How We Uncovered Arc Raiders Biggest Cheating Scandal (The Story of Aimkey) — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00an extremely popular content creator in
- 0:02the Arc Raiders community who not too
- 0:03long ago just won a $25,000 Arc Raiders
- 0:06tournament and has played with massive
- 0:08content creators like Tfue and Ninja has
- 0:11just been banned from Arc Raiders for
- 0:14cheating. MK began posting videos around
- 0:165 years ago to a known alias named
- 0:18Roupert, primarily playing games like
- 0:20Battlefield 2042, Call of Duty, and
- 0:23Fortnite in which he would reach top
- 0:25ranks and perform exceptionally well in
- 0:27all of these games. He would continue to
- 0:29play these games until October 15th,
- 0:322025, where Arc Raiders would have its
- 0:34first play test. AMI would log into an
- 0:37alternate account by the name The
- 0:38Necromancer, where he would join a
- 0:40Discord of a well-known cheat service
- 0:42for several games. He would then inquire
- 0:45about DMA cheats and if Arc Raiders
- 0:47would have any when the game goes on
- 0:48play test in 2 days on the 17th. The
- 0:52crazy part is is that this was all
- 0:54brought to our attention by a user named
- 0:56Trey who posted this information May of
- 0:58this year, but everyone seemed to blow
- 1:00it off. Why is that? Well, this proof is
- 1:03non-conclusive. It's crowd screenshots
- 1:05that don't really show anything. You
- 1:07also can't fact check that this was ever
- 1:09AIM keys alt as services like Google
- 1:12have since been shut down and the
- 1:14account has since been deleted.
- 1:16Therefore, this was a dry lead and this
- 1:18didn't really help prove anything. This
- 1:20isn't the first scandal AM has been in
- 1:22since his rise to popularity in Arc
- 1:25Raiders. Back in the early months of the
- 1:27game, there was an exploit that allowed
- 1:28PC players to play in console lobbies by
- 1:31owning the game on the Xbox store and
- 1:33turning off crossplatform. That allowed
- 1:35Aimy to play against only controller
- 1:37players while he was on a PC, which made
- 1:40his lobbies considerably easier. He
- 1:42responded to this by admitting he only
- 1:43did this because the cheater and stream
- 1:45sniping situation is out of control. I
- 1:47just want to go over the whole Xbox
- 1:48lobby drama. Yeah, basically it is true.
- 1:50A lot of people have been saying we did
- 1:51it to farm easier lobbies and get clips
- 1:53and whatnot, but that's just not the
- 1:54case at all. The main reason was to
- 1:56avoid stream snipers and cheaters.
- 1:57However, that does not give you a good
- 1:59excuse to ruin other players experience.
- 2:01Ever since this moment, he has had a
- 2:03trail following him of being a cheater,
- 2:05which no one would have proof to confirm
- 2:06until October 19th when AM would play
- 2:10his final game of Arc Raiders.
- 2:13On the morning of the 20th, Ami would
- 2:15wake up and attempt to load Arc Raiders,
- 2:17where he would first surprisingly find
- 2:18out he's been banned. He would take to
- 2:20Twitch and Twitter shortly after with
- 2:23confusion, asking Embark to explain why
- 2:25he's been banned, which shocked the
- 2:26community and left everyone with many
- 2:28questions. After getting in contact with
- 2:30the devs a day later, Mi went public
- 2:32with screenshots and DMs from the devs
- 2:34that confirmed he had been permanently
- 2:36banned for aimbody. This ban is
- 2:39legitimately had me in shock. Reddit and
- 2:41Twitter is going to love this because
- 2:43it's going to it's going to vindicate
- 2:44them. But the reason I got banned was
- 2:47for aimbotting.
- 2:49It was for aimbotting. Uh what does it
- 2:51say?
- 2:54This is where everything falls apart.
- 2:56AMK defends himself on Twitter and
- 2:58Reddit against a hate mob of people who
- 3:00are finally happy to see him banned
- 3:02where he promises and begs that he will
- 3:04do anything to approve his innocence.
