I Analyzed Jack Craig’s 2026 Shorts Strategy (Copy This) — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Last night I was watching a video of
- 0:03Jack Conte. So if you don't know who
- 0:04Jack Conte is, he is just like me but a
- 0:07way better person in the YouTube space.
- 0:10He
- 0:11is [snorts] someone I've been following
- 0:12for 2 whole years. I will show you the
- 0:14account right now. So this is Jack
- 0:16Conte. He basically makes videos about
- 0:18of himself starting different YouTube
- 0:20shows channels. As you can see he has
- 0:22249,000
- 0:24subscribers in just 15 long form videos
- 0:27on this and he rarely uploads like every
- 0:304 or 5 months and every video I have
- 0:32watched of his was an absolute amazing
- 0:35video which I would get to learn from
- 0:36every single thing like from the from
- 0:39the down. I would literally learn like
- 0:41so much from the video. So
- 0:43I made a full document as you can see
- 0:46out here.
- 0:47So that we can analyze the video and
- 0:50figure out how we can replicate the
- 0:53exact same process, the exact same
- 0:56strategy and build our shorts channel in
- 0:59the next 14 days itself. I will be
- 1:01experimenting it but I will let you know
- 1:03about that. Till that time if you will
- 1:05love if you will love this content make
- 1:07sure to hit the subscribe button and
- 1:09follow Create with Zio on Instagram
- 1:11also. We have our you uh our grow
- 1:16with YouTube winter our growth series
- 1:18where I'm posting for 120 days straight
- 1:20about how to make content. So you can go
- 1:23follow me on Instagram also. So let's
- 1:25get into it. So the video itself was
- 1:29I'll just take you to the page right
- 1:30away.
- 1:31It is about blowing up a beginner's
- 1:34YouTube channel in 7 days. I saw the
- 1:36full video. Although it was a bit more
- 1:38than 7 days but we got to learn a lot
- 1:40from it. So the channel which he is
- 1:42talking about and he had made is called
- 1:44Tested and Proved has 11,000 subscribers
- 1:47and just four videos made. As you can
- 1:50see here one of the videos has 15
- 1:52million views. The other one has 160,
- 1:55132 and the other last one has 518,000
- 1:58views. So, isn't that really amazing?
- 2:00Like people have a dream to even get
- 2:02like 20 21,000 views also some of them,
- 2:06but more of like the 20 25k views are
- 2:08the dream. And like a million views is
- 2:09the obviously everybody's dream. It was
- 2:11my dream, but now I completed it, so
- 2:15So,
- 2:16what does his video talk about
- 2:18basically? So,
- 2:21I made a fresh document ready to analyze
- 2:24along with you. So, because we obviously
- 2:26can't see the video because of the need
- 2:28to copyright issues.
- 2:29So,
- 2:30the niche he got into.
- 2:33He would decide a niche where there
- 2:36would be an existing video
- 2:39of another creator.
- 2:42Give value-added editing, make it a
- 2:44short, edit it, make it valuable, and
- 2:48post it. That is basically called
- 2:51clipping, where we take other people's
- 2:53content according to YouTube
- 2:55monetization policies, make it our own,
- 2:58make it refine it, make it look better,
- 3:00look it as our own, and post it
- 3:02according to YouTube's policies. It is
- 3:04completely legal to clip. So,
- 3:07what was the niche going to be decided
- 3:10upon? So, in this case I would thought
- 3:12you would give a name for the niche, but
- 3:15instead of giving a name for the niche,
- 3:17he more of gave a channel for the niche.
- 3:20What I mean is that he
- 3:23specified the type of channel he wants
- 3:25to clip content from in order
- 3:29to make his shorts go viral within a
- 3:32short amount of time. So, the first
- 3:34thing is time efficient,
- 3:36which has enough content in one video in
- 3:39order to make a perfect YouTube short of
- 3:41probably 30 45 seconds and 1 minute.
- 3:45The next one is beginner-friendly.
- 3:46Obviously, you might be a beginner who's
- 3:48watching this video.
- 3:50You would want to start a
- 3:53one from scratch. So, it is
- 3:54beginner-friendly. And the third one is
- 3:56low competition. So, the channel he
- 3:59basically had
- 4:00um
- 4:01decided to go with was a channel called
- 4:03NileRed Blue where I believe he is into
- 4:07more of the physics and chemistry part
- 4:08and like um does wild experiments, which
- 4:12is 30 20
- 4:15Okay, so this is NileRed Blue's channel.
- 4:16So,
- 4:18this is the channel they decided to
- 4:19replicate.
- 4:22So, NileRed Blue has 3.5 million
- 4:24subscribers and 160 videos. So, he has a
- 4:26lot of popular videos, which we can take
- 4:28the clips from. But,
- 4:30what Jack Conte had specified in his
- 4:32video was
- 4:33that if you want to make a short,
- 4:35you have to make it on some topic that
- 4:37people know about. If I talk about a
- 4:39bismuth knife in my video,
- 4:43do people even know what a bismuth knife
- 4:45is? I mean, if they are a very elite
- 4:48knowledgeable person, who would know
- 4:50what it is, sure. But, not everyone is
- 4:53like that. So, Red Bull is known around
- 4:55the world. So, we're going to go with
- 4:56Red Bull. But, let's first search
- 4:59make the making the world's
- 5:03most powerful Red Bull.
