- 0:00In 2023, I got scammed out of all my
- 0:03money and more.
- 0:05I was negative tens of thousands of
- 0:07dollars in debt. My bank accounts were
- 0:08frozen. I literally could not
- 0:11buy a bar of chocolate at the gas
- 0:13station if I wanted to.
- 0:16And
- 0:17literally 2 months later in the fall
- 0:20and winter of 2023, I was making over
- 0:2460 grand a month gross, $30,000 a month
- 0:27cash collected.
- 0:29And
- 0:31in this video, you know, this video is a
- 0:33bit outside of my traditional business
- 0:35and strategic content, but in this
- 0:36video, I'm going to walk you through
- 0:37some of the things that I wish I had
- 0:39known about not just business, but
- 0:42success, money, wealth, and and how we
- 0:44can shift our mind into that
- 0:47version of us that creates these
- 0:49beautiful situations for ourselves.
- 0:52And
- 0:53hopefully you can take this and run with
- 0:55it. I'm not going to spend this entire
- 0:56video speaking on the story. If you want
- 0:59to learn more or hear more about that, I
- 1:01got about an hour-long video
- 1:04that is literally called my story.
- 1:06Um
- 1:07but this is this video is more so
- 1:11a testament to number one, how quickly
- 1:12things can change.
- 1:14And also some more specific lessons
- 1:16again about how to think about wealth
- 1:17and then perhaps how to strategize for
- 1:19it, how to strategize for success.
- 1:21Success is one of the things where it's
- 1:22a bit difficult to plan
- 1:24as bad as you might want it.
- 1:26But skills make it a lot more
- 1:28predictable.
- 1:29And so, there's a like this video I'll
- 1:32talk about
- 1:34you know, mindset and the mindset it
- 1:36took to get there, but not just get
- 1:38there, to sustain it and to recreate
- 1:40that situation over and over again cuz
- 1:41that wasn't just, you know, it didn't
- 1:43just happen one time. Uh since that uh
- 1:46since 2023,
- 1:48uh I've had two other businesses that
- 1:49have scaled beyond um 50-60K a month
- 1:52range, for sure.
- 1:55And uh some other, you know, more
- 1:57strategic
- 2:00things that I'd that I'd like to share
- 2:02with you that I wish I had known. So,
- 2:03again, it's a bit outside of like
- 2:06business 101, but it's definitely
- 2:08uh something that I will
- 2:12want to share with you and that I think
- 2:13might be well worth your time. So, if
- 2:15you're new to my channel, welcome. My
- 2:17name is Pablo. As you can see, I'm a bit
- 2:19I'm outside of my studio. I'm actually
- 2:20in the guest room of my house.
- 2:22And there's a reason why I'm here and
- 2:26why I don't have my fancy microphone and
- 2:28the lighting and the whole thing. Um I
- 2:30had a conversation this week with a
- 2:31client of mine
- 2:34that uh sort of renewed my
- 2:36love and sense of purpose for the
- 2:39educational work that I do amidst, you
- 2:41know, when I'm not running the business.
- 2:43And uh
- 2:46I'll tie this into the story, but
- 2:49I wasn't able to really start making the
- 2:52amount of money that I
- 2:53really wanted to make until I went from
- 2:56just wanting it to needing it. You know,
- 2:59and not just in like a
- 3:01a desperate way where it exudes lack,
- 3:03but like a situation where
- 3:07I took full accountability and and
- 3:09of my situation and
- 3:11I was willing to move heaven and earth
- 3:13to make my situation happen. Almost like
- 3:15to the point where I didn't really need
- 3:17any sort of guidance. I just I was just
- 3:19moving through the world intuitively and
- 3:22just making things happen. I wasn't
- 3:23waiting for instruction. I just made
- 3:25things happen. So,
- 3:27a bit of a background um
- 3:29>> [clears throat]
- 3:29>> oh, sorry. And and and so,
- 3:32part of why I'm making this video um in
- 3:34here was because
- 3:35I I just wanted to share with you that
- 3:37like it really doesn't matter how many
- 3:39views you you might be getting or
- 3:42uh I wanted to show you, you know, it
- 3:44doesn't matter like
- 3:46how much of identity you have adopted in
- 3:48whatever you're doing. Just just get the
- 3:51thing out there. You know, and like just
- 3:54getting
- 3:55stuff out there or putting the business
- 3:57out there or starting the business or
- 3:58like jumping on the sales call or
- 4:00sending the cold email,
- 4:01even if it may not be up to par, is
- 4:05infinitely better than not doing
- 4:06anything at all.
- 4:07So,
- 4:10I wanted this sort of style of video to
- 4:12be a testament to that. Um I also don't
- 4:14like to be restricted to like
- 4:17any sort of
- 4:18uh medium. I always want to be in a
- 4:20situation where I can just make things
- 4:21and go, you know? Anyway,
- 4:23so I mentioned I got scammed out of all
- 4:26my money. This was in 2023. So, I had
- 4:29actually given up on entrepreneurship.
- 4:30In the spring of 2023, I had a business.
- 4:32It was an AI education business when the
- 4:34ChatGPT boom first came around.
- 4:37And uh
- 4:38I was making good money. I had just
- 4:39cracked 10K a month. It was my first
- 4:41business that made any money. Like my
- 4:43first dollar on the internet, and let
- 4:45alone real money.
- 4:46And that business collapsed cuz I had no
- 4:48idea what I was doing. I made this
- 4:50analogy earlier this week with a client
- 4:52of mine where I was like, "Business is
- 4:53like ice skating."
