- 0:04>> It was so many times where I would just
- 0:05sit in the car
- 0:07and I would just cry, bro. And I'd be
- 0:09like, "God, why the heck is this
- 0:11happening?" Like, I carried that
- 0:12scripture with me my whole adulthood.
- 0:15I'm walking in the things that I prayed
- 0:17for 10 years ago because you have to
- 0:19have
- 0:20inspiration and encouragement to be able
- 0:23to even get to the place of
- 0:25profitability. Me and my wife, we went
- 0:27from five streams of income to one. And
- 0:29we went to churches to get money like to
- 0:32be able to pay rent. They had chicken.
- 0:34They had uh fruits and vegetables. They
- 0:37had u
- 0:38uh diapers and wipes. Like they had all
- 0:40these different things by the grace of
- 0:42God.
- 0:43Being broke, man. Almost losing our town
- 0:46home, almost getting the cars we
- 0:48possessed, bro. like I constantly had to
- 0:51fuel myself
- 0:52with
- 0:54videos and content of seeing, okay, this
- 0:57person's doing it, this person's getting
- 0:59it done. You know, you there's outside
- 1:01noise and you just kind of have to shake
- 1:03it off, man. Like I I had a cousin tell
- 1:06me, you know, don't trade, you're going
- 1:08to get finessed, you're going to get
- 1:09scammed, like don't do it. And then I
- 1:11made 20 bands like
- 1:13a few weeks after. You know what I'm
- 1:14saying? Like asking God like, why is
- 1:16this happening? like what is going on in
- 1:18the car crying, bro.
- 1:20Big old 300lb man balling, crying.
- 1:24I felt like God told me that
- 1:28I bring you through that because I
- 1:30didn't want you preaching
- 1:31from theory and teaching from theory. I
- 1:34wanted you to teach through experience.
- 1:36>> That's good.
- 1:37>> Because of the people that I'm calling
- 1:38you to encourage, inspire,
- 1:41um, and and bless. Trading fam, this
- 1:43interview right here
- 1:45is for the person that feels as if life
- 1:49is testing them. The person that has big
- 1:51dreams and big aspirations, they have
- 1:54big
- 1:55goals
- 1:56around trading,
- 1:58but life right now is saying the
- 2:00opposite of what those goals are saying.
- 2:02This interview right here,
- 2:05I did it for you, fam.
- 2:07So, I want you to sit back and I want
- 2:09you to feel inspired
- 2:11because if God did it for one person, he
- 2:14can do it for you. Today's guest was
- 2:16literally at the food pantry. If you
- 2:18don't know what the food pantry is, he
- 2:20was literally at a place getting food
- 2:23donated to him and his family because he
- 2:25couldn't afford
- 2:27to buy it himself. But while he was at
- 2:29that food pantry, fam, he was listening
- 2:32to this very podcast, listening to
- 2:34similar stories that you're about to
- 2:36hear today,
- 2:38that got him motivated, that made him
- 2:40dream and believe that God is able to do
- 2:43it. Fam, it is my honor to present this
- 2:45interview to you. And make sure, fam,
- 2:48you hit the black subscribe button.
- 2:50Hitting that subscribe button, it allows
- 2:52for two things to happen. One, it allows
- 2:54for you to never miss another interview
- 2:55that can inspire you on your journey.
- 2:57And number two, it helps guests. It
- 3:00helps them see that this show is
- 3:02popular. This show does matter. This
- 3:05show does connect with the audience. So
- 3:07when we reach out to guests that are
- 3:08inspiring and guests that motivate you,
- 3:11they are more likely to come on the show
- 3:13because you hit that black subscribe
- 3:15button. So if you haven't already, I
- 3:17invite you to please do so. Now, without
- 3:20further delay, let's get into today's
- 3:22episode. This podcast is for educational
- 3:25purposes only. Trading involves
- 3:27significant risk and past performance
- 3:29does not equal future results. Let's get
- 3:32into the episode.
- 3:33>> You ready, bro?
- 3:34>> Ready, bro.
- 3:35>> Bro,
- 3:36this is literally like history in the
- 3:38making.
- 3:38>> This is crazy, bro. This is insane.
- 3:42This is wild. Calvin,
- 3:43>> bro, did you ever think that you would
- 3:44be on this show, bro?
- 3:46>> Nah, bro. Like, nah,
- 3:48I would dream of it, bro. I ain't think
- 3:51this was going to happen, man.
- 3:53Bro,
- 3:55>> bro, you are this show,
- 3:56>> man.
- 3:57>> You are this show. You are a
- 3:58representation of what this show means,
- 4:00bro. Let's get into it. Ladies and
- 4:02gentlemen, welcome back to the Trader
- 4:04Motivation Show, formerly the Forex
- 4:05Beginner Podcast. It's your boy Calvin
- 4:07checking in. Listen, y'all, today I got
- 4:09a guest in the building. I'm excited,
- 4:11man. We done already spent a few hours
- 4:13together. And let me tell you something,
- 4:15this ain't even an interview. This is a
- 4:17conversation.
- 4:19Ladies and gentlemen, in the building
- 4:21right now, all the way from the DMV,
- 4:24baby, Mr. Kalin
- 4:26Trades in the building, what's up?
- 4:29What's up, my brother?
- 4:30>> What's up, baby?
- 4:31>> Oh, man. Kayn, bro. So, let me tell you
- 4:33something about you, bro.
- 4:34>> Um, number one,
- 4:36>> and let me make sure I got my mic out of
- 4:38my pocket here cuz I don't need no
- 4:40audio. I don't need nothing messed up on
- 4:41this. No, you good. I don't need nothing
- 4:43messed up on this interview, bro. But
- 4:45let me tell you something about you,
- 4:46Katie.
- 4:48Bro, the thing about you that I love the
- 4:51most
- 4:52>> is that you bring hope.
- 4:54>> You are a staple, my brother,
- 4:56>> for hope. Belief that trading can and it
- 5:00will work
- 5:01>> if you put your faith in the right
- 5:02place.
- 5:03>> That's what you represent to me, bro.
- 5:05And I really want to dive into like,
- 5:08bro, where did this belief come from,
- 5:10bro? Yeah.
- 5:11>> As you're experiencing the different
- 5:13things that you had to go through and we
- 5:14going to get all up in between this
- 5:16story,
- 5:16>> but if we could just start, bro, like
- 5:19where does your belief, where does your
- 5:21optimism and your just, bro, you have so
- 5:23much like just joy inside of you, where
- 5:26does that come from in the spite of the
- 5:28adversity that you're currently facing?
- 5:30>> Wow. Bro,
- 5:31you know, my favorite scripture
- 5:34um
- 5:35is when Jesus says to a his disciples,
- 5:38"Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe
- 5:40you shall receive it and it shall be
- 5:42yours." I carried that scripture with me
- 5:44my whole adulthood, man. Like I was just
- 5:47telling my wife the other day, man, like
- 5:49I'm walking in the things that I prayed
- 5:52for 10 years ago, like financial
- 5:54abundance, healthy marriage, healthy
- 5:57happy kids. Like
- 5:59so, you know, I was just born like just
- 6:02first of all with that opt
- 6:04optimistic kind of trait, but it started
- 6:07getting nurtured once I dived into
- 6:09scripture like just a lot more about it,
- 6:11man. So that I feel like a lot of it
- 6:14comes from that, man. I think for for
- 6:18me in my
- 6:19trading journey specifically, bro, like
- 6:22you already know I told you on the phone
- 6:24already, bro, but
- 6:25you was a big part of that, bro. And you
- 6:28know, for
- 6:30for where
- 6:31I was at, bro, when I was
- 6:34trying to figure this thing out, man,
- 6:37it was it was three people specifically
- 6:40that I know for a fact. Like, if I
- 6:42needed encouragement for the day, I'm
- 6:45going to these three people. You were
- 6:46the number one person.
- 6:48>> Wow. And I told you this on the phone
- 6:50already, bro. But man,
- 6:53I was
- 6:54I would go to the pantry, the food bank,
- 6:56twice a week, and I would always put on
- 6:59the Forex Beginner podcast and I would
- 7:01either listen to one of the interviews
- 7:03or I would listen to just you in the car
- 7:06talking, bro. And
- 7:09just how this whole conversation came
- 7:11up. I told my community I wasn't going
- 7:13to cry
- 7:14cuz real G's, you know what I'm saying?
- 7:17We cry. We cry behind closed doors, you
- 7:19know.
- 7:22But man, like,
- 7:23bro, like
- 7:26I just wanted to start this conversation
- 7:28off, bro, by just saying thank you, man.
- 7:30>> Thank you for what you do for the space,
- 7:32bro. Thank you for even bringing these
- 7:34conversations back because I know the
- 7:37next generation of people who are trying
- 7:39to discover trading.
- 7:41They're going to
- 7:42have the hope and encouragement because
- 7:45Calvin is back in action with these
- 7:47interviews and these conversations and
- 7:49these these car talks, bro. So, thank
- 7:52you so much for
- 7:53um igniting something in me and giving
- 7:56me the motivation and inspiration to
- 7:58realize that,
- 7:59oh, I can I can do this, too. as a young
- 8:02black man who's finding success in the
- 8:05market, I can, you know, do that as
- 8:08well. So, thank you, bro.
- 8:09>> To God be the glory, bro.
- 8:11>> Bro, and I just want to tell you, man,
- 8:12like,
- 8:15>> like, as we discussed in the car, and
- 8:17this is going a little off of you real
- 8:19quick, but I just want to share this
- 8:21like
- 8:21>> I was really in a place where I was done
- 8:24doing these interviews.
- 8:25>> Yeah. Because when you look at the
- 8:27landscape of
- 8:29trading interviews and things like that,
- 8:32um
- 8:33you don't really see
- 8:36people that kind of relate to
- 8:39how we
- 8:41are dealing with life before we become
- 8:43profitable. Yeah.
- 8:45>> Um,
- 8:46and
- 8:48I thought that
- 8:50for some reason or another
- 8:54that
- 8:55people didn't want to hear our stories
- 8:57>> because when we look at interviews, we
- 8:59see the certain type of person all the
- 9:01time. Like if you look at trading
- 9:03interviews, it's the same type of person
- 9:05every time.
- 9:06>> And sometimes those type of people just
- 9:09don't relate
- 9:11>> with the person that's in the trenches.
- 9:13>> Yeah. that has a
- 9:14a baby, two babies
- 9:16>> y
- 9:16>> that's struggling trying to make it meet
- 9:19uh make ends meet.
- 9:21>> But then you have a person like a Kaylin
- 9:24>> that say, "Hey man, listen.
- 9:27I was at the food pantry."
- 9:29>> I was getting motivation.
- 9:30>> Hey,
- 9:31>> and I leveled up. I'm six figures plus
- 9:33in payouts.
- 9:34>> Yes.
- 9:35>> Like I found my setup.
- 9:37This simple setup. I'm rinsing and
- 9:38repeating. And we going to get into all
- 9:40of this stuff.
- 9:41>> And you did it.
- 9:42>> Yeah. But you don't look like
- 9:44the average type of person that's in an
- 9:46interview that we see today.
- 9:48>> But your story matters
- 9:50>> and it matters to the group of people
- 9:52that are watching this right now. And
- 9:54that's what this show is about. And you,
- 9:56brother, like I told you in the car,
- 9:58>> you
- 9:59are going to be the motivation that this
- 10:01show keeps going because you are a
- 10:03representation of why these interviews
- 10:06matter. I don't care what other people
- 10:08say. I don't care about all the other
- 10:10stuff and all the other stories and all
- 10:11the this and that. I don't care. Our
- 10:14stories matter. And the people that come
- 10:16on this platform, whether you believe
- 10:17what they say or you don't, somebody's
- 10:19being encouraged. And you were
- 10:21encouraged.
- 10:21>> Yes, sir.
- 10:22>> You were encouraged. Yes, sir.
- 10:24>> And that's why this platform will
- 10:25continue to be here.
- 10:26>> Cuz it's for us, bro.
- 10:28>> Yes, sir.
- 10:28>> It's for us.
- 10:29>> It's the reason I'm profitable, Calvin.
- 10:31Like, I'm serious, bro. like your show
- 10:34along with I credit it to one other
- 10:37person but your show is the reason that
- 10:40I am profitable because you have to have
- 10:43inspiration and encouragement
- 10:45>> to be able to even get to the place of
- 10:47profitability. Like you of course you
- 10:50have to have strategy, psychology, risk
- 10:52management, all that stuff. But you you
- 10:54have to believe it's possible. You know
- 10:55what I'm saying? Like if if it's if you
- 10:58don't believe that it's possible, you
- 10:59not going to get there. Amen.
- 11:01>> Like, you know what I'm saying? There's
- 11:02a certain threshold that you have to
- 11:04climb over to be able to get there. And
- 11:07I believe it's the understanding of
- 11:08believing that it's possible, bro. So, I
- 11:11credit that to you, man. I credit that
- 11:13to you.
- 11:14>> To God be the glory, bro. So, let's
- 11:15let's talk about cuz this is about you,
- 11:17man. This is about
- 11:19to my guy, bro. This my dude. This my
- 11:22brother, man.
- 11:23>> Bro, we definitely we definitely going
- 11:25to be well connected after this, bro.
- 11:27Like it's just like our energy is just
- 11:28so
- 11:30>> it's like
- 11:31>> we were friends before
- 11:33>> and we just reconnected again even
- 11:35though it's our first time meeting. You
- 11:37know what I'm saying?
- 11:38>> Well anyway um so
- 11:40>> like tell me this bro you're at the food
- 11:43pantry
- 11:43>> and for people that don't know what a
- 11:44food pantry is like explain that idea.
- 11:47What is a food pantry?
- 11:47>> So a food pantry is where you go
- 11:51to get donated food at a designated
- 11:54location. So,
- 11:56we was so broke.
- 11:58>> Uh, me and my wife, we went from five
- 12:00streams of income to one.
- 12:03>> Five streams of income.
- 12:04>> Five streams of income to one.
- 12:06>> What happened,
- 12:07>> man? A multitude of things happened. The
- 12:09big thing was that we had our second
- 12:11child.
- 12:12And so,
- 12:14you know, she took a break from, you
- 12:16know, things. And then, um, we were
- 12:18working for my dad's church as well. Um,
- 12:21and you know, just God
- 12:23that that season was up, you know what
- 12:24I'm saying? And so it she was working
- 12:27for the church as well. It's like, you
- 12:28know, so we had five solid streams of
- 12:30income. Um, I'm also an artist as well,
- 12:33like a Christian rap artist. Uh, so I
- 12:35was gigging and stuff too at the time,
- 12:37like, uh, making money from Spotify and
- 12:40all that stuff. So, you know, all these
- 12:42incomes. And I I was still making money
- 12:45here and there from Spotify, but what it
- 12:47it was going straight to bills, like,
- 12:49you know what I'm saying? Um, so a food
- 12:51pantry is
- 12:52the way that ours was set up is you
- 12:54would go on Monday and then they had one
- 12:56on Wednesday at a different location.
- 12:58And so, sorry, it was Thursday. So, I
- 13:00would go to the one on
- 13:02uh Mondays and Thursdays and they had
- 13:04like eggs,
- 13:05they had chicken, they had uh fruits and
- 13:08vegetables, they had um uh diapers and
- 13:11wipes, like they had all these different
- 13:12things. So, you know, my part of the
- 13:15city in the DMV,
- 13:17they just they were really good with
- 13:19that, you know, to be able to just
- 13:20provide that stuff for residences that
- 13:22need it, man. We went to churches to get
- 13:24money, like to be able to pay rent. And
- 13:28through that season of us
- 13:31being broke, man, almost losing
- 13:34our town home, um,
- 13:37almost getting the cars repossessed,
- 13:39bro. Like
- 13:40I
- 13:41we never
- 13:43went hungry and we never missed a rent
- 13:45payment by the grace of God.
- 13:48It don't make sense how
- 13:50we
- 13:53didn't get kicked out of our place. Bro,
- 13:57it was so many times where I would just
- 13:58sit in the car
- 14:00and I would just cry, bro. And I'd be
- 14:02like, "God, why the heck is this
- 14:04happening?" Like, I've served you my
- 14:06whole adulthood. Like I've been
- 14:09I've been in ministry my whole
- 14:10adulthood, Calvin. Like I
- 14:12serving youth, like working with
- 14:14organizations, trying to get young
- 14:16people to
- 14:18not just believe in Christ, but to just
- 14:21live better lives, bro. And
- 14:24so I'm just asking God like, why is this
- 14:26happening? Like what is going on? In the
- 14:28car crying, bro.
- 14:30Big old 300lb man balling, crying.
- 14:33And um
- 14:35I just felt like God
- 14:37revealed it to me last week of why
- 14:41he took me through that. He took us
- 14:43through that. I felt like God told me
- 14:45that
- 14:47I bring you through that because I
- 14:49didn't want you preaching
- 14:51from theory and teaching from theory. I
- 14:54wanted you to teach through experience.
