  1. 0:00guys check out this email that i got to
  2. 0:02my fake dentist website hey kitsolano
  3. 0:04dentist i hope you're doing great we can
  4. 0:06get your website on the front page of
  5. 0:09google we'll be happy to send you a
  6. 0:10proposal and pricing furthermore thanks
  7. 0:13and regards marketing team so this is
  8. 0:15exactly what you should not be doing if
  9. 0:17you're looking to get new seo clients
  10. 0:20now i'm not saying that cold emails
  11. 0:22don't work but this type of email i know
  12. 0:24for a fact will not have a good
  13. 0:26conversion rate i remember back in the
  14. 0:28day i used to watch this seo called
  15. 0:30daryl rosser and he had this phenomenal
  16. 0:32email template that i started using and
  17. 0:35this is the email template right here hi
  18. 0:36ricky i came across your website today
  19. 0:38when searching for roofing in london you
  20. 0:40can obviously substitute this for
  21. 0:42whatever scenario or niche you're
  22. 0:43working with and notice that you don't
  23. 0:45show up in maps section and are number
  24. 0:4733 in the organic listings uh that's a
  25. 0:49lot of calls you're missing out on so i
  26. 0:50made a video showing why your top three
  27. 0:52competitors are outranking you you then
  28. 0:53list the competitors are you the right
  29. 0:55person to send this video to if you are
  30. 0:57please reply this email i'll send it
  31. 0:58over otherwise just let me know a lot
  32. 1:01better email and the magic of this is
  33. 1:03that you only create that video once
  34. 1:05that client replies and says that yes
  35. 1:07they are the right person to send that
  36. 1:09video to so when i was starting out and
  37. 1:11i was a freelancer i used to use
  38. 1:12templates like these um and i got some
  39. 1:15replies but from having built that fake
  40. 1:17dentist website and if you guys want to
  41. 1:19watch that video you guys can check it
  42. 1:20out right here i realized how many
  43. 1:22people are pursuing cold emails i would
  44. 1:24get these type of emails every single
  45. 1:27day so unless your email sticks out from
  46. 1:29the bunch you send creative emails like
  47. 1:32daryl's you most likely won't be very
  48. 1:34successful in getting new seo clients
  49. 1:36with cold emails and in my personal
  50. 1:39opinion i think this is currently the
  51. 1:41worst way of getting new seo clients
  52. 1:44especially if you don't spend a lot of
  53. 1:45time curating that perfect
  54. 1:48email so what i want to do today guys is
  55. 1:50i want to talk about five other ways
  56. 1:51that you can get seo clients even if
  57. 1:54you're a complete beginner also guys i
  58. 1:56do want to quickly thank the sponsor of
  59. 1:57today's video ahrefs i've been using
  60. 1:59them for years as you guys know and in
  61. 2:01my personal opinion they're the best seo
  62. 2:03tool in the market now the number one
  63. 2:06thing you can do to get seo clients
  64. 2:09especially if you're starting out is to
  65. 2:11create content now hold on because we
  66. 2:13actually need to be smart about the the
  67. 2:15content that we create right because if
  68. 2:17we try and write articles and try and
  69. 2:19rank on google for keywords in the seo
  70. 2:21space we're going to be competing with
  71. 2:24big dogs like ahrefs and semrush and moz
  72. 2:27and all these other big guys so i
  73. 2:29actually think the opportunity in
  74. 2:31creating content is hidden in a lot of
  75. 2:33other platforms so platforms like
  76. 2:35twitter linkedin and especially youtube
  77. 2:38each platform is gonna be a different
  78. 2:39type of work and there's different
  79. 2:41mediums that you're gonna be using to be
  80. 2:42successful in each of these platforms
  81. 2:45but what i suggest is picking one
  82. 2:47platform and being consistent and diving
  83. 2:50deep into that platform the actual
  84. 2:52content that you post on these platforms
  85. 2:54can be about your journey learning about
  86. 2:55seo if you're a complete beginner you
  87. 2:57can talk about case studies if you're
  88. 2:59more advanced if you have clients or any
  89. 3:01random insights that you find that's
  90. 3:03going to get people talking people
  91. 3:04following you and over time people will
  92. 3:06start to see you as an expert in that
  93. 3:09topic and the magical thing about this
  94. 3:11guys is that once you've mastered one's
  95. 3:14of these platforms clients will actually
  96. 3:16come to you instead of you having to
  97. 3:18chase them down and just a word of
  98. 3:20advice from a new youtuber like myself
  99. 3:23that has entered a very competitive
  100. 3:24space like seo there's always space for
  101. 3:27new people and as competitive as you
  102. 3:29might think it is to get into the seo
  103. 3:31space for example it's all about being
  104. 3:33consistent because there's always space
