  1. 0:00coming up. But I remember the first day driving  in and I was in my car and I looked back and I
  2. 0:04was like, "Fuck, this is really scary." Why I did  that? I think cuz I remember the walk down to I
  3. 0:09was like, "Do I kiss them on the cheek? Do I hug  them? Do I shake their hands?" Literally was like,
  4. 0:13"Oh, you're going to marry someone in 30 days?"  And I was like, "Okay, but um what about a
  5. 0:17prenup?" Meet Harry Jy, reality TV heartthrob.  He's been loved, ghosted, canled, [music] and
  6. 0:25kissed. He spill his guts. I did what? In a world  of ghosting and dodging red flags, Harry's filling

  12. 1:00from Let's Marry Harry popping in. It's kind of  been a while since we did a solo episode. What's
  13. 1:06new in your life? You got engaged to 20 women.  Yeah. What's going on with that? That's really
  14. 1:10stressful. Like I actually think the first day  [clears throat] I remember when I was driving in
  15. 1:15I think I blacked out because it was the the  scariest thing ever. I also didn't know that
  16. 1:20they were all going to have engagement rings.  Wait, what? They didn't tell you. No, I didn't
  17. 1:24know. I didn't know the premise of it. I don't  Well, I knew at the end I had to get married,
  18. 1:27but then I remember the first day driving in and  I was in my car and I looked back and I was like,
  19. 1:31"Fuck, this is really scary." And then I remember  like seeing all the girls with rings on. I'm like,
  20. 1:36"What [laughter] does this mean?" Anyway, so  you went in, you you feel like you blacked out
  21. 1:40when you arrived, but hopefully you didn't black  out the entire experience. So, is there anything
  22. 1:45you're nervous about people seeing? Yeah, I think  there's a moment where I lie, which I'm really
  23. 1:51worried about that because um it is a bit of a bit  of an interesting conundrum to kind of navigate.
  24. 1:59Um I think I'm also just nervous that like this  is the first time of being super vulnerable and
  25. 2:05like not kind of playing a character. I'm just  being myself and having my family involved. I
  26. 2:11think I'm really like I've been losing a lot  of sleep about that. just being scared and
  27. 2:16um worried about, you know, how they'll handle it  or if people will say nice things to them. That's
  28. 2:23what kind of my goal is because, you know, I don't  want my beautiful sisters to have to deal with
  29. 2:27anything but love and and happiness. So, I've  been really worried about that, to be honest.
  30. 2:30Is there anything aside from you being the true  frontman here? What felt different about filming
  31. 2:35this show compared to your last reality TV  shows? This one was just way more serious,
  32. 2:40like way more serious tone and like the kind of  the groundwork that we're doing before it. Like
  33. 2:46I was reading a lot of self-help books. I was  really worried about um wasting anyone's time.
  34. 2:52I was really worried about wasting Netflix's time  and then also like bringing my friends involved.
  35. 2:57Like there was so many people that I have a really  really close relationship with like at Netflix and
  36. 3:02even at Unwell that was producing  it that I was worried about like
  37. 3:07just wasting people's time and everyone going  like this is just Harry being an idiot again.
  38. 3:11So I think I was scared about that. That was the  biggest thing. That makes a lot of sense. Yeah.
  39. 3:15Also this shirt is like sideways. I don't realize.  Oh, a little asymmetrical. Yeah. I don't I've
  40. 3:20never done Is that intentional? Yeah, I guess.  I was like why is my nipple coming out? It feels
  41. 3:24so [ __ ] Trying to be a husband. You're a husband  now. Yeah. Can you rank all of your shows from
  42. 3:28most nervous you were for them to come out to  least? I think Perfect Match was the most nervous
  43. 3:35or maybe this one. [laughter] This one I  legitimately have never felt like I've had a
  44. 3:40rock in my throat. Like the press days like I've  never had clammy hands. I've always been like,
  45. 3:46"Oh yeah, this will be funny. Like I'll be  able to play it off." But like this is because
  46. 3:51it means a lot to me and it was like such a  really beautiful experience. I think like yeah
  47. 3:55actually this has been the most like nervous  because I again being the only guy on the show
  48. 4:02like all the pressurees on me which is fine which  is great but yeah I think this one but perfect
  49. 4:06match I was more disappointed in myself it makes  sense that this one is the most nerve-wracking
  50. 4:11it's been for you and I think all of us here  at well can tell how seriously you've taken
  51. 4:15it and like how passionate you are about it which  is great because [laughter] so it's your wife.
  52. 4:20Yeah. Like this is your life. Yeah. I know you  talked about like being nervous about people,
  53. 4:25you know, your sisters and their experience. Do  you think anyone's going to be mad at you? Yeah,
  54. 4:29I think people always be mad at me, you know, like  but because I think it's quite uh obvious in the
  55. 4:36show like the push and pull of like trying to be  too silly and like playful or kind of taking it
  56. 4:42serious in a sense. So, I think people always  find something to be upset about. But as long
  57. 4:47as the girls are okay with everything and they had  a good time and that's all that matters and they
  58. 4:51get whatever they need out of it, then that's  kind of the goal. What was the last wedding
  59. 4:54you've been to? Was it your own? Yeah. Yeah, for  sure. I think Did I Or maybe my sisters Sarah?
