  1. 0:00i wanted to talk about the death of mr
  2. 0:02epstein do you uh
  3. 0:03concur with the opinion that it was a
  4. 0:05suicide
  5. 0:06that was the finding of the coroner sir
  6. 0:08okay do you have any evidence suggest
  7. 0:10otherwise i do not how could this have
  8. 0:12happened
  9. 0:13[Music]
  10. 0:14unfortunately sir this thing is this
  11. 0:16side that's mr epstein on suicide watch
  12. 0:18yes he watched tell us is it a systemic
  13. 0:21problem do we have a lot of people who
  14. 0:22sleep on the job when they're supposed
  15. 0:23to be guarding federal inmates
  16. 0:25we have a few sir and we
  17. 0:31how can i put this
  18. 0:36[Applause]
  19. 0:39someone in the comments asked me to take
  20. 0:40a look at the jeffrey epstein hearing
  21. 0:42and as you know i'm always kind of
  22. 0:44interested in looking at communication
  23. 0:45and how people
  24. 0:46especially give excuses or talk about
  25. 0:49something that later comes out as a
  26. 0:50fraud
  27. 0:51in this case i took a quick look at the
  28. 0:53eps scene hearing which is
  29. 0:54after jeffrey epstein killed himself and
  30. 0:57the person responsible or the people
  31. 0:59responsible were then asked in congress
  32. 1:01about this so there was a hearing for
  33. 1:02that and why i found this interesting is
  34. 1:04that
  35. 1:04the answers given by this person about
  36. 1:07jeffrey epstein and his alleged suicide
  37. 1:09are very similar to the answers given by
  38. 1:11the sec
  39. 1:12about the bernie madoff fraud and why
  40. 1:14they didn't catch him i thought
  41. 1:16okay this is very interesting you have
  42. 1:17these two very different segments
  43. 1:19and you have the strong overlap a little
  44. 1:21bit of context bernie madoff committed
  45. 1:23the biggest financial fraud
  46. 1:24in history it was about 50 billion in a
  47. 1:27ponzi scheme
  48. 1:28that he lost his investors and jeffy
  49. 1:30epstein
  50. 1:31had like some type of a sex ring he has
  51. 1:33been convicted of
  52. 1:34rape and sexual assault and prostitution
  53. 1:36of underage girls stuff like that
  54. 1:38what was the crime of which you were
  55. 1:40convicted soliciting prostitution
  56. 1:42and procuring a minor for prostitution
  57. 1:44and he was involved with a lot of very
  58. 1:46powerful people
  59. 1:47might have been blackmailing them who
  60. 1:49knows but obviously
  61. 1:50as you probably know the suicide is very
  62. 1:52controversial it was
  63. 1:54a very convenient solution for those who
  64. 1:56might have been behind him this is why
  65. 1:58there was a hearing so why didn't you
  66. 2:00catch them
  67. 2:00and the same thing with bernie madoff
  68. 2:02bernie madoff that was a hearing because
  69. 2:04there were so many red flags in the sec
  70. 2:07which is the regulatory organization who
  71. 2:09is supposed to catch people like madoff
  72. 2:11didn't catch him not only that they were
  73. 2:13ignoring the people screaming for them
  74. 2:15to investigate
  75. 2:16nato so in both cases i think it's
  76. 2:19pretty obvious there's some very heavy
  77. 2:21corruption and
  78. 2:22it's also very obvious that the answers
  79. 2:24are very very similar let's say you're
  80. 2:26on a hearing
  81. 2:26and you want to not answer a question or
  82. 2:29you want to give a really really dumb
  83. 2:30excuse how do you do it i think this is
  84. 2:32the perfect playbook on how to do it so
  85. 2:35number one if you're asked a question
  86. 2:37about this critical case
  87. 2:38that you don't want anybody to talk
  88. 2:40about then what you should say is that
  89. 2:42you can't give specific answers but you
  90. 2:44can
  91. 2:44only give very general answers we cannot
  92. 2:48answer as to the specifics i can only
  93. 2:50talk