- 14:56>> That's good.
- 14:57>> Because of the people that I'm calling
- 14:58you to encourage, inspire,
- 15:00um and and bless.
- 15:02And so that that's
- 15:05Yeah. Yeah.
- 15:07>> And you doing that, bro. You are like
- 15:09I've watched some of your videos
- 15:11>> um spying on you before,
- 15:13you know, I said to invite you for the
- 15:15show,
- 15:16>> but man, like that's what
- 15:18>> when you open your mouth,
- 15:21that's when I feel I feel inspired. I
- 15:24feel hope.
- 15:25>> I feel like you know
- 15:27>> the struggle. You understand what it's
- 15:30like to not have. How long was that
- 15:32period of
- 15:34of just like not having
- 15:37basic needs so to speak met? Like
- 15:40>> just how long were you in that desert
- 15:42season?
- 15:42>> It's probably a full year. Probably
- 15:44>> that's a long time to be
- 15:46>> in limbo
- 15:47>> with stability and things like that.
- 15:49>> Yeah. My wife called it our mana season.
- 15:52>> Oh, I love that.
- 15:53>> Yeah. Like
- 15:54God will provide
- 15:56>> what you need
- 15:57>> just for the day.
- 15:58>> Right on time,
- 16:00>> man. That's good.
- 16:01>> It was hard, bro.
- 16:03It was so hard. It, you know,
- 16:05I'm I'm so And God really worked on my
- 16:08faith in that season, too.
- 16:09>> Mhm.
- 16:10>> And that's why I feel like I can really
- 16:12trust God on a deeper level because of
- 16:14that season, man. Like my wife is full
- 16:16on.
- 16:18Let's just have faith. God's going to
- 16:19provide and he's going to do it. And my
- 16:22thing is faith without thy works is
- 16:23dead. If you don't work, you don't eat.
- 16:26And so in that moment of me trying to
- 16:27learn how to trade, I applied to like 40
- 16:29jobs.
- 16:30I didn't get one
- 16:32interview. Actually, I did get one
- 16:34interview. It was with the local rec
- 16:36center.
- 16:37They told me to turn my camera on. They
- 16:39didn't have their cameras on and they
- 16:41was just asking me a whole bunch of
- 16:42random questions that had nothing to do
- 16:44with it. I was like,
- 16:46I
- 16:46I don't know about this.
- 16:48>> Um,
- 16:49>> so yeah.
- 16:51The blessing though from it though
- 16:52Calvin like after that year
- 16:56I start becoming profitable
- 16:59it's really crazy bro because things
- 17:02kind of started shifting at the same
- 17:05time
- 17:06>> I become I'm starting to become
- 17:07profitable. Um
- 17:10it was around
- 17:14November where things really started
- 17:15clicking. I was like, "Oh,
- 17:17if I do this, if I wait, if I
- 17:19see this setup, if I do, so it starts
- 17:21clicking, right?" And then it was
- 17:23December
- 17:24where, you know, uh,
- 17:28sorry, it was August
- 17:31where I
- 17:32get a call to become a Bible teacher.
- 17:36>> So, I'm a part-time Bible teacher going
- 17:38to the school once a week. So, that's
- 17:40helping our finances tremendously. Then
- 17:42my wife gets a call
- 17:45uh to work at our church.
- 17:46>> And so finances are starting to come in.
- 17:48Like we're hitting the bare minimum,
- 17:50like the the bottom line, like, okay, we
- 17:52can pay our bills.
- 17:54We can kind of pay our our our car cuz
- 17:57we were still paying on it. Um all that
- 17:59stuff. And
- 18:02I become I start becoming profitable.
- 18:05Um
- 18:06and I passed my first eval.
- 18:09Mhm.
- 18:09>> I remember my wife said, "Babe, what do
- 18:12you want for Christmas?" This is in
- 18:14December. I said, "Bae, I just want
- 18:17>> the Topstep Eval plaque if I pass this
- 18:20eval." I still got that John in my
- 18:22house.
- 18:22>> That's beautiful.
- 18:24>> It's crazy. So, that's when it first
- 18:26started off.
- 18:27>> Mhm.
- 18:28>> And then, uh, of course, I blew it right
- 18:30after. I was devastated.
- 18:33>> No payout on that one.
- 18:34>> No payout on that joke.
- 18:35>> Oh my goodness. I, so when I say I
- 18:37started becoming profitable, I really
- 18:39mean like that's when it started
- 18:40clicking, like cuz
- 18:42there's tears, right? You have
- 18:43unprofitable, you have break even,
- 18:45profitable, consistently profitable.
- 18:47Like, I was at the place where I was
- 18:50kind of
- 18:51coming out of unprofitable in that break
- 18:53even stage, cuz I wasn't blowing the
- 18:55account but I wasn't passing it, like I
- 18:57wasn't getting the payout, but so I'm,
- 18:59you know, kind of up and down with it.
- 19:00And then,
- 19:01um,
- 19:02it was a couple months after I actually
- 19:04became like profitable, got the first
- 19:05payout out. Uh, it was a
- 19:08$1,000
- 19:10$10.
- 19:11>> He remembers the dollar amount.
- 19:12>> I Oh, yeah.
- 19:14Never going to forget that jump.
- 19:15>> I love it.
- 19:16>> Trading fam, I know you enjoying the
- 19:17podcast episode, but I want to share
- 19:19with you real quick how everyday traders
- 19:22like you and I can turn $320
- 19:25into over $250,000
- 19:28in funded trading capital. Follow me
- 19:31real quick. First thing you want to do
- 19:33is head over to blueguardian.com.
- 19:35Once you're on bluegardian.com, you want
- 19:37to select markets right here at the top.
- 19:39They have the option for you to choose
- 19:41between CFDs, which is traditional
- 19:43forex, or futures. For this example,
- 19:45we're going to go with futures. You're
- 19:46going to scroll down. Once you scroll
- 19:48down and it says choose your plan,
- 19:51you're going to select the reserve plan.
- 19:53Then you're going to go down and select
- 19:5550K account. There is absolutely no time
- 19:58limit. You can take your time. There is
- 20:00no activation fees. Now, here's where
- 20:02things get super sweet. Once we pass the
- 20:04evaluation and we make it over to the
- 20:06funded stage, this is where there is a
- 20:099010
- 20:10profit split. That's right. 90%of the
- 20:12payout to the trader, 10%
- 20:15back to the prop firm. Amazing. Next
- 20:17thing is
- 20:18once making it to funded stage, there is
- 20:21no need to build a buffer on your
- 20:24account. Also, there is no consistency
- 20:26rule in the funded account. To qualify
- 20:29for a payout, all we got to do is
- 20:31maintain at least
- 20:33$150
- 20:35over five trading days, and that will
- 20:38qualify us for our payout. As you can
- 20:40see, the reserve 50k account is $75.
- 20:44But if we just scroll down
- 20:46and we turn the quantity up to five
- 20:49accounts, we can get all five accounts,
- 20:52which will put our total
- 20:54capital, funded capital at 250,000.
- 20:57We can get that for 320.
- 20:59But here's how. Let's go ahead and hit
- 21:02start challenge.
- 21:04And once we hit start challenge and we
- 21:05go to checkout, what you're going to see
- 21:07is that the total is actually going to
- 21:09be 3.45. But that's where I'm going to
- 21:12be a blessing to you. I want you to go
- 21:14right here to where it says enter coupon
- 21:16code. Right there where it says enter
- 21:18coupon code, enter the coupon code,
- 21:20Calvin. That's C A L V I N.
- 21:24C A L
- 21:25V I N.
- 21:27Click apply.
- 21:28And once you do that, fam, that's going
- 21:30to bring that discount down and turn
- 21:33that price down to 320. So now you got
- 21:37five accounts for $320.
- 21:39And that's going to put you at $250,000
- 21:43of funded trading capital. And this deal
- 21:46is exclusively with blueguardian.com.
- 21:50Check them out today.
- 21:51>> You worked for years, bro.
- 21:53>> Yeah. I always talk about, man, like I
- 21:54used to
- 21:56blow in the account, bro, and go in the
- 21:58shower and cry
- 22:00and let the water run down my back, bro.
- 22:02>> Isn't the shower the best place to just
- 22:04soak in your s?
- 22:06>> It is, bro, cuz you can mask the tears
- 22:09with
- 22:11>> Yo,
- 22:11the shower has helped me in so many
- 22:14situations.
- 22:14>> For real, bro.
- 22:16>> It's it's it's it's crazy. Um,
- 22:18>> nobody can hear you in that joke.
- 22:21I have this I have this joke with my
- 22:23wife.
- 22:24>> You know, she'll come downstairs
- 22:26and uh you know the meme online where
- 22:28they say like the pajamas that the wives
- 22:30have on when they like want to get busy.
- 22:33>> Oh yeah yeah yeah.
- 22:35>> So she'll come down and I'm like okay.
- 22:37I'm thinking all right. I'm thinking she
- 22:39trying to send a signal, right?
- 22:41>> I go upstairs. She be like boy I'm going
- 22:43to sleep. Go take a shower.
- 22:44>> Oh my god. Oh yeah.
- 22:46>> So the shower is like my spot. All
- 22:48right. It it it
- 22:50cools me down when I'm hot and I want my
- 22:52wife and my wife like I'm going to
- 22:53sleep.
- 22:54>> It's there for me when I just need to
- 22:56just Man, I had a long day. You know
- 22:58what I'm saying? Like I just want the
- 22:59stress of the day to just fall off.
- 23:01>> And then thirdly, I think the shower is
- 23:02a great place to just spend time with
- 23:04God. You know what I'm saying? For sure.
- 23:06For sure. Did it this morning, man? Just
- 23:08thanking God this morning, bro. Like
- 23:10woke up at 5 this morning, you know, to
- 23:12get out here. Like I was like just God,
- 23:15what are you doing right now? like just
- 23:18moment of reflection. It really is. It
- 23:20really is. It's a
- 23:20>> beautiful thing. It's a beautiful thing.
- 23:22So,
- 23:23>> when you guys were going through that
- 23:24hard financial time, did any family
- 23:26members know uh like what you guys were
- 23:28going through or were you just kind of
- 23:30keeping it to yourselves?
- 23:32>> Um
- 23:33yeah. Um
- 23:34her parents knew, my parents knew, we my
- 23:37aunt knew, you know,
- 23:42we started becoming a lot more private
- 23:44around that time. Um
- 23:48cuz there were a few people that like
- 23:51didn't understand what was happening.
- 23:53Like they you know how people either
- 23:55like project or they'll
- 23:58try to
- 24:00um
- 24:02speak insecurities out like we we were
- 24:05getting a lot of that man like and I
- 24:07really felt like it was opposition you
- 24:09know cuz we were trying you know what
- 24:11I'm saying? like I I I applied to 40
- 24:13jobs. Like we were trying, you know. Um
- 24:16so people didn't really understand. So
- 24:18we we got a few
- 24:20a few of that and I think we realized
- 24:22that okay, we probably need to
- 24:24pull back on just sharing this
- 24:26information. So that that's where we
- 24:27became a lot more like private about it.
- 24:30So even now like
- 24:31as we're in a financial thriving space,
- 24:34like we still keep that level of
- 24:37privacy. You know what I'm saying? Like
- 24:39even in my community, like right now,
- 24:41like I I don't share payouts anymore.
- 24:43Like I don't share
- 24:45um withdrawals. I I I will show gains
- 24:48sometimes like but I was doing it so
- 24:50heavy like when I first started posting
- 24:53online about like my journey,
- 24:55>> but
- 24:57>> she pulled me to the side and was like,
- 24:58"Honey, you got to stop doing that, man.
- 25:00Like it's people asking me for money."
- 25:02Like, you know what I'm saying? Like
- 25:04>> and I think that's the part
- 25:07>> that is not considered.
- 25:09>> Yeah.
- 25:10>> Because you know
- 25:12online
- 25:14wants you to be transparent about
- 25:16everything.
- 25:16>> Yeah.
- 25:17>> But online forgets that there's a real
- 25:20life.
- 25:20>> Yeah. Facts
- 25:21>> that you have to live.
- 25:22>> Yes.
- 25:23>> Every single day.
- 25:24>> Yes.
- 25:24>> And what online has to understand is
- 25:26that
- 25:28anybody can get on.
- 25:29Anybody can see.
- 25:31Right. So your neighbor
- 25:33>> Y
- 25:34>> could see everything
- 25:37that you're making from trading and
- 25:39never have a word to say to you.
- 25:41>> Yep.
- 25:42>> Because if you're just this transparent
- 25:44person and you're putting it out there,
- 25:46>> they can literally be counting some of
- 25:48your money.
- 25:48>> Yep. Facts. And I I we can't do that,
- 25:51man. Like we have to protect ourselves.
- 25:53You know what I'm saying? Like we're
- 25:54just in that season. like it's
- 25:57like it it it
- 25:59it
- 26:00hurt for a little bit because I felt
- 26:02like it would affect my credibility as a
- 26:04trader, as somebody who's profitable.
- 26:07But I think over time I realized that
- 26:09it's not
- 26:11even about
- 26:13me proving to to people that I can do
- 26:16this. It's really more of an ego thing
- 26:18of like, oh yeah, look, 10K, boom, look,
- 26:2120K, look. You know what I'm saying?
- 26:23It's really like me fueling the ego, but
- 26:25what it's also doing is
- 26:28it's exposing too much to people. It's
- 26:30like they're counting pockets. It's
- 26:31like,
- 26:32bro, like when I tell you it's like, and
- 26:35it's no shade to them, but it's like the
- 26:37amount of people, bro, that have asked
- 26:39me for money
- 26:41that I haven't talked to in like 10 plus
- 26:43years. Like, I'm still like you said,
- 26:45regular. Like, I'm not
- 26:48famous. Like, I'm not, you know what I'm
- 26:50saying? like there's still a certain
- 26:51level of access to me. You know what I'm
- 26:53saying? So it's
- 26:54it gets stressful. Like
- 26:57and even the people that I don't know,
- 26:59man, people ask me for money every
- 27:01single day.
- 27:02>> Yeah.
- 27:03>> Every day, bro. And it's like I
- 27:06I have to respond to DMs cuz it's like
- 27:08that's how I get people in my community.
- 27:10That's how like we grow what what we're
- 27:12doing. That's how we grow the movement.
- 27:14But it's like when there's 50 people
- 27:16asking for $30,000,
- 27:18like
- 27:19what are you talking about? Can you have
- 27:2130 bands? Like
- 27:23like bro, I got screenshots to prove it,
- 27:27bro. It's insane.
- 27:28But
- 27:29um Yeah. Yeah.
- 27:31>> Wow.
- 27:31>> Yeah.
- 27:32>> That's interesting.
- 27:34>> $30,000. Wow.
- 27:36>> Um
- 27:38>> but isn't it amazing though?
- 27:39>> Yeah. to see
- 27:41where you come from, literally in the
- 27:44food pantry,
- 27:45>> losing income streams,
- 27:48>> and to now be the person
- 27:51>> that people
- 27:53have the audacity and the confidence to
- 27:56ask for $30,000. It ain't like they
- 27:58asking for $3, $30,
- 28:00$300,
- 28:01$30,000.
- 28:03>> Crazy.
- 28:03>> Isn't that amazing how things can just
- 28:06switch like that?
- 28:07>> Insane, bro. And I mean like
- 28:10the financial abundance that we have
- 28:11now, you know, I said this in the car,
- 28:13but it's like
- 28:14this thing kicked off like eight months
- 28:16ago, bro. I probably had
- 28:20maybe
- 28:21eight bands on my account. You know what
- 28:23I'm saying? Just from a few payouts.
- 28:25>> Yeah.
- 28:26>> It's crazy now.
- 28:28>> It ain't crazy like that. Let me let me
- 28:30pull it back.
- 28:31>> Talk your talk.
- 28:33>> Pull it back. talk.
- 28:35>> It ain't crazy cuz I talk to other
- 28:37traders.
- 28:38>> Yeah.
- 28:38>> It ain't crazy.
- 28:39>> But it ain't about other traders. It's
- 28:41about you.
- 28:41>> For sure. For me, it's crazy.
- 28:43>> It's all about you.
- 28:44>> Yeah. Cuz I used to have to stretch $50
- 28:46a week.
- 28:47>> Exactly. Come on.
- 28:48>> Or a month. Sorry. You know what I'm
- 28:50saying? So, it is crazy. You know, um
- 28:53Yeah, bro.
- 28:54>> I love that, bro. So, let's walk through
- 28:56this.
- 28:57>> Um
- 28:58you're going through this
- 29:01>> horrible time, just tough financial
- 29:02time.
