I COPIED a YouTube Channel for 30 Days and Went VIRAL — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00This YouTube channel generates $5,000
- 0:02per month, and I want that. So, for the
- 0:04next 30 days, I'm copying that exact
- 0:06style of content to get the same
- 0:08results. But for this to work, we need
- 0:11to start today. Selecting the niche. The
- 0:15YouTube channel that we are taking
- 0:16inspiration from creates these Minecraft
- 0:18animations. And just filtering by recent
- 0:21shorts, you can see they are
- 0:22consistently getting millions of views.
- 0:24But I don't think entering this
- 0:25Minecraft niche would be a good idea
- 0:27though because from my research I have
- 0:29found that it's being dominated by
- 0:31established channels all uploading
- 0:33similar content. What I think we can do
- 0:35here though is take the existing viral
- 0:36video topics from the Minecraft channels
- 0:39and then apply them to the most popular
- 0:40topic in the world which is football.
- 0:42But there is one big issue governing
- 0:44this entire process. I don't know how to
- 0:46animate. But this is where my boy NSR
- 0:49comes in. He is my animator and we have
- 0:52formed a partnership and this entire
- 0:54plan should allow the channel to go
- 0:56viral. Opening the channel. The YouTube
- 1:00channel that we are using is an account
- 1:01that was made in 2017. You don't need
- 1:04one this old, but one of the keys that
- 1:06you need to follow if you want to get
- 1:08views on your first upload is that you
- 1:10must use an account that you have been
- 1:11active on for at least 1 week. So, since
- 1:14our channel is old, we need to give it
- 1:15an update. Firstly, the channel name.
- 1:18I'm going to come over to ChattyPT
- 1:20because I have no idea what to call this
- 1:22one. And I'm just going to give it a
- 1:23simple description of our channel now.
- 1:25Okay. I do like this one here, which is
- 1:27foot motion because it's a blend of
- 1:29football and animation. And as you would
- 1:31expect with YouTube, it is not
- 1:33available. What I like to do if it's not
- 1:35available is just add a real at the end.
- 1:37And yeah, it's available. So, let's roll
- 1:39with that. Okay. Now, the next step is
- 1:41channel assets, which is our profile
- 1:43picture and banner. Let me pull up
- 1:44Photoshop and we will get it done. All I
- 1:47did was type out the channel name for
- 1:49the profile picture and wrote subscribe
- 1:51on the banner. I only spent 5 minutes
- 1:53creating these because neither of these
- 1:55impact your channel's performance. So, I
- 1:57just finished the final step, which was
- 2:00to upload the profile picture and banner
- 2:02to the channel. One of the things I also
- 2:04wanted to show you was the channel
- 2:05dashboard where it reads zero
- 2:07subscribers. That is definitely a scary
- 2:10site, but let's keep moving. Short
- 2:13creation. We need to create a short to
- 2:16upload and from my end it's just going
- 2:18to be creation of the video topic and
- 2:20then some basic editing after the
- 2:22animation is complete. So let's get into
- 2:24it. I went to established channels and
- 2:26got inspiration to create a story board
- 2:28that my animator could follow. Within
- 2:30the story board, I gave a general scene
- 2:32design and then made a retentionbased
- 2:35story based on the examples I found. And
- 2:37in the early stages of creating the
- 2:39storyboard, I found out this
- 2:41information. So, I just found three
- 2:43animated football channels that we are
- 2:45going into competition with, but not
- 2:47really. One of them is no longer active
- 2:49in the football niche, but at one stage,
- 2:51they were going viral. Then, we have
- 2:54this channel here. They are uploading
- 2:55way too frequently, and it's to the
- 2:57point that it's hurting the channel's
- 2:59performance. And really, as you can see,
- 3:01their quality isn't the best either. And
- 3:03finally, we have Skippers. They are
- 3:05uploading once a week. Their quality is
- 3:07great, and they are very creative with
- 3:09their video topics. Even though I could
- 3:11only find these three channels, we are
- 3:14only really competing with skippers
- 3:15here. And I wouldn't say he's dominating
- 3:17this niche either. So there is still
- 3:19room for us to perform well. And as a
- 3:21side note to this, this type of
- 3:23competitor analysis should have been
- 3:25done even before we decided on football
- 3:27animations. Okay, so all the research
- 3:29into the niche and then creating the
- 3:31storyboard took me just under 25 minutes
- 3:35to complete. I kept the storyboard quite
- 3:37basic because your first short is always
- 3:40just a test for the algorithm. There is
- 3:42no point spending a lot of time making
- 3:44your first short. Your first upload is
- 3:47always a test for YouTube to initially
- 3:49find the audience that engages best with
- 3:51your content. It's always by the second,
- 3:53third, or fourth upload that you
- 3:55actually start going viral. Okay, but to
- 3:58finish up today, I have just sent off
- 4:00the storyboard to the animator and I
- 4:02will update you when it's complete.
