0:00Recently, I began a series called bum to
0:02billionaire, where I take a brand new
0:03account created in 2026, and I use it to
0:06hit $1 billion in GTA V online before
0:09November 19th, which is when GTA 6 is
0:12currently slated to launch. But, have
0:13you ever thought about making a billion
0:15dollars in GTA V story mode? Because,
0:17you see, online has all these different
0:19heists and businesses and activities,
0:21but what the heck can you even do in
0:23story mode to make that much cash, other
0:25than a few one-time exclusive missions
0:27and a few [music] odd jobs? I mean, it's
0:29not like story mode is lacking in terms
0:31of things to buy, because we've got
0:32various properties in here that can cost
0:34you upwards of $10 million, and while
0:36the cars are a lot cheaper compared to
0:37online, you still have luxury models
0:39like the Adder and Z-Type that will blow
0:41a hole in your broke-y wallet if you're
0:42not absolutely loaded with cash [music]
0:44first. But, there's no reason to worry,
0:46because in today's video, I'm about to
0:47show you guys the absolute fastest way
0:49to make the maximum amount of money
0:51possible in GTA V story mode, which is
0:53capped at $2.1 billion.
0:55And yes, you heard that right. We're
0:57making $2.1 billion with a big fat B.
1:00And if you follow this speed run guide,
1:02you can easily do it in two to three
1:03days of leisurely playing the game. At
1:05the end, I'll even give you a secret
1:06technique to cut that time down to just
1:08two hours with a money dupe glitch. And
1:10for those folks who don't like to cheat,
1:12don't worry, this is still a video
1:13that's mostly focused on manipulating
1:15the stock markets with Lester's
1:16assassination missions, and that's what
1:18we're going to be doing to make our $2.1
1:19million the clean way. The very first
1:21thing you'll want to do to unlock the
1:23Lester assassination missions is
1:24progress your main story as Franklin
1:26until you arrive at the mission Hood
1:28Safari, where you and your buddies have
1:29to fight through an ambush at Grove
1:31Street after a drug deal goes wrong.
1:32Once you finish this mission, you'll be
1:34able to start the first Lester
1:35assassination, which is the hotel
1:37assassination. But, before you head to
1:39Lester's little L icon on your map, make
1:41sure to invest all your cash into Beta
1:43Pharmaceuticals on the BAWSAQ stock
1:45exchange. Once you've done that, the
1:47actual assassination mission itself is
1:49quite easy. However, to truly profit
1:51from this, you'll need to accumulate a
1:52decent chunk of cash beforehand, so you
1:54can invest the most money possible into
1:56Bilkington's rivals, Beta
1:58Pharmaceuticals. And for that, you're
1:59going to need to run the very first
2:01story mode heist, aka the jewelry store
2:03heist, which is Michael's way of paying
2:04back Martin Madrazo for his broken stilt
2:06house, while also making a decent chunk
2:08of change on the side. Both Michael and
2:10Franklin get paid for this heist, though
2:11the lion's share of the heist payout
2:13goes to Michael, and as a result of
2:14that, he'll benefit the most from our
2:16little Beta Pharmaceutical short that
2:17we're about to do. Still, you're going
2:19to need to set up a few things before
2:20you actually do the jewelry store heist.
2:22For the approach, you obviously want to
2:23do it the smart way with gas tossed into
2:26the ventilation system that will knock
2:27out all the people inside and give you
2:29plenty of time to ransack the place
2:31without any interference from the cops.
2:32As for the driver, you should always go
2:34with Karim Denz because he's good enough
2:36for the job, but takes a way lower cut
2:38than Eddie Toh. For your gunman, you'll
2:40want Patrick, aka Packie McReary from
2:42GTA 4, and you can unlock Packie by
2:44helping him escape from the police in a
2:46random event. It unlocks a very shortly
2:47after the prologue, right around this
2:49part of the map. Lastly, for the hacker,
2:51you'll want Ricky Lukens, who's the
2:52fellow you meet inside the Lifeinvader
2:54office. This combo of Karim, Packie, and
2:57Ricky is cheap but effective, and you're
2:59rewarded with a higher cut at the end.