- 4:56And when you first get into business,
- 4:57you're so like you want to succeed so
- 4:59bad, and
- 5:00you are
- 5:02to the point where like a lot of people
- 5:03are afraid of falling. Fail They're
- 5:05afraid of failing in business, and then
- 5:07it's kind of like falling in ice
- 5:08skating. And you know, it's almost like
- 5:09you got to fail
- 5:11to realize it won't kill you. It's like
- 5:14the only thing that's going to happen is
- 5:15you're going to be a bit bruised. Your
- 5:16ego's going to be bruised, and it you're
- 5:18going to be a bit sore.
- 5:20But like you're not going to die.
- 5:22It's It's almost just like ice skating.
- 5:25And
- 5:27you might hear some entrepreneurs on the
- 5:28internet on your feed be like, "I don't
- 5:31take anyone's I don't take any
- 5:32entrepreneur seriously unless they've
- 5:33gone through one or two failed
- 5:34businesses." That's what that's about.
- 5:36Like it's like you can't really take
- 5:37someone seriously if they want to learn
- 5:38how to ice skate or play hockey unless
- 5:40they're unless they've fallen a few
- 5:42times, you know?
- 5:44And uh
- 5:45so I had given up on entrepreneurship
- 5:47cuz, you know, I didn't have the
- 5:48patience and the wherewithal and the
- 5:50grit to stick it out.
- 5:53I thought everything was just supposed
- 5:54to come to me and that it's supposed to
- 5:55work for the It's supposed to work the
- 5:57first time and the moment you hit 10k
- 5:58month it's supposed to be like that all
- 5:59the time.
- 6:02It's like the moment you learn how to
- 6:03ice skate you're never supposed to fall
- 6:05again. Like you see how warped our
- 6:06beliefs can be when it comes to
- 6:09business, even though they can be level
- 6:12everywhere else in our lives. When it
- 6:13comes to something about foreign like
- 6:15business, we think the same rules apply.
- 6:17The thing about business is there are no
- 6:19rules. And you don't really
- 6:22go and see the success and create the
- 6:23momentum you want until you really
- 6:25internalize that. Not just from a logic
- 6:27and theory perspective, but like you
- 6:29operate in a way where there are no
- 6:31rules. And so, in that way you're not
- 6:32afraid to post things, you're not afraid
- 6:34to make certain offers cuz you know that
- 6:37no one can fire you. The whole point of
- 6:39a business is that so that you can't get
- 6:40fired so that you don't have to operate
- 6:43and abide by anyone else's critique. And
- 6:45all those things were, I don't know
- 6:47about you, but those things were holding
- 6:48me back. But point being, I had given up
- 6:50on entrepreneurship,
- 6:51threw in the towel. I started applying
- 6:53for jobs. The The job I applied was
- 6:55fictitious. I ended up getting scammed
- 6:56out of all my money. It was one of those
- 6:57job scams.
- 6:59And uh
- 7:00I lost all my money.
- 7:03All of it. And my and some and maxed out
- 7:05credit cards and my my my accounts were
- 7:07frozen.
- 7:09Cuz you know, the bank had to
- 7:10investigate and did a na na na. And so,
- 7:12I couldn't do anything. Literally, my
- 7:13debit cards, credit cards, nothing would
- 7:15work.
- 7:16And
- 7:20obvious like I wasn't in a position
- 7:22where I could go
- 7:23just start applying for a jobs again. I
- 7:25mean, no one was going to hire me fast
- 7:26enough. I could have gotten a temporary
- 7:28warehouse job, but I mean, that wasn't
- 7:29even going to cover the What I would
- 7:31make from a warehouse job wasn't even
- 7:32going to cover the interest that I had
- 7:34to pay on the credit cards. And you
- 7:35know, I was getting the insurance my car
- 7:37insurance bills and all these bills
- 7:39hitting my accounts and they were just
- 7:40bouncing, insufficient funds. And you
- 7:42know,
- 7:43what that does to your credit and that
- 7:44whole that whole line.
- 7:47And uh
- 7:48I'll tell you this.
- 7:52I realized very quickly that the only
- 7:53thing the only option I had
- 7:56was to start a was to start a business.
- 7:59I really didn't know what I was doing.
- 8:00The last thing I had The last business I
- 8:02had, you know, it worked kind of like
- 8:04that kind of
- 8:05kept banging my head against the wall
- 8:07until something worked, but it like I
- 8:08didn't really know much about skill set.
- 8:11I didn't have, you know,
- 8:14like it it was a
- 8:17it wasn't something that I thought I
- 8:18could do over again.
- 8:21But I didn't have but I needed I needed
- 8:24to get out of that hole so bad
- 8:27that I didn't have time to think about
- 8:29what I knew and didn't know.
- 8:30>> [laughter]
- 8:31>> You know what I mean? I didn't have time
- 8:32to strategize. It's almost like I
- 8:35remember working
- 8:37uh at the agency at the staffing and
- 8:38recruitment agency and I was I was a top
- 8:40performer and then there was this other
- 8:42guy who wasn't performing so well. And
- 8:43then when he found out he was having a
- 8:44kid on the way, he magically learned how
- 8:46to sell and he became one of the top
- 8:47performers. And it's like, "Yeah, you
- 8:48always have it in you."
- 8:52Often times, we are forced by something
- 8:54maybe bigger than us into a situation
- 8:56where we're
- 8:57we're we're forced to become someone
- 8:59different or we're forced to tap into
- 9:01the part of us
- 9:03that like that just takes over and makes
- 9:04things happen.
- 9:08And
- 9:10so I just like I'll I'll keep the story
- 9:12short,
- 9:14but I just remember grabbing my phone.
- 9:15[snorts] It was like an iPhone 12
- 9:17or 10.
