- 0:03If you are a competitive FPS player in
- 0:052026, there has never been a better time
- 0:08for you to start aim training. With the
- 0:10growth of [music] AIM groups like
- 0:12Voltaic and now Raw Input, featuring
- 0:14profoundly skillful players that
- 0:15constantly produce new content and new
- 0:17resources surrounding aim training,
- 0:19there is a wealth of information that
- 0:21will inform you on your journey to
- 0:23becoming the best aimer that you can
- 0:24possibly be. And with Aim Labs esports
- 0:26now just around the corner and
- 0:28professional players across all the
- 0:29different kinds of FPS games getting
- 0:31better and better at their mechanics,
- 0:33there is a lot to gain from starting aim
- 0:35training today. And if you're watching
- 0:36this video and you're thinking that
- 0:38you're starting far too late, oh, I'm X
- 0:41years old. There's no way I'll be able
- 0:42to catch up to the younger generation of
- 0:45players who have been grinding this for
- 0:46almost decades. Don't fret. There is
- 0:49literally a 53-year-old aimer who has
- 0:52reached a very impressive level of skill
- 0:54in the Aim Labs official benchmarks.
- 0:55[music] If you have a working hand and
- 0:57you are truly dedicated to getting
- 0:59better aim, there is no such thing as
- 1:01being too late. In this video, I'm going
- 1:04to walk you through how to get started
- 1:05with aim training step by step. This is
- 1:07the first of a three episode miniseries
- 1:09[music] where I will start out by
- 1:10guiding you through the initial steps
- 1:12such as which aim trainer you should
- 1:14use, setting up the aim trainer, and
- 1:16picking the right scenarios to get
- 1:17moving. Then I will provide an updated
- 1:20version of my top five in training tips
- 1:22video, which is a super old video that
- 1:24I've released all the way back in 2021
- 1:26that got really popular. Those tips are
- 1:28kind of outdated or not really as
- 1:30informative [music] today. So that will
- 1:32be part of this series. And finally, I
- 1:34will be going over the common reasons
- 1:36why people claim aim training doesn't
- 1:38work and explaining why these reasons
- 1:39are mostly bogus or simply
- 1:42narrowsighted. I will start off with
- 1:43this video and then the others will be
- 1:45coming in the near future.
- 1:47There are three primary aim trainers
- 1:49available on Steam. They are Kovac FPS
- 1:52aim trainer, Aim Labs, and Aimbeaste. If
- 1:55you are just starting out, which one
- 1:56should you get and why?
- 1:59I think if you are super fresh to aim
- 2:01training, like in the sense that you are
- 2:03new to mouse and keyboard gaming, I'd
- 2:05argue that it's not a bad idea to start
- 2:07with AimLabs. It's not as difficult to
- 2:09discover great scenarios as it used to
- 2:11be in AimLabs. And the mainstream AIM
- 2:13group, Voltaic, has been partnered with
- 2:14AimLabs for a long time. So, a ton of
- 2:17their most current resources and
- 2:18routines are available there, and it's
- 2:21also completely free.
- 2:24However, in my most honest opinion, you
- 2:27absolutely cannot go wrong starting out
- 2:29with Kovac FPS aim trainer. For just the
- 2:32extremely cheap price of 10 USD on
- 2:34Steam, you can get access to the most
- 2:36diverse selection of scenarios and
- 2:38playlists available, as well as the
- 2:39extremely clean UI and navigation.
- 2:42But most importantly, the scenarios you
- 2:44will be playing will be more robust in
- 2:46the sense that they have parabolic
- 2:48motion. Not to get into the math, but as
- 2:50you level up in skill, moving through
- 2:52aim labs, you might notice that
- 2:54sometimes the targets movements become
- 2:56overly linear or feel directly
- 2:58programmed into the scenario. In Kovac
- 3:00scenarios, movement is more spontaneous
- 3:02and feels more realistic to the real FPS
- 3:05game. And then we have aim beast, which
- 3:07is the least popular of the three and
- 3:09also has the lowest scenario variety.