- 4:06Day two. Okay, so the animator did get
- 4:09back to me with the first animation
- 4:11already and I am very surprised at how
- 4:14fast that was. And the thing is I do not
- 4:16know how good this animator is at this
- 4:18point yet. We did meet through my
- 4:20private coaching because he did want me
- 4:22to review his channel which was creating
- 4:24shorts like this. And I'll press play
- 4:26for you now. And you probably do
- 4:28recognize this style of short because he
- 4:30did pick inspiration from a very popular
- 4:32channel. But as you could imagine,
- 4:34because the niche is so saturated, he
- 4:36did get terrible results. Once again,
- 4:38competitive research is very important.
- 4:41Anyway though, let's have a look at what
- 4:43he sent me
- 4:48together. Okay, I'm not going to lie. I
- 4:51want to pause that there. I'm already
- 4:54very impressed with the quality. Let me
- 4:55pull this up onto my computer now, and
- 4:57I'll get started doing my part. It was
- 5:00now my turn to put in some work. I first
- 5:02started off by opening Premiere Pro,
- 5:04which is my video editor. Then I dragged
- 5:06in the animation from my animator. I
- 5:08then got on to adding sound effects
- 5:09throughout the short. Then finally, a
- 5:11music track. And this took me just over
- 5:1315 minutes of editing time. Overall, the
- 5:16animator nailed my storyboard and
- 5:18brought all my ideas to life. At this
- 5:20point, I've never done anything like
- 5:21this with YouTube automation, and it
- 5:23does feel amazing not having to do every
- 5:25single component by myself.
- 5:30Okay, so the short is exported to my
- 5:32desktop from Premiere Pro and I'm going
- 5:34to drag it up to YouTube now and upload
- 5:36it. For titles, you always want to name
- 5:38it something related to your short. So
- 5:40I'm going to call this help Ronaldo save
- 5:44messy. And then I'm going to come up to
- 5:45Google here and get to emojis. There we
- 5:48go. Now for descriptions, I just like to
- 5:50rename the title and then add a hashtag
- 5:52shorts. And you always want to select
- 5:54that this content is not made for kids
- 5:56so you don't end up on YouTube kids.
- 5:58Now, for tags, these are especially
- 6:00important if it's your first upload. So,
- 6:02I'm just going to come down now and just
- 6:04add a couple that are relevant to my
- 6:05niche, which is football. Okay, that's
- 6:07it. You really don't need to worry about
- 6:09optimizing any of these upload settings.
- 6:11Everything basic just like this is
- 6:13perfect. Okay, now finally, let's press
- 6:15upload and let's see how this
- 6:17goes. Day three. It's been just under 24
- 6:21hours since uploading our first short
- 6:23and I have some results to show you. We
- 6:25got 2500 views and 75 subscribers. These
- 6:28are not the best results yet, but we are
- 6:30starting to get our second big push. So,
- 6:32as long as we don't flatline anytime
- 6:34soon, we will be okay. I'm about to hop
- 6:36on a call with the animator and I will
- 6:38let you know how that goes. We discussed
- 6:40the performance of the short and how I
- 6:42think we can approach the next short
- 6:43differently because looking back to the
- 6:45first day, I was lazy.
- 6:49I just took exactly what worked for an
- 6:51old competitor without putting in any of
- 6:53my creativity. And the entire plan was
- 6:56to take inspiration from the Minecraft
- 6:58channels, not our competitors. So, this
- 7:00time I went into detail with my animator
- 7:03about how we're going to use this
- 7:04Minecraft short where characters are
- 7:06trying to lift up Thor's hammer. We are
- 7:08going to recreate this short by
- 7:10replacing the characters with football
- 7:12players, replacing any relevant objects,
- 7:14and finally changing the scene to a
- 7:16football stadium. I just finished the
- 7:18call and that did take 30 minutes. The
- 7:20main theme of that call was that YouTube
- 7:22shorts is completely broken. This new
- 7:24short that we are taking inspiration
- 7:26from reached 80 million views, which
- 7:29means there was something inherently
- 7:31viral about this short. Whether it was
- 7:33the hook, the editing, the pacing, the
- 7:35payoff, there was something that clicked
- 7:37with viewers at a mass scale. This is
- 7:39why taking the core components of a
- 7:41viral short and taking it to a different
- 7:43niche is a failproof way to go viral.
