  1. 0:00I was getting thousands of views per day
  2. 0:03within 2 weeks of starting this Channel
  3. 0:05I didn't post in forums get shoutouts or
  4. 0:08use some secret technique all I did was
  5. 0:10upload two videos and nothing else today
  6. 0:13you'll learn how to get those results
  7. 0:15for your own channel chapter 1 Breaking
  8. 0:17the algorithm getting YouTube's
  9. 0:19algorithm to blow up your channel is
  10. 0:22actually really simple here's how it
  11. 0:24works explained by the largest Creator
  12. 0:26on the platform if people are clicking
  13. 0:28and watching then it gets promoted more
  14. 0:30and that's all that's literally all the
  15. 0:32algorithm does is reflect what the
  16. 0:33People Want it really is that simple
  17. 0:36success on YouTube comes when you make
  18. 0:38videos that people click on and watch
  19. 0:40the hard part is doing it better than
  20. 0:42everyone else but based on my experience
  21. 0:45with two successful channels and my
  22. 0:47research into the methods of the best
  23. 0:49creators on the platform I have created
  24. 0:52a stepbystep process to take your videos
  25. 0:55to the Moon in fact your next video will
  26. 0:58Mark that changing point in your channel
  27. 1:01if you do everything I tell you to
  28. 1:04chapter 2 a good idea messing up in the
  29. 1:06idea stage under Minds the entire video
  30. 1:10which makes this step the most important
  31. 1:12to start create a list of whatever you
  32. 1:14can think of that sounds interesting to
  33. 1:16people in your Niche focus on what your
  34. 1:18Niche wants what they care about what
  35. 1:20they're scared of or even what they're
  36. 1:22insecure about the real question here is
  37. 1:24what video titles can you craft that
  38. 1:26address the needs of your audience
  39. 1:29figure out what content will live up to
  40. 1:30the title later and that's not even all
  41. 1:32there is to it see if you can catch the
  42. 1:35mistake with this video
  43. 1:37here it's about just one single feature
  44. 1:41that wasn't super interesting most
  45. 1:43people in my Niche didn't have a reason
  46. 1:45to watch this however this video was
  47. 1:47relevant to far more Terraria players
  48. 1:50because the idea was way more broad so
  49. 1:52your ideas can't be super specific they
  50. 1:55must be attractive to most people in
  51. 1:57your
  52. 1:58niche finding ideas can be challenging
  53. 2:02at first so a little trick that I like
  54. 2:04to use is to just leave all that
  55. 2:06thinking to the pros I'll study Trends
  56. 2:08and popular videos from my Niche and
  57. 2:10then try to take ideas a step further or
  58. 2:13put some sort of twist on
  59. 2:15[Music]
  60. 2:21it wait stop you cannot make the video
  61. 2:24just yet you'll see why in just a second
  62. 2:27chapter 3 thumbnails and titles you
  63. 2:30still need to make the title and
  64. 2:32thumbnail so you can actually calculate
  65. 2:34the quality of that idea you see for it
  66. 2:36to be a good idea there must be at least
  67. 2:38one very compelling reason to click on
  68. 2:41the video if you can't figure out a way
  69. 2:43to do that then maybe you should watch
  70. 2:45this video here or maybe your idea just
  71. 2:48sucks if that's the case do not use that
  72. 2:51idea here's a video where it's very
  73. 2:53obvious what the reasons to watch are
  74. 2:55for starters you want to see what liquid
  75. 2:57sand looks like when it's moving around
  76. 2:59in a recording but you'd also like to
  77. 3:01know how it works and what it looks like
  78. 3:02to swim in in and for this video the
  79. 3:04reason to watch is that Terraria players
  80. 3:06love to know about new features and
  81. 3:08therefore this video will be interesting
  82. 3:10because it covers a new feature to the
  83. 3:12game so the reason to watch is to learn
  84. 3:14about the Oasis in Teraria that is some
  85. 3:16the reason to watch can't
  86. 3:19require a bunch of rationalization
  87. 3:21otherwise it's a really weak reason
  88. 3:23nobody cares about your video until you
  89. 3:25give a solid reason to watch it like
  90. 3:27this find for yourself the difference in
  91. 3:29how enticing these two videos
  92. 3:34are when it comes to designing the
  93. 3:36thumbnail it's essential to make a
  94. 3:38thumbnail that lets anyone in your Niche
