Full transcript
- 0:00In this video, I'm going to show you how
- 0:01you can edit viral podcast reels like
- 0:03these using only AI. Even if you've
- 0:06never edited anything with AI before,
- 0:07don't worry. This tutorial is a complete
- 0:10a toz guide. I'll show you how to take a
- 0:12raw podcast like this one that was made
- 0:13by Chris Williamson and turn it into
- 0:15this viral Instagram reel using the
- 0:17fivephase podcast reel workflow. Phase
- 0:20one, Claude will watch through our
- 0:21podcast and extract highquality short
- 0:23form clips. Phase two, we'll use
- 0:24Submagic to create highquality captions
- 0:26for our video. Phase three, Claude will
- 0:28analyze the script and plan out amazing
- 0:30animations. Phase four, Claude will then
- 0:32prompt Hicksfield to create stunning
- 0:33designs like these for all the clips.
- 0:35And finally, phase five, Claude will
- 0:37turn all these designs into highquality
- 0:38animations using Hickfield. At the end
- 0:40of the video, I'll even show you how
- 0:42long this edit took and how much it
- 0:44cost. But first, it all starts with
- 0:46phase one, clipping.
- 0:49First, it all starts here with this raw
- 0:51podcast. The first thing we need to do
- 0:52is clip a highquality short form clip
- 0:55out of this long form video. And
- 0:56traditionally, this means watching
- 0:57through the entire video to find the
- 0:59best hook, then placing clips
- 1:01sequentially to formulate a story out of
- 1:03that hook. But with Claude, we no longer
- 1:04need to do that. Here's how it does the
- 1:06clipping for us. First, Claude needs to
- 1:08be able to watch our podcast. So, we
- 1:10feed it a timestamp transcript. Head
- 1:12over to 11 Labs, click on speech to
- 1:14text, and then transcribe files. And
- 1:15since my podcast is on YouTube, I'll
- 1:17just copy the link and paste it here. 11
- 1:19Labs generates a transcript of the full
- 1:21podcast. But this doesn't have the
- 1:22timestamps. So, click on this plus sign
- 1:24and generate subtitles for the video.
- 1:26Now, you've got timestamps. Finally,
- 1:27click on export and export as a JSON. A
- 1:30JSON file just shows what is being said
- 1:31in our video and when it is being said.
- 1:33Remember that because those timestamps
- 1:35are really about to matter. Now, I pull
- 1:37up Claude, upload this file into the
- 1:38prompt, and tell it to load up a skill
- 1:40called the short form clipper skill and
- 1:42use it to extract five highquality
- 1:43premium short form clips from the
- 1:45script. While it's running, let me take
- 1:4720 seconds to explain how this skill
- 1:48actually works. In Ultimate Editors, we
- 1:50have courses on clipping where I explain
- 1:52how to clip videos like these out of
- 1:54long- form podcasts. So, we uploaded
- 1:56them to Claude and trained it on
- 1:57clipping. On top of this, I clipped out
- 1:59multiple clips from a podcast myself and
- 2:01gave Claude a detailed breakdown of why
- 2:03I chose those scripts and why I
- 2:04structured each clip that way. Claude
- 2:06studied exactly how I clip and turned it
- 2:08all into the short form clipper skill.
- 2:10And just in case you want these skills
- 2:11for yourself, we're putting all of them
- 2:13inside the AI editing fundamentals
- 2:14masterass in Ultimate Editors, where
- 2:16you're going to get to learn how to edit
- 2:17viral videos with AI and get access to
- 2:1912 highquality video editing skills for
- 2:21Claude. The link is down below. Now that
- 2:23Claude has finished processing, it gives
- 2:24us five highquality clips out of this
- 2:26transcript. I read through all of them,
- 2:28and my favorite was clip three. It uses
- 2:30a relatable topic as a hook with an
- 2:31unexpected reframe. Then it tells a
- 2:33story, jumps in time to an example, and
- 2:35wraps up with an outcome. This was
- 2:37perfect. Now to cut it out, I just
- 2:38uploaded my podcast over the claude and
- 2:40told it to trim this clip out of the
- 2:42video. It lines up the timestamps on our
- 2:44script with the timestamps of our video
- 2:46and cuts our clip out of the main
- 2:48podcast. And now we end up with a
- 2:49highquality short form clip that
- 2:51actually works well, which brings us to
- 2:52the next phase.
- 2:55Next up is phase two, generating the
- 2:57captions. Once you have a clean,
- 2:58high-quality clip, it's time to generate
- 3:00the captions. There are many tools that
- 3:01could generate high- quality captions
- 3:03for you. Dcript, Submagic, Opus. In this
- 3:05case, I'm going to be using Submagic.
