we're going to do it. You can just
- 1:39go to maxfusion.ai/mcp.
- 1:42Now, the easiest and my recommended way
- 1:44is to have Claude open, and then just
- 1:47tap this button.
- 1:48Right? Now, if you want to do it the
- 1:50manual way, I'll show you that, but I'm
- 1:51going to hit that button, okay? So, I'm
- 1:53going to hit go to your name down here,
- 1:55go to Claude settings, go to connectors,
- 1:58and then hit add,
- 2:00custom, and then what you want to do is
- 2:02copy this URL. It's
- 2:04mcp.maxfusion.ai/mcp.
- 2:08Give it a name, and then hit continue.
- 2:11But,
- 2:12I'm going to do it the lazy way. I'm
- 2:13just going to tap on this button. All
- 2:16right, continue, register automatically,
- 2:19sure.
- 2:20And then add,
- 2:22hit connect, allow, and I am done. All
- 2:25right, next step is to actually find
- 2:28Shopsy's best performing ads. So, I'm
- 2:30going to put this into my chat window.
- 2:34I'm going to say, "Get me Shopsy's top
- 2:36performing ads from Radar, and find
- 2:38their whiteboard style ad." Right now,
- 2:41Radar pulls their ads straight into my
- 2:44chat, already broken down into the hook,
- 2:46the body, the call to action, the
- 2:49format, and the angle. As you can see,
- 2:52they're all right here. Now,
- 2:54unfortunately, Radar couldn't find that
- 2:56whiteboard ad, but for the sake of this
- 2:58video, I'm going to continue on with it,
- 3:00but it's really cool what they've been
- 3:02able to find. So, you can see the top
- 3:05performing ads. So, this would be
- 3:07something similar that we could try to
- 3:09recreate, right? We would need an
- 3:10animator for this, and so it would be a
- 3:12lot of easier. It's been running for 23
- 3:14days, so you can tell that these type of
- 3:16like whiteboard animated type of
- 3:19explainer videos are doing well for
- 3:21Shopsy, and the cool part is you can
- 3:23download these
- 3:25right away, right here. I love this.
- 3:27This is one that would be so easy to
- 3:29recreate within Max Fusion. But, I'm
- 3:30going to stick to that whiteboard style
- 3:33video right now. Wait, one more thing,
- 3:35it tells you the top performing ads by
- 3:37the ad ID, so you can just use the ad ID
- 3:40to recreate any one of these ads within
- 3:43Max Fusion. I've already done it for one
- 3:46of them. This one is the one I
- 3:48recreated.
- 3:49It's been running for 83 days, three
- 3:52non-negotiables to track on GLP-1s. Now,
- 3:55I'll show you that at the end, but we're
- 3:57going to continue on this whiteboard
- 3:58video journey. Okay. So, I'm going to
- 4:01tell Claude run this ad through the
- 4:04content analyzer, give me the
- 4:05transcript, the length, and what's drawn
- 4:07in every screen. Now, I'm just going to
- 4:09upload the video right here. Run this
- 4:12attach Run this attached ad
- 4:15through the runner I'm going to let run
- 4:17and let Max Fusion and Claude do its
- 4:20thing.
- 4:24Now, the content analyzer is a tool
- 4:26inside Max Fusion that takes an ad and
- 4:29breaks down everything that happens in
- 4:32it. This one is a whiteboard explainer.
- 4:34It's 32 seconds. The first half is
- 4:37hand-drawn sketches explaining why day
- 4:40three feels worse, and you can see. And
- 4:43the second half shows the app. It works
- 4:46because it teaches the viewer something
- 4:48they're confused about, and the app is
- 4:51the answer at the end. Now, I'm going to
- 4:54give
- 4:55Claude this prompt. So, I'm going to
- 4:57say, "Write a new 30-second whiteboard
- 5:00script for my app." So, I'm going to
- 5:02call my fake app
- 5:05GLP pal
- 5:07in the same format, new topic, new
- 5:09lines, don't reuse any line from the
- 5:12original.