  60. 5:02Yeah, that was it. Yeah, it's just been my own.  Yeah, [laughter] that's crazy. It's crazy. Let's
  61. 5:07Marry Harry is live on Netflix now. We need to  know, are you ready to become husband material?
  62. 5:13I think that this was the the kind of the whole  the scary thought behind the whole show is like
  63. 5:19am I ready? Am I not? Um I think I am, you know,  I think like that's half of it is just knowing
  64. 5:25that you're ready or putting the thought behind it  instead of just going, oh, I'll go with the flow.
  65. 5:29Feel like I'm when I put my brain to something,  I'm pretty adamant on it. So I believe I'm so
  66. 5:34ready. I'm beyond ready. Um and I hope that  it's reflected on the show. I hope people can
  67. 5:40see that. [laughter] Okay, before we  go and watch back the first episode,
  68. 5:45you have you seen it before? Have you seen? No.  So, I'm nervous. [laughter] So, I'm sweating. My
  69. 5:50top lip is sweating. I was re-watching it last  night. It's very fun. It's very lovely. Don't
  70. 5:56worry. Um, but before like we do that, how many  times did you cry this season? At least twice.
  71. 6:02Okay. Is there more? I'm going to start counting,  but Okay. In it was a lot the first day. Not a
  72. 6:07lot the first day, but we There's a crying shot  in the first episode. I definitely cried on the
  73. 6:11first day because I remember the first um so when  you do these shows you have to do like your intros
  74. 6:17and I remember the first moment um I got very  lucky with my producer Parisa like we were glued
  75. 6:23to each other's hips the whole time like she  couldn't get rid of me well cuz also her job um
  76. 6:27but I remember the first moment we sit down to  do like the hero interview shot where she's like
  77. 6:34you know asking if I'm ready and asking about my  dad and all this stuff and I remember it was the
  78. 6:37first like one of the first questions about my  dad and immediately tears. Like I was still like
  79. 6:42I was like, "Oh my god, this is happening." And  I couldn't stop crying and I was like, "Fuck,
  80. 6:45no, [laughter] not yet." That was meant to be  funny. I don't know if that's going to be in the
  81. 6:49first thing, but cuz I know we changed outfits cuz  they're like, "Oh, you need to be in the suit." If
  82. 6:53I'm in the blue outfit, I was definitely crying  about my dad. Yeah. Well, I'm so excited for
  83. 6:58everyone to get to see this side of you. Yeah,  [laughter] I'm nervous. Don't be nervous. Okay.
  84. 7:06It looks good on paper to have 20  fiances and to be living with 20 girls.
  85. 7:13Why do I keep kissing everyone? But it is  chaos and there is going to be a lot of drama.
  86. 7:18I'm looking for a connection. I'm not Why  am I crying [laughter] so much? Just like
  87. 7:25this is so dramatic. And I could imagine my  life for both of them. Oh my god. [laughter]
  88. 7:33Wow. I feel so lightheaded. That was  your first time seeing? Yeah. So,
  89. 7:39you're feeling lightheaded. You look  flushed. Am I? Yeah. I'm gonna pass out.
  90. 7:44No, I think cuz like a lot of those crying scenes  is and like a lot of the dramatic moments. I was
  91. 7:51really battling with um the grief of my dad,  losing my dad. So, like on the rock there,
  92. 7:57I know in like New Zealand and I was really like  struggling. I was having a really tough time. And
  93. 8:01then yeah, it's the first time seeing like all the  girls since the show too. So like they look great
  94. 8:07which is awesome. Have you reflected on your time  in New Zealand that much since filming? Or is it
  95. 8:12something you've kind of set aside? I think I  fully put it to the side like this whole even
  96. 8:16this whole experience. I think because it was so  quick and there was so much happening every day
  97. 8:22that I fully just like kind of yeah put it to the  side of my brain and like forgot about it. So now
  98. 8:28to have to relive [laughter] this is wild. Well,  luckily we get to put it aside a little longer
  99. 8:33because that's not in the first episode. Oh, like  that is in the first episode. [laughter] But we're
  100. 8:38not going to see any New Zealand footage. Oh,  okay. From here on out. So, we'll keep pushing
  101. 8:43that down the line. Okay, cool. That was actually  the last beach that I went with with my dad. So,
  102. 8:47I was I was really struggling. I remember I was  sitting on that rock and then I was just like
  103. 8:53I was there for maybe an hour. Thought I was by  myself. I forgot I was filming a reality show.
  104. 8:57And then I just hear someone behind me. It's like  it was a [ __ ] camera. Wait, so you're saying you
  105. 9:03forgot you were being on a reality show in that  moment? Did you find that you kept forgetting
  106. 9:06while you were filming? Are you so in it that  you don't even realize there's cameras sometimes?
  107. 9:11Yeah, I think like also because it just felt so  natural and organic and with the girls like it
  108. 9:16felt like such a safe space that I was just like,  "Oh, this is this is what we're meant to be doing
  109. 9:21and you kind of forget that there's a whole  camera [laughter] crew recording everything."
