- 0:00The law of attraction is
- 0:02>> So the law of attraction is
- 0:04>> Mhm.
- 0:04>> Do you think you can manifest anything
- 0:07[music] within 24 hours?
- 0:08>> You can manifest anything you want in
- 0:10under 1 minute. When you take that
- 0:13attitude, my life is awesome [music]
- 0:15as it is, I don't give a damn,
- 0:18boom, it stops coming towards [music]
- 0:20you.
- 0:20>> I'm here with Vishen Lakhiani, one of
- 0:22the most influential people in mindset
- 0:24and personal growth, the owner of
- 0:27Mindvalley, which is the biggest
- 0:29platform in the world for personal
- 0:31growth. And we're going to walk through
- 0:34how to practically manifest anything you
- 0:38want in your life, because we hear about
- 0:40this buzzword.
- 0:40>> A lot of people confuse manifesting with
- 0:44wanting.
- 0:45And this is the big mistake. Manifesting
- 0:47is actually the opposite of wanting.
- 0:50See, the universe doesn't give you what
- 0:53you want. The universe is busy with
- 0:54other things. It's the universe, right?
- 0:56Doesn't give a damn what you want.
- 0:59However, the universe will reflect back
- 1:01to you who you are.
- 1:04So manifesting isn't wanting.
- 1:06Manifesting is the act of becoming,
- 1:08becoming who you want to become faster,
- 1:12more predictably, in the right way, with
- 1:14the right values, with the right
- 1:15identity, with the right vision. It's a
- 1:18process of becoming.
- 1:20Now, the secret is this.
- 1:23If you can learn how to go from want,
- 1:27which is a form of neediness, to
- 1:29becoming, the universe will reflect back
- 1:33to you.
- 1:34And
- 1:35the universe will not give you what you
- 1:37want, but it will reflect back to you
- 1:39who you are. This is the secret.
- 1:42Manifesting,
- 1:44at its essence, is a form of stepping
- 1:46into a new identity that causes reality
- 1:49to shift to match that identity in you.
- 1:52>> Right. And so does that mean could you
- 1:54accidentally manifest the wrong things
- 1:57in your life.
- 1:58>> Totally. Absolutely. You can do either.
- 2:01If your identity goes in the opposite
- 2:03direction, you manifest the wrong
- 2:04things. The universe will reflect back
- 2:05to you who you are. So, let me give you
- 2:08an example, okay?
- 2:09One of the most interesting books on
- 2:10manifesting is a book called Reality
- 2:13Transurfing
- 2:15by Vadim Zeland. Now, it's a really
- 2:17ridiculously thick book and it's written
- 2:19by this guy from Russia. I can't I don't
- 2:20know what year it was written, but it's
- 2:22huge. Now, Vadim does write in a
- 2:26long-winded way. I've never been able to
- 2:29finish the book.
- 2:30>> [laughter]
- 2:30>> But, the grand summary, the most
- 2:32important point of the book is this. So,
- 2:33Vadim Zeland was a nuclear physicist and
- 2:36he's now a recluse. No one really knows
- 2:38like where he is or how to track him
- 2:39down, but he was studying nuclear
- 2:40physics and he
- 2:42came to believe in the theory of
- 2:44multiple universes. Now, today we know
- 2:46[clears throat] this is more than
- 2:47theories.
- 2:48We know that there are multiple
- 2:49universes out there. There's a universe
- 2:51out there, Kiara, where you might be a
- 2:55not just a well-known podcaster and a
- 2:57social media star. There's a universe
- 2:58out there where you might be a
- 2:59billionaire. There's a universe out
- 3:00there where you might be a bodybuilder.
- 3:01There's a universe out there, right,
- 3:03where you may where you may be a cat
- 3:05lady at home with 29 cats and a universe
- 3:09where you have 28 cats.
- 3:11>> Yeah.
- 3:11>> There's an infinite number of universes
- 3:13out there. Now, science believes this.
- 3:16So, let's look at quantum computing.
- 3:17Quantum computing is about to change the
- 3:19world. It's computing that moves
- 3:21lightning fast and the head of Google's
- 3:23quantum computing lab said the only way
- 3:25to explain quantum computing
- 3:28is that the calculations are happening
- 3:29in multiple universes at once.
- 3:32>> Wow.
- 3:33>> So, we are now actually using
- 3:35multiple universes in practical life.
- 3:39>> So, it's backed by science, manifesting.
- 3:41>> science, right? Well, multiple universes
- 3:43is backed by science. So, what Vadim
- 3:46came to believe is that we have access
- 3:48to ident versions of ourselves in
- 3:50multiple universes. You want to be with
- 3:52the dream guy? There's that version of
- 3:54you in a different universe. But there's
- 3:56also a version of you that is a
- 3:58billionaire. There's a version of you
- 4:00that is in the most amazing body you can
- 4:01imagine.
- 4:02>> Yeah.
- 4:03>> The question is, how do you step into
- 4:05that universe? That's the trick.
- 4:07>> Right. And how could we cuz you know,
- 4:09sometimes it takes people a really long
- 4:13time to manifest things that they want.
- 4:14And they they get frustrated and they're
- 4:16thinking, you know, I'm trying to do all
- 4:18the manifesting, I'm trying to do this,
- 4:20I'm trying to do that. Why is it not
- 4:21working for me? What is stopping someone
- 4:24from really getting the results that
- 4:26they want when they are manifesting?
- 4:29>> Okay. So, Vadim said this.
