1. 0:16hey guys I'm back with another video I
2. 0:18know it's been a long time I got pretty
3. 0:19sick for a week or so fell off the horse
4. 0:21but we're back I didn't leave you guys
5. 0:22don't worry I figured it's been a while
6. 0:25since I've done a lowle tanking video as
7. 0:26far as you know what to do what to look
8. 0:29out or things like that so we're going
9. 0:31to go ahead and look at a deadmines that
10. 0:33I did actually just last night um this
11. 0:35is another Warrior that I have uh no
12. 0:37chest piece two Ed sword challenge um
13. 0:40this video is off the script so honestly
14. 0:42I might be a little rusty here so we're
15. 0:43going to be bouncing around kind of
16. 0:45talking about a little bit everything
17. 0:46when it comes to lowle tanking so I hope
18. 0:48this video does help especially for a
19. 0:49lot of the new players that either come
20. 0:51to my stream or are overall just looking
21. 0:54for a better grasp of how to tank at a
22. 0:56low level so you don't get discouraged
23. 0:58cuz trust me I know Doom how needs tanks
24. 1:00I can only imagine every other server
25. 1:02out there needs tanks so going ahead and
26. 1:04looking before we even get started I
27. 1:06want to talk about my group so we have a
28. 1:09drood a rogue a Mage and a shaman um now
29. 1:13why I'm telling you this is simply
30. 1:14because you should be knowing going into
31. 1:16your group what you have as far as Cc or
32. 1:20what you have as far as a potential off
33. 1:21tank or okay so I have a Dro so I have
34. 1:24War stomp for Van CLE later on um or I
35. 1:27have an extra off heel from the drw I
36. 1:29have I have a sheep with um the Mage I
37. 1:32have a you know Frost Noel you should
38. 1:33just be always be in the habit of kind
39. 1:35of like dissecting your group so if I
40. 1:37need something from this Mage I probably
41. 1:39should Mark it next thing I want to take
42. 1:41a look at is obviously you can't really
43. 1:42see this but two of the DPS in my group
44. 1:45are actually higher level than me now
45. 1:47this could be a problem and actually the
46. 1:48Rogue is level 25 so pretty overleveled
47. 1:51for deadmines but it was late at night
48. 1:52we couldn't find anything else I want
49. 1:54you to keep this in mind when you see
50. 1:56the Rogue pulling threat on a couple of
51. 1:57the mobs I think a lot of people
52. 1:59low-level tanks get really discouraged
53. 2:02when um DPS player just pulls thread on
54. 2:05them and then they just kind of get all
55. 2:07defeated about the purpose um but don't
56. 2:09worry about it we're going to talk about
57. 2:10that so let's go ahead and get started a
58. 2:12little bit here so honestly looking at
59. 2:15my
60. 2:17bars like that's all you need for low-l
61. 2:19tanking Revenge heroic taunt and Sunder
62. 2:24and you'll find that throughout this
63. 2:26whole video I do not leave defensive
64. 2:29stance there's no reason to there's no
65. 2:31reason to leave defensive stance
66. 2:33especially in a tight enclosed dungeon
67. 2:35like deadmines where you're just
68. 2:37constantly always
69. 2:38pulling there's no reason to leave
70. 2:40defensive stance at these low-level
71. 2:42dungeons honestly you can stay in
72. 2:43defensive stance pretty much all the way
73. 2:45up until like the SMS so that includes
74. 2:48sfk BFD stock aades if you're Alliance
75. 2:51there's no reason to switch dances the
76. 2:53number one common mistake I see and I
77. 2:56was actually just on my Shaman the other
78. 2:58night that I see from lowl tanks is they
79. 3:00charge and then they press Thunderclap
80. 3:03and then they swap stances and then
81. 3:05everybody starts dpsing because they
82. 3:07think Thunderclap holds threat and then
83. 3:09the mobs go all over the place and the
84. 3:11tank has no rage because they don't have
85. 3:13tactical Mastery so that what they do is
86. 3:16they think it works but it does not work
87. 3:18Thunderclap is an extremely overrated
88. 3:20ability in classic wow it only affects
89. 3:23three mobs in
90. 3:25classic a lot of people are are thinking
91. 3:27Thunderclap as the same like powerful
92. 3:29right gaining ability as like cataclysm
93. 3:32or Wrath of the Lich King even TBC it's
94. 3:35not it's mainly used for a debuff and
95. 3:38honestly that debuff it doesn't become
96. 3:40extremely useful until either you have