- 3:06And up until this point, AM Keyy's
- 3:08gameplay has looked completely clean. It
- 3:11would be hard to say he was cheating,
- 3:12and without sufficient proof, the
- 3:14community was mixed against if Embark
- 3:16made a proper decision or not. This is
- 3:20when information would surface to settle
- 3:22the matter once and for all. A video of
- 3:24AMI would privately surface of AM's alt
- 3:27account, the Necromancer, posting and
- 3:29shortly deleting a screenshot of him
- 3:31loading Arc Raiders, where you can
- 3:33visibly see the Steam name AM Key. Now,
- 3:36many people would say that there are
- 3:37plenty of people that would cheat and
- 3:38impersonate AI key, and that would
- 3:40definitely be true. However, looking at
- 3:42the dates these logs were taken, you can
- 3:44see that this is well before AMI had any
- 3:46platform, and that manipulating a video
- 3:48like this is not impossible, but highly,
- 3:51highly unlikely. Not only do we know
- 3:53that, but we also saw from leaked cheat
- 3:55information that the PC he used to cheat
- 3:58on matches the exact same specs as a
- 4:01comment that he left on an unlisted
- 4:034-year-old video. Mi wasn't somebody who
- 4:06was cheating consistently. He was
- 4:08actually a good player across many
- 4:09games. So why would he want to cheat?
- 4:12Well, before his rise to popularity, he
- 4:14was already familiar with cheating. Aim
- 4:16has previously purchased cheats for
- 4:18Delta Force, a game he used to play
- 4:20right before playing Arc Raiders, and
- 4:22Fortnite, another game he has many hours
- 4:25in. At this point in AM's career, he has
- 4:28very little fans, so it's unlikely to
- 4:30assume that he cared if he got caught.
- 4:31Mix that with his previous experience in
- 4:33cheating, and it's likely that AMI
- 4:35thought he was untouchable. People like
- 4:37Aim Key don't cheat because they're bad.
- 4:40They cheat because they don't think
- 4:41there will be any consequences. So, what
- 4:43does this prove? We tried to hear AM's
- 4:45side of the story, but he didn't have
- 4:47much to say other than believe what you
- 4:49want. And with the evidence we've
- 4:51presented, it sure is extremely damning
- 4:53and points a lot of fingers towards AM
- 4:55having cheated before. However, this is
- 4:58all alleged and nothing has been 100%
- 5:02confirmed. So, take this information
- 5:04with a grain of salt and believe
- 5:05whatever you want to believe. We know
- 5:07that Enki likely wasn't cheating
- 5:09recently and his recent tournament win
- 5:12was likely legit, but despite that, his
- 5:14credibility is completely destroyed and
- 5:17I don't think we'll be seeing a return
- 5:19of Anki anytime soon.
- 5:21>> Okay, so I'm ready to reveal what I
- 5:25know, guys. I can't I can't show the
- 5:26stream yet. I need to hide the um I need
- 5:29to hide the the the personal
- 5:31information, but I'm going to tell you
- 5:32guys what happened pretty much. I
- 5:33confronted A key with the evidence I
- 5:35have. He basically said, "Believe what
- 5:37you want."
- 5:38>> He said, "I'm I'm already banned." He
- 5:40said, "I'm already quitting, so there's
- 5:41no point." So he he didn't even try to
- 5:44defend himself. See, it seems like we're
- 5:47the last ones left, man.
- 5:49>> I'll fucking crash.
- 5:51>> Nah, bro. I'm I'm low key. Like I'm I
- 5:53left the Discord. I'm like I'm not
- 5:54associating with anybody like from that
- 5:56core no more. I'm just I'm I'm Oh yeah,
- 5:58I left duck, dude. I'm going my own
- 6:00path, man. Yo, thank you for the subh
- 6:02suck ass serve, dude. I just I don't
- 6:04want to be surrounded by this shady
- 6:05shit, dude. Aky fucking doing this. We
- 6:08got this guy doing some weird shit,
- 6:10talking to cheaters. I just I don't want
- 6:12to associate none of that, man. I mean,
- 6:14I always been solo anyways. And let's be
- 6:16honest, most people in that duck code
- 6:18don't like me anyways. So, honestly,
- 6:20fuck it, dude. Stay my own path, man.