- 7:46Well, at least it should work.
- 7:47Theoretically, we're going to find this
- 7:49out. Regardless of this though, I will
- 7:51be monitoring the first shorts
- 7:52performance over the coming days, and I
- 7:54will update you when the animator gets
- 7:57back to me with the second
- 7:59animation. Day six. I just received the
- 8:03second animation for our second short,
- 8:05and I have been monitoring the first
- 8:06short's performance. It's now sitting at
- 8:0915,000 views since we got this push
- 8:11after the first 24 hours. Overall, this
- 8:14performance so far does help validate
- 8:16that our niche is one worth pursuing.
- 8:18Because if our shorts performance over
- 8:19the last few days look like this, we
- 8:22would know that either our niche is just
- 8:24too saturated or there's just no
- 8:25audience on YouTube interested in our
- 8:27content. Coming back to look over the
- 8:29second short now, and it looks great.
- 8:31Once again, he really perfected exactly
- 8:33what I told him to do with this short.
- 8:35And it is now a perfect time to finish
- 8:37this short with sound effects and upload
- 8:39it. Because even though our first short
- 8:41got 15,000 views, it has now flatlined,
- 8:44which means uploading this new short
- 8:46won't affect its performance. This time
- 8:48around, I just downloaded the sound from
- 8:50the example we followed because we are
- 8:52taking the exact same pacing from the
- 8:54Minecraft short. And I also added a few
- 8:56more sound effects throughout where I
- 8:57thought it was lacking. To finish off, I
- 8:59exported the short in the best possible
- 9:01settings and went to upload it. Once
- 9:03again, I named the short something
- 9:05relevant, rewarded the title for the
- 9:07description, did basic tags, and that
- 9:09was it. It was uploaded. Okay, so I just
- 9:13got a burst of excitement because the
- 9:16short is now uploaded. And I am very
- 9:18excited to see how this one is going to
- 9:20perform because we are following a much
- 9:22more systematic approach to the video
- 9:24topic this time and the views should
- 9:27reflect this. Anyway though, I will
- 9:29update you once we start to get traction
- 9:31on the
- 9:32short. Day eight. It's been 2 days since
- 9:36uploading our second short, and it has
- 9:38been pushed to over 23,000 views, and so
- 9:40far we have gained 283 subscribers from
- 9:43this short. You can see on the right
- 9:44here, we are getting anywhere from 500
- 9:46to 200 views per hour. Coming over to
- 9:49our comments now, you can see we are
- 9:51starting to receive them, which means
- 9:52that we are engaging with the right
- 9:54audience. And overall, seeing our
- 9:56channel's growth between the two uploads
- 9:58is a very positive sign. And at this
- 10:00stage, our second short could still
- 10:02break out and go viral. And I am
- 10:04monitoring that by referring to the
- 10:06hourly candles on the right hand side.
- 10:08If they start going up every hour
- 10:10consecutively, that is a sign that we
- 10:12will go viral. But if we start to see
- 10:14sustained flat candles or decreasing
- 10:17candles, that is when we will upload our
- 10:19next short. And we have started working
- 10:21towards our third short because we did
- 10:23have a call 1 hour ago where we
- 10:25discussed our next step forward.
- 10:27Essentially, we are repeating the same
- 10:29process as before where we take
- 10:30inspiration directly from the Minecraft
- 10:33channel. The short that we are using
- 10:34this time though has reached 46 million
- 10:36views and it's a very simple concept.
- 10:38It's just characters tapping the other
- 10:40person in front of them and doing a
- 10:42dance to a song. And the payoff at the
- 10:43end is this last character getting
- 10:45revenge on the person before them. Just
- 10:47like last time, we will be doing
- 10:49relevant changes to football, but at a
- 10:50fundamental level, it's going to be the
- 10:52same short. Anyway though, I'm going to
- 10:54continue to monitor this short, and I
- 10:56will update you when the third short is
- 11:00complete. It's day 10 now, and I have
- 11:03some unfortunate news. The second short
- 11:06has now flatlined at 25,000 views. On
- 11:09the positive side though, I have gotten
- 11:11the third shot back, and we are about to
- 11:13upload it. Watching it back right now,
- 11:14it is very addictive. It might look a
- 11:17bit boring to you because I can't play
- 11:19it back with the sound, otherwise I will
- 11:21get copyrighted on the video that you're
- 11:22watching right now, but take my word for
- 11:24it. The sound completes this. But one
- 11:26thing that sticks out to me as a
- 11:28potential negative is its length. It's
- 11:30currently 26 seconds, and comparing that
- 11:33to my two other shorts, it's going to be
- 11:35by far the shortest. If you did not
- 11:37know, creating longer short form content
- 11:38does give you an advantage because you
- 11:40can get higher watch time, which is the
- 11:42most important metric across every
- 11:44single platform. But even though I've
- 11:46been concerned about this, I have been
- 11:47constantly reminding myself here that we
- 11:49are taking inspiration from a short that
- 11:51has 46 million views. So if their short
- 11:54could get 46 million views with 26
- 11:56seconds, that is good enough for me.