- 3:07Head over to your browser of choice and
- 3:08load up Submagic. Click on the create
- 3:10project in the top right and then click
- 3:12on upload from computer and upload the
- 3:14clip that we just made. Give it a second
- 3:15to load and then you're going to see
- 3:16this here. Click on style and select the
- 3:18style of the subtitles. This is entirely
- 3:20up to you, but I personally always
- 3:22recommend that you go with something
- 3:23clean and minimal, especially for these
- 3:25kinds of edits. I love the Kelly 3
- 3:26style, so I'm going to click on it, but
- 3:28I'm also going to make some changes.
- 3:29First, I change the font type here to
- 3:31Poppins and choose the light font
- 3:32weight. Then, I scale it down to 30. And
- 3:35finally, I move it down to the lower
- 3:36thirds of the screen. Now, once your
- 3:38captions look good and you're satisfied,
- 3:39click on export and download the video.
- 3:41Now, we've got a high-quality clip
- 3:43subtitled in no time, which brings us to
- 3:45phase number three.
- 3:47The next phase in our workflow is
- 3:48planning out the edit. We need to plan
- 3:50out what needs to be shown on screen in
- 3:52order to make this video go viral. To do
- 3:54this, I'm going to pull up Claude and
- 3:55prompt it this. I want you to now plan
- 3:57this full edit for optimal virality and
- 3:59viewer retention. To do this, use the
- 4:00podcast clip planner skills that you've
- 4:02been taught and I'll let it run. And of
- 4:04course, while it's running, I'll take
- 4:05the next 20 seconds to explain how this
- 4:07podcast planner skill works. We have
- 4:09multiple courses in Ultimate Editors
- 4:10that break down how I plan animations
- 4:12for videos. So, we fed all of those to
- 4:14Claude and told her to study them. Then,
- 4:15I fed it 10 full scripts and the exact
- 4:17animations that we planned for each
- 4:19sentence. That's thousands of sentences
- 4:21and thousands of animations planned for
- 4:23them, which was more than enough for
- 4:24Claude to study how planning edits work.
- 4:26Using all this, I prompted Claude to
- 4:27extract the content psychology behind
- 4:29how we planned our edits and what we
- 4:31need to show on screen. and it created
- 4:32the editor brain skill that we're using
- 4:34here. Again, if you guys want access to
- 4:36all these skills, they're all inside the
- 4:38AI editing fundamentals course in
- 4:39Ultimate Editors. The link's down below.
- 4:41But now that it's done, take a look at
- 4:42this for the hook. This is what Chris
- 4:44says.
- 4:45>> What often looks like discipline today
- 4:47is just the echo of someone's past
- 4:50obsessions.
- 4:51>> Claude planned to keep this as a-roll to
- 4:52help the viewer connect to the speaker.
- 4:54In the next clip, Chris says this.
- 4:56>> I started going to the gym when I was 18
- 4:58because I was obsessed with gaining
- 4:59muscle. So Claude planned a scene
- 5:01focused on a dumbbell design. The clip
- 5:03after this was this. Skip nights out
- 5:05partying to stay in my bedroom and read
- 5:07the Misk forums on bodybuilding.com. And
- 5:09Claude planned a form and a TV scene to
- 5:11show what he's talking about. Now the
- 5:13section after that was a time jump.
- 5:14Claude planned to leave this as a role
- 5:16to give the viewer some rest. The next
- 5:17section starts with this clip. And
- 5:19Claude planned a fossilized scene for
- 5:20this part. Then in this clip, Claude
- 5:22planned an orbit scene with all these
- 5:24subjects. After that, Chris says this.
- 5:26what once obsessed me has now just
- 5:28simply become me.
- 5:30>> And Claude chose to put a conclusive
- 5:32scene like this. For the section after
- 5:33it, Claude decided to leave it as A-roll
- 5:35to give the viewers some rest again. And
- 5:37then Chris comes back with this final
- 5:39statement to which Claude finishes the
- 5:40video with this as the last animation.
- 5:42As you can see, this edit is planned out
- 5:44like a professional video editor would.
- 5:46And if we follow this plan, you can bet
- 5:48the video is going to turn out so high
- 5:50quality that it keeps our viewer hooked
- 5:51all throughout. And now that we have the
- 5:53raw clip and captions and a plan on what
- 5:55needs to be created, it's time to create
- 5:57it. Moving us straight into phase four.
