1. 0:00Hey Alex, serious question. I fell into
2. 0:03a business as a psychic giving advice.
3. 0:05I'm making enough to live, but I feel
4. 0:07bad because I don't actually have
5. 0:09psychic powers. Is this okay?
6. 0:14I would have I was wait I had it fully
7. 0:16loaded to be like uh well, you should
8. 0:18know the answer to this question.

11. 0:24least she admitted it.

13. 0:27if you're looking for a rationalization,
14. 0:29I don't want to I don't even want to
15. 0:30give you a rationalization.

17. 0:33but I'll say this.
18. 0:35No, I won't say this. I won't say this.

20. 0:39I think that it is very likely that you
21. 0:41have other skills that have allowed you
22. 0:42to make this business that you could
23. 0:44advertise and sell ethically by not
24. 0:48um
25. 0:49deceiving your customers.
26. 0:52And so uh the first rule of business and
27. 0:54marketing for us is state the facts and
28. 0:55tell the truth.
29. 0:56And I think that what you probably are
30. 0:59pretty good at is just like life
31. 1:00coaching and therapy. And I think if you
32. 1:02did that rather than say that there's
33. 1:04mysticism behind it and you have psychic
34. 1:06powers, you're probably able to help
35. 1:07like I'm assuming that your customers
36. 1:09are okay like as in that they are happy
37. 1:11with the services, but what you feel bad
38. 1:13about is that you were lying. And so I
39. 1:15would discourage you from lying, but I
40. 1:16would encourage you to help customers.
41. 1:17And so just state the facts and tell the
42. 1:19truth about what you're actually doing.
43. 1:20And I'll bet you if you told the
44. 1:22patients that you have patients
45. 1:24customers that you have right now or
46. 1:25clients that you have right now, some of
47. 1:26them might be turned off, but I think if
48. 1:28you just said, "Listen, sometimes I just
49. 1:29tell you what I think and sometimes I
50. 1:31don't think it's psychic. Are you okay
51. 1:33with that?" Great. And then every time
52. 1:34you're like, "I don't think it's psychic
53. 1:35at all. I think I'm just helping you
54. 1:36out. Are you good with that?" And
55. 1:38sometimes the answer is just yes. And
56. 1:39some people will say no, and that's
57. 1:40okay. You'll find other customers that
58. 1:42are okay with just that. And in that
59. 1:43transition, you'll have gone from being
60. 1:45an unethical business owner to an
61. 1:46ethical business owner. And
62. 1:48great.
63. 1:49You have done it. So the TLDR is you
64. 1:51have some skills that are making
65. 1:53customers happy.
66. 1:54All we need to do is state the facts and
67. 1:56tell the truth about this skills really
68. 1:57are
69. 1:58and then just advertise that. And then
70. 1:59you won't have this issue and I'll bet
71. 2:01you you'll grow a lot faster because you
72. 2:02won't be holding yourself back as you
73. 2:03won't feel bad about it. If you like