- 4:33You can step into any universe. You can
- 4:35decide right now that you want to step
- 4:37into a universe which is a fork from
- 4:39this reality that will take you in the
- 4:41direction you want. What is it? So, if
- 4:43you had to think about one thing you
- 4:44really wanted right now, what would that
- 4:46be for you?
- 4:46>> Okay. So, for whoever's listening right
- 4:49now, you want your dream partner. You
- 4:52want your dream boyfriend.
- 4:54The person that you want to have
- 4:55children with. How can you get that and
- 4:57fast?
- 4:58>> want to move into a universe where you
- 5:00have met the ideal person for you, the
- 5:02person you want to have kids with. Okay?
- 5:03So, that's the one thing. Okay, now this
- 5:05is what Vadim said.
- 5:07The danger is this.
- 5:11The way to slide into that new universe.
- 5:13So, he says he calls it sliding. The way
- 5:15you slide into that new new universe is
- 5:18by not giving a damn.
- 5:21>> Right.
- 5:21>> Now, I know this sounds weird.
- 5:23>> It sounds almost the opposite.
- 5:24>> of wanting, right? So, he says every
- 5:27time you have a desire,
- 5:29what happens is you create an energy
- 5:30force. And that energy force for that
- 5:33desire
- 5:34creates an opposing energy force that
- 5:37pushes against it.
- 5:39>> Fair.
- 5:39>> Yeah. So, desire creates wanting. And
- 5:43because of the way the universe works,
- 5:45every time you want something, it is a
- 5:47statement that you do not have it.
- 5:49>> Right.
- 5:50>> You see because in the universe in
- 5:51metaphysics,
- 5:53there is no such thing as time.
- 5:55So, manifesting is not about the future.
- 5:58It's about right now. So, as soon So,
- 6:00everything that you want to manifest,
- 6:01you got to think right now. Okay, this
- 6:03is the secret. Now, it's not
- 6:05so simple. I'm going to I'm going to get
- 6:06there, but as soon as you say, "I want
- 6:08that man." It means you do not have that
- 6:09man. So, right now you create an
- 6:11opposing force.
- 6:12>> Yes.
- 6:12>> So, Vadim says this,
- 6:14"Trust. What you got to do is you got to
- 6:17do the I don't give a damn method." And
- 6:20the I don't give a damn method means
- 6:21something like this. You kind of play
- 6:23hard to get with the universe. You don't
- 6:26want to be needy. You're thinking, you
- 6:27know,
- 6:28"I'm really awesome right now. I'm an
- 6:30I'm amazing.
- 6:31I may want to meet my partner, may want
- 6:34to have kids, but my life is so awesome.
- 6:36I don't really give a damn. If it comes
- 6:38now, it comes later. Don't give a damn."
- 6:41When you take that attitude, "My life is
- 6:44awesome as it is. I don't give a damn."
- 6:47Boom! It stops coming towards you. Think
- 6:50about dating. If you're needy, "I need
- 6:52to see him again. I need him to text
- 6:53me." If you're needy, you push the
- 6:55person back. If you're like, "Oh, you're
- 6:57not going to text me for 5 days? That's
- 6:58cool. You know, I'm busy."
- 7:01He starts wanting you. And now I want to
- 7:02bring in a couple of other teachings
- 7:04from other philosophers because
- 7:06it sounds so counterintuitive.
- 7:08>> Yeah.
- 7:09>> But it's actually not. And spiritual
- 7:11masters have been talking about this
- 7:13idea for for thousands of years.
- 7:16So, let's go back to Rumi.
- 7:18Rumi was an Afghan refugee. You love
- 7:21Rumi, right? Amazing. He's the most read
- 7:24poet in America.
- 7:26So, Rumi wrote a poem that goes like
- 7:28this.
- 7:29"When I chase after what I think I want,
- 7:33my life is a furnace of distress and
- 7:36anxiety.
- 7:37But if I sit in my own place of
- 7:39patience, what I need comes to me
- 7:43without any pain.
- 7:44From this I understand that what I seek
- 7:48seeks me, too.
- 7:50There's a great secret in this for
- 7:52anyone who would care to listen.
- 7:55>> Wow.
- 7:56>> Okay, so what's Rumi saying? When I
- 7:58chase after what I think I want, my life
- 8:02is a furnace of distress and anxiety.
- 8:04When you chase after the goal that you
- 8:06think you want, and notice he he used
- 8:08the words I think I want, right? Because
- 8:12very often what we want is what we think
- 8:16is what we think is best for us. The
- 8:17universe knows wiser. This is called in
- 8:20the the philosophy of So, there's a
- 8:21great writer who writes about
- 8:23manifesting, Michael Bernard Beckwith.
- 8:24He calls this immature wanting.
- 8:27You are convinced you know what's good
- 8:29for you, but no, the universe actually
- 8:31knows better. So, this is what Rumi is
- 8:32alluding to this. But, he goes on to
- 8:34say, "When I sit in my own place of
- 8:35patience, right?" Patience means
- 8:39I don't cling to it. I don't need it.
- 8:42I know it's coming.
- 8:44>> Yeah. That's
- 8:44>> That's confidence, right? That's the I
- 8:46don't give a damn method. When I sit in
- 8:48that place of patience, what I need
- 8:51comes to me without any pain.
- 8:53What he's saying is what you need, the
- 8:56universe will deliver to you. Not the
- 8:58guy
- 8:59that you think you want. Maybe you think
- 9:02I really need a guy who's got to be, you
- 9:03know,
- 9:045'9", got to have a a pet miniature
- 9:07poodle cuz I love miniature poodles.
