- 0:00after 2,000 days on dualingo can I speak
- 0:02Spanish short answer yes with some
- 0:05caveats let me show you this is my
- 0:07current streak on dualingo that's over
- 0:093,000 days but the first 1,000 days of
- 0:12that were actually learning German which
- 0:13I've made many videos about on my
- 0:15YouTube channel over the years including
- 0:16one full video in German and hopefully a
- 0:18second one coming next week in German of
- 0:20course with English subtitles but every
- 0:22day for the past 2,000 days I've spent
- 0:24slowly but surely learning Spanish using
- 0:26only dualingo with German I had gotten
- 0:29to the point where I was using a lot of
- 0:30other resources I was reading German
- 0:32books watching TV shows listening to
- 0:34music but this time around for Spanish I
- 0:36have not done that in fact for the past
- 0:38four to five years I've been learning
- 0:40exclusively on Duolingo mostly to test
- 0:42out naysayer claims that say you can't
- 0:44do that well sorry guys I have will my
- 0:47Spanish be perfect absolutely not but it
- 0:49will be very interesting to see where
- 0:51exactly my shortfalls are to see how far
- 0:53dualingo alone has taken me I want to
- 0:55show you what my lessons look like at
- 0:56the moment and I'm really excited to
- 0:58tell you about a 20-minute ation I had
- 1:00this past week in Spanish in Berlin of
- 1:02all places all coming up in this video
- 1:04so let's go my name is Evan Ediger and
- 1:06this is part one of a two part series on
- 1:08du lingo the second video coming out in
- 1:10a few weeks goes into detail about my uh
- 1:12current tips and tricks for how to get
- 1:14the most out of the app in 2025 but for
- 1:16now though I just want to show you how
- 1:17far I've come this right here is where
- 1:19I'm currently at in my du lingo path
- 1:21near the tail end of section six
- 1:23according to do a lingo I should just
- 1:25about be able to start learning at a B2
- 1:28Level under the common European
- 1:30framework of reference for languages or
- 1:32CFR now if I were fully at a B2 level
- 1:35Spanish I'd be able to communicate in
- 1:37sentences like this in 1755 Lisbon was
- 1:40destroyed by an earthquake and a fire
- 1:42but later it was reconstructed or
- 1:44rebuilt with a modern architectural
- 1:46style in Spanish this reads
- 2:00can I understand this sentence 100%
- 2:02could I communicate this way well I mean
- 2:05I've got the building blocks it's all
- 2:06about putting them together at this
- 2:08level I can have practical conversations
- 2:10but I'm still far from native level
- 2:12fluency found in the sea levels of the
- 2:14framework it's a point where you can
- 2:16feel confident speaking but there's
- 2:18still a lot to learn as in life for
- 2:21context if I were at an A2 level of
- 2:23Spanish which is a bit more Elementary
- 2:25I'd communicate like this I was born in
- 2:27New Zealand but now I live in Osaka I
- 2:29have lived in Saka for 5 years so the
- 2:31sentences and the grammar are less
- 2:33complex more basic but still
- 2:35understandable since starting the
- 2:36Spanish module on dualingo I have
- 2:38personally witnessed my Spanish progress
- 2:40from the early statements in the A1
- 2:42section to the more advanced ones later
- 2:44in B1 through constant repetition and
- 2:46practice within the app I acquired the
- 2:48building blocks for advanced sentences
- 2:50and developed a sense where I can just
- 2:52sort of feel what words I meant to use
- 2:55not always but a lot of the time for
- 2:57example if English was your first
- 2:59language it's probably the case where no
- 3:00one had to tell you that an apple is
- 3:02correct and a Apple is wrong same with
- 3:05an hour or an excuse to subscribe to my
- 3:08YouTube channel you've just heard it
- 3:09enough times that you can just sort of
- 3:10hear ah apple is wrong now a popular
- 3:13comment made online is that dualingo is
- 3:16too basic it only teaches you vocabulary
- 3:18and one can't really learn a language
- 3:20simply matching words with your finger
- 3:22on your phone and you know what I
- 3:24actually would agree with that final
- 3:25point but that point is assuming that
- 3:27advanced dual lingo lessons are the same
- 3:29as the basic ones the app starts you off
- 3:31with these very basic challenges to help
- 3:33build confidence and realistically as is
- 3:35their MO build consistency so you keep