- 6:22Okay, this is how the conversation went
- 6:23with um Anki. I confronted him with my
- 6:26evidence and he basically just said,
- 6:28"Believe what you want." Now, we all
- 6:30know if you ever got cheated on by a
- 6:32girl, whenever you confront him for
- 6:34cheating, they always say, "Believe what
- 6:36you want. I'm not cheating." Okay? So,
- 6:39he he didn't even try defending himself.
- 6:41He just said, "Believe what you want. Um
- 6:42I'm already banned. I'm already quitting
- 6:44anyways." D. So, so here's the evidence
- 6:47that I have. If you guys don't know, AMI
- 6:50goes by RER. Before he um became AMI,
- 6:52his name was Rouper. And a cheat
- 6:55developer for DMA reseller or whatever
- 6:58showed us someone who bought cheats
- 7:00named RER. The person RER also had the
- 7:03same information that was connected to
- 7:05Anki Steam account. So, it was connected
- 7:08to Anki Steam account and it was bought
- 7:11on October 15th. So this is before Inky
- 7:15Bulock and it also showed me the PC
- 7:18information. It shows me the the GPU and
- 7:20the CPU of the person who bought these
- 7:24sheets. Now I found I found a video of
- 7:28Inky of him talking about his specs. His
- 7:32specs is the exact same as the one as
- 7:35the one this Rooper guy 1080 Ti uh and
- 7:39one 900k CPU. So this RER guy, we just
- 7:43pretend that Anki isn't RER. This RER
- 7:46guy bought cheats from DMA and he has
- 7:50the same exact PC as AM key. He has the
- 7:53same exact steam account as AM key and
- 7:56he has the Discord that is linked to
- 8:00AM's Discord. So if you go right here,
- 8:03this guy um this discord called
- 8:05necromancer right here, this shows that
- 8:08Anki, this necromancer discord is a alt
- 8:12account of Anki discord. And now when we
- 8:14go over here, we'll see that this
- 8:16necromancer guy uh this necromancer
- 8:19discord is over here asking would there
- 8:21be DMA freeze for arc creators? Would
- 8:23there be DMA cheats for arc raers play
- 8:26test in two days? And so he joined on
- 8:29October 15th. the same day that the
- 8:32cheats were bought on the DMA website by
- 8:34this ruper guy. And this Robert after he
- 8:37bought the cheats, he sent a screenshot
- 8:39of his Steam account and the name of the
- 8:41Steam account is Aim Key. Now, hear me
- 8:44out. This is before Aim Key blew up.
- 8:47This is before Arc Raiders even came
- 8:48out. This was back in October 15th. Arc
- 8:52Raiders came out like what? October
- 8:5430th. So, how is somebody why is
- 8:56somebody named Loop Whooper that is also
- 9:00buying cheats with a Discord account
- 9:02named Neccommancer and the Steam account
- 9:04name is Aki before Aki even became a
- 9:08thing? Why is why is Neccommancer
- 9:11account linked to Aki's account? Why did
- 9:15Aki used to go by RER too? There just so
- 9:18much there is so much coincidence. There
- 9:22is so much length to him that it's like
- 9:25it's hard to deny this. Like it's it's
- 9:28hard to deny this.
- 9:30It's hard to deny this shit, bro. And
- 9:32I'm not even like like bro, this is
- 9:35fucking insane, dude. But this is a
- 9:38Steam account. This is a Steam account
- 9:40that is linked to u his Steam account.
- 9:42So his Steam account is linked to the
- 9:44DMA website. When you copy and paste
- 9:46that Steam ID, it goes straight to his
- 9:50Steam account. So I asked Anki, "Can you
- 9:52please explain this?" He all he said
- 9:55was, "Believe what you want." He said,
- 9:56"Well, you're gonna believe what you
- 9:57want anyway, so there's no point."
- 9:59That's like he didn't even try defending
- 10:00himself. He said, "I I'm already going
- 10:03to quit. I already gave up. It's GG's."