3:01Once you've received your cash from the
3:02jewelry store robbery, disable auto
3:04saves and make a new save file for
3:05yourself. Then, invest all your cash on
3:07all three characters into Beta
3:09Pharmaceuticals before meeting up with
3:10Lester. Once he gives you the brief,
3:12drive to the hotel, assassinate your
3:14mark with a sniper rifle, and complete
3:15your mission. Then, wait exactly 24
3:18hours for the Beta Pharmaceutical stock
3:20price to go up to their max value, which
3:21is 50% over the purchase price before
3:24the assassination. At this point, you
3:25should dump all your stocks to make the
3:27maximum profit because if you wait any
3:28further, it starts to go back down
3:30again. Then, for phase two, we're going
3:32to reinvest all that money that we just
3:34made from Beta Pharmaceuticals back into
3:36Bilkington Research. We just eliminated
3:38their CEO, so their stock price has
3:40cratered here, making it the perfect
3:41time to buy back in. All you have to do
3:43here is wait exactly three in-game days
3:45after the hotel assassination to buy
3:47Bilkington stock. This is when it's
3:49going to be at its lowest. Then, wait
3:50another 72 in-game hours for it to rise
3:53back up, and it can go as high as 100%
3:55over the purchase price, so you might
3:57easily be able to double your investment
3:59over here with Bilkington. Once again,
4:01make a new save file before you do one
4:02of these big purchases, so in case you
4:04end up losing money or you're not able
4:06to maximize returns as much as you like,
4:08you can always go back to that save file
4:09and retry. And if you want to know the
4:11easiest way to fast-forward time in the
4:12game, it's sleeping as either Franklin
4:14or Trevor. Franklin sleeps gets the game
4:16ahead by 8 hours, and Trevor is a big
4:18sleeper, so he moves it forward whole 12
4:20in-game hours. So, if you want to skip
4:22forward 72 hours like with the
4:24Bilkington sale, you just need to sleep
4:25three times in a row with Trevor, and
4:27you'll hit max returns in a matter of
4:28minutes. Next, we've got a few more
4:30heists that we could do before the big
4:31score, and all of these pay a decent
4:33chunk of cash, so you'll already be a
4:35multi-millionaire before starting the
4:36big score. First, we have the Pleito
4:38score, and for this one, we're going to
4:39buy a whole lot of Vangelico stock with
4:41all three characters right after the eye
4:43in the sky mission. Make sure that you
4:44have selected Packie as your gunman. His
4:46stats should be up compared to last time
4:48since you've already done a few heists
4:49with him. Now, all you have to do is
4:51play through the setups and the finale
4:52for the Pleito score. Then after you've
4:54gunned down everyone with your
4:55juggernaut suits and your mini guns, you
4:57should have gained approximately
4:58$450,000
5:00on each of your three characters,
5:01assuming you didn't drop too much money
5:03during your getaway. After the Pleito
5:04score finale, go into LCN and check your
5:06Vangelico portfolio. It should be up
5:08anywhere from 40 to 50%, so now is a
5:11great time to sell and make a new save
5:12file. Then because Group Sex was the
5:14organization in charge of security for
5:16the Pleito bank, their stock price has
5:18taken a huge hit after the robbery, and
5:20now is a great time to buy a whole bunch
5:21of Group Sex stock. We'll then progress
5:23the story a little bit further, and
5:24after doing the mission Fresh Meat,
5:26we'll sell all our Group Sex stock for a
5:28bit of a profit here, about 11%, and for
5:30the next big heist, we're going to raid
5:31the FIB headquarters. And here, you want
5:34to select the roof approach for the best
5:35results, and for your crew members, you
5:37want the trio of Taliana Martinez, Daryl
5:39Jones, and Ricky Lukens once again for
5:41max profit. By the way, if you want to
5:42make some extra cash up before the
5:44Bureau raid, here's how to do it. Right
5:45after the legal trouble mission where
5:47one of Devin Weston's assistants gets
5:49sucked into a plane engine, invest all
5:51your cash into Fly US. It's going to
5:53rebound after the meltdown mission and
5:55give you a 50% return on investment. Our
5:57last major heist is the Big Score, and
5:59this is the one where you rob the Union
6:00Depository with all three characters.
6:02It's also the best paying heist in the
6:04entire game with a maximum potential
6:06payout of close to $42 million for all
6:08three characters. And to make this kind
6:10of money, you must choose the obvious
6:11approach as you have fewer crew members
6:13and thus fewer people the money with.