- 9:08[laughter] He's got to be in finance.
- 9:11But, what if that's just your own BS?
- 9:13What if the person you're meant to
- 9:15conceive children with, to like to like
- 9:17create a new life with, is 5'6"
- 9:20>> Mhm.
- 9:20>> and works in software engineering, and
- 9:24is actually a cat lover.
- 9:25>> Yeah.
- 9:26>> So, what Rumi is saying is when you sit
- 9:28in your place of patience,
- 9:30what you need comes to you without any
- 9:33pain. But, there's a third part. From
- 9:36this I understand that what you seek is
- 9:39seeking you, too.
- 9:41There's a great secret in this for all
- 9:43who would want to understand.
- 9:45What you seek is seeking you, too, means
- 9:46that
- 9:47when you sit in your place of patience
- 9:49and you trust, and you stop clinging and
- 9:52wanting, and you trust,
- 9:55you understand that the universe
- 9:57actually has your back. The universe
- 9:59wants what is right for you. It just may
- 10:02be that the universe knows better. The
- 10:03universe knows the timing is correct.
- 10:05There's something you're meant to do,
- 10:06and a relationship might distract you
- 10:08from that. There's a new identity you're
- 10:10meant to step into. There's something
- 10:12you're meant to build. There's something
- 10:13you're meant to learn. You got to trust
- 10:15that timing.
- 10:16>> So, for the people that take a long time
- 10:20to manifest, that the biggest mistake
- 10:22they're making is by giving desperate
- 10:24energy.
- 10:25>> Desperate energy.
- 10:26>> energy is going to stop you manifesting
- 10:28what you want in your life.
- 10:30>> Yes. Mhm.
- 10:31>> Okay.
- 10:32But what about dating with intention?
- 10:35Would you say that's desperate energy?
- 10:37>> So, dating with intention is absolutely
- 10:40not desperate energy as long as you're
- 10:43in that state of trust.
- 10:45>> Mhm.
- 10:46>> Right? So, what this means is you go out
- 10:48on a date with someone you like. They
- 10:50don't call you back.
- 10:51You can shift into desperate energy. But
- 10:53now, as soon as you do that, you've now
- 10:56created resistance in the universe
- 10:57towards meeting more people because
- 10:59you're clinging, you're wanting. The
- 11:01universe hates that.
- 11:02But if you're able to sit in patience
- 11:04and trust,
- 11:06and trust cuz you know you're worth it.
- 11:08You know what's right for you is coming
- 11:09to you.
- 11:10Now, what happens is you start
- 11:13attracting other dates, other
- 11:16opportunities.
- 11:17>> God will give you something better.
- 11:19>> Exactly.
- 11:20So,
- 11:21what's happening
- 11:23is that manifesting is an act of
- 11:25fine-tuning your inner state. It's about
- 11:28identity. It's not about clinginess.
- 11:31Every time you go on a date, you're
- 11:33actually building part of your identity.
- 11:36You're understanding what you like, what
- 11:37what attracts you. You're understanding
- 11:39also what repulses you.
- 11:41You're understanding how you deal with
- 11:43rejection. You're understanding how you
- 11:44deal with someone who maybe makes you
- 11:46makes you nervous. How you deal with
- 11:48someone who irritates you.
- 11:50Those understandings start building up a
- 11:53a picture, an identity. And eventually
- 11:56that identity becomes so powerful, so
- 11:59real, you attract the right person to
- 12:01match that identity. Cuz imagine this,
- 12:03right, Kiara?
- 12:04Imagine
- 12:05you're 27, 28 years old.
- 12:08And
- 12:09you know, when I was 27 or 28 years old,
- 12:11I did not know I was still like I
- 12:13was an absolute immature
- 12:16dumbass.
- 12:18Okay? Now, imagine you're at that age
- 12:20and you attract a person who's a fit for
- 12:22you. You're going to attract an immature
- 12:24dumbass.
- 12:25>> Right, so you attract what you are.
- 12:26>> what you are. But if you give it time
- 12:28and you focus on improving yourself, you
- 12:30focus on growth, you focus on reading,
- 12:31you focus on becoming the woman you're
- 12:33meant to be. You focus on your own
- 12:34goals, your own ambitions, your own
- 12:36health.
- 12:37You start raising your energy. You're
- 12:39shifting your identity. You're You're
- 12:41leveling up.
- 12:42And as you level up, you cannot help but
- 12:44attract
- 12:46partners that are at that same level of
- 12:48leveling up.
- 12:49>> So, would you say
- 12:51that that is the law of attraction or
- 12:54the law of resonance? What's the
- 12:55difference?
- 12:55>> law So, yeah, you you hit on it. The law
- 12:58of attraction is BS.
- 13:01So, the guy You know, the guy one of the
- 13:02people who coined the word the law of
- 13:03attraction, Reverend Michael Bernard, he
- 13:05was in The Secret 20 years ago.
- 13:07>> Yeah.
- 13:07>> So, Michael was in The Secret 1999. In
- 13:102019, 20 years after The Secret, I was
- 13:13organizing a festival in Portugal. He
- 13:14was one of the speakers and I had a
- 13:16chance to have breakfast with him. So, I
- 13:17asked him, "Michael, it's been 20 years
- 13:20since The Secret when everyone was
- 13:22talking about the law of attraction."
- 13:23>> Yeah, the law of attraction's huge.
- 13:24>> Given what you've learned in two
- 13:25decades,
- 13:27would you change anything? And he goes,
- 13:29"Yeah.