- 11:58Anyway though, I have gone ahead and
- 12:00done all the upload settings for this
- 12:02short using the exact same process that
- 12:03I followed for the first two shorts. And
- 12:05finally, let's press upload and hope
- 12:07this one does
- 12:09well. Day 11. Our latest short is
- 12:12sitting at 14,000 views. One thing I
- 12:15want to show you though is by looking at
- 12:17our second short. It reached 4,800 views
- 12:19in the first 24 hours. And remember this
- 12:22number because when I come back to our
- 12:24most recent short, you will see we are
- 12:26already at 14,000 views. And the first
- 12:2824 hours isn't even complete yet. And
- 12:30this is relevant because the short that
- 12:32got 4,800 views in the first 24 hours is
- 12:35now at 26,000 views. which means our
- 12:38most recent short is outperforming our
- 12:40highs viewed significantly. And the best
- 12:42part is it doesn't look like it's
- 12:43slowing down. Even though these hourly
- 12:45candles look pretty flat, we are still
- 12:47being pushed every hour into the shorts
- 12:49feed. And I do expect these hourly
- 12:50candles to start picking up once again.
- 12:52And to wrap up today's update, the
- 12:54channel is now sitting at just under
- 12:561,000 subscribers, which is our first
- 12:58big milestone for reaching monetization.
- 13:01So, we are finally making steps towards
- 13:02that $5,000 per month mark.
- 13:06Day 13. So, I've just been chilling out
- 13:08today until I just checked our
- 13:10analytics. I'm not sure how well you can
- 13:12see that, but we are starting to go
- 13:13viral. We are just under 80,000 views on
- 13:16our most recent short. And even though
- 13:18this growth to 80,000 views is already
- 13:20insane, if I come into our real-time
- 13:21chart, you can see how things are just
- 13:23going crazy. This is the type of
- 13:25exponential growth that I was telling
- 13:26you about. And it's almost at a point
- 13:28now where it's almost 10,000 views per
- 13:30hour. At this point, it just looks bad
- 13:32in videos like this when results come
- 13:34this easy. And if you have created
- 13:36shorts before, chances are you didn't
- 13:38get results this fast. One of the keys
- 13:40that you need to master is what niche
- 13:42you're entering and what video topics
- 13:44you are creating. That is why at the
- 13:45start of the videos, you see me spending
- 13:47so much time on formulating my niche.
- 13:49Because it's one of the main ways that
- 13:51you can guarantee success without having
- 13:53to upload over 30 shorts. It's been 3
- 13:56hours since we spoke last and the short
- 13:58has officially broken 100,000 views. And
- 14:00coming over to our alley candles now,
- 14:02you can see that we're continuing that
- 14:04exponential pattern and we actually
- 14:06broke more than 10,000 views per hour.
- 14:08And the best part is it does not look
- 14:10like it's slowing down anytime soon. And
- 14:12finally, we have doubled our subscriber
- 14:15count. Day 14. Our latest short is now
- 14:19sitting at 300,000 views. Let me just
- 14:22come into our chart now so you can get a
- 14:24detailed look. And you can see that last
- 14:26night we got one big push, but now
- 14:27things are starting to slow down. This
- 14:29is because when your content starts to
- 14:31get as many views as this, your channel
- 14:33starts to become sensitive to what time
- 14:34of day it is. Where I live, typically at
- 14:37night, I get more views. Like last
- 14:38night, the short got 27,000 views in
- 14:41just 1 hour. But now, the hour is 11:00
- 14:44a.m., which means it's starting to slow
- 14:45down. But most importantly, we aren't
- 14:47flatlining here. Even though the short
- 14:49so far has exceeded my expectations, we
- 14:52need to continue this momentum and start
- 14:54creating our next short. During the
- 14:55evening, I got on a call with the
- 14:57animator to discuss our next short. I
- 14:59did some more research into the
- 15:00Minecraft niche, and I found this short
- 15:02that has over 128 million views. This
- 15:05short is much more complex than all of
- 15:07our previous shorts, and it has a story
- 15:09line behind it. Essentially, it's just
- 15:11multiple characters drawing an object,
- 15:13which is the rising action, and then the
- 15:15short reaches a climax where this
- 15:17character performs poorly, and the final
- 15:19resolution is this last character
- 15:20transforming and getting revenge. So,
- 15:23this short has everything needed to go
- 15:25viral except for the hook, but I'll let
- 15:27you judge that for
- 15:29yourself. Finally, on the call, we
- 15:32touched on the shorts performance, and
- 15:33we could not be more happier because
- 15:35it's now just under half a million
- 15:37views. And as we discussed on the call,
- 15:39the best part is we are only three
- 15:41shorts into this. Jack Craig coaching.