- 5:13I'm going to keep the format and change
- 5:15everything else, same structure, new
- 5:17questions my audience has, and my app at
- 5:21the end. Let's see what Claude and Max
- 5:23Fusion come back with.
- 5:28Perfect. We got a brand new script right
- 5:30here, five second
- 5:32and a different
- 5:34on the board animation. Pretty cool.
- 5:37This is why I like doing this in the
- 5:38MCP. A lot of these ad styles already
- 5:42have skills built in, whiteboard,
- 5:44singing ads, vox explainers, and more.
- 5:47So, I don't have to figure out the style
- 5:49from scratch. I can tell Claude to use
- 5:52the whiteboard skill along with C dance
- 5:552.5 prompting skill for the animation.
- 5:59So, this is what I'm going to type into
- 6:01Claude. Use the whiteboard skill and the
- 6:03C dance prompting skill, turn the script
- 6:06into whiteboard scenes, and animate
- 6:08them.
- 6:10BOOM.
- 6:14HERE,
- 6:15I'M GOING TO GIVE IT A NEW PROJECT. I'M
- 6:16GOING to start with a the lower version
- 6:19first to use up less credits within Max
- 6:21Fusion my Max Fusion account. So, I'm
- 6:23going to hit those and then let it go.
- 6:25Take a look. Things are happening. All
- 6:27right, I'm going to let the videos
- 6:28generate and we'll come back and show
- 6:30you the final product. All right, we
- 6:33have the three different clips. So, as
- 6:35you can see from Claude, clip one,
- 6:38clip two, and clip three, we need to put
- 6:40them all together and we're going to let
- 6:42Claude do all of that, but
- 6:45those videos do not have any voice
- 6:47overs. So, let's add that voice over
- 6:49right now. I'm going to type this in,
- 6:51generate the voice over for the script,
- 6:52then add word by word highlighted
- 6:54captions with the Max Captions skill.
- 6:58I'm going to let that run right now.
- 7:03Here, you can see all three drafts are
- 7:05done. Next, I'll pick a voice and find a
- 7:07tool that lays the voice over onto the
- 7:09stitch videos. So, I'm going to hit
- 7:11always allow on this Zarif. It's this
- 7:14best, warm, conversational American
- 7:16English. All right, let's see what it
- 7:19shows us. All right, now we have the
- 7:21final video. I'm going to play that
- 7:23video for you at the end, but what you
- 7:24can also do if you need a medical
- 7:26disclaimer, you can just slice in the
- 7:30app mock-up, the screenshot into this
- 7:33video, but for this purposes, we've got
- 7:36the final video that we saw earlier from
- 7:38Shotsy. So, let's play it right now.
- 7:41>> You ate less this week. Great. But, did
- 7:44you eat enough protein? When appetite
- 7:46drops, protein often drops with it. Your
- 7:49body needs it to hold on to muscle.
- 7:52Picture your plate as a pie. Most days,
- 7:54the protein slice keeps shrinking. You
- 7:57won't notice it today. You'll notice it
- 7:59in a month.
- 8:00GLP-1 adds up your protein after every
- 8:03meal, so you see the gap while there's
- 8:05time to fill it. Download GLP Pallet and
- 8:07hit your number.
- 8:11>> Pretty sweet. That is it. Now,
- 8:16one final step, one more thing. If you
- 8:18want to turn this into a skill, you can
- 8:20easily do that. So, you just tell Claude
- 8:22turn this entire process into a skill.
- 8:27I'm going to hit save, and we have it as
- 8:30a skill.
- 8:32Boom! We are done. So, the next time we
- 8:34want to do this, super easy to get done.
- 8:38All right. Now, using the link up here
- 8:41or in the description, you get access to
- 8:44three full swipe files with winning ads

- 9:06them your own, and best part, skip the
- 9:10animator. Now, go check out maxfusion.ai