- 13:29What I want people to know is that the
- 13:32law of attraction is bunk."
- 13:34>> So, the law of attraction is
- 13:36>> Mhm.
- 13:37What people really need to understand is
- 13:40that the universe doesn't care what you
- 13:41want. Rather, the universe reflects back
- 13:44to you who you are. And he goes on to
- 13:46say, "I call this the law of resonance."
- 13:48>> And so, the law of resonance is
- 13:50basically if you want to attract your
- 13:52dream partner, you have to become
- 13:55>> the dream person.
- 13:56>> partner.
- 13:57>> Exactly. You have to become your dream
- 14:00partner.
- 14:01>> So, if we're to go into manifesting, for
- 14:02example, this is a manifesting workshop
- 14:04on how to manifest your dream partner,
- 14:06how to manifest your dream career, you
- 14:08talk a lot about the crystal method.
- 14:10>> Mhm.
- 14:11>> C R Y S T A L
- 14:13>> Right.
- 14:13>> and that being the practical kind of
- 14:17steps on how to manifest whatever you
- 14:19want with your 20 years of experiencing
- 14:21of manifesting.
- 14:22>> Right.
- 14:22>> Could you walk us through those steps
- 14:24and how to, for example, let's take the
- 14:27example of dating. I want to manifest my
- 14:29dream partner.
- 14:30>> Mhm.
- 14:31>> I'm going to use the crystal method. Can
- 14:32you walk us through the practical steps
- 14:34that this person listening or watching
- 14:35can take?
- 14:36>> Absolutely. Now, the first one, C, means
- 14:38clarity.
- 14:40You got to be clear
- 14:41>> Yeah.
- 14:42>> on who you are
- 14:45and what you want.
- 14:46Right?
- 14:46>> So, they can write down a list of
- 14:48>> Yeah. Yeah. So, so remember, being clear
- 14:50on what you want is different from
- 14:52wanting. You can be clear on what you
- 14:54want and know that it's coming to you.
- 14:55That's what Rumi said.
- 14:56>> Right.
- 14:57>> be clear on what you want and be like
- 14:58needy, "Oh, I got to get it now. I got
- 15:00to get it now. I got to get it now."
- 15:01That's like being that irritating child
- 15:02in the backseat of the car going, "Are
- 15:04we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we
- 15:05there yet?" Now, imagine that the
- 15:07universe is driving. He's going to like
- 15:08turn around and smack you and go, "Knock
- 15:10it off."
- 15:10>> Yeah. Not now.
- 15:12>> don't do it. Don't be the irritating kid
- 15:13in the backseat of the universe's car.
- 15:15>> Yes.
- 15:16>> You got to get clear on what you want.
- 15:17So, so this is the craziest way
- 15:19I I heard someone do it. So, I have a
- 15:21friend um haven't seen her in a while,
- 15:23but she was a growth hacker in Silicon
- 15:26Valley. So, she helped apps get millions
- 15:29of downloads. So, she had a very
- 15:30mathematical way of thinking. Now, what
- 15:32happened to my friend is that uh she got
- 15:34married young, then she got divorced
- 15:36early before her 30s, and she wanted to
- 15:38meet
- 15:39um a new partner.
- 15:41So, she put the same process of growth
- 15:44hacking apps into meeting men. And she
- 15:47set a goal for herself. She was going to
- 15:49go on three dates a week
- 15:52for 10 weeks.
- 15:54Even if she was tired, even if she was
- 15:56busy, she was going to commit three
- 15:58dates a week for 10 weeks. So, I asked
- 16:01her
- 16:03what happened? And she said, "Okay, so
- 16:05firstly, it was painful," she said. "I
- 16:07met a lot of men,
- 16:09and after about 90 minutes, I wanted to
- 16:11get out of there. I met a lot of people
- 16:13I liked, but something didn't work out.
- 16:15I learned a ton about myself. I learned
- 16:17a ton about dating. I learned a ton
- 16:18about my preferences. But at the end of
- 16:20the 10 weeks,
- 16:21I learned so much. I was clear. I knew
- 16:25what I liked. I knew what I did not
- 16:27like. I knew myself. I knew my triggers.
- 16:31I knew what I did that was sexy. I knew
- 16:33what I did that maybe might turn someone
- 16:35off.
- 16:37After I got that clarity,
- 16:39guess what happened?" And I said,
- 16:41"You're now dating one of those 30 men?"
- 16:44She goes, "No. None of those 30 men I'm
- 16:46dating. But after I finished that
- 16:4710-week exercise, within 2 weeks, I met
- 16:50someone,
- 16:51and we've now been married for 10
- 16:53years."
- 16:53>> Wow. So, those 30 dates, an
- 16:56experimenting, and I guess putting
- 16:58herself out there,
- 16:59>> and co-
- 17:00>> gave her the clarity.
- 17:01>> Exactly.
- 17:03>> Without being needy.
- 17:05>> Exactly.
- 17:06>> Okay.
- 17:06>> Because when when she goes on those 30
- 17:07dates, what's going on? She's going,
- 17:09"Well, men are abundant. Dating is is
- 17:11easy." Look, the worst thing that
- 17:13happens is
- 17:15you waste 90 minutes, you know?
- 17:18On a on on a date, but that's okay.
- 17:20You're you're meeting someone someone
- 17:22new. Um you're connecting with another
- 17:24human being, and human connection is so
- 17:26important. Even if it's just friendship,
- 17:28even if it's two strangers on a bus
- 17:29talking. When you take that attitude,
- 17:31dating isn't frightening, it isn't
- 17:33painful, it isn't what um a a um a waste
- 17:35of money, but it gave her that clarity.
