How To Level FAST in WoW Forever - What You Need To Know & Tips and Tricks — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:01All right, let's talk about leveling up
- 0:03in WoW forever and leveling kind of fast
- 0:06in WoW forever as well. Now, I'm not a
- 0:08speed runner. I will probably level to
- 0:10level 60 kind of fast, but if you
- 0:12compare it to any of the world first
- 0:13runners, I'm probably going to be
- 0:14something like level 45 when they get to
- 0:17level 60. So, I'm not the master of
- 0:19leveling by any means, but let's talk
- 0:21about a couple of things you can do to
- 0:23give yourself an advantage at leveling,
- 0:25plus a couple of new things in WoW
- 0:27forever that you probably want to know
- 0:28about when it comes to leveling fast.
- 0:30The first thing is keeping cooking up to
- 0:33date, so even just purchasing cooking
- 0:34food on the auction house, because now
- 0:36you will get a 5% experience buff from
- 0:39kills whenever you eat crafted food. It
- 0:42doesn't count for every single piece of
- 0:44crafted food, even though it did at some
- 0:46point, but now it's like most of the
- 0:48crafted food will have that 5%
- 0:51experience stuff on it. Um goblin
- 0:54deviled clams do not and boiled clams do
- 0:57not, but for example, roasted boar meat
- 1:00does. So, if you don't care about the
- 1:02actual stat from the buff, like for
- 1:04example, a gooey spider cake gives me
- 1:06five stamina.
- 1:07Meanwhile, the roasted boar meat only
- 1:10gives me one strength. If you don't care
- 1:13about that one stat buff and you only
- 1:15want the five experience the 5%
- 1:17experience, you can just buy chunks of
- 1:19boar meat and you're fine. Just keep
- 1:22this up whenever you're killing stuff. I
- 1:24would argue that maybe it's not worth
- 1:26the downtime inside dungeons. Well, at
- 1:28the moment maybe, at launch probably it
- 1:30might be. Just anytime you're killing
- 1:32stuff, having this food buff, that 5%
- 1:35actually matters quite a lot. And you
- 1:38get it after like 10 seconds of eating
- 1:40by the way, so definitely worth the
- 1:43time.
- 1:45Next up, you have the cozy sleeping bag.
- 1:48This is the sleeping bag quest chain
- 1:50that you can start in either Westfall or
- 1:53the Barrens. I'm going to show you real
- 1:55quick on the map where to go, but there
- 1:57is like a that is wowhead tutorials for
- 2:00this as well. This bag can be min-maxed
- 2:02in a couple of ways and you really want
- 2:04to do the quest chain while you are
- 2:06leveling because honestly, it gives
- 2:08quite a lot of experience. So, as an
- 2:10Alliance person, it starts right here on
- 2:14the map. You go to like the the farm
- 2:16north of Moonbrook and it starts in on
- 2:20this like on the northwestern side of
- 2:22that farming field itself at Alex
- 2:25Farmstead. You start the quest chain
- 2:27there and then you go to the Barrens all
- 2:30the way over here like all the way down
- 2:33roughly around pointing. I think I think
- 2:35it is right around here you go. It's
- 2:37like south in the Barrens towards the
- 2:39south in the Barrens. It's right around
- 2:42the way you go into
- 2:44Dustwallow Marsh, right? So, like
- 2:46roughly around pointing right now. Now,
- 2:48if you're playing Horde, you swap these
- 2:50two around. So, you start in the
- 2:51Barrens, then you go to Westfall. If you
- 2:54play Alliance, you start in the
- 2:56Westfall, then you go to the Barrens.
- 2:58After this, you go to Stonetalon
- 2:59Mountains and you go all the way up
- 3:03where I'm pointing right now in the
- 3:04mountains north of the Horde Stonetalon
- 3:07Rock Retreat City.
