- 0:00Google Calendar is an easy-to-use, yet powerful
- 0:02scheduling solution that makes sharing events and calendars with others a breeze.
- 0:07Knowing how to use it effectively will save you time and help
- 0:11keep your life more organized. Hi everyone, I'm
- 0:13Anson Alexander and in this video I'm going to
- 0:16show you everything that you need to know to
- 0:19use Google Calendar effectively and efficiently.
- 0:22I'll cover all of the primary features, I'll
- 0:24provide examples for sharing events and sharing
- 0:27calendars and plenty of tips and tricks to enhance your experience. Let's get into it!
- 0:32Okay, so here I am in Google Calendar.
- 0:35I got here by going to calendar.google.
- 0:37com and then I logged in with a Google account. When you first
- 0:40log into Google Calendar, you'll see the current
- 0:42day in the middle of your screen, and you can tell
- 0:44it's the current day because it's highlighted in blue.
- 0:47Since we're in the week view, we can also
- 0:49see the current time by this little red line,
- 0:52so if we had a meeting coming up here in our
- 0:53schedule, we'd be able to see that the current
- 0:55time is approaching that meeting, so get ready.
- 0:58Now at the same time, we also have a mini calendar
- 1:00over here to the left, so you can cycle through
- 1:02the months by using the arrows, and then if you
- 1:05want to go to a particular day, you can click on
- 1:07it, and in our case right now since we're in week
- 1:09view, it takes us to the week of the 22nd, or it's
- 1:12the week of the 21st, right, but we clicked on the
- 1:1422nd, so we're shown this week. If you ever want
- 1:17to go back to today, you can just click on the today button up here at the top left.
- 1:21Now like I said, we're currently in the week view, but if
- 1:24we take a look over here at the top right of the
- 1:26screen, we have a drop down where we can change
- 1:28our view, so we could look at a month view, and
- 1:30you can kind of see what the calendar looks like there.
- 1:33If we had any events, they'd be listed on here.
- 1:36I also want to show you the schedule view.
- 1:38This is a very helpful view if you have a day
- 1:40jam-packed with meetings. You'll see all your
- 1:42meetings listed. Right now, we only have the
- 1:44holidays listed because we don't have any meetings
- 1:47on this calendar, but if we had, say, eight
- 1:49meetings in one day, we would see all eight of
- 1:51those meetings here listed, so that's a really
- 1:53helpful view for those busy days, but for now,
- 1:56I'll go ahead and I'll go back to the week view,
- 1:59and now let's start talking about creating events.
- 2:02There are a couple of different ways to create
- 2:04events here in Google Calendar. You can either
- 2:06click on the create button up here at the top left, and then you can choose event,
- 2:11or you can just single click on the day and time
- 2:14in your calendar, so since we're in week view,
- 2:17let's say I wanted to create a reoccurring event
- 2:20for Mondays, so let me go ahead and go to next
- 2:22week since that hasn't happened yet, and we'll
- 2:24go ahead and we want to create a weekly kickoff
- 2:27meeting, so I'm just going to click here at, say,
- 2:308.30. You'll notice when I click, a little window
- 2:33pops up, and this is the quick create event window,
- 2:36and we can create an event right from here.
- 2:38If we'd like, we can add a title, you can fill out
- 2:41this information, and then click save.
- 2:43However, we can also access more options by clicking on
- 2:45this more options button, and I want to show you
- 2:47that because that's just going to allow me to show
- 2:50you more features. We'll have everything there
- 2:52that we have on this screen plus some more, so
- 2:54let's click on more options. So now we are in
- 2:57the full event creation screen. You'll notice
- 3:00that first of all, at the top, we can give our
- 3:02event a title, so we could just call this kickoff
- 3:05meeting, and then we can specify the day and the time.
- 3:09So obviously, we clicked on our calendar on
- 3:11the day and time that we wanted it, but if we had
- 3:13been in, say, the month view and we just clicked
- 3:15on a day, it wouldn't know exactly what time we
- 3:17wanted it, so we want to check and make sure that it's correct.
- 3:20So maybe this isn't 8.30 to 9.
- 3:2130, it's just 8.30 to 9, so it's only half an hour,
- 3:25and then we have the option here to make this
- 3:27an all-day event. Generally speaking, that's going
- 3:31to be for, like, when you're on vacation or if you
- 3:34have a business trip, events that will take the entire day.