- 17:37That's the first C. Get clear, and the
- 17:40only way to get clear
- 17:43is
- 17:44to
- 17:45experiment.
- 17:46To to figure out what truly lights you
- 17:49up, but also truly what turns you off.
- 17:51>> Mhm.
- 17:52>> So, R in crystal stands for resilience.
- 17:57So, let me tell you why resilience is
- 17:59important.
- 18:00>> Okay.
- 18:00>> If you want to grow, if you want to
- 18:03become a better person, if you want to
- 18:06to improve yourself,
- 18:08there are two ways that happens. One is
- 18:10through insight. Maybe you attend a
- 18:12conference, you study a book, you you
- 18:14gain an insight.
- 18:16But, that's not what happens to most
- 18:17people.
- 18:17>> Okay.
- 18:18>> Do you know how most people really grow
- 18:19and evolve?
- 18:20>> Pain, suffering.
- 18:21>> Exactly, right? So, so pain and
- 18:25suffering. Now, in in but it doesn't
- 18:27have to be that way. So, in Zen
- 18:29philosophy, there are two concepts of
- 18:31growth. There is satori, growth through
- 18:33insight, and there's kensho, growth
- 18:34through pain, right? Turns out most
- 18:36people, because they are not deliberate
- 18:38about their growth, when the universe
- 18:40wants them to level up, the universe has
- 18:41to smack them at the back of their head.
- 18:43>> Yeah, that's what I thought.
- 18:44>> a kensho moment. It It right It happens.
- 18:46You You fall into the wrong
- 18:47relationship, this person cheats on you.
- 18:50You uh end up in hospital cuz you
- 18:52weren't taking care of your health. Your
- 18:53first business fails. But, the beauty of
- 18:56kensho is that every kensho gives you an
- 18:59insight that makes you better.
- 19:01Person who cheats on you, you now start
- 19:03to understand how to truly gauge the
- 19:05quality of a human being. The health
- 19:07issue that puts you in hospital, you now
- 19:09start to take care of your health. The
- 19:10business failure, you learn what not to
- 19:12do. So, Kencho is growth disguised as
- 19:16pain because you weren't listening.
- 19:18Now, people who go in a personal growth
- 19:20cycle,
- 19:21they actually give the universe space to
- 19:23help them grow without pain. This is why
- 19:25meditation, study, online courses,
- 19:28conferences,
- 19:30the That's why this is important. It's
- 19:32satori. You're giving space for growth
- 19:34to happen without pain. So, the more you
- 19:36invest in self-growth, the less pain you
- 19:39experience cuz the universe doesn't have
- 19:41to smack you at the back of your head.
- 19:42>> Right.
- 19:43>> She knows you're listening. So, the
- 19:45universe just has to whisper. And that's
- 19:47the insight you get in a daydream.
- 19:49That's the aha moment you get from
- 19:51reading the right book. So, you want to
- 19:53grow through satori, but
- 19:56to go through life,
- 19:58to to to become the person you want to
- 19:59be,
- 20:00there will be moments of pain. And this
- 20:02is why resilience is important. Every
- 20:04time something painful happens,
- 20:06you got to let yourself know, "Wow,
- 20:09there's a light at the end of the
- 20:10tunnel."
- 20:11>> Yeah.
- 20:11>> And eventually you'll get to a point
- 20:12where you're saying, "Wow, okay, this
- 20:14really sucked, but I can't wait to see
- 20:17whom I'm going to become because of
- 20:18this."
- 20:18>> Yeah, my my therapist once told me I
- 20:20went through the worst breakup of my my
- 20:22entire life, and I remember her telling
- 20:24me,
- 20:25"This is your greatest gift." She said
- 20:27it's a very badly wrapped gift, but it's
- 20:30your greatest gift, and I'm so excited
- 20:33for the person that you're going to
- 20:34become after this experience. And I
- 20:36looked at her like she was crazy. I was
- 20:39like,
- 20:40"What do you mean this is a gift? This
- 20:42is the worst thing that's happening to
- 20:43me in my whole life." But it was the
- 20:45greatest thing that ever happened to me.
- 20:47It led me to Mindvalley.
- 20:49>> It's why Rumi said, "The crack is the
- 20:53path through which the light enters."
- 20:56>> Right.
- 20:58So, you need those bad times in order to
- 21:01grow, in order to get what you actually
- 21:04want and desire, which is manifestation.
- 21:06>> Exactly.
- 21:08Every crack helps you grow.
- 21:10That is resilience. That's the R in
- 21:12crystal.
- 21:13So, Y stands for your inner voice.
- 21:16>> Okay.
- 21:17>> So, a lot of people get obsessed with
- 21:18manifesting.
- 21:19But a lot of people forget that there's
- 21:21another part of the the the spiritual
- 21:23game that is so important. And that is
- 21:26intuition. And women especially have
- 21:29this so deeply.
- 21:30>> Yeah.
- 21:31>> Intuition lets you know
- 21:33what directions you should take in life.
- 21:35And it's real. It's it's dramatically
- 21:37real.
- 21:38>> What does it look like?
- 21:39>> So, let me give you an example. Have you
- 21:40ever been in a one of those longevity
- 21:42centers where they put you in a
- 21:44sensory deprivation chamber, like a
- 21:46flotation tank? You are floating on
- 21:48salt. Your body is completely relaxed.
- 21:51And they play deep meditation music.