- 29:03>> Yeah. But you're believing.
- 29:04>> Yeah.
- 29:05>> What promises
- 29:07did you feel
- 29:09were inside of you that hey, I know
- 29:12that this is going to happen? Like what
- 29:14were you standing on? Walk us through
- 29:16what that looks like to believe
- 29:18something even when everything around
- 29:21you is saying the opposite.
- 29:23>> Yeah, that's good, man.
- 29:24>> Yeah. Um
- 29:27it it it was the Forex Beginner Podcast
- 29:30or formerly known as you know
- 29:32for uh uh Forest Beginner podcast man
- 29:35cuz cuz
- 29:36it
- 29:37again it was the understanding that okay
- 29:40this is possible for other people like
- 29:42there's other people doing this.
- 29:44So I I
- 29:46constantly had to fuel myself
- 29:49with
- 29:50videos and content of seeing, okay, this
- 29:53person's doing it. This person's getting
- 29:55it done.
- 29:56>> It took this person this long. So, I,
- 29:59you know, even in my study because I'm,
- 30:01I get so
- 30:02invested in something when I'm
- 30:04interested, like, I, I already had in my
- 30:07mind that, okay, this probably going to
- 30:08take two to three years to figure out
- 30:10because I
- 30:11noticed the pattern
- 30:14that I was seeing from people was that,
- 30:16oh yeah, I became profitable after my
- 30:18second year; I became profitable after
- 30:20my third year. So I you know I I
- 30:22anticipated it. So I think for me it was
- 30:25really just weather,
- 30:27but also the times where I felt like
- 30:28quitting. Like,
- 30:30what's talking about this week?
- 30:32For real
- 30:34,what what, shoot, what's Juvier talking
- 30:36about this week? What's Swag talking
- 30:37about? What's uh FX Carlos talking about
- 30:40this week? Like what, what are all these
- 30:41people talking about that I know can
- 30:43fuel me up to get me to where what's
- 30:46Doyle talking about? You know what I'm
- 30:47saying? like what are all these people
- 30:49talking about that I know can fuel me up
- 30:52to get me
- 30:53to the point of
- 30:55constantly believing that this is
- 30:56possible. You know what I'm saying?
- 30:58>> So yeah,
- 30:59>> that's what it looked like.
- 31:00>> Yeah.
- 31:01>> So spiritually
- 31:02>> Yeah.
- 31:04>> because you are
- 31:05very firm
- 31:07>> in what you believe.
- 31:08>> Yeah.
- 31:09>> What was happening spiritually? Like did
- 31:12you ever doubt
- 31:13>> God?
- 31:14I did.
- 31:15>> Um
- 31:16>> Okay. I did. I did. And my wife had to
- 31:19always keep me in check cuz she's the
- 31:21faith filled one.
- 31:24And I think like
- 31:26at the time, bro, I was mad at God, bro.
- 31:29Um,
- 31:30and I never would admit it cuz I always
- 31:32hated when people said, "I'm mad at
- 31:34God." It's like, "Bro, you alive right
- 31:35now. What you mean you mad at God?" But
- 31:38man, like I I think I was mad at God,
- 31:40bro. Not I think I know I was, bro.
- 31:42Like,
- 31:44>> but I but I I've seen God be good, man.
- 31:47Like, in the past, like I
- 31:49I just seen the patterns of things that
- 31:51God has done for me in the past. So, I
- 31:53knew I wasn't forsaken.
- 31:55So, it's probably less anger. It was
- 31:57probably more disappointment, you know?
- 31:59It was like,
- 32:00thank God, like, we really going through
- 32:02this. Like, this is
- 32:04this sucks, man. Like,
- 32:06shoot, I blew another account. I follow
- 32:09my trading plan. This sucks, man. you
- 32:11know, um,
- 32:13>> so it's more disappointment. Um,
- 32:17and God, he had to rip that out of me,
- 32:19man. Like just even the the slightest
- 32:22hint of doubt, like just like I don't
- 32:24even think God really want me doing
- 32:26this. Like God will always rip me out of
- 32:27it because bro, I probably quit trading
- 32:30like 20 times. Like I probably quit this
- 32:32job 20 times, bro. Man, I quit. I'm done
- 32:35with this crap, man. Forget this crap,
- 32:37man. I'm drop shipping now, bro.
- 32:39I'm affiliate marketer, man. Forget this
- 32:42crap, man. But it's like God kept
- 32:44pulling me to it. You know what I'm
- 32:45saying? Like,
- 32:47>> so those times where you quit,
- 32:49how long did those moments last?
- 32:51>> One day.
- 32:54One day,
- 32:56man. I quit on Wednesday, bought another
- 32:59on Thursday.
- 33:02>> We back.
- 33:03>> Yeah, we right back. We right back, man.
- 33:05Forget I ain't quitting. I ain't no
- 33:06quitter, you know. And and but I always
- 33:08felt like God like, you know, uh uh uh I
- 33:11I would hear uh Kelly OG say this a lot.
- 33:14You need to have market tuition. You got
- 33:16to get that market tuition. And
- 33:18it was just some it was things like that
- 33:20that would just constantly remind me
- 33:21like
- 33:22you you going you going to blow
- 33:23accounts, bro. Like it's part of it.
- 33:25Like if you're trading evals
- 33:28and you have $2,000 of draw down, you go
- 33:31even now, Calvin. Like to this day, I be
- 33:34blowing evals. You know what I'm saying?
- 33:35like if my in and which you know I I
- 33:39need to up what I do now cuz I do like
- 33:41100 I do 50k accounts. I need to like up
- 33:43it more.
- 33:44>> Why do you feel and it's crazy like I
- 33:47want you to continue but I want to jump
- 33:48in there though.
- 33:49>> Why do you feel that you need to up like
- 33:51the eval?
- 33:53>> So
- 33:54I because of the draw down. The only
- 33:56reason why I do 50k accounts
- 33:59let me give you the play. So this the
- 34:00play this this this this what I tell
- 34:02people that that you got to do right.
- 34:04So, you get one account, right? And
- 34:06preferably it'll be a 50k account. You
- 34:08pass that eval, you get a payout, you
- 34:11get two more. Of course, pay the trader,
- 34:13but
- 34:14save for two more. So, now get those two
- 34:16funded, get payout on all three,
- 34:19get three more. So, now you continue to
- 34:22compound until you have at least 10 like
- 34:24prop firm funded accounts. When you're
- 34:27copy trading all of those accounts, you
- 34:29make a $100 a day, that's a,000. You
- 34:31make a,000 a day, that's 10. So if
- 34:33you're compounding all these accounts,
- 34:35the payouts are much much more.
- 34:38>> Yeah.
- 34:38>> I think
- 34:40for me
- 34:41when I realize that, okay, I dropped the
- 34:43ball on on this trade, like cuz I try to
- 34:45risk like five to make
- 34:49a,000 or 15, like depending on what the
- 34:51market's doing. Sometimes I'll scale in
- 34:53deeper, go a little more aggressive.
- 34:54Like I'll risk like a,000 to try to make
- 34:57two. You know what I'm saying?
- 34:58per account, which would equal out to
- 35:01like 10 20 bands depending on how much
- 35:03I'm copying.
- 35:04>> Um, so
- 35:05that's kind of the the play of how I do
- 35:07it. So what I recommend that people do
- 35:10is that they start with one,
- 35:12>> try to compound to get to 10,
- 35:15copy all of them, and
- 35:18get payouts. The reason why I like prop
- 35:20firms a lot more than the personal
- 35:22account. Of course, talk to your local
- 35:23CPA,
- 35:24but um
- 35:26you know, you get taxed differently, you
- 35:28know, um
- 35:29you get taxed as a contractor, right?
- 35:33Yeah. So, like it's it's not the capital
- 35:35gain. So, the percentage is a lot
- 35:37significant. When you blow an account,
- 35:39you can write that off. Like, you know,
- 35:41all it's a lot of stuff that that you
- 35:43know that plays a factor in it. So, for
- 35:45me,
- 35:46um
- 35:47I that's just kind of my bag. You know
- 35:49what I'm saying? Like that's where I
- 35:50found the most success at. And um that's
- 35:52what I encourage people to do,
- 35:53especially if they're beginners. Like
- 35:55instead of
- 35:56putting $2,000 in the market, go blow
- 36:00$70 versus 2,000.
- 36:02And you know what I'm saying? Hit that
- 36:03reset button. Like, you know,
- 36:06I'm friends with that reset button, boy.
- 36:10But
- 36:11you know, so that's that's just Yeah.
- 36:14So,
- 36:14I think that's that's really like
- 36:18the best play for beginners, like for
- 36:20people who are trying to
- 36:22um figure out how to scale a lot quicker
- 36:24>> cuz you know like when when you started
- 36:26and like the people that you guys
- 36:27interview like you know that you
- 36:29interviewed like
- 36:30>> they didn't there wasn't prop firms back
- 36:31then you know what I'm saying like y'all
- 36:33y'all had to get it from the trenches.
- 36:35It's easy for us now. You know what I'm
- 36:37saying? Like
- 36:38>> No, I did prop firms.
- 36:39>> Oh, you did?
- 36:40For sure. For sure.
- 36:41>> Oh, you did? Okay. So the people before
- 36:43you did. Okay.
- 36:44>> I just
- 36:45personally I just started putting my own
- 36:47money in the market maybe like 2 and a
- 36:48half years ago.
- 36:49>> Really? Okay.
- 36:50>> But from 21
- 36:52first funded account was
- 36:54October 1st,
- 36:552021.
- 36:56>> Oh wow.
- 36:57>> From that point up until
- 36:59>> I want to say
- 37:01up until
- 37:03>> like somewhere in 24.
- 37:05>> Yeah.
- 37:06>> It was just straight P firms.
- 37:08>> Really? Okay. Yeah. So, I'm still in
- 37:10that stage like, you know, cuz I I've
- 37:12only been profitable for like two years.
- 37:15You know what I'm saying?
- 37:15>> I mean, that's that's good. That's
- 37:17consistency for sure.
- 37:19>> Yeah. Yeah.
- 37:19>> So, let me So,
- 37:22>> the 50K
- 37:23>> Yeah.
- 37:24>> My thoughts on it is that I think
- 37:26mathematically the 50ks are the ones
- 37:29that make the most sense.
- 37:30>> Yeah, for sure.
- 37:31>> Because you got 2K draw down and you
- 37:32only got to make 3K.
- 37:34>> Yeah,
- 37:34>> that's that's good.
- 37:36>> Yeah. I saw some
- 37:38150k accounts where I think draw down is
- 37:41what? 4K.
- 37:42>> Yeah.
- 37:42>> But you got to make 9K.
- 37:44>> You know what I'm saying? So, that's
- 37:45true.
- 37:46>> Yeah. Like, like the 50K is like the the
- 37:48sweet spot.
- 37:48>> Yeah, that is true.
- 37:49>> You know, that's true
- 37:50>> because you're risking 2K to make 3K.
- 37:52That's
- 37:53>> that's easier to
- 37:54>> Yeah. Yeah, that's true.
- 37:55>> You know, I don't know.
- 37:56>> No, no, that's good. That's really good.
- 37:58I think
- 38:00>> and it's more cost effective, too.
- 38:02cuz most of the 50k accounts like you
- 38:05not going to pay over 120 for them.
- 38:07>> Exactly.
- 38:07>> You know what I'm saying? For these
- 38:08150s. That's why like
- 38:11>> bro I'm I'mma seek therapy but it's like
- 38:13bro I still be feeling like I'm broke.
- 38:15Like I'll still move like it. So I'm
- 38:18like dang like which is good too. It's
- 38:20good too. You know what I'm saying? But
- 38:22it's like dang 120. Like ouch. But I
- 38:25like forget it. Like you know what I'm
- 38:27saying? Like we're good now. you know,
- 38:29but it's like when I think about, oh
- 38:31man, like I got to put on 120. It it's
- 38:33it's something that that's kind of
- 38:35triggering about it. I I can't pinpoint
- 38:36it yet, but I know it's
- 38:38>> I know it's attached to some sort of
- 38:40financial trauma. You know what I'm
- 38:42saying? So,
- 38:43>> but then also too, like you mentioned,
- 38:44like you still lose
- 38:47>> some accounts.
- 38:48>> Yeah.
- 38:49>> So, it could be that you know the prop
- 38:52firm
- 38:53like how is the system is set up.
- 38:55>> Yeah.
- 38:57You're going to lose some before you
- 38:59make.
- 39:00>> Yeah.
- 39:01>> And
- 39:02how our tendency is with prop firms,
- 39:05especially on
- 39:06the future side,
- 39:08it's so
- 39:09like a eval is so disposable, so to
- 39:11speak.
- 39:12>> So disposable.
- 39:12>> And you don't want to spend too much
- 39:14time on it.
- 39:15>> Fact.
- 39:15>> So it's like once you get like less than
- 39:19a thousand in draw down, you just like,
- 39:21okay, we'll just recycle like, okay,
- 39:22move on to the next one. And so it could
- 39:24be our mentality as well, like we're
- 39:26just looking to move and then we're such
- 39:28in a system that we know, okay,
- 39:31>> out of three evals I take, I know
- 39:32guaranteed I'm going to pass one out of
- 39:34the first three.
- 39:35>> So boom, I'mma pass that one or I'm
- 39:36going to pass two out of the first
- 39:38three. And then out of those two, one is
- 39:40going to make it to a payout. And then
- 39:41boom, that payout will make up all the
- 39:44expenses and put me in profit. So our
- 39:46mind is kind of used to that. And so we
- 39:49just don't take the due diligence to go
- 39:51through it the right way the way we
- 39:53would if it was
- 39:54>> like a 50k personal account.
- 39:56>> No, it's true. It's very true. So it's
- 39:58very true. And one of the things that I
- 40:00tell people when they are doing
- 40:03eval because
- 40:05>> a lot of people when they get funded,
- 40:08which
- 40:09I've done this before too, they'll get
- 40:11funded and blow the account right after.
- 40:14It's because there's evals are
- 40:16disposable, right? And
- 40:18it's one of those things where we're
- 40:19hustling so hard to get funded. Like
- 40:22like you said, we're not trying to sit
- 40:23on it all day. Like for me, if I don't
- 40:25pass it, if I buy Eval on Monday and I
- 40:28don't pass it by Friday, I'm full
- 40:29porting and starting over.
- 40:32One of my coaches told me I don't go uh
- 40:35this is so bad.
- 40:37One of my coaches, he said, "We don't go
- 40:39into the uh uh into the weekend with
- 40:41draw down. That's illegal."
- 40:46That's a shirt.
- 40:47>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to the
- 40:49weekend with draw down. If I'm in draw
- 40:50down, we full party. We passing or
- 40:53blowing this day.
- 40:55>> Shout out to Coach Jason, man. But yeah,
- 40:57that's Yeah.
- 40:58>> Hey, I got a question.
- 41:00>> Yeah.
- 41:03As a man of faith, is it
- 41:05is it
- 41:09disheartening or
- 41:11is it is it a sin to full port on
- 41:13Sunday?
- 41:14>> Oh my god.
- 41:15Ooh,
- 41:17it might be though.
- 41:18>> When the market open, is it a le is a
- 41:21sin
- 41:22in the spirit to full port on a Sunday?
- 41:26>> It might. It depend on what the motive
- 41:28is though.
- 41:29>> Depend on what the motive depend on what
- 41:30the motive is. The issue of the heart.
- 41:32>> Yeah, the issue of the heart. Come on.
- 41:33>> Oh, God.
- 41:34>> Tighten up.
- 41:35>> All right. Go ahead. Continue, man.
- 41:36>> Need deliverance on that jump.
- 41:39>> Yeah, man.
- 41:41So, so yeah, that So, because people are
- 41:44so heavy in the grind of trying to pass
- 41:46a eval, they take that to the funded
- 41:49stage. And
- 41:51cuz I talk to people all the time about
- 41:53this, like I don't understand why I'm
- 41:56getting funded and then I'm blowing the
- 41:58account as soon as I, you know, pass the
- 42:01eval. It's like you're carrying the same
- 42:03mentality
- 42:05as you were with the eval.
- 42:07>> Yeah.
- 42:08>> You need to baby step that John. Like I
- 42:10would even say
- 42:11when you get funded,
- 42:13if it's a I don't care what account I
- 42:15don't even care that it could be a thous
- 42:17a million dollar, I don't care. Make a
- 42:20$100 a day for the first couple days
- 42:22first.
- 42:23Baby step that jump. Risk $100 to make
- 42:27150. Like baby step it so you especially
- 42:30if it's your first time cuz you need to
- 42:32know what it feels like
- 42:34>> and to pull restraint. I don't care if
- 42:35the market is trending in the most
- 42:37obvious direction is rejecting off of
- 42:40every single PD. I don't care what's
- 42:42happening. like
- 42:44make take the baby steps so that you're
- 42:48not rushing the process. The market's
- 42:50always going to be here.