- 3:37So maybe you're going to a conference,
- 3:38you could create it as an all-day event, and
- 3:40then if you have meetings at that conference,
- 3:42you can create additional events that are at a
- 3:45specific time that get added to your calendar in
- 3:48addition to the all-day event. So for this particular meeting, it's only half an hour,
- 3:52it's not an all-day event. However, it does repeat. So you'll notice that we have this
- 3:57dropdown, and by default, it says does not repeat,
- 3:59but that's not what we want. We want this one to
- 4:02repeat weekly on Monday, but notice that we have
- 4:05a number of different options. You can have it
- 4:07repeat monthly on the first Monday, since that's the one we're looking at right now.
- 4:11If this was the second Monday, it would ask us if we wanted
- 4:14to create it every second Monday of the month.
- 4:16You could have it repeat annually every weekday,
- 4:19or we could even do a custom repeat schedule.
- 4:22So I'll let you check that out if you'd like, but for
- 4:24this one, we want it to repeat weekly on Monday.
- 4:28So now down here, we have the event details.
- 4:30But before I get into that, I want to show you this
- 4:33little option here. It says find a time.
- 4:35And when we click on that, it will bring up our calendar
- 4:38for the current day and time that we have selected
- 4:41up here at the top to allow us to look at our
- 4:43calendar to make sure we're not over scheduling.
- 4:45So we can look in here and see what slots we have available.
- 4:48So that just helps you find a time.
- 4:50So let's click back to the event details.
- 4:52And notice that if we were doing a video meeting using
- 4:55Google Meet, we could add the meeting right here,
- 4:58and it would create the meeting link for us.
- 4:59And it would email it to all the guests once
- 5:01we invite them to this event so that we don't
- 5:03have to go in, you know, afterwards and create
- 5:06a Google Meet meeting and set up the time and everything.
- 5:08Google Calendar will do it for us.
- 5:11If you want to add a location, you could do that.
- 5:13This is obviously important if you're having
- 5:15people who are traveling in for an event that they
- 5:17might not be used to traveling to your location,
- 5:19let them know the address so that they can get there properly.
- 5:21And then down here we have the notification settings. So by default, it's going
- 5:26to send us a notification one day before this event.
- 5:29So that's 24 hours before the start time of this event.
- 5:32And you'll notice that so you know, a notification is in a browser, you'll get a pop
- 5:37up. And so you do need to allow Google Calendar
- 5:39to show you pop ups in order to see those browser notifications.
- 5:43However, on your mobile device, if you have Google Calendar set up on your mobile
- 5:47phone, you will get a push notification.
- 5:49Now, if we click on this drop down, you'll notice that
- 5:52we also have the option for an email notification.
- 5:54And you know, right now it's set to one days,
- 5:56but instead of days, we could do minutes,
- 5:58hours, days or weeks. So this is before the event starts. So I could do this, you know,
- 6:02one hour before. And obviously, I could change
- 6:04this number too. So I could make it, you know,
- 6:06two hours before. So that's up to you. And I'm going to show you here in a little bit,
- 6:11when we get into our Google Calendar settings,
- 6:13how you can change the default notifications
- 6:15for your calendar so that you don't have to go
- 6:17into every event and set the notifications if
- 6:19there's a certain notification that you like to
- 6:21get every single time. So I'll show you how to
- 6:23do that once we get into the Google Calendar settings.
- 6:26But for now, you can choose whichever you'd like.
- 6:28And notice that you can add multiple notifications if you'd like as well.
- 6:30So you can do email and pop up as well. Down here in this
- 6:34section, we can choose which calendar we'd like
- 6:37to put this event on. Now, by default, it's
- 6:39going to add it to our private default Google
- 6:42Calendar that's created when we create a Google
- 6:44Calendar account. However, we can have multiple
- 6:47calendars here in Google Calendar, and I'm going
- 6:48to show you how to create and share multiple calendars.
- 6:51And if we are using multiple calendars, we want to make sure that we're choosing the
- 6:54right calendar here. Like I said, by default,
- 6:56it's going to be your personal private calendar,
- 6:58but you might have say a company calendar or I
- 7:01like to have a calendar with my wife so that we
- 7:03have family events on there. So if I'm scheduling
- 7:06a meeting or an event for the family calendar,
- 7:08I want to make sure that I'm choosing the family
- 7:10calendar here when I create the event.
- 7:12Now the next option with the suitcase symbol to the left
- 7:15is where we can specify how this event should
- 7:18affect our schedule availability. I think there
- 7:20can be some confusion about this option.
