  1. 0:00So, you want to start a business
  2. 0:01cleaning houses or cleaning businesses?
  3. 0:03Well, you're in the right place because
  4. 0:05I am the cleaning business goat and I'm
  5. 0:07here to tell you how to start a cleaning
  6. 0:10business step-by-step. And not just
  7. 0:11start a cleaning business, but a
  8. 0:12six-figure plus cleaning business. So,
  9. 0:15let's get into it right now. You ain't
  10. 0:16got to get no course, none of that. Stay
  11. 0:18tuned for the steps right here.
  12. 0:44What's up, y'all? I'm AJ Simmons,
  13. 0:45founder of the Clean Biz Network. And
  14. 0:48that right there is why they call me the
  15. 0:49goat of the cleaning business cuz I help
  16. 0:51multiple people, not just multiple
  17. 0:53people, thousands of people all over the
  18. 0:55world start and grow their cleaning
  19. 0:57companies because I founded Clean Biz
  20. 0:59Network. And I just give away free game
  21. 1:02every single day right here on YouTube.
  22. 1:04You know what I mean? So, so here we go.
  23. 1:06Step number one, make your plan. All
  24. 1:08right? Simply make your plan. So, figure
  25. 1:09out, do I want to clean houses? Do I
  26. 1:11want to clean buildings? Do I want to
  27. 1:13clean particular types of buildings? Do
  28. 1:15I want to clean uh law offices? Dental
  29. 1:17offices? Do I want to clean apartment
  30. 1:19buildings? Do I want Like, figure out
  31. 1:20exactly what lane do you want to stay
  32. 1:22in? Do you want to just clean whatever
  33. 1:24they throw your way, right? So, figure
  34. 1:25out what type of cleaning it is that you
  35. 1:27want to do. Now, me personally, my
  36. 1:29background is in commercial cleaning.
  37. 1:31That mean that pretty much any type of
  38. 1:32business, I have experience in cleaning
  39. 1:34it. I stayed away from apartment
  40. 1:36turnovers. I really didn't like
  41. 1:37residential cleaning. And then I was
  42. 1:39around before Airbnb cleaning really
  43. 1:41came along. So, those aren't really my
  44. 1:43specialties, but the steps that I'm
  45. 1:44giving you here will help you to start
  46. 1:46and set up your business for any one of
  47. 1:48those niches, all right? But, just
  48. 1:49number one, figure out exactly the
  49. 1:51direction that you want to go in, all
  50. 1:52right? So, that's step number one. Step
  51. 1:54number two, pick your name. And when you
  52. 1:56pick your name, don't get ridiculous
  53. 1:58with it, right? You don't have to start,
  54. 2:00you know,
  55. 2:01fancy pants biggest of all time cleaning
  56. 2:04service, right? You don't want such a
  57. 2:06huge long name. Keep it simple and think
  58. 2:09big, right? Cuz we trying to start a
  59. 2:10six-figure plus cleaning company, not
  60. 2:12just no so fly-by-night hustle side
  61. 2:15business to your record label company,
  62. 2:17right? We want to start a six-figure
  63. 2:18plus cleaning company. So, if you going
  64. 2:20to do that, you got to have a six-figure
  65. 2:22plus name. So, keep it simple like
  66. 2:24Toronto cleaning services, right? Or New
  67. 2:28York City cleaning.
  68. 2:30You know what I mean? Or Jacksonville
  69. 2:31Cleaning Co, right? Virginia Beach
  70. 2:34Cleaning Services, right? You can kind
  71. 2:35of base it around your locality. Or you
  72. 2:38can base it around your state. Or you
  73. 2:40can say something simple and plain that
  74. 2:41just basically when they hear the name,
  75. 2:42they know what you do. All Clean
  76. 2:45Services, or Clean Pro Services, right?
  77. 2:49Or just Clean Pro. Or Pro Clean. So, you
  78. 2:52get the point. But basically, just keep
  79. 2:54it simple on the name. That's all right.
  80. 2:55That's the first thing. The next thing
  81. 2:56is once you think of a name, make sure
  82. 2:58you go and check and see if that name is
  83. 3:00available. So, the first thing you want
  84. 3:01to search is your state's database,
  85. 3:03right? So, every state where you go to
  86. 3:06register your LLC, which will be a a
  87. 3:08step that's coming up later, but every
  88. 3:10state will have a place where you can
  89. 3:11search a database and see if the name is
  90. 3:13available. So, make sure you search and
  91. 3:15see if the name is available with your
  92. 3:16state. And then also make sure that you
  93. 3:18search for the domain name, all right?