  110. 9:25So like, yeah, these moments where I was kind  of having a meltdown. I was just like, "Oh,
  111. 9:29this is just, you know, me back in New Zealand  seeing my family." And then I remember I just
  112. 9:34like hear people walking behind me and I'm like,  "Fuck, there's a whole crew." That's so pretty.
  113. 9:41Wow. This is like real now. I just want a husband  and a family so badly, to be honest. Crazy. You
  114. 9:48said at the top you didn't know they were going  to be wearing wedding rings. Yeah. So, you didn't
  115. 9:53you didn't choose a ring for each wife? No. I  guess they had submitted their perfect engagement
  116. 9:58ring or like their ideal engagement ring. Were you  able to notice a difference between their rings
  117. 10:03or do they all look the same to deal? No, they  all had different rings. Oh, really? Yeah. Like
  118. 10:06some of them were is it emerald cut and then like  the rectangle one? And they all real diamonds and
  119. 10:11stuff, too. What? Yeah, it was all real. Your 20  wives were really decked out. It's kind of crazy.
  120. 10:16Yeah. I remember just being like, I'm pretty sure  we blew the budget on this. [laughter] But they
  121. 10:20didn't they didn't keep their diamonds. No. Once  they get eliminated, they they hand them back.
  122. 10:25So that was also really traumatic cuz like  everyone was getting attached to them and
  123. 10:29all the girls that were like so they'd always  show them off. It was really nice. I was like
  124. 10:33damn who was going to get like a hairy jy  ex fiance ring. Like [laughter] god. Yeah.
  125. 10:41I don't know. I want to marry Harry because I  think he's handsome and I think he's super tall
  126. 10:48and cool and he could definitely look really  cute in a little prince outfit for Halloween.
  127. 10:52That's the reason she wants [laughter] to  marry me. Crazy. Not a horrible reason. Yeah,
  128. 10:57a horrible reason. Would you rather like  he's funny or Yeah, true. Yeah, that's
  129. 11:01I love I get excited. You look so cool in that  car. the coolest I've ever felt cuz they shut down
  130. 11:07the whole PC2 and you were actually marriage.  Yeah, it was really scary. A partnership,
  131. 11:13a lifelong [music] bond with you and that person  full of trust and love and all the magical things
  132. 11:18that come in between it. I've never put a ring on  this finger before and it feels so surreal like
  133. 11:29holy guacamole this could actually be a thing.
  134. 11:32Oh, do you know much about Hickory? No. I mean,  I knew him from Too Hot to Handle years ago.
  135. 11:42The only thing I looked up was his height  and his sign. What do you think? His sign.
  136. 11:47A Gemini and 65. I'm a 58 Aquarius. That's giving  soulmates. Giving soulmates. No. Chat GBT said so.
  137. 11:54So, no one knows [laughter] anything about  me. No, that's good. But you're a 65 Gemini.
  138. 11:58That's all that matters. I guess the girls  talk about not knowing too much about you.
  139. 12:03Did you know anything about them prior to  filming? Like were you given bios? Like
  140. 12:07what? Nothing. No. That was the craziest thing.  I think that was the hardest moment was trying to
  141. 12:11memorize everyone's names. And I guess that's been  the biggest thing online is people saying like,
  142. 12:16"Oh, Harry only cast like brunette." I was like,  I don't even I don't even cast anyone. I don't I'm
  143. 12:20not in the casting room. Like I don't know what  was going on. I just showed up and I blacked out.
  144. 12:26After [laughter] the day one, did they give  you like a face sheet with everyone's pictures?
  145. 12:30No. No, they didn't give me any face  sheet or anything. I was just like
  146. 12:34there. So, like if you're the third time you're  talking to Sam and she's like, "I'm Sam." Yeah,
  147. 12:38cuz there's like three Sams like Sammy, Samantha,  Sam. Like, that was really confusing, too. I'm
  148. 12:43like, "Guys, please make it easy on me cuz I'm  stupid." [laughter] You're not stupid, Harry.
  149. 12:49I got [music] divorced three years ago. We were  high school sweethearts. We got together really,
  150. 12:54really young. We tried. It just wasn't there.  And I know what I do deserve now. And I know
  151. 13:00that I'm not going to settle again. Juliana  opens up about being divorced from her high
  152. 13:05school sweetheart. Yeah. When you learned  that, did you feel any sort of pressure
  153. 13:08or take a different approach getting to know  her? No. I think with um a few of the girls had
  154. 13:14maybe a couple had already been previously  married. I think it just showed that they were
  155. 13:20maybe taking it way more serious because it was  obviously they know kind of the the heaviness of
  156. 13:26marriage and how serious it is. So I think like it  made me appreciate the fact that they wanted to do
  157. 13:31it a little bit more cuz I was like, "Oh wow." You  know, they've been through they've been through
  158. 13:34it and they've seen the highs and lows of marriage  and they're ready to to commit themselves again is
  159. 13:38wild. Especially for me. Are these women who have  been divorced before is are they telling you in
  160. 13:43the first conversation? Is that something that was  overwhelming to you when you were learning this?