- 9:19And I just opened up my camera and I
- 9:21just started recording videos. Just I
- 9:24didn't know what to do. I didn't know
- 9:25what I was going to do, but I was just I
- 9:26just started drawing on a whiteboard and
- 9:29like teaching teaching people what I
- 9:31knew about the things I was interested
- 9:32in. At that point in time, it was a
- 9:34bunch of stuff, but the thing that stuck
- 9:36was health and wellness cuz one day I
- 9:38was
- 9:39just talking about some health and
- 9:40wellness related stuff and the thing
- 9:42took off. It wasn't even AI related.
- 9:44Took off.
- 9:47And uh
- 9:48I got scammed in two
- 9:51This was end of September, October,
- 9:54November, December, yeah.
- 9:55I was out of here.
- 9:57It's uh
- 9:58It's more like, you know, three three
- 9:59months, but
- 10:00two months later
- 10:02>> [clears throat]
- 10:03>> we were we were raking in cash. When I
- 10:04say we, it was just me.
- 10:07And
- 10:08there are a lot of little details again
- 10:10that I have talked about in other
- 10:12videos, but I think
- 10:15a real
- 10:16question you should ask is like, why
- 10:18don't you have what you want yet?
- 10:21And typically, you know, I'm speaking of
- 10:22my like just looking at my own journey
- 10:24anytime I make videos like this.
- 10:27Typically, it looks like a mix of
- 10:28ignorance
- 10:31or laziness.
- 10:34Now, let's just give you the benefit of
- 10:36the doubt and like the laziness is not
- 10:37in the picture. Okay, cool. Ignorance.
- 10:39Ignorance on what?
- 10:40The skills you need? Meaning like
- 10:42ignorance meaning like you just don't
- 10:44know.
- 10:45You don't know enough.
- 10:47>> [clears throat]
- 10:48>> You're not good enough yet at the skill
- 10:50or ignorance about how much time it's
- 10:52supposed to take. And honestly, no one
- 10:53can tell you how much time it's supposed
- 10:54to take. Like I get asked all the time,
- 10:56how long does it take people to get
- 10:57results in XYZ thing?
- 10:59Great question. Doesn't matter.
- 11:02Like great question
- 11:04won't apply to you at all.
- 11:07It'll take the time it takes you.
- 11:09Right? And it took me
- 11:11I graduated in 2018
- 11:14from from university
- 11:16in finance.
- 11:17>> [clears throat]
- 11:18>> Business finance.
- 11:20I didn't make my first dollar on the
- 11:22internet until I was 26. I had been
- 11:23attempting entrepreneurship
- 11:25on and off throughout that whole time.
- 11:27It'll take the time it takes. And then
- 11:29once I made my first dollar, within
- 11:31three years
- 11:32I generated over a million dollars on
- 11:34the internet
- 11:35within 3 years.
- 11:38Right? Of making my first dollar.
- 11:41So, there's that difference of wanting
- 11:42it and needing it. And often times that
- 11:43can't be spoken into.
- 11:47As as strategic and tactful as I can
- 11:48make these videos.
- 11:52I think the best thing you can have
- 11:53right now is just intention, sustained
- 11:55intention. I I I said this to a client
- 11:57of mine, I like this analogy. If you
- 11:58have the intention of you're driving,
- 12:00and if you have the intention of turning
- 12:01your car left,
- 12:04you What do you do? You take the
- 12:06steering wheel, you turn it left. The
- 12:07car's going to go left.
- 12:12If you have intentions of succeeding, of
- 12:13creating wealth for yourself, you're
- 12:14going to succeed. You're going to be
- 12:16hyper successful, God willing. And
- 12:18you're going to create that wealth for
- 12:19yourself, that freedom for yourself.
- 12:20You're going to get there.
- 12:21That's what's going to happen.
- 12:24>> [clears throat]
- 12:25>> It just so happens that the only
- 12:27difference is that
- 12:28the feedback of the car is immediate.
- 12:30The success piece isn't. Cuz what
- 12:33happens is when you have that that that
- 12:35intention and you sustain it, naturally,
- 12:37on that natural bridge of incidents,
- 12:39you're put in positions where you
- 12:40acquire the skills. Unknowingly, until
- 12:43you look at it in hindsight, you're
- 12:44acquiring the skills necessary to create
- 12:45that situation for yourself.
- 12:50But having Like I see so many people
- 12:52fall off, including myself. Again, I
- 12:54just told you it took me so long
- 12:57to get to where I'm at right now. And
- 12:58I'm really nowhere significant, but like
- 13:00I'm on my way.
- 13:02A lot has changed for me in the last
- 13:03year. And I think a lot of that is
- 13:05because
- 13:06I've made it one of my primary tasks,
- 13:08whether it's through journaling or just
- 13:10thinking deeply about what it is that I
- 13:11want. I've made it my primary task
- 13:14having a deep sense of purpose around
- 13:16what I'm doing. Like why why do you Why
- 13:18do you want success and and money and
- 13:21business and AI and like not just for
- 13:23the money, but like why? What are you
- 13:24Okay, if you don't have an answer to
- 13:25that, what are you seeing? What are you
- 13:27envisioning right now?
- 13:28And create some real emotional
- 13:30attachment to that.
- 13:32Having a deep sense of purpose around
- 13:33what you're doing will be incredibly
- 13:35important.
- 13:37Cuz you'll fall out of love of with what
- 13:38you're doing a lot. That little
- 13:40honeymoon stage lasts six eight maybe
- 13:43nine weeks.
- 13:4512 weeks. That's it. 3 months.