- 42:52That account might not be though. You
- 42:53know what I'm saying? So, you have to
- 42:56take the baby steps so that you're doing
- 42:58it.
- 42:59And I would even say like for the first
- 43:01week, don't
- 43:02don't try to get the payout on the first
- 43:04week. Like, and this is just for people
- 43:06who struggle with
- 43:08getting a payout after getting funded.
- 43:11>> Mhm. Which is a lot of people, like you
- 43:13know the, percentage like
- 43:15the percentage goes down more and more
- 43:16and more the, you know, the further
- 43:18along you are on the prop journey. But
- 43:20it's like
- 43:21baby step that, Joe, man. You know, you
- 43:23have to you have to, um, don't try to
- 43:25get a payout on the first week, like.
- 43:28>> get adjusted and used to it first and
- 43:30remember the payout the first payout is
- 43:33not going to get you the house
- 43:35>> like the first payout's not going to get
- 43:36you the car it's not going to retire you
- 43:39from your job like
- 43:41baby steps. Like that's what people
- 43:42really struggle with.
- 43:44>> Use that payout to get two more prop
- 43:47firm accounts.
- 43:48>> Reinvest.
- 43:49>> Reinvest.
- 43:49>> I like that.
- 43:50>> It's a business. This is what Calvin
- 43:52says all the time in his videos. This is
- 43:55your trading business. So, but yeah,
- 43:58>> I like that, bro. Ooh. So good. Okay.
- 44:00So, now now let's get into this moneym.
- 44:05Okay. So,
- 44:06um,
- 44:08when did you finally settle? Okay, so
- 44:11here's the question I really want to
- 44:13ask.
- 44:13>> Yeah.
- 44:15>> When you were not profitable?
- 44:16>> Yeah.
- 44:17>> Was it more of a I'm trying to figure
- 44:19out which strategy works best for me
- 44:23or was it a psychology thing
- 44:25>> at first? At first.
- 44:26>> Yeah. At first it was the strategy, like
- 44:29what strategy works best.
- 44:31So, when did you lock in with the
- 44:34strategy that you're using now?
- 44:36>> So, I actually made a video about it and
- 44:38it it was a video that Juviier
- 44:41Gyms put out.
- 44:42>> Okay.
- 44:42>> And he put out a video where he said how
- 44:45to discover your own strategy. It was
- 44:48something along the lines of that. And
- 44:50he was just giving the steps of this is
- 44:54what you do to develop your own
- 44:56strategy. This is how you find cuz I've
- 44:57tried everything, bro. Like I tried
- 45:00supply and demand. Like I tried smart
- 45:02money concepts. ICT was too boring, bro.
- 45:04Like that he it was too. Now I know
- 45:07people that cook with ICT. You know what
- 45:09I'm saying? So I and I know people hate
- 45:10on it. If it work for you, bro, it work
- 45:12for you. Like all right. Dang, bro. Like
- 45:14you know what I'm saying? But for
- 45:17like them videos is too slow, bro. I
- 45:18ain't had the patience for it, bro. My
- 45:20daughter crying in the background.
- 45:23He talking slow. I gota put it on two
- 45:26times speed. I ain't trying to hear all
- 45:27that, man. I would I would actually to
- 45:30learn actually watch summaries of other
- 45:32people teaching it. You know what I'm
- 45:33saying? Cuz they just taught it. They
- 45:35were more exciting with it. I And it's
- 45:37no disc to them, bro. But it's like, you
- 45:39know, it was just hard. It was a hard
- 45:40watch. Um I had
- 45:43liquidity
- 45:45uh you know, understanding that that was
- 45:47actually the big one that clicked
- 45:49everything for me like when I learned
- 45:50liquidity. Uh, and I felt like God was
- 45:53telling me to learn liquidity and I was
- 45:54putting it off for a long time. And it
- 45:56took me two weeks to actually understand
- 45:59liquidity. Uh, and when I did, that's
- 46:02when
- 46:03things really clicked. So, it was like a
- 46:05little after November. Um, and then I
- 46:07passed my first EVA. So, liquidity
- 46:08helped. Um,
- 46:10so I went through all the all of that
- 46:12stuff. So, what I do now
- 46:15>> cuz I was doing this thing called the
- 46:17continuation.
- 46:18>> Okay.
- 46:18>> Um,
- 46:19>> explain that. So the continuation is
- 46:22where you're on the one minute time
- 46:23frame only. So I start when when I first
- 46:26became profitable was with a five-minute
- 46:28strategy. Uh I was trading the fair
- 46:30value gap after a breaker structure. Um
- 46:33it
- 46:34it would liquidate an original or it
- 46:37would liquidate the most recent fair
- 46:39value gap tap me in
- 46:43in a fair value gap that liquidated it.
- 46:45So I was calling it fair value gap
- 46:47liquidity which is really crazy. um it
- 46:49would tie me in and reject worked a lot.
- 46:51You had to be patient for it. You had to
- 46:53wait for it
- 46:54>> for me.
- 46:55I'm like, "Nah, like let's go. Let's
- 46:57move." So the continuation and mind you,
- 46:59I put that in the course
- 47:00>> and I felt like I I was charging 400 for
- 47:02it cuz I didn't know what I was doing. I
- 47:03was just like, "Let me just I charge 400
- 47:06for that junk. Like it's game. That junk
- 47:07got me funded. Got my first payout. Oh
- 47:09yeah, pay for this." I felt like God
- 47:10said, "Give that thing for free."
- 47:12>> I was like,
- 47:14>> you know, the situation was just in God.
- 47:16What you mean give it for free? All
- 47:17right. Yes, sir. Um
- 47:19then I had another one.
- 47:21>> Mhm.
- 47:21>> I was like, "All right, they can add
- 47:22that jump. I'm using this strategy now.
- 47:24It's the one minute continuation." So
- 47:26what I would do is I would wait for a
- 47:27strong push in the market
- 47:29and
- 47:30it was super simple. It had to trend in
- 47:33a direction. It had to break uh external
- 47:36structure. What I would do is wait for
- 47:38one fair value gap to get tapped
- 47:41cuz I trade fair value guys.
- 47:42>> Explain the fair value gap before you
- 47:44finish that.
- 47:45>> Yeah. So fair value gap is an imbalance
- 47:46in the market. It's a three candle
- 47:48pattern. So you have
- 47:50first candle, second candle, third
- 47:52candle. You know how the wicks
- 47:55typically overlap with each other in the
- 47:57market? Like if you have
- 48:00even five candles, wicks typically
- 48:02overlap with each other. Correct?
- 48:03>> So with the fair value gap, it's when
- 48:05the when the first wick and the third
- 48:07wick do not touch each other. So it
- 48:09leaves what's called an imbalance of the
- 48:10market. It's a gap in the market. And
- 48:13what happens is
- 48:15I think of it like this.
- 48:17Fair value gap is like imagine you're at
- 48:19Disney World because we out Orlando,
- 48:21baby. We out of Orlando. And you're
- 48:23like,
- 48:24I want to ride that ride over there. And
- 48:26so you're running to go to the ride.
- 48:28Your wallet falls out of your pocket
- 48:30and you're like, "Shoot, where am I?"
- 48:33And you turn around, you grab your
- 48:34wallet,
- 48:36you pick your wallet up, and you run to
- 48:39the ride. So you're going back to pick
- 48:42your wallet up and then you're going
- 48:44That's what happens in the market. like
- 48:45there's money inside of these imbalances
- 48:48because it's moving so fast. What does
- 48:50happen though, and it's the reason why I
- 48:52kind of paused cuz I wanted to see which
- 48:54direction I wanted to go.
- 48:55You could be running towards this. Your
- 48:57wallet falls out of your pocket. You go
- 48:59back, grab your wallet, and you realize
- 49:01I don't want to ride that ride anymore.
- 49:03I'm going to go this way. So, that's
- 49:05what a lot of people get faked out at
- 49:06because they think every fair value gap
- 49:09gets rejected off of and it doesn't.
- 49:10Like, you have to pick the right fair
- 49:12value gaps. So, anyway, that that's what
- 49:14a fair value gap is. So,
- 49:16if you guys go gold right now
- 49:18>> or even NASDAQ,
- 49:20>> okay,
- 49:21>> you will see fair value gaps all over
- 49:24the place.
- 49:24>> What time frame are you looking for fair
- 49:26value gaps on?
- 49:26>> You could do any time frame. I now I
- 49:28would I would say you'll probably see
- 49:30them most on the one minute. Um, but
- 49:32yeah, I
- 49:35yeah, I primarily trade on the one, but
- 49:36you'll see it all throughout like cuz
- 49:39you know price is fractal, right? So,
- 49:40you can see it everywhere. So,
- 49:42>> um
- 49:43>> yeah. So
- 49:44you had the first fair value you got
- 49:46boom
- 49:47second f value got boom you answer off
- 49:49the third one go from one to two boom
- 49:52and what you notice was on a higher time
- 49:55frame like the 1 hour
- 49:57you would see that price is pushing in
- 49:59one direction but it's trending on a
- 50:01lower direction. So you so what somebody
- 50:04sees as a big push down or a big push up
- 50:07on the lower time frame you're seeing
- 50:09retracement you're seeing push
- 50:11retracement push retrace. So, we're just
- 50:13we're really just taking advantage of of
- 50:15the trend. You know what I'm saying?
- 50:17You're getting in and out before the
- 50:19retracement.
- 50:20>> It worked for a little bit. What
- 50:22happened was I realized that
- 50:26>> I need to wait for price to break higher
- 50:28time frame structure.
- 50:29>> Come on. Market structure, baby.
- 50:31>> Come on. Hello.
- 50:32>> Come on.
- 50:32>> And so, that's where the strategy I use
- 50:35now is
- 50:36where it's
- 50:37it borrows from the continuation.
- 50:40Um
- 50:42but what we're doing is we need price to
- 50:45break structure first.
- 50:47>> What time frame?
- 50:48>> 15 minute.
- 50:48>> Okay.
- 50:49>> But you can do this on the hour and you
- 50:52can execute on the five. So in my course
- 50:54I talk about the different time frames
- 50:56that you can use. So it's it's really a
- 50:59higher time frame strategy. We just
- 51:01execute on the lower time frame.
- 51:03>> I really tell people that
- 51:05my strategy in its essence is really a
- 51:0815minute strategy. but you answer on the
- 51:11one minute, you know. So, that's the way
- 51:13that I kind of wrap it
- 51:14because I'm really looking at what's
- 51:16happening on the higher time frame and
- 51:18I'm I'm just getting a quick entry
- 51:20on the one minute.
- 51:23This is going to sound crazy, Calvin.
- 51:25>> Listen, I I probably heard crazier.
- 51:27>> Okay.
- 51:27>> Sitting in this chair
- 51:28>> and I got proof like I got I got video
- 51:30recording, screenshots, everything.
- 51:32>> Talk to me.
- 51:33>> I trade on the 15 seconds sometimes,
- 51:35bro.
- 51:35>> Interesting. So, I have I have seen
- 51:40um
- 51:40this guy trade
- 51:42and he takes entries off the 15 second.
- 51:45>> It's fun.
- 51:47>> Okay. So, if you did
- 51:49Okay, when you take entries off the
- 51:5115-second chart,
- 51:53let's say you were getting ready to take
- 51:55an entry right now.
- 51:56>> Okay.
- 51:58>> If you used a mini or do you use a mini?
- 52:01>> Uh it depends. It depends. So if you use
- 52:03a mini on ENQ,
- 52:05>> okay, the NASDAQ,
- 52:06>> if you use a mini, which is the
- 52:08largest
- 52:09>> like contract size you can take, you
- 52:11know, out of the two in futures, you
- 52:13have micros, you have minis, and the
- 52:14minis are the big boys.
- 52:16>> So if you took out one mini on INQ
- 52:19>> and and you're trading off the 15sec,
- 52:23where do you normally place your stop
- 52:24loss
- 52:25and how much would that
- 52:27be? So, my stop loss is typically at a
- 52:30swing high or a swing low.
- 52:33>> Mhm.
- 52:36>> It's around three or four.
- 52:37>> Three or $400.
- 52:39>> No, three or four minis.
- 52:40Three. Three. Three minis or four. Like
- 52:43that's how much
- 52:44>> you would put in.
- 52:44>> Yeah. That's how much I would put in the
- 52:46stop loss.
- 52:46>> But if you did one mini?
- 52:48>> Yeah.
- 52:48>> What dollar amount would your stop loss
- 52:50be if you did one mini?
- 52:51>> On average probably be like 250.
- 52:54>> That is good.
- 52:55>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That is really
- 52:57serious.
- 52:58>> It is. It is. And you know uh with the
- 53:01micros cuz you know you can scale even
- 53:03more. So instead of 250 you'd be like I
- 53:06want to be like 230. You know what I'm
- 53:07saying? Like you know whatever. Um
- 53:09that's dope.
- 53:10>> Yeah. It's cool. It's cool. So yeah.
- 53:12>> When did you start going down to the 15
- 53:14seconds?
- 53:14>> It was when I got cooked on the one
- 53:16minute really bad on my actual live
- 53:18account. So I was like,
- 53:20it this when I was trading, like, so I
- 53:23was trading prop firms at first. Then I
- 53:25tried a live account, like, so what I
- 53:27was able to do
- 53:29was I put in three bands into a live
- 53:31account, I took it to like eight,
- 53:33withdrew that, took, withdrew five, took
- 53:35it back to three, and, um,
- 53:40man, I got cooked so bad, bro. I was so
- 53:44mad,
- 53:45like, I, I could just recall, it is just
- 53:48still remember I was, I got cooked and I
- 53:50was like,
- 53:51"I know price is trying to go in this
- 53:53direction, like why is it playing, like
- 53:55it's fighting with you?"
- 53:56>> It was fighting. It was one of those
- 53:58things like and I waited for a long time
- 54:00for it. You know how sometimes you wait
- 54:01for for a long time. You know what I'm
- 54:03saying?
- 54:03>> Pass your trading time bro. Like
- 54:06everything is like come on bro. I know
- 54:07this don't go ahead. Let me just get one
- 54:09more ban. I need one more. And um
- 54:12>> I dropped down to the 15sec. I lost like
- 54:141,500. Um, so I only had 1500 left until
- 54:18I got margin call, you know, and uh
- 54:22I dropped down to the 15 second.
- 54:25I was like, dang. You So, you know, uh,
- 54:28do you place trades on Trading View?
- 54:29>> Do I play what?
- 54:30>> Like place trades on Trading View?
- 54:32>> Um, not recently since I stopped uh
- 54:34trading with uh the US regulated brokers
- 54:36on the Forex side.
- 54:37>> Okay. Okay.
- 54:38>> I haven't in a while.
- 54:39>> Okay. So
- 54:40when you enter trades
- 54:42>> uh on trading view they have uh the
- 54:45arrows
- 54:45>> correct.
- 54:46>> So it shows you
- 54:47>> how many tra
- 54:50like 50
- 54:53if you if you zoomed out bro like the 15
- 54:56minute bro
- 54:58like arrows just stacked on top of each
- 55:00other. So now I'm feeling bad. I'm like
- 55:03dang I'm I'm really this is bad like you
- 55:06know I'm getting smoked. Um, I dropped
- 55:09to the 15 second row.
- 55:11>> Yeah.
- 55:12>> And
- 55:14long story short, man, like I made all
- 55:16that back in this song. Like all the
- 55:17money back this time and I ended up,
- 55:19>> you know, uh, withdrawing the additional
- 55:22money. Um, then I took a break, took it
- 55:25all out, then went back to P firms. But,
- 55:27um, that was the moment I realized, oo,
- 55:29I like the 15.
- 55:30>> So, that's what you're like doing like
- 55:32as of recent.
- 55:33>> So, I go from the 15 minute to the 15
- 55:35seconds. It's too fast for a lot of
- 55:37people. So I I actually tell beginners
- 55:40now go from the 15minut. So if you look
- 55:42for a higher low in the market that's
- 55:44how we do it now. Look for a higher low
- 55:46in the market. Doesn't matter what time.
- 55:47It's not the orb. It's not at a specific
- 55:49time. Anytime you see a higher low in
- 55:52the market on the 15minute
- 55:55once it crosses it you drop down to the
- 55:571 minute.
- 55:58Or if you're a super beginner you need
- 56:00slower price action drop to the 3
- 56:01minute. So we have a bot right? We have
- 56:03the breakaway bot. The best settings for
- 56:06the bot right now, just currently right
- 56:08now, is the 3minut. A couple weeks ago
- 56:10was the one minute, you know. So, we're
- 56:12constantly observing and seeing which
- 56:14one's the best, but right now it's micro
- 56:17gold on the 3minut.