  161. 13:47Yeah, I think the first day because no one knew  who was getting eliminated, how it was working,
  162. 13:53what was going on. So, I know the first day  everyone was kind of just putting every all
  163. 13:57their cards on the table and like telling their  life story, which was like really appreciated, but
  164. 14:02also it was really heavy cuz I remember I was just  feeling the pressure of like, oh my god, this is
  165. 14:06wild. A wild incredible experience. And then  trying to remember everyone's names and then also
  166. 14:12trying to remember their very important stories  and their life stories cuz I didn't want to mess
  167. 14:17it up and I didn't want to like it. I remember  I was being scared cuz I didn't want to say
  168. 14:22get someone's story confused with someone else's  and then put it on them. It was very scary.
  169. 14:26It was very stressful. Yeah. I don't recommend  dating 20 people once. [gasps] I need a guy to
  170. 14:31spice up my life. Some of that's going to excite  me. I feel like guys are so boring these days.
  171. 14:37Sorry. Amber says guys are so boring these days.  What did your dating history look like leading
  172. 14:43up to the filming of Let's Marry Harry?  What was I doing? I think I I was pretty
  173. 14:48cuz you know we knew for a while that like this  was going to happen because it just doesn't happen
  174. 14:53overnight. So I guess I remember I was really  just trying to be within myself and be alone
  175. 14:59and understand myself better cuz I was worried  that I didn't want to get I didn't want to start
  176. 15:03seeing someone and then feel kind of pulled away  from them or take away from the experience of all
  177. 15:08these girls are also getting ready to do the  show. So I know leading up to I was very very
  178. 15:13private and to myself. There was a video  that one of his friends told him that
  179. 15:20she was pregnant and he started crying. It's  really sweet. I don't want to have babies.
  180. 15:26He's [ __ ] boy turned to fiance [music]  and I'm literally ho turned a housewife.
  181. 15:30Oh my god. I've been around. I have [music]  had what I want to. I don't need to explore
  182. 15:35anymore. [laughter] What is making you sweat  right now? I just can't believe that this is
  183. 15:40happening. [laughter] Like wow. Like  I legitimately am sweating. [laughter]
  184. 15:47Yeah. I think cuz like I didn't know like  obviously I only know what I saw when I was
  185. 15:51driving in and like but I forget that they were  all talking and like became friends quite quickly
  186. 15:57and that this was all a TV show as well. That's  kind of wild. Your confessionals were those
  187. 16:03filmed in the house? Like was that set up in the  house? Yeah. So they had the main house and then
  188. 16:07there was like another warehouse that was a little  bit over and they fully like gutted the interior
  189. 16:12and built out this like beautiful set that um  so the confessionals were a little bit away from
  190. 16:18their house cuz it was only one of them and it  was hard with I can imagine with all the girls
  191. 16:22um so they'd have to schedule it kind of crazy  but yeah and then I had a different like the
  192. 16:27their nanny cam or whatever it was where that  was in the house it was like all the girls were
  193. 16:31downstairs and there was obviously the whole house  was rigged up but then it was my bedroom upstairs
  194. 16:36and then this spare room over here where I  would just walk in and just before I would
  195. 16:40go to bed like these are my thoughts and when I  wake up these are my thoughts and it was a lot.
  196. 16:44It was pretty wild. The girls or your fiances had  a wide variety of careers coming into the show.
  197. 16:50Was there any job or career that interested you  the most? Yeah, I think uh Ellie I remember when
  198. 16:58we first went in someone they were like, "Yeah,  one of the ladies here is probably way richer than
  199. 17:02you." And I was like, "What? No way. so exciting.  And then um I remember when I met her, I was like,
  200. 17:06"Oh, wow. This is really fascinating." Just like  her life story and what she does is really cool.
  201. 17:11Then also like Amber's like um being a travel  photographer is really really exciting and really
  202. 17:16intriguing, too. Um cuz that's that's so fun.  And then always looking for something beautiful
  203. 17:21and to take a photo of that. I teach Pilates. I'm  also a mommy. Yeah. He's the light of my life.
  204. 17:28We have fun, just the two of us. But  I'm doing it for me and for him because
  205. 17:32obviously like if a healthy marriage comes out of  this, then that would be super exciting for him
  206. 17:39to have that stability that we are lacking. Sammy  reveals she has a seven-year-old son during her
  207. 17:45confessional, but also to the other woman in the  house. We see her get emotional about missing him.
  208. 17:50Did you approach that relationship any differently  knowing there was a child involved? Yeah, I think
  209. 17:55with Sammy I was pretty like open and honest that  like hey this like I'm not expecting you to be
  210. 18:03away from your son. Like I know that's really  difficult and obviously it's another layer of
  211. 18:07how serious everyone was taking it like for her to  be away from her boy was was a lot. But I remember
  212. 18:13I told her I was like hey like if at any point  this gets too much or you miss him too much like
  213. 18:19don't worry about me. Like it's all good. Like I  would I fully understand. like I'm not going to
  214. 18:24feel any type of way about um that and I know  that's your that's 100% your priority. So I
  215. 18:30remember those conversations were really difficult  cuz I I kind of I felt so conflicted um cuz also
  216. 18:35like I couldn't promise or anything cuz I didn't  know what was going on. I didn't know the process.
