- 0:00Did you know that most heart attacks
- 0:02and strokes happen within the first
- 0:04three hours of waking up? And that
- 0:07there are four morning habits that
- 0:08increase your risk of them happening.
- 0:10The worst part, though, is that there
- 0:12are people who keep repeating these
- 0:14mistakes day after day, thinking they
- 0:17are normal. Hello everyone, I am
- 0:18Gianluca Italiano from Almafisio, and
- 0:20today I will show you which four bad
- 0:22habits you may be engaging in every
- 0:24single day that put you at a serious
- 0:26risk of suffering a stroke or a heart
- 0:28attack. Don't worry though, because I
- 0:29will also show you the changes that you
- 0:31can make in order to remain safe and
- 0:33avoid any potential risks for yourself.
- 0:34Now, the first thing to do is to
- 0:36understand what naturally happens to
- 0:38your body, your heart, and your blood
- 0:40pressure when you wake up in the
- 0:42morning. When you are sleeping, your
- 0:44body enters into a phase of recovery
- 0:46and of cleansing. Your blood pressure
- 0:49drops slightly, the beats of your body
- 0:51slow down, and your entire
- 0:52cardiovascular system enters into a
- 0:54state of energy-saving mode for the
- 0:56time being. But when you finally wake
- 0:58up, everything suddenly changes; there
- 1:00is a sharp spike in blood pressure,
- 1:02your body begins to beat much faster,
- 1:04and your entire system goes back on
- 1:06alert to prepare you for the busy day
- 1:08that is about to come ahead. It’s
- 1:11precisely in this situation that your
- 1:13blood becomes more viscous and clots
- 1:14are more likely to form. In general,
- 1:16though, these are changes that happen
- 1:18every day and our body should be
- 1:20prepared for them. The real danger,
- 1:22however, arises after the age of 50,
- 1:24when our tissues are no longer as
- 1:26elastic or in shape as those of a 20-
- 1:28year-old, and to make matters worse, we
- 1:30also add several negative habits.
- 1:32It’s at these times that the heart
- 1:33becomes overloaded, inflammation
- 1:35increases, and we greatly increase the
- 1:37risk of heart attacks and strokes.
- 1:39Let’s analyze it first. Tell me the
- 1:41truth right away. When you wake up, you
- 1:43get out of bed abruptly because getting
- 1:46out of bed quickly is one of the most
- 1:48common mistakes. No, I’m not saying
- 1:50that you’re the kind of person
- 1:52who’s ready to go as soon as the
- 1:53alarm goes off. Maybe in that case you
- 1:56take it easy, but maybe while you're in
- 1:58bed you need to go to the bathroom, you
- 2:00feel your bladder calling you and you
- 2:02go straight to the bathroom without
- 2:04even stopping. This seems harmless, it
- 2:07seems like a small thing, but for a
- 2:09heart that may already be suffering, it
- 2:12can be a shock that it can't handle.
- 2:14When you stand up quickly, your body
- 2:16has to adapt to gravity in just a few
- 2:18seconds. The blood rushes immediately
- 2:20down to your legs, and your heart must
- 2:22begin beating harder to continue
- 2:24pumping sufficient blood up to your
- 2:25brain to maintain your focus. This
- 2:27leads to tachycardia, but also to
- 2:29consequent hypertension. And for those
- 2:31individuals who already possess stiff
- 2:33and inelastic arteries, it can prove to
- 2:35be a significantly demanding effort.
- 2:37Now, think about this for a moment. Has
- 2:39it ever happened to you that you got up
- 2:41too quickly in the morning and felt a
- 2:44bit dazed with your head spinning, or
- 2:46perhaps you struggled to speak or felt
- 2:48a tingling sensation or heaviness in
- 2:50some part of your body? This is not a
- 2:52permanent problem. Sometimes these
- 2:54things come on suddenly and go away
- 2:56after a few seconds, but they are a
- 2:59clear sign that your cardiovascular
- 3:01system is struggling. The problem is
- 3:03that the majority of people tend to
- 3:05ignore these symptoms, as they believe
- 3:07they are simply related to their
- 3:09advanced age. Now, here's the important
- 3:11part. There's a very simple solution to
- 3:13this problem. When you wake up, stop
- 3:16sitting in bed for at least one or two
- 3:18minutes, starting by moving your ankles
- 3:21and feet. This will reactivate
- 3:24circulation from the periphery. It will
- 3:26help your muscles contract to help
- 3:29blood flow back to the brain and avoid
- 3:31a very serious danger that you could
- 3:34encounter every morning when you wake
- 3:36up. The second habit is really common,
- 3:39especially among Italians. Be honest.
- 3:41What's the first thing you do when you
- 3:43wake up? Go and have a nice coffee on
- 3:45an empty stomach, right? This is
- 3:47something that many people think is
- 3:49healthy, because, in fact, coffee is
- 3:51not bad for your body; sometimes it can
- 3:54even help it, because it is rich in
- 3:56antioxidants. However, for someone who
- 3:58is already a certain age, who has stiff
- 4:00blood vessels and who perhaps already
- 4:02suffers from hypertension, drinking
- 4:04coffee on an empty stomach as soon as
- 4:06you wake up is certainly not the ideal
- 4:07thing to do. Let me explain why. As
- 4:10soon as you wake up, your levels of
- 4:11cortisol, which is the stress hormone,
- 4:13are already quite high; in fact, this
- 4:15is the very natural mechanism that your
- 4:17body uses in order to get you back into
- 4:19motion once again. Now, if you add a
- 4:21concentrated coffee on an empty stomach
- 4:24to this existing stimulus, the caffeine
- 4:26will amplify the effect of cortisol,
- 4:28easily leading to an increased risk of
- 4:30heart attacks and a sudden spike in
- 4:32your blood pressure. Let's be clear,
- 4:35though, this happens especially when
- 4:36you drink coffee on an empty stomach.