6:15Driver one is going to be Taliana
6:17Martinez in the helicopter with Karim
6:19Denz as driver number two. Our first
6:21gunman is going to be Norm Richards, and
6:23our second gunman has to be Daryl Johns
6:25for max profit. You can swap out Norm
6:27Richards with Hugh Welsh, but no matter
6:28which of these two guys you choose as
6:30your first gunman, make sure the second
6:31gunman is always Daryl Johns. And if you
6:33did everything properly here, you should
6:35have gained $41.6 million on each of
6:38your three characters after the Big
6:39Score. At this [music] stage, some
6:41people take out either Michael or Trevor
6:43to gain a slightly bigger cut of the
6:44score, but I don't really like that
6:46personally, so I'll go with the third
6:47option, aka the death wish, which is
6:49ending C, and it's also officially
6:51confirmed as the canonical ending at
6:52this point. But before doing the third
6:54way, make sure that you've invested all
6:56your cash once again into Augury
6:58Insurance, which will give you a 100%
7:00return on that investment, essentially
7:01doubling your cash here. All right, now
7:03that all our prep work is done, it's
7:05time to finally rake in the big bucks
7:07with some market manipulation using
7:09Lester's four remaining assassination
7:10missions. You should have anywhere from
7:1240 to 50 million dollars starter cash on
7:14each of your three characters right now.
7:16And we're going to turn this into $2.1
7:18billion in basically no time. First,
7:20we'll do the Multi-Target Assassination.
7:22But before you begin this mission, make
7:24sure that your in-game clock is set to
7:25Monday. Then invest every last bit of
7:27cash that you have on all three
7:28characters into Debonaire on the LCN
7:31Exchange. Next, play through the
7:32mission, wait exactly two in-game days
7:34for Debonaire to hit its max value, and
7:36sell for up to a 60% return. Then use
7:38all the money you just made to buy a
7:40bunch of Redwood Cigarettes stock on all
7:41three characters, which is at its lowest
7:43point right now. Once you've done that,
7:45wait another two to four in-game days by
7:47sleeping as Trevor, then sell all your
7:49Redwood stock for a maximum return of up
7:50to 300%. This is a massive money maker
7:54right here, so definitely use it after
7:55the Debonaire investment and you'll
7:57easily be over $300 with just this one
8:00sale alone. Our next assassination is
8:02called the Vice assassination and as
8:04usual, make sure you're starting on a
8:05Monday. If it's not Monday, keep
8:07sleeping with Trevor until you land on
8:08the correct day of the week. Then spend
8:10all your capital on iFruit stock, which
8:12is the GTA 5 parody version of Apple.
8:14Once you've successfully completed the
8:16job, sleep once as Michael as your
8:18character. Don't sleep as Trevor here
8:20because the iFruit stock will max out
8:21within six to eight hours of the
8:23assassination and you'll miss out on its
8:24peak because Trevor, remember, sleeps 12
8:27hours at a time. Michael is a safer bet
8:29here because he only sleeps for six
8:30hours. So, pick him to fast forward and
8:32short your iFruit portfolio on all three
8:34characters after waking up for a healthy
8:3625% return. Then immediately invest all
8:38that cash into Fac stocks and wait for
8:4148 hours for these to rise to their max
8:43value, which will give you another 33%
8:45return on your investment. The third
8:47assassination is pretty simple here. You
8:49pretend to be a bus driver, then you use
8:50your disguise to take out a guy called
8:52Isaac Penny, who's got a controlling
8:54interest in Vapid, the in-game version
8:56of Ford Motors. His death is going to
8:57absolutely tank Vapid stocks, so don't
8:59buy anything just yet. Start on a Monday
9:01as per usual and complete the mission.