- 15:45Over the next 90 days, if you want to
- 15:47start your own YouTube shorts channel
- 15:49and gain 10 million views and start
- 15:51earning a full-time income, you can get
- 15:53access to my private coaching. And just
- 15:55like you have seen in this video so far,
- 15:57I get results. Take Carlos, a 9 to-ive
- 16:00office worker who joined my coaching
- 16:02with zero experience. And after 45 days
- 16:04in my program, he began generating over
- 16:061 million views per day. And his channel
- 16:09is now generating more money than his
- 16:11day job. Or take Aaron for example. He
- 16:13is 13 years old and when he joined my
- 16:15coaching, his channel was struggling to
- 16:17even hit 10,000 views. Fast forward to
- 16:19the end of my 90 days of coaching and he
- 16:21is now making over £3,000 per month.
- 16:24That is over £4,000 USD at 13 years of
- 16:27age. Results like these are achievable
- 16:29with my coaching because you get access
- 16:31to weekly calls with myself where I will
- 16:33sit down with you and give you personal
- 16:35content strategies, editing audits,
- 16:37channel audits, and give you the answers
- 16:39to make your channel go viral. And in
- 16:41between these weekly calls, you will get
- 16:43access to a private chat where you can
- 16:45ask me any questions around the clock.
- 16:47This is just the start of what's
- 16:48included in my coaching. Like for
- 16:50example, you get access to my proven
- 16:52unreleased niche guides that are
- 16:54completely untapped. And I always test
- 16:56the niches myself or give you real data
- 16:58to prove why they will work. Because as
- 17:00you've probably realized from watching
- 17:01this video, going viral fast comes down
- 17:04to one main thing, positioning your
- 17:06channel in the right niche. Now, besides
- 17:08Aaron's and Carlos results, there are
- 17:10also numerous more listed on my website
- 17:12from students who have completed my
- 17:14coaching. Each student testimonial is
- 17:16backed by their real dashboards because,
- 17:18as you've probably seen from this video
- 17:19so far, I am all about getting results.
- 17:22On my website linked below, you'll get a
- 17:24full breakdown on everything included in
- 17:26my coaching. And by just scrolling
- 17:28through, you'll see how my coaching is
- 17:29the most proven and complete out
- 17:33there. Day 15. Let me give you a quick
- 17:36update on how the channel is doing.
- 17:38Firstly, the channel has reached 8,000
- 17:40subscribers. Our short is sitting at
- 17:42just under 700,000 views, and we are
- 17:44still getting very strong pushes into
- 17:46the shorts feed, as shown by the hourly
- 17:48candles. And for our two other shorts,
- 17:50they are going okay, but nothing
- 17:52amazing. The highlight between the two
- 17:54is obviously our second short, which is
- 17:56at 34,000 views. And to be honest,
- 17:58looking at this chart now, it is much
- 18:00more positive than I thought. But coming
- 18:02back to the channel now, it's now time
- 18:04to upload our new short that we began
- 18:06creating yesterday. We had a very quick
- 18:08turnaround on this because we are both
- 18:10extremely motivated to continue our
- 18:12momentum. Once again, there is no
- 18:13secrets with uploading and we don't need
- 18:15to use any fancy tools. And one habit
- 18:18that I want you to start doing is
- 18:19watching your short back in this little
- 18:21player. I cannot tell you how many times
- 18:22I've watched my short back and there's
- 18:24been an error that I found. Anyway, I
- 18:26think everything looks good here. Let's
- 18:28upload it and I will update you on the
- 18:30short when we start to get some
- 18:32results. Day 16. I cannot make this up.
- 18:36The short has received 121 views in the
- 18:39last 16 hours. What is going on here?