  94. 3:20So, when I say domain name, what I mean
  95. 3:22is like when people have websites and
  96. 3:24you have www.cleanbiznetwork.com,
  97. 3:27Clean Biz Network is the domain name.
  98. 3:29So, see if there's a domain name
  99. 3:30available for the name that you pick.
  100. 3:33So, if you click Pro Clean as your
  101. 3:34company name, then make sure that
  102. 3:36www.proclean.com
  103. 3:38is available. And if it's not, then
  104. 3:40maybe you can do proclean.co or
  105. 3:42proclean.net or something. But just make
  106. 3:45sure there is some type of domain
  107. 3:47variation available. Maybe you can do
  108. 3:48proclean uh VA, like if you live in
  109. 3:51Virginia, procleanva.com,
  110. 3:54right? But, make sure that there's a
  111. 3:55domain name available when you search
  112. 3:56for your name, all right? And then also,
  113. 3:58you can just search for different
  114. 4:00companies in your areas to see if
  115. 4:01there's any companies in your area with
  116. 4:03similar names that you don't want to get
  117. 4:05mixed up with your brand. If there If
  118. 4:07there are similar companies in your area
  119. 4:09that have a name similar to yours, that
  120. 4:10don't necessarily stop you from picking
  121. 4:12that name, as long as that name is
  122. 4:14legally available uh through your state.
  123. 4:17But, you just for branding purposes is
  124. 4:19why I'm saying you might want to still
  125. 4:20just make sure that there's not similar
  126. 4:21companies with your name, because if
  127. 4:23they develop a bad record, they could
  128. 4:24help they could hurt you with getting uh
  129. 4:27customers under your name, as well, all
  130. 4:28right? Step three, get legal. Now, in
  131. 4:31the past, cuz I do these how to start a
  132. 4:32cleaning business videos every single
  133. 4:34year, for the most part I try to,
  134. 4:36anyway. And so, typically I will say go
  135. 4:39get your LLC after you pick your name,
  136. 4:41go ahead and get your LLC. This year is
  137. 4:43going to be different because there's a
  138. 4:44new law out, all right? And so, if you
  139. 4:46start an LLC, you are going to be
  140. 4:49required, starting in 2024, January 1st,
  141. 4:512024, to register with this thing called
  142. 4:54FinCEN, all right? FinCEN, that's f i n
  143. 4:58c e n, all right? dot gov. And so, this
  144. 5:01is a new thing, and if you don't do this
  145. 5:03as a LLC, you will be fined. I believe
  146. 5:05it's a penalty of $500 per day for every
  147. 5:08day that you don't register with FinCEN,
  148. 5:10all right? So, you might not necessarily
  149. 5:13want to jump into a LLC in the
  150. 5:14beginning. Instead, what you can do as
  151. 5:16an alternative is be a sole proprietor
  152. 5:19and register as a fictitious with a
  153. 5:21fictitious name filing. And so, when you
  154. 5:23have a fictitious name, you'll get
  155. 5:25what's called a DBA. DBA stands for
  156. 5:27doing business as, all right? Now,
  157. 5:30here's the difference. If you get a LLC
  158. 5:32called Clean Pro LLC,
  159. 5:34the LLC stands for a limited liability
  160. 5:37company, all right? So, if you're a
  161. 5:38limited lia- limited liability company,
  162. 5:41then you're protecting and separating
  163. 5:43your assets, your personal assets. So,
  164. 5:45if you own a home, or you own a a
  165. 5:48vehicle, and cash, or anything that you
  166. 5:50might own, boats, etc., then those
  167. 5:53things will be separate from the
  168. 5:54companies in that LLC, the limited
  169. 5:57liability company. So, the limited
  170. 5:58liability means that if you get sued,
  171. 6:00then your liability is limited to the
  172. 6:02company, all right? Now, on the other
  173. 6:04hand, if you get a fictitious name and
  174. 6:06get the DBA,
  175. 6:07now you're sole proprietor. So, that
  176. 6:09means that everything that you own and
  177. 6:11the company own is one in the same, all
  178. 6:13right? Now, if you know you don't own
  179. 6:15anything, you're renting an apartment,
  180. 6:16you're making a car note or your car,
  181. 6:18you have a car that you own, but it's
  182. 6:19not worth that much, go ahead and do the
  183. 6:21DBA route and just get you some
  184. 6:23liability insurance and you'll be fine,
  185. 6:25and you can get the LLC later. That
  186. 6:27route is typically a little bit less
  187. 6:28expensive anyway, so you can go that
  188. 6:31route, or you can go to LLC route, but
  189. 6:33whatever route you go, just make sure
  190. 6:35that you go, all right? Take some
  191. 6:36action. So, that's the first part of
  192. 6:38getting legal. The second part of
  193. 6:39getting legal would be to get your EIN
  194. 6:42number, all right? Your employer
  195. 6:43identification number. It's also called
  196. 6:46it could be called a tax ID number,
  197. 6:48that's the same thing as a EIN number.