- 3:12Aim Beast is also a paid aim trainer
- 3:14with the price of only $8 on Steam. So
- 3:16cheaper than Coax, but with a bit less
- 3:19that you get access to. However,
- 3:21Aimbeast does have, in my opinion, the
- 3:23best performance out of the three and
- 3:25some of the most challenging scenarios
- 3:26available in any AIM trainer. In this
- 3:29video, I will be providing you with a
- 3:31comprehensive starter routine. I will
- 3:33only be building this routine in Aim
- 3:35Labs and Kovac. I do not have the most
- 3:38experience with scenarios in Aimbeast
- 3:39and I don't think it's the best option
- 3:41for you to go with if you are first
- 3:42starting out. However, if you do find
- 3:44that you are enjoying aim training and
- 3:46want to explore further resources or
- 3:48challenge yourself more, I highly
- 3:50encourage you to purchase Aimbeast and
- 3:51try it out for yourself after getting a
- 3:53little bit more experience. Now, let's
- 3:56get into a brief setup guide. All right,
- 3:59we're first going to start off with an
- 4:01Aim Lab setup guide. And this isn't
- 4:03going to be a really indepth walkthrough
- 4:05of every single setting. This is just
- 4:08going to be an overview of all of the
- 4:10default settings that I think everyone
- 4:12should be using if they play aim labs or
- 4:15aim trainer. And so we're going to start
- 4:18off with the sensitivity tab. For the
- 4:21game profile, we're going to go with
- 4:22Overwatch 2. That's because a lot of the
- 4:25settings that we'll be using, such as
- 4:27field of view, 103 FOV is the standard
- 4:31FOV that pretty much every scenario is
- 4:33designed around these days. So, you'll
- 4:36want to stick with that. You can go
- 4:38higher FOV than that, but I don't
- 4:39recommend that you go lower unless for
- 4:41certain situations or specific kinds of
- 4:44practice. And then everything else you
- 4:46can kind of just copy here. Sensitivity
- 4:49options you would want to have at
- 4:51advanced. And the reason for that is so
- 4:53that when you go to your mouse tab
- 4:55underneath sensitivity, you can set your
- 4:58360 distance. And I'm pretty sure that
- 5:00that is how it works. You'll need to
- 5:03have advanced clicked so that you can
- 5:05set your sensitivity in CMER 360.
- 5:09CMER 360 is the universal measurement
- 5:12for sensitivity in aim trainers or in
- 5:15basically all FPS games and all all
- 5:18things aiming these days. So, if you
- 5:20don't know your sensitivity and you're
- 5:22probably using something like uh an
- 5:24outdated eDPI measure, uh you'll have to
- 5:27go to mouse-sensitivity.com
- 5:29to convert your sensitivity over to
- 5:31cmper 360 over there and bring it over
- 5:33into Aimlabs. This is just the easiest
- 5:36way to do it. You can select a specific
- 5:39game profile sensitivity, but I don't
- 5:41recommend you do that. Just adopt the
- 5:43universal CM for 360 setting.
- 5:47And then everything else here we could
- 5:48kind of just copy.
- 5:51And for a controller,
- 5:53no, we don't want you to be the
- 5:55controller.
- 5:56Anyways,
- 5:58for the crosshair, you could pretty much
- 6:00use any crosser that you would want. Uh
- 6:02you can import your crosser into the
- 6:04game. Don't bother using the crosshair
- 6:06builder. In the description, I have
- 6:08provided just three crossers that you
- 6:09will want to use. You can go off and
- 6:11find more if you want, but I genuinely
- 6:13believe that you just need these three.
- 6:16One is Z plus1, which is the default
- 6:18crosser that literally every aimer likes
- 6:20to use, and it looks like this.
- 6:24And this is usually for clicking and
- 6:26target switching. And another one, which
- 6:28we already saw here, is Snowy Sharp Dot.
- 6:30And this is a smaller plus light crosser
- 6:33that is better used for tracking
- 6:34scenarios. And then another one I think
- 6:36is snowy soft cross
- 6:39which is if you prefer to not have
- 6:41outlines and this one's mostly good for
- 6:43clicking scenarios.
- 6:46Moving on, we have the targets tab. You
- 6:50could pretty much set these to whatever
- 6:52you want. This will be mostly affected
- 6:53to uh the theme that you're using. For
- 6:56audio,
- 6:58I like to only have hit sounds and kill
- 7:01sounds on. And sometimes I I like to use
- 7:05the pacebased hit sound. Basically, what
- 7:07this means is as you continue to get
- 7:08hits on a target or kill targets, the
- 7:11pitch of the hit sound will continue to
- 7:13increase.
- 7:15And I don't really like to run spawn
- 7:16sounds in aimlabs.
- 7:18For graphics, I think you guys should
- 7:20just copy pretty much everything here.
- 7:22I'm in full screen mode right now just
- 7:24for the sake of helping me record
- 7:25better, but you should be running full
- 7:27screen exclusive on this. If you have
- 7:30stutters, then you should be running
- 7:32full screen windowed because some
- 7:34scenarios can stutter if they're not uh
- 7:37if they're in full screen.
- 7:39Everything else should line up. And all
- 7:42of these graphic settings, you want it
- 7:43all on the fastest. Turn off every
- 7:45single one of these things. [music] You
- 7:47don't want to have visual clutter or any
- 7:49sort of effects that are happening in
- 7:50your game, especially in a name trainer
- 7:52where all of that is supposed to be out.
- 7:55In the visuals tab,
- 7:57there's not much that you need to worry
- 7:59about here. Normally, this would be a
- 8:01very weird explanation trying to get the
- 8:03lighting correct, but they've since
- 8:04updated the UI quite a bit. And all you
- 8:07need to do is load one of the themes
- 8:08included in the description of this
- 8:10video using the load theme option in
- 8:12this tab.
- 8:15And everything else here should be
- 8:17automatically covered by that.
- 8:20In the game, you can pretty much copy
- 8:23everything here. Again, make sure that
- 8:25you turn off your weapon. I know some
- 8:27people want to make the argument that if
- 8:30they're new and they're trying to have
- 8:32the greatest translation into the game,
- 8:34they should have the weapon model, but I
- 8:36don't think it does anything for you
- 8:38except obscure your vision and
- 8:41everything else uh should be the same.