- 4:39In this specific case, caffeine is
- 4:40absorbed much more quickly, and
- 4:41consequently its effects are
- 4:43significantly more intense. Those
- 4:45palpitations, nervousness, or feelings
- 4:47of discomfort that you might experience
- 4:49are not insignificant and should not be
- 4:51ignored. In fact, consider that some of
- 4:54the most common strokes are due to a
- 4:56hemorrhagic problem in which the
- 4:58pressure is too high, a blood vessel
- 5:01bursts, blood flows into your brain and
- 5:03leads to irreversible damage. However,
- 5:05I've already talked about these aspects
- 5:07in another video and if you want to
- 5:08learn more, you can find it by clicking
- 5:09here above. Now, let's clarify
- 5:11something. Coffee in and of itself is
- 5:14not 100%bad. There are coffees and
- 5:17coffees, and there are good and bad
- 5:20times. Consider that for certain
- 5:22individuals who maintain an incorrect
- 5:24diet, coffee represents the primary
- 5:25source of antioxidants, and therefore
- 5:27it is not harmful to them at all. In
- 5:30fact, studies have shown that those who
- 5:32drink one or two cups of coffee a day
- 5:34have a lower risk of cardiovascular
- 5:36problems. However, we are talking about
- 5:38quality coffee that has been lightly
- 5:40roasted, which is certainly not what
- 5:41most of us drink. But here I am not
- 5:43just talking about coffee, but about
- 5:46when and how you drink it. All you need
- 5:48to do is do one thing before you start
- 5:50this bad habit. Start your day with a
- 5:53nice glass of water. You need to
- 5:55understand that when you sleep, your
- 5:57body naturally becomes dehydrated. In
- 6:00fact, you go 7-8 hours without drinking
- 6:03and slowly, through breathing, you also
- 6:06lose oxygen and water vapor. Start your
- 6:09day by rehydrating yourself with at
- 6:11least one 250-300 ml glass, perhaps by
- 6:13adding a mint leaf and a little bit of
- 6:16lemon, and postpone your morning coffee
- 6:18until after you have eaten breakfast,
- 6:20which is the best moment to enjoy it
- 6:23while avoiding any of its negative
- 6:25effects. The third bad habit is perhaps
- 6:27the most underrated. And yet, even
- 6:30today, many people suffer from serious
- 6:32problems such as strokes and heart
- 6:34attacks when they go to the bathroom.
- 6:36When they go to the bathroom and want
- 6:38to take a nice hot shower. We all feel
- 6:40the heat, it's pleasant, but you need
- 6:42to understand what happens to your body
- 6:44when you take a shower that's too hot.
- 6:46Your blood vessels suddenly dilate to
- 6:49disperse the heat. This can result in a
- 6:51sudden drop in blood pressure, which
- 6:53forces your heart to have to work a
- 6:54great deal harder to compensate for it.
- 6:56Stop, though, because even a cold
- 6:58shower is not a good choice. In fact,
- 7:01the effect is the opposite. In this
- 7:02case, your blood vessels suddenly
- 7:05constrict, excessively increasing your
- 7:07blood pressure and once again putting
- 7:09you at risk of a hemorrhagic stroke. I
- 7:12recommend that you take a warm shower
- 7:14in the morning, not too cold or too hot
- 7:16. Finally, the fourth habit, in my
- 7:18opinion the most dangerous and probably
- 7:21also the most common. Current
- 7:23statistics tell us that at least eight
- 7:25out of 10 Italians do not eat enough
- 7:27fiber during the day. The consequence
- 7:29is that in the morning when they go to
- 7:32the bathroom they have a lot of
- 7:33difficulty in evacuating and you may
- 7:36not realize this difficulty, but it
- 7:38terribly increases intravascular
- 7:39pressure and the strain on the heart.
- 7:42Having a stroke or heart attack during
- 7:44defecation is an increasingly common
- 7:47problem in modern populations. Think
- 7:49about it: if you have the same
- 7:51breakfast every morning, consisting of
- 7:53milk and biscuits or maybe a croissant
- 7:55or a slice of toast, and if the day
- 7:56before your dinner was also poor in
- 7:58vegetables, fruit, whole grains and
- 8:00legumes, your intestines must eliminate
- 8:02all these substances, struggling
- 8:03tremendously and enduring a terrible
- 8:05effort in order to successfully expel
- 8:07them from your system. Never
- 8:09underestimate what you eat in relation
- 8:11to your health. Every time you sit down
- 8:13to eat something, you are making a very
- 8:15important choice for your future. There
- 8:17are certain foods that are negative for
- 8:19you and will lead to illnesses, while
- 8:21others are like real medicines that
- 8:23will make you feel well and healthy. If
- 8:25you see that you are already suffering
- 8:28in the morning, that you have strange
- 8:30symptoms, that you have weakness in
- 8:32your legs, dizziness, difficulty moving
- 8:35, and pain everywhere, don't wait even
- 8:37one more day. Your choices at the table
- 8:40and in what you do every day will
- 8:41determine your future health. But if
- 8:44you want to learn more about how to
- 8:46improve your cardiovascular system and
- 8:48avoid all these problems, I have put a
- 8:50link in the description to a simple and
- 8:52free PDF in which I give you precise
- 8:54instructions on what to do every day to
- 8:56feel good. That's all for today. Bye
- 8:58and thank you.