  95. 3:41immediately understand what's going on
  96. 3:43you can't rely too much on the title
  97. 3:45here because most often viewers look at
  98. 3:47the thumbnail before they look at the
  99. 3:48title so don't use a poorly shot photo
  100. 3:51or an uncropped screenshot otherwise
  101. 3:53your thumbnail is just too bland and
  102. 3:55confusing next to all the others most
  103. 3:57YouTubers don't even use a single frame
  104. 4:00from their video to make the thumbnail
  105. 4:02instead they take new photos often
  106. 4:04piecing multiple together to create an
  107. 4:06image that most effectively represents
  108. 4:09the idea of that video now for the title
  109. 4:12it's the best opportunity for giving a
  110. 4:14reason to watch my reason typically
  111. 4:16comes from titling the video as a
  112. 4:17question but it's also a great strategy
  113. 4:20to instead give extra context about your
  114. 4:22video just make sure that the reason to
  115. 4:24watch is still clear chapter 4 plan the
  116. 4:26script remember earlier how Mr Beast
  117. 4:29described the algorithm well think of
  118. 4:30your entire scripting process as your
  119. 4:33plan for this part making people watch
  120. 4:35your video for as long as possible even
  121. 4:38something like a vlog where you've
  122. 4:40recorded everything first requires you
  123. 4:42to consider what footage you have and
  124. 4:44then create a storyboard because without
  125. 4:46a strong strategy to maximize viewer
  126. 4:49retention you will lose viewers
  127. 4:51incredibly quickly a great way to think
  128. 4:54about all this is a big water tank with
  129. 4:56a leak in the bottom at the start of
  130. 4:58your video you're at a full tank but it
  131. 5:00drains quickly and once it's out viewers
  132. 5:03start looking for something better to
  133. 5:04watch the only way to keep viewers is to
  134. 5:06do a little refill by giving value to
  135. 5:08your audience say or do something
  136. 5:10interesting something important or
  137. 5:12helpful even just make them smile
  138. 5:14something like that also be aware that
  139. 5:16the tank drains at different speeds
  140. 5:17depending on your audience some niches
  141. 5:19and age groups have an attention span of
  142. 5:21around 20 seconds While others can last
  143. 5:23maybe 2 or 3 minutes knowing that you
  144. 5:26should spread out your key points of
  145. 5:27information evenly throughout the video
  146. 5:29to consistently refill the tank start by
  147. 5:32separating the video into different
  148. 5:33sections each with a couple bullet
  149. 5:35points to list the takeaways Next plan
  150. 5:37out some pockets of dopamine little
  151. 5:39edits montages or jokes to give the vi a
  152. 5:42quick break without these your video
  153. 5:43flies by way too quickly which
  154. 5:45overwhelms the viewer and prevents them
  155. 5:47from absorbing anything chapter 5 script
  156. 5:51writing do you remember a minute ago
  157. 5:54when I talked about that water tank well
  158. 5:56here is where it really comes into play
  159. 5:58once you start allow viting on the
  160. 6:00takeaways you just listed explain them
  161. 6:02as simply as you can a 10-minute video
  162. 6:04that could have been 3 minutes will be
  163. 6:06so boring that the average view duration
  164. 6:08will likely be just a minute but'll flip
  165. 6:10this around a 3 minute video which is so
  166. 6:13compact that it feels like 10 minutes
  167. 6:15will be so entertaining that the average
  168. 6:18view duration is likely closer to 2 and
  169. 6:201/2 minutes but that being said trimming
  170. 6:22down your video too far actually hurts
  171. 6:25engagement it makes it feel really
  172. 6:27chaotic and kind of soulless so while
  173. 6:29your wording should get to the point
  174. 6:31quickly it should still resemble the
  175. 6:33spirit of a natural conversation so make
  176. 6:35it feel like you're actually talking to
  177. 6:37the viewer they should be an Engaged
  178. 6:39listener thinking about what you've said
  179. 6:40and asking questions if you constantly
  180. 6:43tell things the exact same way it gets
  181. 6:45monotonous but if you switch it up
  182. 6:48sometimes use an analogy or an example
  183. 6:50tell a story or ask a question it makes
  184. 6:52the video much more engaging but as you
  185. 6:55may have noticed there's now an even
