How to Reach Any Audience Without Targeting Them — Transcript

2. 0:01a mentorship program focusing on the
3. 0:03development of vocal skills, stage
4. 0:05presence, and leadership. Since social
5. 0:08media prohibits targeting religious
6. 0:09demographics of any kind, how would you
7. 0:11go about running ads to reach my target
8. 0:13audience?
9. 0:14>> Uh dude, don't even worry about that.
10. 0:15Like, the messaging will take care of
11. 0:17all that.
12. 0:18Like, I think select like, it won't let
13. 0:21you select for something, but I'll just
14. 0:24like, let me just be abundantly real
15. 0:26here. If you have a chick in the ad,
16. 0:28you'll get more chicks. If you've got a
17. 0:29black dude in the ads, you'll get more
18. 0:31black dudes. If you got old guy, you'll
19. 0:32get more old guys. If you If you talk
20. 0:34about Christian stuff with the cross
21. 0:35behind, you'll get more Christian
22. 0:36people. So, just make sure that your
23. 0:39message
24. 0:40matches the prospect that you're trying
25. 0:42to reach. And ideally, some of the other
26. 0:44things you have. So, background,
27. 0:46imagery, uh props that you use, what
28. 0:48you're wearing.
29. 0:50Uh if you do If you run your ad, by the
30. 0:51way, like let me just tell you how I do
31. 0:53it.
32. 0:54If I were you, I would have a camera,
33. 0:56and I would be on stage at my
34. 0:58congregation, and I'd be like, "Hey
35. 0:59guys, I need 30 seconds of y'all's
36. 1:01attention, and if you want to help me
37. 1:02like spread this, you know, ministry uh
38. 1:04of helping, you know, young people find
39. 1:06their voice, uh I'm going to make an ad.
40. 1:08Hopefully, you know, don't make fun of
41. 1:09me." And then you say, "Hey, my name's"
42. 1:12Oh, sorry. What was his name? I'm sorry.
43. 1:13Now I'm messing up.

45. 1:17>> All right. My name's X, right? My name's
46. 1:19X, and I'm here, and you show the state
47. 1:21community, like, "Woo!" It's like, "But
48. 1:23you know what? It wasn't always like
49. 1:24this. I had to practice for hours and
50. 1:26hours and hours to get really good. And
51. 1:28the nice thing is is I now train the
52. 1:29other people at our church. And so,
53. 1:30learning how to communicate has been
54. 1:32something that's changed my life. It can
55. 1:33change yours. And the good news is, it
56. 1:34doesn't take as long as you think. And
57. 1:36so, I just put this lead magnet together
58. 1:38of six things that you can do just right
59. 1:40before you get on stage, so that you can
60. 1:41be more likely to succeed. And if you
61. 1:43want me to help you personalize this
62. 1:44stuff, give you feedback, and do that,
63. 1:46you should join my school community. I
64. 1:47hold calls every week, and I'll help you
65. 1:48review your videos, so that you get
66. 1:50better, faster, and you can have the
67. 1:52life of your dreams. Right. That That's