- 3:09Just north of that place is a hidden
- 3:12path in the mountain. You go on that
- 3:14path and you do two quests over here and
- 3:17then you go over to Loch Modan
- 3:19eventually all the way up here like all
- 3:21the way up at the waterfall. You are on
- 3:24top of the waterfall. You have then the
- 3:26next part and then finally, Hillsbrad
- 3:29Foothills all the way on the border
- 3:31between the Arathi Highlands and
- 3:33Hillsbrad Foothills, you have the final
- 3:36step and you get your bag.
- 3:39Doing this whole quest chain will give
- 3:41you about half a level worth of
- 3:43experience by the way. So, definitely
- 3:45worth doing, but you really want to
- 3:48weave it into your route. So, you can
- 3:50probably see there is a lot of
- 3:51traveling, and Loch Modan, Westfall,
- 3:54Redridge, and also Redridge, Stonetalon
- 3:57all the way to Arathi. There's a bunch
- 3:59of traveling here, but if you bake it
- 4:01into your regular leveling path, it
- 4:03definitely works. Like as an Alliance,
- 4:04for example, you would do it Westfall
- 4:07while leveling in Westfall. You would do
- 4:09the Barrens part whenever you are going
- 4:11to do Wailing Caverns, for example, you
- 4:13just run a little bit down south, do
- 4:15this quest, and then do Wailing Caverns.
- 4:18After Wailing Caverns, you can then go
- 4:20and do the Stonetalon Mountains part.
- 4:21Then you hearthstone to Stormwind, and
- 4:23at some point you're probably going to
- 4:25go to Wetlands, in which case just fly
- 4:27to Loch Modan before Wetlands, do the
- 4:29Loch Modan Loch Modan part, and then
- 4:31jump down to Wetlands, start questing in
- 4:33Wetlands, and at some point you can go
- 4:35from Wetlands all the way to Hillsbrad,
- 4:38maybe to do Ruins of Lordaeron, or to do
- 4:40the City of Dalaran dungeon, in which
- 4:42case you can then just take a small
- 4:44detour, and do the last part on the
- 4:46border here as well.
- 4:49Now, for the sleeping you have a little
- 4:51bit of tech, because the first time, in
- 4:54order to get the buff from the bag,
- 4:56which is a 3%
- 4:58experience buff well-rested buff for 2
- 5:01hours, the first time you have to sleep
- 5:04for 3 minutes. It is 1 minute per stack,
- 5:08and every stack is 1%. Now, after this,
- 5:11the real tech is that whenever this
- 5:13timer is about to run out, you unroll
- 5:16your bag, and you sleep again before the
- 5:20buff goes out, because in that case,
- 5:23what you have to do is sleep for 1
- 5:25minute to refresh the whole buff,
- 5:28instead of sleeping for three. So, you
- 5:30save yourself 2 minutes every 2 hours by
- 5:33doing this. Now, obviously, that is like
- 5:352 minutes per 2 hours, not that much,
- 5:37but it's like 1 and 1/2% more efficiency
- 5:40on top of everything else you're doing
- 5:42so far.
- 5:44The next thing I would say, when you're
- 5:46leveling, do the dungeons with full of
- 5:48quests. Get yourself an add-on like the
- 5:50dungeon journal showing you which quests
- 5:52are available for the dungeon you are
- 5:54doing and showing you which ones you
- 5:55already have and which ones you have
- 5:57done. So, for the Zul'Keda, for example,
- 5:59if I click on the quest right here, it
- 6:00will show me in green which quests I
- 6:02have currently done. If I go to a
- 6:04dungeon that I haven't done like City of
- 6:06Dalaran, for example, we click on quests
- 6:08and you can see the Alliance quests and
- 6:10the Horde ones. You can click on a quest
- 6:12and it shows you the quest chain as
- 6:15well. It even has a show on the map
- 6:17button to show you where on the map you
- 6:20start these quests. So, you simply click
- 6:22show on map and it shows you where on
- 6:24the map you have to go to pick up those
- 6:26quests. It is a super cool add-on to
- 6:28have and once again, doing the dungeons,
- 6:31the quests are really where the big
- 6:33experience comes from. So, my advice is
- 6:35to pretty much do every single dungeon
- 6:37at least one at a time, but make sure
- 6:39you have all of the quests you can have
- 6:42before doing that dungeon. And this
- 6:45add-on is just really helpful in that
- 6:47area.