- 18:42What is concerning about this is our
- 18:44real-time views here. We have only
- 18:46gotten 12% of our views from the shorts
- 18:48feed. Whereas it should be our highest
- 18:50viewed traffic source. It should not be
- 18:52channel pages. We are getting this
- 18:54traffic from our channel pages because
- 18:56our highest viewed short is now just
- 18:58under 900,000 views. And really, this
- 19:01has me puzzled for now as to the exact
- 19:03reason why this short is at 121 views.
- 19:07Our last short is almost at a million
- 19:09views. It should not be like this. I've
- 19:11spent the last 30 minutes trying to wrap
- 19:13my head around what is going on. And
- 19:15despite these bad results, I know this
- 19:17short can go viral. Because don't
- 19:19forget, we are using the exact same
- 19:20process that worked for our previous
- 19:22short that is now sitting at just under
- 19:25900,000 views. But why did this short
- 19:27get 121 views? Well, I have broken it
- 19:31down into three possible different
- 19:33reasons. The first being inappropriate
- 19:35scenes. You can see at this part of the
- 19:37short, Mbappe is using his waist to
- 19:39draw, which could be deemed as
- 19:41inappropriate from YouTube's censorship
- 19:43AI. But considering that the original
- 19:45short had the same movement, this
- 19:46probably isn't one of the reasons. The
- 19:48second reason, sound effects. Towards
- 19:50the end of the short on the soundtrack,
- 19:52there are sound effects which were taken
- 19:53from a popular movie. And YouTube is
- 19:55very strict about anything being taken
- 19:57from TV shows or movies as written in
- 19:59their shorts policy. But again, we took
- 20:01this soundtrack straight from the
- 20:03example short, so there should be no
- 20:04issues here. The third reason, YouTube
- 20:06is only prioritizing our viral short and
- 20:08not giving any attention to our new
- 20:10uploads. If you have watched my videos
- 20:11before, you know I tell you to give your
- 20:13shorts time to perform so you don't push
- 20:15them off the shorts feed. And looking
- 20:17back, we may have gotten ahead of
- 20:18ourselves and tried to rush things. And
- 20:20based on these reasons, I am deleting
- 20:22this short. But do not get me wrong
- 20:24here. I am not giving up on this short
- 20:26yet because I know the potential we have
- 20:29with it. If you are ever deleting shorts
- 20:30though, you need to be careful. You
- 20:32cannot re-upload your short without any
- 20:34changes. Otherwise, you will shadowban
- 20:36your account. and I'm going to make
- 20:38changes to our short to address the
- 20:39first two issues behind why our short is
- 20:42getting no views. Firstly, it was just
- 20:44removing the two parts that had sound
- 20:45effects from the movie and then sending
- 20:47a recording to my animator asking him to
- 20:50change the scene where Mbappe was
- 20:51drawing with his waist. He was online
- 20:53and fixed it straight away. So, I have
- 20:55fixed the first two issues and I am
- 20:57deciding to now go ahead and re-upload
- 20:59the short. Re-uploading the short now
- 21:01will allow us to isolate our issue to
- 21:03just YouTube not pushing our short. So,
- 21:05let's go ahead and press upload. And
- 21:07let's hope now that we can get pushed
- 21:08into the shorts
- 21:10feed. Day 17. It's been just over 24
- 21:14hours since re-uploading that short and
- 21:16I have not checked the results yet
- 21:18because to be honest with you, I have
- 21:20been scared to check. Anyway, let's have
- 21:22a look at this for the first time
- 21:24together. I'll come up and press shorts
- 21:26and we'll have a look.
- 21:29Now, I don't want to look.
- 21:35189 views. I mean, yeah, 189 views is
- 21:38slightly better than our last result,
- 21:40but as you can imagine, this still means
- 21:42we did not get pushed into the shorts
- 21:44feed. At least on the bright side here,
- 21:46our third short has surpassed 1 million
- 21:48views, which is obviously a great
- 21:50result. But seriously though, how can we
- 21:51get 1 million views and not even 1,000
- 21:54views on our fourth short? But at least
- 21:56now we have a better idea of exactly why
- 21:58this short is not getting views.