- 7:22So I want to spend a couple minutes here.
- 7:24There are really two things going on. The first one where
- 7:27it says busy, let's us specify whether or not we
- 7:30want others to see us as busy for this event or not.
- 7:34So if somebody else is going to invite us
- 7:36to an event, and we have selected busy and we go
- 7:39ahead and we save this event, if they schedule
- 7:41their event for the same time at 830 on August
- 7:437, it's going to let them know when they invite
- 7:46us that we're busy at that time. Now depending
- 7:48on what we do with the next option, they may or
- 7:50may not be able to see why we're busy.
- 7:52But the first option just lets them know that we're busy
- 7:54so they can try and reschedule the event for another time.
- 7:57If for some reason we want to appear free, we don't want people to know that we're
- 8:01doing something, or maybe it's one of those all
- 8:03day events where you still want to be invited to
- 8:06meetings, you want to mark this as free so that
- 8:08when people invite you to an event, it's not
- 8:10telling them, hey, they can't attend, they're busy,
- 8:12you want to let them invite you. So we'll leave
- 8:14this as busy because this is a half an hour in
- 8:16person meeting, and we don't want other people to
- 8:18schedule things for us over it. But do be aware
- 8:21that that's what that first option is.
- 8:23Now this second option deals with the visibility of the event itself.
- 8:28So by default, in your Google calendar,
- 8:31you actually have some settings for the calendar
- 8:34itself that deal with whether or not events are
- 8:36public or private. And by default, it's set to private.
- 8:39So by default, where it says this default
- 8:41visibility, if you haven't changed any settings in
- 8:44Google Calendar, and you choose default visibility,
- 8:46it will be a private event. So only you and the
- 8:49guests that you invite will be able to see the details.
- 8:52However, if you want this event to be public, so maybe it's going on your company
- 8:56website, or it's an organization, and you're having
- 8:58fundraisers and things like that, you would want
- 9:00to make this event public. Now, like I said, if
- 9:03you haven't made any changes, you should be safe,
- 9:05leaving it at default visibility. However, if you
- 9:07want to be sure, you can always select private,
- 9:10and then you know for sure that only you and
- 9:12the people invited will be able to see the event details.
- 9:15So we'll leave it as busy and private
- 9:18for that section. Then down here at the bottom,
- 9:21we can add an event description, notice that you
- 9:23have a lot of word processing tools that you can
- 9:26use to write that out, you can add links in here,
- 9:28you can even add attachments by uploading files.
- 9:31So if there's a brochure or an image, a PDF,
- 9:34anything like that, you can upload it right here
- 9:36to the event description. Now, once we have all
- 9:39that sorted out, we need to talk about adding
- 9:42guests to our event. So we can add guests over
- 9:44here to the right and the easiest way to add them
- 9:47is by email address. However, if you have your
- 9:49guests in your Google contacts, you can just
- 9:51start typing their name, and it will automatically pop up.
- 9:55And so this is actually the same account that I'm on.
- 9:59So let's go ahead and add another one as well.
- 10:01I guess this isn't in my contacts.
- 10:04And so we will add that person as well.
- 10:05So I just, you know, wrote the email address and then hit enter.
- 10:08You'll notice that they get added to a list down here.
- 10:11Now from here, I could hit the X to
- 10:13remove them from this event. If I've already sent
- 10:15an invitation, they'll still see the invitation
- 10:17email, you can't unsend that when they click to
- 10:19see the event details, they will no longer have
- 10:22access as long as it's a private event, right.
- 10:24And so you'll notice that when I add that second
- 10:26email address, it says that the calendar cannot be shown.
- 10:29However, if you work for an organization
- 10:31and you all use Google Calendar, or if you have
- 10:33shared calendars with somebody in your family,
- 10:36when you add them to this event, you'll see a
- 10:37different option here, which I'll show on the screen now that says suggested times.
- 10:41And if you click on that, it will check and make sure that
- 10:45all of your guests are free during the time of this event.
- 10:48And it will try to find a free slot.
- 10:50So let's say you work at a company and you maybe
- 10:52invite eight people to a meeting, you all use
- 10:54Google Calendar, you could click on suggested
- 10:56times, and it will find a time where everybody is available.
- 10:59So that's a great way to schedule
- 11:00meetings when everybody else has a busy schedule as well.