- 56:19>> And
- 56:20so, it breaks through that line. You got
- 56:24a fair value right under there. We enter
- 56:26on that gap. Go for a two.
- 56:28>> That's it. So,
- 56:28>> so that's your average risk-to-reward
- 56:30like two times your risk.
- 56:31>> Yeah. That that So,
- 56:33yeah. And you know, like being a trader
- 56:35first and a teacher second, like what a
- 56:38lot of people don't understand is you
- 56:40have to account for
- 56:42everything. Like sometimes it's just
- 56:44market intuition. You know what I'm
- 56:46saying? But you have to explain that.
- 56:48You know what I'm saying? You It's like
- 56:49no, some people need how much is my
- 56:51risk? Like I could tell you where stop
- 56:52loss could be,
- 56:53>> but you know what I'm saying? Like what
- 56:55how how far does this need to go down?
- 56:57And because we're in Trump's market, you
- 56:59know what I'm saying? Like and tariffs
- 57:01like all this stuff. I I'm preaching
- 57:04base hits, man. Like, stop trying to
- 57:07go for 15 Rs, bro. Like, what are you
- 57:10doing? Like, stop, bro. Like, and you
- 57:13wondering why you're not profitable,
- 57:14bro.
- 57:16You going anyway. So, like, yeah. So, um
- 57:20yeah, go for them basics, man. Be like
- 57:22one to one, one to two. So, I'm I'm I
- 57:24I'm landing now where we're at currently
- 57:26right now. I'm finding more success with
- 57:29going for the 2 R. So for me personally,
- 57:31I go from the 15 minute crosses 15
- 57:34second entry
- 57:36to R. I'm done for the day.
- 57:37>> Done for the day.
- 57:38>> I got cooked last night though. I ain't
- 57:39get cooked but I lost.
- 57:40>> Yeah. So yeah. So I was going to ask
- 57:42that next.
- 57:43>> Yeah.
- 57:43>> Do you have a trading time?
- 57:46>> Yeah, man. So I'I've been trading Asian
- 57:48session for a long time. Asian session
- 57:50gold
- 57:53for a while
- 57:55was doing so good. It was slept on.
- 57:59As of late, bro,
- 58:01it's been trash. Like,
- 58:04>> she move when she want to move.
- 58:05>> She move when she want, bro.
- 58:07So,
- 58:08um
- 58:09>> I think uh
- 58:12>> and I told you this in the car, like I
- 58:14took a break in August. Like,
- 58:15>> business is growing. Like, people need
- 58:18help. Hire new people. It's like a lot
- 58:21going on.
- 58:23I needed a break from trading, bro. You
- 58:25know what I'm saying? So, um I'm just
- 58:27now coming back. This is like my first
- 58:29official week coming back. Like I tested
- 58:31the waters a little bit last week. Made
- 58:33a couple, you know what I'm saying? A
- 58:34little US. But, um before my break, like
- 58:36I got a payout with Lucid and then I was
- 58:39like, I'm I'm I'm done. Let me chill for
- 58:40a little bit. Like, let me
- 58:42>> speaking of those prop firms, man. So,
- 58:44walk me through
- 58:46>> how many firms have you gotten payout
- 58:48with?
- 58:50So when I say payouts, like these are
- 58:53actual
- 58:55>> y
- 58:56>> money, dollars,
- 58:57>> yep,
- 58:58>> being transferred to you.
- 59:00>> Yeah.
- 59:00>> Because you've been able to pass
- 59:02valuations and then grow the funded
- 59:04accounts.
- 59:05>> Okay. So the first one was Topep.
- 59:07>> Okay.
- 59:09>> I left Topstep because they uh got rid
- 59:12of their partnership with Trade of
- 59:14U. Um so they had their own platform.
- 59:17>> Yeah. which scarred me because I started
- 59:19in Forex.
- 59:21So you remember how like
- 59:23the whole stuff with Forex was happening
- 59:26and like
- 59:27people started having to use their own
- 59:29platforms. So I really struggled with
- 59:31that. Um cuz I I got burnt by a Forex
- 59:34plat firm and like
- 59:36bro I entered a trade, bro,
- 59:39it was like 0.03
- 59:42lots.
- 59:43As soon as I entered the trade, it was
- 59:45no news or nothing. I was negative $300,
- 59:48bro.
- 59:48>> That's insane. What were you trading?
- 59:50>> Huh?
- 59:51>> What were you trading? Like US30?
- 59:53>> It wasn't dirty 30, bro.
- 59:55>> The dirty 30,
- 59:57bro. It was dirty 30.
- 59:59>> I don't even I think it was GJ probably
- 1:00:01cuz that like to this day
- 1:00:03>> GJ get busy now.
- 1:00:04>> Yeah, but damn, like that, bro. Like
- 1:00:06>> GJ get busy,
- 1:00:07>> man. Duh, bro. I was like, dang.
- 1:00:10So, um
- 1:00:12Yeah.
- 1:00:13Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:00:14It burned me. So anyway, so uh uh left
- 1:00:17with left top step uh went to my fund of
- 1:00:19futures. Uh got funded with my fund of
- 1:00:21futures, got a whole bunch of playouts
- 1:00:23with them. They took the ability away to
- 1:00:27do
- 1:00:28um
- 1:00:29minis for a bit. So I had I ended up
- 1:00:31leaving them and you could only do up to
- 1:00:34four micros, which is like
- 1:00:37>> what? So it's when gold uh when silver
- 1:00:40was really popular earlier this year,
- 1:00:42that's when they like took that away.
- 1:00:44Um, then I went to
- 1:00:46uh Tradeify,
- 1:00:47>> got a whole bunch of payouts with
- 1:00:48Traderify, then I went to Lucid. I've
- 1:00:50always struggled with Lucid, man. I
- 1:00:52don't know what it is.
- 1:00:54I struggled with Lucid, but
- 1:00:56um I was able
- 1:00:58uh early on when I did Lucid, got a
- 1:01:01payout. Uh then most recently got a few
- 1:01:03pay payouts with Lucid. So,
- 1:01:05four different prop firms
- 1:01:06>> and over six figures in payouts.
- 1:01:08>> Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:01:09>> That's great. In a year or in two years?
- 1:01:11>> In two years in total. Yeah, two years.
- 1:01:13Yeah,
- 1:01:13>> that's amazing.
- 1:01:14>> It's really cool, bro.
- 1:01:15>> Like from going from like like I I bro I
- 1:01:18still can't get over it. Food pantry
- 1:01:21>> listening to the you know trainer
- 1:01:23motivation show you know losing five
- 1:01:25streams of income being on hard times
- 1:01:28>> to literally a year later starting to
- 1:01:31get payouts two years later like making
- 1:01:33over six figures in payouts and like
- 1:01:35>> now it's like automatic now.
- 1:01:37>> So now you know you can go fishing.
- 1:01:39>> Yeah.
- 1:01:40>> And literally walk out the water.
- 1:01:42>> Yes. with five figure payouts.
- 1:01:43>> Yes, bro. And it's humbling, bro,
- 1:01:45because it's like one of those like it's
- 1:01:49you seen the meme of the guy where he
- 1:01:51had the pickaxe and he turned around but
- 1:01:54it's gold right on the other side. Like
- 1:01:56I feel like that's so many people, man.
- 1:01:58Like,
- 1:01:58>> but that was me, man. Like, I was, bro,
- 1:02:01when I tell you I was ready to hang up
- 1:02:02the cake, but
- 1:02:03I didn't go to college, bro. Like, I
- 1:02:06barely graduated high school. I jumped
- 1:02:08into ministry right after,
- 1:02:10you know, um I graduated high school.
- 1:02:14So, I ain't really have another option,
- 1:02:16bro. Like, I'm a music artist, but my
- 1:02:18Spotify checks for like like
- 1:02:21>> I know.
- 1:02:22>> Yeah.
- 1:02:22>> Yeah. So, I still receive a spot. So, I
- 1:02:25used to do
- 1:02:26uh music.
- 1:02:28>> What?
- 1:02:28>> Yeah. I was a Christian rapper.
- 1:02:30>> What?
- 1:02:32>> Stop playing.
- 1:02:34A lot of my stuff's still out there, but
- 1:02:35I receive a check like every, you know,
- 1:02:38maybe two to three months.
- 1:02:39>> Are you serious? Yeah. Don't jump little
- 1:02:42bro.
- 1:02:42>> Yeah. From Empire. So, um,
- 1:02:44>> you was signed.
- 1:02:45>> Yeah. With So, I was the first, believe
- 1:02:47it or not, I was the first. So, I signed
- 1:02:49with Empire.
- 1:02:51>> So, I was the first Christian rapper
- 1:02:53that did a distribution deal with
- 1:02:55Empire.
- 1:02:55>> Are you the first? So, this is before
- 1:02:58like Derek Miner and KB like those guys.
- 1:03:00So,
- 1:03:02>> the
- 1:03:03Okay. When Gazi first launched Empire,
- 1:03:05>> yeah,
- 1:03:06>> he was working with a lawyer who
- 1:03:09worked with Pitbull. So, Pitbull's
- 1:03:12>> lawyer or one of his attorneys, her name
- 1:03:15is Angie Martinez.
- 1:03:16>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:03:17>> Yeah. So, Angie Martinez
- 1:03:19um
- 1:03:20was or is close friends with somebody
- 1:03:22that is close friends with me.
- 1:03:24>> So, he set up a meeting at her office in
- 1:03:27downtown Carables. I went to her meet
- 1:03:29like this was, bro, I'm like
- 1:03:33I'm like 23
- 1:03:36maybe
- 1:03:36>> are you
- 1:03:37>> at that time? Yeah.
- 1:03:39>> And like this is a while ago. Like I was
- 1:03:41the first Christian artist
- 1:03:42>> signed to that distribution company or
- 1:03:45>> or that had a distribution deal. Like
- 1:03:47you couldn't just get a distribution
- 1:03:48deal with Empire. Like I don't know if
- 1:03:49you can now but you had to be sought
- 1:03:52after or you have connections.
- 1:03:54>> So anyway,
- 1:03:55>> I had a meeting with her. She heard the
- 1:03:57music that I was doing. She actually
- 1:03:59pitched my music to
- 1:04:02um Slip and Slide Records, which is the
- 1:04:04record label that signed like Rick Ross,
- 1:04:06Platt.
- 1:04:08>> Oh, wow.
- 1:04:09>> That went nowhere. But I ended up
- 1:04:11working for Slip and Slide as like
- 1:04:14a content strategist. So, that was a
- 1:04:16full circle.
- 1:04:18>> Yeah. So, shout out to Ted Lucas,
- 1:04:20>> um who did a lot for me. Um but anyway,
- 1:04:23um so long story short, yeah. So, I had
- 1:04:26a dis I've had this distribution deal
- 1:04:28with Empire
- 1:04:29>> for over 10 years, bro.
- 1:04:31>> Like, no, no, no, not 10 years. Cuz I
- 1:04:33got married. No. Yeah, it had to be.
- 1:04:35>> No, like maybe like 9, eight years or
- 1:04:37something like that. Yeah. Yeah. That's
- 1:04:38crazy, bro.
- 1:04:39>> Yeah. So, I get checks from them like,
- 1:04:41you know, I get like one check like
- 1:04:43every like 3 4 months.
- 1:04:45>> That is crazy.
- 1:04:45>> And it's like three four00
- 1:04:48like three $500, you know, like it ain't
- 1:04:50nothing crazy. But yeah,
- 1:04:51>> I never knew that, bro.
- 1:04:53>> Yeah, bro. So, so but you going to make
- 1:04:56music again or what, bro?
- 1:04:58>> Probably not.
- 1:04:59>> Okay, I got you.
- 1:05:00>> Maybe. Yeah.
- 1:05:00>> I don't know. No money in that.
- 1:05:03Yeah, unless you
- 1:05:03>> If I do do it, like it'll be for fun.
- 1:05:05But, bro, I used to tour, bro.
- 1:05:07>> What?
- 1:05:08>> Yeah, bro. So, I Bro, all right. So, I
- 1:05:10got to show you some pictures. So, I got
- 1:05:12So,
- 1:05:13yeah. Like, I just sent it to a friend,
- 1:05:15but I got photos with like KB, LRae, 1K,
- 1:05:18Fuse.
- 1:05:18Um,
- 1:05:19but I used to tour
- 1:05:21locally and do like these big like
- 1:05:24concerts with like two 300 kids at
- 1:05:26churches.
- 1:05:27>> Are you serious?
- 1:05:28>> I performed
- 1:05:30at the Miami Heat game like three, four
- 1:05:32times in a row. Um,
- 1:05:34I opened up for like so they had this
- 1:05:37festival
- 1:05:38>> called like um
- 1:05:40>> the Overtown Music Festival. Shout out
- 1:05:41to Shane the Headliner Music. Okay. um
- 1:05:44well headline a marketing group um like
- 1:05:45I don't know if you ever listen to Lil
- 1:05:47Wayne but Lil Wayne um
- 1:05:49>> uh like he used to uh like say in his
- 1:05:51raps like Live on Sunday. Yeah.
- 1:05:53>> So Live on Sun like Live is a popular
- 1:05:55club in Miami. Live on Sunday is hosted
- 1:05:57by Headliner Marketing Group. Headliner
- 1:05:59Marketing Group is like one of the
- 1:06:00biggest party like promoters ever.
- 1:06:03>> Oh wow.
- 1:06:03>> Part of headliner marketing group is
- 1:06:05Shane. Shane
- 1:06:07>> was like a neighborhood mentor. He cut
- 1:06:09my hair for a while but he used to
- 1:06:11always look out. He gave me an
- 1:06:12opportunity. So they had this festival
- 1:06:14called the Overtown Music Festival and
- 1:06:17they used to bring in
- 1:06:19>> big R&B legends like you know just
- 1:06:22>> like huge artist, you know. So one year
- 1:06:24they had Monica, they had Kha Cole, they
- 1:06:26had Jeremiah, they had Carl Thomas
- 1:06:29>> and um
- 1:06:31>> so they let me perform.
- 1:06:33>> Really?
- 1:06:33>> Yeah. So I performed early on
- 1:06:36and um so I performed at that. It was
- 1:06:38like thousands of people out there like
- 1:06:40tens of thousands of people. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:06:41So, I used to do some things, bro, here
- 1:06:43and there. I used to do some things.
- 1:06:44>> So, have you ever done Flavorf Fest out
- 1:06:46here?
- 1:06:47>> No.
- 1:06:47>> Okay. Okay.
- 1:06:47>> I've never even gone. I was thinking
- 1:06:49about going this year.
- 1:06:50>> Okay.
- 1:06:50>> I think it passed already though. Did
- 1:06:52it? I don't know.
- 1:06:52>> I don't know.
- 1:06:53>> Um,
- 1:06:54but they started something new though.
- 1:06:55They started Holy Smoke though.
- 1:06:56>> Yeah, that's right. That's right. Holy
- 1:06:58Smoke.
- 1:06:58>> Yeah. Yeah. So, that's like the new
- 1:06:59thing though.
- 1:07:00>> We going to pull up, bro.
- 1:07:00>> Yeah, we got to pull up.
- 1:07:01>> Yeah, we going to do the VIP job.
- 1:07:03>> Enough of me, bro.
- 1:07:05Anyway, um, so,
- 1:07:07um,
- 1:07:08look, you made me forget the question I
- 1:07:09was asking,
- 1:07:10>> but that's crazy. like that. I don't
- 1:07:12know if y'all knew that about him, man.
- 1:07:14Like that
- 1:07:14>> that's where our our whole synergy come
- 1:07:16from cuz you a Christian. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:07:18Yeah.
- 1:07:18>> All right. So, let's get back to this.
- 1:07:20Um what was I asking? Um
- 1:07:22you got to stop doing this. This is
- 1:07:25about you. This ain't about me.
- 1:07:26>> I know. But bro, you I love you, bro. I
- 1:07:28love you, too.
- 1:07:30>> Um Okay. So, I'm trying to ask
- 1:07:32where was he going? So, I know we
- 1:07:33talking about prop firms.
- 1:07:34>> Yeah. So, we was talking about P firms
- 1:07:35and we was talking about payouts and
- 1:07:36then we was talking about um you know,
- 1:07:40>> well, I just want to go there cuz I
- 1:07:42forgot where I was going. Yeah. But
- 1:07:43anyway, so
- 1:07:47>> six figures in payouts over two years.
- 1:07:49>> Yeah.
- 1:07:49>> Okay.
- 1:07:50>> Um
- 1:07:52>> here's where I was going. How does it
- 1:07:54feel to know
- 1:07:55that you can tap in at any time?
- 1:07:59>> Anytime. Like if things get tight today.
- 1:08:01>> Yeah. Yes.
- 1:08:02>> You can go spend
- 1:08:04$500 worth of like 50k vows. You
- 1:08:07>> don't even need all that.