- 22:00Originally, we came up with those three
- 22:01possible reasons, and we solved the
- 22:03first two. Meaning that now we believe
- 22:05it's just because YouTube is
- 22:07prioritizing our viral short. Well, at
- 22:09least we think so. There could be some
- 22:11issue with the channel that we don't
- 22:12know about yet, but at this point, I
- 22:14really doubt this. What I'm going to do
- 22:16next is delete the short once again. And
- 22:18I'm going to wait this time until our
- 22:20viral short starts to slow down by
- 22:22monitoring the real-time view
- 22:25candles. Day 18. The short is finally
- 22:29starting to slow down where last night
- 22:31we did not get our usual push to 10,000
- 22:33views per hour. So, it is now a good
- 22:36time to upload. And that is what I'm
- 22:38going to do right now. Something that I
- 22:40have not spoken to you about yet is this
- 22:42new short here. My animator and I did
- 22:44decide to create this new short last
- 22:46night because we just want to be certain
- 22:48that there is no issues with our
- 22:49channel. This new short is very basic
- 22:51though. It's essentially football
- 22:53players singing and they get a reward
- 22:55based on their score from this bar.
- 22:56Eventually, this last player comes up,
- 22:58but he does not perform well. And then
- 23:00there's a call to action, and then he
- 23:02finally beats everyone. And this short
- 23:03that we got inspiration from has 13
- 23:06million views. As I mentioned though,
- 23:08this short is very basic. And I don't
- 23:10think this short will perform
- 23:11particularly well, but that is not the
- 23:13goal here. It's to see if our channel is
- 23:15broken. I have completed the upload
- 23:17settings now. And let's see if we do get
- 23:19some pushes into the short speed. Have a
- 23:21look at this. Ready? The short we just
- 23:22uploaded 2 hours ago is now at 200
- 23:25views, which means we did get pushed
- 23:28into the shorts feed, which is what we
- 23:30have been struggling to get. And we were
- 23:31correct in saying that YouTube was just
- 23:33busy with pushing our viral short. So,
- 23:35as you can tell, I am very relieved now.
- 23:38And I'm also very excited because we now
- 23:40have the opportunity to push our short
- 23:43that we think has
- 23:45potential. Day 20. We have now flatlined
- 23:48at 15,000 views and the short did gain
- 23:51us 200 subscribers. As you can see,
- 23:53these are not the best results, but I do
- 23:56not care. All that matters here is that
- 23:58we got pushed into the shorts feed. What
- 24:00we really care about is this short here,
- 24:02which we are going to upload today. I am
- 24:04planning to completely redo the
- 24:06soundtrack. And this isn't because I
- 24:08think there's something wrong with it.
- 24:09We just need to make some change to it
- 24:11so YouTube does not think we are
- 24:13re-uploading the same short and
- 24:14potentially shadowban us. That evening,
- 24:17I worked on recreating the sound effects
- 24:19throughout the short and added a
- 24:20different soundtrack. And all of that
- 24:22editing did take me just over 10
- 24:24minutes. After making those changes, it
- 24:26is now time to upload the short. And
- 24:29even though I have been very confident
- 24:31about this short, I am nervous to upload
- 24:33it because it's day 20 of the challenge
- 24:35and I do not want to get to the end of
- 24:37the 30 days and only have one viral
- 24:39short. I want you to see that firsthand.
- 24:41YouTube shorts and really any type of
- 24:43content can be approached with a
- 24:45methodical mindset where you are not
- 24:47throwing ideas against a wall until they
- 24:49stick. Anyway, let's press upload now
- 24:52and let's hope that YouTube actually
- 24:53gives this short a chance because once
- 24:55again, I know the potential we have with
- 24:57this one. At least I think I
- 24:59do. Day 21, 5,000 views on our latest
- 25:04short. I know that this is not many
- 25:06views yet, but I am excited because
- 25:08YouTube is finally pushing this short.
- 25:10So, be excited with me. Anyway, coming
- 25:13back to the overall analytics, it is
- 25:15performing a 2 out of five and it's only
- 25:17just behind our viral short, which is
- 25:20now at 1.2 million views. Only time is
- 25:23going to tell now. So, let's see what is
- 25:25going to happen. It's been just over 12
- 25:28hours since we spoke last, and we are
- 25:29currently at 14,000 views. And if I come
- 25:32into the chart, you will see how
- 25:34positive it is looking. Our views did
- 25:36start to flatten out after the last
- 25:38update I gave you. But now we are
- 25:40starting to get a big push coming out of
- 25:42the first 24 hours. I will keep you
- 25:44updated on how this short goes over the
- 25:46coming
- 25:47days. Day 23, 35,000 views. I told you
- 25:52that it would work. It's the best
- 25:54feeling when you know something is going
- 25:56to work based on your experience and it
- 25:58actually pays off. And based on my
- 26:00experience, when shorts start to perform
- 26:02like this after the first 48 hours,
- 26:05there is only one place where your
- 26:06shorts end up, which is getting millions
- 26:09of views. So, I am so excited to see
- 26:11where this short is going to end up over
- 26:13the coming days. So, the view chart is
- 26:15now a straight line just going up.