  94. 2:51about what we did what we do overall
  95. 2:54no no we want to know specifically and
  96. 2:56i'm really not at liberty to discuss
  97. 2:58uh specifics of this case i can discuss
  98. 3:01issues around
  99. 3:02institutional operations but i can't
  100. 3:04specifically talk about that particular
  101. 3:06issue if that doesn't work and the
  102. 3:08person who is asking you is still not
  103. 3:10satisfied then you can go
  104. 3:11to number two and saying that you have
  105. 3:13so much to do
  106. 3:14and you have so many different cases
  107. 3:16that this one
  108. 3:18particular case wasn't that special
  109. 3:21last year we brought 670 some odd cases
  110. 3:24in the past
  111. 3:24two years we brought 70 cases involving
  112. 3:28ponzi schemes
  113. 3:29in those 70 cases listen
  114. 3:32listen sir we take every inmate's life
  115. 3:36very seriously in the bureau of prisons
  116. 3:37a high-profile inmate is no more
  117. 3:39important or significant
  118. 3:41in terms of our operations than just the
  119. 3:43average inmate number three
  120. 3:44obviously you have to deal with an angry
  121. 3:47question
  122. 3:48if you screwed up and everybody knows
  123. 3:50you screwed up and you don't really have
  124. 3:51a good answer
  125. 3:52then people are gonna get angry so if
  126. 3:54you have an angry questioner you have to
  127. 3:57deal with it
  128. 3:57and the best thing is to breathe keep
  129. 4:00calm and just make sure to
  130. 4:02not give any answer at all your mission
  131. 4:05you said
  132. 4:06protect investors and detect fraud
  133. 4:09quickly
  134. 4:10how'd that work out what went wrong
  135. 4:14you have totally and thoroughly failed
  136. 4:16in your mission
  137. 4:17well sir i i i am sorry you feel that
  138. 4:21way
  139. 4:21profoundly so it is wrong as a
  140. 4:24management matter
  141. 4:25for you to say we treat everybody the
  142. 4:27same we should be treating people who
  143. 4:29are yet to testify
  144. 4:30against other felons against other
  145. 4:32rapists they have a lot more priority
  146. 4:34for your institution don't they
  147. 4:36senator all of our pretty much all of
  148. 4:38our inmates that are any of our
  149. 4:40jail facilities are pre-trial they're
  150. 4:41they're still yet to testify to be
  151. 4:43involved to share information on other
  152. 4:45cases
  153. 4:45now you're in a bad position because you
  154. 4:47always said you can't give a specific
  155. 4:49answer you already said this wasn't a
  156. 4:51special case
  157. 4:52now they got angry and you still didn't
  158. 4:54answer so what do you do now so
  159. 4:55obviously
  160. 4:56now what you can do is you can just push
  161. 4:58the blame away from you
  162. 5:00by talking about this whole system that
  163. 5:02has been instantiated by the government
  164. 5:05or by any other institution so this is
  165. 5:06actually not your fault not your
  166. 5:08department's fault
  167. 5:09it's actually the fault of those who
  168. 5:11have created the apartment so you're
  169. 5:13pushing the blame across
  170. 5:14time back a few decades into the past
  171. 5:17let's see if it works
  172. 5:18i would like to explain our suicide
  173. 5:20watch system if i may i can't talk
  174. 5:22specifically about epstein
  175. 5:23but we have different tiers of response
  176. 5:25if we identify an inmate who appears to
  177. 5:27be
  178. 5:28having suicidal thinking and i came into
  179. 5:30the bureau as a psychologist i've worked
  180. 5:31with lots of suicide inmates
  181. 5:32i was working in our psychiatric
  182. 5:34facility in butner and i know how
  183. 5:35difficult it is
  184. 5:36to always be able to predict who is
  185. 5:37suicidal who is not it's a process
  186. 5:40congress set up to identify