- 13:49And
- 13:50I had I had like gone I I burnt out of
- 13:54business so many times that now I know
- 13:58that everybody else burns out. And so my
- 14:00strategy when I was growing my agency
- 14:02VenturScale was just like well one of
- 14:04the components of that strategy was just
- 14:05like I just got to wait 3 months.
- 14:09Cuz cuz these guys can only last 3
- 14:11months. Everybody who I'm up against is
- 14:13only going to last 3 months. So I just
- 14:15got to wait 3 months and
- 14:17I can for sure outlast them. I wait 3
- 14:19months, they're all out of here. I'm
- 14:21probably going to get some clients.
- 14:23So
- 14:25that's a
- 14:27But like that wouldn't have happened if
- 14:28I wasn't really in tune with what I
- 14:30wanted with that sense of purpose and
- 14:32renewing my commitment every day. Uh
- 14:34last couple notes on the mindset piece
- 14:37before before I get to you know some
- 14:39more strategy business strategy stuff.
- 14:44I like
- 14:48I I I
- 14:50Yeah, I don't know. I I wish I could
- 14:51show you my my first TikTok videos in
- 14:542023. How terrible the lighting was. How
- 14:57much I was stuttering.
- 14:59But I needed the situation to happen so
- 15:01I needed my situation to change so bad
- 15:03that I wasn't I I I didn't care. Like if
- 15:05I I was worried about my old employers
- 15:07watching. I was worried about my friends
- 15:09and family finding out. And so you know
- 15:10what I did? I made a new account
- 15:13that none of them knew about and I
- 15:14blocked them all.
- 15:16Whatever it took.
- 15:18I had a lightbulb moment
- 15:21when I was making
- 15:23This is the last job I ever worked in
- 15:24the spring of 2023 was a was a tech
- 15:27support job cuz I was trying to get into
- 15:28cybersecurity. I had gone to school for
- 15:29cybersecurity. I had started from the I
- 15:31had to start from the bottom up again of
- 15:32the totem pole cuz I had switched
- 15:34industries from business and finance and
- 15:36from
- 15:37staffing and recruitment and sales.
- 15:40So in that tech in that tech support job
- 15:41I was work I was making
- 15:4318 19 dollars an hour.
- 15:46And I realized
- 15:48you know as as frustrated as I was with
- 15:50that situation I realized two things.
- 15:52Number one I was so frustrated because I
- 15:54was frustrated with everyone but myself.
- 15:57I was blaming everyone but myself.
- 16:00And in that moment for some reason
- 16:04when I was thinking about like what
- 16:05business to start something occurred to
- 16:06me where I was just I realized that like
- 16:09the amount of money that we make that
- 16:11you make that I make is a direct
- 16:13reflection of how much value you provide
- 16:15to society.
- 16:18And I had to swallow that pill. It was a
- 16:19tough pill to swallow. But in that
- 16:20moment
- 16:22I became hell-bent on providing as much
- 16:24value
- 16:27as possible.
- 16:28And so I just started sharing what I
- 16:30knew.
- 16:31All right?
- 16:33This is before the agency and all.
- 16:36But it still it still applies.
- 16:38>> [clears throat]
- 16:40>> Like when I decided to
- 16:41get into the AI business space my goal
- 16:44to cut through was to provide as much
- 16:46value as possible more value than the
- 16:47next person to build trust.
- 16:52Those things that like I really a lot of
- 16:54people watch who watch my stuff are
- 16:56looking to get started in business.
- 16:58And third I got a few folks who you know
- 17:00doing
- 17:01doing quite well and looking to scale
- 17:03and want the strategy piece.
- 17:06And it's funny the same thing stop
- 17:08people at every level. It's fear.
- 17:12And if like if you want to cut through
- 17:14quickly you got to run towards the
- 17:17things you fear. You got to like you got
- 17:19to list down all the things that are
- 17:20stopping you. Like, oh, I'm afraid of
- 17:22what this person's going to think. I'm
- 17:23afraid of what this person's going to
- 17:24think. You got to run toward that,
- 17:26meaning you got to confront that
- 17:28and figure out a solution to that,
- 17:30whether it's blocking them or making new
- 17:31account or whatever it is, because what
- 17:32you fear controls you.
- 17:34And if you are capable of making 30, 60,
- 17:36100 grand a month, no problem,
- 17:39and you're not making that, that's what
- 17:40worrying about their opinions is costing
- 17:42you.
- 17:44Cool.
- 17:45All right.
- 17:47So,
- 17:48that's a mindset piece. Let's talk about
- 17:51some major things
- 17:53that uh that I picked up along the way
- 17:55that uh have allowed me to not just do
- 17:57this once, but repeat it multiple times.
- 18:01So,
- 18:02so that health and wellness coaching
- 18:04business went to scale and inspector.
- 18:09So,
- 18:13there are a few things that that helped
- 18:14me. A- again, apart from that mindset
- 18:16piece, you know, building trust, having
- 18:18confidence in yourself, like getting to
- 18:19the point where like you just stop
- 18:21thinking at all and you just start
- 18:22doing.
- 18:24It's almost like that ultra instinct
- 18:25mode. But, one thing that really helps
- 18:28me, even right now,
- 18:31is knowing my ICP in detail. Knowing who
- 18:33I'm talking to at every point in time. I
- 18:35don't get on here unless I know clearly
- 18:37who I'm talking to. In my mind right now
- 18:39as I'm talking, as I'm looking at the
- 18:40screen,
- 18:41I know who I'm talking to. I'm talking
- 18:43to myself, my old self
- 18:46from a year or two years ago
- 18:49who is, you know, clearing 30K plus a
- 18:52month in cash.