- 21:53>> water chamber where you lie in water.
- 21:55>> Same thing. Same thing. Okay, so the
- 21:56University of Edinburgh did this crazy
- 21:59study. It's called the Ganzfeld test
- 22:01experiments. So, they put people They
- 22:03took two groups of people. And they put
- 22:04one group in a flotation tank. And
- 22:06again, there was the peaceful music. And
- 22:08the idea was to put these people in a
- 22:09deep state of relaxation. Relaxation and
- 22:12meditation, same thing. Slowing down of
- 22:15the brain waves, right?
- 22:16>> Okay.
- 22:16>> Now, in the other room, they had someone
- 22:18called a sender. The people in the
- 22:19flotation tank were receivers. They were
- 22:21in like a dream-like meditative state.
- 22:24The other room was a sender. Now, the
- 22:26sender was shown what was shown
- 22:29one of four pictures.
- 22:31So, the pictures could be, you know,
- 22:32horses rush rushing through a stream. It
- 22:34could be a a tank. It could be a zebra.
- 22:38And the goal was the sender had to
- 22:40transmit the picture. Let's say the
- 22:41picture of the zebra. Just pretend they
- 22:43could send the picture to the receiver.
- 22:45Now, the receiver is brought out of the
- 22:47tank, is shown four pictures, and they
- 22:50have to guess what did the sender see.
- 22:53Now,
- 22:54their odds of getting it correctly
- 22:55through chance is what?
- 22:57>> 20%.
- 22:58>> 25%, right?
- 22:59>> Yeah.
- 23:00>> One in four, 25%.
- 23:01>> 25%.
- 23:02>> What University of Edinburgh found is
- 23:04that they actually scored correct 1 in
- 23:073, 33%.
- 23:10So, this defies Now, they did this with
- 23:12hundreds of people. This defies all the
- 23:14laws of science.
- 23:15>> Yeah.
- 23:15>> It shows beyond a doubt that there is
- 23:18some form of communication that moves
- 23:21that that links us.
- 23:22>> Mhm, like telepathy.
- 23:24>> Yeah.
- 23:24>> Or intuition.
- 23:26>> Yeah, it it's it's it's it's intuition.
- 23:28We all have this. But, the way to really
- 23:31step into it is to be relaxed like
- 23:34you're in that sensory deprivation
- 23:35chamber. That's why so many people who
- 23:38meditate or who who help themselves or
- 23:41know or even you can get relaxed through
- 23:43four ways. You can do meditation, you
- 23:45can do neuro training, you know, those
- 23:46devices you wear in your head. You can
- 23:48do plant medicine, um things like
- 23:50mushrooms are amazing to put you in that
- 23:52state, and then finally there's
- 23:53breathwork. And when you do any of these
- 23:55four practices and you go into that
- 23:57relaxed state, that's when your
- 23:58intuition starts speaking to you.
- 24:01>> Okay.
- 24:01>> And the more you do that, the more it
- 24:02starts speaking to you in the waking
- 24:05state.
- 24:06>> Right.
- 24:06>> Now, when you develop intuition, this is
- 24:09your inner voice. This is the knowing
- 24:12that knows you better than anyone else.
- 24:14This is the voice you have to awaken,
- 24:16and this voice will guide you towards
- 24:20who you're meant to be.
- 24:21>> And how do you know if that voice is
- 24:23either ego or if it's intuition?
- 24:26>> So, it's it's really simple, right?
- 24:28>> Like your thoughts and your emotions.
- 24:29>> Yeah.
- 24:29>> Or thoughts.
- 24:30>> So, you got to be able to discern. Did
- 24:33my desire come from outside me, or did
- 24:36it come from inside me? So, here's a
- 24:39story I like to tell that talks about
- 24:40speed of action. There's a man who
- 24:42really wants to win the lottery. Every
- 24:43morning when he wakes up, he prays to
- 24:45God, "God, help me win the lottery."
- 24:47Then, before lunch, he prays to God
- 24:48again, "God, help me win the lottery."
- 24:50Then, before going to bed, he prays to
- 24:51God again, "God, help me win the
- 24:52lottery." And he does this every day,
- 24:54and a year passes. Then, 5 years passes.
- 24:57Then, 10 years pass, then 20 years pass,
- 24:59then 30 years pass, and he gets hit by a
- 25:00bus.
- 25:01And he ends up in heaven, dead. And
- 25:03there he meets God, and he goes, "God,
- 25:05what the heck, dude? Like, I prayed for
- 25:08you 30 [laughter] years, three times a
- 25:09day.
- 25:11Help me win the lottery.
- 25:12Nothing."
- 25:13>> Yeah.
- 25:14>> And God goes,
- 25:16"Ch."
- 25:17"You could have at least bought a
- 25:18ticket."
- 25:19>> Yes,
- 25:21exactly.
- 25:22>> So, so that friend I mentioned, who went
- 25:25on 30 dates in 10 weeks,
- 25:28that's speed of action.
- 25:30>> Exactly.
- 25:30>> She took action. And what happened after
- 25:32those 30 dates?
- 25:34Not only did she gain clarity, but
- 25:35within 2 weeks, the universe said,
- 25:38"Okay, you mean business. You're taking
- 25:40action.
- 25:41Boom. Here's the man you're going to
- 25:43marry for at least the next 10 years."
- 25:45>> For at least the next 10 years.
- 25:46>> Yeah, cuz they've been [laughter]
- 25:47they've been together for 10 years.