  198. 6:49It might also be called a FEIN number,
  199. 6:52which is a federal employee employer
  200. 6:54identification number, but they're all
  201. 6:55the same, all right? Tax ID, EIN, and
  202. 6:58FEIN, they're all the same thing, all
  203. 7:00right? So, get your EIN number, it is
  204. 7:02free to get. All you do is go to
  205. 7:03irs.gov, and then you will see right on
  206. 7:06their home page, if you click on uh EIN
  207. 7:09number, all right? After that, the other
  208. 7:11part of getting legal is open up your
  209. 7:13business bank account. Typically, with
  210. 7:15most banks, all you would need to do to
  211. 7:17get a business bank account is show them
  212. 7:19your uh LLC filing, or your fictitious
  213. 7:22name filing, and your EIN number, your
  214. 7:25tax ID number, all right? With those two
  215. 7:26things, you typically can get your uh
  216. 7:28business bank account open, all right?
  217. 7:30But, if you have to have an operating
  218. 7:32agreement, don't worry. If you still
  219. 7:33want to go with a bank like Navy Federal
  220. 7:35that requires you to have an operating
  221. 7:36agreement with your LLC in order to open
  222. 7:38the account, there are plenty of
  223. 7:40operating agreement examples all over
  224. 7:42the internet. If you just go on Google
  225. 7:43and type in uh LLC operating agreement
  226. 7:46agreement template, then that'll
  227. 7:48typically pop right up and you can just
  228. 7:50copy that and make it your own, all
  229. 7:51right? And then the final part of
  230. 7:53getting legal would be to get your
  231. 7:55business license. Now,
  232. 7:57I said get the business bank account
  233. 7:59before you get your business license
  234. 8:00because you want to get that business
  235. 8:01bank account as soon as possible because
  236. 8:04when you get a business bank account,
  237. 8:05then you will have a checking account
  238. 8:07which is attached to a business debit
  239. 8:10card, right? Once you get that business
  240. 8:11debit card, you want to start pay for
  241. 8:13every single thing going forward with
  242. 8:15your business debit card, right? Because
  243. 8:17you want to track it for tax purposes.
  244. 8:18So, you can get your business license
  245. 8:20with your business debit card, all
  246. 8:21right? And if we could have gotten the
  247. 8:23LLC or the fictitious name filing with
  248. 8:26the business debit card, we would have
  249. 8:27done that too, but you can't get the
  250. 8:29business debit card until you have, you
  251. 8:31know, the LLC and the EIN and all of
  252. 8:33that. So, the moment that we can get the
  253. 8:36business account open and get that
  254. 8:37business debit card, we want to. So,
  255. 8:39that's why we get that before the
  256. 8:40business license. Now, once you're at
  257. 8:42this point and you have the business
  258. 8:43debit card, go ahead and get your
  259. 8:44business license only if you are
  260. 8:46required to have a business license in
  261. 8:48your city or county, all right? You have
  262. 8:50to check with your local city or county
  263. 8:53government to see if you're required to
  264. 8:55have a business license for commercial
  265. 8:57cleaning or residential cleaning. And it
  266. 8:58could be different. So, sometimes they
  267. 9:00might require it for commercial cleaning
  268. 9:02but not for residential cleaning. So,
  269. 9:04make sure you check with your local
  270. 9:05government and find out. And again,
  271. 9:07you're an entrepreneur now. Do not let
  272. 9:09these small things just because you got
  273. 9:10to go down to city hall stop you, all
  274. 9:13right? It's not that hard. You go down
  275. 9:15there and you open your mouth. Don't let
  276. 9:16stupid stuff like this scare you away
  277. 9:17cuz I know a lot of people here just
  278. 9:19this alone and be like, "Nope, too
  279. 9:20complicated. I'm out." All right? Don't
  280. 9:22do that, all right? And now that I think
  281. 9:24about it, there will be one more thing
  282. 9:25that we're going to add to getting
  283. 9:26legal, which is register with your local
  284. 9:30tax commission to charge sales tax.