- 11:03And you're always having trouble trying
- 11:05to find the perfect time. Google Calendar can
- 11:06help you do that if everybody in your organization
- 11:09is using Google Calendar. So don't forget to
- 11:11check out that feature as well. And then down at
- 11:13the bottom, there are a few other permissions,
- 11:16you can take a look at them, they're pretty self explanatory. But do you want guests to
- 11:19be able to modify the event, so the description,
- 11:21the time, all sorts of things like that?
- 11:23Do you want them to be able to invite other people?
- 11:25And do you want them to be able to see the guest list?
- 11:28So once you've got everything figured out how
- 11:30you'd like it to be, you can go ahead and click
- 11:32on the blue Save button at the top right.
- 11:34And it lets us know, hey, we invited some people to this
- 11:37event, do we want to send them invitation emails?
- 11:40Generally speaking, if you want to notify them
- 11:43about the event, then it's probably a good idea.
- 11:45But you might have a company culture or something
- 11:47that's different than that. So obviously depends
- 11:49on your situation. But I would normally click Send.
- 11:51For now, I'm just going to click don't send
- 11:54because it's just a test event. So now you can see
- 11:57we're brought back here into Google Calendar.
- 11:59And we can see that we have our kickoff meeting
- 12:01scheduled for 830am on Monday. If we were to go
- 12:04to the next week, you can see that on the 14th,
- 12:07we also have that meeting and I could just switch
- 12:09to the month view. You'll notice that we have our
- 12:12kickoff meeting now scheduled for every Monday.
- 12:14So now that we have our meeting scheduled, we can
- 12:17actually click on it right here on the calendar.
- 12:20And it will bring up all of the details about this event.
- 12:22So we can see the title, the time, all the
- 12:24things that we specified. Now from here, we could
- 12:27modify the event by clicking on the pencil icon,
- 12:29we could delete it by clicking on the trash icon.
- 12:31And because this is a repeating event, let me
- 12:34show you, when I click on delete, it lets me know,
- 12:36do I just want to delete this single event?
- 12:38Do I want to delete this event in all of the future ones?
- 12:41Or do I want to delete this event, all the
- 12:43future ones and all of the past events that would
- 12:46be this all events option? Now I'm not going to
- 12:48do that right now, but I just want to show you how
- 12:50you could delete an event. And so we can click Cancel.
- 12:52And then notice that there are also three
- 12:54dots here that have a number of different options,
- 12:57you can duplicate events, you can print them,
- 12:59you could change the owner of it. And if this was
- 13:01a public event, you would be able to share it from here as well.
- 13:04So down here, you know, you can specify whether you are going or not.
- 13:09Generally, you are by default, it says that you're going to
- 13:12do an event that you've created, but maybe you're
- 13:14just the creator and you're not going to be there,
- 13:16you could select no here. But that's just how you
- 13:18can view your event details. So we'll just go
- 13:20ahead and close that out for now. Okay, awesome,
- 13:23that should cover events pretty well.
- 13:25Now let's talk about using multiple calendars and sharing calendars.
- 13:28So if you take a look at the left side
- 13:30of the screen, we have two sections, we have the
- 13:33my calendar section, and we have the other calendar
- 13:35section, the my calendar section will have any
- 13:38calendars that you either create or are the owner
- 13:40of. And the other calendar section will have
- 13:42calendars that have been shared with you.
- 13:44Notice that for all of these calendars, there's a little checkbox.
- 13:48And we can display and hide these calendars as we'd like. So we can have multiple
- 13:52calendars displayed at once, meaning we're going
- 13:54to see all the events from all of our calendars,
- 13:56or we could only display one calendar, if it's
- 13:58maybe a packed calendar, we don't want to view
- 14:00all the other ones, we could just look at that one.
- 14:02So you might have one for work, you might have a
- 14:04personal one, you might have a family one, and
- 14:06then you might have, you know, different ones for
- 14:08different organizations that you're part of.
- 14:09So when you're scheduling those organization events,
- 14:12you can have those calendars displayed.
- 14:13But if you're just looking at your personal life events,
- 14:15you can only display those ones. So for instance,
- 14:17if I hide the personal one, you'll notice that the
- 14:20kickoff meeting disappears, the event is still
- 14:22there, it hasn't been deleted or anything.
- 14:24But I'm just not looking at that calendar anymore.
- 14:27If we were to, you know, begin a month with a holiday,
- 14:29so September should have a holiday, the holidays
- 14:32are still there. But I could uncheck that and hide
- 14:34the holidays as well. And then I could recheck my
- 14:36personal to show the meetings. And then I could
- 14:38also show the meetings and the holidays.