- 25:48Hopefully for the next couple of
- 25:49decades, but
- 25:51there's a great secret in this for
- 25:52anyone who cares to listen. That is
- 25:54trust.
- 25:56Trust basically summarizes everything
- 25:57we've been talking about right now.
- 25:59You're trusting your intuition. You're
- 26:02trusting timing, especially timing.
- 26:05You're trusting the universe.
- 26:08You see, there are two types of desires,
- 26:09according to the Reverend Michael
- 26:10Beckwith. Immature wanting and mature
- 26:13wanting. Immature wanting, as I
- 26:15mentioned, is the stuff that you think
- 26:16you want, but no, it's it's just outside
- 26:18programming. It's like, I must have a
- 26:20guy who loves dogs, okay?
- 26:24>> The checklist.
- 26:25>> Yeah, yeah, it's the checklist.
- 26:28Mature wanting is wanting that comes
- 26:30from the soul.
- 26:31>> Mhm.
- 26:32>> You kind of sense There's There's a
- 26:34direction. You kind of sense that you
- 26:35need to be in a city. You kind of sense
- 26:38that you need to be in a particular
- 26:39field. It's coming from the soul, and it
- 26:42may not be apparent.
- 26:44>> Mhm.
- 26:44>> Sometimes the universe has to destroy a
- 26:46part of your life that is merely good
- 26:49for something truly great to enter.
- 26:52>> Absolutely.
- 26:53>> I got fired from Microsoft. It was
- 26:55merely not good for something truly
- 26:58great, owning an
- 27:00an amazing festival company.
- 27:01>> Yes.
- 27:02>> To enter. What is that for you?
- 27:05I I once interviewed this incredible MBA
- 27:07professor called Srikumar Rao, and he's
- 27:09kind of a legend in the MBA world. And
- 27:11why he's a legend, why so many people
- 27:13love his classes, is he brings in wisdom
- 27:15from the East into modern MBA classes.
- 27:17And when I was interviewing him, I asked
- 27:18him, what is the most important belief
- 27:22that people should have to be
- 27:23successful? And he said, "Ah, that's
- 27:25very easy.
- 27:26It is the belief of the benevolent
- 27:27universe. It is the belief that the
- 27:30universe is acting in your favor. The
- 27:32universe loves you. The universe cares
- 27:34about you. The universe has your back.
- 27:36It is the benevolent universe. And even
- 27:38when things go wrong,
- 27:40the universe is watching out for you."
- 27:42>> Yes.
- 27:42>> And then he dropped this metaphor. He
- 27:44says, "Imagine you're a child. Okay,
- 27:45you're 2 years old,
- 27:47and it's breakfast time.
- 27:48And your mom says,
- 27:50'Here are some veggies.
- 27:52I want you to eat the veggies.' And you
- 27:53go, 'No, I want chocolate ice cream.
- 27:55I don't like broccoli. I want chocolate
- 27:57ice cream.' And your mom goes, 'No, no
- 27:59chocolate ice cream. You have to eat the
- 28:01broccoli.'
- 28:02And the child is upset, and the child is
- 28:04crying, and the child in their childlike
- 28:06mind is going, 'Mom hates me. Like
- 28:09I hate mornings. Why do I have to eat
- 28:11broccoli? Why can't I have the chocolate
- 28:13ice cream?' But think about that. The
- 28:14mom is the wiser, loving force. The mom
- 28:17is benevolent. Well, the universe is
- 28:19like that.
- 28:19>> Exactly.
- 28:20>> Sometimes you want chocolate ice cream,
- 28:21but the universe is saying, "Hey Kiara,
- 28:23you got to eat your veggies right now."
- 28:24>> Mhm.
- 28:25>> So, trust that the universe knows, and
- 28:29that the universe is benevolent. And
- 28:31what you think is a veggie
- 28:34is actually something that's going to
- 28:35make you healthy, so you can eat
- 28:37chocolate ice cream anytime you want
- 28:39without putting on the pounds.
- 28:40>> Exactly. [laughter]
- 28:41So, now we have the last two, A and L.
- 28:44>> Right. So, A is alignment. That's very
- 28:47important. It means live by your values.
- 28:49Know that some of the stuff that you
- 28:52believe about the world could be
- 28:54could be holding you back. It's It's
- 28:55being aware of your really.
- 28:58All of us have trauma. We have bad
- 29:00beliefs. We have things that happened in
- 29:02the past that poked us, that shaped us,
- 29:04that created, you know,
- 29:06um
- 29:07um some sort of like trauma.
- 29:09>> Yeah.
- 29:09>> And you're constantly being
- 29:11moving towards alignment. You're going
- 29:14for yoga classes. You are working with
- 29:17counselors. You're working with
- 29:18therapists. No one is perfect.
- 29:20>> Mhm.
- 29:20>> But you are aligning your your mind,
- 29:23your body, your soul. You're working on
- 29:25removing everything between you and the
- 29:28person you want to be. Constantly
- 29:29working on yourself. That is alignment.
- 29:32When you are aligned, the universe will
- 29:35start aligning reality with your
- 29:38internal alignment.
- 29:39>> Yes, which we've also been taught and
- 29:42mentioned.
- 29:43>> Right.
- 29:43>> Love is light. Love is pure. Love is
- 29:45unconditional.
- 29:47Love is actually not outside. It's
- 29:49within you.
- 29:50>> Yeah.
- 29:50>> That's also what we've been taught, that
- 29:52love is outside you and when you find
- 29:54that love, then everything's going to be
- 29:56so much better. But really, if you want
- 29:58to find the love of your life, you have
- 30:00to become the love of your life.