  285. 9:33Again, this is another thing that's not
  286. 9:34required in every single locality. So,
  287. 9:37make sure you check with your local tax
  288. 9:39office to see if you're required to
  289. 9:41charge sales tax in your area or not.
  290. 9:44All right? Now, step four, get an
  291. 9:46insurance quote. Now, I say get an
  292. 9:49insurance quote because you don't
  293. 9:50necessarily want to sign up and pay
  294. 9:52monthly payments on insurance yet if
  295. 9:54you're not actually bringing in income
  296. 9:55and revenue yet from your company yet,
  297. 9:57right? So, just go ahead and go online
  298. 9:59and get an insurance quote. If you click
  299. 10:00the in the description of my video, I
  300. 10:03have a link to the insurance company
  301. 10:05that I recommend is called Next. And you
  302. 10:07can sign up through me. I am an
  303. 10:08affiliate for Next, but I highly
  304. 10:10recommend them. They're reputable
  305. 10:11insurance company. And if you go through
  306. 10:13the link in my description, I can get a
  307. 10:15little something something and that'll
  308. 10:16be a way for paying me back for giving
  309. 10:18you this free game. This really could be
  310. 10:19a whole course, right? But I'm giving it
  311. 10:21to you for free, so the least you can do
  312. 10:22is if you get insurance, get it through
  313. 10:24my link in the description of my video
  314. 10:26and I thank you kindly for that. Now,
  315. 10:28what type of insurance do you need?
  316. 10:29Well, you're just going to need general
  317. 10:31liability coverage. You want to get a
  318. 10:32million-dollar policy. So, what I like
  319. 10:34to do is get a million-dollar policy
  320. 10:35with 2 million in aggregate. What the 2
  321. 10:38million in aggregate means is that is
  322. 10:40the absolute maximum that you can get
  323. 10:42per year, right? So, the $1 policy, it
  324. 10:45means that you can get it'll cover up to
  325. 10:471 million per incident and then 2
  326. 10:50million in aggregate means that it'll
  327. 10:51cover up to 2 million total for that
  328. 10:53year, all right? So, get your
  329. 10:55million-dollar liability policy and then
  330. 10:58in addition to that, the other coverages
  331. 10:59that could that you may get later on
  332. 11:01could be a bond coverage, right? So, you
  333. 11:04can get maybe a a $20,000 or $50,000
  334. 11:06bond. But bond, you only need that if
  335. 11:09once you get ready to hire, okay? So,
  336. 11:11don't worry about bond coverage until
  337. 11:13you get ready to hire cuz bond basically
  338. 11:15just covers
  339. 11:16theft, which you're not going to steal,
  340. 11:18right? You're a business owner. You're
  341. 11:19not looking to steal and so sabotage
  342. 11:21your own company. But employees may. So,
  343. 11:23at that point you may consider getting
  344. 11:25bonded, all right? The other type of
  345. 11:27insurance will be workers' comp
  346. 11:29insurance. Now, are you required to get
  347. 11:30workers' comp insurance? It depends on
  348. 11:32where you live. Typically, in most
  349. 11:34locations, you don't have to get workers
  350. 11:36comp coverage until you reach a certain
  351. 11:38amount employees, right? I think the
  352. 11:40number is usually like three or or more
  353. 11:42employees, you have to get workers comp.
  354. 11:44But again, just check with your local
  355. 11:45state and see what the actual
  356. 11:47requirements are for the workers comp
  357. 11:49coverage. And some customers, if you
  358. 11:51don't commercial cleaning, some people
  359. 11:53will require you to have workers comp
  360. 11:55before they'll hire you for the job. I
  361. 11:57know this comes up a lot with
  362. 11:58post-construction cleaning, as well as
  363. 12:00with some apartment move-out cleaning.