- 3:38coming back to the app with these little
- 3:40wins but as you progress so do the
- 3:42complexity of the exercises so if you're
- 3:44someone in the early stages on the app
- 3:45wondering what it's like later how
- 3:47advanced do the exercises get or if
- 3:48you're just interested to see how it all
- 3:50works and or how my Spanish is well let
- 3:52me show you a lesson or two where I'm at
- 3:54I'm going to try and show you a standard
- 3:56lesson meaning they're going to be
- 3:57teaching me new words and Concepts that
- 4:00haven't yet been taught in the app as
- 4:01well as one of the listening only
- 4:03sections that focuses more on listening
- 4:05comprehension also a story for good
- 4:07measure just to see how those stories
- 4:09have been developing all right so we
- 4:10have talk about jobs lesson two of
- 4:15six for the record usually I just skip
- 4:18the section where I can hear him talking
- 4:20CU I don't feel like I need
- 4:24that a lot of times as well it will
- 4:26actually trigger as if I've gotten it
- 4:27right just before I finished I'm like
- 4:29excuse me me don't cut me off thank
- 4:31you these exercises right here I can't
- 4:34see anything I have to listen and repeat
- 4:36these are actually quite new as of this
- 4:37year and are really exciting I like new
- 4:39ways of
- 4:57learning I do repeat all the exercises
- 5:00out loud just because that's extra
- 5:01practice why not unless I'm on the tube
- 5:03because I don't want to be a pariah
- 5:05hante the interesting thing the
- 5:06interesting thing is that uh everyone
- 5:09wants to collaborate with my YouTube
- 5:11channel send me an email guys everyone
- 5:12wants to collaborate
- 5:15dingdong so it's obviously M I'm
- 5:17speeding
- 5:20through oh see here we go it's DET
- 5:24DET supposedly he works as a
- 5:28detective sorry guys
- 5:32the most important thing is to ask if
- 5:34you know something if you don't know
- 5:35something detectives can earn a good
- 5:37salary so many fun words like this
- 5:39detectiv
- 5:41detectiv
- 5:49close so this is saying Fernanda read
- 5:52that in order to be an astronaut you
- 5:54should study math or engineering she is
- 5:56looking for universities in order to
- 5:58study those careers the question is what
- 6:01does Fernando want to do she wants to be
- 6:03an astronaut there's a lot of these
- 6:04variations these ones are like the most
- 6:06basic but there's a good balance you
- 6:07don't want it to be all difficult and
- 6:09all easy you kind of want some wins some
- 6:11losses you know you learn from
- 6:15mistakes EST andar don't make sense EST
- 6:19not bad not bad it's so exciting
- 6:30G traveling for free uh the work pays
- 6:33for it okay for example I'm traveling to
- 6:35Russia and I don't have to spend
- 6:36anything I think that's roughly correct
- 6:38yeah when the job pays for it sometimes
- 6:39I'm like oh I got the
- 6:42vibe astrona this is a word that I've
- 6:45just learned from this lesson I really
- 6:46have to focus on how it's pronounced so
- 6:49I can figure out how it's spelled
- 6:50correctly cuz it might be
- 6:53Aon
- 6:57ason ason
- 7:00thank
- 7:03God in order to be an astronaut you got
- 7:05to have or you should have a lot of
- 7:07experience so to be an astronaut you
- 7:12have or must here we go you must have a
- 7:16lot of experience at the end of each
- 7:19lesson you usually get two or three hard
- 7:21exercises rather than matching rather
- 7:23than just choosing a word you kind of
- 7:24got to write the whole sentence the most
- 7:26important thing is to be honest and
- 7:27efficient now this is difficult they've
- 7:28just taught me this the sentence
- 7:31structure and then it says to be
- 7:36honest no it's the most important thing
- 7:39I missed the one word
- 7:41there oh and there's also no K it's one
- 7:43of those mistakes where it's like take
- 7:44your time supposedly supposedly
- 7:47supposedly so I don't know this however
- 7:49because I'm in one of the first ones
- 7:50where they're just teaching this I can
- 7:52just tap on sayone I did not remember
- 7:55thatone is it
- 7:57say see I got both of heart was wrong
- 7:59you got to learn these things oh it was
- 8:01k sayon k all right Ken there we
- 8:04go little pling pling PLS so I now want
- 8:08to show you what a story looks like and
- 8:09I want to show you what an audio lesson
- 8:11looks like but that's going to take me