- 1:08:08>> That's like five. You So you don't need
- 1:08:09all that
- 1:08:10>> and you can make it popping. Yes. Five
- 1:08:12figures in payouts. Boom.
- 1:08:13>> Yes. Literally.
- 1:08:14>> How does that feel to know that you've
- 1:08:16been like you've gotten yourself to the
- 1:08:18point where that's possible, bro?
- 1:08:21>> It's so humbling, bro.
- 1:08:23It's really crazy.
- 1:08:25I I haven't even processed it. Like, I
- 1:08:28think for me, because you know, when
- 1:08:31you're learning how to trade, you're in
- 1:08:32such a grind, like
- 1:08:34laser focused, man, like
- 1:08:37centered in.
- 1:08:39You know you, there's outside noise and
- 1:08:41you just kind of have to shake it off,
- 1:08:42man. Like I, I had a cousin tell me,
- 1:08:45"You know,
- 1:08:47don't trade. You're going to get
- 1:08:48finessed; you're going to get scammed;
- 1:08:49like, don't do it." And then I made 20
- 1:08:51bands, like,
- 1:08:52a few weeks after. You know what I'm
- 1:08:54saying? Like and I ain't even rub it in.
- 1:08:56I was just like, "Yeah, what I that it
- 1:08:57was the battery in my back that I
- 1:08:59needed." You know what I'm saying? But
- 1:09:00it's like um
- 1:09:02it it
- 1:09:04I think for me, I haven't processed it
- 1:09:06cuz I like you seen the interview where
- 1:09:08Kobe was like, "Job's not done."
- 1:09:10>> Like that's that's just where I'm at. So
- 1:09:12I'm not even thinking about
- 1:09:14six figures of payouts. I'm thinking
- 1:09:15about like
- 1:09:17seven figures. Like you know what I'm
- 1:09:19saying? Like there is going to come to a
- 1:09:22point where I have to stop trading
- 1:09:23profits. You know what I'm saying? that
- 1:09:24I have to do a live account like how the
- 1:09:27big dogs are doing. Like I have to So
- 1:09:29I'm I'm still even looking at this
- 1:09:31season cuz I'm I've only been profitable
- 1:09:33two years. So I'm I'm
- 1:09:35even looking at this season in this area
- 1:09:36of my trading as still like practice.
- 1:09:38>> Like I'm not in the big big leagues yet.
- 1:09:41>> You know what I'm saying? The big they
- 1:09:42they pulling,
- 1:09:44>> you know what I'm saying? Like it's some
- 1:09:46of these people we know not capping. You
- 1:09:48know what I'm saying? Um so it's like
- 1:09:50this this is not even the minor leagues
- 1:09:52where I'm at. This is still
- 1:09:54baby steps, you know, like
- 1:09:56>> and to your point, as we discussed
- 1:09:58earlier, even if somebody is capping
- 1:10:00>> Yeah, that's true. That's true.
- 1:10:01>> You can you can use
- 1:10:04>> whatever somebody says.
- 1:10:05>> Yep. True.
- 1:10:06>> If you believe it in the moment,
- 1:10:08>> Yep.
- 1:10:08>> and you use that.
- 1:10:10>> Yep.
- 1:10:12>> That can fuel everything for you.
- 1:10:14>> It's true.
- 1:10:15>> Because I don't know who interview that
- 1:10:17was that you was watching that day. You
- 1:10:18was in the food pantry and I don't need
- 1:10:19you to tell me.
- 1:10:20>> Yeah. Got you. Got you.
- 1:10:21>> You know what I'm saying? I don't know
- 1:10:22who it was.
- 1:10:23>> That person could have been capping. We
- 1:10:25don't know.
- 1:10:25>> Facts.
- 1:10:26>> But that ain't change the fact that Kayn
- 1:10:29>> needed it.
- 1:10:30>> You changed your life.
- 1:10:31>> Yeah,
- 1:10:32>> bro. Your wife just Tell the people.
- 1:10:33Your wife just quit her job.
- 1:10:35>> Quit her job. Y'all, I quit my job.
- 1:10:38She quit her job. We don't got no more
- 1:10:41debt.
- 1:10:41>> Bro, you brought a Tesla.
- 1:10:43>> I bought a Tesla in cash.
- 1:10:44>> Let's talk about that, bro. In
- 1:10:46cash.
- 1:10:47>> Yeah, bro.
- 1:10:47>> Hey, you owe nobody nothing.
- 1:10:49>> I don't owe nobody nothing. Like
- 1:10:50>> talk about that, bro.
- 1:10:52>> Uh like the journey of getting a car.
- 1:10:54Like
- 1:10:54>> what were you driving before the Tesla,
- 1:10:56>> man? Ma'am. Okay, so
- 1:10:58I was driving a 2012 Toyota Camry. It
- 1:11:02was my wife's car.
- 1:11:03And um
- 1:11:05we had kids, so she used the Ford
- 1:11:08Escape, so it became her car. 2014 Ford
- 1:11:10Escape. Those were our two cars.
- 1:11:13We couldn't afford. So her her the Cammy
- 1:11:16was paid off.
- 1:11:18We couldn't afford to make car payments
- 1:11:22on the Ford Escape
- 1:11:25and they called and said, "We don't
- 1:11:27think we can make money on this. We
- 1:11:28can't even repossess it, but we can
- 1:11:31still take it
- 1:11:33unless you guys pay us under the table
- 1:11:35essentially." Like that was the deal.
- 1:11:37Like y'all had to pay us. So like they
- 1:11:39they
- 1:11:41and that's God's grace. Like for them to
- 1:11:42not repossess it and it's like you know
- 1:11:44what I'm saying? Like we don't even
- 1:11:45think we make money from this. So, um,
- 1:11:48it feels crazy, bro.
- 1:11:50It feels insane. Like, it's even hard
- 1:11:53for me to put into words now, like of
- 1:11:56just,
- 1:11:58bro, like I wanted that jump so bad,
- 1:12:00bro. And what made me mad, man, is
- 1:12:04um
- 1:12:05Elon started cutting up.
- 1:12:08Like, cutting up, bro.
- 1:12:10Cutting up. People was blowing Teslas
- 1:12:14up.
- 1:12:20I was like,
- 1:12:20>> he started saying yes.
- 1:12:22>> I did. I was like, dang, this a risk.
- 1:12:24But you know what? Like, hey, I make
- 1:12:26risk every day. I'll be in the market.
- 1:12:27It's a risk. Um, man, I remember the
- 1:12:30first time I tried to get it. Um,
- 1:12:32I had got I had a got a real nice payout
- 1:12:34and
- 1:12:35um what was it?
- 1:12:37We went to
- 1:12:39I don't know if I should say where it
- 1:12:41was, but we went to we went to a
- 1:12:42dealership and they're notoriously known
- 1:12:44for like screwing people over with
- 1:12:46credit like but they're very well known
- 1:12:48in in the DMV.
- 1:12:49And um
- 1:12:51I went over there, man, and I was going
- 1:12:52to put down
- 1:12:54I think
- 1:12:5512 vans for it. Like I was just going to
- 1:12:57put down 12
- 1:13:00and um do payments on the rest. I don't
- 1:13:02understand how
- 1:13:04this era of
- 1:13:06car
- 1:13:07loans work. So, they were still like,
- 1:13:10for the first year, you're not even
- 1:13:12going to pay towards the principal. You
- 1:13:13going to be paying us back cuz my
- 1:13:14credit's jacked up. Like, I'm still
- 1:13:17trying to build my credit up. Like, I
- 1:13:19got money, but my credit ain't You know
- 1:13:20what I'm saying? You know what I'm
- 1:13:22saying? Like,
- 1:13:23bro, when you learning how to trade and
- 1:13:24you don't got no money, boy,
- 1:13:26you be seeing numbers you ain't never
- 1:13:28seen before. I'm like, "Dang,
- 1:13:30I didn't know I could get that low."
- 1:13:34>> Dang. Tell me about it.
- 1:13:36>> Yeah. Shoot. My jaw almost touching the
- 1:13:38double digits. I was
- 1:13:40so bad, bro.
- 1:13:42Dang. What you mean? 14.
- 1:13:46What you mean? 14.
- 1:13:48So, yeah.
- 1:13:50You got me sounding like a pig over
- 1:13:51there, right?
- 1:13:56What you mean, man? So,
- 1:14:00so yeah, bro. Um
- 1:14:01>> Oh my goodness.
- 1:14:02>> Yeah. So, so I was really discouraged. I
- 1:14:05was mad. Um
- 1:14:07>> um couple months later, get more
- 1:14:09payouts, you know, is is finances is
- 1:14:12going up. Um it's looking good. And I
- 1:14:14was like, uh this was in January
- 1:14:18and this is bro, this is like before
- 1:14:21I had the course that I have now. This
- 1:14:23is before my indicator came out. this
- 1:14:25way before the bot. Like
- 1:14:27we only had like 90 members in our
- 1:14:29community,
- 1:14:30but I like
- 1:14:33it was nice. It was looking good, you
- 1:14:35know. This when it first started looking
- 1:14:37good when I was like, "Oh, damn. I ain't
- 1:14:39never seen that number before." Like,
- 1:14:41you know,
- 1:14:42oo.
- 1:14:43Um,
- 1:14:44and I was like, "Man, I be I need this
- 1:14:46car bad. Like, please. Like, I need this
- 1:14:49y'all bad." And she was like, "Well, if
- 1:14:51you feel like it's it's wise, if you
- 1:14:53feel like you ready, like, let's go."
- 1:14:54you know, let's do it. Um, so we ended
- 1:14:57up,
- 1:14:58um, buying that in cash and I
- 1:15:00gave the Camry to my brother, uh, who
- 1:15:04needed a car. So,
- 1:15:06um, we're probably going to do the same
- 1:15:07thing. Um,
- 1:15:09um, I told somebody in my Discord, we
- 1:15:11might
- 1:15:12I just made an announcement. I was like,
- 1:15:14"Hey, we might buy a minivan for our
- 1:15:16family. So, this Ford Escape, if anybody
- 1:15:19want it,
- 1:15:20it's on me." You know what I'm saying?
- 1:15:22So,
- 1:15:22>> but but we've always wanted to do that.
- 1:15:24Like, we always said we want to give
- 1:15:26away things. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:15:27Like that. I'm a big giver, bro. Like,
- 1:15:30>> man. And my like my coaches get mad at
- 1:15:32me. Like, cuz I I give a lot. Like, I
- 1:15:36give a lot. It's just in my heart, man.
- 1:15:38I'm generous, bro. Like, um,
- 1:15:41now I give when God tells me to.
- 1:15:44I don't give I I don't give when he
- 1:15:47tells me not to. You know what I'm
- 1:15:48saying? like I have to be obedient to
- 1:15:51that.
- 1:15:52>> So there's times where people will ask
- 1:15:54me for money or ask me for resources or
- 1:15:57ask me for things and I'm like I can't
- 1:15:58do it. Like I'm sorry.
- 1:16:00>> Um and there's other times where people
- 1:16:02won't ask for things but God puts the
- 1:16:04impression on my heart. You know what
- 1:16:06I'm saying? To bless
- 1:16:07um
- 1:16:09Yeah. Yeah, bro. like you know
- 1:16:11>> um and and also like a big thing that I
- 1:16:15I I
- 1:16:17credit and attribute to even answer a
- 1:16:18question you asked earlier man like
- 1:16:21I believe the two things that really
- 1:16:22made me profitable
- 1:16:25and bring me to where I'm at financially
- 1:16:27right now
- 1:16:29is tithing
- 1:16:32tithing
- 1:16:32>> it's powerful and
- 1:16:35this one is not going to sound like it
- 1:16:37correlates but it does and it's forg
- 1:16:40forgiveness.
- 1:16:40>> Oh my goodness.
- 1:16:42>> Tithing and forgiveness.
- 1:16:43>> Explain both of those.
- 1:16:44>> So,
- 1:16:46the Bible says that when you give, it'll
- 1:16:49be given back to you,
- 1:16:50>> pressed down,
- 1:16:51>> shaken together,
- 1:16:52>> running over.
- 1:16:52>> Come on.
- 1:16:53>> Shall who?
- 1:16:54>> I don't remember the rest.
- 1:16:55>> Shall man,
- 1:16:56>> say it again.
- 1:16:57>> Shall man give into your bosom.
- 1:17:00>> Amen. M mm.
- 1:17:02>> And so
- 1:17:03for me,
- 1:17:04the
- 1:17:06enhanced verbiage of press down, shaken
- 1:17:09together, running over
- 1:17:12tells me
- 1:17:13that there's something attached
- 1:17:15something supernatural attached
- 1:17:18to generosity.
- 1:17:20And so for
- 1:17:22and not just generosity just for the
- 1:17:24sake of being gener generous
- 1:17:26but for the sake of being obedient to
- 1:17:29God man
- 1:17:30like where your treasure lies there so
- 1:17:33shall your heart be right. So
- 1:17:36>> for me it's like
- 1:17:38well my treasure is clearly my finances.
- 1:17:41>> I want God like I say I love God with
- 1:17:44all my heart.
- 1:17:45>> Mhm.
- 1:17:46>> You know what I'm saying? Like I have to
- 1:17:47make sure that I'm being obedient that
- 1:17:49way. And there was even a point, bro,
- 1:17:52my longest win streak
- 1:17:55was 6 weeks.
- 1:17:56>> Mhm.
- 1:17:57>> I could not be stopped, bro.
- 1:17:59>> 6 weeks straight.
- 1:18:00>> Six weeks. Just boom boom boom. Just
- 1:18:03cooking.
- 1:18:04I stopped tithing.
- 1:18:06>> Whoa.
- 1:18:07Cuz I wanted to see a certain number.
- 1:18:11I lost for three weeks straight. I could
- 1:18:14not win a trade, bro. Even by accident.
- 1:18:18Even bro, it was it was like, "Oh, well,
- 1:18:20let me trade the opposite of my ST." It
- 1:18:22was that bad, bro. That's how bad I was
- 1:18:24losing, bro.
- 1:18:25>> Let me just trade the opposite. Like, I
- 1:18:27I'll catch something. Three weeks
- 1:18:29straight, bro.
- 1:18:31God got my attention and said,
- 1:18:33"You going You going to come back? You
- 1:18:35going to
- 1:18:36Cuz you tripping off of getting this
- 1:18:38number, but I'm about to 30x that
- 1:18:40thing."
- 1:18:41>> Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:18:42>> Be obedient. So
- 1:18:44you got that and then forgiveness
- 1:18:47for me.
- 1:18:53So the scripture I brought up earlier,
- 1:18:55whatever you ask for in prayer, believe
- 1:18:56you shall receive it and it shall be
- 1:18:57yours.
- 1:18:58>> Correct?
- 1:19:00>> Right after that,
- 1:19:02he says
- 1:19:04that if you have unforgiveness,
- 1:19:07my father in heaven won't forgive you.
- 1:19:09>> Mhm.
- 1:19:11So we not even just talking about
- 1:19:12whatever you ask for in prayer, the
- 1:19:14abundance,
- 1:19:16>> finances,
- 1:19:17healthy relationships, good health. We
- 1:19:20talking about the soul now.
- 1:19:22>> Yeah.
- 1:19:22>> If I don't forgive somebody, I I can't
- 1:19:25inherit the kingdom of God.
- 1:19:27>> So it's deeper than just being
- 1:19:28profitable. This my soul now.
- 1:19:30>> Yeah. But
- 1:19:32with being profitable,
- 1:19:34man, there was a week straight where God
- 1:19:37would bring me up uh wake me up at 2:00
- 1:19:39a.m.
- 1:19:40>> Mhm.
- 1:19:40>> and just start bringing people to my
- 1:19:42memory.
- 1:19:43>> Wow.
- 1:19:44>> Bullies from middle school. I don't I I
- 1:19:46done forgot their name until that
- 1:19:48moment.
- 1:19:49People that I worked for back in 2013,
- 1:19:532014.
- 1:19:54>> Forgive them.
- 1:19:55>> Forgive them. M
- 1:19:56>> call them by name and forgive them.
- 1:19:59>> Man, I had one boss. I messed up
- 1:20:02somebody order and she threw ketchup
- 1:20:04packets at me like that.
- 1:20:06>> Now, I was in high school when it
- 1:20:07happened.
- 1:20:08>> Wow.
- 1:20:08>> That would never happen in my door hood.
- 1:20:11Somebody getting in trouble.
- 1:20:14>> They cleaned that up good. Somebody get
- 1:20:16in in trouble.
- 1:20:17>> In trouble.
- 1:20:19You had to throw your
- 1:20:23>> Hey,
- 1:20:23hey, that boy got in his splash.
- 1:20:25>> I did. I did. He brought me back. He
- 1:20:27brought me back. But but I had to
- 1:20:29forgive, man. Dude, it man, it was
- 1:20:31people that I forgot even existed, bro.