- 10:09I mean,
- 10:11there's just too much coincidence. There
- 10:13is too much evidence. There too much
- 10:14against him. There's so much linked to
- 10:16him. I mean, dude, I don't have anything
- 10:18linked to me. I don't have a a cheat
- 10:20account that's linked to me. I don't got
- 10:22a discord account that bought cheats
- 10:24linked to me. I don't have a alternate
- 10:26name RER that's buying. Like I don't
- 10:28have none of that linked to me. So why
- 10:30is all these things linked to him now?
- 10:33Now also these cheats, it says here that
- 10:36the last time the DMA cheats was online
- 10:39was in May 28th. That's also around the
- 10:42time he bought a second PC. So it just
- 10:46it's just too much coincidence, man. So,
- 10:48I'm not I'm not sure what to do with
- 10:50this. Do you guys think this is like I I
- 10:52think this is like definite proof.
- 10:55There's just too much coincidence.
- 10:57>> You said the last time it was used was
- 10:58May.
- 10:59>> Yes. When when he when he um bought a
- 11:01new PC, so maybe he could have got a
- 11:03different DMA or something else,
- 11:06>> but the last time that the Eden Eden DMA
- 11:08was used was a May 28th. So maybe we
- 11:11could maybe we could we could just say
- 11:13that he doesn't cheat no more and he
- 11:15only the last time he see was in May.
- 11:16But at the end of the day, you're still
- 11:18guilty. You still cheated. That's it.
- 11:21That's it. Like once a cheater, always a
- 11:23cheater.
- 11:24>> Uh cuz I have a question cuz I know DMA
- 11:26is you you can only use DMA uh when you
- 11:29have two PCs. But those screenshots of
- 11:31like the Arc play test and stuff of him
- 11:33like quote unquote cheating for the Arc
- 11:34play test. You was that also DMA? Cuz if
- 11:37that was DMA, he didn't have a second PC
- 11:38then because he showed his setup
- 11:40multiple times on stream before May.
- 11:41>> You could only You could only DM me on a
- 11:43second PC. I don't Are you sure that's
- 11:45true? Yeah, you can only use DMA on two
- 11:47PCs. You you need two PCs for it. I'm
- 11:50like 90% sure.
- 11:51>> I've never heard of that, but it just
- 11:53>> DMA is like direct memory access and it
- 11:56you you need two PCs and it overlays one
- 11:58onto the onto the from one PC and it
- 12:01overlays it onto your monitor. So you
- 12:05>> you need like confirm like you need two
- 12:07PCs.
- 12:07>> Someone said you have a laptop too.
- 12:10>> Well, yeah. Like if you have a laptop
- 12:11like anything that counts as like a
- 12:12computer. anything that counts as a
- 12:15computer. So, laptop.
- 12:16>> Who who to say he didn't have a laptop?
- 12:17Who to say he didn't have a second PC?
- 12:19Like, who to say that? Like, we don't
- 12:21know for sure. But the
- 12:22>> That's true. But he also did show his
- 12:24his setup like multiple times on stream
- 12:27like before he made it known that he had
- 12:29second PC. And then when he did show
- 12:31second PC,
- 12:33uh he was like showing his he was
- 12:36showing um
- 12:37>> Oh, someone said you can also use a
- 12:39virtual machine too.
- 12:40>> Virtual machine. I have no idea about
- 12:41that. But when you when you do um like
- 12:45or when he like asked for people to say
- 12:47like, "Oh, look at his setup. Look at
- 12:49his setup." He would show both PCs and
- 12:52there was never like a DMA card or
- 12:53anything.
- 12:55>> Well, to be fair, people have told me
- 12:57you can hide a DMA card like really good
- 12:59inside the PC. But either way, but that
- 13:02doesn't explain why all this is linked
- 13:04to him. Why is everything linked to him?
- 13:08Why Why does some guy named RER who is
- 13:11buying cheats under the name Enky on
- 13:14Steam before Inky even blew up and got
- 13:17famous? And by the way, he he Inky was
- 13:21known as Rooper before. Actually, I have
- 13:22a proof of that, too. Actually, give me
- 13:24a second.
- 13:24>> Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's it's on his
- 13:27it's on his uh it's on his YouTube, too.
- 13:30>> Yeah. He was known as Rer before, too.