- 8:13about um about 15 more minutes of
- 8:15learning so let me grind through those
- 8:17and then uh come back to you when it's
- 8:18time for story
- 8:20[Music]
- 8:22time all right finally done that
- 8:24exercise now on to the next story this
- 8:27one's called the flu shot you have
- 8:28options to read it or it hides some of
- 8:31the words and you have to just listen I
- 8:33usually do that because why not just
- 8:34makes it a little bit more
- 8:37difficulty a lot of stories introduce
- 8:39words you don't know and you have to
- 8:41kind of pick it up through context uh
- 8:42the vaccine that is against the flu to
- 8:45to stop the you know what I mean this is
- 8:47my knowledge I'm like okay clearly it's
- 8:48a flu vacine
- 8:53also so Eddie and his son Junior are uh
- 8:57waiting for the doctor outside of his
- 9:02office why do I have to get a vaccine a
- 9:06flu vaccine I don't want
- 9:14to but this this vaccin is pretty
- 9:17necessary all right now I actually have
- 9:18an option here so but I yeah but I don't
- 9:20know how to be
- 9:28brave
- 9:32[Music]
- 9:36for what up Junior yeah opens a box and
- 9:40takes out AUA now AUA is a word I've
- 9:42never heard before so I have to assume
- 9:44it might be needle I could tap the word
- 9:47but sometimes I like to wait a bit to
- 9:49see if I can pick it up through context
- 9:50oh and there we go which word means
- 9:52needle h
- 9:54a he's like dang you right that needle
- 9:57is big
- 10:00so uh junior I have an idea I'll give it
- 10:01to your dad first and then it'll show
- 10:03you that it's not dangerous no it's
- 10:06pigo I don't know what that means I Joe
- 10:10in order to get Eddie to uh take the
- 10:12vaccine first then you have some
- 10:14matching here vaccine is a word we've
- 10:15learned todaya Brave is Valente next it
- 10:19basically asks you what happens in the
- 10:21story and then you're supposed to
- 10:22explain it however true uh dualingo OG's
- 10:25we just type no a lot and then when you
- 10:27type no 10 times it says you're you're
- 10:29expressing your thoughts in Spanish you
- 10:31can take your time to write this but
- 10:32when you realize that it doesn't
- 10:34actually matter you still get points I I
- 10:36lose incentives no no no no no no and
- 10:40that was dingo stories and it gives you
- 10:42some gems now what do you use gems for
- 10:45JA they're actually completely useless
- 10:47your boy has 100,000 gems there's no
- 10:49reason I would need these now I I really
- 10:51want to show you this audio section
- 10:53called carteros dados but I can't do
- 10:56that until I go to three more so give me
- 10:57a sec
- 10:59[Music]
- 11:01all right finally finished all the other
- 11:03lessons in between we now have the new
- 11:05audio lessons it's kind of like you're
- 11:07listening to a podcast there's not many
- 11:09questions to answer but they're good for
- 11:11listening
- 11:14comprehension
- 11:20hola all right one of the big projects
- 11:22people are going to be sharing with her
- 11:23today
- 11:29all
- 11:33right Pro
- 11:36projects is fun PES Petes packages and
- 11:39this one's going to bees or
- 11:42something yeah or
- 11:52something that's a weird
- 11:57idea so she wants to give postmen
- 12:00disguises
- 12:02costumes yeah
- 12:09why it'll make people
- 12:13smile yeah how do you plan
- 12:22work didn't work it was a bit of a
- 12:25idea that last bit m i could I could use
- 12:28to go over it again it was bit fast my
- 12:30my brain like stopped listening for a
- 12:31second and then oop I lost
- 12:33it it's pretty
- 12:40simple and there you go a very quick uh
- 12:43listening
- 12:44exercise look at that three times
- 12:46multiplier bing bang bomb no I am not
- 12:49doing any more dualingo today that's
- 12:52enough and that's roughly what the tail
- 12:53end of the B1 section of the dualingo
- 12:56path for Spanish looks like
- 12:59not bad right well I hope so I'll be
- 13:01going over this section in more detail
- 13:03in the next video in this series with
- 13:04more actionable tips for those using the
- 13:06app but I'd say from my experience
- 13:08progression in the language and overall
- 13:10comprehension has a sort of multiplier
- 13:13effect based on the amount of time you
- 13:15spend learning in my case within
- 13:17dualingo what I mean is some days you
- 13:20just don't have a lot of energy that's
- 13:21normal you might find it's 11:30 p.m.