  186. 6:57bigger problem you see with you you
  187. 6:59shortening your videos so much you
  188. 7:01struggle to reach that 8 Minute Mark
  189. 7:03where this sweet sweet cash comes
  190. 7:05rolling in so here's where the really
  191. 7:07highle stuff comes in I like to call it
  192. 7:09valuable I first discovered
  193. 7:12this when watching a Ryan Trahan video
  194. 7:14about a soundproof room I was surprised
  195. 7:16at first that the video lasted exactly 8
  196. 7:18minutes but while watching I couldn't
  197. 7:20help but admire what Ryan was doing and
  198. 7:22by the end of the video I had learned
  199. 7:24one of the most crucial YouTube
  200. 7:26strategies you see the duration of that
  201. 7:29video was not a coincidence his video
  202. 7:32could have lasted 5 minutes but he
  203. 7:34extended it using valuable
  204. 7:36check this out the creator of the
  205. 7:38world's quietest room is a man named
  206. 7:39Steve Steve orfield of orfield
  207. 7:41Laboratories I'm scared of this man for
  208. 7:43a number of reasons not only does he
  209. 7:44send two-word response emails but also
  210. 7:46orfield Laboratories literally sounds
  211. 7:48like the place a demagorgon would be
  212. 7:49hiding in the next season of stranger
  213. 7:51things it's quick and subtle but it's
  214. 7:53funny and that gives value to the viewer
  215. 7:55also it builds a more personal
  216. 7:56connection to who's watching which makes
  217. 7:58him stick around with you for for longer
  218. 8:00all of the ways that Ryan fluffed up his
  219. 8:02video added something to it rather than
  220. 8:04stretched out what was already there
  221. 8:06before we talk about just forgetting all
  222. 8:08of this and letting AI write everything
  223. 8:10we need to talk about the most important
  224. 8:12part of the script the intro if you do
  225. 8:14not take those first few seconds to meet
  226. 8:17the expectations people had going in
  227. 8:19they will stop watching so take a good
  228. 8:21look at your title and thumbnail what
  229. 8:23made someone click that what information
  230. 8:25what pacing and what mood are they
  231. 8:27expecting your entire video but
  232. 8:29especially the intro needs to align with
  233. 8:31those three principles as for
  234. 8:33specifically what you say there is no
  235. 8:35single answer you just confirm to them
  236. 8:37that your video will be what they
  237. 8:39expected and then immediately start
  238. 8:40delivering but please I am begging you
  239. 8:43do not ask for likes for subscribers or
  240. 8:46for money that is not what they came
  241. 8:48here
  242. 8:49for now about AI it is a great tool to
  243. 8:53help with your script writing I use it
  244. 8:54to find better vocabulary to shorten
  245. 8:56sentences and to improve my flow but I
  246. 8:59would never use it to write a script
  247. 9:02that's because AI is just stupid it's
  248. 9:03trained using books and websites and
  249. 9:06therefore writes kind of the same way
  250. 9:08but YouTube videos aren't written the
  251. 9:10same as books all right sure using AI is
  252. 9:12lazy and it messes up the video but what
  253. 9:15I'm about to say is even worse and guess
  254. 9:18what you probably do it too I sure did
  255. 9:20back in my Terraria Channel I would draw
  256. 9:22out the second half of my script and
  257. 9:24just kind of half ass it well it's true
  258. 9:26that people are more likely to keep
  259. 9:28watching the second half if they made it
  260. 9:30through the first half they're only more
  261. 9:32likely to keep watching but I counted on
  262. 9:34people staying once they got around to
  263. 9:35that halfway mark the writing editing
  264. 9:37and everything else would get way worse
  265. 9:40then I put in an outro that gave credits
  266. 9:42and stuff like that it took me a while
  267. 9:44to learn that there is no such thing as
  268. 9:46an outro on YouTube talk about why I
  269. 9:49hadn't blown up yet is because I was
  270. 9:51thinking of my channel one video at a
  271. 9:54time and therefore viewers looked at my
  272. 9:56channel the same way one video at a at a
  273. 9:59time but what if they looked at my
  274. 10:00channel five videos at a time 10 videos
  275. 10:03at a time you know there is no better
  276. 10:04way to tell YouTube to blow up your