  364. 12:02So, if they require it for you to move
  365. 12:04forward with that job, I think it's just
  366. 12:05up to you to make the the sound decision
  367. 12:07on deciding is the cost of the workers
  368. 12:10comp worth you getting in order to get
  369. 12:13this contract. Are you Are they paying
  370. 12:14you enough for it to make sense for you
  371. 12:16to go get that coverage? If they're not,
  372. 12:17then you can hold off on that as well.
  373. 12:19But the main coverage that you
  374. 12:20absolutely will need is general
  375. 12:22liability coverage. It'll run you
  376. 12:23probably like 30 to 100 bucks per month.
  377. 12:25Step five, get an accounting software.
  378. 12:28All right. Now, we want to get an
  379. 12:29accounting software because we want to
  380. 12:31be able to track all of our income and
  381. 12:33all of our expenses, so that way when
  382. 12:35tax time comes, you're not looking crazy
  383. 12:38out here and you got everything under
  384. 12:39control. You got everything lined up in
  385. 12:41your accounting software, and you could
  386. 12:43just ship it over to your tax people and
  387. 12:44let them do your taxes nice and easy at
  388. 12:46the end of the year, all right? Now, the
  389. 12:48tax softwares that I recommend would
  390. 12:50either be QuickBooks or waveapps.com.
  391. 12:55Now, I recommend waveapps in particular
  392. 12:57because it's free to use, it's very
  393. 12:59simple, and I also have a tutorial on
  394. 13:02how to use waveapps.com right here on my
  395. 13:04YouTube channel, so make sure you search
  396. 13:06that up as well if you need that
  397. 13:07tutorial. But definitely get you a an
  398. 13:09accounting software. QuickBooks does
  399. 13:11cost monthly, so QuickBooks is the more
  400. 13:14popular one, but waveapps is free, and
  401. 13:16you definitely want to keep your monthly
  402. 13:17expenses as low as possible when you're
  403. 13:19starting off in the beginning with your
  404. 13:21brand new company. Step six, order your
  405. 13:24supplies, all right? You're you're to
  406. 13:25need cleaning supplies, all right? Even
  407. 13:27if you plan on I know a lot of you guys
  408. 13:29you're you're hip to the game now and
  409. 13:30you want to create a system out of your
  410. 13:32company. You don't want to do the
  411. 13:33cleaning. Well, guess what? You're going
  412. 13:35to have to do some cleaning getting
  413. 13:36started off whether you like it or not.
  414. 13:38All right, if people call out, you they
  415. 13:40can't make it, you got to get in there
  416. 13:41and go do it. Now, once you're big
  417. 13:43enough where you can afford to miss that
  418. 13:44money, then you won't have to do it. You
  419. 13:46can just do a makeup clean or you can
  420. 13:47get them a credit on their invoice. But
  421. 13:49in the beginning, typically you're going
  422. 13:51to have to get out there and go do those
  423. 13:53cleanings in order to make up if
  424. 13:54somebody else calls out. All right, so
  425. 13:56go ahead and get you some cleaning
  426. 13:57supplies. All right, now if you don't
  427. 13:59know where to get what to get in your
  428. 14:01cleaning supplies, I recommend that you
  429. 14:02go to
  430. 14:02www.cleaningbusinessstarterkit.com.