- 18:55You know, is new to being rich and and
- 18:57doesn't know what to do with all the
- 18:58money. Is probably going to mess it up a
- 18:59couple times, right?
- 19:02By the way, you got to get to that point
- 19:04where like why it's important to fall
- 19:06and to quote-unquote fail. You don't
- 19:07fail until you quit, by the way. But,
- 19:09why it's important to get there is
- 19:10because you got to
- 19:12you got to lose the fear of failure.
- 19:15And that comes with with skills,
- 19:18but also just deciding to believe in
- 19:20yourself. Like you watching this are,
- 19:22you know, you found this probably cuz
- 19:23you probably found this because, you
- 19:25know, you're smart. I'm in your
- 19:26algorithm, right?
- 19:31There are very few problems in the in
- 19:32the world of business and in life that
- 19:34you can't solve.
- 19:35So, trust yourself.
- 19:37But,
- 19:39knowing who I'm talking to
- 19:41in detail and then leaning into that
- 19:45has has allowed me to res-
- 19:49to see results a lot faster.
- 19:52Especially like when I'm doing cold
- 19:53emails or when I'm making content.
- 19:55Well,
- 20:00most people get on the internet, online
- 20:02business,
- 20:05whether they're posting on LinkedIn or
- 20:06running ads and they don't know who
- 20:08they're talking to. Here's a quick
- 20:10little hint. Who you're talking to
- 20:11probably looks like you.
- 20:15Or probably has something in common with
- 20:17you.
- 20:18And I like that took me a really long
- 20:20time to realize.
- 20:21It It wasn't until like a good, no joke,
- 20:23at least a hundred sales calls in
- 20:26where I started noticing a pattern. I'm
- 20:27like, "Huh,
- 20:29everyone is kind of similar to me.
- 20:32Either the way they look or the way they
- 20:33talk or the way what they're interested
- 20:34in or how they identify. They're quite
- 20:36profes- you know, they're professionals.
- 20:38Oh, yeah.
- 20:40Intellectuals.
- 20:41Interesting."
- 20:43And so, I just started leaning into that
- 20:44and it's just it's made business so much
- 20:47easier.
- 20:48Now, the next thing is about finding and
- 20:51leaning into your unfair advantage.
- 20:54And oftentimes you don't like in the
- 20:56moment or when you're first starting out
- 20:57in business, you don't know what your
- 20:59unfair advantage is,
- 21:00but you have one. Like you have, whether
- 21:03it's a skill, a talent, or something in
- 21:06your story.
- 21:08One of those things is is an unfair
- 21:10advantage. For example, and it can
- 21:11change and you can continue to pick up
- 21:13unfair advantages. For example, when I
- 21:15first started in business, I had a
- 21:17couple of unfair advantages. Number one,
- 21:19I went to school for business.
- 21:21That doesn't help me in entrepreneurship
- 21:22at all. Like that's a completely
- 21:23different ball game. As you can see,
- 21:25there's 16 and 20-year-old kids who
- 21:27never went to school or lapping people
- 21:29in business. But,
- 21:32I understood business management.
- 21:35I understood things from a theory like a
- 21:37theory perspective, right? Finance, I
- 21:39understood finance. So, this helped me
- 21:41>> [clears throat]
- 21:42>> for the times I was making finance like
- 21:44investment content and, you know, I'm
- 21:46into crypto and da da da.
- 21:49Helped me with the research and all that
- 21:51fun stuff.
- 21:53It also helped me with credibility,
- 21:54right? Another unfair advantage, whether
- 21:56you might like it or not, it but for me,
- 21:59it took me a while to realize this was
- 22:00an advantage of mine is I had corporate
- 22:01experience. So, I had
- 22:04learned sales in a corporate
- 22:05environment, right? I had the
- 22:07professionalism aspect. So, this helped
- 22:09me and and something I realized I should
- 22:12lean into when I was making content,
- 22:14when I was on calls with prospects is
- 22:15yes, I come from the corporate world. I
- 22:18understand you, right? You got to lean
- 22:20into these unfair advantages. Another
- 22:22advantage I have is I'm well-spoken.
- 22:25And so, it's in my best interest to be
- 22:27making content, video-based content,
- 22:30right?
- 22:31You got to lean into your unfair
- 22:32advantage. My unfair advantage now, if I
- 22:34want to start a business, is it's not my
- 22:36first business.
- 22:37I'm three, four businesses in that have
- 22:40been successful in terms of making
- 22:42money.
- 22:44So, I'm not starting from scratch. So, I
- 22:46can do things like like that even that
- 22:49business right there, the health and
- 22:50wellness coaching business where, you
- 22:52know, two, three months in, I'm making
- 22:53I'm clearing 60 grand a month gross.
- 22:56That wasn't my first business. I didn't
- 22:57know what I was doing, but at the very
- 22:59least, I had acquired the the of making
- 23:00organic content. number one. Number two,
- 23:03I knew from the previous business that
- 23:05it's probably going to take an immense
- 23:06amount of volume and output to create
- 23:08momentum.
- 23:09And so, I came out the gate posting five
- 23:11times a day. That's how I was able to
- 23:13change my life that quickly.
- 23:17Every month I was putting, you know,
- 23:18there was 150 attempts to, you know, go
- 23:20viral and change my life. Of course, one
- 23:22of them's going to hit.
- 23:23And that's how I was thinking.
- 23:26And you find that optimism tends to work
- 23:28in your favor in the business world.
- 23:32Your unfair advantage, always look for
- 23:34those unfair advantages. And when I'm
- 23:35working with business owners, that's one
- 23:36of the things I look for.
- 23:38That unfair advantage typically
- 23:41will reveal the closest path to the
- 23:44money and to the next phase of wealth.