- 13:23and you begrudgingly open the app just
- 13:25to maintain your streak and you do one 2
- 13:27to 5 minute lesson or maybe you just do
- 13:29a speaking exercise that requires the
- 13:30least amount of brain power and can be
- 13:32done in under minute obviously that's
- 13:34not going to help you progress that much
- 13:36I've had many of those days sometimes a
- 13:38week sometimes it's two weeks long where
- 13:39I'm just like ah can't be arsed can
- 13:42never pronounce that right way my
- 13:43British brain's like ared arst I can't
- 13:45be arst she moved to England and she
- 13:47picked up this fake British accent AR IR
- 13:50I can't be arst I feel like a perfect AR
- 13:54and those are the times where
- 13:56demotivation really kicks in the most
- 13:58because I'm not progressing that much I
- 14:00can tell and it's a vicious cycle where
- 14:02I know I'm not learning much I can feel
- 14:04that it means it everything is just more
- 14:06difficult my brain's not thinking in
- 14:07Spanish as often and I just get way more
- 14:09frustrated when I'm wrong however days
- 14:11where I prioritize ensuring I do 15 to
- 14:1330 minutes of learning a day really
- 14:15multiplies the effect of that time I
- 14:17find my mind way more in a Spanish space
- 14:20where I'm more able to quickly
- 14:22understand new concepts of grammar and
- 14:24vocabulary excitedly I go from saying
- 14:27why did I get that wrong to why did I
- 14:29get that wrong it's a very tiny tonal
- 14:31shift but for me a lot of the times it
- 14:33comes down to just making time for
- 14:35learning using dualingo in the morning
- 14:37as opposed to finding time for using in
- 14:39the evening it brings me back to why I
- 14:41started using dualingo over 8 years ago
- 14:44at my full-time job I had an hourlong
- 14:45lunch break and I wanted to use some of
- 14:47that time productively to work on myself
- 14:49as at the time I was just using my lunch
- 14:51breaks to play Smash Bros with my
- 14:53co-workers which to be fair is the only
- 14:55reason I've actually won so many
- 14:56tournaments but that's only impressive
- 14:58within a very small niche of of people
- 14:59the idea of putting in 15 minutes a day
- 15:02into learning a language and having that
- 15:03actually work over a long period of time
- 15:05wasn't a very exciting concept to me
- 15:07especially because it wasn't just that
- 15:09lunch break I had I also commuted an
- 15:10hour to and from work and so what else
- 15:12was I going to do with that time wasted
- 15:13on social media might as well do
- 15:15something productive and I found good
- 15:17success with that it kind of works
- 15:18similarly to the one minute rule for
- 15:20habit forming like in the book Atomic
- 15:22habits where James Clear explains the
- 15:24hardest part of any habit is simply
- 15:26showing up He suggests committing just
- 15:27one minute of effort because once you
- 15:29start it's just so much easier to keep
- 15:31going it's like kinetic versus static
- 15:33friction the trick is convincing your
- 15:35brain that all you need to do is just do
- 15:37one minute right just open the app just
- 15:38start one exercise or spend a single
- 15:40minute doing whatever thing you're
- 15:41trying to get into a habit of doing
- 15:43however the thing is after you do spend
- 15:45that minute you might as well just keep
- 15:47going right you already got momentum
- 15:48going you might as well just do another
- 15:50lesson it's that hard part of starting
- 15:52so if you can trick your brain into
- 15:54doing that get your brain out of the way
- 15:56just just start a little bit you'll find
- 15:57yourself learning a bit more and that's
- 15:59kind of been my experience with dualingo
- 16:01in general obviously not every single
- 16:03time I log into the app and learn
- 16:05something is going to be groundbreaking
- 16:06but it's showing up every single day and
- 16:08getting those consistent tiny wins that
- 16:10add up to getting those bigger
- 16:12breakthroughs not just like I said in
- 16:14Spanish but in a lot of the other things
- 16:16that I try and keep up
- 16:17[Music]
- 16:20with all right sure I have learned a lot
- 16:23within the app and I've shown you where
- 16:25I've been but what about a real
- 16:26conversation in Spanish outside of
- 16:29dualingo well somehow I'm in a lucky
- 16:31position where the large majority of
- 16:32people that I collect my packages and
- 16:34mail from speak Spanish so whenever I go
- 16:37to collect a package I get to practice a
- 16:39little bit it's not like I'm out here
- 16:40talking to my Postman about like our
- 16:42hopes and dreams and using complex
- 16:44sentences some saying things
- 16:47like I call this my Postman Spanish
- 16:50because it's it's all you really need to