- 8:44So, this has just been simple setup
- 8:47guide for aim labs and now we're going
- 8:48to move on to Kovac.
- 8:51For setting up Kovac, I highly recommend
- 8:53that you go to my most recent setup
- 8:55guide for Kovac FPS aim trainer. That
- 8:58one is linked in the description. I will
- 9:00not be going setting by setting for
- 9:02Kovac in this video. I will, however,
- 9:04head over to the visuals tab. Also
- 9:07included in the description is genuinely
- 9:09the only two themes that you're going to
- 9:11need to start off with Kovac. Clover
- 9:13static for stationary target scenarios
- 9:15and Clover Alternate, the best theme
- 9:18ever made for literally anything else.
- 9:21For hit sounds in both aim trainers, I
- 9:23have included three sound files. When
- 9:25you import them, what you want to do is
- 9:27set the sounds according to how they're
- 9:28named. So, for example, you will use the
- 9:30sound named hit sound.g as a sound your
- 9:33game will play when you hit the target.
- 9:35This is what these sounds will sound
- 9:37like when all used together.
- 9:52and any other sound like miss sounds or
- 9:54shoot sounds should be turned off as
- 9:55shown previously. Also, make absolutely
- 9:58sure you turn off all gun displays,
- 10:00bullet holes, [music]
- 10:01or any random cosmetic feedback that
- 10:04might be on by default that I might have
- 10:05missed to ensure that you will get the
- 10:07most clutter-free experience possible. I
- 10:10strongly believe that aim trainers
- 10:11should just install with all of that
- 10:13garbage off, but it's what we've got to
- 10:15deal with for now. Now, for the routine
- 10:18and what you should be expecting to
- 10:19play, I will be making one for both Aim
- 10:22Labs and Kovac, but we will be using
- 10:24Kovac to showcase it. Don't worry, they
- 10:26will be training the exact same thing
- 10:28across the trainers. Each routine
- 10:30contains 15 scenarios split into three
- 10:33categories. So that means five clicking
- 10:36scenarios, five tracking scenarios and
- 10:38five switching scenarios. And
- 10:39importantly, the order in which each of
- 10:41the five scenarios are organized
- 10:43matters. This is the order in which you
- 10:46should be prioritizing them, not just
- 10:48the play order. You must master clicking
- 10:50scenario one, then clicking scenario 2,
- 10:52and so on. This is because the scenarios
- 10:55build on each other. Now, you don't need
- 10:58to master clicking before tracking or
- 11:00tracking before switching, but you
- 11:02should go in order for the individual
- 11:04category. And here's why. The playlist
- 11:07begins with two basic static clicking
- 11:09scenarios. In these scenarios, the
- 11:11intention is to force you to learn the
- 11:13Bard method, which is the fundamental
- 11:14click timing approach that is used in
- 11:16basically any flicking oriented clicking
- 11:18scenario, consisting of an initial flick
- 11:20and a microcorrection. I have a couple
- 11:23videos explaining the Barta's method in
- 11:24the description, but there will be more
- 11:26on this in the next episode.
- 11:29The reason that you want to go in order
- 11:30here is because you can see how as the
- 11:33sub routine progresses, the difficulty
- 11:35is not necessarily increasing, but you
- 11:37are easing yourself into more diverse
- 11:39movement scenarios. For example, the
- 11:41next scenario is a basic horizontal tile
- 11:44frenzy scenario that asks you to use the
- 11:46flicking technique you developed from
- 11:47the static scenarios. Yes, I know, Tile
- 11:50Frenzy, but trust me, when you play it,
- 11:52it's a lot harder to just spam click
- 11:54your way to a good run.
- 11:58The tracking section does the same
- 12:00thing, starting you off with the most
- 12:01easy control tracking scenarios. Some of
- 12:04you might be thinking, Maddie, this is
- 12:06too easy. I'm hitting almost 60% and I
- 12:08just started aim training. That's
- 12:10expected because the goal here is to
- 12:12force you to iron out those very tiny
- 12:14errors that are keeping you from
- 12:15hitting, say, 70% or 80%. You have to
- 12:19come to a fine balance in tension
- 12:21management and develop proactive reading
- 12:22of target strafs. We then test you on
- 12:25this with a smoothness scenario followed
- 12:27by more diverse reactive variants. Then
- 12:30you get to the switching section where
- 12:32in the exact same way we start off easy
- 12:34with stationary targets ints.
- 12:37Then we introduce x-axis movement, then
- 12:40full aerial movement, and finally
- 12:42increasing the TTK to switch the
- 12:43category to evasive. Here you want to be
- 12:46thinking about the flick to track
- 12:48transition and practicing using your
- 12:50peripheral vision to make proper target
- 12:52pryo decisions.
- 12:54And we are out of time for this first
- 12:56video. Catch us back here sometime in
- 12:58the next couple weeks for an updated aim
- 13:00training tips video and my personal
- 13:02response to how to fix your aim training
- 13:04approach if you feel that aim trainers
- 13:06aren't working for you. Until then, I
- 13:08hope you guys enjoy the routine. Check
