1. 0:00what is a three-point perspective well
2. 0:02let me show you by drawing a horizon
3. 0:04line outlining our working area and
4. 0:05putting two dots outside of it on the
5. 0:07horizon line making our floor grid and
6. 0:09here's the interesting part the third
7. 0:10dot can be placed either above or below
8. 0:13the horizon line so see here if you put
9. 0:14the dot below and draw out three lines
10. 0:16like so then intersect these two lines
11. 0:18coming from the horizon line at the
12. 0:20middle line over here we get a sort of a
13. 0:21bird's eye view of an object that seems
14. 0:23to shrink not only in two horizontal
15. 0:25directions but also a vertical downward
16. 0:27Direction so this is a good way to draw
17. 0:29a city skyline for a comic from a hero's
18. 0:31perspective but on the other hand if you
19. 0:33were to put the third dot above the
20. 0:35horizon line you get a ground view
21. 0:36perspective of an object and its form
22. 0:38shrinking away from us into the clouds
23. 0:40and if you wish to rotate the viewing
24. 0:41angle just move the Horizon dots away
25. 0:43and towards the center of your working
26. 0:45area giving you a third point
27. 0:47perspective