97. 3:43leftover rage from tactical Mastery or
98. 3:45you're doing endgame raid
99. 3:47bosses so number one mistake is people
100. 3:51go into these dungeons they charge they
101. 3:53press Thunderclap they swap the
102. 3:55defensive stance they have no rage and
103. 3:57then they're like oh what do I do now
104. 4:00and then all the mobs are just running
105. 4:01all over the place do not worry about
106. 4:02Thunderclap Thunderclap is a massive
107. 4:05low-l trap that you should not even be
108. 4:07using not even worried about it look if
109. 4:10you're having problems in your
110. 4:14group that you need a attack speed
111. 4:18debuff in a low-l dungeon you have way
112. 4:20bigger problems way bigger problems than
113. 4:22if you need Thunderclap right okay so
114. 4:25we're going to go ahead and we're going
115. 4:26to skip around here so as I said my bars
116. 4:28are pretty simple literally Revenge
117. 4:30heroic and I'm not even really using
118. 4:32heroic unless I have excess rage I'm
119. 4:34clear about that in all my videos and
120. 4:36Sunder
121. 4:38my rotation at this low level is
122. 4:41literally just Sunder and cleave and
123. 4:45revenge when you need it so
124. 4:48Sunder
125. 4:50Revenge cleave that's it that's all you
126. 4:54should be using that's all you need to
127. 4:56use next I want to talk about shouts a
128. 4:59lot of people are getting shouts
129. 5:01confused like they think that I'm just
130. 5:04talking about them in my videos for no
131. 5:06reason and then but the the point of
132. 5:08shouts is to gather up the
133. 5:10mobs
134. 5:12shouts look if I didn't shout there
135. 5:15they're running all over the place you
136. 5:17can see here in the bottom right hand
137. 5:19corner that the shout did 70 threat it's
138. 5:22not a lot of threat the shouts are not a
139. 5:23lot of threat but if you stack a demo
140. 5:26Shout with a battle shout that gives you
141. 5:28enough threat to round up the mobs and
142. 5:30keep everything
143. 5:32contained your shouts are important at a
144. 5:36low especially at a low level they help
145. 5:38you gather up the
146. 5:40mobs and they kind of let you settle
147. 5:42down and get into that
148. 5:44rotation without worrying about them
149. 5:47running all over the place now here's
150. 5:49another thing I want to talk about too
151. 5:51is do you see this Rogue just blasting
152. 5:53on this non
153. 5:54Elite lowl tanks Panic on that and they
154. 5:57think oh God I got to hold thread on
155. 5:58that and they'll just blow their taunt
156. 6:00on that mob it's a non- elite it's not
157. 6:02going to kill anybody to be honest if
158. 6:06you have a Target that's just hitting
159. 6:10one of your one of your your team
160. 6:13members it's not a big deal they're not
161. 6:15going to die from that right you don't
162. 6:18need to be blowing your whole rage bar
163. 6:20trying to hold threat on one mob because
164. 6:21a guy's blowing coold Downs on one of
165. 6:23those mobs so let's say I'm tanking
166. 6:25three of these defas overseers one of
167. 6:27them gets pulled on me and it's hit in
168. 6:29the Rogue
169. 6:30it's not the end of the world just let
170. 6:33it go it has nothing to do with anything
171. 6:36really like you're not going to die
172. 6:37you're not going to wipe from that and I
173. 6:39see a bunch of low-l tanks blow their
174. 6:41rage bar trying to hold threat on that
175. 6:43one mob and then they end up losing the
176. 6:44other
177. 6:45mobs your rotation again is very
178. 6:49simple Sunder Revenge when you have
179. 6:52it and use your shouts I try to do a
180. 6:55demo and a battle shout right away
181. 6:58before I even start that suer
182. 7:01rotation if you can get them bunched up
183. 7:04not only do you have a more contained
184. 7:07safe spot for your players to start
185. 7:09damaging they're also hitting you if the
186. 7:11mobs are hitting you you're getting more
187. 7:13rage from that I think a lot of people
188. 7:16are also here I'm going to kind of go
189. 7:17off topic here but I think a lot of
190. 7:19people are getting taunt
191. 7:21confused when you taunt you overlap the
192. 7:24threat of what that highest Taun player
193. 7:26had for threat so if a guy has 860
194. 7:29threat on a mob and I press taunt I now
195. 7:32have 868 threat on that mob so anything
196. 7:36I do over that I'm going to hold threat