  217. 18:40I didn't know who was getting eliminated  or what was going on. So I couldn't
  218. 18:43be like ah stay a week or whatever or stay a  little bit longer. I couldn't really do any of
  219. 18:47that. And I was just like, I just want you to  know that no matter what you feel, if you feel
  220. 18:51called to going back to your son, please do it.  Don't worry about me. So, it was it was difficult.
  221. 18:56Your emotional maturity here is very husband  material. Is it good? Cool. You're crushing.
  222. 19:02I think we touched on this a little bit already,  but your wives all have such different backgrounds
  223. 19:07during the casting process. Were you able to give  any non-negotiables or preferences to the casting
  224. 19:12directors or they're like, "We got this?" No, I  literally was just like whatever you guys feel
  225. 19:17is best. I don't want to think about it. I just  want to show up and know that like your brains
  226. 19:21are probably way smarter than mine. [laughter]  Like you got to give yourself more credit here.
  227. 19:27Honestly, I was just like and then I know Alex was  like kind of she had the the last looks and and
  228. 19:33I'm like I would trust her. So my dating history  is terrible. So my friends are here to help you.
  229. 19:39Looking good. Hi guys. Amanda is my north  star in all of this. She's been there
  230. 19:47through all the tough times and the hard  times with dealing with grief. Love you.
  231. 19:52I know no matter what, Amanda  [music] will have my back. [laughter]
  232. 19:58Georgie is my ex-girlfriend and she's here because  all my other exes said no. Which is not true.
  233. 20:05George and I have a really good relationship.  I remember actually first day we were filming
  234. 20:08there was an ex whose agent wasounding  Netflix to get her on the show. I even had an
  235. 20:14ex's agent to come to a charity event that  I was hosting to tell me to get Netflix to
  236. 20:20send the contract so she could be on the show.  And I was like no there's no way. I was like we
  237. 20:25this this is for Georgia. So how did Georgia  win out of all the ex's obviously competitive
  238. 20:30slot to fill. Well, the thing is with Georgia is  she's a good person and like she was coming like
  239. 20:37this is a it's a crazy thing to walk into. Like I  couldn't imagine being an ex and walking into this
  240. 20:42environment and like having to do this for  her. Like it's very daunting. Like it's quite
  241. 20:45intimidating. And I just guess cuz I told when  they were doing like the casting for the show,
  242. 20:49I just said you can interview every single  person in my life, whoever you feel is best
  243. 20:53for it. I don't want there to be any rules and  regulations. I said any X, whatever you need.
  244. 20:57But I [snorts] think just because Georgia  was we'd recently became really close again
  245. 21:02and she was really there when uh after my dad had  passed. So it was like hard to ignore that. It was
  246. 21:07hard to discount that. And I think the other exes  that they had spoken to were just being really
  247. 21:12nasty and mean and and for some reason just  wanted to do it for themselves instead of hey
  248. 21:16like let's come together and let's do something  cool and uh try and change history. [laughter]
  249. 21:23So wild. What's one thing about Georgia that  you admired that she brought to the show? Um,
  250. 21:29you know, Georgia gave a more I think for me  personally and not about the whole experience,
  251. 21:35but with me, I was like I couldn't really like  dance around anything because she'd seen like
  252. 21:41my highs, my lows, like we had a very up and  down relationship. So, I kind of just had to be
  253. 21:47who I am and who I wanted to be. like I couldn't  like she could see if I was being a little bit
  254. 21:51naughty or a younger version of myself was  coming out and she could clock those like
  255. 21:55characteristics. So, I really appreciated that  insight. Like that was really really helpful.
  256. 21:59Um and she really like I think with the girls  too, it was nice for them to connect with her
  257. 22:04and talk with her throughout the whole process.  She just gives such a a light to everything.
  258. 22:09In addition to Georgia, you also had Amanda,  one of your very good friends, and then Sunny,
  259. 22:13who you call an honorary brother. What how did  you choose Amanda and Sunny to be two of the other
  260. 22:18mentors? Amanda just she took it the most serious  like she was very formal with her approach and she
  261. 22:26really didn't want she didn't really want me to  waste anyone's time but also my own and she really
  262. 22:31cares and Sunny just like doesn't trust any of  my other friends. Like he's he was like I feel
  263. 22:37like this is like he's he's a no [ __ ] friend.  Like he'll he doesn't care about TV. He doesn't
  264. 22:42care about fame or whatever else. He just cares  about me. um and also the godfather to his son.
  265. 22:48So, he wanted to make sure that whoever I'm  bringing back is gets a thumbs up from him.
  266. 22:53And do you feel like the trio, Georgia, Amanda,  Sunny, like they worked well together throughout?