- 6:00Phase four is the design phase. In this
- 6:02phase, we're going to be turning our
- 6:03plan into high quality designs. To do
- 6:05this, I prompt Claude, create
- 6:07highquality scene designs based on the
- 6:08plan you just created. Use the podcast
- 6:10designer skill for this and follow a
- 6:12white and orange color theme. Create the
- 6:13designs for every scene in Hicksfield
- 6:15using GPT image 2 at 2K resolution. And
- 6:17then I let her run. The real secret to
- 6:19getting good designs is the podcast
- 6:21designer skill. What we did here is we
- 6:23went over to Pinterest and gathered
- 6:24hundreds of inspiration of good white
- 6:26vertical designs. All kinds of different
- 6:28styles and colors. Then I uploaded all
- 6:29of this to Claude and told it that this
- 6:31is what I want the designs for the short
- 6:33form podcast animations to be like. I
- 6:35told it to study the colors, the design
- 6:36patterns, the psychology of the layout
- 6:38and everything. At the end, it created
- 6:40the podcast edit designer skill. A skill
- 6:42capable of generating highquality
- 6:44designs for the vertical style in all
- 6:45kinds of different colors. Look, if
- 6:47you're new to video editing and you're
- 6:48finding it hard to keep up with all this
- 6:50stuff, the new editing styles, the
- 6:51complex programs, and now AI video
- 6:53editing, don't worry. This is completely
- 6:55normal. This is exactly why we decided
- 6:57to build the ultimate editors 2.0
- 6:59program. This step-by-step program to
- 7:00teach beginner editors the editing
- 7:02programs, the viral editing styles, AI
- 7:04video editing, and how to make $2,000 a
- 7:06month as a video editor. Inside, you're
- 7:07going to get access to the Premiere Pro
- 7:08and After Effects master classes. You'll
- 7:10also get access to the viral editing
- 7:12style breakdowns where we'll teach you
- 7:13how to create the minimal animation
- 7:14style, the SAS motion design animations,
- 7:16and even the viral talking head style
- 7:18from scratch. On top of all of this, we
- 7:19just released the AI editing
- 7:21fundamentals course where we'll teach
- 7:22you how to create animations like Iman
- 7:24Gaji and Vox from scratch using only AI.
- 7:26And you'll even get access to the 12
- 7:28highquality video editing skills that we
- 7:30spent two months creating for Clot.
- 7:32After all of this, you'll even get
- 7:33access to the $2,000 per month editor
- 7:35blueprint, where I'll show you the
- 7:36secrets to making $2,000 per month as a
- 7:38video editor in 2026. Editors have been
- 7:41killing it with our program. They join
- 7:42as complete beginners, learn to create
- 7:44stunning animations, and they've been
- 7:45making thousands of dollars every month
- 7:47with video editing. If that sounds
- 7:49interesting, click the link down below
- 7:50and join Ultimate Editors. We're going
- 7:51to be raising the price soon, so make
- 7:53sure to join while it's still $97 a
- 7:55month. Now, after around 10 minutes of
- 7:56processing, Claude had created all the
- 7:58designs. So, let's walk through each one
- 8:00and confirm that it looks good. For the
- 8:02hook, we left it as a-roll, so it's all
- 8:04good. For the first section, it created
- 8:05this dumbbell and text animation, which
- 8:07looks awesome. For the clip after it, it
- 8:09generated this TV scene. The section
- 8:10after that was left as a-roll, so no
- 8:12need to worry about it. Then, for the
- 8:14part after that, Claude created a
- 8:15fossilized dumbbell design, which was
- 8:17super cool. For the section after that,
- 8:18Claude generated the orbit design with
- 8:20all the subjects. It looks great. For
- 8:21the belief section, Claude created this
- 8:23scarf design, which looks awesome. And
- 8:25finally, Claude chose to end his video
- 8:26with this conclusive scene which just
- 8:28looks perfect. These designs were
- 8:30awesome. It all followed the color
- 8:31palette and everything looks premium.
- 8:32Now, this brings us to our final phase,
- 8:34phase five, generating the animations.
- 8:38This is where we bring these designs to
- 8:40life by turning them into highquality
- 8:42animations. This is where I prompted
- 8:43Claude, "Now using the podcast animation
- 8:45skill, I want you to animate all of
- 8:47these designs into highquality short
- 8:48form minimal animations for my podcast
- 8:50edit. use the animation logic from the
- 8:52podcast animation skill and generate
- 8:53them using Cance 2.0 at 1080p with no
- 8:56music and just sound effects. And of
- 8:57course, while this is running, I'll
- 8:59finally break down the podcast animation
- 9:00skill that's responsible for generating
- 9:02these stunning animations for our video.
- 9:04Before creating the video, I ran the
- 9:05design skill to make sure everything is
- 9:07working. When I generated designs, I
- 9:08brought them into Hicksfield in Cance
- 9:102.0 and prompted it this. The animation
- 9:13starts with just a white background. In
- 9:14second one, the object slides in in a
- 9:16realistic stone. In second two, the text
- 9:18has a pop-up blur fade in animation that
- 9:20animates word by word. In second three,
- 9:21the designs around the edges of the
- 9:23graphics animate in. All animations are
- 9:25quick and smooth and seamless, not rigid
- 9:27and bouncy. I was able to create
- 9:28stunning animations using that prompt.