- 23:46You have an unfair advantage, find it.
- 23:47It's probably the thing that you've been
- 23:49neglecting for a while. Like, I didn't
- 23:50want to identify as some corporate
- 23:52person. I was so burned out of the
- 23:53corporate world. Then I realized in
- 23:55business, that's actually one of my
- 23:56unfair advantages is I come from that.
- 23:58I understand structure. I understand
- 24:00professionalism. And this wasn't just
- 24:02for making content,
- 24:04but in terms of relating to prospects
- 24:06and sales and why they should trust me
- 24:08over any other business owner or agency
- 24:10owner.
- 24:12So, finding my unfair advantages helped
- 24:14me a lot. Number three, and and I
- 24:16tie this into that, is leaning in
- 24:19leaning all the way into the things that
- 24:21make me different.
- 24:23I wish I had done that sooner instead of
- 24:24trying to be someone else.
- 24:26And I still check myself to this day.
- 24:28Like, I don't want to be the cold email
- 24:30guy. I don't want to be the AI guy or
- 24:31the AI agency owner. I'm Pablo.
- 24:37And you are you.
- 24:38And like, my my late mentor Alicia told
- 24:41me this. She told me
- 24:48that you'll never get to where you're
- 24:49trying to get unless you're willing to
- 24:53bring all the parts of you. Like, if
- 24:55you're trying to She said it in a
- 24:56different She said some something along
- 24:58the lines I have it written down in my
- 24:59notebook. Something along the lines of
- 25:01like if you're trying to cut out parts
- 25:03of you,
- 25:04you're not going to have the experience
- 25:06or life that you want.
- 25:08And so I realized that like, okay. Sure,
- 25:11I might get I might get into the
- 25:12algorithm talking about AI cold email,
- 25:14but how I'm going to stick
- 25:17is by just being me. And that might mean
- 25:19putting out putting out videos outside
- 25:21of AI cold email. And I had to not just
- 25:23get comfortable with that, but lean into
- 25:24that.
- 25:27I
- 25:28put this out in a newsletter earlier
- 25:30this week. If you're not on my
- 25:31newsletter, you should definitely
- 25:32subscribe to it. It's free. It's a link
- 25:33in the description. I put this out in my
- 25:35newsletter this week. I was like,
- 25:37"The only time I ever face real
- 25:38competition in business was when I was
- 25:40trying to be someone else. Like, it's
- 25:41okay to emulate someone else when you're
- 25:43first starting, absolutely. And you'll
- 25:44naturally stand out and have your own
- 25:46differences
- 25:48you know, differentiators without even
- 25:49thinking about it.
- 25:51But, when I try literally tried to be
- 25:53someone else, that's the only time I
- 25:54faced competition. Why? Cuz I was never
- 25:56the original. So, of course I was
- 25:57competing with them.
- 25:59I could beat everyone else, but I'd
- 26:00never beat the number one option.
- 26:04The moments where I realized that the
- 26:06best option is to just settle into
- 26:07myself,
- 26:10all the competition disappeared. And you
- 26:11realize competition doesn't exist.
- 26:13And like in terms of what that means on
- 26:16a day-to-day basis, it might mean put
- 26:17out the content that you want to put
- 26:18out. It might mean spin up the AI
- 26:20campaigns you want to spin up. Build the
- 26:22business in the way you want to build
- 26:23it. There are times where like I was
- 26:25working 12-16 hour days. If you've been
- 26:27around long enough, you know. And
- 26:28there's times where I work 4 hours a
- 26:29day. Now, I'm in a more relaxed state.
- 26:32We're we're picking things back up again
- 26:33just cuz I'm taking business further,
- 26:35but
- 26:37or like I'm I'm taking it a different
- 26:39direction, so it needs some momentum,
- 26:40but
- 26:42>> [clears throat]
- 26:44>> lean into all lean all the way into the
- 26:47things that make you different.
- 26:52Another thing that uh
- 26:54has really helped me
- 26:57and is also a strategy as well in itself
- 27:00is building trust.
- 27:05I mentioned something at the start of
- 27:06this video where I was like
- 27:09I had this lightbulb moment where I
- 27:10realized that the amount of money you
- 27:11make is is is
- 27:13almost in direct correlation with how
- 27:14much value you're providing to the
- 27:16society. Another
- 27:18piece of that is trust. The amount of
- 27:20money you make is is in high correlation
- 27:22to how much trust you have in the
- 27:23market. And so
- 27:26when I started
- 27:28I I started doing this consciously when
- 27:29I was building Vint and Scale.
- 27:33And
- 27:35it became a a focal point of my strategy
- 27:37where I was just like, you know what?
- 27:38I'm going to try and build as much trust
- 27:39as possible in the marketplace. And so I
- 27:41started pumping out long-form videos,
- 27:43tutorials, walkthroughs, also with my
- 27:45prospects. You know, how it's how how I
- 27:48affected how I structured the business
- 27:49as well.
- 27:51I started making it like a real
- 27:53thing to build as much trust as
- 27:55possible.
- 27:56Trust, community.
- 27:59And then it's helped me a lot. You know,
- 28:01like I never really have to ask for
- 28:05Like I never really have to convince
- 28:06people because I front-load trust
- 28:08whether it's through my workshops and
- 28:09webinars, these videos, newsletters.
- 28:13It's just trust.
- 28:14And I think when you can
- 28:16put the other person the the client's
- 28:18best interests first
- 28:20they'll pay you all day. All day.
- 28:23That's one of those like intangible
- 28:24little secrets of business
- 28:26that has that has brought me success and
- 28:29that my old self used to struggle with.