- 1:20:34>> And when I tell you, I
- 1:20:36God took me through a twoe period of
- 1:20:37just forgiveness, man. And just
- 1:20:39understanding forgiveness. I was
- 1:20:40listening to sermons on forgiveness,
- 1:20:42man.
- 1:20:44It took my training to the next level.
- 1:20:45Like it it just started shifting things,
- 1:20:48bro. It even took my business to the
- 1:20:50next level. Like
- 1:20:51>> I believe it.
- 1:20:51>> It took my impact to the next level.
- 1:20:54Like we
- 1:20:55rapidly
- 1:20:56went from
- 1:20:5890
- 1:20:58Discord members to currently almost
- 1:21:018,000, bro.
- 1:21:03And I'm talking about a matter of like
- 1:21:068 months.
- 1:21:07>> And this is just a community that people
- 1:21:09can just
- 1:21:09>> Yeah. Just join. It's free Discord. Now,
- 1:21:11we do have a VIP section um where we do
- 1:21:15live coaching. So, we do two calls a day
- 1:21:17>> um and that's that's every day um
- 1:21:20throughout the week. So, we do have a
- 1:21:22VIP section, but in our
- 1:21:24main discord, we have
- 1:21:27uh Bible study, we got prayer nights, um
- 1:21:30we talk about the indicator that I have,
- 1:21:32like we
- 1:21:33talk about uh the breakaway bot, like
- 1:21:35you know, we we do community events, I
- 1:21:37do giveaways, like I said, I give a lot.
- 1:21:39So, all that stuff. So that's so good.
- 1:21:41>> Yeah. My my goal, Calvin, this is what
- 1:21:44I've been saying. I want to develop
- 1:21:4610,000 profitable traders. Once I do
- 1:21:48that, I'm done. Like I quit. I'll give
- 1:21:50it to you. You can have it, bro. I don't
- 1:21:52want it. No more.
- 1:21:54>> You just send them my way. I'll
- 1:21:55interview.
- 1:21:55>> Yeah, I'll send them your way, bro. You
- 1:21:56>> I'll interview them. I
- 1:22:00>> There be a lot of interviews.
- 1:22:01>> I know. Dang. I know.
- 1:22:02>> A lot of places you got to get to.
- 1:22:03>> I know. I know. I know.
- 1:22:05>> But I love that, man. Um,
- 1:22:09>> you have such a
- 1:22:11a joy on you.
- 1:22:12>> Yeah. Yeah. Thank you.
- 1:22:13>> It's just refreshing, bro.
- 1:22:14>> Thank you.
- 1:22:15>> And seeing you win
- 1:22:17is like seeing myself win.
- 1:22:19>> It really is. Like, it's a beautiful
- 1:22:21thing to see, bro. And it's like so much
- 1:22:23more is coming your way
- 1:22:25>> and
- 1:22:26just continue to just be positive as you
- 1:22:29are. Be the light that you are. Continue
- 1:22:31to control the room with that big
- 1:22:33energy, that big passion. I love it,
- 1:22:36bro. I love it. I love it. I love it.
- 1:22:38>> Um,
- 1:22:40>> so
- 1:22:41when you
- 1:22:43actually
- 1:22:46got the keys,
- 1:22:47signed the documents, the Tesla is
- 1:22:49yours.
- 1:22:50>> Oh, yes. Shoot. Dang. Sorry.
- 1:22:52>> What did that feel like driving off
- 1:22:55>> it? So, in we documented the whole
- 1:22:57thing. It man, I don't know what it is,
- 1:23:00K. Like I said, I need therapy, bro. Cuz
- 1:23:03every big win in my life,
- 1:23:06I think because I've dealt with a lot of
- 1:23:07disappointments, bro, it just don't be
- 1:23:09feeling real. Like, it just don't it
- 1:23:11feel like even when you hit me up, bro.
- 1:23:14Like, I was like, that ain't really him,
- 1:23:16bro. They playing, bro.
- 1:23:18But like, you know, it it just never
- 1:23:21feels real. Like, man, it it's even deep
- 1:23:24to the level of like when my kids was
- 1:23:25born. Like, just don't feel real. like
- 1:23:28I can't fully grasp it cuz it doesn't I
- 1:23:31I just don't know yet, you know? Um so
- 1:23:33that's something that I'm really
- 1:23:34struggling and really need to work
- 1:23:36through. And I
- 1:23:38I think when I got the car cuz I wanted
- 1:23:40it for so long, for years. Mhm.
- 1:23:43>> Um I think for me,
- 1:23:46you know, I just kind of like smiled and
- 1:23:48I was just like, man, like wow, like
- 1:23:51cool, you know, but I but I also think
- 1:23:53there's a healthy factor of like the job
- 1:23:55is not done, you know, like for sure,
- 1:23:57>> you know, uh I still got to retire my
- 1:24:00parents. Like I still got to retire my
- 1:24:01wife's parents. Like we we got work to
- 1:24:04do. Like you know, it it's celebrating,
- 1:24:07but it's also like all right, let's go.
- 1:24:09Like game's not over. You know, I
- 1:24:11it and I I don't know if that's healthy
- 1:24:13or not.
- 1:24:14>> No, that's good.
- 1:24:15>> Okay,
- 1:24:16>> that's beautiful, man. Trading fam, I
- 1:24:17wanted to share this photo with you. The
- 1:24:19guy holding up these awards, his name is
- 1:24:21Capono. And Capono is celebrating making
- 1:24:24over a million dollars in a single year
- 1:24:26from his commercial cleaning company.
- 1:24:28And guess what? Capono doesn't do any of
- 1:24:30the cleaning. He's the boss and he hires
- 1:24:33other people to do the cleaning on his
- 1:24:35behalf. Now, the other gentleman in the
- 1:24:37photo who has the braids or the
- 1:24:39cornrows, his name is AJ Simmons. And AJ
- 1:24:42Simmons actually taught Capono
- 1:24:45how to grow his cleaning business from
- 1:24:48ground zero. From the beginning stages
- 1:24:50when Capono was making no money, AJ
- 1:24:52taught him how to grow a successful
- 1:24:54business. And I want to let you know
- 1:24:56right now, trading fam, that if you or
- 1:24:58somebody you know is interested in
- 1:25:01building a business starting from ground
- 1:25:03zero to over $10,000 in recurring
- 1:25:06revenue per month, AJ Simmons is
- 1:25:09offering something right now where he
- 1:25:11and his team will actually walk you
- 1:25:13through, give you the resources, give
- 1:25:15you the guidance, and give you the
- 1:25:16support on how to do that within the
- 1:25:19next year. Again, if you're interested,
- 1:25:21it doesn't matter if you're in business,
- 1:25:23you're not in business. AJ Simmons and
- 1:25:25his team right now are working with
- 1:25:27motivated individuals that are looking
- 1:25:30to grow a new cleaning company or maybe
- 1:25:32an existing cleaning company from zero
- 1:25:35to over $10,000 a month in recurring
- 1:25:38revenue within the first year. Visit
- 1:25:41tradermotivationshow.com/cleaning
- 1:25:45to book your call with AJ and his team
- 1:25:47today to see how they can help and
- 1:25:49assist you. Let's get back to the
- 1:25:51podcast episode. Um, so a dream come
- 1:25:54true.
- 1:25:55>> The car you wanted. You got it.
- 1:25:56>> Got it.
- 1:25:57>> Walk me through your
- 1:25:59your approach with
- 1:26:01evals. So when you're doing these
- 1:26:03>> Yeah. these prop evaluation accounts and
- 1:26:07you're doing the funded, you're
- 1:26:08transitioning to funded. Like can you
- 1:26:09give us
- 1:26:10>> like your game plan like how you're
- 1:26:12doing it? Are you buying one at a time?
- 1:26:14Are you copy trading?
- 1:26:15>> Yeah.
- 1:26:15>> Um like what's your risk plan? How many
- 1:26:17setups per day? What instrument you
- 1:26:19trading? Yeah. Like walk us through
- 1:26:20that. Give us some depth.
- 1:26:21>> That's really good. So
- 1:26:23um let's
- 1:26:24>> like we want to make five bands too.
- 1:26:26Yeah.
- 1:26:26>> You know what I'm saying? All right, we
- 1:26:28want to make, you know, five figures,
- 1:26:30you know, 20K like you,
- 1:26:32>> 100K in payouts every two years. You
- 1:26:34know, we want to be like you.
- 1:26:35>> All right, bet. Let us know.
- 1:26:36>> So, this how you do it. So,
- 1:26:38um, like I said before, you you start
- 1:26:40with one.
- 1:26:41>> Okay.
- 1:26:41>> So,
- 1:26:42get a 50k account.
- 1:26:44>> I'll give myself at least three to four
- 1:26:46day. It depends on how the market's
- 1:26:48moving. So, like we got FOMC tomorrow.
- 1:26:50We had CPI last week. Like, I know the
- 1:26:52market's going to be unpredictable. It's
- 1:26:54going to do crazy things. So, like right
- 1:26:56now I'm taking it really slow cuz I'm
- 1:26:58I'm just now coming back. So, I'm taking
- 1:27:00it real slow. Like, all right, let me
- 1:27:02see, you know, what's going to end up
- 1:27:03happening if we catch good setups. Like
- 1:27:05last night, I took a L the uh you know,
- 1:27:08the day before like one big and then my
- 1:27:10bot is on a two-day winning streak right
- 1:27:13now, like doing really good. So,
- 1:27:15um
- 1:27:16you get funded.
- 1:27:19Next step is you try to do the base
- 1:27:21hits. Get comfortable. get out of the
- 1:27:23grind mentality of
- 1:27:25I'm still trying to pass the eval. You
- 1:27:27passed already. So that's my mindset.
- 1:27:29It's like I passed already. I don't have
- 1:27:31to try to force no setup. I don't I
- 1:27:33don't have to grind anymore. I'm here.
- 1:27:35Let me get comfortable with this. Get
- 1:27:37the payout,
- 1:27:39pay myself. So it's like, okay, if I
- 1:27:41pull out $5,000,
- 1:27:45let me
- 1:27:46take four of that
- 1:27:48and we going to tie that j.
- 1:27:50So me specifically, like some people
- 1:27:52tithe to gross, I tithe what comes in my
- 1:27:54pocket. So that's just how I, you know,
- 1:27:56specifically do it. And so it's like,
- 1:27:58okay, if I pull out
- 1:27:59um if I pull out five, we ti 500
- 1:28:03and then we're um we're spinning,
- 1:28:07>> sorry, we tie the 500, I'm giving myself
- 1:28:11uh
- 1:28:12four bands,
- 1:28:13right? And then the next 500 is going to
- 1:28:16the E valves.
- 1:28:17>> So now we're compounding. So, we're
- 1:28:19doing that until we have 10 profit from
- 1:28:21accounts and then you can start
- 1:28:23withdrawing consistently and then you
- 1:28:25try to add five more and then so I use
- 1:28:28um trade syncer to copy trade.
- 1:28:31>> So, tradesyncer allows you to sync up
- 1:28:34your different accounts together.
- 1:28:35>> Yeah. So, you have one master account
- 1:28:36and then all the other ones follow. So,
- 1:28:39>> where you would have made a 5k payout,
- 1:28:42if you have 10 accounts,
- 1:28:45>> 50k.
- 1:28:46>> Yeah.
- 1:28:46>> Yeah. I barely graduated high school,
- 1:28:48bro. So my mad
- 1:28:50>> You probably making more than 90%of your
- 1:28:53class for real though. Yeah. So yeah. Um
- 1:28:57yeah, that's that's how you do that. And
- 1:28:59so like even when you asked the question
- 1:29:01like or even like made the statement of
- 1:29:02like when you
- 1:29:04if this all crumbled like you have the
- 1:29:06skill to build up like yes that's the
- 1:29:08play.
- 1:29:09>> I just need $50, bro.
- 1:29:11>> I get a little 25k account, get that
- 1:29:13payout, we up. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:29:16It's an amazing skill, bro. It's an
- 1:29:17amazing skill.
- 1:29:18>> Okay. So, that's how you would walk
- 1:29:21through eval to funded.
- 1:29:23>> Yeah.
- 1:29:23>> Okay.
- 1:29:24>> Well, that's how I would walk from eval
- 1:29:26to pay out. But yeah. Yeah. You know, I
- 1:29:28like it. Yeah. So, eval to funded.
- 1:29:30>> To pay out. Yeah.
- 1:29:31>> I like it. I like it. I like it so much.
- 1:29:33So, earlier you mentioned
- 1:29:35>> you get a payout.
- 1:29:36>> Mhm.
- 1:29:37>> Um
- 1:29:37and then you reinvest some into some
- 1:29:40more
- 1:29:41>> Yeah.
- 1:29:41>> accounts as well.
- 1:29:42>> Yep.
- 1:29:43What's the most amount of accounts
- 1:29:44you've had at one time?
- 1:29:47>> 15.
- 1:29:48>> 15 at one time.
- 1:29:49>> Yeah.
- 1:29:49>> And did you get a payout off that?
- 1:29:51>> I did.
- 1:29:52>> And how much was that?
- 1:29:57>> Oh, like if you had the total like
- 1:29:59>> Yeah.
- 1:30:00>> All the accounts combined. Like what do
- 1:30:01you think?
- 1:30:02>> It was It was probably like 15 bands.
- 1:30:0315.
- 1:30:04>> 15 20 bands. Yeah. Cuz I think cuz what
- 1:30:06I try to do is
- 1:30:08if I do get a payout like I want to try
- 1:30:10to get at least 1,500 or 2,000 per
- 1:30:13account.
- 1:30:13>> Per account. I like it.
- 1:30:14>> Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, it's probably like
- 1:30:1715 20.
- 1:30:17>> That's good.
- 1:30:18>> Yeah.
- 1:30:19>> And
- 1:30:20you know, it seems like the real growth
- 1:30:23is when you scale.
- 1:30:24>> Yes. That's where it is. And that's
- 1:30:27where a lot of people get tripped up.
- 1:30:28Because, like, even for me, man, like
- 1:30:31I'll see such and such
- 1:30:33like make 100k,
- 1:30:35and I'm like, "Bro, I'm trying to get
- 1:30:36there," like, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:30:37Like, but some people look at me like
- 1:30:40making 20, and they're like, "You know,
- 1:30:42I want to get there," but it's like you
- 1:30:44have to master
- 1:30:46making a thousand before you can make
- 1:30:4810. You have to master making a 100
- 1:30:49before you can make a thousand. A lot of
- 1:30:51people get tripped up because they're
- 1:30:53trying to get there so fast, but you
- 1:30:55have to scale. This is a scaling
- 1:30:57business. Like, this is for scaling.
- 1:30:59This ain't get rich quick. I I said this
- 1:31:02in my uh in my Discord last week, like
- 1:31:04this ain't the casino. This ain't the
- 1:31:06strip club. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:31:07You can't I said, "You can't shake booty
- 1:31:10for the market." Like, that's going to
- 1:31:11work.
- 1:31:14>> You can't do it.
- 1:31:17You can't.
- 1:31:19You can't do it, Calvin.
- 1:31:22It ain't gonna work, man. So,
- 1:31:25you know, you you you have to get to a
- 1:31:28place, man, of understanding because
- 1:31:30like I
- 1:31:31>> when I was learning how to trade, like
- 1:31:33apart from your videos and a few other
- 1:31:35that were like solid, man. There's other
- 1:31:37videos that I was seeing of people
- 1:31:38saying like, "Yeah, like I'll get in the
- 1:31:40market when I feel like it, make 20K
- 1:31:42real quick, and then I'm done. Like, I
- 1:31:44don't got nothing to do for the day."
- 1:31:45It's like, that's not how it works. You
- 1:31:46don't just go in the market, press a
- 1:31:48button, make 20, and you out. Like,
- 1:31:50that's that's not a thing.
- 1:31:51>> It's a buildup.
- 1:31:52>> Yeah. Like, you capping, bro. Like, you
- 1:31:55know what I'm saying? Like, stop. So,
- 1:31:57but but it messed me up, though, you
- 1:31:59know, cuz I'm thinking, "Oh, I could
- 1:32:01just go like I
- 1:32:02forget this interview. I can go to the
- 1:32:04market right now, make 20K, and then and
- 1:32:06then come back." Like, look how like
- 1:32:07that's not how it works, bro. Like, you
- 1:32:09you have to have a proper system and
- 1:32:12strategy, and you're going to lose, bro.
- 1:32:14It's part of it. Like I I feel like if
- 1:32:16people understood more that you have to
- 1:32:19lose
- 1:32:20u
- 1:32:21good, you have to lose well, you have to
- 1:32:23lose correctly, you'll scale up a lot
- 1:32:25more.
- 1:32:25>> That's true.