  105. 3:35for newcomers now second thing i want to
  106. 3:37talk about is niching down and
  107. 3:38specializing in one specific thing now
  108. 3:41this is something that i've been seeing
  109. 3:42quite a bit and i think it's honestly
  110. 3:44genius there's websites like this one
  111. 3:46right here
  112. 3:47lawrence.com and what these guys do is
  113. 3:49they basically provide digital marketing
  114. 3:51services for law firms only right and so
  115. 3:54by specializing in one specific niche
  116. 3:56this not only builds trust for their
  117. 3:58prospective clients but it allows them
  118. 4:00to be that main name in the space right
  119. 4:02if you're thinking about digital
  120. 4:03marketing for law firms i know that law
  121. 4:05rank does this very very well this also
  122. 4:07means that you simplify a lot of the
  123. 4:09internal processes that you have for
  124. 4:11working with clients so instead of
  125. 4:13taking on an e-commerce website and then
  126. 4:15a local seo website and then a sas which
  127. 4:18is something quite common for a normal
  128. 4:19digital marketing agency you would
  129. 4:21instead be constantly receiving the same
  130. 4:24type of client so the same type of law
  131. 4:26firm that most likely needs articles on
  132. 4:28the blog a little bit of link building
  133. 4:30and maybe some local seo adjustments so
  134. 4:32you can streamline a lot of these
  135. 4:34internal processes and become a lot more
  136. 4:36efficient so that's another great way of
  137. 4:38getting seo clients third thing i want
  138. 4:40to talk about is events and conferences
  139. 4:42and i think this one's really powerful
  140. 4:44you can honestly show up to any type of
  141. 4:46business startup event or conference and
  142. 4:49you will find people that own businesses
  143. 4:51and that most likely need help growing
  144. 4:53businesses and if you talk to those
  145. 4:55business owners in person you will most
  146. 4:57likely create a stronger relationship
  147. 4:59than if you met them online right so
  148. 5:01you're gonna have a great opportunity to
  149. 5:02introduce yourself to talk about case
  150. 5:04studies and to talk about how you can
  151. 5:05help out that business owner so i really
  152. 5:08recommend attending any events or
  153. 5:10business conferences around you to meet
  154. 5:12those people that might be potential seo
  155. 5:15clients another topic i want to talk
  156. 5:16about is applying to seo jobs now this
  157. 5:19is a little bit strange but this is
  158. 5:21actually something that happened to me
  159. 5:22in the past in a previous job when i was
  160. 5:24hiring an seo team i ended up posting a
  161. 5:26bunch of jobs in in a variety of job
  162. 5:28boards because i got such a limited
  163. 5:30amount of talented seos that actually
  164. 5:32applied to those jobs we ended up taking
  165. 5:35a person that was a freelancer that
  166. 5:37their main clause for working with us
  167. 5:39was remaining a freelancer and for us to
  168. 5:41become one of their clients so often
  169. 5:44companies might not be 100
  170. 5:46dead set on having a team internally so
  171. 5:49if you can sway a company to hire you as
  172. 5:51a freelancer or to hire agency then that
  173. 5:54might also be a possibility of getting
  174. 5:56new seo clients again this happened to
  175. 5:58me and we ended up having a phenomenal
  176. 5:59partnership with this freelancer and
  177. 6:01they ended up doing great work and the
  178. 6:03last thing i want to touch on guys is
  179. 6:04partnering up with complementary
  180. 6:07agencies so what i mean by that is
  181. 6:09partnering up with an agency that
  182. 6:11performs a service that you don't so for
  183. 6:13example if i create an seo agency and i
  184. 6:16specialize in seo when i have a client
  185. 6:18that asks for ppc services i would like
  186. 6:21to refer that client to another agency
  187. 6:23that's a specialist in performing those
  188. 6:25ppc services and then as a result i will
  189. 6:28in exchange get a lot of seo clients
  190. 6:30from them since most likely when someone
  191. 6:32signs up for ppc services they also
  192. 6:34often want seo services and guys i also
  193. 6:37recommend sticking to one thing not
  194. 6:39trying to specialize in all the
  195. 6:40different aspects of digital marketing i
  196. 6:42recommend sticking to one thing and
  197. 6:44becoming very very good at that specific
  198. 6:47thing and again guys this will most
  199. 6:48likely work better once you have that
  200. 6:50steady trail of clients coming in and
  201. 6:53guys if you like this video i recommend
  202. 6:54you guys check out this video it's my
  203. 6:56complete guide on how to become an seo
  204. 6:58expert in 2022 thanks to ahrefs again
  205. 7:02for sponsoring this video i'll see you
  206. 7:04guys in the next one