- 6:49Now, this next tip is honestly, it
- 6:52sounds so easy, so stupid, but playing
- 6:55on the beta now for over 200 hours, it
- 6:58is honestly the biggest advice that I
- 7:00have. Find yourself some like-minded
- 7:03individuals that want to play the same
- 7:05content the same way do you do and at
- 7:08least like if you want to quest solo and
- 7:11play the game a little bit solo as well,
- 7:13just find people that you can team up
- 7:15with and do a dungeons. So, have a
- 7:17pre-made of five people like one tank,
- 7:20one healer and three DPS or a core group
- 7:23of friends or guildmates that you know
- 7:25you want to play the game a little bit
- 7:27together with and team up every now and
- 7:29then. Just if you're all on Discord and
- 7:32questing solo, but you plan on meeting
- 7:35up once per hour, for example, you can
- 7:37all make the most insane camp of all
- 7:39time. Have a one person in that friend
- 7:42group with the camp tent. You all meet
- 7:44up and the camp tent gives you 5% rested
- 7:47experience to everyone at the camp for
- 7:50sitting for a minute and just
- 7:52And when you skill up cooking and you
- 7:54get access to better camps as well, you
- 7:56can have a more items at these camps and
- 8:00give them more buffs to everyone at the
- 8:02camps. And the more friends you have,
- 8:03the better of a camp you have and the
- 8:05more buffs you go out with after the
- 8:07camp as well. And every two or every
- 8:09three hours you meet up and do a dungeon
- 8:11together. And for dungeons it is so
- 8:13important to just have a group that
- 8:16wants to do the dungeon the way you want
- 8:18it to do. Like I am somebody who's
- 8:20played classic WoW a lot. every single
- 8:23dungeon pretty much. Even for a while or
- 8:25while forever I don't know all of them,
- 8:27but I still have this mindset of I'm
- 8:29trying to be efficient. And if I get
- 8:31into if I get into a party of people
- 8:34that don't want to be efficient, it's a
- 8:36clash of mindset and a clash of play
- 8:38style. And somebody will get pissed off.
- 8:41Maybe I try to go too fast and the
- 8:43casuals get pissed off or they go way
- 8:45too slow and I get pissed off. Having a
- 8:47group of people to play with that just
- 8:49play the game the same way you do, I
- 8:52think is really important. And being
- 8:54able to meet up with a camp as well,
- 8:56once again, pretty huge. If you don't
- 8:58have leather working but a friend of
- 9:00yours has leather working, the camp tent
- 9:02giving 5% rested experience if you're
- 9:04all in the same zone or quite close to
- 9:06each other and you can naturally meet up
- 9:09with a camp anyway, that 5% rested
- 9:11experience is actually really valuable,
- 9:13especially in the higher levels.
- 9:17Now, in the WoW forever we also have a
- 9:19lot of a new content, a lot of new
- 9:22quests added, a couple of brand new
- 9:25zones to do while leveling as well,
- 9:27brand new dungeons. There's a lot of
- 9:29stuff to explore and I'm trying to keep
- 9:31this video rather spoiler free just
- 9:34because people play the game
- 9:35differently. Some people want to go in,
- 9:37experience everything for themselves.