- 13:34So it come on is just too much
- 13:36coincidence to like there's something's
- 13:39up. There's something's up, dude. This
- 13:41something's wrong, dude.
- 13:44Like I I I I really I really believe
- 13:47that he wasn't cheating. I really did.
- 13:50As you all can see here, his old videos
- 13:52from like 2022, 2023, his he he went by
- 13:56Rooper, as you can tell from all these
- 13:58titles. Rer defeating foes. Rer aim
- 14:01Robert. So that's his proof right there.
- 14:03Like he he did go by Rooper 100%.
- 14:07And you're telling me that there's some
- 14:10random guy named Rooper that that isn't
- 14:13Anki bought cheats under a Discord
- 14:17account that is linked to Anki, but it's
- 14:19not Inky.
- 14:20Who also have a Steam account named
- 14:22Anki, but it's not Anky though. All all
- 14:27the evidence points to it being Aki. And
- 14:30it and it is
- 14:34there. And and I asked him to explain.
- 14:37All he said was believe what you want.
- 14:39So I mean what the fuck do I do? What
- 14:41the fuck do I do? Just I guess I believe
- 14:43what you want. I believe he's cheating
- 14:46and that that that that's that's what I
- 14:48believe in, dude. I fucking hate
- 14:49cheaters. I hate all cheaters and I want
- 14:52nothing to do with them. And I'm going
- 14:54have to give back my money that I won
- 14:55for the tournament whenever they pay me
- 14:57because it's just what I believe in. is
- 14:59my moral code.
- 15:03>> Wait, you have to pay back the 4K.
- 15:05>> I don't have to, but I should because I
- 15:08won it playing with a cheater. Maybe he
- 15:10maybe I'm pretty sure he didn't cheat in
- 15:12a tournament, but he definitely got
- 15:14cheats before. I don't know, dude, cuz
- 15:17it doesn't look like his gameplay
- 15:19doesn't look like cheats at all. But why
- 15:22why all this like there's so much
- 15:25evidence against him, dude? I just don't
- 15:26get it, man.
- 15:29call me crazy, but I still think it I
- 15:31don't know.
- 15:32>> I still can't believe if he's not
- 15:34cheating, but
- 15:35>> but you got to understand that the cheat
- 15:36dev like went out to like like
- 15:39to show it to show me this and like he's
- 15:42not supposed to.
- 15:45And like I I asked him to PC checked him
- 15:47and he did not want to. So I'm just
- 15:49dude, I don't know, man. All he had to
- 15:52do was PC check. He didn't want to do
- 15:54it. He didn't comply with me. He said,
- 15:56"Believe what you want. What do I do
- 15:58then?" He didn't want a PC check. He
- 16:01didn't want to defend himself. Then I'm
- 16:03just going to believe what I want what I
- 16:04believe. And I think he's cheating.
- 16:06There's just too much evidence against
- 16:08him. Dude, there is so much evidence
- 16:10against him.
- 16:12Like Like I I I don't have any evidence
- 16:14against me. There no evidence against
- 16:16lies or you. Why is all this link linked
- 16:19to him? Why is so many cheating
- 16:21allegations linked to him? Unless he's
- 16:23doing something fishy. That's it.
- 16:27Unless he doing something fishy that he
- 16:30not supposed to. That's the reason why
- 16:32so many things are linked to him because
- 16:34it's not nothing is linked to me.
- 16:39>> Wait, so he stayed up that he's just
- 16:41quitting. That's it. He's not
- 16:43>> Yeah, he he said he quit. He said he
- 16:45quit.
- 16:45>> Unless he said
- 16:47>> unless like literally the day he got
- 16:49banned, he said if he doesn't get
- 16:50unbanned, he's just going to quit.
- 16:52>> Yes. So he just quit. He's not even
- 16:54gonna try to defend himself. He's not
- 16:55gonna try to, you know, you know, defend
- 16:58his repetition. He's just gonna quit.
- 17:00So,
- 17:01>> okay. That is crazy because his team was
- 17:03doing so well. Like, who the fuck quits
- 17:05like that?
- 17:07>> Yeah. Like he could just go to a new
