  1. 0:00XL Dave Barnett, I'm trapped in the UK,
  2. 0:03wages are low. Do you think it's
  3. 0:05worthwhile focusing on selling
  4. 0:06internationally? Okay. Bro, strong
  5. 0:09words. You're trapped in the UK. Are you
  6. 0:11in a cage? Is someone holding you down?
  7. 0:14Like, it's 70 million people.
  8. 0:17It's like one of the largest economies
  9. 0:18in the world. There's ton There's
  10. 0:20billionaires in in the UK.
  11. 0:23I honestly don't think that I I You have
  12. 0:25two separate parts to your question. Do
  13. 0:27I think that selling internationally is
  14. 0:28a good idea? Yes. Do I think that the
  15. 0:30fact that you're selling in the UK is
  16. 0:31the thing that's limiting you? No.
  17. 0:33I think the fact that you're saying that
  18. 0:34you're trapped
  19. 0:35uh
  20. 0:36is the thing that you were believing.
  21. 0:37Like, you were you're you're selling
  22. 0:39yourself on that lie.
  23. 0:40It's not true in any way.
  24. 0:42Like, fundamentally, you just got to get
  25. 0:43a stranger to give you money to do stuff
  26. 0:44for them. That's literally how you start
  27. 0:46a business. And you're saying you're
  28. 0:47trapped in in low-wage job. I understand
  29. 0:50that. You just do it on the other hours
  30. 0:51of the day. And then as soon as you make
  31. 0:53more on the other hours of the day,
  32. 0:54here's the cool part about being in a
  33. 0:55low-wage job.
  34. 0:57You will be able to replace your income
  35. 0:58faster because you have less to replace.
  36. 1:02Real.
  37. 1:04And so the bar of which you got to make
  38. 1:06is lower. Where you run into issues is
  39. 1:08that the way that you measure money is
  40. 1:10flawed.
  41. 1:12So basically, one of the big issues,
  42. 1:14especially when you're poor, is that you
  43. 1:15sell from your own wallet. Like, you're
  44. 1:17like, I'm broke and therefore I could
  45. 1:18not imagine someone spending more money
  46. 1:20than this. And I'll tell you a really
  47. 1:22interesting secret for me.
  48. 1:23Um
  49. 1:24the biggest prices that I've ever sold
  50. 1:26in my life proportional to what my
  51. 1:28income was was during times where I made
  52. 1:30offers that I hoped the person would say
  53. 1:32no to.
  54. 1:35So when Gym Launch started, I had this
  55. 1:37launch business where I was flying out
  56. 1:38to gyms.
  57. 1:39And the business didn't work for a
  58. 1:41variety of reasons. I mean, it made
  59. 1:42money, but like I I I There was There
  60. 1:44was flaws in the model. And so we were
  61. 1:46switching to selling uh weight loss over
  62. 1:49the phone. And so in the transition
  63. 1:51period, I was going to call or I called
  64. 1:53it eight of the businesses or the gym
  65. 1:54owners that we're we were supposed to
  66. 1:55fly out and do the launch the next
  67. 1:56month, and I told them that I wasn't
  68. 1:57going to be able to do it anymore. And
  69. 1:59so, when the first one asked me, "Hey,
  70. 2:01well, you know, you did this for a buddy
  71. 2:02of mine, it really saved his gym. Like,
  72. 2:03I know you can do it." You know, he
  73. 2:05asked me, "What would it take?"
  74. 2:07Functionally, he said, "Well, how much?"
  75. 2:09And so, I made up a price that was way
  76. 2:11beyond anything I'd ever sold. Like, I'd
  77. 2:12never sold something for $6,000 before.
  78. 2:14Like, it was crazy. I was broke, dude.
  79. 2:15Um
  80. 2:16and the guy said, "6K?" I remember him
  81. 2:18saying it like it was yesterday. He was
  82. 2:19like, "6K?" And I was like, "Yes,
  83. 2:21$6,000."
  84. 2:22Like, I enunciated it. And he was like,
  85. 2:25"Done."
  86. 2:26And I remember like floating above my
  87. 2:28body, being like, "What the [ __ ] just
  88. 2:30happened?"
  89. 2:31And then I was like,
  90. 2:32"Uh what card do you want to use for
  91. 2:34that?" And I wrote down his credit card,
  92. 2:35and I I ran a bill for $6,000, and I was
  93. 2:37like, "Holy
  94. 2:39shit." And then I had seven more calls
  95. 2:41to take, and I pitched every one of
  96. 2:42them. The next one I was like, "$8,000."
  97. 2:44The next one was $10,000. I just kept up
  98. 2:45it was like, "These guys are saying
  99. 2:46yes." The thing is it's like, the thing
  100. 2:48that got me out of that was that I
  101. 2:49didn't want them to say yes. I set a
  102. 2:50price so high that I didn't want them to
  103. 2:51say yes, and then he did, and it
  104. 2:53shattered my view of reality in terms of
  105. 2:55how much you can charge for things. And
  106. 2:56so, right now, the biggest risk that you
  107. 2:59have to your future is that you will
  108. 3:00sell to broke people, and you will sell
  109. 3:01using broke prices. And if you watch my
  110. 3:03stuff, is why I keep repeating it. It's
  111. 3:05cuz the hardest barriers in
  112. 3:06entrepreneurship are psychological, not
  113. 3:08practical. They're not reality. It's the
  114. 3:10ideas that you have about reality that
  115. 3:11are flawed. Your model of how the world
  116. 3:13works is not true. It is why you're not
  117. 3:15getting what you want out of reality.
  118. 3:17All right.
  119. 3:18Let's do the next uh
  120. 3:20next pregunta.
  121. 3:22That's Spanish, by the way.

  126. 3:28businesses past 10 million, and three

  128. 3:32completely free scaling roadmap that
  129. 3:34I've used to go from zero to one, zero