- 14:40So you can mix and match these calendars however you'd like.
- 14:43That's what the checkboxes are over here on the left.
- 14:47So if we want to create a new calendar,
- 14:50the easiest way to do that is to just click on
- 14:52this plus button here next to other calendars.
- 14:55You'll notice that we have a few different options here.
- 14:57But the one that we want is create new calendar.
- 14:59We're brought here into the Google Calendar settings where we can give our calendar
- 15:05a name, a description and we can select the timezone.
- 15:09And then once we're ready, we can click create calendar.
- 15:14You'll notice that when we do that here
- 15:16in our settings, we now have another calendar
- 15:19listed work calendar, it's in the settings for my calendars.
- 15:23So if I click on work calendar,
- 15:25we're brought to this calendar settings here in
- 15:27Google Calendar settings. So these are only the
- 15:29settings for this particular calendar, but this
- 15:31is where we can share it. So I want to go through
- 15:33this since we were brought here anyways.
- 15:34So we already gave it a name, we gave it a description,
- 15:36we specified a timezone, which was automatically
- 15:39specified based on the timezone where I'm at.
- 15:42So down here, I'm not going to go through all of
- 15:44the settings in Google Calendar, but I'm going to go through the important ones.
- 15:47So first of all, we have the auto accept invitations not that important.
- 15:51This one's important. If we want this to be a public calendar, all we need to do is
- 15:54select this checkbox right here, and then we can get the shareable link to share it.
- 15:59But notice that this is where we can add people to share this calendar with.
- 16:02So I could go ahead and I could click on that.
- 16:04And then I could invite the person that I'd like to share it with. So we can know
- 16:08this could be, you know, I'm creating the work
- 16:10calendar, but I could be creating a family
- 16:12calendar, we could pretend as a family, and this
- 16:14is somebody else in my family. So I go ahead and
- 16:16enter their email address, and then I can select
- 16:18the permissions that they should have for this calendar.
- 16:20So only to see whether I'm free or busy.
- 16:23So that's a good option for your personal calendar,
- 16:26you can share it with your family.
- 16:28But if you don't want them to see the actual events,
- 16:30for whatever reason, you could just make it so they can see that you're free or busy,
- 16:33but they can't see the details, or we could
- 16:35make it so that they can see all the details,
- 16:37or they can make we could make it so they can
- 16:39make changes to events, or so that they could make
- 16:42changes and manage sharing. So obviously, that's up to you.
- 16:45Maybe for this one, I just want them
- 16:47to be able to see it. So I can go ahead and click Send.
- 16:51And then down here, I mentioned that we could specify default notifications.
- 16:55So that's where this is right here, event notifications,
- 16:58we're talking about this calendar's event notifications.
- 17:01So we can specify the default notifications for this particular calendar, just
- 17:05by clicking on this button and then adding the
- 17:07notifications like we did when creating an event.
- 17:09So I'm just going to remove that for now.
- 17:11Same thing if we wanted to create all day event notifications.
- 17:13And you'll notice that there are
- 17:15a number of other notification options in here as well.
- 17:17So when changes are made to the calendar,
- 17:20when people are invited, or the event is canceled,
- 17:22all that sort of thing, you can go in here and
- 17:24you can take a look and specify that if you'd like.
- 17:26And then down at the very bottom is where
- 17:28you can unsubscribe to a calendar that's been
- 17:30shared with you if you no longer want to see it.
- 17:32And you could also delete your calendar if you
- 17:34wanted as well, it will delete all of the events
- 17:36on that calendar. So be careful down here at the bottom.
- 17:40But okay, that's enough for the settings for right now.
- 17:43We'll be back here in a minute.
- 17:44Let's go back. And let's make sure that this
- 17:46calendar is actually working. So here it is, we
- 17:48have work calendar. So we could go ahead and,
- 17:51you know, we have this kickoff meeting, which is
- 17:53on the personal calendar, maybe I could click on this event.
- 17:57And then I could go ahead and you'll
- 17:58notice that my calendars right here, but I could
- 18:01click on the pencil, I could go into this event to
- 18:03this calendar section that we looked at earlier.
- 18:05And now I could specify that I want it on my work calendar.
- 18:08And I could give this event a particular
- 18:10color if I'd like, by default, it's just going to
- 18:12get the color of the calendar. So we go ahead and save this.