  267. 22:59You know, I know I remember the first day there  was a bit of friction like before this moment
  268. 23:03before I walked out. It was a bit of friction, but  then they they all figured it out because I guess
  269. 23:09everyone had like high emotion like going into  it cuz it's like kind of scary and like weird
  270. 23:14and no one knew what to expect. So, I know we were  everyone was kind of trying to figure out where
  271. 23:18everyone was landing after the first day. It was  pretty smooth sailing. Like they had a group chat
  272. 23:24um where they were kind of kiki and catch up on  everything and yeah, they were watching the whole
  273. 23:28time which was really wild. It makes sense that  there was probably friction between them because
  274. 23:33all three of them were taking it so seriously.  So the pressure of determining one of their good
  275. 23:38friends future is so wild. It's really weird.  It's a weird idea. I feel like you're so ready
  276. 23:44for this journey in your life. I know you want  to be a husband. I know you want kids. I know you
  277. 23:48want a family. And like I hope you find somebody  that you just want to love and who will love you
  278. 23:55in return because that's important too. Yeah. I  just uh obviously you know you're the three cry
  279. 24:01I have in my life. Swear to God I was choking  up. That's why I had to look down cuz I was
  280. 24:05going to cry. Wait, why? What about this? Seeing  all three of them together made you want to cry.
  281. 24:11I think cuz it was real now and I was like  oh my god I'm about to go do it. [screaming]
  282. 24:16Hi you little treasures. Well, thank you  so much for waiting. Hello. How you doing?
  283. 24:20I don't know why I shook her hand. [laughter]  Nice to meet you. How you doing? So, you were
  284. 24:24noticeably nervous, red, and flustered during the  first episode and Sam calls you out on it later.
  285. 24:31What was it like walking into a garden of  20 beautiful women? I think I'm sweating
  286. 24:36now thinking about it again. Like, it was so weird  and surreal like all these incredible ladies there
  287. 24:44wanting to meet me, potentially get married.  Like, oh my god. I I I like I I remember my
  288. 24:50brain was doing back flips trying to figure out  like how to just be calm and like be normal and
  289. 24:55not freaked them out. But I don't want them to  think I was weird, too, cuz I was really scared
  290. 24:58about it. Well, you were so nervous. You shook one  of their hands. Yeah. I don't know [laughter] why
  291. 25:02I did that. I think cuz I remember the walk down  too. I was like, do I kiss them on the cheek? Do
  292. 25:06I hug them? Do I shake their hands? I don't want  someone to think that like I'm being weird by only
  293. 25:12shaking someone's hand and then hugging someone  else. So I think my brain was just like I think in
  294. 25:16these moments you're overanalyzing everything  and trying to make sure that you're doing
  295. 25:20the right thing and the right thing by the whole  group instead of just one person and that was also
  296. 25:25tough. Okay. You came out you you drove this sick  car down the PCH. You come out in like this sharp
  297. 25:30nice tan suit. What went into wardrobe? Were you  trying on Were you like panicking? Was it like
  298. 25:35what am I going to wear to meet these women? Thank  god we had the best stylist Dena. So she like
  299. 25:39I didn't have to think about anything. I just show  up and she's like this is what you're wearing. And
  300. 25:43that was the best [laughter] feeling cuz like I  don't know what I was going to do. If it was left
  301. 25:48up to me, I probably would have I probably would  have just not shown up. Nice to meet you. Nice to
  302. 25:52meet you. Thank you so much. No, my brace already.  Oh my god. [laughter] That's actually legit.
  303. 25:59Is that real? Is that real? Do you remember  that moment of Shane getting stuck around you?
  304. 26:04I blacked out. Literally blacked out. But I  thought I thought I was like, "Oh, this is a good
  305. 26:07bit." Like, but I don't know if that was I still  don't know if that's real. [laughter] You know,
  306. 26:12you're hearing some of the girls share their  apprehension and nerves about your dating history.
  307. 26:17How does that feel watching it back? You know,  it's valid. Like, it's fair enough to to feel
  308. 26:22some type of way. I guess also like having  my whole dating life since I was like 19, 20,
  309. 26:29be on a show in some way, shape, or form.  Like, imagine if any like if everyone had
  310. 26:34their early 20s being filmed and their dating  life, like I'm sure they wouldn't be perfect. So,
  311. 26:39there's a lot of highs and lows. So, I  fully understand that they would be feeling
  312. 26:43some type of way about it, but I guess hopefully,  you know, with this whole experience, they see the
  313. 26:48new version of me and like the the growth. Oh,  look at that shower. This is crazy. [cheering]
  314. 26:55Very sexy in here. Whose idea was it to get in  the shower? I think I was just so nervous that
  315. 27:01I was like, "Everyone, like, let's try and get  in the shower. Like, let's make it funny." I
  316. 27:06think that was where my brain was going. like how  can I make this like light and funny instead of
  317. 27:11really serious [laughter] early on. Yeah. You  say the version of myself you see online is not
  318. 27:16a true reflection of who I am. Can you elaborate  on that? Yeah. I think when you when in the past
  319. 27:24things that I've posted or things that I've  said online has been either for a reaction
  320. 27:29or for some sort of engagement or whatever else.  I think I believe after I was on tour to handle
  321. 27:34it was cuz it was such a hypersexualized show I  came off that like oh everyone just wants to see
  322. 27:39that like people just want to see you being crazy  or involved in drama or whatever else. So I think
  323. 27:44I just would play into that. Um and I guess the  only version that people would see when they would
  324. 27:50look at me online would be that like playing into  that drama instead of like the person that I was
  325. 27:55at home. So I think it like took me a little  bit of time to realize that like that is not
  326. 27:59who I really want to be. I think something that  stands out and is different about this show
  327. 28:03versus other similar dating shows is you're  actually living in the house with the woman.