- 16:51use to pick up a package just basic
- 16:53little sentences in German I have a very
- 16:55similar thing which I've dubbed my
- 16:57Baker's German because I can go into a
- 16:59German Baker have a full conversation
- 17:01with them about what it is I want I'm
- 17:03not even using like full sentences all
- 17:04the time but to me it's just so exciting
- 17:06to be able to use a language that is not
- 17:08my native tongue and the other person
- 17:09doesn't switch to English and that
- 17:11happens pretty much every time I go into
- 17:12a German Baker except of course that one
- 17:14time which I did make a video about but
- 17:15speaking of being in Germany I was
- 17:16recently in Berlin with my friend Dodie
- 17:18shooting a big future video on public
- 17:20transit very excited for that but at one
- 17:22point Dodie injured her foot so we
- 17:24couldn't really spend the day walking
- 17:25around Berlin we spent it at the spa a
- 17:28German Spa texti fry texti fry by the
- 17:30way means uh it's a it's a nude sauna
- 17:33all right it's a nude Spa it's Germany
- 17:35I'll tell some embarrassing stories in
- 17:36German for my video uh next week or so
- 17:39so stay tuned for that but I say to my
- 17:40masseuse in German what I'd like out of
- 17:42my massage and he says to me in English
- 17:44usually this is an upsetting thing
- 17:46doesn't want to use German with me but
- 17:48instead he says oh I'm sorry I I I Don't
- 17:51Know Much German like my German isn't
- 17:53great so I just replied with oh well AAS
- 17:56esbol to my utter Glee he responded
- 18:00see along with my excitement came you
- 18:03know the fear I've never actually used
- 18:05my Spanish before outside of small
- 18:07conversations with my Postman like was
- 18:09my Spanish going to be good enough to
- 18:10really hold a full conversation for 25
- 18:13minutes of a massage now those of you
- 18:14that are uh more sane than I are
- 18:16probably thinking Evan why would you
- 18:19need to have a full conversation aren't
- 18:20you like uh getting a massage where you
- 18:22know you sit in silence for 25 minutes
- 18:25maybe you make some grunts you just
- 18:27relax no not me honestly I could barely
- 18:31focus on how amazing this massage was
- 18:33because of how lit up my brain felt
- 18:35being able to communicate in Spanish
- 18:37effectively also I might have been off
- 18:39my tits that day but you know what it's
- 18:40went in Berlin all right anyway he's
- 18:42asking me questions about myself I ask
- 18:44questions about him his name is Paul
- 18:45he's born and raised in Mexico City he
- 18:47can speak not only Spanish but also noat
- 18:49which is the language of the Aztec
- 18:51empire his daughter got a really good
- 18:53job in Berlin 8 years ago and he came
- 18:54with her and has been working here ever
- 18:56since in Berlin listen it was probably
- 18:58the most grossed in a conversation I'd
- 19:00been in for so long and this is not an
- 19:02experience that I ever would have had
- 19:04had I not learned Spanish or tried using
- 19:07my Spanish to speak with him there were
- 19:09times in which obviously my Spanish
- 19:11would falter I just wouldn't know the
- 19:12right word I would slow down but I would
- 19:14know the right word in German so I just
- 19:17kept going back and forth between
- 19:19Spanish and bits of German and every
- 19:21time you would laugh because the
- 19:22Whiplash between switching from Spanish
- 19:24fully to random German words was just
- 19:26too funny but this also just made me
- 19:28feel even more great about this whole
- 19:30experience I'm switching between Spanish
- 19:32and German neither of which are my
- 19:33native language and it just felt like a
- 19:36huge pivotal like moment in my language
- 19:38learning Journey the same as when I was
- 19:40in Munich and I managed to get a haircut
- 19:42using only German I was terrified like
- 19:44oh God what if I say accidentally cut it
- 19:46all off or I only you know but I did it
- 19:49and it was that confidence boost I
- 19:50needed to make me feel like oh my God I
- 19:52I can do this I'd be formulating
- 19:54sentences and for the first time in my
- 19:56life I felt like I could actually make
- 19:59use of the more advanced grammar and
- 20:01sentence structure that I've been
- 20:02learning in the B1 section rather than
- 20:04sentences like I'm from America but I
- 20:06live in London now and I've lived in
- 20:08London for 12 years I was successfully
- 20:10throwing in things
- 20:21like YouTuber and then I'd say something
- 20:25like eay videos off YouTube well I know
- 20:27in German whoosh and I knew the he knew
- 20:29enough German to get that and it it was
- 20:30a very transformative massage towards