9:03Then, once Isaac is eliminated, dump all
9:05your money into Vapid and wait exactly
9:0748 in-game hours for the stock to
9:09rebound to its maximum value. You can
9:11sell your Vapid portfolio here to get a
9:13100% return on your investment,
9:15effectively doubling your money once
9:16again and at this point you should be
9:18well over $1 billion. For the fourth and
9:20final assassination, we'll start on
9:22Monday and invest all our money into
9:23Gold Coast stocks on the LCN with all
9:26three protagonists. Then, after
9:27completing the mission and assassinating
9:29our mark at a construction site, we'll
9:31wait one in-game day for Gold Coast to
9:33rebound and sell it for a 45% profit. At
9:36this point, you should have $2.1
9:37billion. But, even if you don't, you can
9:39always buy random stocks that have been
9:41on the decline for at least 5 days and
9:43sell them 1 to 2 days later once they
9:45rebound. The key here is buying stocks
9:47that have been steadily declining from
9:48Monday to Friday. That's how you know
9:50they won't go any lower. The return is
9:52only 5 to 10% here, but over time it
9:54will get you to that $2.1 billion
9:56threshold. And now for that glitch that
9:58I was talking about earlier on in this
9:59video. For this, you just need to
10:00complete the prologue as well as the
10:02first Simeon's mission. Then, visit
10:03Tanya over here for the first tow truck
10:05job. But, instead of walking out and
10:07talking with her, toss a sticky bomb at
10:09the road to spook her. And once she runs
10:11away, keep driving for a few hundred
10:12meters, then turn back around, and you
10:14should see that Tanya icon on your
10:16mini-map once again. Except, when you
10:17return to that spot, she's not there
10:19because we scared her off earlier. Now,
10:21it's very important that when you step
10:22out of the car, Tanya isn't there
10:24because if she's standing at the marker,
10:25you messed up. Next, while standing on
10:27that mission marker, open up director
10:29mode, then back out of it into story
10:31mode, and immediately pull up your
10:32weapon wheel. Select the sticky bomb and
10:34blow yourself up to get the mission
10:35failed screen. Here, you're going to
10:37select retry. And now you're in this
10:39glitch state where the game thinks
10:40you're still in the mission, but you're
10:41also in free roam at the same time, and
10:43you can check out all the mission
10:45markers and activity icons on your map,
10:47even though Tanya's there and you've got
10:48the GPS waypoint for the tow truck. Now,
10:50open up your phone, go into the LCN, and
10:52dump all your cash into any stock of
10:54your choice. It doesn't really matter
10:56which one it is. After that, spook Tanya
10:58by shooting the ground next to her. This
10:59will bring up the mission failed screen
11:01once again. Select retry, and when you
11:03spawn back in, open up your phone, and
11:05you should have all the money that you
11:06spent on stocks back into your bank
11:08account. But, when you open LCN, you'll
11:10discover something unusual here. Those
11:12stocks that you purchased just a minute
11:14ago, well, they're all still there in
11:16your portfolio, even though the cash was
11:18refunded to your bank account. What this
11:20means is that you've literally doubled
11:21your cash. And this is one of the oldest
11:23dupe glitches in the game. The best part
11:25about it is that you can now repeat it
11:26by buying even more stock, failing the
11:28mission, and thus tripling your cash. On
11:30the next attempt, it's going to
11:31quadruple. And each cycle increases your
11:33money until you hit two to three million
11:35dollars, at which point you should quit
11:37the mission instead of retrying. Then,
11:38you simply set up the glitch once again,
11:40and now your starting capital is three
11:42million dollars instead of a few
11:43thousand. So, you're gaining millions
11:45with each try. Once you hit twenty
11:46million dollars, quit out and set up the
11:48glitch once again. You can see where
11:50this is going, right? The gains are now
11:51exponential rather than linear. And once
11:53you hit one hundred million dollars, you
11:55can get to two point one billion in just
11:57a few minutes. No big score, no playing
11:59through the whole story, no stock market
12:00manipulation. You've got all the cash
12:02you need right at the start of your save
12:04file. And so, with that all said, that
12:05concludes today's money speedrun guide
12:07for GTA V story mode. I think anybody
12:09can execute this in a couple of days,
12:10and all you really have to focus on here
12:12is saving at the right moment so you can
12:13retry if something goes wrong. The
12:15missions themselves are super easy, and
12:17you can constantly check your percentage
12:18gains by opening up the stock app on
12:20your phone so you can see in real time
12:22exactly how much profit you're going to
12:24make. And if you want maximum cash at
12:25the start of your career, you can always
12:27use the Tanya dupe glitch. However, it
12:29is limited to just While the stock
12:31market manipulation with Lester
12:32assassinations works for all three