- 28:32My old self was so concerned about their
- 28:35ability to make money that they wouldn't
- 28:36make money because that's all they were
- 28:38thinking about versus putting the the
- 28:41the viewer or the prospect or the
- 28:43client's interests and best interests
- 28:45first.
- 28:51The next thing is I I
- 28:53especially with that health and wellness
- 28:54coaching business, like to get out of my
- 28:56situation,
- 28:58I gave my self
- 29:00There's something to charging a lot.
- 29:03There's a like I charge people a lot.
- 29:06My
- 29:07Like I I got intro offers.
- 29:09You know, for a couple grand a month.
- 29:13Uh depending on when you're watching
- 29:14this video.
- 29:16But my serious offers
- 29:18like my one-on-one offers and my agency
- 29:20offers are like 16, 20 grand plus.
- 29:23I charge people a lot.
- 29:27Myron told me like uh
- 29:30to to get rich you're going to have to
- 29:31get comfortable charging a lot and you
- 29:32won't be able to charge people a lot
- 29:34unless you pay someone a lot. Or else
- 29:36there will be an inconsistency. And so I
- 29:38ended up paying Myron and some other uh
- 29:40young gentleman
- 29:41a lot of money.
- 29:44And it
- 29:46it uh in my head it was like, "Oh, okay,
- 29:48this is a thing.
- 29:51This is a thing. This is a normal thing
- 29:54to charge a lot of money. And I gave
- 29:56myself permission to charge a lot of
- 29:58money
- 29:59for my work without anyone ever
- 30:00validating me otherwise.
- 30:02And a a few things happened. Number one,
- 30:05it motivated me to make it worth it for
- 30:07the client. So it motivated me to do a
- 30:09good job. And so my work and level of
- 30:11fulfillment went through the roof.
- 30:12Number two, the client was more
- 30:13satisfied. Number three, it attracted
- 30:15more serious clients. And number four,
- 30:17we were more profitable.
- 30:19I got rich. They got rich in result and
- 30:21everybody was happy.
- 30:23Fewer clients, higher price, better
- 30:25business. Charge more. And if you're not
- 30:27okay with charging more, go pay someone
- 30:30a lot.
- 30:31It's it's the advice you're not going to
- 30:33hear in many places.
- 30:40There are a couple of other things I can
- 30:41share about like the funnel and the
- 30:43marketing house and the skills, right?
- 30:47Like my marketing house consists of
- 30:48content, newsletter. From time to time
- 30:51I'll run I'll run ads.
- 30:56I think on route to your first 100k it's
- 30:57about skills, like learning how to ice
- 30:59skate, right?
- 31:02Learning how to skate backwards. So what
- 31:03those skills could look like can be cold
- 31:05email,
- 31:06content, conversion of that traffic to
- 31:09sales.
- 31:10You're probably not running ads on route
- 31:12to your first 100k. You probably already
- 31:14made 100k before you start running ads.
- 31:19But on route to your first million,
- 31:21you know, ads will definitely matter,
- 31:22but really it's it's more so about
- 31:24consistency and leverage.
- 31:26And I think the best form of leverage is
- 31:28brand.
- 31:30Hence why your favorite
- 31:32Like how to how you build brand nowadays
- 31:34you you consistently talk about one
- 31:36thing over and over again. So hence why
- 31:37your favorite entrepreneurs,
- 31:39who might be billionaires by this point,
- 31:40still post on YouTube.
- 31:44Or write books. It's a form of branding.
- 31:46It's a form of leverage. Brand is
- 31:47leverage. Like you can brand
- 31:50Brand allows you to charge a premium.
- 31:53I'm only telling you what's worked for
- 31:54me. I can't rewrite my life story.
- 31:58Maybe in another world, another reality
- 32:00or scenario worked differently for me.
- 32:01But like I just looked to people who I
- 32:02was inspired by, Myron. Myron's on route
- 32:05to being a billionaire.
- 32:06Myron still posts on YouTube. What are
- 32:08you going to tell him?
- 32:10Oh, if you're not making if you're
- 32:11making you know, 40, 50 million million
- 32:13dollars a year, why are you posting on
- 32:15YouTube? It's cuz it's how he gets
- 32:17clients. It's it's brand. Alex Hormozi,
- 32:19why does Alex Hormozi post on YouTube
- 32:21multiple times a day on multiple
- 32:22different channels? Obviously he has he
- 32:24has a team, but it's about brand. It's
- 32:25about leverage. It's so you can charge
- 32:27premium prices. It's so business gets
- 32:28easier.
- 32:32So business gets easier.
- 32:40>> The first 100k
- 32:41is not the hardest per se. It's It's the
- 32:43slowest cuz you're amassing skills.
- 32:45You're learning how to skate. Your first
- 32:47million is like
- 32:49Okay, now you know how to skate.
- 32:52Let's like put the puck in the net.
- 32:55Or like let's, you know,
- 32:58let's see how fast you can skate. Like
- 32:59it's it's easier cuz you have the
- 33:01skills. Now you're just thinking about
- 33:02the fluff on top. And like I don't
- 33:04measure my life like that. Like I don't
- 33:05measure I never measured oh, from zero
- 33:07to 100k now it's about skills. No, I
- 33:09didn't measure it. Don't measure
- 33:11your success in that way.
- 33:13The thing that matters and the thing I
- 33:16want to leave with you is if your
- 33:17intention is to be successful again,
- 33:19you're probably going to get the You're
- 33:20on your way.
- 33:22I can't tell you what that looks like. I
- 33:23can show you, you know, how to start
- 33:24your business from scratch and so and so
- 33:26forth, but like
- 33:29it'll look different from you
- 33:32and me and or from everyone and from me
- 33:34for from everyone else.