  187. 5:44the facts that we all need to make these
  188. 5:46judgments
  189. 5:47let's let the system work that congress
  190. 5:49created
  191. 5:51there will be some recommendations there
  192. 5:53will be time for this committee
  193. 5:55to look at the facts and to think of the
  194. 5:58recommendations themselves and lastly
  195. 6:00if none of these things work the last
  196. 6:03thing you can do
  197. 6:04if you really really screwed up it's
  198. 6:06just push the blame on other people
  199. 6:08or say that very incompetent people were
  200. 6:11involved in the process and this is the
  201. 6:13reason
  202. 6:13but we do have some i know out there who
  203. 6:16obviously
  204. 6:16choose not to follow policy choose not
  205. 6:20to do their job
  206. 6:21and we want them gone i do not want them
  207. 6:23in our institutions and i am exploring
  208. 6:24those very very carefully
  209. 6:26to identify them and get them out of our
  210. 6:28system the commission's approved taking
  211. 6:30this position
  212. 6:31the commission has voted the position
  213. 6:33that you will cite
  214. 6:34executive privilege in not testifying
  215. 6:37before this committee and answering its
  216. 6:38questions
  217. 6:39i couldn't say that to you honestly
  218. 6:40because their
  219. 6:42specific reasons obviously weren't
  220. 6:44discussed
  221. 6:45and given by the commission but the
  222. 6:47basis is
  223. 6:48that we've seen your value to us is
  224. 6:51accommodation
  225. 6:52and we've your value to the american
  226. 6:54people is worthless
  227. 6:56and your contribution to this proceeding
  228. 6:59to account
  229. 7:00all right i hope you liked the video i
  230. 7:02wanted to have a really kind of
  231. 7:03fun version comparing the two because
  232. 7:05they are so similar
  233. 7:06and i think this just shows how horrible
  234. 7:09politics are
  235. 7:10you know what what would be obviously
  236. 7:12you don't want to be in a totalitarian
  237. 7:14state you don't want to force
  238. 7:16people to take responsibility you don't
  239. 7:17want to be in a communist country
  240. 7:19where everybody's held accountable and
  241. 7:21there's no oversight and it's all gonna
  242. 7:23be
  243. 7:23like oh you screwed up you're gonna go
  244. 7:25to jail gonna be executed you don't
  245. 7:27wanna have that but what i would like to
  246. 7:29see is that
  247. 7:30when such a thing happens like a really
  248. 7:32really bad thing
  249. 7:33said you don't put them on the spot and
  250. 7:35ask them questions you send them a
  251. 7:37letter
  252. 7:37like a few weeks ahead and you say that
  253. 7:40we're gonna invite you to a hearing
  254. 7:41during this hearing we're gonna ask you
  255. 7:43these five questions
  256. 7:44and for all of these five questions we
  257. 7:46want to have real
  258. 7:48answers that can help us solve the
  259. 7:51problem
  260. 7:51and if you cannot deliver the answers
  261. 7:53after weeks of preparation you can be
  262. 7:55legally liable for the consequences
  263. 7:58so we could put you personally in prison
  264. 8:01if
  265. 8:01you do not give us answers i think this
  266. 8:04might be an interesting way
  267. 8:06to get answers out of it but it's
  268. 8:07probably not going to happen
  269. 8:09because i think this whole thing is a
  270. 8:10charade anyway if
  271. 8:12they don't have to answer they can hide
  272. 8:14behind rules and regulations
  273. 8:15then they aren't supposed to answer this
  274. 8:17is just a political stunt like the
  275. 8:19hearing and stuff like that
  276. 8:20well all right i hope you liked the
  277. 8:22video let me know see you on the next
  278. 8:23one
  279. 8:24how long have you been sexually
  280. 8:26attracted to underage minor females
  281. 8:29are you kidding