- 9:39So, all I'm going to say for this one is
- 9:41that I've been leveling in Duskwood on
- 9:43the beta. And in Duskwood, there's a
- 9:45couple of new quests that you don't
- 9:47really know they're quests until you
- 9:50find them. And if you do all of them, it
- 9:53gives you like 75% of a level. And it's
- 9:56usually for doing content you're already
- 9:58doing in in Duskwood, by the way. So, if
- 10:01you know what you're doing, you can pick
- 10:02up another almost a full level in
- 10:05Duskwood by doing the new quests that
- 10:08are added in the game, which is already
- 10:10doing stuff you're doing anyways. So, if
- 10:12you care about leveling fast, doing
- 10:14those new types of content is really
- 10:17important. And what I'm going to say
- 10:18here, if you find a mob that you haven't
- 10:21seen before, you might want to kill that
- 10:23mob. Maybe it's part of something, might
- 10:26be part of a secret, might give you a
- 10:27quest item that starts a quest. Could be
- 10:30a lot of cool stuff happening. So, if
- 10:32you see something that feels new and out
- 10:34of place,
- 10:35think about why that is. And if you like
- 10:38don't want to do the whole guessing game
- 10:40before yourself, I would say, grab
- 10:42yourself a leveling add-on like restedXP
- 10:44for example, link down below by the way.
- 10:46Um this one has built-in leveling routes
- 10:49and it's actually taken a bunch of a new
- 10:51leveling route in WoW Forever. I mean,
- 10:54first of all, we have access to 40
- 10:55quests in our quest log now that all
- 10:58this spices up the way you level quite a
- 11:00bit and your level pathing quite a bit
- 11:02as well. And then you have all of the
- 11:03new quests. So, what restedXP has, it
- 11:06has brand new leveling routes for level
- 11:091 to level 35. And from level 35 to 60,
- 11:12it uses the old classic WoW leveling
- 11:15guides because WoW Forever is classic
- 11:17WoW based. And at some point, really
- 11:20shortly after launch, it will also have
- 11:21level 35 to level 60 updated as well.
- 11:25So, if you're a novice speed leveler,
- 11:26chances are there might be a restedXP
- 11:28update from level 35 to level 60 as
- 11:31well. So, you can follow the arrow all
- 11:33the way to level 60. And I've been using
- 11:35the level 1 to level 30 guide so far on
- 11:37the beta, and they have made a really
- 11:40huge improvement for WoW Forever.
- 11:42Leveling just feels so super smooth now
- 11:44with 40 quest cap and all of the brand
- 11:47new quest as well. If you want to check
- 11:49out rested XP and have a guide helping
- 11:51you level faster and not waste time.
- 11:54Like one of the huge things about R XP
- 11:56for me is saving time. I don't feel like
- 11:59it takes any the magic away per se,
- 12:02because you still do the content. Even
- 12:04like it only tells you where to pick up
- 12:06the quest and where to go. You are still
- 12:08the one killing the mobs and finding out
- 12:11the stuff and looting the stuff and
- 12:13things. I don't feel like it takes any
- 12:15of the magic away. It just makes you not
- 12:17waste time and optimizing your time and
- 12:20just helping you level slightly faster.
- 12:23If you want to check it out by the way,
- 12:24the link is going to be down below in
- 12:25the pinned comment. And if you click my
- 12:27link, I get a discount I get a kickback
- 12:31from your purchase and you get a
- 12:33discount on your purchase. So, it's a
- 12:35win-win, right? You can check it out
- 12:36once again in the link down below.
- 12:38Either way, that's pretty much a quick
- 12:40video here on leveling in WoW Forever.
- 12:42We're getting quite close to launch now,
- 12:44so I figured I would just make a video
- 12:45here talking about leveling in kind of a
- 12:47broader format without doing any
- 12:49in-depth speed leveling stuff. It's just
- 12:51a couple of tips and tricks you kind of
- 12:53want to think about when you're leveling
- 12:54up in WoW Forever. If you have anything
- 12:57to add, do so in the comments down below
- 12:58and leave a like if you enjoyed the
- 13:00video. Also, we're trying to push for
- 13:0270,000 subs with WoW Forever, which
- 13:05would be insane. It's a massive
- 13:07milestone for me at least and if we can
- 13:09reach that through WoW Forever, that
- 13:11confirms classic WoW is better than
- 13:13retail. So, hey, do your part, okay?
- 13:15Thank you anyway. I'll see you guys next
- 13:17time.