  328. 28:08What was that like? I think living in the house  was difficult because when you come down to have
  329. 28:14breakfast in the morning or like get coffee, you  got to like hug and kiss everyone. [laughter] Like
  330. 28:20that was scary cuz I was like yeah saying  good morning to everyone was a lot.
  331. 28:24Um no it was nice. It was really nice to be in the  house with everyone. Were people like coming up to
  332. 28:27your room when you were taking downtime or were  they pretty respectful? Yeah, it was never any
  333. 28:32downtime and then as soon as like we'd be done for  the day and I'd go to bed like I would knock out
  334. 28:36if if someone came in like I would be so exhausted  that I would just be asleep. You filmed the show
  335. 28:42almost a year ago. You've mentioned that you  blacked out. But now that you're watching back,
  336. 28:46is there something from this first day of  filming that is coming back to you that
  337. 28:51you don't think you'll ever forget that you  remember the most? Oh, I think I just remember
  338. 28:56the only thing in my brain was like, [ __ ]  I don't want to waste anyone's time. Um,
  339. 29:01and I remember just Yeah, honestly, I  don't know. Like, just seeing this is
  340. 29:06kind of weird and wild. Oh, I think you  have something in your face. You're That's a
  341. 29:12[laughter] There's nothing in my face. No, there  was. It was actually I I was thinking for the
  342. 29:17future it might have been my lipstick. Oh, I've  kind of like been in front of the camera, but
  343. 29:22like also behind the scenes like my whole life.  So, it's kind of been like a tease. Yeah. Um,
  344. 29:27I feel like at like a young age, I've been like  teased in front of the camera. It's been like
  345. 29:32supposed to happen, but not actually happening.  I remember that. Wow. How was that? [laughter]
  346. 29:39You said you could smell out that Maya A just  wanted to be on TV and it was the worst first
  347. 29:44impression. Since you've spent so much of  your life in the spotlight and on camera,
  348. 29:49what was it about that experience, like your  experience that made you realize you don't want
  349. 29:53the same thing from a partner? Yeah, I guess  like if you know if it was a show, it was like
  350. 29:59taught to handle like perfect match or it's like  a hookup show, I'd be like, "Okay, cool." Like
  351. 30:02that's fully fine to have the energy on that. But  I think because I was taking it so serious that
  352. 30:07when she came in hot and heavy like that, I  was a little bit like deflated and I was like,
  353. 30:11just lie to me a little bit and pretend that  you like actually [laughter] want to marry me.
  354. 30:15That would make me feel good. But yeah, I think we  all saw it right away. I know like Georgia, Sunny,
  355. 30:21and Amanda were up in a room and they came down  after and they're like, "What was that?" I'm like,
  356. 30:25"I actually don't know." Like she I was like, "At  least like lie to me." I remember just like tell
  357. 30:29me a little bit just so like it's at least a bit  convincing that you're here for the right reason.
  358. 30:34But it's again at end of the day like it's  a TV show so it's all good. I get people
  359. 30:39want to kind of figure out their careers and  that's all good. But hey, at least she didn't
  360. 30:43start your relationship off on a lie. That's true.  Yeah. At least she was on us from the jump which
  361. 30:48is kind of cool. At the end of this first night,  Sunny, Amanda, and Georgia announced that there's
  362. 30:54going to be a group date. How did you get in  the right mindset going in to prepare for that
  363. 30:59group date experience? Honestly, by the end of  the night, like I was so exhausted and yeah,
  364. 31:05I was like, it'd be nice to have a have some alone  time with the girls outside of the house so I can
  365. 31:11figure them out a little bit more. And obviously  Sunny, George, and Amanda were watching them,
  366. 31:15even interacting with each other. So, my brain  was like, it'd be good to learn more about these
  367. 31:20girls, especially the ones that they pick are  like solid um to get to know first off. But
  368. 31:26I know after the first night, I was so ready for  bed. I was so exhausted. Sam got picked to go on
  369. 31:32that group date even though y'all did not get to  connect that first night. How many other girls did
  370. 31:37you also not get to connect with that first night?  A little bit more than half of them that we did.
  371. 31:44Um cuz I remember a few girls were like really  upset cuz we didn't get that first moment and
  372. 31:49then I went on a group date and then I came back  and I know they at the house kind of anxious like
  373. 31:53wanting to meet. So, I think there was like more  than we did more than we met more than half the
  374. 31:57first night and then yeah, I went away and then  came back and was like, "Okay, I really need to
  375. 32:02speak to them." Your first date on the boat looked  pretty fun. You had the jet skis with Charlie. You
  376. 32:08got a rub down from Sam. What do you remember  about that first date? You know, I remember
  377. 32:13just being like so excited to get to be on a  boat uh with the girls and knowing that we're
  378. 32:19all doing like different fun date activities  cuz it was like no pressure. It was just like,
  379. 32:23"Oh, we're all getting to know each other. We're  all on a yacht together on a group date." Like,
  380. 32:27that was really exciting. But I remember in my  head, I'm like, "Am I allowed to kiss people?"