- 5:09First would come his, right?
- 5:11First would come his. And then, this is
- 5:13Jack Conte's YouTube short. So,
- 5:17we can see
- 5:19that there is literally no other video
- 5:26of the same topic. That means the
- 5:29competition
- 5:31is low.
- 5:32That is what Jack Conte was trying to
- 5:34say.
- 5:35Find things that are low competition,
- 5:37but recognizable by the audience like
- 5:39Red Bull in order to make a short.
- 5:42That was what made me
- 5:44That's what made me change about YouTube
- 5:46shorts. I thought like YouTube shots
- 5:47would be like more of
- 5:49high known people or like reels that
- 5:53have gone super viral. But,
- 5:56if we dig deeper,
- 5:57if we find low competition niches
- 6:01that have a huge gold mine rush right
- 6:03now,
- 6:04why not take it?
- 6:05So,
- 6:07he had taken this video and he had
- 6:10analyzed it in order to make this. Let
- 6:13me just go back to the word document.
- 6:15Okay.
- 6:17So,
- 6:18this is the video ideation he had told
- 6:21in his video. He had told it in his two
- 6:22previous videos also.
- 6:24I didn't I wasn't able to
- 6:26uh tell, but
- 6:28let's see the video ideation. First is
- 6:30the hook, obviously. Everyone knows the
- 6:32hook.
- 6:33Okay.
- 6:34Then is the rising action.
- 6:37Rising action, obviously, to make the
- 6:39viewer even more impressed. After that,
- 6:42conflict. What is happening? Something
- 6:44is gone wrong.
- 6:45Probably. But, you will prove the with a
- 6:48comeback out here, a comeback. The
- 6:50comeback is the one that gets you back
- 6:52on the track.
- 6:53Then there's more rising action that
- 6:55makes the person want to stay, the
- 6:57viewer want to stay. And then comes the
- 6:59payoff.
- 7:00And that is simply
- 7:03how Jack Conte was able to make one of
- 7:05his videos like this.
- 7:08It
- 7:09is really amazing that it got 15 million
- 7:11views the very first upload.
- 7:15It's amazing, right? People want to see
- 7:16this. So,
- 7:19out here,
- 7:20tested and proved,
- 7:22it's almost 16 million views in total, I
- 7:24believe. So,
- 7:27video ideation complete completion
- 7:29compulsion. Is that same thing table
- 7:33which I showed y'all. Let me just see.
- 7:35Let me just show y'all.
- 7:39Time efficient, beginner friendly, and
- 7:41low competition. So,
- 7:45as of now, I have more or less
- 7:47understood how Jack Creg is trying to
- 7:49say.
- 7:50And also, one more thing I didn't
- 7:52mention in this.
- 7:54You don't have to be that
- 7:57frequent to make the videos. You don't
- 8:00have to upload every day. You don't have
- 8:02to upload every two or three days. You
- 8:04can upload it according to what I would
- 8:08want to call the Jack Creg effect.
- 8:12If you see
- 8:13the video
- 8:15is going up viral, when it is getting a
- 8:18lot of views, when it's being pushed,
- 8:19never upload a video at that time. It
- 8:21will just ruin your views on that next
- 8:25video.
- 8:27He has tested and proved it. That's the
- 8:29same name as his channel name, by the
- 8:30way. He has tested it, but when the
- 8:32video was going viral on a different
- 8:34channel, he had uploaded another short,
- 8:36but that short ended up getting, guess
- 8:38what? Only 100 views.
- 8:43Can you believe that? I like wouldn't
- 8:44you expect more views to come in like
- 8:47because there are more people viewing
- 8:49his video and probably visiting his own
- 8:51YouTube channel, wouldn't you expect
- 8:53more? I mean, yes, but that is not the
- 8:55case. That
- 8:58he is trying to say that when the you
- 9:01see the views are going down
- 9:03consistently for like a day or two or if
- 9:08your video is not going viral and the
- 9:12views per hour in your YouTube studio
- 9:15are showing less than 100 for 12 whole
- 9:19hours,
- 9:20at the 13th hour or one or two hours
- 9:22after that, that's the perfect time to
- 9:24upload a video. If you didn't understand
- 9:25my talk, let me say it again. Let me
- 9:27write it in the document itself.
- 9:31And again, this is just uploading
- 9:33another screenshot how he made it. And
- 9:34he he also made description as a thing.
- 9:36He then leave the description open.
- 9:39So,
- 9:40what I want to really say is this.
- 9:45If you see your video at less than 100
- 9:52views per hour
- 9:54for 12 hours,
- 9:56that's the time to upload your video
- 10:01that has a good
- 10:05video ideation, as I said.
- 10:07Okay? Or if your video is going viral,
- 10:10but it is going consistently
- 10:13down, if it is going down consistently,
- 10:16then that is the time to upload a
- 10:18YouTube video.
- 10:19So, this is Jack Conte's video
- 10:23summarized to us right in front of us.
- 10:27So, that is it from my side. Make sure
- 10:30to subscribe.
- 10:31I will see you in the next video and
- 10:33follow us on Instagram. Till that time,
- 10:35take care.