- 30:02>> Exactly.
- 30:03>> You have to be the love of your life.
- 30:05You have to understand that I am the
- 30:07love of my life. I complete myself. No
- 30:09one completes me. Who outside me
- 30:11completes me? I am whole, worthy, and
- 30:14loved just as I am.
- 30:16And what I feel like
- 30:17for the person whoever's listening to
- 30:19this right now, if you really want to
- 30:21manifest the love of your life or you
- 30:23really want that job, you must believe
- 30:25in your whole heart that you don't need
- 30:27it because you are whole already.
- 30:29>> Yeah.
- 30:30>> That's it.
- 30:32You must align with that feeling of I am
- 30:35the highest vibration of love. I am all
- 30:39the things that I want my partner to be.
- 30:42And that will just
- 30:44quickly come into your life because it's
- 30:46like, "Oh, this is a line now."
- 30:48>> And if you have a crack, that's okay,
- 30:50too.
- 30:50>> Yeah.
- 30:51>> Rumi said, "The crack is the
- 30:53slit through which the light enters."
- 30:55>> Yeah.
- 30:55>> Great. Light has entered through that
- 30:57crack. You've learned something because
- 30:58of that crack. Now, all you do is just
- 31:00patch the crack. No big deal.
- 31:02>> Realign.
- 31:03>> Always life is all about just
- 31:04realigning. Oh, okay. Yeah, let's
- 31:06realign. Back we go.
- 31:08Um and then L.
- 31:10>> L is my favorite.
- 31:12L stands for love the journey.
- 31:14>> I was going to say love. Yeah.
- 31:17Yeah, love.
- 31:17>> So
- 31:18So, love the journey looks like this.
- 31:20The greatest manifestos in the world,
- 31:22okay? It's not about the destination.
- 31:25It's about the road trip.
- 31:26>> Yes.
- 31:27>> So, L is where you're enjoying the
- 31:30journey, not just waiting for the
- 31:32destination. Because if you're
- 31:34constantly chasing
- 31:36a goal,
- 31:37goals are like
- 31:38chasing the horizon. You can
- 31:40[clears throat] run towards the horizon,
- 31:41you're never going to catch the horizon.
- 31:42It's always slightly out of reach.
- 31:44That's why so many people fall into the
- 31:45money trap. They hit a million, they
- 31:47want 10 million, they want 100 million,
- 31:49they want a billion, they want 10
- 31:50billion. Never stops.
- 31:52It's about enjoying the journey. So,
- 31:54many people say that, "I want to meet
- 31:56the one. I want to meet that one
- 31:57person."
- 31:58>> Yeah.
- 31:59>> But so many people who are with the one
- 32:01person
- 32:02are thinking, like right now, so many
- 32:04people who are in committed
- 32:06relationships with the one person are
- 32:07thinking, "Gosh, I miss the sense of
- 32:09adventure. I miss the variety. I miss
- 32:12the crazy parties I could go to. I miss
- 32:14the random hookups."
- 32:15>> Yes.
- 32:16>> No matter what side we're on, we miss
- 32:18the other side.
- 32:19>> Yes.
- 32:19>> So, the most important thing is enjoy
- 32:21the journey. If you're
- 32:23having to date multiple people to find
- 32:25the one, enjoy that journey. If you're
- 32:28with the one, enjoy the journey. The
- 32:30most important thing is whatever path
- 32:33you're on, whatever side of the ideal
- 32:35relationship, enjoy the journey. but as
- 32:38you enjoy the journey, ensure that you
- 32:41are creating greater clarity of what you
- 32:43want to be. Ensure that you are
- 32:47displaying resilience when things goes
- 32:49off, that you truly know yourself and
- 32:53are listening to that voice within, that
- 32:55you are taking action. S, speed of
- 32:59action, that you trust that you are in
- 33:02alignment, that you love the journey.
- 33:05>> Yeah.
- 33:05>> You're going through that that crystal
- 33:06framework. So, that's the most important
- 33:08thing. Because I can tell you
- 33:10so many people who are in relationships
- 33:12miss the life they had before the
- 33:14relationship. And people who are not in
- 33:17a relationship miss the life that they
- 33:19think they will have after being in a
- 33:21relationship.
- 33:22>> the grass is greener.
- 33:23>> Always make it about the journey. You
- 33:27can never go wrong.
- 33:28>> And that is all of those things put
- 33:31together, I think.
- 33:33As you said, loving the journey being
- 33:35the most important one of those because
- 33:37when you when you are manifesting and
- 33:39when you are working towards you're
- 33:41walking towards the things that you
- 33:43desire, whether that's your dream job,
- 33:45if you've always wanted to have a
- 33:46podcast, if you've always wanted to have
- 33:48a YouTube channel. If you're not
- 33:49enjoying filming it, if you're not
- 33:51enjoying editing it, if you're not
- 33:53enjoying the process of sitting down
- 33:55with these people, sitting down in front
- 33:57of the camera and actually making the
- 33:58content,
- 33:59I assure you you're not going to get
- 34:02those millions of followers cuz people
- 34:03are going to be able to see if you
- 34:04actually enjoying the thing that you're
- 34:06doing.
- 34:07>> I hope you have amazing day, whatever
- 34:09you're doing right now, and I hope that
- 34:11you achieve everything that you desire
- 34:14in life and and more. Cuz you can always
- 34:17have more.
- 34:18>> Amazing.
- 34:19>> Thank you.
- 34:20>> Thank you, Kiara.