  381. 32:31And I was being worried. Now that you've watched  this episode for the first time, you've heard
  382. 32:36all of your wives initial reactions to you,  their feelings of excitement and apprehension
  383. 32:40that you maybe have never seen before. Is any of  this altering your perspective of them or change
  384. 32:45how you're looking back on your time at the  show? Um, not really. You know, I think like
  385. 32:52kind of been it's been like nearly  a year. So to look back at it, like
  386. 32:57I think I was just more nervous about how I  was being and I didn't again I didn't want
  387. 33:03them to feel like I didn't want to give anyone  less. You I wanted to make sure that everyone had
  388. 33:08equal and a good time. So I don't know like I feel  fine watching it back. Like it's really exciting
  389. 33:14and like I just hope that they all get exactly  what they need out of it. Whether that's,
  390. 33:19you know, a new career, whether that's Instagram  followers, whether that's more TV shows,
  391. 33:24like whatever it is, or their potential  husbands are watching this and they're like,
  392. 33:28"Cool, I want to marry that girl. She's awesome."  Like, whatever they want out of this experience,
  393. 33:33I hope that it comes their way cuz they're  all incredible people and they all deserve
  394. 33:37good things. Well, I'm so excited for everyone  to get to continue watching Mary Harry. It's my
  395. 33:43favorite show. There we go. [laughter] All right,  we are done watching the first episode. There's
  396. 33:49going to be so much more of this. But before we  wrap up today, just to test if you're actually
  397. 33:54ready to be a husband, we have a little marriage  trivia. Okay, let's see how much you know. Okay,
  398. 34:01some of these are like pop cultury. Okay, so I  think you might have them. The first question
  399. 34:05is Kim Kardashian has been married three  times. Correct. Name all. Correct. True.
  400. 34:13Uh, name all three of her husbands in order.  Chris, there's a guy and then there's Chris, and
  401. 34:18there's Kanye. Yeah. Yeah. Damon Thomas. I knew it  was Damon. Yeah. And that one was kind of secret.
  402. 34:25They don't talk about him that much. Yeah. Chris  Humphre always gets credit as the first husband.
  403. 34:29Yeah. Who is he? Why is he famous? Chris Humphre.  Yeah. He's a basketball player. Sick. The start of
  404. 34:35the Kardashian curse. Wow. Okay. True or false?  Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's wedding cake
  405. 34:42had seven tiers to it. Yes, true. That is a  fact. Yeah, I was there. [laughter] It was a
  406. 34:49seven tiered carrot cake, which is kind of crazy.  That's kind of crazy for a wedding. A carrot cake.
  407. 34:55I think that would be my wedding cake. Carrot A  seven tiered carrot cake. Maybe not seven tiers.
  408. 34:59Yeah, like that's a lot of carrot cake. They  love it that much. It's crazy. Good for them.
  409. 35:04Okay, next question. When you change your  last name after marriage, name three places
  410. 35:10you have to legally update it. And what's the  first thing you should update? Your license,
  411. 35:16your bank records, and your phone records.  And your address. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. But
  412. 35:23do you know what the first thing you have  to change is? Your birth certificate.
  413. 35:27No, not your birth certificate. This might  be okay. Social security card here in the
  414. 35:32States. I don't I don't even have one of those. I  don't know where mine is. So, your social security
  415. 35:36card has to be first. Okay. And then your driver's  license, passport, bank accounts. Wow. Employer,
  416. 35:42utilities, like your phone. So, you kind of got  it. Points. True or false? In most US states,
  417. 35:48a prenuptual agreement can be written on a  piece of paper the night before the wedding
  418. 35:53and still be legally valid. No. Because I remember  we were doing this and they're like, "It has to be
  419. 35:5730 days before the wedding and everyone has to  have their lawyers look over it." Is that true?
  420. 36:03Wait, you're right. So, it's false. Okay.  Prenups need to be drafted in advance,
  421. 36:07signed by both parties, ideally with independent  legal counsel. Period. Did you get a prenup? No.
  422. 36:13No. We didn't have enough time. Literally, it  was like, "Oh, you're going to marry someone
  423. 36:16in 30 days?" And I was like, "Okay, but um what  about a prenup?" Which pop star got engaged to
  424. 36:22Pete Davidson, then called it off after four  months? Ariana Grande. Boom. On the Bachelor
  425. 36:28franchise, what percentage of couples who get  engaged on the show actually end up married?
  426. 36:33Is it closer to 10%, 25%, or 50%. 10%. Wrong.  What is it? Roughly 25%. Wow. Good for them.
  427. 36:42Only about a quarter of those engagements result  in marriage. Wow. 100% on nails, by the way.
  428. 36:48What is the most Googled wedding question of all  time? Oh, I know this. What to wear at a wedding.
  429. 36:53You aced it. Yeah, I've  done this before. [laughter]
  430. 36:57What is the average cost of a wedding  in the United States? $50,000. No. Oh,
  431. 37:03how many? 35,000. Oh, wow. But  hundreds more. Oh, [laughter] yeah.
