  1. 0:00Uh, I don't even know how to pronounce
  2. 0:01this handle. Uh, when should you start
  3. 0:03running paid ads assuming your getting
  4. 0:04marketing already working well?
  5. 0:06Great question.
  6. 0:07So,
  7. 0:10paid ads is one of those doors that I
  8. 0:12don't want to say it's a one-way door,
  9. 0:14but once you start it, it's kind of it's
  10. 0:17hard to put the genie back in the bottle
  11. 0:18because you have to put a lot of
  12. 0:19infrastructure in place in order to run
  13. 0:21paid ads correctly. And I'm going to
  14. 0:23make an assumption here. This is for
  15. 0:24services. If you're doing e-commerce,
  16. 0:26it's easier to spin spin paid up without
  17. 0:28like a lot of extra infrastructure.
  18. 0:31With service, you're probably going to
  19. 0:31sell over the phone. You have to have
  20. 0:32phone teams. There's other stuff
  21. 0:34involved. If you're going straight to a
  22. 0:35checkout page,
  23. 0:37basically whenever you do it, like if
  24. 0:39your content gets bigger, the ads will
  25. 0:41just work better. And so think about
  26. 0:42your your your content as the top of
  27. 0:44funnel. It warms the audience up, and
  28. 0:46then you retarget with your paid ads. If
  29. 0:48you truly use paid ads for cold cold,
  30. 0:51like no one knows who you are, then that
  31. 0:54once you get that converting, it will
  32. 0:55all it'll all convert your your warm
  33. 0:57because the ocean of people who don't
  34. 0:59know you is always going to be bigger
  35. 0:59than people who you do. But the magic
  36. 1:01sweet spot I think for most people is
  37. 1:04doing organic as kind of laying the
  38. 1:05foundation and then kind of retargeting
  39. 1:07with paid because when you do organic,
  40. 1:09it's very difficult to make CTAs, right?
  41. 1:11That type of content does not perform,
  42. 1:13right? People know if you're trying to
  43. 1:14ask for, you know, for or whatever,
  44. 1:15right? And so it doesn't get reach, it
  45. 1:17doesn't get shares, it doesn't get
  46. 1:18engagement, all that kind of stuff. On
  47. 1:19the flip side,
  48. 1:21when you make an ad, you can be very
  49. 1:24targeted about who you want it to get
  50. 1:25get shown to, and you can make a very
  51. 1:27direct ask, and you can guarantee that
  52. 1:29it gets reach because you pay for it,
  53. 1:31right? And so that's basically the idea
  54. 1:32is like I my perspective is we yes, and
  55. 1:36and the strategy from a branding
  56. 1:38perspective is that the entirety of your
  57. 1:39brand as someone sees it is the
  58. 1:41combination of the ads and the organic
  59. 1:43because people's minds don't
  60. 1:44differentiate, right? And so it's like I
  61. 1:46would like to still have more organic
  62. 1:48going out than paid ads, but the organic
  63. 1:51leads the way. It finds new audiences.
  64. 1:54It warms those people up to my stuff,
  65. 1:56and then we follow up with the ads.
  66. 1:58That's my thinking process. But
  67. 1:59basically, whenever you run paid ads,
  68. 2:00you're going to make more money, as long
  69. 2:02as you know how to run them.
  70. 2:03Cuz more people will find out about your
  71. 2:04stuff, and you're going to make more
  72. 2:05direct offers.
  73. 2:07And so then, what you don't want to do
  74. 2:08is kind of like burn through your
  75. 2:09audience with paid. And so I think
  76. 2:11there's a sweet spot kind of what I'm
  77. 2:12referencing, cuz if you do cool burn
  78. 2:13through your audience, then you actually
  79. 2:14need to change the way you sell
  80. 2:16in order to accommodate colder traffic.
  81. 2:19And that then has a lot of upside, but
  82. 2:21you're going to have to change the whole
  83. 2:22machine. All right, so I'm just saying
  84. 2:24as somebody who's done both.
  85. 2:25Um I'd say it's significantly higher
  86. 2:27ROAS, return on ad spend, to use organic
  87. 2:31to cement the way, and then have paid
  88. 2:33kind of layered on top. If you like this
  89. 2:35video and you're a business owner who
  90. 2:36wants to break through your current
  91. 2:37revenue ceiling, I distilled every
  92. 2:38lesson from scaling 10 businesses past
  93. 2:4010 million, and three businesses past
  94. 2:42100 million, into a completely free
  95. 2:43scaling road map that I've used to go
  96. 2:45from zero to one, zero to 10, and zero
  97. 2:47to 100 plus. And so you can click here,
  98. 2:49and you can check it out. Again,
  99. 2:50absolutely free, and since you're a
  100. 2:51business owner, I appreciate you, and
  101. 2:53enjoy.
