Full transcript
- 0:00In today's video, I'm going to quickly
- 0:01show you how to fix this annoying
- 0:03problem of having Snapchat in here stuck
- 0:06on this pop-up or prompt which says,
- 0:08"Due to repeated attempts or other
- 0:10suspicious activity, your access to
- 0:12Snapchat is temporarily disabled." Or
- 0:14simply something related to support code
- 0:17SS06
- 0:18right here. This is a common error that
- 0:20many users face while trying to log in
- 0:23or trying to use Instagram. And this may
- 0:26restrict you from logging in or from
- 0:28uploading stuff on Snapchat. So, I'm
- 0:31going to show you how to fix this
- 0:32annoying problem in here. But, do not
- 0:34forget, if you find my content useful,
- 0:36give it a thumbs up, consider
- 0:37subscribing, and like the video as it
- 0:39really really helps me out reaching out
- 0:42to more people and consequently help
- 0:44more people fixing tech issues. Now,
- 0:46first things first, this is something we
- 0:48may fix at the moment or it may be
- 0:50something that may take some time.
- 0:52Usually, Snapchat restricts us with that
- 0:55specific error code when we violate the
- 0:58specific community guideline on
- 1:00Snapchat. That may be, for example,
- 1:02uploading several stuff or several posts
- 1:05onto Snapchat or using VPN to spoof your
- 1:08location or something that may trick the
- 1:10algorithm or that violates Snapchat
- 1:13community guideline. So, you need to
- 1:15ensure that you do not violate several
- 1:17times, otherwise you may be permanently
- 1:20banned from Snapchat and from using
- 1:23Snapchat on your iPhone device or your
- 1:26Android device, regardless of the device
- 1:28that you've got. Now, the very first
- 1:30thing we're going to be doing in here is
- 1:31to actually hop into settings of our
- 1:34device. This can be your iPhone as well
- 1:36as your Android phone, no problem. Hop
- 1:37into settings, and then you want to
- 1:39scroll down all the way to a section
- 1:41where you do have the settings related
- 1:43to your Snapchat account. In my case,
- 1:45I'm going to tap on apps, for example,
- 1:47down here as I do have an iPhone. And
- 1:49then I'm going to scroll down all the
- 1:50way to Snapchat. And then here I do have
- 1:52all the settings related to Snapchat.
- 1:54Permission to use my microphone,
- 1:56permission to use my camera and stuff
- 1:58like that. So, what you want to do is
- 2:00tap on location and ensure that it's set
- 2:03to always. That's the very first step or
- 2:05simply turn it on if you do have a
- 2:07different operating system with a
- 2:09different designation in here. But, what
- 2:11you want to do is grant access of your
- 2:14location to Snapchat so they can
- 2:16actually locate you and see that you are
- 2:18located in a familiar location you used
- 2:20to be and this may allow you to gain
- 2:23access to Snapchat. Now, if that doesn't
- 2:26fix the problem, do not worry. We're
- 2:27moving into the next step. We're going
- 2:29to close settings and then we're going
- 2:30to reopen settings and now we want to
- 2:32search for VPN. If you have an iPhone,
- 2:35all you need to do is scroll down and
- 2:36tap on VPN in here and see if you do not
- 2:39have a turned on VPN service. If you
- 2:41have something like connected, you just
- 2:43want to toggle it off to turn it off. If
- 2:45you're unable to find VPN here, you can
- 2:47simply search by tapping at the top or
- 2:49at the bottom depending on the software
- 2:51version that you do have. Simply search
- 2:52for VPN real quick and then see if you
- 2:56do not have any VPN option turned on or
- 2:59your phone connected to a VPN service.
- 3:01If you have an Android device, you can
- 3:03also search because on settings you do
- 3:05have a bar to search for a specific
- 3:07setting. So, you want to search for VPN
- 3:09and see if you do not have any VPN
- 3:11turned on. Once you've turned it off,
- 3:13you want to close Snapchat real quick
- 3:15and then you want to reopen Snapchat to
- 3:17see if you can now log in into Snapchat
- 3:19without any problem. So, give it a try
- 3:22and see if it sorts out the problem or
- 3:24not. Now, if the problem still persists,
- 3:26you're unable to log in. We're moving
- 3:28into the next step where I would
- 3:30recommend you to restart your device.
- 3:33Now, if you do have an iPhone, I would
- 3:35recommend you to force restart your
- 3:37device which is a specific way of
- 3:39restarting that actually cleans up a lot
- 3:41of bugs and errors on your device.
- 3:43Especially when you've just changed a
- 3:45few settings, it's important to force
- 3:47restart so that updates and all the
- 3:49changes you've made actually take
- 3:51effect. If you do have an iPhone 8 or
- 3:54later models, in order to force restart,
- 3:56all you need to do is rapidly tap on
- 3:58volume up and then down and then press
- 4:00and hold the power button continuously.
- 4:01Do not release the power button until
- 4:03you see the Apple logo on your screen.
- 4:05There we go. I'm still pressing my power
- 4:07button. I'm still pressing the button.