197. 7:39after the taunt I think people use taunt
198. 7:44too much and they they start to use it
199. 7:46as a
200. 7:47crutch you should only be
201. 7:50taunting either if you lose threat on a
202. 7:54boss or if you have you know two or
203. 7:57three mobs that are all over the place
204. 7:58and you need the contain probably the
205. 8:00most deadly
206. 8:02one people are just using taunt on cool
207. 8:05down and then they're just not even
208. 8:06doing anything to the mod that they
209. 8:08taunt and then they wonder why it runs
210. 8:09off again because well you took the top
211. 8:11threat but you didn't do anything with
212. 8:12it after that so you just let it run off
213. 8:15again I think people get like a weird
214. 8:17misconception about taunt and I think
215. 8:19that's part of the problem too so we're
216. 8:21just going to go ahead and kind of skip
217. 8:23around now look at this look at my rage
218. 8:25bar this is a great spot to take the
219. 8:27look at this I never try to let my rage
220. 8:30bar dip below about
221. 8:3330% dead mind is a great dungeon for you
222. 8:36to learn how to have a pace as a tank I
223. 8:38don't have anger management I don't have
224. 8:40tactical Mastery how am I going to keep
225. 8:43my rage going now you're going to see I
226. 8:46have a Sunder on the mob here correct
227. 8:48look I haven't pressed anything else
228. 8:51other than Auto attack I am now using
229. 8:54this mob if I ever have a single mob I
230. 8:56am using that as rage bait
231. 9:00that mob is nothing to me but rage bait
232. 9:04again this goes back to what I was
233. 9:05saying if I lose threat on a single mob
234. 9:07and let's say it's hitting that drood I
235. 9:09don't care it's not going to kill
236. 9:11anybody I don't need to blow taunt I
237. 9:13don't need to blow more rage to try to
238. 9:14hold threat on it it's not going to kill
239. 9:16anybody a single mob is not going to do
240. 9:18any damage to anybody I don't care if
241. 9:21people pull threat on it I'm literally
242. 9:22just using it to get rage to grab the
243. 9:24next mob as you can see that mob's
244. 9:26already almost dead I have about 70% of
245. 9:28my rage just got about you know 15 extra
246. 9:31rage off that mob now I'm going to go
247. 9:33pull
248. 9:34more I have a full rage bar my healer's
249. 9:37good I'm just going to go grab more mobs
250. 9:39again one suer I crit that's all I'm
251. 9:42using look I'm not using any more
252. 9:44abilities I'm going to the next mob one
253. 9:46Sunder or two sunders is usually enough
254. 9:49to hold the mob long enough for the DPS
255. 9:52just to kill it after that and if they
256. 9:53pull threat they're hitting the mob or
257. 9:55they're hitting the player maybe one or
258. 9:56two times as you can see here I'm
259. 9:58literally just tab sundering I'm a
260. 10:00little low on rage but I'm going to go
261. 10:02ahead and I'm going to pull another mob
262. 10:03here and look they're
263. 10:07dead I just let two mobs hit my players
264. 10:10for a little bit and look what it did it
265. 10:11did literally
266. 10:13nothing people are blowing their rage
267. 10:16bar like panicking that their group
268. 10:17members are getting hit you got to stop
269. 10:19doing that they're not going to
270. 10:21die so I have thread on that I'm going
271. 10:23to stop attacking that I'm going to work
272. 10:25on the other mob now look I haven't
273. 10:27touched this mob in about 5 Seconds and
274. 10:29it's still hitting me I haven't wasted
275. 10:31any more rage on it I look at my threat
276. 10:33bar oh I had two let's say I had 275
277. 10:37threat on it the next guy had
278. 10:3931 I don't need to hit that mob anymore
279. 10:42I need to be working on the next mob so
280. 10:45now I'm here on this mob I quit hitting
281. 10:48this one because I don't need to anymore
282. 10:49the DPS is going to finish it it's not
283. 10:51going to pull threat let's start using
284. 10:53this guy for rage look I'm not doing
285. 10:55anything to this mob anymore he is
286. 10:57officially rage bait
287. 10:59anytime you have a single mob it is Rage
288. 11:02bait for you you need to understand that
289. 11:05so the mo this guy pulls for me one Su I
290. 11:08have threat I throw on another Sunder
291. 11:10just in case that's it now he's
292. 11:12officially rage bait look at my rage