- 1:32:26>> You know, um
- 1:32:27>> how do you lose? Well,
- 1:32:29>> that's good, bro. So,
- 1:32:31we have a
- 1:32:33psychology exit plan in my inner circle.
- 1:32:36And so what I do
- 1:32:38if I'm waiting for a long time for a
- 1:32:40setup, so the way that I do is I set
- 1:32:41alerts. Um, so I'm not staring at the
- 1:32:44chart waiting for it to break my high or
- 1:32:45my low. I'll set alerts. If I'm manually
- 1:32:47trading and it's not my buy or my
- 1:32:49indicator giving me the signal. Um,
- 1:32:51what
- 1:32:52what I do is if I wait, okay, price hit
- 1:32:56my line, rejected like it's not ready.
- 1:32:58Okay, it's not ready. Shows a big push
- 1:33:01after breaking my line.
- 1:33:03perfect setup,
- 1:33:05liquidates me, goes in my direction, I'm
- 1:33:07angry. So, the first thing that I do
- 1:33:11if my family's home, I'll go in the
- 1:33:13bathroom.
- 1:33:15I don't know if you do this, Calvin,
- 1:33:16where you just hide in the bathroom for
- 1:33:17a little bit as a dad,
- 1:33:20but I will go hide in the bathroom. I'll
- 1:33:22go on Instagram.
- 1:33:23>> You sitting on the toilet?
- 1:33:25>> I'm sitting on the toilet,
- 1:33:26>> bro. That's my spot. How do you know me
- 1:33:28so well?
- 1:33:28>> Well, you're dad, bro. Like, that's just
- 1:33:30what we do. Like that's that's what we
- 1:33:33do, bro. Like we will go sit on the
- 1:33:35toilet and hide.
- 1:33:36>> Just that's it.
- 1:33:37>> And the toilet seat's down. Like you
- 1:33:38know what I'm saying? Like we
- 1:33:40>> Well, mine be up.
- 1:33:41>> Oh, yours be up. Okay. Okay. Yeah. No,
- 1:33:43my I I go
- 1:33:44>> I just killed two birds with one.
- 1:33:46>> That's good. That's good. See, that's
- 1:33:48good. I probably should do that more
- 1:33:50often. I should probably just sit there
- 1:33:51and wait.
- 1:33:55>> Yeah, you
- 1:33:58But yeah, bro. So, I just sit, man, and
- 1:34:00and I'll go on Instagram. You know, on
- 1:34:02Instagram, they have the algorithm now
- 1:34:04where if you press the button, um you
- 1:34:07can pick what type of content you want
- 1:34:08to see. Correct.
- 1:34:09>> So, for me to get out of the mode of
- 1:34:12being angry and wanting to get back in,
- 1:34:14I'll um look at funny videos.
- 1:34:17>> Bro, we are like twins. That's If you
- 1:34:21look at who I follow,
- 1:34:23it's a bunch of people that do funny
- 1:34:24videos,
- 1:34:25>> bro. That's me, bro. I have to.
- 1:34:27>> Go ahead. Go ahead. And I do it on my
- 1:34:29other account that's not my trading
- 1:34:31account because
- 1:34:33it's nothing worse than losing $1,000
- 1:34:36and seeing that somebody just made 20.
- 1:34:38>> Yeah.
- 1:34:39>> It's nothing worse than losing $10,000
- 1:34:42and seeing that.
- 1:34:43>> So don't follow traders.
- 1:34:44>> Well, I I want to still get the
- 1:34:46motivation though cuz I'm not making
- 1:34:48100K yet. You know what I'm saying? I
- 1:34:50like per trade, you know, like I I want
- 1:34:52to get the inspiration, but
- 1:34:54uh I have another account like I have a
- 1:34:56burner account like where it's just for
- 1:34:58that purpose.
- 1:34:59>> Who you don't went off on?
- 1:35:00>> Huh?
- 1:35:01>> I say who you went off on on that burner
- 1:35:03account.
- 1:35:03>> Oh my god. Nobody. Nobody. Nobody.
- 1:35:06Go ahead.
- 1:35:06>> Cuz I hate when people do it to me.
- 1:35:10>> Uhhuh.
- 1:35:12>> Nah. Never. But um man, I'll look at
- 1:35:14funny videos, bro, and it's like
- 1:35:17I'm not getting off until I'm calm.
- 1:35:20Like until I feel like, okay,
- 1:35:23it's part of the game.
- 1:35:24>> Yeah,
- 1:35:24>> we'll come back tomorrow. Um sometimes I
- 1:35:27lose and I'm not even mad. Like I'm just
- 1:35:29like, all right, whatever. Like, you
- 1:35:30know what I'm saying? Like that it
- 1:35:31happened last night. Like I I lost last
- 1:35:33night. Um, I had a really bad entry last
- 1:35:36night and um,
- 1:35:38it was just like it it just it wasn't
- 1:35:41it wasn't a good entry, man. Like I saw
- 1:35:43the market pushing in one direction, got
- 1:35:45faked out, lost 900. Um, but my bot won
- 1:35:48on the other five accounts. So, I'm
- 1:35:50like, I can't be too mad cuz my, you
- 1:35:52know, so the the secret thing that I'm
- 1:35:54doing right now is I'm trying to see if
- 1:35:56I can perform better than my bot because
- 1:35:58it performs really well. So, I'm
- 1:36:00that that's some content that I'm
- 1:36:02working on right now. But
- 1:36:03um yeah, so if that doesn't work, if the
- 1:36:06Instagram thing doesn't work,
- 1:36:08I'll uh go to my wife and I'll let her
- 1:36:11know, "Babe, I feel like getting back in
- 1:36:13the market. I just lost. I need help."
- 1:36:15You know, I like that.
- 1:36:16>> Um so that's my emergency exit plan.
- 1:36:19And I always tell people, especially in
- 1:36:22the inner circle, that's part of
- 1:36:24the onboarding. You need to have your
- 1:36:27emergency exit plan. You need to have
- 1:36:29your why. Why do you trade? And then um
- 1:36:32you need to tell us what your end goal
- 1:36:34is
- 1:36:34so you can always be reminded of it. And
- 1:36:37then we talk about journaling your
- 1:36:39trades. You need to I said, I don't even
- 1:36:41care if you enter the trade by accident
- 1:36:42and you got out journal it. Like, you
- 1:36:44know, you need to get in the habit of
- 1:36:46journaling, and we go through the
- 1:36:48emotions and everything, because
- 1:36:506 months from now you need to go back to
- 1:36:53see if you're still making the same
- 1:36:54mistakes. Are you still trading while
- 1:36:55you're nervous? Are you still trading
- 1:36:56while you're frustrated? you know, like
- 1:36:59um
- 1:36:59>> do you still trade nervous?
- 1:37:01>> I don't trade nervous. I don't I don't
- 1:37:04I'm never nervous in the market. Um
- 1:37:06>> how did you build this? Like I want to
- 1:37:08dig into that cuz I think that's a real
- 1:37:10good
- 1:37:11>> valid thing to bring up.
- 1:37:12>> Yeah.
- 1:37:13>> Um
- 1:37:13especially with the trading fam here
- 1:37:15with us.
- 1:37:15>> Yeah.
- 1:37:16>> Um
- 1:37:18>> would you say you're not nervous because
- 1:37:21you have so much confidence in this
- 1:37:23strategy that you put together?
- 1:37:25Yeah, I think yeah.
- 1:37:28I would say I'm it's, it's confidence in
- 1:37:30the strategy, but it's also my identity
- 1:37:33is not attached to winning or losing in
- 1:37:36the market, like you know? And that's
- 1:37:38something that I preach a lot too, like
- 1:37:39I you, don't
- 1:37:42if you lose a trade or win a trade,
- 1:37:44it doesn't it's, it's not a reflection
- 1:37:46of you you as a person or your
- 1:37:48character, you know, like.
- 1:37:49>> but even when you were going through
- 1:37:51like what you went through financially
- 1:37:52like when you didn't have no money and
- 1:37:54you're trading, you still didn't
- 1:37:57>> like feel worth
- 1:38:00>> in the trades you were taking
- 1:38:02>> because it was like, man, if if this
- 1:38:03don't work, like I'm not going to be
- 1:38:05financially where I need to be.
- 1:38:06>> Yeah. I got to go back to that place,
- 1:38:08man, cuz I I got to remember if that cuz
- 1:38:10I'm I'm I'm more so thinking about where
- 1:38:12I'm at now.
- 1:38:13>> Um back then probably. I mean,
- 1:38:15>> but even now, like now you have like,
- 1:38:19you know,
- 1:38:20>> a following, you have students under
- 1:38:21you.
- 1:38:22>> Yeah. you don't feel like and I'm not
- 1:38:24trying to convince you to feel that way.
- 1:38:26>> Oh god, I think I do like
- 1:38:28>> but I want to tap into like how did you
- 1:38:30get that way you know? So even now
- 1:38:35>> you don't feel like
- 1:38:36>> if you can't perform anymore that you'll
- 1:38:39lose how people see you now and the
- 1:38:42notoriety or anything like that.
- 1:38:43>> Got you. Yeah, on that part
- 1:38:46I did struggle with that. I did. Yes, on
- 1:38:49that part. Yes. Now, when it comes to
- 1:38:51nerves in the market, I I I don't I
- 1:38:54don't know. But yes, on that like there
- 1:38:56there people don't understand that
- 1:38:59when you
- 1:39:00say yes to becoming a trading coach. For
- 1:39:03me specifically, I feel like this is a
- 1:39:05calling that God has put over my life.
- 1:39:07Like I feel like God has anointed and
- 1:39:10appointed me to encourage people in
- 1:39:12their journey because I want people to
- 1:39:13realize that it's deeper than just the
- 1:39:15markets. Like this is about having faith
- 1:39:17in him. Yeah.
- 1:39:18>> And even if God said don't trade no
- 1:39:20more, would you do it? You know,
- 1:39:22so it's part
- 1:39:26I feel like
- 1:39:29>> I really struggle with imposttor
- 1:39:30syndrome. Like it was really like
- 1:39:33shoot man.
- 1:39:35Um
- 1:39:36people are seeing me as this profitable
- 1:39:38trader.
- 1:39:40Maybe I maybe I jumped into this too
- 1:39:42soon. Like I'm starting to have these
- 1:39:43different doubts. Like I mean I'm
- 1:39:45winning and I'm flexing these P&L games,
- 1:39:48but like
- 1:39:49is am I just getting lucky? Like am I on
- 1:39:52a
- 1:39:536 8 month like luck streak? You know
- 1:39:55what I'm saying? Like I'm struggling and
- 1:39:57battling with these thoughts and I'm
- 1:39:59like like what if
- 1:40:01like what if I just start losing all of
- 1:40:02a sudden? Like and I'm and I like the
- 1:40:05luck has run out. Like I
- 1:40:07I've struggled with that, bro. Like
- 1:40:09let's be real. Like I struggle with it.
- 1:40:11It's like
- 1:40:13like will people not take me serious?
- 1:40:15Like would will I trades make a a video
- 1:40:18about me on YouTube?
- 1:40:22You know what I'm saying? I'm battling
- 1:40:24with all these things. But
- 1:40:26God had to heal me and free me from
- 1:40:28that. And
- 1:40:30I think,
- 1:40:31you know, you and I talked about this a
- 1:40:33little bit on the way here, but it's
- 1:40:34like
- 1:40:36that
- 1:40:37people
- 1:40:38did not say yes to you
- 1:40:41because of that. You know what I'm
- 1:40:43saying? So, even
- 1:40:45bro, you've you helped me my whole
- 1:40:46training journey like like even now,
- 1:40:49bro, like in my profitability, you're
- 1:40:52still helping me, bro. You
- 1:40:53>> you that dude, Calvin. But but yeah, so
- 1:40:56um
- 1:40:58I I believe that you set me free today
- 1:41:00on that, bro. I really do. I believe
- 1:41:02that I I'm I'm set free from that. That
- 1:41:04I don't
- 1:41:05have to
- 1:41:06perform
- 1:41:08um to show people that I know what I'm
- 1:41:10talking about. One,
- 1:41:12because I
- 1:41:13my identity doesn't even need to be
- 1:41:15attached to that. But also on the flip
- 1:41:18side, we got receipts everywhere. Like
- 1:41:20we got so many receipts. Like you could
- 1:41:22go in our free Discord right now and go
- 1:41:25look at all the wins today. I'm not even
- 1:41:27talking about today.
- 1:41:29>> Today
- 1:41:30>> cuz they do it every day. Today you can
- 1:41:32go in there right now. I love it.
- 1:41:34>> I don't care when this video drops. You
- 1:41:36could do it this second. Pause the video
- 1:41:38and go look right now and you'll see
- 1:41:40people winning with with the indicator
- 1:41:41bot or strategy, you know. So,
- 1:41:44>> um
- 1:41:45>> yeah, there's there there's a confidence
- 1:41:46there.
- 1:41:47>> Yeah. And then
- 1:41:49yeah, like the fear like no fear in the
- 1:41:51market like it's just none like it's
- 1:41:53just none there like
- 1:41:54>> nah nah it it's not I I do now that
- 1:41:57doesn't mean that there isn't
- 1:41:59frustration like that doesn't mean that
- 1:42:01like I don't get frustrated when I lose.
- 1:42:03I think for me, like, cuz you know, like
- 1:42:05fear is you get in a trade and you see
- 1:42:08it going up, but it's starting to like
- 1:42:10retrace a little bit, and you get out
- 1:42:12early. Like, that's fear, right, for me?
- 1:42:16And this is bad,
- 1:42:18but there's times it's not bad; but it
- 1:42:20can be bad if you do it wrong. There's
- 1:42:21times where like price I I'll follow my
- 1:42:24rules and I'll set my stop loss to break
- 1:42:26even. Um and price is edging my TP.
- 1:42:30There's times where I'm so confident
- 1:42:33that it's going to just hit my TP
- 1:42:36that I'm just like I don't even care.
- 1:42:37Like I'm break even. It's risk-free and
- 1:42:39it just like goes back and hits my break
- 1:42:40even when I really should have got out.
- 1:42:42So there there's
- 1:42:45for me it's not nerves. It's more so
- 1:42:48like I just trust the system. Like I
- 1:42:50back tested this, bro. Like I spent
- 1:42:52months and then having to develop a
- 1:42:54indicator. You have to back test even
- 1:42:56more. You got to get more data. like you
- 1:42:59like I put the groundwork in. I put the
- 1:43:02leg work in. Like
- 1:43:03>> you've seen this work over and over
- 1:43:04again.
- 1:43:04>> I've seen it work over and over again on
- 1:43:06multiple time frames, multiple
- 1:43:08instruments, you know, and then putting
- 1:43:10the bot together like cuz the thing
- 1:43:11trades for you. So it's like you got to,
- 1:43:14you know, we put in work on that too. So
- 1:43:16for me, I've seen it happen frequent
- 1:43:18enough to trust it and not be, you know,
- 1:43:21>> I like that. That's really good.
- 1:43:23>> Yeah. Um
- 1:43:24man,
- 1:43:25what would you say to somebody? Um
- 1:43:28and then I want to give you the floor
- 1:43:30after that if there's anything I didn't
- 1:43:32ask, you know, for you to just um
- 1:43:35>> just say what's on your heart. But if
- 1:43:37there is somebody right now
- 1:43:39that's feeling hopeless,
- 1:43:43>> if you can go back to
- 1:43:46the version of you that was
- 1:43:48in that car.
- 1:43:49>> Mhm.
- 1:43:51>> In line at that food pantry
- 1:43:53>> just trying to
- 1:43:55make these dreams
- 1:43:57stay alive.
- 1:43:58>> Mhm.
- 1:43:59>> What would you say to somebody that's
- 1:44:01just feeling hopeless today?
- 1:44:03>> Yeah. I would just say trust God, man.
- 1:44:08Like trust God with all your heart.
- 1:44:11All your heart. Lean not on your own
- 1:44:13understanding. All your heart.
- 1:44:17This too shall pass.
- 1:44:22There's times where we have to go
- 1:44:24through certain situations and seasons
- 1:44:27so that God can prepare you and build
- 1:44:30you up to sustain what you've been
- 1:44:32praying for.
- 1:44:33>> That's good. So there's times where we
- 1:44:35could be asking for a financial
- 1:44:37blessing. Just because you pray for it
- 1:44:38doesn't mean the answer is yes. It could
- 1:44:40mean not yet.
- 1:44:42You have to have the character to
- 1:44:43sustain it. You don't want a taste of
- 1:44:46what you're praying for. You want to
- 1:44:47thrive in it.
- 1:44:49And so if that's the case, endure the
- 1:44:51hardship. Endure the hard season.
- 1:44:54It's going to end.
- 1:44:56Push through. Press through.
- 1:44:59So that that's that's what I believe,
- 1:45:01man.