- 18:16And notice that we can change our calendar colors over here, right from the three
- 18:20dots in the list over here. But by default, all
- 18:22the events are going to get the color of the calendar.
- 18:25So we actually created this event, and it moved it to our work calendar.
- 18:30But notice something interesting, it actually duplicated this event.
- 18:33And it does that by default, just in case
- 18:35Google Calendar doesn't want you to mistakenly delete things.
- 18:38So even if I refresh the page,
- 18:39you'll notice that I still have both events.
- 18:41So now I could go to the one on the personal
- 18:42calendar, which I can tell because of the blue and
- 18:45blue, and I could hit Delete. And I could delete all the events.
- 18:48So every single one, and they're all off the personal calendar, but I now have it
- 18:51on the work calendar. And then just to show you
- 18:54something else, let's just say I had a dentist appointment.
- 18:57And that dentist appointment was at a particular time, let's say it was at 2pm.
- 19:03And I'm going to put it on my personal calendar.
- 19:06Now I can click Save, you'll notice that we have
- 19:08the work event, which is the same color as the
- 19:10work calendar, then we have the personal event,
- 19:12the same color as the personal calendar.
- 19:14And if I hide my personal calendar, it hides my personal event.
- 19:18But I can display it again, and then I
- 19:20can hide my work calendar, and it hides the work
- 19:22meetings, hide the holidays. So you can see how we
- 19:25can view all the calendars at once, or we can mix
- 19:27and match however we'd like. Okay, awesome, we've
- 19:30created and shared a calendar and know how to use
- 19:33it. There are just a few more things that I think
- 19:34you're going to find useful. First of all, up here
- 19:36at the top right, remember that there's a magnifying glass.
- 19:39And if you click on it, you can search for your events.
- 19:41So you can search by the people who
- 19:43are invited to the events, the name of the events,
- 19:45the description. And if you click on this little
- 19:47arrow over to the right, there are even more
- 19:50options about searching for, you know, who's in
- 19:52the event, or where it is, or the date range that it could be in.
- 19:56So if you're having trouble finding a particular event, this is very powerful.
- 20:00Do not forget to use the search feature. Aside from that,
- 20:03let's take a look at our Google Calendar settings.
- 20:06So I'm just going to click on this gear icon.
- 20:08And first of all, notice that we have this density
- 20:11and color option, which allow us to change some
- 20:13of the aesthetic things about our Google Calendar,
- 20:16essentially what color set we're using, and how
- 20:18dense we want the information. So do be aware that
- 20:21that is where that is. But what we really want to
- 20:23get to is the actual settings by clicking on the
- 20:26gear icon and then settings. So here we are in the settings.
- 20:29And we were here earlier, we were working in this bottom left area. And now we're
- 20:33going to go through our general Google Calendar settings.
- 20:35I'm not going to go through everyone.
- 20:36Don't worry. I'm just going to go through the important ones.
- 20:39You can click over here on the left to get to the different areas, or you can
- 20:42scroll down and it will just take you through all of them.
- 20:44So notice that, you know, we've got all
- 20:46the language country. If you are using a different
- 20:49time zone, you can change that as well.
- 20:52So these are the default event settings. So when we create
- 20:55an event on Google Calendar, by default, how long
- 20:58do we want that event to be? By default, it's 60 minutes.
- 21:00If you always create half an hour events,
- 21:02you could change the default in here if you'd like.
- 21:05And there are some default guest permissions.
- 21:08You also have some settings on how you would
- 21:11like your notifications to be displayed.
- 21:13And then you've got some view option settings,
- 21:15which I do think are important. So some people
- 21:17like to turn off weekends. Some people like to
- 21:21have their week start on Monday instead of Sunday,
- 21:24because that's the start of the work week.
- 21:26You can set a custom view. So by default, we have month
- 21:29view, we have week view, we have year view, we don't have a two week view, right?
- 21:32So you could have a two week view, or you could have, you know,
- 21:35a four day view. So there are some custom views
- 21:37in here that you can look at. And then scrolling
- 21:39down, there isn't too much more. If you want to
- 21:41be able to see your calendar offline, you can
- 21:44check this checkbox down here at the very bottom.
- 21:46That's pretty much it for the important settings,
- 21:48although you can look through on your own and see
- 21:50what you can find. So I hope you now feel
- 21:52comfortable creating events in Google Calendar,
- 21:54working with and creating multiple shared
- 21:56calendars and tweaking your account settings
- 21:59to fit your needs. If you found this video helpful, I would really appreciate a thumbs