  431. 14:07There's a whole example of every single
  432. 14:09thing that you would need as far as
  433. 14:11cleaning supplies for a commercial
  434. 14:12cleaning company. All right, so make
  435. 14:14sure you go check that out and either
  436. 14:15you can order a starter kit directly
  437. 14:17from that site or you can just copy
  438. 14:19everything that's on that site and get
  439. 14:20it from somewhere else if you can find
  440. 14:21somewhere else to get the individual
  441. 14:23items for a cheaper price. All right,
  442. 14:25step seven would be to get your
  443. 14:26marketing materials. All right, what are
  444. 14:28marketing materials? Well, step one you
  445. 14:30want to get a logo shirt. All right, so
  446. 14:32something with your company logo on it,
  447. 14:34typically a polo, and something that you
  448. 14:36can just go to your walk-throughs with,
  449. 14:37something that you can meet customers
  450. 14:39with, uh you know, just something that
  451. 14:40has your company logo that you look
  452. 14:42professional with. You will wear with
  453. 14:43some khakis. All right, so get you your
  454. 14:44logo shirt, order some business cards, a
  455. 14:47brochure for your business, and some
  456. 14:49flyers. Those are the main things that I
  457. 14:50like to have when I'm going door-to-door
  458. 14:52or when I'm going to meet a customer to
  459. 14:54offer my services. All right, so that is
  460. 14:56step seven, marketing materials. Step
  461. 14:59eight, set up your online presence. Now,
  462. 15:01what is the online presence? A website,
  463. 15:04your social media. So, typically the
  464. 15:06main social medias that I would set up
  465. 15:07for my company would be LinkedIn,
  466. 15:09Instagram, Facebook. And then finally,
  467. 15:12you want to set up a Google business
  468. 15:14profile. Now, do you have to have an
  469. 15:16online presence? Do you have to get
  470. 15:17these things to get started with a
  471. 15:19cleaning company? No, but if you want to
  472. 15:21get started with a six-figure plus
  473. 15:23cleaning company like I'm telling you
  474. 15:24how to do, then you definitely want to
  475. 15:25have these things, right? Because if you
  476. 15:27go to meet with a potential client,
  477. 15:29guess what they're going to do when you
  478. 15:30leave? They're going to Google you,
  479. 15:31right? They're going to search you, and
  480. 15:32so if you have social media available,
  481. 15:35if you have a Google business profile
  482. 15:36available, if you have an actual website
  483. 15:38available that looks professional, guess
  484. 15:40what? They're going to trust you that
  485. 15:42much more, and that will increase your
  486. 15:43chances of closing a deal on the
  487. 15:45contract. So, make sure you set up an
  488. 15:47online presence. Now, fun fact, we do
  489. 15:50have memberships at Clean Biz Network,
  490. 15:52and with our memberships, we offer you
  491. 15:54the ability to build your own website
  492. 15:56right through our platform, so that way
  493. 15:57you don't have to go out and pay for
  494. 15:59another third party just to host a
  495. 16:00website every month, right? You get that
  496. 16:02automatically included in your Clean Biz
  497. 16:04Network membership, so you can check
  498. 16:06that out by visiting our website at
  499. 16:08www.cleanbiznetwork.app
  500. 16:11and see what how we can help you with
  501. 16:12that. Step nine, you're going to need
  502. 16:14some warm leads. What are warm leads?
  503. 16:16Warm leads are basically opportunities
  504. 16:18to get customers, all right? So, if you
  505. 16:20want to get new customers, guess what
  506. 16:22you have to do? You have to get a chance
  507. 16:23to meet them and offer them a quote for
  508. 16:26cleaning services, right? Well, you're
  509. 16:28going to need warm leads. So, a couple
  510. 16:29different ways to get leads, but the
  511. 16:31number one way that I recommend to get
  512. 16:32leads would be to go to
  513. 16:34www.cleanbiznetwork.app
  514. 16:36and use our lead generation service. And
  515. 16:39so, what happens is we provide leads for
  516. 16:41commercial cleaning. We do not provide
  517. 16:43leads for residential cleaning yet, but
  518. 16:45if you go to our website, and if you
  519. 16:46want commercial leads, all you have to
  520. 16:48do is tell us where you're located, and
  521. 16:50we will cold call businesses in your
  522. 16:52area specifically for your company to
  523. 16:55meet with their company, come meet with
  524. 16:57them, walk through the facility, we call
  525. 16:58them walk-throughs, right? So, a
  526. 17:00walk-through appointment, but you just
  527. 17:01go meet with them, do a walk-through
  528. 17:02with them, and then once you're done
  529. 17:04with the walk-through, you can go home
  530. 17:06and send them a proposal, and that's
  531. 17:08that. So, if you want some leads,
  532. 17:09definitely check out our website again
  533. 17:11at 10, you need a bidding calculator and
  534. 17:13a proposal template. Now, at Clean Biz
  535. 17:16Network for our template. Now, at
  536. 17:18CleanBiz Network for our members, we
  537. 17:20offer bidding calculators and proposal
  538. 17:22templates. The bidding calculator is so
  539. 17:24that you can know how much to charge
  540. 17:26your customers, right? Cuz you probably
  541. 17:27won't know how to do it. So, what we do
  542. 17:29is we show you how to perform the
  543. 17:30walk-through that you meet with those
  544. 17:32those warm leads. We show you how to
  545. 17:33perform the walk-through. Then, when you
  546. 17:35come home, you just plug those numbers
  547. 17:37cuz you're going to take measurements
  548. 17:38and I'll show you how to do that in
  549. 17:40CleanBiz Network. And I'll also show you
  550. 17:42how to do it on this YouTube channel if
  551. 17:44you search AJ Simmons walk-through.