- 4:10So, once you see Apple logo on your
- 4:12screen, you're going to release the
- 4:13power button and let your iPhone turn on
- 4:16normally. Essentially, what a force
- 4:18restart does, it's as if we've
- 4:20disconnected the battery from our
- 4:21motherboard or from our device and then
- 4:23we've reconnected it. It doesn't delete
- 4:25any sort of data or anything like that.
- 4:28It's just a restart on your device. Now,
- 4:31if you do have, for example, an iPhone 7
- 4:33or 7 Plus, in order to force restart,
- 4:36all you need to do is just press and
- 4:37hold the volume down along with the
- 4:39power button. Press and hold both of the
- 4:41buttons continuously until you see the
- 4:43Apple logo and then you're going to
- 4:44release both of the buttons combination.
- 4:47Now, if you do have a much older iPhone
- 4:49device with a physical home button down
- 4:50here, in order to force restart, all you
- 4:53need to do is press and hold that
- 4:54physical home button along with the
- 4:56power button. Press and hold both of the
- 4:57buttons continuously until you see the
- 5:00Apple logo and then you're going to
- 5:01release both of the buttons combination.
- 5:03Now, if you do have an Android device,
- 5:05all you want to do is simply restart
- 5:07your device by pressing and holding the
- 5:09power button and then sliding to power
- 5:11it off or tapping on a specific button
- 5:13to turn off your phone and then you want
- 5:15to turn it back on. Now, once you've
- 5:17turned it back on, you want to disable
- 5:19your Wi-Fi and try to open up Snapchat
- 5:22or log in to Snapchat using your mobile
- 5:24data or your cellular carrier data,
- 5:27right? So, you want to open up Snapchat
- 5:29real quick and then you want to see if
- 5:30the problem gets sorted out, if it
- 5:32allows you to log in and use your
- 5:35Snapchat account normally. Now, if the
- 5:37problem persists, what you're going to
- 5:38do is simply uninstall Snapchat, of
- 5:41course, after following all these steps
- 5:43because they are in a sequence where one
- 5:45step actually complements the other. So,
- 5:48we're going to uninstall Snapchat real
- 5:50quick. Press and hold on Snapchat,
- 5:52simply tap on remove app or uninstall or
- 5:55delete app depending on your device,
- 5:57okay? If it's an Android, the process
- 5:59may be a bit different. May jiggle and
- 6:01then you need to tap on X. There we go.
- 6:03Next up, you want to open up App Store
- 6:05or simply open up your Play Store and
- 6:07then you want to search for Snapchat
- 6:10real quick and download it one more
- 6:12time. But this time you want to download
- 6:14it with your cellular data or using your
- 6:16cellular data and not Wi-Fi. So, here on
- 6:19App Store or Google Play Store, we're
- 6:21going to search for Snapchat real quick.
- 6:24There we go. Snapchat is right here. And
- 6:26then we're going to tap on download to
- 6:28download Snapchat from scratch. Now,
- 6:30this process will take you a couple of
- 6:31seconds or minutes depending on your
- 6:33internet speed. Just be patient, relax,
- 6:36and wait, and let your device do its
- 6:38thing. It's going to install Snapchat
- 6:40into your device real quick. And please
- 6:42attempt this after restarting your
- 6:44device as we've done in the previous
- 6:46steps. So, once we're done installing
- 6:48it, we're going to search for Snapchat
- 6:49in here within the home screen. There we
- 6:51go. We do have it right here. Tap on
- 6:53Snapchat and then you want to try
- 6:54logging in one more time. Now, if you
- 6:56see something like remove account, you
- 6:58can also tap on remove and then re-login
- 7:01from scratch because your device may
- 7:03remember your account because you've
- 7:05logged in previously, right? So, you
- 7:07want to log in, type in your password or
- 7:09anything like that, and then you're good
- 7:11to go. You want to test it out one more
- 7:12time to see if the problem is sorted out
- 7:15or not. Allow everything that it's going
- 7:17to ask you so it can get so it can gain
- 7:19access to your microphone, to your
- 7:20camera, and stuff like that, okay? So,
- 7:23don't allow it at the moment. Continue,
- 7:25continue, continue. Share all contacts.
- 7:27There we go. Now, you want to give you
- 7:28one more try and see if the problem is
- 7:30sorted out right now. This should
- 7:32definitely solve the problem. If it
- 7:33doesn't, the only thing I would
- 7:35recommend you is to contact Snapchat
- 7:37support team by hopping into Google,
- 7:40searching for Snapchat support team, and
- 7:42then you can email them and say, "Hey, I
- 7:44believe my account has been accidentally
- 7:46suspended, and I do see this error SS06.
- 7:49Please unblock my account or unban my
- 7:50account." And you can ask them to
- 7:53actually clean this error from your
- 7:55account. But be gentle and humble, and
- 7:57do not forget to insert your Snapchat
- 7:59username as well as your email address
- 8:01so they can reach out back to you from
- 8:03that website form that you're going to
- 8:05fill it up. Thank you so much for making
- 8:07it till the end of the video. And if you
- 8:08find my content useful, give it a thumbs
- 8:10up. Consider subscribing, and like the
- 8:12video as it really, really helps me out
- 8:14to reach out to more people and
- 8:16consequently help more people fixing
- 8:18tech hacks as well. I'll see you in the
- 8:20next one. Have a great day.