- 33:37And
- 33:39that's a good thing cuz you're going to
- 33:40be able to brag about these things in a
- 33:42moment. In fact, you should start
- 33:43bragging now. Like I waited
- 33:46too long to start bragging.
- 33:49That point about leaning into the things
- 33:50that makes you different.
- 33:52The one of the best things I did was
- 33:53start was was
- 33:55There's this thing especially with
- 33:56beginners
- 33:58where they feel like they're
- 33:59unqualified. Like they can't talk to
- 34:01anyone or show anyone anything unless
- 34:02they've made their first 100 grand or
- 34:03million.
- 34:04>> [snorts]
- 34:05>> You making your You know how many people
- 34:06there are on the internet who want to
- 34:08learn how to make 10k a month?
- 34:10Or who who applaud the fact that you
- 34:13make 10k a month more than the people
- 34:14who want to make their first million, I
- 34:16bet you.
- 34:17That's why 10k a month is so popular cuz
- 34:18people can't relate to a million.
- 34:20It's too far away.
- 34:22And then beyond that, making your first
- 34:24dollar on the internet. You know, and
- 34:26and screw like the info side of things
- 34:28for now.
- 34:30Knowing how to go from zero to one
- 34:34is is impressive enough to prospects
- 34:36and people who are thinking of becoming
- 34:37your client.
- 34:41So, anyway, this is um
- 34:43this is a video that I'm just going to
- 34:44leave up on my channel and I'm sure
- 34:46it'll age well.
- 34:48Before we get back to the AI and the
- 34:50business stuff.
- 34:51Cuz what I find is
- 34:53you know, from time to time I'll take,
- 34:55you know, maybe three or five people and
- 34:56like I'll I'll guide them and coach
- 34:57them.
- 34:59And uh
- 35:06I can teach the skill all day, but it's
- 35:08like a lot of stuff is is the intangible
- 35:10stuff that that will allow you to win,
- 35:12but winning is done like winning often
- 35:14doesn't look like you're winning in the
- 35:15moment cuz it feels like nothing's
- 35:17happening, but that's when you're
- 35:18mastering the skill.
- 35:22The skill is what allows you to create
- 35:23money out of thin air.
- 35:26Success is difficult like it's it's a
- 35:28bit difficult to plan,
- 35:30but the skills make it a lot more
- 35:32predictable. Like now I'm at a point
- 35:34where if I want to make 50 grand a
- 35:35month, I can start in a totally new
- 35:36business unrelated to AI,
- 35:39unrelated to any AI, anything like that
- 35:41and just
- 35:42just do that like this.
- 35:44I can run ads really well, really lethal
- 35:46ads,
- 35:47really lethal with cold emails, so I can
- 35:48run B2C offers, B2B offers, I can throw
- 35:51up webinars,
- 35:53short form content, long form content.
- 35:56And even when I didn't know how to do
- 35:57those things, I was attempting
- 36:00and there was nothing that held me back.
- 36:01Oh, I don't want to make it and then
- 36:03it's imperfect, I'm not good on camera
- 36:04or whatever. I would just edit it.
- 36:07I would chop out the pauses
- 36:09until I felt comfortable making videos
- 36:12with pauses or with me thinking about
- 36:14what I wanted to say next cuz I realized
- 36:15it was authentic,
- 36:17right?
- 36:18Vinted scale, I made
- 36:19>> [clears throat]
- 36:19>> I'm oh man, we did over seven figures
- 36:23on that run.
- 36:26And I was making all those videos with
- 36:27those Notion dogs, I was making them on
- 36:28my Mac webcam. This is on my my MacBook
- 36:30Pro webcam right now.
- 36:34I was doing all that on a little MacBook
- 36:35Air. It's just self-belief, my friend.
- 36:38Makes my I made my first 100 grand ever
- 36:40on the internet on an iPhone 10.
- 36:44Still got the iPhone.
- 36:46The screen's cracked now, but whatever.
- 36:47Anyway.
- 36:49So, that's that. Um listen,
- 36:53success is a bit difficult to plan, but
- 36:55skills make it a lot more predictable.
- 36:58Um the skill set if if you're not where
- 37:00you want to be yet,
- 37:02uh two things. Number one, your skill
- 37:04set is probably lacking, and that's what
- 37:06will make you rich at the end of the
- 37:07day,
- 37:09uh whether it's right now or over the
- 37:10course of the next year. And number two,
- 37:12you need to be around winners. I've
- 37:13never invested in myself and not
- 37:16come out making more within a calendar
- 37:18year.
- 37:20I think that's how you got to think
- 37:21about investing in yourself in that way.
- 37:22Anyway, if I have anything for you,
- 37:24it'll be in the description.
- 37:26I got a lot of cool stuff on the way.
- 37:28Uh depending on when you're watching
- 37:29this, uh we are wait-listed. We are at
- 37:31capacity. Uh if you're looking for
- 37:33done-for-you agency services, uh we're
- 37:35at capacity for Q4, so I will keep you
- 37:37updated um
- 37:39via my email list. And uh if you're
- 37:41looking to learn how to start a business
- 37:43from scratch, I probably have something
- 37:45in the description. It's probably a
- 37:46workshop. You can attend one of my
- 37:47webinars.
- 37:48Um I I usually cap it at
- 37:5020 people, so it's always first come
- 37:52first first served. Just look at what's
- 37:54in the description.
- 37:56Um
- 37:57and well, I'll help you get personally
- 37:59I'll personally help you and walk you
- 38:00through to wherever you're trying to
- 38:02get. Other than that, I'll see you in
- 38:03the next video. I'm out. Peace.