  552. 17:46There's typically going to be a
  553. 17:47walk-through video showing you how to
  554. 17:49perform a walk-through and take
  555. 17:50measurements, right? So, all you're
  556. 17:52going to do is take those measurements,
  557. 17:53plug them into our bidding calculator,
  558. 17:55and the calculator would tell you how
  559. 17:56much you should charge your customers
  560. 17:58for a job, all right? So, you definitely
  561. 18:00want a bidding calculator for that
  562. 18:01because if you're brand new, you don't
  563. 18:03know how to come up with the price,
  564. 18:04right? The other thing that you're going
  565. 18:05to need is a proposal template because
  566. 18:07you're going to submit a lot of
  567. 18:09proposals to different potential
  568. 18:10customers, right? And so, if you could
  569. 18:12just have a template there available,
  570. 18:14especially a digital one like we have at
  571. 18:16CleanBiz Network, you can email it
  572. 18:18proposal right over to the customer, and
  573. 18:20then they can just sign, you sign, and
  574. 18:22y'all pick a start date, and you move
  575. 18:23forward, all right? So, definitely get
  576. 18:25you some type of software that offers
  577. 18:27bidding calculators and proposal
  578. 18:29templates. And the one that I recommend
  579. 18:31is obviously CleanBiz Network, all
  580. 18:33right? Step 11. And so, once you come up
  581. 18:35with the price for how much you want to
  582. 18:36bid on the particular cleaning job, you
  583. 18:39submit the proposal, they sign, you sign
  584. 18:42the agreement, and by the way, the
  585. 18:43proposal that we have, it has an service
  586. 18:45agreement template right included with
  587. 18:47it. And so, once you both sign the
  588. 18:48service agreement, you pick a start
  589. 18:51date, and you begin to clean, and now
  590. 18:53you're in business. And so, those are
  591. 18:54the steps right there, straight up
  592. 18:56straight up and down on how to start a
  593. 18:57cleaning business, step by step by step.
  594. 19:00I would just add that once you finish
  595. 19:02and complete this whole process and you
  596. 19:03begin cleaning, I would do an inspection
  597. 19:06the following day to go and check with
  598. 19:08your new customer and see how they felt
  599. 19:09about your cleaning services, right?
  600. 19:11Because typically, you're going to learn
  601. 19:12on the job. If you don't have any
  602. 19:14cleaning experience prior, then make
  603. 19:15sure you go back and check with your new
  604. 19:17customer. If you sub this job out to
  605. 19:19another cleaning company that already
  606. 19:21knows how to clean, still go back and
  607. 19:23inspect and make sure that they did the
  608. 19:24right thing that you told them to do,
  609. 19:26right? So go and inspect behind these
  610. 19:27people, meet with your customers, learn
  611. 19:29from them, see how you can improve, and
  612. 19:31then just get out here and go find more
  613. 19:32customers, y'all. So now you know
  614. 19:34exactly the steps on what to do. Now all
  615. 19:36you have to do is take action. The
  616. 19:38cleaning industry is a 90 billion plus
  617. 19:40industry, y'all. So there's plenty of
  618. 19:42money out here just waiting for you to
  619. 19:43get some of it. So what are you waiting
  620. 19:45for? Take action. And if you want help
  621. 19:47from me and my company, just visit

  623. 19:51can help you move forward. And if you
  624. 19:52just want to use these steps and try to
  625. 19:54do it on your own, go for
  626. 19:58it. I'm rooting for you. These steps
  627. 20:00were given to you here for free. And
  628. 20:02leave a comment and let me know if this
  629. 20:03helped you out or anything. You know
  630. 20:04what I mean? Make sure you hit that
  631. 20:05subscribe button, hit the like button,

  633. 20:09away free game over here. And who else
  634. 20:11would you want to learn from about the
  635. 20:12cleaning business other than the
  636. 20:14cleaning business goat? I'm AJ Simmons,
  637. 20:16founder of the Clean Biz Network. Talk
  638. 20:19to y'all soon. Are you looking to start
  639. 20:20your Thank you.
