- 0:54without losing your mind let's get
- 0:57started
- 1:02first let's talk about why studying so
- 1:05many subjects feels so hard reason
- 1:08number one your brain isn't designed for
- 1:11chaos your brain loves structure and
- 1:14focus but when you're switching between
- 1:16math English Science and History your
- 1:19brain struggles to keep up it's like
- 1:22trying to watch for Netflix shows at the
- 1:24same time you don't fully enjoy any of
- 1:27them and you're left confused in
- 1:30Psychology this is called task switching
- 1:33and it's super inefficient research
- 1:35shows that switching between tasks can
- 1:38reduce productivity by up to 40% so if
- 1:41you're jumping from subject to subject
- 1:43without a plan you're setting yourself
- 1:45up for failure reason number two you're
- 1:49using the wrong study methods let's be
- 1:52real most of us were never taught how to
- 1:54study effectively instead we cram
- 1:57everything the night before try try to
- 2:00memorize without understanding spend
- 2:03hours rereading notes thinking we're
- 2:05being productive but according to a 2013
- 2:08study in the journal psychological
- 2:11science in the public interest these are
- 2:14some of the least effective study
- 2:16methods reason number three you're
- 2:19overwhelmed by time pressure when you've
- 2:21got multiple deadlines assignments exams
- 2:25projects it's easy to feel like there's
- 2:27not enough time and when you're
- 2:30overwhelmed your brain goes into
- 2:32survival mode instead of focusing you
- 2:35procrastinate or waste time on things
- 2:38that don't matter sound familiar don't
- 2:42worry I've been there too but now let's
- 2:45talk about how to fix
- 2:49it all right now that we know the
- 2:52problem let's dive into the solutions
- 2:55here's how you can study multiple
- 2:57subjects and still Ace them all use time
- 3:01blocking to organize your day one of the
- 3:04biggest mistakes students make is trying
- 3:06to study all their subjects in random
- 3:08chunks instead use time
- 3:12blocking assign specific blocks of time
- 3:15to each subject stick to your schedule
- 3:17like it's a meeting you can't miss
- 3:20example let's say you have 3 hours to
- 3:22study tonight here's how you can time
- 3:25block 30 minutes for science 30 minutes
- 3:28for history 10 minute break 30 minutes
- 3:32physics 40 minutes for math 40 minutes
- 3:35for
- 3:36English why does this work because your
- 3:40brain knows exactly what to focus on and
- 3:42for how long plus the variety keeps
- 3:46things
- 3:47interesting prioritize based on urgency
- 3:51and importance not all subjects are
- 3:54created equal some need more attention
- 3:56than others use the Eisenhower Matrix to
- 4:01prioritize subjects with upcoming exams
- 4:03or deadlines are high priority subjects
- 4:07you're already strong in can take a back
- 4:09seat for now example if your History
- 4:13exam is tomorrow and your math test is
- 4:15next week Focus most of your energy on
- 4:18history today once that's done shift
- 4:21your focus to math rotate subjects to
- 4:24keep your brain
- 4:26fresh studying one subject for hours can
- 4:29lead to burnout instead use the
- 4:32interleaving technique study related but
- 4:35different subjects back to back for
- 4:38example after 30 minutes of math switch
- 4:40to English mixing up topics during
- 4:43practice improves long-term retention
- 4:46compared to studying one topic for a
- 4:48long time use active recall and spaced
- 4:52repetition if you only take away one
- 4:55thing from this video Let It Be This
- 4:58active recall and space repetition are
- 5:00the ultimate study hacks active recall
- 5:04test yourself on the material instead of
- 5:06just rereading it use flash cards
- 5:09practice questions or even teach the
- 5:12material to someone else spaced
- 5:14repetition review each subject at
- 5:17intervals over time for example study
- 5:19math today review it briefly tomorrow
- 5:22then again in three days and so on use
- 5:25apps like Ani or Quizlet to automate
- 5:29spaced
- 5:31repetition create study rituals to build
- 5:34momentum studying multiple subjects
- 5:36requires discipline so make it easier by
- 5:40creating rituals start every study
- 5:42session with the same routine clear your
- 5:45desk set a timer and review your goals
- 5:49end each session by writing down what
- 5:51you'll focus on next time I know a
- 5:53student who lights a specific candle
- 5:55every time she studies it sounds simple
- 5:58but it works
- 6:00her brain Associates the candle with
- 6:02Focus mode find your own
- 6:08ritual now that we've covered the
- 6:10strategies let's shift gears you can't
- 6:14just rely on techniques you need the
- 6:16right mindset to handle studying
- 6:18multiple subjects without feeling like
- 6:20your brain is about to explode here are
- 6:23three mindset hacks that will keep you
- 6:25motivated focused and in control one
- 6:30stop chasing Perfection aim for Progress
- 6:34here's a hard truth trying to be perfect
- 6:36at everything is the fastest way to burn
- 6:38out you're not a robot and you don't
- 6:41need to master every subject overnight
- 6:44instead focus on progress not Perfection
- 6:47example let's say you're struggling with
- 6:50math instead of trying to solve every
- 6:53problem in the textbook aim to improve
- 6:55just 1% each day solve one more problem
- 6:59problem than you did yesterday over time
- 7:02those tiny improvements add up to
- 7:04massive
- 7:05results two build a strong why for every
- 7:10subject if you don't know why you're
- 7:12studying a subject it's going to feel
- 7:15pointless so connect each subject to
- 7:18your bigger goals or interests here's
- 7:21how to do it for science think about how
- 7:23it explains the world around you for
- 7:26history see it as a way to understand
- 7:29human behavior and decision-making for
- 7:32math think about how it can help you
- 7:34solve real world problems like budgeting
- 7:38or building things when you link every
- 7:40subject to a personal goal or value
- 7:43you'll naturally feel more motivated to
- 7:46study three treat studying like a
- 7:49workout for your
- 7:51brain think about it when you go to the
- 7:54gym you don't complain about lifting
- 7:56weights because you know it's building
- 7:59strength
- 8:00studying works the same way it's how you
- 8:03build mental discipline and grow your