- 9:30So then I did that to another three
- 9:31designs, giving it every detail it needs
- 9:33about the animation. With four
- 9:35high-quality animations created and
- 9:36their prompts available, I give it all
- 9:38to Claw to study and told it to study
- 9:40exactly how I prompt Hicksfield to
- 9:41generate high-quality animations like
- 9:43these. So, it studied them and it turned
- 9:44them into the podcast animator skill
- 9:46that understands how to animate
- 9:48high-quality designs like these. Now,
- 9:50after processing for 15 minutes, Claude
- 9:52was done creating all the animations
- 9:53using our podcast animation logic. So,
- 9:55let's take a look through them and make
- 9:57sure the quality is good. For the first
- 9:58scene, the Dumble slides in and the text
- 9:59writes out. It all looks perfect. And
- 10:01notice how the timing and flow is all on
- 10:03point. For the second scene, the TV
- 10:04slides in with a little bounce and the
- 10:06text all writes out. This all looked
- 10:07awesome. The third scene, the Dumble
- 10:09drops into the stone and the text writes
- 10:11out smoothly. This looks perfect. The
- 10:12fourth scene, we see a clean draw out of
- 10:14the lines and a pop-up animation for the
- 10:16icons. For the fifth scene, we see a
- 10:17smooth slide in and a right out, which
- 10:19just looks clean. For the final scene,
- 10:21the stone slides in from the camera, and
- 10:22the text writes out as the dumbbell
- 10:24drops, which all looks awesome. It's
- 10:26safe to say all the animations are on
- 10:28brand and complete. So, now to finalize
- 10:30everything, all we have to do is drag
- 10:31the animations into the edit and
- 10:33finalize it. Let's quickly do that.
- 10:34First, I launched Premiere Pro and then
- 10:36I dragged each animation into exactly
- 10:38where Claude planned for it to be. This
- 10:40was easy and simple. Finally, I wanted
- 10:41to add a final touch for myself. So, I
- 10:43spent 5 minutes doing some
- 10:44post-prouction to make this edit pop.
- 10:46First, I added an adjustment layer and
- 10:48created a zoom out animation at the
- 10:49beginning. Then, I added some risers and
- 10:50whooshes to hook the viewer in the first
- 10:525 seconds. And I felt like this first
- 10:53section was a little slow, so I cut this
- 10:55part here and I tracked the subject to
- 10:57create a cool effect. Finally, I added a
- 10:58good song to the edit, and everything
- 11:00came to life. Now, before I show you the
- 11:01final edit, remember at the beginning, I
- 11:03promised to break down exactly how much
- 11:05this costs and how long it took. So,
- 11:07here we go. For the cost, this entire
- 11:08edit took eight images at 7 credits each
- 11:10and eight animations at 55 credits each.
- 11:13That's just under 500 credits total. And
- 11:14Hakesfield has a plan where you can top
- 11:16up for 500 credits for around $26, which
- 11:18means this entire premium podcast reel
- 11:20cost around $25. As for the time, the
- 11:22clipping took 12 minutes, the captions
- 11:24took five, and the planning took eight.
- 11:26The design took 10, and the animations
- 11:28took around 16. And my final touches
- 11:29took around 15 more. This is all just
- 11:31over an hour in total. But most of that
- 11:33was clawed processing in the background
- 11:35while I did other things. The actual
- 11:36work I put in was around 15 20 minutes.
- 11:3820 minutes of real work and $25 for a
- 11:41viral podcast reel like this one. And
- 11:43this, ladies and gentlemen, after the
- 11:44five phase workflow is the final edit
- 11:46that we end up with. What often looks
- 11:48like discipline today is just the echo
- 11:51of someone's past obsessions. I I
- 11:53started going to the gym when I was 18
- 11:55because I was obsessed with gaining
- 11:57muscle. And I researched protein shake
- 11:59formulations and dreamt of going to
- 12:00Gold's Gym in LA and skip nights out
- 12:02partying to stay in my bedroom and read
- 12:04the MISK forums on bodybuilding.com.
- 12:07The most autistic excuse for not going
- 12:09on a night out ever. Nearly 20 years
- 12:11later, I'm still training. Not because
- 12:13I'm that disciplined or motivated now,
- 12:15but just because an old obsession of
- 12:17mine fossilized into my identity. This
- 12:20is true for my meditation habit and my
- 12:22research for podcast guests and the
- 12:24productivity systems that I've got and
- 12:25my desire to build businesses. What once
- 12:28obsessed me has now just simply become
- 12:30me. This is a quiet reframe that people
- 12:34basically never say out loud. Discipline
- 12:36sometimes isn't the starting point. It's
- 12:39just the residue. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 12:41thank you guys so much for watching all
- 12:42the way till the end of the video. If