- 20:32the end when he had moved to my neck
- 20:34area where I really can't be talking he
- 20:37had to be
- 20:38like I was just really excited my
- 20:40Spanish had passed a really tough test
- 20:42and honestly the massage was pretty good
- 20:45my back felt pretty great later on in
- 20:46the day I also had lost uh my little
- 20:48wristband which allowed me to get my
- 20:50clothes back so I just have a robe on
- 20:52pretty much nude I run into this guy and
- 20:54I'm like my guy M Amigo and I managed to
- 20:57ask him for help in Spanish and didn't
- 20:59use English the whole time and it was
- 21:01just a really satisfying feeling all
- 21:03right so where are we at then well for
- 21:05my definition of fluency conversational
- 21:07fluency of being able to communicate in
- 21:09Spanish using little to no English I'd
- 21:11say I'm there now yes I'm making
- 21:13mistakes and no I'm absolutely nowhere
- 21:15near the C1 or C2 level of advanced
- 21:18native fluency but for me to be able to
- 21:21understand and be understood in a
- 21:23foreign language of my choice is my
- 21:25threshold uh for fluency and I'm just
- 21:27really excited not only about the fact
- 21:30that I'm here now but that I have so
- 21:31much more to learn there's no reason for
- 21:33me to feel like oh that's it fluency is
- 21:35a spectrum so many things these days are
- 21:36spectrum and that's why the whole CFR
- 21:38framework is cool you can have
- 21:39conversations with people at A1 A2 B1 B2
- 21:42obviously it gets more and more advanced
- 21:44but it's so exciting to be able to to
- 21:46see the progression and find yourself
- 21:49being successful in this thing that
- 21:50you've been putting in little bits of
- 21:51time for over so many years at some
- 21:53point I think it'd be a really fun idea
- 21:56to take an official test to like rank
- 21:58where my Spanish is seeing where the
- 21:59weak spots are and I'm almost tempted to
- 22:02wait until I finish the entire dualingo
- 22:04path at the end of the B2 section before
- 22:06doing that especially as I said outside
- 22:08of the basic Spanish I learned in the
- 22:10American public school system I've made
- 22:12an entire video about that there as an
- 22:14adult I've been 100% just using dualingo
- 22:17so it'll be really fascinating to see
- 22:18how I do on that test given my
- 22:20circumstances so to succinctly answer
- 22:21the title can I speak Spanish with 2,000
- 22:24days of dualingo I would say yes but
- 22:26also important to note I probably would
- 22:28have said the same thing at a thousand
- 22:30days I'll be it at a much lower level
- 22:31I'm not really a gatekeeper I'm a gate
- 22:33opener okay so no matter where you are
- 22:35in your language learning Journey the
- 22:37one thing I hope you can take away from
- 22:38this video is this learning language is
- 22:40not a race don't let someone bully you
- 22:42cuz you're slow and steady you're
- 22:43learning if you're just using some spare
- 22:45time you've got in your day to figure
- 22:47out a language hell yeah I know dualingo
- 22:50is not the fastest way of learning a
- 22:51language I know there are more efficient
- 22:53ways but it's just an easy thing I can
- 22:55just kind of throw in during my day and
- 22:57it for me has had huge benefits learning
- 22:59a language is not a race don't worry
- 23:01about it taking a long time if you're
- 23:03only putting small amounts of time in
- 23:04some days you're going to have a lot of
- 23:05time some days you're not as long as you
- 23:07show up you take your time you'll get
- 23:09there if anything it's more like
- 23:11planting and tending to a garden as long
- 23:13as you show up consistently you know not
- 23:15only are you going to be able to harvest
- 23:16the fruits of your labor in the future
- 23:17but you'll find joy in the process of
- 23:19growing and nurturing everything along
- 23:20the way even if that does sound a bit
- 23:23wanky this is also just so similar to my
- 23:25story on YouTube and how I've uploaded a
- 23:26video every single Sunday and I started
- 23:28doing that over 10 years ago but the
- 23:30consistency is really where most of my
- 23:32growth has come from I've never really
- 23:34had a viral video that blew up and I got
- 23:37lots of subscribers from it's just every
- 23:40week I've always shown up I've always
- 23:42uploaded something different and slowly
- 23:44grew from there and one day I will
- 23:45hopefully hit that 1 million subscriber
- 23:47threshold just by being consistent I
- 23:50suppose so thank you for being
- 23:51consistent with me and joining me on
- 23:53this journey hopefully I will see you
- 23:54here next Sunday or uh here if the video
- 23:57is already up so I'll see you there
- 23:59thanks for watching goodbye