- 26:18Something that's very interesting I want
- 26:19to show you is by coming to the current
- 26:21time. It is just after 6:30 and our
- 26:24views per hour is already at 4,000
- 26:26views, which means this short could
- 26:28already be at 10,000 views per hour. And
- 26:31this goes to show that you should
- 26:32believe in yourself and not doubt
- 26:34yourself. And even though it may not
- 26:36have looked like it, I was extremely
- 26:37discouraged after seeing the second
- 26:39upload with no pushes into the shorts
- 26:41feed. But if I originally stuck to my
- 26:43principle of giving shorts time to
- 26:45breathe, we wouldn't have had this issue
- 26:47to begin with. So, to conclude here, try
- 26:49not to let your emotions get to you when
- 26:51things are going well and not so
- 26:55well. It's the last day of the 30-day
- 26:58period, so it's time to reveal where we
- 27:00got the channel to. Over the last 30
- 27:01days, we gained 37,000 subscribers and
- 27:04reached 3.4 million views. I am proud of
- 27:07how we performed here, but there is an
- 27:09elephant in the room. We failed to meet
- 27:11our goal of earning at least $5,000 by
- 27:13copying the Minecraft channel. With that
- 27:15said, I still consider this channel a
- 27:17success because it's clearly on the path
- 27:19to reaching that target. We've already
- 27:21hit the first stage of monetization and
- 27:23with more effort and perhaps a more
- 27:25realistic time frame, hitting $10,000
- 27:27per month with this channel is very
- 27:29achievable. Looking a bit deeper now,
- 27:30our latest short, the one we've been
- 27:32tracking, has now hit 1.6 million views.
- 27:36What's especially promising with this
- 27:37short is that it's bringing in a large
- 27:39number of new viewers, as shown by this
- 27:41blue line here. It's an important sign
- 27:43of healthy growth because it means the
- 27:45channel isn't just relying upon our
- 27:47first viral short, which is currently at
- 27:491.7 million views. I do expect our newer
- 27:52viral short to surpass the first one in
- 27:54the coming days because you need to
- 27:56remember it has a 10day head start. You
- 27:58wouldn't have seen this top short here.
- 27:59I published it a few days ago and I
- 28:02didn't update you about it because at
- 28:03the time it was day 26 and I felt that
- 28:06the challenge was already over at that
- 28:08point. So, I didn't think much of it.
- 28:10But as you can see, it's starting to
- 28:11gain a decent amount of views. And I
- 28:13think with a bit more time, this short
- 28:15has potential to perform really well.
- 28:17Something that has been reinforced to me
- 28:19while running this channel is that in
- 28:20the early days of running a shorts
- 28:22channel, it's an incredibly passive
- 28:23process. We're uploading frequently if
- 28:25you're not giving your shorts time to
- 28:27breathe does in fact hurt your shorts
- 28:29performance. Obviously, this channel
- 28:30would not have been possible without my
- 28:32animator, but don't use this as an
- 28:34excuse as to why you aren't seeing
- 28:36results or why you cannot get started
- 28:38creating content today. And you don't
- 28:40need a complex niche like mine that
- 28:42requires an animator to start. Every
- 28:44single channel that I have blown up in
- 28:46the past has been with no animators, no
- 28:48outsourcing, just myself putting in the
- 28:50work. And in my last video, you saw
- 28:52this. I took a channel from zero views
- 28:54to over 250,000 views in just 7 days
- 28:57with two uploads. And before that, I got
- 28:5910 million views on the second short I
- 29:01uploaded to a brand new channel. I
- 29:03monetized that channel in just 22 days.
- 29:05And before long, I was earning thousands
- 29:07of dollars per month. At the end of the
- 29:09day, you can keep making excuses or keep
- 29:11following advice from people who haven't
- 29:13actually done it themselves
- 29:14consistently. But as you've seen,
- 29:16everything I create gets results.
- 29:18Literally millions of views. I'm here to
- 29:21teach you. If you're ready, no matter
- 29:22your niche, whether you're doing
- 29:24faceless content or not, or whatever
- 29:26platform you are posting from, if you
- 29:28want some proof, go to my website. You
- 29:29can see all the results I get for anyone
- 29:31who joins my coaching. I put in the
- 29:33work, so you don't need to guess. You
- 29:35just follow the steps and get results.