293. 11:15bar these last 30 seconds I really
294. 11:18haven't gone over or under 50%
295. 11:21rage so look I'm pulling again I got to
296. 11:24keep that rage going my healer has 50%
297. 11:27Mana we're basically pulling one or two
298. 11:28mobs at a time or
299. 11:32fine look at my
300. 11:35rage I'm just NE if if you are going
301. 11:38into pools without
302. 11:41rage you are doing your group a dis a
303. 11:44disservice you have to have rage almost
304. 11:46every pool now at a low level like this
305. 11:50you have blood rage if you have any sort
306. 11:52of downtime where you have somebody
307. 11:54drinking or whatever and you don't want
308. 11:56to lose that rage you basically use
309. 11:58blood rage as a placeholder to keep that
310. 12:00rage up cuz you gain 10 rage and then
311. 12:02you gain more per second that is like
312. 12:06your your stopper so let's say someone
313. 12:08needs to drink for 15 seconds you don't
314. 12:10want to lose your 60 rage I'm going to
315. 12:12pop blood rage now keep the rage flowing
316. 12:14so that we can keep
317. 12:16pulling look Sunder demo shouts I throw
318. 12:19out a battle shout as well I I have the
319. 12:22hook on these mobs and I haven't even
320. 12:23done anything to them yet literally just
321. 12:26from demo shout battle shout and I'm
322. 12:28working on the
323. 12:30elite I have two suers on the elite look
324. 12:33at my rage I have all that rage to use
325. 12:35on these other mobs now these mobs are
326. 12:37hitting me I'm gaining rage you see me
327. 12:40Shout again I barely have touched these
328. 12:42mobs and I have 170 threat and the next
329. 12:45person on my on my list at
330. 12:52zero let's keep going a little bit here
331. 12:55this room's a little tricky I'm not
332. 12:57really going to be talking about pulling
333. 12:58or anything you obviously you should
334. 13:00have a ranged weapon again this video
335. 13:02was more towards kind of like
336. 13:05basically just the ins and outs of
337. 13:07tanking again one mob look at my rage
338. 13:11bar I'm going to keep pulling anytime
339. 13:14you have one mob consider it just a rage
340. 13:16bait if it hits a player it does not
341. 13:18matter I'm just Auto attacking two suers
342. 13:21up good I have my two suers up before he
343. 13:24was 50% health I'm now using him as rage
344. 13:27look at that I still have 50% of a rage
345. 13:29bar after two
346. 13:30sunders it's basically like I didn't
347. 13:32even use any rage I just got a massive
348. 13:34crit I'm going to throw a su up look at
349. 13:37my threat I've done one Sunder and a
350. 13:39crit I have 300 more threat than the
351. 13:41next player I do not need to press
352. 13:44anything else and this is where people
353. 13:45get confused they feel like they just
354. 13:47have to keep pressing Sunder they have
355. 13:49to keep pressing Revenge you don't have
356. 13:51to do that you don't have to do
357. 13:54that look at your threat bar I have one
358. 13:57Su and a crit up this guy is now raing
359. 13:59bait or girl I have a full rage
360. 14:02bar to use for these next mobs it's all
361. 14:06about learning how to use your rage bar
362. 14:09as a weapon use it as a way to dictate
363. 14:11the pace use it as a way to make the run
364. 14:14faster but also more
365. 14:17efficient once you learn how to do that
366. 14:19the rest comes very
367. 14:22easy again I'm literally only pressing
368. 14:25Sunder I'm pressing Revenge when I have
369. 14:28it I'm using my
370. 14:30shouts and I don't even really touch
371. 14:32heroic strike unless I have all of those
372. 14:34pressed and I have nothing else to
373. 14:37press I hope this video helped I know
374. 14:40it's very
375. 14:42basic but I see time and time again
376. 14:45people are getting very confused when it
377. 14:47comes to overusing the rage essentially
378. 14:51on targets that necessarily don't even
379. 14:54matter people are using Thunderclap
380. 14:56which is a big no no and then they
381. 14:58switch stances and then they realize
382. 15:00they have no
383. 15:03rage you have a very simple
384. 15:05rotation it's literally all about how to
385. 15:08conserve your rage I hope this video
386. 15:11helped if you guys have more questions

389. 15:17kind of all over the place but it's more
390. 15:19of just a conversation about how to be
391. 15:21tanking at a low level I hope this video