  277. 10:06channel than to have people binge your
  278. 10:08videos so plan for that don't let
  279. 10:10viewers get bored of you keep the second
  280. 10:12half just as good and then they're far
  281. 10:14more likely to watch another of your
  282. 10:16videos next okay with all of that being
  283. 10:18said the most important thing for you to
  284. 10:20do is to avoid not writing anything
  285. 10:23because you're just trying to get it all
  286. 10:24perfect writing is a process it's never
  287. 10:27going to be perfect the first time
  288. 10:29chapter 6
  289. 10:30recording so about recording I actually
  290. 10:34uh recorded my first two videos on my
  291. 10:37iPhone and a Blue Snowball and the
  292. 10:41videos actually did really good what's
  293. 10:43actually important is to just get as
  294. 10:46many Clips as possible you can't have
  295. 10:48one continuous shot of you talking you
  296. 10:50need a variety of things for the viewer
  297. 10:52to look at for my Terraria Channel I
  298. 10:54would spend on average 10 hours
  299. 10:57recording footage just so I could switch
  300. 10:59the clips every 5 seconds and yes it is
  301. 11:02worth it the impact on your attention is
  302. 11:05massive chapter 7
  303. 11:07editing the core of editing is pacing
  304. 11:11you see the style can be whatever you
  305. 11:12want but pacing pacing always has to be
  306. 11:15as fast as possible to really give you a
  307. 11:18sense of what it should be let's look at
  308. 11:20the bare minimum a 90-minute nature
  309. 11:23documentary this is a very slow paced
  310. 11:25genre yet at a random point in the film
  311. 11:28the video cut to three different clips
  312. 11:30in 15 seconds an average of 5 Seconds
  313. 11:33per clip while the style was extremely
  314. 11:35minimalist just some background footage
  315. 11:37music and a voice over the editing
  316. 11:39maintained a Brisk pace so if this is
  317. 11:42just about the slowest editing you can
  318. 11:44possibly get away with what does that
  319. 11:46have to say about your videos which
  320. 11:47Linger on the same clips for 10 20
  321. 11:50seconds and that's not even to mention
  322. 11:52the pauses that you make while you're
  323. 11:53speaking no one wants to see you staring
  324. 11:56around trying to figure out what you
  325. 11:57have to say next
  326. 12:01um or any part of your video that's just
  327. 12:04a couple seconds long where nothing's
  328. 12:06happening cut that out too besides that
  329. 12:08the style of editing should match up
  330. 12:10with the genre of your video and the
  331. 12:12audience you have the wrong editing
  332. 12:14style can really ruin your video so
  333. 12:16figure out how the best creators in your
  334. 12:18Niche edit and then learn how to make
  335. 12:20something similar okay here's the most
  336. 12:22underrated editing tip ever create a
  337. 12:25variety of how much energy your video
  338. 12:28gives off the stark contrast of a
  339. 12:30hyperedited section abruptly turning
  340. 12:32into a mellow a-roll segment forces the
  341. 12:35viewer to jump back into Focus these
  342. 12:37changes in pacing keeps the viewer from
  343. 12:39zoning out wait do you hear that that
  344. 12:41kind of like rumbling sound that's
  345. 12:44called a riser oh that was a hit these
  346. 12:48are just two examples of sounds that
  347. 12:50make the video way more immersive just
  348. 12:52as important are transition sounds
  349. 12:55ambient sounds and some Folly sounds
  350. 12:57sound design creates a really nice audio
  351. 12:59experience which will help keep the
  352. 13:01viewers watching for a little longer so
  353. 13:03I definitely recommend it I used to use
  354. 13:05freesound.org but now use in photo
  355. 13:07elements and sound effects aren't the
  356. 13:09only way you can spice up the audio
  357. 13:11rather than throwing in a couple
  358. 13:13background songs that kind of work
  359. 13:15create a more immersive experience by
  360. 13:17choosing a larger variety of Music a lot
  361. 13:20of the pacing and mood of a video comes
  362. 13:22from the music so find songs that work
  363. 13:25really well for what you're aiming for
  364. 13:27so yeah that is the basic process but
  365. 13:29for someone like you I think you want
  366. 13:31something better so click here for the
  367. 13:32more detailed version of all of this
